J39nB471_p0947a02 J39nB471_p0947a03康熙元年壬寅住重慶府觀音寺。上堂。至座,云:「曾拾J39nB471_p0947a04靈峰座上花,今朝重放示三巴,箇中開口依前笑,三J39nB471_p0947a05十痛棒不饒他。」即陞。拈香,云:「此瓣香,拈起鎮乾坤,位J39nB471_p0947a06清名正;放下安天地,道泰物和。爇向爐中,祝延J39nB471_p0947a07當今萬萬歲,文武顯宦、本蜀尊官,伏願聖德無疆,皇子J39nB471_p0947a08皇孫續傳永,一人有慶,文武忠臣世代欽。」次,拈香,云:J39nB471_p0947a09「此瓣香,棘栗叢中無罣礙,劍樹刀山慶有虞,煙塵不J39nB471_p0947a10避連風雨,鎧甲無聲帶水泥。信手拈爇爐中,奉為欽J39nB471_p0947a11命四川兵部尚書都察院李公國英大金湯,海角聲J39nB471_p0947a12聲知進退,旌旗步步看高低,令行密密宣王化,識得J39nB471_p0947a13太平正此時。」斂衣坐。白椎竟,師云:「幾度中元節,威風J39nB471_p0947a14在一時,拄杖傳心旨,梧葉飄玉墀,含識迷根本,無情J39nB471_p0947a15尚知歸。者裏有知歸者麼?」問:「海闊從魚躍,天空任鳥J39nB471_p0947a16飛,歸在甚麼處?」師以杖一卓,云:「不識目連覓地藏,且J39nB471_p0947a17向金井看秋風。」問:「大悲現千手眼,和尚現甚麼?」師舉J39nB471_p0947a18杖,云:「山僧者箇能縱、能奪、能殺、能活,若還識得,三界J39nB471_p0947a19無縛。」問:「月映秋潭時如何?」師云:「清白分明。」進云:「明鏡J39nB471_p0947a20高懸時如何?」師云:「妍醜難避。」問:「尋牛不見蹤如何?」師J39nB471_p0947a21云:「犢鼻無絭,荒草亂攛。」僧蹬足,云:「者裏見。」師云:「頭身J39nB471_p0947a22已過,尾難出圈。」問:「十方法鼓一齊響時如何?」師云:「饒J39nB471_p0947a23汝耳聽,不行無分。」進云:「大地法幢一齊豎時如何?」師J39nB471_p0947a24云:「出廣長舌,渠無交涉。」進云:「向後事如何?」師云:「前門J39nB471_p0947a25垂簾,後戶要閂,忘卻六塵,跳出三關。」乃云:「三關跳出J39nB471_p0947a26越三界,玉液瓊英誰不愛?不貪名利不求榮,兇神惡J39nB471_p0947a27煞無何奈。正直無私上帝欽,公平有德龍天蓋。所以J39nB471_p0947a28為人在於世中多諸方便,恤老憐貧,培德培仁,尋常J39nB471_p0947a29自心若不欺,皇天佛祖豈能昧?且道:如何是自心不J39nB471_p0947a30欺句?未曾動念先知處,纔舉貪圖迷卻心。啐!慧燈剔J39nB471_p0947b01起返觀照,還是自家人弄自家人。」拽拄杖,下座。
J39nB471_p0947b02上堂。問:「如何是第一義?」師良久,云:「會麼?」進云:「開門見J39nB471_p0947b03山。」師云:「已落第二義。」問:「前朝說不盡英雄,如何還怕J39nB471_p0947b04閻老?」師云:「天下人欺心不得。」進云:「和尚還怕麼?」師舉J39nB471_p0947b05杖,云:「手把虛空,杖挑日月,佛來魔來,攔頭便擇。」乃云:J39nB471_p0947b06「若問老僧第一義,起心動念落三四,良久之時不契J39nB471_p0947b07機,杖頭舉起鋒鋩利。英雄難越閻君手,造化合符超J39nB471_p0947b08祖位,普天人若不欺心,那怕無常瞠眼覷?秋月寒潭J39nB471_p0947b09湛獨明,虛空把定無來去。眾禪衲,莫疑戾,珍重頻頻J39nB471_p0947b10直路行,踏翻漆桶明心地。心地明,休輕造,切須認性J39nB471_p0947b11逞高傲,悟了還同未悟時,機開漏泄兜人笑。只待韋J39nB471_p0947b12馱推送出,大闡化風纔算妙,忽然平地一聲雷,門庭J39nB471_p0947b13高設任來跳。」舉:「善財參五十三員善知識,末後到彌J39nB471_p0947b14勒閣前,見樓閣門閉,瞻仰讚歎。見彌勒從別處來,善J39nB471_p0947b15財作禮曰:『願樓閣門開,令我得入。』尋時彌勒至善財J39nB471_p0947b16前,彈指一聲,樓閣門開,善財得入,閣門即閉。見百千J39nB471_p0947b17萬億樓閣,一一樓閣內有一彌勒,領諸眷屬并一善J39nB471_p0947b18財而立其前。善財因無著菩薩問曰:『我欲見文殊,何J39nB471_p0947b19者即是?』財曰:『汝發一念心清淨即見。』無著曰:『我發一J39nB471_p0947b20念心清淨,為甚不見?』財曰:『是真見文殊。』爾等各不設J39nB471_p0947b21心清淨而來,朝參暮請,問語答話,有甚交涉?難怪大J39nB471_p0947b22眾沒交涉。善財況求門得入,無著請問見文殊,更沒J39nB471_p0947b23交涉,待山僧拈頌過。」拈云:「家中無飯喫,做箇賣米漢。J39nB471_p0947b24頌曰:不因彈指無門入,無著憨獃被爾屈。謾道文殊J39nB471_p0947b25清淨中,花房酒肆有真佛。且問大眾:如何是真佛?」良J39nB471_p0947b26久,云:「發一心清淨是。咦!堂中三圈轉,仍從大門出。」
J39nB471_p0947b27上堂。云:「拄杖橫擔千日月,缽盂包納百須彌,非是山J39nB471_p0947b28僧擅輕舉,今朝只得露全機。者裏有知機者麼?」問:「三J39nB471_p0947b29十年前為上客,直至如今搬柴運水,此是學人知機J39nB471_p0947b30麼?」師云:「未在。」進云:「如何是?」師云:「朝坐屎坑,暮臥糞堆,J39nB471_p0947c01臭裏變香,暗發光輝。」僧禮,師云:「好似冷灰爆荳始得。」J39nB471_p0947c02問:「離火宅、登寶王座時如何?」師云:「月到十五圓。」進云:J39nB471_p0947c03「圓時如何?」師云:「蓮花出水香。」問:「世尊睹星成道,和尚J39nB471_p0947c04參禪明心,是同?是別?」師云:「分明一首曲,調出兩樣聲。」J39nB471_p0947c05問:「法施無窮,今朝無盡,如何是有盡?」師云:「掬水玄明J39nB471_p0947c06已在手。」進云:「如何無盡?」師云:「撒開手去映千江。」僧禮,J39nB471_p0947c07云:「真乃佛法不可思量。」師云:「山到絕巔雲更遠,水歸J39nB471_p0947c08源底魚猶深。」問:「何為大雄、大力、大慈悲?」師舉起拄杖,J39nB471_p0947c09云:「山僧者莖拄杖,能殺、能活,能縱、能奪。」進云:「何處見J39nB471_p0947c10虛實?」師打,云:「口裏說來恐虛,棒頭落處的實。」進云:「性J39nB471_p0947c11命喪於棒下。」師復打,云:「前棒打死,後棒打活,祖令如J39nB471_p0947c12是,任伊卜度。」乃云:「為人切切要知機,知機終久得便J39nB471_p0947c13易,財堆北斗誰將去?作佛齋僧永不虛。所以,鳳臺樊J39nB471_p0947c14居士建剎供僧,效古引今,同霑聖恩。霑恩且置,如何J39nB471_p0947c15是古今同興之句?祗陀太子捨祗園,長者布金作福J39nB471_p0947c16田,百萬人天為大善,今朝檀信事同然,眾僧居住無J39nB471_p0947c17能報,早晚拈香爇佛前。」以拄杖一卓,下座。
J39nB471_p0947c18上堂。云:「承虛接響事,今古在投機,莫道尋常是,尋常J39nB471_p0947c19落依稀。所以,此事不越尋常、不著尋常,且道在甚麼J39nB471_p0947c20處?」杖一卓,云:「萬里長空一色,千門萬戶何差?盡性養J39nB471_p0947c21性見性,三教原來一家。百草頭邊雖祖意,吩付禪人J39nB471_p0947c22眼莫花,覺得自心原是佛,休將好肉剜瘡疤。」舉:「江西J39nB471_p0947c23道一禪師因一夕西堂、百丈、南泉隨侍玩月次,師問:J39nB471_p0947c24『正恁麼時如何?』堂曰:『正好供養。』丈曰:『正好修行。』泉拂J39nB471_p0947c25袖便行,師曰:『經入藏,禪歸海,惟有普願獨超物外。』所J39nB471_p0947c26以,宗門人坐臥之間如奪虎穴相似,恒存利害,莫作J39nB471_p0947c27尋常,懸空起雲,平地汎波,幸得各具抽身法,不然禍J39nB471_p0947c28入蕭墻,甘受其苦。雖然如是,也是角鷹啄鴨,只見滿J39nB471_p0947c29河亂浡,全無半箇落底。那時,山僧在旁先將老漢攔J39nB471_p0947c30腮便摑,仍將三人驗過始得。呵呵!謾道鬍鬚赤,更有J39nB471_p0948a01赤鬚鬍,勤堂生瑞草,好事不如無。」下座。
J39nB471_p0948a02四月八日,上堂。拈香竟,云:「年年四月八,歲歲佛生辰,J39nB471_p0948a03漸次有三學,直指無二門。祖師法令嚴,鐵面不容情,J39nB471_p0948a04問話求開示,血棒如山崩,只許超物外,當下絕見聞。J39nB471_p0948a05果有者等人麼?」僧禮,求開示。師打,云:「先打後商量。」進J39nB471_p0948a06云:「商量箇甚麼?」師云:「雞寒上樹,鴨寒下水。」進云:「不寒J39nB471_p0948a07不熱如何?」師云:「滄州獅子,廣府鐵牛,一夜相打,渾身J39nB471_p0948a08汗流。」問:「一微塵裏可轉法輪麼?」師云:「頑石尚點頭,牛J39nB471_p0948a09耳豈得聞?」進云:「弟子可得聞乎?」師云:「棒下如雷,不肯J39nB471_p0948a10徹皮。」士禮,復問:「如何是古佛?」師云:「土墻厚。」進云:「如何J39nB471_p0948a11是西來意?」師云:「石壁薄。」進云:「如何是西來意?」師云:「香J39nB471_p0948a12圓果。」進云:「如何是西來意?」師云:「臭米團。」問:「聖凡情盡J39nB471_p0948a13如何?」師云:「休造次。」進云:「驀地好風光。」師云:「情未盡。」進J39nB471_p0948a14云:「必竟如何?」師云:「好與三十。」問:「滾入葛藤裏如何斬J39nB471_p0948a15斷?」師與一棒,云:「斷。」進云:「離了拄杖又作麼生?」師云:「薦J39nB471_p0948a16得杖下事,又向汝道。」問:「禪非參,道非學,不思善惡,正J39nB471_p0948a17恁麼時如何?」師云:「無風不起浪。」進云:「日常見聞,夜夢J39nB471_p0948a18知覺時如何?」師舉杖,云:「夢見者箇麼?」進云:「月落樹無J39nB471_p0948a19影,風清雲滿池。」師云:「可惜光陰虛錯過,何須墮在尋J39nB471_p0948a20常坑?」問:「殿門內外堆積千層如何?」師云:「者箇鐵饅通J39nB471_p0948a21看不通喫。」進云:「學人下口。」師打,云:「利牙尖嘴,在處捏J39nB471_p0948a22宄。」問:「杲日當空時如何?」師云:「只恐未登極頂處,越過J39nB471_p0948a23桑榆賀太平。」乃云:「堤高藏綠柳,籬厚隱黃梅,莫道春J39nB471_p0948a24無令,常聞子規啼。學道者無修無證,進戒者有受有J39nB471_p0948a25持。」傳衣竟,云:「話說三千閒骨董,歸心那用許多篇?一J39nB471_p0948a26莖拄杖隨方便,半箇蒲團到處圓,上日王瓜無估價,J39nB471_p0948a27近時茄子不成錢。情境熟,理事頑,縱有傾心不再然,J39nB471_p0948a28不如辭轉他方化,一方初到更香甜。」
康熙四年乙巳,住成都重陽觀,傳戒上堂。云:「古今戒J39nB471_p0948a30地杖頭開,一埽煙霞不復來,今朝令在山僧手,者段J39nB471_p0948b01風光恁剪裁。雖然如是,山僧素不慣談人情語,無非J39nB471_p0948b02隨機應酬,一縱一奪、一放一收,為必不是班門弄斧,J39nB471_p0948b03或張或隱、或進或退,難道不是因時制宜,扶起的滿J39nB471_p0948b04面春風,推倒的無端造意?者裏不是無風起浪、平地J39nB471_p0948b05千戈,蓋緣眾僧乞戒堅請上堂,只得與眾分疏明白。」J39nB471_p0948b06舉杖示眾,云:「見麼?若向者裏離見見,戒可得一半。」以J39nB471_p0948b07杖一卓,云:「聞麼?若向者裏離聞聞,準入初地乘。漸登J39nB471_p0948b08階級毘尼法,只得勞吾兩片唇,乞戒一齊誠諦聽,次J39nB471_p0948b09第從頭理葛藤。」依文作法竟,下座。
J39nB471_p0948b10上堂。云:「說法利生,招罪惹愆;殺豬宰羊,成佛有分。山J39nB471_p0948b11僧向後戒中不除人之殺害、不斷人之酒葷,只教呼J39nB471_p0948b12轉白牛、不犯苗稼便好。」舉:「廣額屠兒於捏槃會上放J39nB471_p0948b13下屠刀,立便成佛,自云是賢劫千佛一數,大眾自不J39nB471_p0948b14照顧,回頭是路。雖然如是,刀痕血跡未乾在。呵呵!當J39nB471_p0948b15時不覺醜,過後方知羞,開口無交涉,花殘已過秋。」擲J39nB471_p0948b16下拄杖,云:「丟下屠刀憑自得,堪歎渠兒直下當。」
J39nB471_p0948b17上堂。云:「幾番權便弄鉗錘,指箇畫梅戲乳孩,法雨撒J39nB471_p0948b18開如夏露,道風振轉似春雷。泥牛喚醒歸欄去,石虎J39nB471_p0948b19掉頭入圈來,拄杖橫挑雙日現,重陽院裏法幢開。」一J39nB471_p0948b20卓,云:「會麼?三世諸佛、歷代祖師種種差別知見、諸乘J39nB471_p0948b21法門,一一皆由者拄杖領過了也。本來無說須道,世J39nB471_p0948b22間一切語言文字皆是權語,咳吐掉臂、敲爐打地、吹J39nB471_p0948b23毛折指,無非方便,實際理地不立一塵,有何言說?既J39nB471_p0948b24屈山僧說得一團花簇簇,皆是老夫妙用,與汝諸人J39nB471_p0948b25分中本無交涉。若向諸方舌邊記取得些來,蒸沙豈J39nB471_p0948b26能作飯?畫餅那得充饑?如前用心,全無勾當,只須自J39nB471_p0948b27己屋裏撿點,豈向他方馳求?呵呵!若還不遇仙陀客,J39nB471_p0948b28焉識壺中別有天?」
提臺兩鎮宰官居士九月初一日延師住聖壽寺。殿J39nB471_p0948b30門。「古佛家風,橫行好、直行好;祖師作用,顛拈是、順拈J39nB471_p0948c01是?今朝在山僧分中,無論顛橫逆順,但得到家一步J39nB471_p0948c02為妙。到家且置,如何是入門一句?」一喝,云:「未揮法杖J39nB471_p0948c03乾坤穩,纔舉新符日月圓。」座前,云:「陶公早已去,白衣J39nB471_p0948c04還未來,兩正作中時,黃菊滿盤開,今朝重拈示,明顯J39nB471_p0948c05不用猜。」陞座。拈香,云:「此瓣香生長無憂田地,出現清J39nB471_p0948c06淨國中,拈來奉為J39nB471_p0948c07當今萬歲,滿朝文武諸公、西蜀宰官居士同成般若會J39nB471_p0948c08中,聖壽已成荒草地,誰知今日復興隆?斂衣坐,云:許J39nB471_p0948c09多佳景成冰化,無限秋光重復新,莫是靈山曾有願,J39nB471_p0948c10仍來此處共團圞?」舉起杖,云:「今日釣竿在山僧手裏,J39nB471_p0948c11有上線喫餌者麼?」問答未錄,乃云:「豎千古宗風始從J39nB471_p0948c12今日,作萬世招提出自此時,且道今朝是甚麼時?」一J39nB471_p0948c13卓,示:「莫不是眾居士現宰官身,仍來法門輝弘祖道J39nB471_p0948c14時,故此誠留山僧住聖壽禪林,建功圓滿入院上堂,J39nB471_p0948c15而求受記耶?為求道法耶?」驀頭一棒,云:「若為求受記,J39nB471_p0948c16人人腦後慧眼開,步步腳跟點著地;若為求道法,動J39nB471_p0948c17靜回思返自觀,日逐尋常無不恰。仔細撿點得出,石J39nB471_p0948c18牛與白牛齊吼、木鵝與鳳凰同鳴,老僧白棒齊著力,J39nB471_p0948c19五更鐘響大家聞。」以杖一卓,下座。
J39nB471_p0948c20上堂。云:「今日山僧五十,日腳如雲過隙,看罷今古聖J39nB471_p0948c21凡,均皆同箇消息。」一喝,云:「放之彌六合,卷之藏於密,J39nB471_p0948c22不意眾居士來此祝敬,山僧無別說,只好畫箇元字J39nB471_p0948c23腳。呵呵!只因者箇元字腳,一世憔燎弄惡杓,打破髑J39nB471_p0948c24髏蓋,撞開固橐鑰,搖塵弄象鼻,雨花繽紛落,儒宗乘J39nB471_p0948c25車輦,道士飛仙鶴,三文大光錢,貫串一條索,神通與J39nB471_p0948c26妙用,皆是人做作,法門任千差,不離者箇勺,若問報J39nB471_p0948c27慈恩,拄杖勤操略。」一卓,云:「者是放耶?收耶?若是放,達J39nB471_p0948c28磨隻履轉烏藏;若是收,曹溪香水永長流。今朝識得J39nB471_p0948c29娘生面,三世諸佛把手遊。」拽杖,下座。
J39nB471_p0948c30建法堂,復迎陞座門。云:「初住石牛一片荒,二臨聖壽J39nB471_p0949a01漸成行,希林率眾請歸院,大展紅爐煆十方。」入堂。四J39nB471_p0949a02顧云:「雲堂深廣闊,凡聖盡包裹,捉定無孔錘,敲脫沒J39nB471_p0949a03鑐鎖,剔起不夜燈,踏翻鐵壁垛,打開寶藏庫,風光任J39nB471_p0949a04批叵,忽聽石牛木馬嘶,聲聲只教太停妥。」方丈。一喝J39nB471_p0949a05云:「踞地獅吼,魔逃狐走,十地聞驚,三乘俛首,佛法世J39nB471_p0949a06法,錯在張口,有問祖意,十升一斗。」上座。拈香云:「此瓣J39nB471_p0949a07香,天之育而豈覆?地之產而難藏?信手拈來,奉為J39nB471_p0949a08君王,生民仰賴,地永天長。」次拈香云:「瑞光含萬象,天星J39nB471_p0949a09燦滿朝,普燻華夏客,回首是蓬瑤。」復拈香云:「花開放J39nB471_p0949a10八節,果熟斂三冬,爇向兩儀爐,專為山主烘,滿門增J39nB471_p0949a11福壽,萬遂百諧通。」斂衣坐。問:「帝釋請時如何?」師云:「正J39nB471_p0949a12合符節。」進云:「請後如何?」師云:「千古留名。」問:「和尚因甚J39nB471_p0949a13背佛坐?」師云:「堂主之過。」進云:「自難承當。」師云:「比上不J39nB471_p0949a14足,比下有餘。」進云:「比此且置,如何是承當句?」師云:「拄J39nB471_p0949a15杖正說法,頑石側耳聽。」問:「千花臺上拈花事如何?」師J39nB471_p0949a16云:「至今笑未休。」進云:「盡大地幾箇知音?」師云:「除你盡J39nB471_p0949a17是。」乃云:「若還大地不知音,安得誠心兩耳聽?假若訂J39nB471_p0949a18名叫一聲,管且向前忙答應,此是天真妙覺性,涇渭J39nB471_p0949a19未分亂攪紊。所以山僧去復又來兮,只因化緣未曾J39nB471_p0949a20盡,隱顯莫測兮,古今法原無一定,周旋普遍兮,流通J39nB471_p0949a21佛祖之正印,法螺重吹兮,千百年後存高興。」以杖一J39nB471_p0949a22卓云:「會得山僧一卓,通身徹快無病。」
J39nB471_p0949a23上堂。問:「月映千江時如何?」師云:「何地不春風?」問:「平地J39nB471_p0949a24一聲雷時如何?」師云:「過量於人。」問:「千佛萬佛總是一J39nB471_p0949a25佛,何故又有恒河沙數?」師云:「為爾心多。」問:「人人本具J39nB471_p0949a26佛性,因甚墮在迷悟兩途?」師云:「只為知見放不下。」進J39nB471_p0949a27云:「放下即無。」師云:「墮在迷途。」進云:「拈起即是。」師云:「墮J39nB471_p0949a28在明白。」進云:「迷悟不著。」師云:「且救一半。」問:「了即孽障J39nB471_p0949a29本來空,又落空見時如何?」師云:「知落非空。」問:「凡所有J39nB471_p0949a30相皆是虛妄,為甚集眾陞堂?」師舉杖云:「喚作甚麼?」進J39nB471_p0949b01云:「不會。」師云:「若見諸相非相,即見山僧。」乃云:「佛性本J39nB471_p0949b02自如,迷悟分兩途。明白的不及,癡暗的有餘。同秉天J39nB471_p0949b03性,各出希奇。如管籥音,機分上下。須共一氣,各響不J39nB471_p0949b04同。諸天見雨為瓊漿,脩羅見雨是刀鎗,眾生見雨得J39nB471_p0949b05清涼。牛不見雪,犬不見風,人不見鬼神。迷即妄生,悟J39nB471_p0949b06即見滅。故云:『心生種種生,心滅一切滅。』又云:『生滅滅J39nB471_p0949b07已,寂滅為樂。』所謂不從一法起知見,自有如如古道J39nB471_p0949b08場。法王穩坐空王殿,眉放毫光照十方。」
J39nB471_p0949b09四月八日,上堂。云:「說起今朝四月八,仔細思量則不J39nB471_p0949b10恰,佛之一字原無生,如同名將卸盔甲。只因隨類度J39nB471_p0949b11眾生,惹得雲門要打殺,幸有山僧可具眼,不然一概J39nB471_p0949b12沒傝𠎷。虧渠座上一枝花,恒沙世界盡開發,尋常上J39nB471_p0949b13供不為然,惟有今朝要海納。」拈香竟,斂衣坐,云:「山僧J39nB471_p0949b14弘法已多年,幾度花香秋月圓?老幹放條新復舊,蒼J39nB471_p0949b15松開蕊翠還鮮。真如佛性映江月,幻殼業形度海船,J39nB471_p0949b16缽底須彌藏碧玉,杖頭日月現金蓮。揚眉豎指揮心J39nB471_p0949b17印,折背拈拳續髓傳,曾聽般若精進戒,魚沉鷰落豈J39nB471_p0949b18虛言?洞房肉案老僧律,酒肆屠門衲子禪,惟我箇中J39nB471_p0949b19親薦得,驢胎馬腹大悲船。」舉杖,云:「會麼?山僧者莖拄J39nB471_p0949b20杖有通天徹地威風,七穿八竅玲瓏,動時殺活縱奪,J39nB471_p0949b21靜時莊憨朦朧,喚作鉤銚,拔楔抽釘,喚作鎏鎧,防非J39nB471_p0949b22抵惡。所具通身鋒鋩,不敢輕觸妄犯,觸犯者則喪身J39nB471_p0949b23失命,名之曰戒,願者受之。」傳衣缽竟,下座。
