J39nB471_p0941a02 J39nB471_p0941a03順治十八年辛丑住重慶巴縣虎頭寺結夏。至殿門,J39nB471_p0941a04以拄杖畫一圓相云:「唯有者箇圈子,人人都向者裏J39nB471_p0941a05透過便好。」撩衣進云:「陟山知高低,履水覺淺深,惟有J39nB471_p0941a06此處但識進退始得。」佛前,一喝云:「賊面雄心抹殺人,J39nB471_p0941a07一場大事實非輕,三千界裏齊撩亂,八萬門中弄風J39nB471_p0941a08聲,滿腹文章盡吐洩,遺流三藏教群英,而今張挂太J39nB471_p0941a09平令,不許狐疑錯用心。」院主請上堂,近座云:「天晴日J39nB471_p0941a10朗,地白風清,人和時至,物秀春臨,打開實相尋原主,J39nB471_p0941a11擊碎虛空問覺靈。」陞座,告香云:「此瓣香,龍吟虎嘯,鸞J39nB471_p0941a12舞鳳鳴,根深盤法界,葉大蓋乾坤,拈爇爐中,奉為J39nB471_p0941a13當今萬歲萬萬歲,皇后齊年,太子千秋,伏願千邦進貢J39nB471_p0941a14難稱意,萬國來朝可遂心。」次拈香云:「此瓣香,五葉彌J39nB471_p0941a15繁霑德雨,四時盛茂賴仁風,拈來爇向爐中,奉為各J39nB471_p0941a16籓殿下睿算千秋,文武百官福壽無疆,永作擎天玉J39nB471_p0941a17柱,長為架海金梁。」復拈香云:「此瓣香,光前裕後,分枝J39nB471_p0941a18發葉無邊際,長蕊開花遍界香,此是第二回拈爇爐J39nB471_p0941a19中,供養臨濟正傳第三十一世上敏下樹本師和尚,J39nB471_p0941a20用酬法乳之恩,伏願百萬須彌齊點首,無邊香海玉J39nB471_p0941a21龍朝。」斂衣趺坐,維那白椎竟,師云:「不鼓自響,不鐘自J39nB471_p0941a22鳴,內外高低,遠近齊聞。」以拄杖一卓云:「未聞者聽。」僧J39nB471_p0941a23出作聽勢,師良久云:「聽麼?」進云:「聽。」師云:「拄杖與虛空J39nB471_p0941a24作麼商量?」僧無語,師云:「也是布袋裏老鴉。」問:「靈山一J39nB471_p0941a25脈發來,近有萬脈,請問和尚在那一脈?」師云:「山僧不J39nB471_p0941a26被風雲轉,豈似輕塵妄逐流?」進云:「南嶽讓祖下又分J39nB471_p0941a27成五宗派,和尚在那一派?」師云:「泰山有意傳春旨,明J39nB471_p0941a28月無心映碧潭。」進云:「月未圓時如何?」師云:「上弦不讓J39nB471_p0941a29下弦時。」問:「如何是靜中動?」師云:「舟行水面江心穩。」進J39nB471_p0941a30云:「如何是動中靜?」師云:「山現雲中百鳥啼。」進云:「動靜J39nB471_p0941b01二相了然不生如何?」師云:「保任你得太平。」問:「誰與風J39nB471_p0941b02月為家?」師云:「野牛野馬。」進云:「還許收斂得麼?」師云:「天J39nB471_p0941b03地無拘束。」進云:「亦任脫灑去。」師云:「拘執不少。」問:「離卻J39nB471_p0941b04拄杖,別求方便。」師打,云:「者即方便。」乃云:「掀倒禪床,踢J39nB471_p0941b05翻兀案,皆是宗門弄鬼眼睛;捲起門簾,放下水瓶,亦J39nB471_p0941b06是禪家賣宗風。山僧分裏則不然,何如耶?佛不用念,J39nB471_p0941b07有念非真;禪不用參,有參乖真;道不用學,有學昧真;J39nB471_p0941b08佛不用成,有成悖真。且道又作麼生單用?一味平常,J39nB471_p0941b09饑餐渴飲,不忘根本,冷熱厚薄,皆由誰覺?行住坐臥,J39nB471_p0941b10豈有兩箇?洗碗抹盞,行行落款,搬柴運水,一團道理,J39nB471_p0941b11行堂掃地,隨拈得趣,燃燭燒香,照徹本光,披衣展具,J39nB471_p0941b12威儀抑抑,鞠躬禮佛,妙用何屈?繞壇經行,放出光明,J39nB471_p0941b13上單恬靜,如鋒交陣,卷足睡眠,收斂俱全,覺起下單,J39nB471_p0941b14動靜返觀,出戶舉步,步步相顧,宣揚默示,理事俱備,J39nB471_p0941b15豎指拈拳,殺活縱橫,長歌短笑,多少奧妙?聚會言譚,J39nB471_p0941b16大家團圞,施為一切,出乎自得。試問大眾:得箇甚麼?」J39nB471_p0941b17喝一喝,云:「垂鉤四海,為釣驪龍,格外玄談,蓋尋知己。」J39nB471_p0941b18以拄杖一卓,下座。
J39nB471_p0941b19四月八日,上堂。拈香竟,問:「滿月彎弓時如何?」師云:「緊J39nB471_p0941b20顧性命。」僧作畏勢,師打,云:「畏即不中。」問:「黑白未分時J39nB471_p0941b21如何?」師云:「日腳不定。」進云:「全黑如何?」師云:「貴乎行不J39nB471_p0941b22到。」進云:「全白如何?」師云:「孤負前程。」進云:「如何纔不辜J39nB471_p0941b23負?」師云:「只饒做到彌勒下生,秪好扯箇直過。」問:「釋迦J39nB471_p0941b24降生為一大事因緣,和尚出世為箇甚麼?」師云:「天墜J39nB471_p0941b25挐雲補,山崩撾泥扶。」進云:「還有為處也無?」師云:「有。」進J39nB471_p0941b26云:「請和尚道。」師打,云:「莫效盲龜跛鱉,處處猖狂。」問:「者J39nB471_p0941b27段家風,人人本具,因甚斷臂求道?」師云:「錯會不少。」進J39nB471_p0941b28云:「如何纔不錯?」師云:「因疼發出就中機。」問:「佛本無去J39nB471_p0941b29來,何道今日生?」師云:「日月不離須彌轉,世人虛妄道J39nB471_p0941b30出沒。」問:「離四句,絕百非,向甚麼處指示?」師云:「指即非J39nB471_p0941c01生。」進云:「如何是玄中玄?」師云:「泥牛吼大千。」進云:「如何J39nB471_p0941c02是妙裏妙?」師云:「石虎追風嘯。」乃云:「今朝四月八,黃金J39nB471_p0941c03出玉匣,優缽羅花開,星宮週遍匝,天鼓六搖振,蓮盆J39nB471_p0941c04龍現甲,十九入雪山,六載得機括,七七教人天,結積J39nB471_p0941c05三藏法,直至如今一點用不著。幸有達磨安心恰,近J39nB471_p0941c06來香水滿江流,脅下三拳舊病發,兒孫遍地做良醫,J39nB471_p0941c07砒霜調酒狠毒壓,只教人人斷命根,著耳耳聾點眼J39nB471_p0941c08瞎,但從幾箇草頭方,都向人間療臂瘩。看起來,沒傝J39nB471_p0941c09𠎷,兒孫自有兒孫福,何如區區受煎▆?所以,山僧只J39nB471_p0941c10教諸仁者自休自歇始得,不在窮覽三教、貫習古今,J39nB471_p0941c11向一言之下潔白自在、悟徹明白,自然一塵不立、萬J39nB471_p0941c12境皆空,頭頭體露、處處明了,說甚麼古往今來,盡在J39nB471_p0941c13一毫頭上得箇大解脫、大自在去也。試問大眾:如何J39nB471_p0941c14得大自在去也?隻履歸西去,更不復徘徊,萬緣隨我J39nB471_p0941c15了,一任百花開。」擲下拄杖,云:「放下千斤擔,隨心處處J39nB471_p0941c16獃。」下座。
J39nB471_p0941c17上堂。云:「法席孤高來客少,花筵直下去人多,寒山平J39nB471_p0941c18日呵呵笑,看來箇中有幾何?此有英豪者麼?」問:「年年J39nB471_p0941c19三十,月月十五,正恁麼時作甚麼日腳?」師云:「臨機不J39nB471_p0941c20問時多少?但觀江心月缺圓。」問:「鴉能返哺,羊有跪乳,J39nB471_p0941c21人將何酬?」師云:「腳跟下薦取。」進云:「離了腳跟,又向何J39nB471_p0941c22處薦?」師云:「不離日用,莫隨日用,離與不離,隨事逼迸。」J39nB471_p0941c23問:「如何是曹山境?」師云:「未巖麵山,茶池酒井。」進云:「如J39nB471_p0941c24何是境中人?」師云:「鼻直口橫,眉長眼圓。」問:「如何是父J39nB471_p0941c25母未生前一著道理?」豎杖云:「明歷歷。」進云:「已生後如J39nB471_p0941c26何?」師云:「黑漆漆。」問:「如何是佛?」師舉杖云:「看。」進云:「如何J39nB471_p0941c27是法?」師以杖一卓云:「聽。」進云:「如何是僧?」師云:「覷。」僧作J39nB471_p0941c28禮。師云:「莫隨聲色,自獲清徹。」問:「朦朧漢子得大意也J39nB471_p0941c29麼?」師云:「小人智過君子。」進云:「君子小人,是一是二?」師J39nB471_p0941c30云:「凡聖無二,智愚有殊。」問:「明月照東時如何?」師云:「家J39nB471_p0942a01家開窗戶。」進云:「明月照西時如何?」師云:「處處掩柴扉。」J39nB471_p0942a02進云:「明月當空又作麼生?」師云:「術士壺籃別有天。」問:J39nB471_p0942a03「二十年前為甚麼降魔?」師云:「掄戈掃盡無明賊,揮劍J39nB471_p0942a04招回負心臣。」進云:「二十年後為甚不降魔?」師云:「時平J39nB471_p0942a05不慮蕭墻事,世泰何須再起謀?」問:「王道化世間,祖道J39nB471_p0942a06化出世,如何還有三塗地獄?」師云:「盲人不畏坑塹,聾J39nB471_p0942a07子豈聽梵音?」進云:「天堂地獄實有無?」師云:「瞞自心不J39nB471_p0942a08得。」問:「如何是太平境界?」師云:「海晏河清。」進云:「如何是J39nB471_p0942a09人中主?」師云:「智高天下,德重十方。」進云:「如何是禪中J39nB471_p0942a10主?」師云:「一字不通,文錢不值。」問:「如何是明心見性?」師J39nB471_p0942a11云:「不識。」乃云:「見性超三界,彈指越河沙,無非要本分J39nB471_p0942a12中見得清徹,了得潔白,纔不受瞞。此事無論貴賤、賢J39nB471_p0942a13愚、上中下,一切品類均同者點妙用。蓋因世人不肯J39nB471_p0942a14勇猛精進,隨影逐物,聲色流轉,因此有貴賤、賢愚、上J39nB471_p0942a15中下等等差別名相,所以吾佛教中一雨普潤,各得J39nB471_p0942a16增長。即如今日,一言之下各得恰合,直下承當。如何J39nB471_p0942a17是承當一句?任從滄海變,我獨自悠然。」下座。
J39nB471_p0942a18上堂。云:「大韝爐開,單煆眉上生輝漢子;棒喝交馳,獨J39nB471_p0942a19打脊下有血丈夫。」舉棒從虛一揮,云:「者一棒,打碎虛J39nB471_p0942a20空甚麼狀?」一喝,云:「者一喝,喝倒須彌世界闊。是我者J39nB471_p0942a21家人,喫者家飯,說者家話,此中有麼?」問:「曾不學道參J39nB471_p0942a22禪,拾把金剛王寶劍截斷天下老和尚舌頭,今日和J39nB471_p0942a23尚將何抵敵?」師搖手作退勢,云:「君子避酒客。」進云:「和J39nB471_p0942a24尚還有恐怖?」師云:「切莫詐名頭。」僧將具一拂而退。師J39nB471_p0942a25云:「果是一箇漂浮漢。」問:「獅子出林時如何?」師云:「野獸J39nB471_p0942a26潛形,石人不驚。」進云:「未出林時如何?」師云:「獨抱一天J39nB471_p0942a27春。」問:「請求直指西來意。」師云:「當時告寂去,遺履竊天J39nB471_p0942a28臺。」進云:「二祖安心事如何?」師打云:「安心竟。」問:「如何是J39nB471_p0942a29三寶?」師云:「你是箇甚麼?」僧無語。師云:「伎倆有盡。」問:「如J39nB471_p0942a30何是鬼神覷不破之機?」師豎拳,云:「且道山僧掌心是J39nB471_p0942b01箇甚麼字?」進云:「不識。」師云:「為長老家,元字腳不識,豈J39nB471_p0942b02況鬼神乎?」乃云:「唯有者箇元字腳,天人難摸𢱢,是我J39nB471_p0942b03蒲團高上客,岡然把著半頭角。」舉:「天親菩薩從彌勒J39nB471_p0942b04內院而下,無著菩薩問曰:『人間四百年,彼天為一晝J39nB471_p0942b05夜,彌勒於一時中成就五百億天子,證無生法忍,未J39nB471_p0942b06審說甚麼法?』天親曰:『祗說者箇法,祗是梵音清雅,令J39nB471_p0942b07人樂聞。』所以云:三界為心,十方共說,無非者箇。且道J39nB471_p0942b08者箇是甚麼?吩咐禪那休說破,說出破錢不值文。」
J39nB471_p0942b09上堂。「龍躍山前豎法幢,無邊世界得清涼,一莖白棒J39nB471_p0942b10撥凡聖,幾箇男兒上戰場。」僧出班欲作禮,師便打云:J39nB471_p0942b11「是凡是聖?」進云:「是僧。」師云:「過也。早知是僧,吾當禮。」僧J39nB471_p0942b12禮。師云:「病中膏肓難療,既受湯丸易治。」問:「者場大事J39nB471_p0942b13何了?」師云:「月到天心白,人逢三十忙。」問:「如何是獅王J39nB471_p0942b14吼處?」師云:「驚震五湖,頑皮不聞。」進云:「學人聞否?」師云:J39nB471_p0942b15「土木偶人,不睹不聞。」問:「如何是選佛場?」師云:「法幢處J39nB471_p0942b16處張,獨不選兒郎。」進云:「因甚不選某甲?」師云:「為爾自J39nB471_p0942b17不作佛。」問:「雲從龍,風從虎。仰山拄杖從雷雨,和尚從J39nB471_p0942b18箇甚麼?」師云:「拂子一揮山海動,太行難比勝崑崙。」問:J39nB471_p0942b19「清淨比丘不上天堂,造孽眾生不下地獄時是如何?」J39nB471_p0942b20師云:「二俱不著。」乃云:「不著空空與不空,三世如來一J39nB471_p0942b21樣同。如站千峰頂上,似行萬仞崖中。四邊荊棘八方J39nB471_p0942b22火,一踏煙霞定化龍。」以拄杖一卓,下座。
J39nB471_p0942b23上堂。「拄杖𨁝跳,正令施行,擬心即錯,開口乖真,此中J39nB471_p0942b24誰來當機?」僧近禮竟,疾歸本位,師舉起拄杖云:「獨妨J39nB471_p0942b25山僧者一著。」問:「火燒初禪,有何憑據?」師云:「但看祝公J39nB471_p0942b26爐,煙塵未消歇。」進云:「水渰二禪和尚向甚麼處安身J39nB471_p0942b27立命?」師云:「他方任變,我國晏然。」進云:「風捲三禪如何?」J39nB471_p0942b28師打云:「打脫三界,劫盡無礙。」進云:「何法能脫?」師復打J39nB471_p0942b29云:「者裏摸索。頌曰:懶融問罷三禪盡,解脫句中見血J39nB471_p0942b30淋,滿面春風不失色,將來一日可為人。」問:「不經行,不J39nB471_p0942c01打坐,向何處悟?」師喝云:「汝因甚迷?」進云:「不用只一喝。」J39nB471_p0942c02師云:「獅兒未瞠眼,瞠眼識好惡。聽頌:三十年前求悟J39nB471_p0942c03不得,三十年後求迷不得,勿論瞠眼合目,祗要皮下J39nB471_p0942c04有血。」問:「青山雲疊疊時如何?」師云:「夢眼未曾開。」進云:J39nB471_p0942c05「開後如何?」師云:「還我雲山來。」進云:「向甚麼處見?」師云:J39nB471_p0942c06「日出天明,雨落地暗。」問:「如何是笑呵呵?」師云:「得意忘J39nB471_p0942c07憂。」進云:「如何是哭啼啼?」師云:「逐境迷心。」進云:「上古云:J39nB471_p0942c08『眾生度盡。』因甚度不盡?」師云:「夜靜水寒魚不餌,金鉤J39nB471_p0942c09空放在湖灘。」問:「鐵牛入草場,不見蹤和跡。」師云:「害物J39nB471_p0942c10傷苗。」進云:「何處見得?」師打云:「著眼。頌曰:犯人苗稼幾J39nB471_p0942c11番,問他只是不認。一棒打折驢腰,從今向後謹慎。」問:J39nB471_p0942c12「臨濟有三玄三要,如何是第一玄?」師云:「凡夫抱佛眠。」J39nB471_p0942c13進云:「如何是第二玄?」師云:「龜毛索上打鞦韆。」進云:「如J39nB471_p0942c14何是第三玄?」師云:「廟門石虎飛上天。」進云:「如何是第J39nB471_p0942c15一要?」師一卓云:「拄杖先蹼跳。」進云:「如何是第二要?」師J39nB471_p0942c16云:「鵲噪有客到。」進云:「如何是第三要?」師云:「金獅謾言J39nB471_p0942c17豹。偈云:三玄並三要,點額魚未到。而今龍門高,也要J39nB471_p0942c18儘一跳。」問:「弟子意性不明,望師垂示。」師乃云:「意性不J39nB471_p0942c19明逐問誰?疑情之上更加疑。忽然打破疑團子,本無J39nB471_p0942c20少欠不多餘。」舉:「百丈謂眾曰:『佛法不是小事,老僧昔J39nB471_p0942c21日被馬祖一喝,直得三日耳聾。』黃檗聞舉,不覺吐舌。J39nB471_p0942c22試問大眾:此事是難?是易?切莫作難,亦莫為易。百丈J39nB471_p0942c23不箇披虎皮嚇人,黃檗只得假裝怕勢,都是打鬼就J39nB471_p0942c24鬼,切莫作耳聾吐舌會。」問:「作甚麼會?」師云:「山僧害耳J39nB471_p0942c25聵。」僧張牙舞爪作虎勢,師亦吐舌作怕怖。「呵呵!分明J39nB471_p0942c26是無帽討帽戴,惹火自燒身。」啐一聲,下座。
J39nB471_p0942c27上堂。問:「鐵牛未現形如何?」師云:「頑皮太厚。」進云:「現形J39nB471_p0942c28如何?」師云:「賤骨空高。」問:「昱霍母難,如何報答?」師云:「只J39nB471_p0942c29須死法。」進云:「何得如是?」師云:「恣縱恩情活地獄,剿除J39nB471_p0942c30孽障死天堂。」問:「十方婆伽梵,一路涅槃門,和尚以那J39nB471_p0943a01一門接引後學?」師云:「棒喝兩途,權實雙舉,逆之順之,J39nB471_p0943a02凡聖皆取。」問:「龐公云:『十方雲來集,箇箇學無為,此是J39nB471_p0943a03選佛場,心空及第歸。』是否?」師云:「是。」進云:「眼裏不夾沙。」J39nB471_p0943a04師云:「眼裏納泰山。」進云:「道是不空。」師云:「道本不空。」進J39nB471_p0943a05云:「空的是?不空的是?」師云:「總不是。」問:「舉足動步,四面J39nB471_p0943a06風響,是甚麼意?」師云:「只因鞋短腳板長。」問:「學人今日J39nB471_p0943a07生,如何是父母未生前面目?」師舉杖,云:「覷。」進云:「破家J39nB471_p0943a08蕩產,無一報恩。」師良久,云:「恩報竟。」問:「佛開八萬四千J39nB471_p0943a09門,和尚將那一條門路接人?」師豎杖,云:「除此一事實,J39nB471_p0943a10餘二則非真。」進云:「如今已度多少?」師云:「莫妄下註腳。」J39nB471_p0943a11問:「昨日今朝即不問,虎雄院中事如何?」師云:「日浩浩,J39nB471_p0943a12月浩浩。」進云:「如何是和尚家風?」師云:「一寒如冰,一熱J39nB471_p0943a13如火。」乃舉杖示眾,云:「唯有者箇家風,本無年月,也無J39nB471_p0943a14時節,祖令施行,逢人便接。今朝昱霍母初度,只見滿J39nB471_p0943a15庭生瑞雪,多拜南辰與北斗,長生簿裏更添劫。」
J39nB471_p0943a16上堂。云:「天色未晚,瞌睡鮮來,白日夢話,屈殺癡獃。者J39nB471_p0943a17裏有夢眼開者麼?」問:「無夢無想,主人公在甚麼處?」師J39nB471_p0943a18云:「翻身枕子墮,滿床現珠珍。」問:「世尊從三大阿僧祇J39nB471_p0943a19劫捨頭目髓腦、國城妻子,方得成佛作祖。和尚曾捨J39nB471_p0943a20箇甚麼來?」師云:「山僧從無量劫不捨一絲一毫、不欠J39nB471_p0943a21一絲一毫。」進云:「慳吝不少。」師云:「負債者且多。」問:「和尚J39nB471_p0943a22莫不是佛也?」師叱云:「者長老覿面訕謗山僧。」進云:「可J39nB471_p0943a23通懺悔麼?」師云:「返觀自性若虛空,剎那能滅阿鼻孽。」J39nB471_p0943a24乃豎拂,云:「者箇道理,夢也夢他不著,想也想他不來,J39nB471_p0943a25百劫捨頭捨目,千生惹禍惹災,不欠不捨本不修,聖J39nB471_p0943a26耶凡耶豈兩胎?呵呵!顯則無名可表,隱則狐疑妄猜。J39nB471_p0943a27者裏分箇甚麼?佛耶?祖耶?凡耶?聖耶?一味平常為至J39nB471_p0943a28道,兩輪日月照中心。」以拄杖一卓,下座。
