J39nB471_p0993c05學道應當先利人,隱山不普獨聲聞,一莖拄杖遍天J39nB471_p0993c06下,撥草尋牛幾度春。所以山僧住芙蓉年來行腳者,J39nB471_p0993c07蓋緣佛祖之重任、法道之風化也。所言佛祖重任者,J39nB471_p0993c08不比尋常小可:一、看來原淺深;二、窺德行厚薄;三、觀J39nB471_p0993c09品格英俊;四、視丰姿雅暢;五、含機量寬洪;六、藏智識J39nB471_p0993c10純粹;七、有形儀端正;八、養氣局溫平;九、得見地乾淨;J39nB471_p0993c11十、為道風傾承。有此高名十德,不啻老僧悅之,十方J39nB471_p0993c12諸佛曾贊:善哉!正法易得,正見少有。何也?或有假粧J39nB471_p0993c13世態,執文解義,守空頑定,術數推窮,吞精納氣,採補J39nB471_p0993c14服餌,煉神通報,限時用工,出神奪舍,多種差別,邪見J39nB471_p0993c15狂妄之徒顯異惑眾,俗子無知,不分真偽,助他威勢,J39nB471_p0993c16反來紊亂宗風,破謗正法眼藏,所以法門敗缺,皆此J39nB471_p0993c17輩也。似我居士,根深枝大,八風不能搖動;見識清高,J39nB471_p0993c18五濁不能攪雜。真當來法器具分,高明廣見,焉入邪J39nB471_p0993c19妄群隊?古云:聖居聖路,凡入凡流。如居士先言做工J39nB471_p0993c20夫,豎起脊梁,正坐恬靜間,忽然炮響一聲,不覺通身J39nB471_p0993c21汗流,自覺放下千斤重擔,欲報佛祖之恩,而來承續J39nB471_p0993c22宗門法嗣,真乃吾宗門之幸甚也。日前為汝母昇天,J39nB471_p0993c23請至柩前說法,見渠形儀超格不群,故此徒肯師、師J39nB471_p0993c24肯徒,水乳相投,機言契合,足見當面不錯過也。所喜J39nB471_p0993c25有二:一、忠勤於國,不著聖解;二、孝親師,不拘凡情。真J39nB471_p0993c26人中龍象,不忘靈山授記,覺悟歸真,徵驗本分,徹底J39nB471_p0993c27澄清,所以老僧不吝囊藏,和盤托出。且道托出個甚J39nB471_p0993c28麼?咄!靈山一笑安心事,拄杖依伊為表讖,將來護法J39nB471_p0993c29讓阿誰?亙古聯芳作鑒證。
示印真牛居士
J39nB471_p0994a01師云:「處處現成誰印真?不勞平地起堆岑,而今四海J39nB471_p0994a02清恬靜,放下征袍聽梵音。」以拄杖一卓,云:「聞麼?」舉拂,J39nB471_p0994a03云:「見麼?若以眼見非真見,若將耳聞非實聞,又作麼J39nB471_p0994a04生?必須離見返觀、離聽返聞,一念清淨、聲色俱空,是J39nB471_p0994a05名真見、真聞也。譬如居士昔在戎馬場,二家交鋒大J39nB471_p0994a06戰之時,鼓角喧天、旌旗蔽日,何處見聞?只向一輪鋒J39nB471_p0994a07尖上著力,是名真見;忽然他兵敗退,追進三鼕,是名J39nB471_p0994a08真聞。勒馬回頭,豈不一場空歡喜也?若得做工夫,提J39nB471_p0994a09起本參話頭,疑情發動之時,視之不覺見即真見、聽J39nB471_p0994a10之不覺聞即真聞,正向不思議處看定,忽然魔兵拶J39nB471_p0994a11退,更加精進,自然有個輕安時節,一日三、三日九,久J39nB471_p0994a12久打成一片,行也如是、坐也如是,穿衣喫飯亦復如J39nB471_p0994a13是。若到者裏,一見即真、一聞即了,不勞設心安頓,自J39nB471_p0994a14是處處現成。」從空畫一圓相,問居士云:「向者裏會麼?」J39nB471_p0994a15士云:「弟子不會。」師云:「難怪居士不會。為此者個元字J39nB471_p0994a16腳,三世諸佛橫說豎說,說他不著;歷代祖師逆行順J39nB471_p0994a17行,行他不到。山僧到者裏,只得拈出。」喝一喝,「參。」
示大為楊居士
J39nB471_p0994a19師云:「弓刀未放兩頭騎,足見能人有大為,朔望殷勤J39nB471_p0994a20禮聖壽,誠心刻刻未曾移。惟吾儕法門正要如是,念J39nB471_p0994a21念不捨,刻刻難忘,纔是真心。學道之士譬如長江大J39nB471_p0994a22小水,豈肯停流?直到海門天際無他棲泊,方纔任縱J39nB471_p0994a23優游。向道之心亦復如是,直至到豁然通達,理事無J39nB471_p0994a24礙,吹彈歌舞皆是神通,語默喧笑都成三昧。即如居J39nB471_p0994a25士昔從征戰,勇力向前,得勝歸回,放意快心,未定勝J39nB471_p0994a26負,堅築籬墻,日夜運籌設策,以圖樹立功名,始不用J39nB471_p0994a27一番真實肝膽,那得功成名遂哉?超生脫死之道非J39nB471_p0994a28是容易,因因循循,何時是了?散散淡淡,難得的當。必J39nB471_p0994a29要此等綿遠信心,今日如是,明日如是,千日萬日亦J39nB471_p0994a30復如是。趙州示眾云:『四十年不雜用心,除粥飯二時J39nB471_p0994b01是雜用心處。』又有云:『迎賓待客,豈有差別?喫飯穿衣,J39nB471_p0994b02誰是誰非?』如何道粥飯二時是雜用心處?古聖未嘗J39nB471_p0994b03道不是,惟恐後學錯用心。且道如何是用心不錯處?J39nB471_p0994b04咦!有心學道道猶遠,無事於心心即真,但得六時不J39nB471_p0994b05被轉,南花北卉盡同春。」
示波南居士
J39nB471_p0994b07師云:「輥入火宅三界,惹下通身不快,三毒火恒烹蒸,J39nB471_p0994b08六類冤家催債。若還不了目前,屢劫連環兜怪,一聞J39nB471_p0994b09信受奉行,漸次業緣消邁。夫人生於世,輪迴何息?脫J39nB471_p0994b10殼換骨,沒個了期。若不設念,回光返照,認取自心,逐J39nB471_p0994b11影隨情,終成苦海。大限臨頭,悔之莫及。」舉拂,云:「惟有J39nB471_p0994b12者個不今不古、不斷不常,放之彌布三千,歸來一毫J39nB471_p0994b13頭上。識得的,顛橫逆順而為妙旨;不會的,咳吐掉臂J39nB471_p0994b14以當戲詞。故此山僧化行於三界火宅,逆順顛倒、橫J39nB471_p0994b15提豎拈,總成一個糊塗題,今朝不知誰是具眼人物。J39nB471_p0994b16咦!拆籬的況且易,扶槎的猶甚,雖不得一冰骨,滿眼J39nB471_p0994b17都受瞞。吾示汝偈,不辜誠意。偈曰:明明日月誰催忙?J39nB471_p0994b18恍恍程途無暫息,萬法盡從一念中,滿盤托出無人J39nB471_p0994b19識。」
示離非盧居士
J39nB471_p0994b21浮世不空,業緣無嗣。仔細看來,有無相桎。知見妄動,J39nB471_p0994b22世界全備。人我是非,貪嗔癡恚。才長英雄,名增勢位。J39nB471_p0994b23日歌高堂,夜遊淫肆。以苦為樂,認狂作彗。椒薑醋蒜,J39nB471_p0994b24雷同一廁。不辨好惡,難明真偽。顛沛逆亂,遞相殘弒。J39nB471_p0994b25迷卻眼前,豈顧後墜。冤家就頭,難可迴避。那個時間,J39nB471_p0994b26滿目慚愧。只想瞞人,誰知害自。此等眾生,睜眼鬼魅。J39nB471_p0994b27不求出身,不希佛庇。長劫輪轉,終日迷醉。百歲光陰,J39nB471_p0994b28如一局戲。名若空花,財同垢膩。曾聞龐公,何等清翠。J39nB471_p0994b29船載金銀,湘江傾棄。有男不婚,有女不贅。同入深山,J39nB471_p0994b30俱證祖位。聲名天下,誰敢輕叱。真是人間大丈夫,法J39nB471_p0994c01門千古為禪瑞。頌曰:昔日今朝理事同,何山化雪不J39nB471_p0994c02流東。尋常只要自心肯,一法如如萬法通。
示智海孟居士
J39nB471_p0994c04「般若多羅吩咐徒,須歸大夏立規模,金陵一遇梁天J39nB471_p0994c05子,渡江只用一枝蘆。通國人追覓不見,九年熊耳絕J39nB471_p0994c06煙廚,神光求得安心法,隻履歸西一字無。所以,單傳J39nB471_p0994c07直指,見性明心,不立文字,名為教外別傳。試問大眾:J39nB471_p0994c08且道傳個甚麼?」師豎拳,云:「會麼?若向者裏會得,話頭J39nB471_p0994c09不用參,一了百事端。從此不會,老僧為眾下個註腳:J39nB471_p0994c10歷代祖師無別傳,一言之下識根原,機關撥轉返觀J39nB471_p0994c11照,者段光明晝夜燔。只教以心印心,山僧連心的一J39nB471_p0994c12字用他不著,只教離心意識參、絕凡聖路學,向那不J39nB471_p0994c13是心、不是佛、不是物處起疑,二六時中畢竟是個甚J39nB471_p0994c14麼道理?疑去疑來,忽然胸中如雲開見日。呵呵!原來J39nB471_p0994c15是者個道理,如人飲水,冷煖自知,方信歷代祖師無J39nB471_p0994c16說無傳,只教自參自悟始得。」
示眾善信
J39nB471_p0994c18師云:「現前事,不肯為,閻君豈肯容片時?獨有吾儕門J39nB471_p0994c19下客,祖家風味料知規。分明一段真消息,總為世人J39nB471_p0994c20名利羇,直到臨終沒下落,忙抱佛腳何足奇?妻不替,J39nB471_p0994c21子不隨,一身業障自家受,等得醒時已覺遲,若還閻J39nB471_p0994c22王留得命,剃頭削髮把心回。男為僧,女為尼,各行一J39nB471_p0994c23路訪明師,早知死有者番苦,甚似小牛剝了皮。禪可J39nB471_p0994c24參,戒可持,萬緣放下悟生死,一心定要證菩提。」
普說
J39nB471_p0994c26堂眾爭講做工夫。撾鼓,和尚落堂云:「老僧正好安心J39nB471_p0994c27恬靜,活活當著你者一夥炒心子狗才,只得到此,有J39nB471_p0994c28何理論?言得是,不免要喫老僧痛棒;言得不是,亦要J39nB471_p0994c29喫棒。速速親切道來!」堂主云:「學人不敢呈白,只恐言J39nB471_p0994c30得是挨打,言不是亦挨打。」師云:「更打三十拄杖。」進云:J39nB471_p0995a01「因甚如是?」師云:「打你不分優劣。」問:「話頭是一是二?」師J39nB471_p0995a02云:「話頭千千,悟則無二。」進云:「令學人參那個話頭?」師J39nB471_p0995a03舉杖云:「信手拈來即是禪,但能擬議落二三。」問:「禪不J39nB471_p0995a04參,佛不念,戒不持時如何?」師云:「了脫漢。」進云:「念佛、參J39nB471_p0995a05禪、持戒又如何?」師云:「自縛漢。」問:「前輩祖師太孤峻,天J39nB471_p0995a06子三召不赴命。請問和尚:此是如何?」師云:「不貪富貴J39nB471_p0995a07不求名,要與兒孫作準繩。」問:「如何報四恩?」師云:「息慮J39nB471_p0995a08忘緣。」進云:「出家報麼?」師云:「穩坐蒲團。」進云:「念佛報麼?」J39nB471_p0995a09師云:「一字不安。」進云:「持戒報麼?」師云:「缽擎梵天。」進云:J39nB471_p0995a10「參禪報麼?」師云:「遍地金磚。」問:「者著人人具備,個個完J39nB471_p0995a11全,因甚麼凡夫日用不知?不知是個甚麼?」師云:「描不J39nB471_p0995a12成,畫不就。」進云:「又作麼生?」師云:「千兩黃金不肯賣,十J39nB471_p0995a13字街頭送知音。」乃云:「不遇知音不與言,說來不值半J39nB471_p0995a14文錢,家家有到長安路,何必老僧為道穿?人既生於J39nB471_p0995a15天地之中,無非借假修真,權以陰陽動靜之機、四相J39nB471_p0995a16五行之用,開合變化,無窮無盡。若論至微虛無玄妙J39nB471_p0995a17一著,古云離四相、絕百非之句,鬼神莫可測,天地不J39nB471_p0995a18能據,皎皎若水月鏡花,明明似虛靈曜日,不托陰陽,J39nB471_p0995a19豈屬四相?正打旁敲者,無非是因境生風,借物托興,J39nB471_p0995a20總為發明期事也。似乎天象圓而輕清者為上,地象J39nB471_p0995a21方而重濁者為下,故此物有一定之理,人無轉變之J39nB471_p0995a22機,所以方而不圓者不能融通變化,濁而不清者不J39nB471_p0995a23得出格昇騰。既不能融化,各執一偏,物情有礙,人我J39nB471_p0995a24有分,因此而有諸佛眾生者也。山僧今日撥轉機關,J39nB471_p0995a25總教海晏河清,物情一化,天地萬物通成個活潑潑J39nB471_p0995a26道理,方處映方、圓處映圓,高卑內外總皆一然,何得J39nB471_p0995a27而有物情人我、諸佛眾生?所以祖師云:『青山綠水西J39nB471_p0995a28來意,翠竹黃花古佛心。』未嘗不是物情人我、理事融J39nB471_p0995a29和之說,豈可分別者哉?又云:『竹密不妨流水過,山高J39nB471_p0995a30豈礙白雲飛?』噫!玉柱金橋鎖峽口,白猙青鷂過重關,J39nB471_p0995b01宛然大快一樁事,總為時人起易難。近聞堂眾紛紛J39nB471_p0995b02而謂參禪必須要參活句、參死句,故不得力山前所J39nB471_p0995b03說理事乖諍、天地懸隔。若論初進,不得不辨死活之J39nB471_p0995b04分,殊不知死句是活句之根本、活句乃死句之枝葉,J39nB471_p0995b05不揣其本而逐其末、不拔其根而摘其葉,倘執以棄J39nB471_p0995b06本逐末、摘葉尋枝,窮劫不了,有甚勾當?古人抱一則J39nB471_p0995b07公案,千不捨、萬不捨,如釘釘木相似,永無移趲,豈有J39nB471_p0995b08死活之分、得失之殊?三五十年更不遷變,一生、二生J39nB471_p0995b09誓不放開,直到勃地一頭磅破漆桶、㘞地一聲迸開J39nB471_p0995b10腦蓋,方纔得個輕安,不敢言個死活之分,還要到原J39nB471_p0995b11頭一著,看定是甚麼境界,仍將本參話頭提起,看他J39nB471_p0995b12有疑無疑?若再起疑,命根未盡,直至到千不疑、萬不J39nB471_p0995b13疑,方纔的當。古云:『不怕生不得,只怕死不得』。若向死J39nB471_p0995b14中忽然一甦,如枯木逢春、冷灰發燄,自是物情不分、J39nB471_p0995b15理事無礙,宇宙山川皆共一色、是非人我通成一德、J39nB471_p0995b16一切萬物融通一化,方知碧眼胡本是西天賊,膽量J39nB471_p0995b17包虛空,一機分兩國,淫房問釋迦、酒肆尋彌勒,多少J39nB471_p0995b18大丈夫臨時皆失色,人人都想做強徒,丈八長鎗誰J39nB471_p0995b19捉得?呵呵!六月炎天飛片雪。」
J39nB471_p0995b20勘驗工夫,落堂云:「惟喜深山獨樂尊,深山原係道人J39nB471_p0995b21村,隔籬長筍送新菜,攔路生苔忘舊痕。月照竹床風J39nB471_p0995b22拂地,露飄紙帳水開門,三宣兩詔懶從命,但只拈香J39nB471_p0995b23報四恩。縱還到至尊至貴重者,無非是個長老已矣;J39nB471_p0995b24就到微末卑賤鄙陋者,難道不是個長老?只要了得J39nB471_p0995b25自心乾乾淨淨,那在聲名華麗?看有許多才高勢大,J39nB471_p0995b26到頭沒點支文。一病臥床,八苦臨身,不是肚痛,便是J39nB471_p0995b27腦疼。一世長老,幾個英靈?既為應世之模,先學十種J39nB471_p0995b28重道之法,然後行道,自是風綱皆正也。一者、形端表J39nB471_p0995b29正,息妒除貪;二者、禮義廉恥,尊卑遜讓;三者、濟孤拔J39nB471_p0995b30苦,恤老憐貧;四者、自責責他,己利利人;五者、慈柔溫J39nB471_p0995c01軟,和合一切;六者、是非不辨,冤親平等;七者、解人危J39nB471_p0995c02急,救人死生;八者、戒分漸次,禪列優規;九者、悟理見J39nB471_p0995c03真,垢盡明存;十者、廣行方便,普利群生。則不枉佛佛J39nB471_p0995c04祖祖婆心,片片續燄傳燈者也。只論守道行道之真,J39nB471_p0995c05何拘可貴可賤之分?有緣無緣?堅守戒根,一日行滿,J39nB471_p0995c06道法施行,纔終得長老家者場苦心苦志耳。即若山J39nB471_p0995c07僧平日不樂市廛,喜住深山,日聞黃鳥清音,夜聽白J39nB471_p0995c08鷴轉更,飛雲漫疊疊,流水急漼漼,多少眼界風光,助J39nB471_p0995c09吾日用快活。觀不盡深山閑曠無涯際,嘆不盡草木J39nB471_p0995c10花果有別奇。或時橫吹鐵笛,迎接高上賢士;或時鼓J39nB471_p0995c11打口皮,回顧中下凡愚。所以自在者,不過山林野衲;J39nB471_p0995c12快樂者,無亞隱逸天人。收時恬靜,放則優游。無名利J39nB471_p0995c13可貪,無人情可攀。上不謁見公卿,下不邀譽鄉紳。不J39nB471_p0995c14傷物情,不欺自心。衣食隨緣,但莫饑寒。造化由己,福J39nB471_p0995c15祿在天。接物利生,不立虛名。有不誇全,無不告艱。不J39nB471_p0995c16忮不求,出乎自然。住山須要深,人情不相侵。任從饑J39nB471_p0995c17荒亂,半點不干心。獨不言寡,眾不厭多。世事無執著,J39nB471_p0995c18何處動干戈?此是山僧重道之法。倘若依而行之,纔J39nB471_p0995c19不辜出家一片初志耳,又纔堪為當來範製。不然,變J39nB471_p0995c20淆祖師清規,誘壞後學法度。故此山僧者裏,禪分優J39nB471_p0995c21劣,頓漸而進;戒分賢愚,等列而登。纔不污辱於法門、J39nB471_p0995c22嘈𠱥於山僧。所以我本師老人原日無交涉,遠聞山J39nB471_p0995c23僧清白方正,蒼古孤硬,應世不垢,見地乾淨,故效古J39nB471_p0995c24訪賢,親趨勉強,曲為而當法任。諸禪德由是自重,抱J39nB471_p0995c25則公案,力行不變,入於深山,忘形絕念,年久日永,德J39nB471_p0995c26名周遍五湖四海,遙空禮贊,不啻老僧慕訪十方賢J39nB471_p0995c27者,不辭山之崎嶇,路之險峻,望風謁之。勿勞久立。」
J39nB471_p0995c28序單。師云:「近來世情澆薄,亂離之際,開此法席者,無J39nB471_p0995c29非為一大事因緣。從上諸祖儀規,大概為眾敘過一J39nB471_p0995c30番,宜當記取,莫作泛常。既近宗匠,爆熱爐邊來入,不J39nB471_p0996a01徇人情之所,一定要依規體範,不是草草匆匆消延J39nB471_p0996a02歲月,浪浪蕩蕩混度光陰。倘隨變遷,逐境漂流,豈不J39nB471_p0996a03可惜當年一片好心好志耳。果是好心,出家的八風J39nB471_p0996a04不能動搖,三毒那得相侵?只須豎起一片真實肝膽,J39nB471_p0996a05把當年習染雜惡毒濁之氣盡情掃蕩,英雄豪氣一J39nB471_p0996a06齊放下,諸塵煩擾洗滌淨盡無餘,拼死忘形做去,自J39nB471_p0996a07然有個出頭日子。一入堂中,耳不非聽,口不非言,手J39nB471_p0996a08不非動,足不非行,嚴其身,正其心,慎其儀,確其志,奮J39nB471_p0996a09然定要到大休大歇田地則可,倘生死不明,大事不J39nB471_p0996a10了,豈肯輕易放開?真為生死的人到者一步,還有個J39nB471_p0996a11甚麼人我是非?每慮十種深恩未報。何者為十恩?天J39nB471_p0996a12地覆載恩,日月照臨恩,國王水土恩,父母養育恩,師J39nB471_p0996a13長教訓恩,善友提攜恩,檀那衣食恩,行人血汗恩,贊J39nB471_p0996a14襄助揚恩,光被護法恩。每日恒思答報,又將那些工J39nB471_p0996a15夫了得己分上事。所以古云:『了脫業障本來空,未了J39nB471_p0996a16應須還宿債。』若論此語,安得不用心苦志哉?宜當慎J39nB471_p0996a17之奮之。又儒云:『朝聞道,夕死可矣。』三教大聖人誰不J39nB471_p0996a18是貪生畏死的?諸來禪德是必實為生死到此,既入J39nB471_p0996a19堂中做些死工夫,莫圖混過時光。一者遵依從上祖J39nB471_p0996a20師規制,二者不礙法門體統,三者美名傳無諸方。兼J39nB471_p0996a21且各人本分不共他有,重加痛惜,時時點檢,刻刻提J39nB471_p0996a22撕,未無不了的日子,必有出頭時節。萬望保重珍重。J39nB471_p0996a23所以老夫預先告過,莫待鼓響落堂,那時又是一番J39nB471_p0996a24境界。拄杖不順人情,謹慎。」
J39nB471_p0996a25「即此安具者,蓋緣老僧擔荷佛祖之重任,然而受我J39nB471_p0996a26先師之遺囑,既叨法門,安可自逸自恣而不激勵於J39nB471_p0996a27大眾?不啻不孝而有慢法之罪過無辭也。兼且世情J39nB471_p0996a28澆漓之際、法門蕭條之時,正好向此危極之中光揚J39nB471_p0996a29佛祖之門庭、顯耀禪宗之風威,托賴眾兄弟大家勇J39nB471_p0996a30猛精進,把生死二字貼在額頭上,提起本參話頭,行J39nB471_p0996b01住坐臥、穿衣喫飯、屙屎撒尿,一切處、一切時發起疑J39nB471_p0996b02情,直到不覺不知、磅著磕著、勃頭㘞地一聲,方知冰J39nB471_p0996b03釋是水、泥凝即土。果到恁麼田地,纔不辜負老僧舉J39nB471_p0996b04此者場心力,亦不辜行人血汗之力,且不枉出家之J39nB471_p0996b05志耳。其中有為生死辭親割愛出家者、為生死拋妻J39nB471_p0996b06撇子出家者、為生死捨富貴出家者、為生死辭官棄J39nB471_p0996b07爵出家者、為生死經商賈客出家者、為生死看破世J39nB471_p0996b08事無常如夢如幻而求出家者,由是種種出家俱是J39nB471_p0996b09真為生死,就要現前把生死二字了得乾乾淨淨、潔J39nB471_p0996b10潔白白,直到千了百當,方纔報得佛祖之恩;一了百J39nB471_p0996b11了,方纔報得覆載之恩;一明百明,方纔報得水土之J39nB471_p0996b12恩;一證百證,方纔報得親師哺訓之恩;一休百休,方J39nB471_p0996b13纔報得檀那之恩;一惺百惺,方纔不枉離塵脫俗之J39nB471_p0996b14志;一悟百悟,方纔紹祖傳燈、接物利生。既為佛子,當J39nB471_p0996b15報佛恩,未必是父母難養而求出家,只圖苟延歲月J39nB471_p0996b16耶?未必是貧窮孤苦出家,倚就衣食耶?未必是有難J39nB471_p0996b17了的事出家,好躲是非耶?未必是苦磨不過出家,以J39nB471_p0996b18圖清閒自在耶?未必是卑賤出家,免受拘束耶?就是J39nB471_p0996b19種種事故而求出家。既得出家,已愈加一番悚慄,速J39nB471_p0996b20求脫離苦海。不然,大限盡日,仍受輪迴,依償冤債去J39nB471_p0996b21也。所以老僧孜孜叮嚀,囑諸大眾明心見性,超出三J39nB471_p0996b22界。其或不然,被他所轉,轉來轉去,轉去轉來,轉到末J39nB471_p0996b23劫盡時,三災一起,萬物化為微塵,那個時間誰作依J39nB471_p0996b24怙?勿勞久立。」
J39nB471_p0996b25南漳眾善齊到山,惟王大善天未明向禪床前禮跪,J39nB471_p0996b26求指示。師叱云:「佛法如雲普覆,如雨普潤,待老僧下J39nB471_p0996b27單,四眾等齊,方可共聞。」齋次,上堂,云:「今早大善私入J39nB471_p0996b28方丈,欲想為他一人說個私法,反被老僧一頓。何也?J39nB471_p0996b29老僧之法不是外道小乘,六耳不傳,邪言鬼語,度雙J39nB471_p0996b30不度單,胡說幾字工夫,週身安名,四肢搬運,妄言說J39nB471_p0996c01法不離體,見神見鬼以作希奇。如此用心,墮入魔眷,J39nB471_p0996c02可悲可愍。老僧不吝慈悲,大大開個廣貨舖,任憑世J39nB471_p0996c03人採買。識得貨的,買些無花錦、無絲緞、鐵釘飯、木楂J39nB471_p0996c04羹,得個煖飽,一生快活;不識貨的,買些豐艷花、香熟J39nB471_p0996c05果、雪捏龍、紙嵌鳳,圖個眼前風光,想是現前眾善。不J39nB471_p0996c06圖眼前風光,豈望一時飽煖?定求卻斷生死至方,剿J39nB471_p0996c07絕輪迴妙藥。汝等諦聽,吾今為說:欲想登脫三界,超J39nB471_p0996c08出苦海,別無岐路,一定要參禪悟道,明心見性,方能J39nB471_p0996c09了脫生死命根。若不信此者一著,別生異端異見,聽J39nB471_p0996c10信邪言邪語,妄起是非,捏妖捏怪,惑亂人心,不向三J39nB471_p0996c11寶之明路,返行邪俗之妄途,說甚麼老祖提名、老母J39nB471_p0996c12掛號、俗子無知傾心取信?正所謂一邪誘百邪,一盲J39nB471_p0996c13引百盲也。任他千方萬計、百機百巧,大限臨頭都抵J39nB471_p0996c14擋他不住,金箱鐵櫃掩藏不住,早來早去、晚來晚去,J39nB471_p0996c15豈待其時?故我世尊於兜率陀天觀娑婆苦海眾生J39nB471_p0996c16輪迴不息,屈尊就卑,降生飯宮,離塵說法,廣利群品,J39nB471_p0996c17有情無情同霑法利,千百年法流震旦。我東土眾生,J39nB471_p0996c18方知香花燈水,恭敬三寶,念佛持誦,收束一心,廣積J39nB471_p0996c19功勳,善根純熟,忽聞正法,一了百當。苟或未然,看則J39nB471_p0996c20公案,以為鎮心符子,不得胡思亂想,一名公案,一名J39nB471_p0996c21話頭,一名敲門瓦子,一名過河探竿,借他起疑。若發J39nB471_p0996c22起疑情,一點用他不著。《禪關》云:『不管話頭舉不舉,只J39nB471_p0996c23要疑情發得起。話頭縱有千千,悟則本來無二。』如參J39nB471_p0996c24父母未生已前面目,行住坐臥,日逐十二時,心心相J39nB471_p0996c25顧,念念在茲。畢竟如何是我父母未生已前面目?即J39nB471_p0996c26此現前臭皮囊,是汝父母已生。若認此面目,有生有J39nB471_p0996c27死,有成有壞,無非倚假修真,借船過渡。所以云:迷者J39nB471_p0996c28修身,智者悟心。或云:真心無迷悟,豈假修悟乎?心如J39nB471_p0996c29杲日當空,蓋因癡雲彌佈遮障,而有陰暗不明,必假J39nB471_p0996c30慧風掃蕩,明暗色空,一時明徹。真心雖無迷悟,蓋為J39nB471_p0997a01眾生貪七情六欲,逐妄迷真,如鏡年久日遠,而未盪J39nB471_p0997a02磨垢塵,漸漸深厚,而不能自照本來面目。所以參話J39nB471_p0997a03頭者,如撥雲見青天,磨鏡去塵垢,忽然一時雲開見J39nB471_p0997a04日,垢淨明存,剔起眉毛,豎起脊梁,念動本參話頭,只J39nB471_p0997a05見疑情片片,久久頓息,連參的一字丟向一邊,話頭J39nB471_p0997a06也用他不著,專專只在疑上著腳,疑來疑去,疑去疑J39nB471_p0997a07來,疑到情窮理極,人我齊忘,萬法皆空,勃然自覺,如J39nB471_p0997a08放下千斤重擔相似,又如新出浴一般。若到者個地J39nB471_p0997a09頭,荊棘叢中無罣礙,鑊湯爐炭得翻身,頭頭拈起祖J39nB471_p0997a10師意,步步蓮花足下生。勿勞久跪,珍重。」
J39nB471_p0997a11今日說,明日說,說得老僧心發惡。一頓亂棒趁出門,J39nB471_p0997a12看向何方尋下落。呵呵!贏得渠儂大快活。
J39nB471_p0997a13己巳九月十五,住成都寶光,禮萬佛,秀實辦齋,請落J39nB471_p0997a14堂普說。師云:「世尊曾放眉間光,正法流行耀十方。地J39nB471_p0997a15湧金蓮乘法界,天垂寶蓋覆中央。恒沙諸佛如雲集,J39nB471_p0997a16無量菩薩坐道場。諸上善人誠頂禮,願明心地出凡J39nB471_p0997a17邦。今朝大集會中,各呈本願:有求出家清吉,壽不中J39nB471_p0997a18夭者;有求功名顯達,門風高俊,世代簪纓者;有求兒J39nB471_p0997a19女接續祖宗淵源,瓜瓞綿綿者;有此商賈客旅而求J39nB471_p0997a20利息,希望諸般遂意者;有為父母持齋念佛,以報劬J39nB471_p0997a21勞養育之恩者;有持齋把素,求脫生死輪迴者;有一J39nB471_p0997a22心念佛,願生阿彌陀佛國土者;有參禪學道,願早離J39nB471_p0997a23三界火宅者;有參禪學道,求躲脫風水火大三災者;J39nB471_p0997a24有參禪悟道,證無上菩提,願教化末運眾生者。人有J39nB471_p0997a25善念,天必從之,總在仁人君子,有一點誠意舉動處J39nB471_p0997a26下落。故此人乃萬物之靈,修仙證仙,修佛成佛,三乘J39nB471_p0997a27四果,十六觀門,小乘外道,人乃一樣,根種差別。所以J39nB471_p0997a28云:當頭不遇作家,到底返成骨董。第一要信得及自J39nB471_p0997a29心本是佛,只為貪、嗔、癡、愛四個字放不下,即曰眾生J39nB471_p0997a30凡夫者也。上古聖人無非信字看真切,何也?信者,道J39nB471_p0997b01原功德母;心者,能為萬物主,不逐四時凋。行善作惡J39nB471_p0997b02皆由此心,六道四生、穿胎入腹、披毛戴角皆由此心,J39nB471_p0997b03作六畜禽蟲、大小形類皆由此心,生天墜獄、中華邊J39nB471_p0997b04地皆由此心,為聖為賢未嘗不是者一點光明正直、J39nB471_p0997b05廣大慈善之心。西天二十八祖三年航海特來震旦,J39nB471_p0997b06并無別言,只說個安心已矣。曹溪六祖夫師因聽客J39nB471_p0997b07誦《金剛經》『云何應住?云何降伏其心?』山僧直教大眾J39nB471_p0997b08專守一心,無一不成就菩提道果。聽吾一頌:為聖為J39nB471_p0997b09賢既是心,秉心端正合天真。九幽十類俱遊遍,萬死J39nB471_p0997b10千生得正因。火速修行成正覺,明心悟道入傳燈。若J39nB471_p0997b11還錯過現前日,招得來時不似今。」下座。
J39nB471_p0997b12住寶光,禮萬佛竟,普說。「近來佛法漸凋殘,兔角龜毛J39nB471_p0997b13不值錢,默識心通了本分,音聲佛事乃方權。逢場作J39nB471_p0997b14用當無意,遇境鏗鏘應有緣,今此寶光禮萬佛,其中J39nB471_p0997b15枝節有包含。試問大眾:頭頭了然,法法現成,亦無背J39nB471_p0997b16向遮覆,且道包含個甚麼?若不會,只得將萬佛始末J39nB471_p0997b17為眾表白。若禮一佛,內有一心發動;禮萬佛,內有萬J39nB471_p0997b18遍正念現前,五體投地,一念如如,萬境皆空,是為性J39nB471_p0997b19空法界如虛空,根塵不動遍周禮。切莫錯會老夫頭J39nB471_p0997b20上去安頭、矢上添尖,蓋因相機應時權便也。會得過,J39nB471_p0997b21咳吐掉臂真玄妙,跳打跌蹼皆神通;者裏不會,大家J39nB471_p0997b22輥入葛藤窩中。幸喜大眾相伴同禮萬佛弘名四十J39nB471_p0997b23九日已竟,試問大眾:拜辭諸佛、諸大菩薩,臨行有甚J39nB471_p0997b24言句記莂而去?」眾皆無答。師舉起拄杖示眾云:「見麼?J39nB471_p0997b25諸佛在山僧拄杖頭上放大神光,光中演說諸佛智J39nB471_p0997b26慧德相不可思議,凡有希求,必獲如意。佛言如是。若J39nB471_p0997b27以山僧論之,不可有心求,不可無相得。此乃正是相J39nB471_p0997b28法住世之時,是必借假修真,真異成假,假實成真,真J39nB471_p0997b29假不異,萬佛在心,物情融化,事事相因。敬奉泥龍,尚J39nB471_p0997b30感真龍行雨;禮拜木佛,安無活佛利生。古哲三十五J39nB471_p0997c01位禮過去七佛寶號而成道果,五十三人敬禮三十J39nB471_p0997c02五佛洪名得證金身。世常云:無山不興寺,無水不行J39nB471_p0997c03船,開池不帶月,池成月自還。若不至誠伸請,佛豈自J39nB471_p0997c04降臨凡?佛念眾生如己子,眾生禮佛若坤乾,惟願諸J39nB471_p0997c05佛常加護,永劫侍隨如來前。悟徹祖師法印,代佛教J39nB471_p0997c06愚化賢,慈效觀音應化,悲似文殊普賢。諸佛加庇賜J39nB471_p0997c07神通,六道眾生度化全,對佛願心恒濟物,度盡眾生J39nB471_p0997c08證涅槃。普願會中禮佛者,同上金剛般若船,自向寶J39nB471_p0997c09光聞法喜,劫劫如同此日緣。」
