J36nB369_p0934c04上堂。舉:「雪峰在洞山作飯頭,淘米次,山問曰:『淘米去J36nB369_p0934c05沙?淘沙去米?』峰曰:『沙米一齊去。』山曰:『大眾喫箇甚麼?』J36nB369_p0934c06峰覆卻盆子。山曰:『據子因緣,合在德山。』」師曰:「雪峰覆J36nB369_p0934c07卻盆子,洞山不肯其意,激揚者辭無所異,明斷者理J36nB369_p0934c08有不同。山僧實情告報,膽大者大如須彌,心小者小J36nB369_p0934c09如芥子。如信不及,再為頌出:賣藥脩琴歸去遲,山風J36nB369_p0934c10吹盡桂花枝,世間甲子須臾事,逢著仙人莫看棋。」
J36nB369_p0934c11上堂。「向來指東說西,秖益戲論。今日與諸人說些佛J36nB369_p0934c12法大意,宣公橋上水仙花極多盛開,不曾見者,可買J36nB369_p0934c13一兩盆來看看。」顧視大眾曰:「咦!」
J36nB369_p0934c14上堂。「此著子立地搆去,似鶻捉鳩,不資餘力,已是驚J36nB369_p0934c15群動眾,變態多端。那堪立階級、分貴賤,半前半後、不J36nB369_p0934c16進不退,向人手裏討活路?」卓拄杖曰:「而今闢開一條J36nB369_p0934c17活路了也,作麼生造詣?迢遙皆客夢,只尺是仙家。」
J36nB369_p0934c18上堂。「一向緘脣結吻,卻蹈淨名覆轍。若還隨波逐浪,J36nB369_p0934c19已仍釋迦陋規。有者任緣無作,動寂常真,正是循墻J36nB369_p0934c20模壁底瞎漢。且道如何是本分衲僧出身要徑?」良久J36nB369_p0934c21曰:「月滿御街騎玉馬,霜清綸閣聽金雞。」
J36nB369_p0934c22上堂。「十五日以前已為人所棄,何用高談?十五日以J36nB369_p0934c23後未為眾所知,不必發議。正當十五日,我觀一切普J36nB369_p0934c24皆平等,以一妙音而可暢演者也。投子賣油、雪峰輥J36nB369_p0934c25毬,老不識羞,話杷傳來知幾秋?賺後人,天外尋天著J36nB369_p0934c26甚由?看山僧掉轉船頭,將返黃河天上流。」高聲喚曰:J36nB369_p0934c27「大眾!風飂飂、冷湫湫,歸堂去了罷休。」
J36nB369_p0934c28上堂。「就下平高身泛泛,麤言細語口喃喃,大似扶猢J36nB369_p0934c29猻上樹、祝癩狗生天,不但人憎,自亦可怨,山僧已納J36nB369_p0934c30敗闕了也。若是真箇衲僧,直是好笑。且道笑箇甚麼?J36nB369_p0935a01應識故人已凋謝,鴈傳書札與誰看?」
J36nB369_p0935a02彌陀誕日,上堂。卓拄杖,曰:「者箇住處,樓臺玉砌,階道J36nB369_p0935a03金鋪。行樹有濃陰遮蔽,幽禽唱和雅梵音。池泓八德J36nB369_p0935a04之水,蓮開不謝之花。乃一切人共有田園,卻被彌陀J36nB369_p0935a05老子僭住其中,受用於此,多劫以來,不肯轉動。今朝J36nB369_p0935a06是伊降生之日,與他說三句,為諸人拔本。」拈起拄杖,J36nB369_p0935a07曰:「家業現在,勸君莫疑猜,歸去來。」復卓拄杖,下座。
J36nB369_p0935a08上堂。「客從遠方來,遺我一書札。書中無一言,事事說J36nB369_p0935a09得著。既無言說,著箇甚麼?」良久曰:「近火徹骨寒,履冰J36nB369_p0935a10要熱殺。」
J36nB369_p0935a11上堂。「古人舉不起底。」豎拂子,曰:「山僧舉了。古人說不J36nB369_p0935a12來底。」喝一喝,曰:「山僧說了。少室峰前句,石頭路上歌,J36nB369_p0935a13風外鐘聲,煙中樹影,盡入畫圖,皆堪提唱。山僧語鈍,J36nB369_p0935a14不敢浪傳,十字街頭等箇人說去。」擊拂子一下。
J36nB369_p0935a15上堂。「省緣務道作規繩,芙蓉之家法;小參普說為供J36nB369_p0935a16養,高菴之門風。東塔道場曠謐,路徑閒清,茶飯麤疏,J36nB369_p0935a17食飲便利。如欲標榜宗猷,可援舊例。」伸手,曰:「因甚喚J36nB369_p0935a18作手握拳?」曰:「何故卻成拳?」拍案一下,曰:「人心若好,喫J36nB369_p0935a19水也甜。」
J36nB369_p0935a20上堂。「不會巧言令色,有事直頭說出。是處非處,諸人J36nB369_p0935a21自知;祖意教意,山僧不識。而今抑逼將來,秖得拆籬J36nB369_p0935a22補壁。」遂欬嗽一聲,曰:「還當得麼?」便下座。
J36nB369_p0935a23上堂。「長連床上悟得底,終是狐疑;草鞋頭邊踏著底,J36nB369_p0935a24未為潔淨。張飛喝斷霸陵橋,人人道我曉得;觀音菩J36nB369_p0935a25薩將錢買胡餅,放下手時卻是饅頭。因甚箇箇商量J36nB369_p0935a26不來?高桐爨下有,鍾子世間無。」
J36nB369_p0935a27上堂。「山僧在五山已多時,非因常住,緩急躊躇,便與J36nB369_p0935a28客人會晤清談。然達磨到我東土,心上一段景況,無J36nB369_p0935a29人描畫得來。而今空閒,不妨一筆寫成。」遂以拂子畫J36nB369_p0935a30[十○]曰:「世間無拌命人,焉得有此奇觀?」
J36nB369_p0935b01上堂。舉:「同安志和尚因僧問:『凡有言句,盡落今時。學J36nB369_p0935b02人上來,請師直指。』志曰:『目前不現,句後不迷。』僧曰:『向J36nB369_p0935b03上事如何?』志曰:『迥然不換,標的即乖。』」師曰:「向空劫以J36nB369_p0935b04前奮藻舒懷,這僧雖為吟想之至,若不是同安老人J36nB369_p0935b05運自然之妙,有以愛才成務,爭見悟本家風、大體高J36nB369_p0935b06貴?是則固是,要見向上事,不異隔羅望月,山僧豈可J36nB369_p0935b07再得顢頇?」良久,云:「天曉石人閒說夢,夜深生得白頭J36nB369_p0935b08兒。」
J36nB369_p0935b09上堂。眾集,師連扣齒曰:「正要說佛法,牙齒痛起來了,J36nB369_p0935b10總被你者些溫六公帶累。」叱之令去。眾退,師喚曰:「且J36nB369_p0935b11來!且來!」眾回首,師曰:「為聽一言誤,重添萬斛愁。」
J36nB369_p0935b12上堂。「子湖嵒前樹看狗牌,到者心膽鸇驚;東塔門前J36nB369_p0935b13無物留礙,來者襟懷開爽。雖然,要見子湖則易,要見J36nB369_p0935b14東塔則難。汝等若不信,試問福城東際人。」
J36nB369_p0935b15上堂。拈拄杖曰:「釋迦老子來也,欲令汝等智慧明了,J36nB369_p0935b16所聞諸法悉自開解,不由他悟。」卓拄杖:「此雖好言,秖J36nB369_p0935b17信一半。何謂?論交世上重黃金,那得英雄甘頫首?」
J36nB369_p0935b18上堂。拈拄杖曰:「烏藤子有大誓願,能斷一切人疑惑,J36nB369_p0935b19有疑者出來。」驀喚一僧出,曰:「說你有疑。」僧曰:「水急游J36nB369_p0935b20魚不敢棲。」師曰:「你賒常住漿粉,為甚不還錢?」僧罔措,J36nB369_p0935b21師連棒打趁。
J36nB369_p0935b22至日,上堂。「人人道盡大地是自己光,光未發時,離聖J36nB369_p0935b23凡名、絕彼此相,非屬死生變異,豈隨時令推移?但我J36nB369_p0935b24眼正作得主、把得定便休,何異睦州道底?設使劫前J36nB369_p0935b25轉步,格外翻身,本懷蚤暢,吾道潛亨,小往大來,神機J36nB369_p0935b26莫測。岸頭枯柳,青眼將舒;墻角寒梅,紅腮欲放。過客J36nB369_p0935b27盛談繁祉,逢人加額休祺。如斯展演,在建化門中固J36nB369_p0935b28可稱尊。要明向上一竅,有箇關捩子須撥轉始得。」遂J36nB369_p0935b29豎拂子:「大眾!看山僧拂子頭上放百寶無畏光明了J36nB369_p0935b30也。」乃擊一下:「律灰葭管動,何處不春臺?」
J36nB369_p0935c01晚參。舉:「楊岐會禪師上堂云:『薄福住楊岐,年來氣力J36nB369_p0935c02衰,寒風凋敗葉,猶喜故人歸。囉囉哩,拈卻死柴頭,且J36nB369_p0935c03向無煙火。』」師曰:「老楊岐欲高大聲價,務自標譽,固然J36nB369_p0935c04賣弄不少,終有些寒酸氣味。山僧竊響猜音,亦效謳J36nB369_p0935c05吟一頌:夢手攜笻住五山,肅疏風味異人間,簷前炙J36nB369_p0935c06背身嘗暖,舊日知交絕往還。然則大行祖令畢竟如J36nB369_p0935c07何?綸鉤不向煙波下,傲殺朱涇一艇閒。」
J36nB369_p0935c08上堂。「有時放開白屋多新貴,有時把斷青山少故人。J36nB369_p0935c09策其進也,眾人皆疲倦;保其退也,此輩甚可憫。不進J36nB369_p0935c10不退,正是困風霜於多劫,徒勤苦於窮年。試問諸人:J36nB369_p0935c11如何得高枕無憂去?沙汀寒雨歇,不用製漁蓑。」
J36nB369_p0935c12上堂。擲拂子:「者箇要他何用?翰飛戾天,發言可詠,尚J36nB369_p0935c13無一箇半箇放在眼上。祖令不以行,宗猷如何闡?莫J36nB369_p0935c14若棄置為佳。有謂恁麼實是簡徑,或中下根來將何J36nB369_p0935c15引誘?」喝一喝,「不可謂無慈心三昧。」
J36nB369_p0935c16上堂。「山僧昨夜夢升普光明殿,開示如來秘要之藏,J36nB369_p0935c17欲令一切人獲難思智、入無疑地。文殊、普賢背地冷J36nB369_p0935c18笑曰:『莫!莫!』善財童子面前大叫道:『好!好!』觸著拄杖子,J36nB369_p0935c19各與三十棒。文殊、普賢自知過犯,善財童子心不悅J36nB369_p0935c20服,突出眾前高聲曰:『我向南方參五十餘員善知識,J36nB369_p0935c21靡不讚我:「善男子!善哉,善哉!」我因此契悟,特呈所解,J36nB369_p0935c22不望和尚印證,反將痛棒亂打。當今為長老者,若不J36nB369_p0935c23斟酌時宜,做好好先生,鬼也沒得來、飯也無處討。』山J36nB369_p0935c24僧被者小孩子唐突一上,驚醒轉來,心憤憤、悶悠悠,J36nB369_p0935c25盡思度量解釋不來,有勞大眾轉一語。」良久,呵呵大J36nB369_p0935c26笑:「到底難謾明眼人。」
J36nB369_p0935c27湛祖忌日,上堂。「先師翁萬曆丙辰曾在此山佩大鑑J36nB369_p0935c28靈符,行悟本戰陣,阬陷無數英雄豪傑。屈指春秋忽J36nB369_p0935c29有五十四載,冤聲未歇,怨氣猶存。山僧忝為後裔,承J36nB369_p0935c30乏此山,本要理白分清,媲隆專美,言澈肺腸之言、事J36nB369_p0936a01舒眉目之事。有者道:『既是腳下兒孫種草,如是家風、J36nB369_p0936a02如是氣質、如是作略、如是仍復攪亂世界、誑惑愚夫,J36nB369_p0936a03焉得柄綰激揚、慈哀曠濟?』雖然,不可恁麼便休。」驀豎J36nB369_p0936a04拂子:「散木老人面目現前,燒一爐香、薦一杯茗,讎恨J36nB369_p0936a05未消,正宜報雪。」乃擊拂子:
J36nB369_p0936a06上堂。「用本現成,體無邊表。聖不可傳,賢不能曉。擬商J36nB369_p0936a07量,遠千里。將開口,隔萬山。有人道得恪好句,大功不J36nB369_p0936a08宰。其或不然,還憑吹笛聽梅花。」
J36nB369_p0936a09谷鳴、雪峨送法衣,請上堂。「從上家猷,不在強分條目,J36nB369_p0936a10廣設筌蹄,多籌深測,斷斷乎循文禮始,可祖胤綿長J36nB369_p0936a11也。即一絲一縷,稟受剛大,經緯精詳,絲頭不露。今時J36nB369_p0936a12文彩,全彰劫外。提其綱,千機並赴;挈其領,眾目齊張。J36nB369_p0936a13弘振古之心,大匡今之志。出以平懷,用之不苟。其不J36nB369_p0936a14聞天下而傳後世者,人孰信哉?故夫西天四七、東土J36nB369_p0936a15二三,乃至石頭路上一隊寐語漢,枝枝葉葉、披披搭J36nB369_p0936a16搭,綺互交錯,相續不斷。吾不敢欺,特申告誡。」舉衣示J36nB369_p0936a17之,曰:「識尊卑,明貴賤,觀其所由。」
J36nB369_p0936a18上堂。良久曰:「用志不分,乃凝於神。」喝一喝曰:「厥明伊J36nB369_p0936a19向,靡妙不研。」拈拄杖曰:「物不震不發,人不激不勇。」卓J36nB369_p0936a20一下曰:「柔還能邇,孔淑不逆。」召大眾曰:「夜裏捉得烏J36nB369_p0936a21龜,天明看是白炭。」
J36nB369_p0936a22上堂。「恁麼上來,近事多憂患。恁麼下去,羈心轉更愁。J36nB369_p0936a23總不恁麼,狹路相逢。殺人不償命底漢,如何迴避?」顧J36nB369_p0936a24左右曰:「夜深明月到丹墀。」
J36nB369_p0936a25上堂。「老聃讀丹經,孔子點周易,釋迦但無為,所以乖J36nB369_p0936a26名實。輸我衲僧家,渴則飲,饑則食,晝而作,夜而息,一J36nB369_p0936a27覺睡到天明,問道:更雞啼未啼?日頭出未出?是故於J36nB369_p0936a28世能為益。大眾!莫秖者便是麼?」良久,曰:「錯。」
J36nB369_p0936a29佛成道日,上堂。「雪嶺六年,思而可知,慮而可解。明星J36nB369_p0936a30一現,眼不能見,口不能言。從此四十九年,三百餘會,J36nB369_p0936b01彷彷彿彿,淈淈𣸩𣸩,未曾說箇清楚,致使鬼怪成群,J36nB369_p0936b02充塞世界;妖精作隊,遍滿剎塵。五山勢孤力弱,難以J36nB369_p0936b03抵敵,不敢褒其可褒、貶其可貶,祇循家禮而盡其心,J36nB369_p0936b04其餘不足謂也。何以故?春來紫陌上,鶯出畫橋啼。」
J36nB369_p0936b05上堂。「山僧適到園裏,問園頭曰:『地上栽得些甚麼菜J36nB369_p0936b06蔬?』頭曰:『那邊是白菜,者邊是芥菜。』山僧道:『無陰陽地J36nB369_p0936b07上栽些甚麼?』頭曰:『且到臨時看。』山僧道:『即今事作麼J36nB369_p0936b08生?』頭罔測,請各為園頭下一轉語。」眾下語皆不契,師J36nB369_p0936b09代曰:「不因和尚問,幾乎忘卻。」
J36nB369_p0936b10上堂。舉:「迦葉尊者踏泥次,有沙彌乃問:『尊者何得自J36nB369_p0936b11為?』者曰:『我若不為,誰為我為?』」師曰:「君嫌我不得閒,我J36nB369_p0936b12謂君悵忘歸。迦葉與沙彌雖為實語無欺,不顧隔墻J36nB369_p0936b13有耳。山僧恁麼道,有箇淆訛處,不妨為諸人說破。」乃J36nB369_p0936b14噓一聲,下座。
J36nB369_p0936b15師誕日,眾護法請上堂。「教中道:『所有三世諸佛法,如J36nB369_p0936b16來一句能演說。』若論者一句,日月並其照臨,海山同J36nB369_p0936b17其堅固,草木以之春生夏長,禽魚以之游泳飛騰。淨J36nB369_p0936b18名老得而能談不二妙旨,龐道玄得而一口吸盡西J36nB369_p0936b19江。即我福城東際,仁厚興歌;角里街頭,斯文愜望。高J36nB369_p0936b20低不辨,風月平分;彼此無拘,主賓和唱。亦由者一句J36nB369_p0936b21子。」拈拄杖曰:「拄杖子在傍,見如是型模,忍俊不禁,極J36nB369_p0936b22口讚嘆道:『諸佛降生,拔濟有情。歷祖出世,行希有事。J36nB369_p0936b23所說千句萬句,不如者一句好。』大眾!且道是甚麼句?」J36nB369_p0936b24卓拄杖曰:「能知世外風猷遠,不覺人間日月忙。」
J36nB369_p0936b25天寧道舊輿庵,及恭爾、慧犀二侍者祝師壽,同請上J36nB369_p0936b26堂。「髻綰雙鬟,歡踰格外,是稚小無知之態度;年始半J36nB369_p0936b27百,髮白齒疏,乃老大無成之過咎。遇物情之得失,當J36nB369_p0936b28行事之是非,明以責人,昧以恕己,在友能知,非賢莫J36nB369_p0936b29辨。是故天下人皆唾罵者,謂出群傲種,壞法班頭。今J36nB369_p0936b30朝狹路相逢,要問我父母未生前是甚形貌?作何事J36nB369_p0936c01業?無言可對,無理可伸,秖可道箇玉蟾跳入廣寒宮,J36nB369_p0936c02好笑烏龜鑽破壁。」
J36nB369_p0936c03立首座、監收、知客、侍者,上堂。「栽培大樹,蓋覆人天,全J36nB369_p0936c04在金鋤得力。客來須看,賊來須打,總之仍舊家謨。吹J36nB369_p0936c05一微塵遍十方界,不是目前法;攝大海水入涓滴中,J36nB369_p0936c06亦非向上事。扇子雖破,犀牛兒在,可笑鹽官外揚家J36nB369_p0936c07醜,上下和融,稱美不難。其人風雷欬唾皆宜,始為多J36nB369_p0936c08士。尋常道:佛法在迎賓待客處,在日用施為處。且道J36nB369_p0936c09即今佛法在甚麼處?同心努力無餘事,揚起真燈照J36nB369_p0936c10寂寥。」
J36nB369_p0936c11上堂。舉:「雲門良久曰:『秖者箇帶累殺人。』」師曰:「雲門尋J36nB369_p0936c12常氣概,如大將統百萬師,虛實縱橫,皆有家法,智不J36nB369_p0936c13可測,勢莫能犯。說此語話,著甚死急?五山則不然,秖J36nB369_p0936c14者箇快活殺人。且道雲門是?五山是?」良久:「弭亂可宜J36nB369_p0936c15千日酒,消貧不用五車書。」
J36nB369_p0936c16上堂。舉:「唐肅宗皇帝問南陽忠國師曰:『師在曹溪得J36nB369_p0936c17何法。』忠曰:『陛下還見空中一片雲麼?』帝曰:『見。』忠曰:『釘J36nB369_p0936c18釘著,懸挂著。』」師曰:「國師酬對,輕重有衡,語絕滲漏,今J36nB369_p0936c19古自無等匹,堪為帝者師也。或肅宗皇帝能施返躑J36nB369_p0936c20之機,敢保國師隱身無地。然則者一片雲,畢竟是曹J36nB369_p0936c21溪得?不是曹溪得?」良久曰:「石女簪花火裏眠。」
J36nB369_p0936c22除夜,小參。「此歡謂可終,外物始難畢。搖蕩箕濮情,窮J36nB369_p0936c23年迫憂慄。此是世諦中人,為旅情宦況、世務塵緣所J36nB369_p0936c24累,不能如箕山濮水高遯幽棲,適時歡樂,終老餘年,J36nB369_p0936c25未遂所志,故有如斯感詠。然我參玄上士,遠棄父母,J36nB369_p0936c26瓢笠天涯,風霜切體,險阻驚心,將生死大事視作等J36nB369_p0936c27閒,妄想紛馳,我人鼓譟,聚而謔笑,遊說無根,論年不J36nB369_p0936c28省,終歲無慚,把好日子悠悠送過去了,到臘月三十J36nB369_p0936c29日,不審何以興歌也?有般強項禪流,卻道我自別有J36nB369_p0936c30風流體段,不隨世節改移。殊不知,正是深村古廟裏,J36nB369_p0937a01泥塑木雕無轉智大王,有甚用處?若是卷舒自在、逸J36nB369_p0937a02格變通底漢,便從臘盡開心眼,自見梅花一段情。」喝J36nB369_p0937a03一喝。
J36nB369_p0937a04復舉:「三平問大顛:『不用指東話西,請師直指。』顛曰:『幽J36nB369_p0937a05州江口石人蹲,平日猶是指東話西。』顛曰:『若是鳳皇J36nB369_p0937a06兒,不向那邊討。』平禮拜。顛曰:『若不是前語,後話也難J36nB369_p0937a07圓。』」師曰:「大顛被三平一逼,幾乎塞斷咽喉,不得轉氣。J36nB369_p0937a08及至思算將來,大似人家欠債多了,到臘月三十日,J36nB369_p0937a09東邊也來討、西邊也來討,無計遣發,只管撩天。傍觀J36nB369_p0937a10聽了,直是好笑。今夜設有問五山:『不用指東話西,請J36nB369_p0937a11師直指。』但道:『秖憑寒漏催殘臘,試聽春風引話長。』」
J36nB369_p0937a12元日,上堂。豎拂子,曰:「此謂普詣一切如來所修具足J36nB369_p0937a13功德莊嚴境界,有生愛樂能證入者,妙展不從時節,J36nB369_p0937a14施為豈藉因緣?敬其所尊,酬其所本。九重殿上,視J36nB369_p0937a15世主無疆之壽;微塵剎內,稱僧園震肅之歌。抑見山J36nB369_p0937a16僧同諸人登普光明殿,無量法門一音為說,令彼見J36nB369_p0937a17聞咸生歡喜。更有一事,雖極現成,體絕偏圓,用無向J36nB369_p0937a18背,對知有人,不妨重舉。庚戌年正月朔旦,恭惟兩班J36nB369_p0937a19頭首、合山道侶,眉毛常橫眼上,鼻孔不離口邊。」擊拂J36nB369_p0937a20子。
J36nB369_p0937a21解制,上堂。「九十日用心,狂猿羈露柱。二六時努力,烈J36nB369_p0937a22馬繫枯樁。那裏曉得,村語吳涇月下,漁歌鴛水波中,J36nB369_p0937a23句句全超劫外,聲聲不落今時。若是箇善達機宜,便J36nB369_p0937a24合乘時奮迅,如大鵬展翅,搏扶搖而上者九萬里。豈J36nB369_p0937a25肯拘出入,較陰晴,攢眉合眼,作膿包樣子?」喝一喝,曰:J36nB369_p0937a26「今日風流是不傳。」
J36nB369_p0937a27立春,上堂。「條風始布,泰運方躋。芒神不辭辛苦,土牛J36nB369_p0937a28正好拖犁。惟我雲水高流,來者如是來、去者如是去,J36nB369_p0937a29遊行自在,坦蕩無拘,可稱無事道人。五山寂寥,無物J36nB369_p0937a30可以慶賞。做得些無米湯團,莫論大小偏圓,如咬嚼J36nB369_p0937b01得破,百味自然具足。」以拂子劃⊙曰:「歲時荒歉,莫怪J36nB369_p0937b02空疏。」

J36nB369_p0937b10鼎悟、禪聞、智因,同請上堂。「身在纏中,志惟向上,無甚J36nB369_p0937b11難事,秖將無始時識路衝開、情封裂破,大千剎境原J36nB369_p0937b12在毫端,一切聖賢咸歸掌握,驀地相逢,者邊那畔遐J36nB369_p0937b13齡永享、弘願克成。設使或東或西、不疑不信,依舊於J36nB369_p0937b14情封識路累劫遷延,未有出離。喚甚麼作情封識路?J36nB369_p0937b15執男女相是、分緇素名是,欲參禪是、求悟道是,從上J36nB369_p0937b16佛祖、天下知識立正偏、說人境總是向下。五山者裏J36nB369_p0937b17搪風抵露、任暑經寒,向上向下何暇分疏?為受弟子J36nB369_p0937b18鼎悟、禪聞、智因殷勤三請,塵劫來事要決擇正在今J36nB369_p0937b19時。」卓拄杖,曰:「梅花夾竹開多樹,香雪飄來風滿庭。」
J36nB369_p0937b20資福伴我和尚訃至,上堂。「自達磨來,震旦踏出一條J36nB369_p0937b21石頭大路,晝而月朗、夜而日明,所貴有人葺理整治。J36nB369_p0937b22一切人到者裏,放手踏歌,咸知玉笥深蒼,會見華林J36nB369_p0937b23掩映。是故資福伴兄和尚,棄儒冠,佩祖印,道行天下,J36nB369_p0937b24胤布寰中,為法門增氣而有光赫耀。今已往矣,情量J36nB369_p0937b25未泯者,懷憂戀慕,合有悲號。正眼看來,善知識現身J36nB369_p0937b26說法處也。剎塵普遍,隱顯全該,來實不生,去時無滅。J36nB369_p0937b27大眾若信得及,可謂知恩有地;如或不然,嗚呼哀哉!J36nB369_p0937b28梅花開雨後,香帶淚痕流。」
J36nB369_p0937b29文法師小祥,一爾請上堂。「若論教外別傳之道,真如J36nB369_p0937b30青天白日之下開發陳年秘藏,一一明了,無得而疑。J36nB369_p0937c01有等參隨禪子,以神機巧思計較商量,強分有漏無J36nB369_p0937c02漏、木杓笊篱、大乘小乘、錢貫井索,無同異中熾然成J36nB369_p0937c03異,固時俗之從流,亦當人少變化。惟文老人為說法J36nB369_p0937c04主,肘後懸雲門古佛之印,舌上有慈恩殺活之鋒,有J36nB369_p0937c05時垂手接人,赤腳波斯入鬧市;有時轉功就位,夜深J36nB369_p0937c06白鳥入蘆花。上不負先哲,下不昧己靈,五山口最大,J36nB369_p0937c07讚之莫能;眼極寬,睹之不及。汝等諸人作麼生鑽仰?J36nB369_p0937c08風靜磯頭閒釣艇,一天明月萬家輝。」
J36nB369_p0937c09赴天華,辭眾,上堂。「欲明今日事,須識古人心;既得古J36nB369_p0937c10人心,何愁今日事?要識古人心麼?」東邊擊拂子,曰:「者J36nB369_p0937c11裏是。要明今日事麼?」西邊擊拂子,曰:「者裏是。果能於J36nB369_p0937c12此克紹得來,居上勤夙夜之心、群下凜奉重之志,恁J36nB369_p0937c13麼則一動一靜,事事合轍;一語一默,句句超宗。貴賤J36nB369_p0937c14尊卑,呼來喝去;天人群生,提上挈下。不用多少氣力,J36nB369_p0937c15若饑便喫飯、渴即飲茶,汝則爽快、我則懷憂,說箇住J36nB369_p0937c16無住相、行無行名,我誠實語,汝不肯信。更有一句子,J36nB369_p0937c17日往月來,心不異緣;此之彼之,理無向背。」復擊拂子,J36nB369_p0937c18曰:「他日歸來向汝道。」
J36nB369_p0937c19顯聖自和尚訃至,上堂。「夜來狂風忽起,萬竹林中散J36nB369_p0937c20木上吹折一枝,主林神驚惶震恐而告于四天下曰:J36nB369_p0937c21『我嘗守護,不妄開示,今正是時。為汝等說,見諸如來J36nB369_p0937c22出世降生、成最正覺、如法化世、入般涅槃,皆如夢中,J36nB369_p0937c23非凡庸所能測也。』恁麼則我顯聖法兄自和尚出生J36nB369_p0937c24成道、坐剎樹幢六十餘年,利生事畢,翛然脫化,如返J36nB369_p0937c25故廬,亦如夢幻,豈常流可以識哉?其尋常行底在諸J36nB369_p0937c26人眼裏、說底在諸人耳裏,不復再言。但末後箇消息J36nB369_p0937c27來,東塔不妨舉似諸人。」豎拂子曰:「會麼?識得春光真J36nB369_p0937c28面目,落紅遍野任紛紛。」
J36nB369_p0937c29至自天華,上堂。「昔去腰裝誠未暇,今歸頂笠可隨緣。J36nB369_p0937c30本懷實意無藏覆,踏雪飛鴻是偶然。雖謂風回千里,J36nB369_p0938a01事共一家,未免所到勞勞,隨處碌碌。但有一事,不可J36nB369_p0938a02不知。且道是甚麼事?」良久,顧左右曰:「堆堆十笏軒中J36nB369_p0938a03坐,舊友相看語笑多。」
J36nB369_p0938a04晚參。「夾竹梅開,寒香遠播。隔林鶯囀,春信密傳。靈利J36nB369_p0938a05漢已知有了,秖是衲僧本分一著,不可認鋀作金。」拈J36nB369_p0938a06起拂子曰,「者箇可是麼?」擊一下曰:「錯。」
J36nB369_p0938a07結春,上堂。「春來古殿,苔自開花。樹老閒庭,鳥無過跡。J36nB369_p0938a08乃一般尊貴家風,偏生受人怨悵。諸方此時放行驢J36nB369_p0938a09腳,五山今日緊捏蛇頭。雖是宛轉隨機,未免謂我扯J36nB369_p0938a10淡。然則道不可以一時展演,法不可以一義宣傳。怨J36nB369_p0938a11悵任人怨悵,扯淡憑我扯淡。既肯相伴寂寥,自合同J36nB369_p0938a12鍋喫飯。鋒芒未兆之事,與諸仁傳箇消息。」卓拄杖,曰:J36nB369_p0938a13「草鞋不踏紅塵路,省得馳求多苦辛。」
J36nB369_p0938a14上堂。「風暖歌謠,月明嘯傲,醉喫官酒,憨臥官街,乃是J36nB369_p0938a15天下太平底景象,通人達士不言可知。秖如無腳鐵J36nB369_p0938a16牛,半夜裏遊行,撞倒前村土地。何故問著十箇,有五J36nB369_p0938a17雙不知?」良久,曰:「野老不知黃屋貴,愛閒豈為古今愁?」
J36nB369_p0938a18上堂。舉:「教中道:『佛身充滿於法界。』諸人行住坐臥,還J36nB369_p0938a19出得釋迦老子鼻孔麼?」眾無語。師代曰:「朝朝夜夜,上J36nB369_p0938a20上下下。」
J36nB369_p0938a21上堂。「若有擔負向上宗乘底出來,我當兩手分付。」良J36nB369_p0938a22久曰:「雖無堪任者,亦不可孤負。」遂以拄杖打趁,歸方J36nB369_p0938a23丈。
J36nB369_p0938a24上堂。「欲明本分一著,須是本分衲僧有浩浩落落底J36nB369_p0938a25心量,自知饑餐渴飲、晝長夜短、愚智如是、古今如是,J36nB369_p0938a26無疑惑也。於一切處無繫縛、無住著、無所求,於一切J36nB369_p0938a27時中無一法可得,始與本分相應。雖然恁麼道,又落J36nB369_p0938a28邊際。畢竟如何?」良久,喝一喝。
J36nB369_p0938a29上堂。「靈雲睹桃,認賊為子。香嚴擊竹,喚奴作郎。青原J36nB369_p0938a30垂足,渾忘大禮尊。俱胝豎指,不道擁書樂。不是心,不J36nB369_p0938b01是佛,不是物,英雄鼎沸長於世,輸卻漁翁一釣竿。」擊J36nB369_p0938b02拂子曰:「若是大丈夫漢,休!休!佛法不在者裏。」
J36nB369_p0938b03佛涅槃日,上堂。「二月十五,日暖風和,梅散千林之玉,J36nB369_p0938b04柳垂兩岸之絲。離家遊子向巷陌村田裏肆意狂歌,J36nB369_p0938b05黃面老人於娑羅雙樹間摩胸告眾。衲僧在長連床J36nB369_p0938b06上窮研極究,千思萬慮,未得出身之路。大眾!要見世J36nB369_p0938b07尊紫磨金色之身麼?山僧有箇方便可與諸人揭示:J36nB369_p0938b08浩蕩春光無覓處,花枝濃澹自年年。」
J36nB369_p0938b09上堂。「向之則觸,背之則離,決無相應之日。若謂一切J36nB369_p0938b10處不分別,有茶喫茶、有飯喫飯,猶是儱侗顢頇。畢竟J36nB369_p0938b11如何是本分一著?」良久,喝曰:「若逢百丈海禪,定是耳J36nB369_p0938b12聾眼黑。」
J36nB369_p0938b13上堂。「所益唯人,能約唯己;一事有違,萬言無當。黃面J36nB369_p0938b14老子以有說攝歸無說、無味捏出有味,四十九年德J36nB369_p0938b15惠如飴,究竟昨日定、今日不定,誤人不少。山僧隨處、J36nB369_p0938b16隨時、隨人、隨意說箇一定之法,眉橫眼上、鼻在口邊,J36nB369_p0938b17知有底人,曉窗紅日伸腳打眠;若不信,大家再摸摸J36nB369_p0938b18看。」
J36nB369_p0938b19上堂。「喫粥了也,洗缽盂去。趙州愛客自多忙,活貓兒J36nB369_p0938b20斬為兩段,南泉論時援故典。東塔者裏,忘形者不嫌J36nB369_p0938b21枯淡,相愛者如親手足,三餐薄粥,一枕高眠。你道是J36nB369_p0938b22為人不為人?」拈拄杖曰:「山僧有三十棒自領了,與諸J36nB369_p0938b23人無分,各請歸堂。」
J36nB369_p0938b24請上堂。「有大法莊嚴,無為福德之門,全無壁落,不屬J36nB369_p0938b25淺深。向此中跨腳得入,舉步便能動眾,開口自然驚J36nB369_p0938b26群,真俗無處分別,聖凡安可親疏?譬如日到中天,高J36nB369_p0938b27山平地咸受照臨,大器小根同承光霽。然此事惟佛J36nB369_p0938b28與佛乃能究盡,尋常人實難湊泊。今日眾居士陳列J36nB369_p0938b29如幻之香饈,供養影響之大眾,山僧於無說處有一J36nB369_p0938b30句說向諸人。」卓拄杖,曰:「如是之事,難中更難。」
J36nB369_p0938c01上堂。「峻極之山,無所不上。莫測之淵,無所不入。視不J36nB369_p0938c02見色,聽不聞聲。逆順是非,輥作一塊。雖有其事,如同J36nB369_p0938c03夢中之事。忽然夢醒了,不可錯認定盤星。」卓拄杖曰:J36nB369_p0938c04「庭花穠豔年年發,堪笑南泉對大夫。」
J36nB369_p0938c05清明,上堂。「日暖風和寒食天,人家祭埽各紛然。村壚J36nB369_p0938c06野店多沽酒,爛醉歸來月滿船。惟有衲僧無所事,清J36nB369_p0938c07茶淡飯,倒臥橫眠。」拈拂子曰:「上根一見,自不在疑。中J36nB369_p0938c08下之機,尚有方便。」擲拂子曰:「人無害虎心,虎無傷人J36nB369_p0938c09意。」
J36nB369_p0938c10晚參。舉:「同安丕和尚看經次,見僧來參,安以衣袖遮J36nB369_p0938c11卻頭,僧近前作弔慰勢,安放下衣袖,提起經曰:『會麼?』J36nB369_p0938c12僧以衣袖遮卻頭,安曰:『蒼天,蒼天。』」師曰:「此則因緣,商J36nB369_p0938c13量者皆言剛腸相若、鐵膽攸同,蓋不知一個偷營、一J36nB369_p0938c14個劫寨,設心處地都是不良,盡向毬場誇好手,面皮J36nB369_p0938c15尺厚不知羞。」
J36nB369_p0938c16上堂:「好景頻移晷,良晨已暮春。野外情無極,此中意J36nB369_p0938c17轉新。祇者裏見得徹,不用一些子本分草料,自然解J36nB369_p0938c18黏去縛。若道大盡三十,小盡二十九,擾擾紛紛,啾啾J36nB369_p0938c19唧唧,忽地撞見達磨時如何?三更紅日上,赤腳唱山J36nB369_p0938c20歌。」
J36nB369_p0938c21解制,上堂。「有時把斷關津,諸人性命在山僧手裏;有J36nB369_p0938c22時大開門路,山僧性命在諸人手裏。而今把住也不J36nB369_p0938c23言、放行也莫論,但時光流電、萬境紛紜,薪無填灶、米J36nB369_p0938c24不充鍋,安危顧慮、緩急持籌,總是門庭邊活計,向上J36nB369_p0938c25事未曾舉著。大眾!要知向上事麼?心殷去路春難挽,J36nB369_p0938c26綠暗深叢鳥喚人。」
