J36nB369_p0929c05山門。「福城東際,大塔廟中。一門深入,千聖從風。」拽杖J36nB369_p0929c06便入。
J36nB369_p0929c07佛殿。「東舍拋梭,西家織錦。是假非真,有銓無準。若欲J36nB369_p0929c08親見如來,不消一哂。」
J36nB369_p0929c09伽藍。「毘贊化元,樞衡中外,所賴同心。鉤簾歸燕,穴紙J36nB369_p0929c10出蠅,不勞著力。」
J36nB369_p0929c11祖師。「靈峰家業、雞岫根基,總被者一隊漢播徙遷流,J36nB369_p0929c12如不改絃易轍,何由再見熙時?」
J36nB369_p0929c13據室。「從上大老向者裏商量有句、無句,傳授大法、小J36nB369_p0929c14法,皆為互相欺誑。新長老且不然。」卓拄杖:「知止致質J36nB369_p0929c15徹,方訪放勿非。」
J36nB369_p0929c16檀護疏。「孔夫子錦心繡口,胡達磨玉髓金精,盡在其J36nB369_p0929c17中,卻有些淆訛處,有煩對眾宣明。」
J36nB369_p0929c18山門疏。「催倦鳥出幽谷,逼生魚入鬧籃。不是家親作J36nB369_p0929c19祟,敢將醜拙播揚。」
J36nB369_p0929c20指法座,曰:「陽春高唱,和者寥寥;巴里興歌,同聲濟濟。J36nB369_p0929c21山僧今日也是隨風轉調去也。」乃陞座,拈J36nB369_p0929c22王臣檀護香畢,復拈曰:「春風裏未許生根,烈日中不J36nB369_p0929c23容長蔓。秘藏則市客驚疑,衒耀則時人怪笑。第三回J36nB369_p0929c24拈出,專為J36nB369_p0929c25傳曹洞正宗二十八世前住武林報恩寺愚菴老和J36nB369_p0929c26尚,以酬法乳。」遂斂衣趺坐。天寧和尚白椎曰:「法筵龍J36nB369_p0929c27象眾,當觀第一義。」師曰:「好箇第一義,被天寧和尚一J36nB369_p0929c28椎擊得粉碎。如有補綴虛空底妙手,出來相見看。」問荅不錄J36nB369_p0929c29乃云:「五十年前,我雲門師翁於福城東大塔廟處說J36nB369_p0929c30一切佛光明照耀法門時,有一句子狼藉在鴛鴦湖J36nB369_p0930a01畔、角里街頭,光踰日月、聲蓋古今,未見有盡心撈摸、J36nB369_p0930a02竭力丕承,致使風磨雲拭、艸蔽苔封。山僧操山陰夜J36nB369_p0930a03棹、拽檇李孤笻,受命而赴、觸熱而來,秖要求一箇向J36nB369_p0930a04石頭路上踏得著時,雖在熱熝熝時,自然遍體清涼;J36nB369_p0930a05或到冷冰冰地,管取通身和暖。自然皇風一片、道合J36nB369_p0930a06君臣、澤被萬方、情無背向,當為稱慶道:『雲門猶有好J36nB369_p0930a07兒孫在。』如其所止,猶在本處。此時天氣炎熱,姑待後J36nB369_p0930a08五日看。」
J36nB369_p0930a09復舉:「青原思和尚因僧問:『如何是佛法大意?』原云:廬J36nB369_p0930a10『陵米作麼價?』」師云:「轉大人劫前之步,弘先民格外之J36nB369_p0930a11懷,青原老祖可謂垂衣裳而治,千載一時。爭奈者僧J36nB369_p0930a12志在竊祿,猶然門外趑趄,要知廬陵米價太遠在。今J36nB369_p0930a13日設有問新東塔:『如何是佛法大意?』但向他道:『暑澹J36nB369_p0930a14東皋三伏雨,涼生北牖一天風。』」結椎,下座。
J36nB369_p0930a15當晚,小參。「秦山鏡水箇閒人,白鳥青猿意始親,彤管J36nB369_p0930a16忽傳天外命,重來鬧市強橫身。固知高提祖印、弘闡J36nB369_p0930a17宗猷,須積功於微塵數劫,能應身於恆河沙界,動靜J36nB369_p0930a18去來等皓月流空、光分眾水,卷舒出沒同白雲出岫、J36nB369_p0930a19影遍千山,或住囂塵大剎、或居葑蔀茅堂,事事廓劫J36nB369_p0930a20外真機、法法揚箇中妙旨,要他類也類他不齊、混也J36nB369_p0930a21混他不得,所以家聲浩大,門庭不致寂寥。山僧道德J36nB369_p0930a22既乏純全、施為絕無巧妙,秖學得箇雕蟲小技,將對J36nB369_p0930a23大眾試之。」遂豎拂子,「新玉板、舊犀椎,木人拍手、野老J36nB369_p0930a24掀眉,短長任意,縱橫吹卓一下,此般風韻少人知。」
J36nB369_p0930a25復舉:「石霜因僧問:『真身還出世也無?』霜曰:『不出世。』僧J36nB369_p0930a26曰:『爭奈真身何?』霜曰:『琉璃瓶子口。』」師曰:「石霜玉壺中J36nB369_p0930a27高歌夜月,閬苑裏坐嘯春風,被者僧輕輕一拶,便乃J36nB369_p0930a28逐煙火於人間,望僊山若天上。雖然,要見石霜也大J36nB369_p0930a29難。何故?石女驚回夢,月明在畫樓。」
J36nB369_p0930a30上堂。「爍石流金,通身白汗。短巷長街,周行踏遍。接官J36nB369_p0930b01亭深為攢眉,奚家橋甚生憂患。福城寶塔誠,迷津蘭J36nB369_p0930b02櫂實。暗室明燈,肯作蹶泥委蚹。山僧今晚提持向上J36nB369_p0930b03風規,要與諸仁同一心眼,同一受用。大家策起眉毛J36nB369_p0930b04看。」遂擊拂子,「以此得入。乘雲不用覓丹梯。」
J36nB369_p0930b05上堂。「默無為以養志,墮在孤峰頂上;語大暢而隨流,J36nB369_p0930b06落在鬧市街頭。若謂語默雙遣,神龍困於寒潭;如曰J36nB369_p0930b07語默全彰,彩鳳縈於金網。山僧有箇倜儻句,舉似大J36nB369_p0930b08眾。」拍禪床,「世間樂事千般美,爭似清閒一味高?」
J36nB369_p0930b09上堂。舉:「盤山曰:『諸禪德可中學道,似地擎山,不知山J36nB369_p0930b10之孤峻;如石含玉,不知玉之無瑕。若如此者,是真出J36nB369_p0930b11家。』」師曰:「盤山恁麼道,有過秦山者,或顧瞻於留連;有J36nB369_p0930b12懷楚壁者,或矜持於利害。其或如是出家,誠謂生死J36nB369_p0930b13流浪。大眾!且道盤山是?東塔是?有檢點得出,實不枉J36nB369_p0930b14披法服;如辯不得,浮雲知逆旅,白日莫蹉跎。」
J36nB369_p0930b15上堂,謝眾檀護齋。豎拂子曰:「此是世出世間一切聖J36nB369_p0930b16人所證底三昧,已拋向諸仁面前了也。惟能達本窮J36nB369_p0930b17源,則知從上門風如杲日昇天,同一照臨;眾流入海,J36nB369_p0930b18同一鹹味。不分貴賤賢愚,說甚涇渭清濁?若也得其J36nB369_p0930b19全體,鬧市紅塵,主賓互換,和光混俗,偏正得宜。整治J36nB369_p0930b20東魯家風,不借別人手腳;斟酌西來大意,肯惜自己J36nB369_p0930b21眉毛。有時帝命傍分,化才密運;有時全真養素,文彩J36nB369_p0930b22不彰。若也顯其大用,把天關捩轉,將大海趯翻,蕩邊J36nB369_p0930b23邪異徑,示中正坦途,縱橫絕跡無私,逆順皆成方便。J36nB369_p0930b24奇特果然奇特,淆訛太煞淆訛,待山僧勘破伊。」擊拂J36nB369_p0930b25子曰:「受囑允在當年,秉衡實惟今日。」
J36nB369_p0930b26白洋朱檀越同自由、洞明、雪照、復古,鏡清寺請上堂。J36nB369_p0930b27「於一毛端現寶王剎,坐微塵裏轉大法輪,我佛世尊J36nB369_p0930b28固是一多無礙、舒卷自由,終於功勳邊著倒。須知盡J36nB369_p0930b29乾坤大地無一物不現寶王剎,盡十方世界無一時J36nB369_p0930b30不轉妙法輪,稱古不必有,論今不必無,所以恂興者J36nB369_p0930c01裏水清似鏡、山翠如屏,蘆花颺白、楓葉成丹,妙寶剎J36nB369_p0930c02境不屬變遷,晚村人語、野艇漁歌,雞鳴月下、犬吠煙J36nB369_p0930c03中,大法輪音曾無生滅。若當人正眼洞明、岸眉照雪,J36nB369_p0930c04分曉無惑,不疑佛、不疑祖,不疑古、不疑今,不疑成、不J36nB369_p0930c05疑壞,能如是,奚待檀那深思遠慮、籌畫經營,然後謂J36nB369_p0930c06輪奐重新、法輪再轉耶?可令釋迦老子滿面慚惶,山J36nB369_p0930c07僧亦通身白汗,敢將餘事謾汝諸仁。」拈柱杖,「寶剎現J36nB369_p0930c08也,還見麼?」卓一下,「法輪轉也,還聞麼?縱使聞見無有J36nB369_p0930c09錯謬,猶是諸仁自謾。何謂?往來成今古,日月自常新。」
J36nB369_p0930c10顯聖埽塔,眾請上堂。「若耶溪把斷要津,涓滴不流;香J36nB369_p0930c11爐峰橫亙太虛,群山落翠。行如來慈,摧怨破敵,以平J36nB369_p0930c12等慧陶聖鑄凡,喝水成冰,法法森嚴,蒸砂作飯,人人J36nB369_p0930c13可飽,非堂頭法兄,安能大暢宗猷、光斯盛業?惟我愚J36nB369_p0930c14菴先老人有一段真實事,誠切醒人,掉在雲門路上,J36nB369_p0930c15未見有據實商量,今到祖翁家裏,對家裏人纔好分J36nB369_p0930c16析。」豎拂子,「從上推此最為尊貴,幾多人紛錯如織,揚J36nB369_p0930c17古路兮匪遙,傾素懷兮促膝。」擊拂子,「此事分明試甄J36nB369_p0930c18別。」
J36nB369_p0930c19上堂。「入院纔方半年,出門忽經四月,歸來細問短長,J36nB369_p0930c20靡不眉毛撕結。所需日用艱難,債負連催累逼,偏愛J36nB369_p0930c21相聚過冬,要合舊規古轍。般般手裏撮空,事事水中J36nB369_p0930c22撈月,因斯徹底思量,露盡生平醜拙。惟有大段關心,J36nB369_p0930c23可對諸仁直說,翻身脫落枕頭,切莫驚人叫屈。喝!」
J36nB369_p0930c24上堂。「昨日雨,今日晴,不容計較,秖要識得自己。饑即J36nB369_p0930c25餐,倦即臥,我當為汝保任此事,終不虛也。」驀豎拂子:J36nB369_p0930c26「者箇是山僧分上底,如何是諸人自己之事?」良久,擊J36nB369_p0930c27拂子,「風冷天寒,不勞久立。」
J36nB369_p0930c28上堂。「商量打七,七期已畢。蚤起晏眠,費盡勞力。人人J36nB369_p0930c29有箇本來面,究竟不識。其實要識也不難。」擲拂子,「慚J36nB369_p0930c30愧不堪言,宋人遇周客。」
J36nB369_p0931a01請監寺、知事、知浴、侍者,上堂。「祖胤繁時,能長能久;宗J36nB369_p0931a02猷奕世,無塞無壅。所賴同心一德者,堪任其重,克耐J36nB369_p0931a03其艱,上下謙和,高低響應。譬如寶印當空,重重顯妙;J36nB369_p0931a04金梭夜織,文彩縱橫。不循名,則名飛剎海;無求譽,則J36nB369_p0931a05譽藹江湖。豈似趙州在東廝頭,呼喚文遠,臭氣薰蒸?J36nB369_p0931a06設要褫剝一切人鶻臭布衫,俾伊襟期裂破,脫體風J36nB369_p0931a07流,必須入水,乃見長人。有者道:『此箇事業,談則容易,J36nB369_p0931a08行實煩難。』據山僧看來,也無易,也無難,弟兄努力忘J36nB369_p0931a09疲猒,自有春風上畫欄。」
J36nB369_p0931a10除夜,小參。「三三一九,四四十六,恁麼道,人人謂從曠J36nB369_p0931a11劫來底事極是分明,毫無錯謬,見聞覺知,天真而妙,J36nB369_p0931a12穿衣喫飯,不用思惟,坐無為床,飲太平酒,其為歡喜J36nB369_p0931a13無量。及乎道三三不是一九,四四亦非十六,箇箇手J36nB369_p0931a14腳忙亂,意識紛馳,蓋因瓢笠孤征,雲山萬里,艸鞋底J36nB369_p0931a15不曾踏著正脈,見人說是亦以為是,見人說非亦以J36nB369_p0931a16為非,故到臘月三十日,顛倒迷昧,觸緒憂愁,向來貪J36nB369_p0931a17得小利,如今大事不成也。然則山僧有箇方便,是也J36nB369_p0931a18無歡喜,不是也無憂愁,又恐諸人不肯聽信,看拄杖J36nB369_p0931a19出來,善能和會。」拈拄杖卓一下,曰:「一言以蔽。」
J36nB369_p0931a20復舉:「長蘆真歇了和尚曰:『處處覓不得,只有一處不J36nB369_p0931a21覓自得。且道是那一處?』良久曰:『賊身已露。』」師曰:「長蘆J36nB369_p0931a22老祖揄揚劫外家風,可謂舉逸民欲使天下歸心。然J36nB369_p0931a23究竟那一處猶屬茫然,不能指示。大眾!要知那一處J36nB369_p0931a24麼?鯨音一吼驚回夢,牆角梅花總是春。」
J36nB369_p0931a25上元,上堂。「纔見賀新年,倏忽元宵節,多時不說禪,舌J36nB369_p0931a26頭硬似鐵。可怪然燈佛,誘人向光影中鷹頭鶻腦東J36nB369_p0931a27湧西沒,長者探頭太過,短者視之不及。山僧素所醞J36nB369_p0931a28藉底,被伊盡情漏洩。且道漏洩箇甚麼?鬧市笙歌夜,J36nB369_p0931a29畫堂月一檐,若是知音者,吾今不再三。」喝一喝。
J36nB369_p0931a30結制,小參。「一向嫌富貴態度,今夜逞冷澹家風,所謂J36nB369_p0931b01內空、外空、倉廩空、鹽醬空,惟有諸人心地不空;心地J36nB369_p0931b02若空,敢保及第而歸,一場富貴。一向說廣大境界,今J36nB369_p0931b03夜談狹小規模,所謂人少、事少、寮舍少、受用少,惟有J36nB369_p0931b04諸人妄想不少;妄想若少,管取馳求頓息,慶快平生。」J36nB369_p0931b05拈拄杖,曰:「拄杖子道:『既為長老,當說佛法,提振綱宗。J36nB369_p0931b06因甚只說閒話?』」卓拄杖,曰:「山僧被拄杖子勘破。」
J36nB369_p0931b07結制,上堂。「日暖芳郊,風和紫陌,福城道岸柳眼垂青,J36nB369_p0931b08村巷竹籬梅花似雪,萬年公子醉舞狂歌,百歲童兒J36nB369_p0931b09快騎竹馬。據實而論,正是窮子未歸,風塵落魄。所以J36nB369_p0931b10東塔灶無傳火之薪、罌無鼠耗之粒,欲開箇陳年冷J36nB369_p0931b11飯舖面,不拘是凡是聖、神來鬼來,總教他高懸缽袋、J36nB369_p0931b12脫卸艸鞋,永歇馳求,頭本不失。雖曰風冷一堂,卻也J36nB369_p0931b13意明千古,其奈東廝頭三三兩兩,浴鍋裏擾擾紛紛,J36nB369_p0931b14訕笑者多,相知者少。試問大眾:笑者笑其何事?知者J36nB369_p0931b15知箇甚麼?」卓拄杖,曰:「驚蟄時到,雷乃發聲。」
J36nB369_p0931b16上堂。「靈雲睹桃花,眼中有眚;香嚴聞擊竹,耳裏無竅。J36nB369_p0931b17東塔遊人作隊,翔翰成群,或夕或朝,自相喧聒。如何J36nB369_p0931b18得恰好去?亭午日高春色暖,衡門笑指畫圖看。」
J36nB369_p0931b19上堂。「天地日月,萬物性情,古無變異,今亦不差。可怪J36nB369_p0931b20當年胡達摩,萬里重溟,九年面壁,好與三十棒。且道J36nB369_p0931b21過在甚麼處?」良久曰:「雨息天無際,風高樹有聲。」
J36nB369_p0931b22上堂。「雜花林裏,日鬧青雞;明月汀前,斜飛白鷺。大家J36nB369_p0931b23識取本來面目,若到一口氣不來,道箇春光無向背,J36nB369_p0931b24花枝任短長,堪作甚麼?」豎拂子,「三世諸佛在拂子頭J36nB369_p0931b25上奮無礙神力,出妙寶音聲,道:『一法諸法宗,諸法一J36nB369_p0931b26法攝,法本不相礙,三際亦復然。既是萬法歸一,究竟J36nB369_p0931b27一歸何處?』」以拂子劃一劃,「苟違斯義,則同衾以疑。」
J36nB369_p0931b28上堂。「二月十五,春光過半。風雨洗天,村歌動地。花明J36nB369_p0931b29曲岸,鳥語深林。機玄曉徑,迥絕今時。句入寒梅,全該J36nB369_p0931b30劫外。率此而知,標格可見。猶有在背地裏冷言冷語J36nB369_p0931c01道:『東塔長老鉗錘不妙、鍛鍊不精,無法為人說,無禪J36nB369_p0931c02與人參,未嘗見其施疾雷閃電之用以啟矇瞶。何也?』」J36nB369_p0931c03喝一喝,曰:「非曠達宏識,不能明見若此。」
J36nB369_p0931c04上堂。舉:「玉泉皓禪師因僧入室次,有狗子在傍,泉叱J36nB369_p0931c05一聲,狗子便去。泉曰:『狗子卻會,你卻不會。』」師曰:「玉泉J36nB369_p0931c06大權柄在掌握,納英靈入彀中,可謂竭盡機思,未免J36nB369_p0931c07無事生事。者僧恰似飽參底人,雖逢御膳而不願餐,J36nB369_p0931c08終是不尷不尬,揀點來總與三十棒。其中利害,三十J36nB369_p0931c09年後有人知在。」
J36nB369_p0931c10上堂。舉:「仰山因僧問:『法身還解說法也無?』仰曰:『我說J36nB369_p0931c11不得,別有一人說得。』僧曰:『說得底人在甚麼處?』仰推J36nB369_p0931c12出枕子。溈山曰:『寂子用劍刃上事。』」師曰:「調高韻古,流J36nB369_p0931c13出胸襟,洋洋之美,無可為喻。若是劍刃上事,仰山直J36nB369_p0931c14是未在。或有問山僧:『法身還解說法否?』亦曰:『我說不J36nB369_p0931c15得,別有一人說得。』『說得底人在甚麼處?』但曰:『五以天J36nB369_p0931c16下讓,漢風所以高世。』」
J36nB369_p0931c17上堂。「正直捨方便,但說無上道。」卓拄杖,「菩薩聞是法,J36nB369_p0931c18疑網皆已除。秖如角里街頭紅塵四合,雙溪橋下綠J36nB369_p0931c19水長流,酒樓上歌聲宛轉,肉店中笑語從容。既無委J36nB369_p0931c20曲,自不疑惑。現前大眾,如何堪任?」擲拄杖,「達人大觀,J36nB369_p0931c21馳驟合度。」
J36nB369_p0931c22晚參。拈拄杖,曰:「者箇說有,執筌失旨;者箇言無,懷寶J36nB369_p0931c23迷邦。若要眾德以之繁廣,諸門由是圓通,有藉大眾J36nB369_p0931c24出來道一句。」良久,曰:「道廣逢人少,村醪見客多。」
J36nB369_p0931c25尼道真、恆修祝師壽,請上堂。「如今者世尊,從生及出J36nB369_p0931c26家,得道轉法輪,亦以方便說。者些艸料非圖造次,羊J36nB369_p0931c27鹿情性大小不同,愚智程途短長有異,我看黃面老J36nB369_p0931c28漢注意設心如是而已。山僧則不然,從生至出家令J36nB369_p0931c29年五十,水際山巔煙雲開斂,春寒夏熱時令不違,饑J36nB369_p0931c30來喫飯、倦則高眠,雖示種種大垂平等,別無長處,何J36nB369_p0932a01可慶?何可讚?獨有發憤奮起者,一櫂修途,不憚驚濤J36nB369_p0932a02險阻,直抵福城,要觀格外繁華、劫前黼黻,豈可以佛J36nB369_p0932a03法當人情?」遂豎拂子,曰:「唯此一事實,餘二則非真。」
J36nB369_p0932a04尼智聞薦母,請上堂。「綠暗紅稀,鳥啼深樹,堂閣洞開,J36nB369_p0932a05曾無障礙。利根猛達之人橫身直入,則眼所見、足所J36nB369_p0932a06履,種種諸法悉是本有。處眾生而業海遷流,生死相J36nB369_p0932a07續,也不曾遺失一毫;在諸佛而法身圓滿,妙用無窮,J36nB369_p0932a08也不曾增益一釐。東塔尋常有一張大口,也解談天J36nB369_p0932a09說地、謾漢欺胡,如今秖堪挂壁,敢復有所指示?有箇J36nB369_p0932a10尼智聞適才問曰:『我母死了燒了,還在裏許受用也J36nB369_p0932a11無?』山僧但拊掌大笑曰:『真人面前莫說假話。』」
J36nB369_p0932a12師誕日,尼淨鼎請上堂。「畫梁上紫燕喃喃,好音在耳;J36nB369_p0932a13叢薄間黃鶯碌碌,實意分明。極靈利漢子都作境會,J36nB369_p0932a14卻言禪可參也、道可悟也,忽春忽夏、或雨或風,長年J36nB369_p0932a15意識紛飛,終日眉頭攢簇,被諸方肯重時,酌東海以J36nB369_p0932a16稱尊、極南山而為敬,謂慶無不宜、始終不改,正眼視J36nB369_p0932a17之,大似無底砂盆,且拈過一邊。山僧父母未生前有J36nB369_p0932a18則奇特,因緣久祕而不輕意告人,今因石門鼎禪精J36nB369_p0932a19勤不捨,再三咨決,是事云何?豈得不盡情說與諸仁?」J36nB369_p0932a20良久,曰:「午上有齋喫,不須叫肚饑。」
J36nB369_p0932a21蔡彼度請上堂。舉:「教中道:『有大智慧人,一念發道心,J36nB369_p0932a22必成無上尊。』不生疑惑者……」豎拂子,曰:「莫不依憑者箇。J36nB369_p0932a23所以三世諸佛憑著者箇,塵剎現身,淺深類應;歷代J36nB369_p0932a24祖師憑著者箇,葉葉傳芳,燈燈相續;天下善知識憑J36nB369_p0932a25著者箇,抽釘拔楔,逆順皆可;衲子憑著者箇,放捨身J36nB369_p0932a26命,隨處得宜;現前居士憑著者箇,安住善根,心無退J36nB369_p0932a27轉;山僧憑著者箇,意不在言,來機亦赴。」擊拂子:「果是J36nB369_p0932a28具大智慧、疑惑不生者,即者箇也無著處。」擲拂子。
J36nB369_p0932a29佛誕,解制,上堂。卓拄杖曰:「其音和雅,眾響克諧。要迭J36nB369_p0932a30唱迭和,悠悠古今。肯向者邊那邊,甘受餿餕氣息。即J36nB369_p0932b01使釋迦老子,不避喪身失命,鑽出頭來說道:『靜而莫J36nB369_p0932b02動纖塵,動則任窮法界。』恐諸仁未必相信。我有微妙J36nB369_p0932b03伽陀,於動於靜無所分別,與你說了。言上天台去,行J36nB369_p0932b04須過五臺。」復卓一下。
J36nB369_p0932b05出隊歸,上堂。「鴛鴦湖邊,無心呼艇去;山陰道上,有伴J36nB369_p0932b06喚舟還。兩月之中,風雨觀人事之幻,跋涉忘苦身之J36nB369_p0932b07勞,說箇生死無常、光陰迅速,汝等已是猒聽。憶過錢J36nB369_p0932b08塘江時,有則奇特因緣舉似大眾:潮平兩岸闊,風正J36nB369_p0932b09一帆懸。」
J36nB369_p0932b10上堂。舉:「曹山因僧侍立,山曰:『今日可殺熱。』曰:『是。秖如J36nB369_p0932b11恁麼熱,向甚麼處迴避?』山曰:『向鑊湯爐炭裏迴避。』曰:J36nB369_p0932b12『鑊湯爐炭裏作麼生迴避?』山曰:『眾苦不能到。』」師曰:「不J36nB369_p0932b13以世界炎涼易其行止,非因境物遷推違其時候,曹J36nB369_p0932b14山家法固可經天緯地、貫徹古今,然就中猶有滲漏J36nB369_p0932b15在。東塔門下又且不然,有問:『鑊湯爐炭裏作麼生迴J36nB369_p0932b16避?』但向他道:『適意自能忘好醜,從來真率見英雄。』」
J36nB369_p0932b17解夏,上堂。「颯颯秋風撼塔鈴,飄飄梧葉墮空庭,試問J36nB369_p0932b18參玄湖海客,由來本分可相應?若相應也,日月不離J36nB369_p0932b19藤笠上,溪山總在艸鞋邊,二六時瀟灑無拘,一切處J36nB369_p0932b20風流自在;其或未得相應,寺橋話別,旅館尋思,途路J36nB369_p0932b21波吒,精神浪費。山僧不惜眉毛為汝註破:生平難就J36nB369_p0932b22緒,兩鬢易成絲。」
J36nB369_p0932b23師誕日,眾弟子送法衣,請上堂。「人人有箇本命元辰,J36nB369_p0932b24各各有片袈裟地面,皆由自己不知下落,迷正信路、J36nB369_p0932b25失妙慧門,故嫌短算者謂時速電光、愛長年者欲壽J36nB369_p0932b26同劫石,簡點來盡屬妄緣,終成隔礙。果有頭腦清楚、J36nB369_p0932b27洞徹源底,春往秋來、飢餐渴飲,動不違時、靜不失候,J36nB369_p0932b28舉措消歸自己、縱橫不墮前塵,乃能金刀細剪裁成J36nB369_p0932b29諸佛乾坤、玉線暗穿緝就列祖榜樣,舒則機機互應、J36nB369_p0932b30法法該羅,卷則千佛無以傳授、群魔不得聞名。若也J36nB369_p0932c01舒卷絕跡、彼此忘形,延促均歸一旨、始終匪越剎那。J36nB369_p0932c02到者裏說箇未離兜率、已降皇宮,未出母胎、度人已J36nB369_p0932c03畢,猶為賸語。」顧左右,曰:「汝等還信得及麼?若信得及,J36nB369_p0932c04我觀久遠猶若今日;如不信,杷柄在山僧手裏再聽J36nB369_p0932c05處分。」豎拂子,曰:「此箇明明無向背,大家俱是舍那身。」
J36nB369_p0932c06受越州東關天華寺請,上堂。「放曠於威音那畔,重自J36nB369_p0932c07己如泰山,太殺尊貴;淋漓於今世門頭,輕諸聖若鴻J36nB369_p0932c08毛,猶為狼藉。據實而論,無非村帘醉客規模,未是衲J36nB369_p0932c09僧全該妙挾。故要擔荷過量事,須得過量人,正偏兼J36nB369_p0932c10到,情謂俱忘,說中無說路、行中無行跡,總千岐而得J36nB369_p0932c11旨、攝一切以歸根。一處明,千處萬處騰輝;一機轉,千J36nB369_p0932c12機萬機相應。如是,則居五山宛在天華,明月在天,隨J36nB369_p0932c13波影現;住天華不異五山,白雲出岫,無意去來。庶使J36nB369_p0932c14祖父家聲綿綿不墜,浮幢剎海面面常新。豈可愚頑J36nB369_p0932c15似某者,言行未出庸流,名實不孚上下?承耆舊檀越J36nB369_p0932c16謬加推獎,恐令明眼以作笑端。既不容辭謝,感與愧J36nB369_p0932c17并,敢向真實人說句真實話。」召專使,曰:「還知真實話J36nB369_p0932c18麼?欲衍嘉猷千載事,同堅鐵石萬年心。」
J36nB369_p0932c19上堂。「夫為長老者,應說些佛法、談些禪道,與諸仁究J36nB369_p0932c20竟大事因緣,豈可長年碌碌、終日皇皇?非孤笻觸熱J36nB369_p0932c21而往,則扁舟載月而歸,不惟孤負諸仁,亦乃埋沒自J36nB369_p0932c22己。當此時也,鴻鴈來賓,豺乃祭獸,菊有黃花,蟄蟲咸J36nB369_p0932c23俯,世出世間法法成就。山僧今夜少閒,因有舊日風J36nB369_p0932c24格,特與諸仁說了。」良久,擊拂子,曰:「斯言不渝。」
J36nB369_p0932c25上堂。「蕭蕭黃葉滿庭,颯颯秋風一陣。觸著毛骨俱寒,J36nB369_p0932c26說與諸人不信。時常冷地思量,實是心焦氣悶。此事J36nB369_p0932c27久不提持,今朝豈復慳吝。」良久,驀喚大眾,眾回首。師J36nB369_p0932c28曰:「汝等若勿生疑,決定自知少分。」
J36nB369_p0932c29結制,小參。「五山無語向人傾,聽說先宗舊典型,生死J36nB369_p0932c30路遙無定止,從今驢腳好消停。所以,過量漢胸中自J36nB369_p0933a01有文武隆平之制,江南塞北無非本地風光,春熱秋J36nB369_p0933a02寒總是現成受用,豈肯觀強弱之形、聽三軍之令,向J36nB369_p0933a03別人面上看氣色冷暖?其或意識奔馳、情緣紛擾,我J36nB369_p0933a04知你到一口氣不來時,一毫不能假借,不若如今七J36nB369_p0933a05尺單頭有箇真實名號,各自記取。」
J36nB369_p0933a06復舉:「德山因雪峰問:『從上宗乘,學人還有分也無?』山J36nB369_p0933a07打一棒曰:『道甚麼?』峰曰:『不會。』明日復上請益,山曰:『我J36nB369_p0933a08宗無語句,實無一法與人。』峰於此有省。丹霞淳和尚J36nB369_p0933a09曰:『德山恁麼道,只知入草求人,不覺通身泥水,只具J36nB369_p0933a10一隻眼。丹霞則不然,我宗有語句,金刀剪不開,深深J36nB369_p0933a11玄妙旨,石女夜懷胎。』」師曰:「仁恕首途,威雄載道,在德J36nB369_p0933a12山無以過也。手握王綱,口含天憲,惟丹霞所能當之。J36nB369_p0933a13然則二大老,一箇說有,一箇說無,終被後人檢點。設J36nB369_p0933a14有問五山:『從上宗乘,學人還有分也無?』但道:『得意當J36nB369_p0933a15年堪一笑,安心此日在三椽。』」
J36nB369_p0933a16結制,上堂。良久,曰:「踏過萬疊雲山,看遍五湖煙景。旅J36nB369_p0933a17亭草店,獨宿高眠;鬧市紅塵,酣歌醉舞。心裏不為是J36nB369_p0933a18非惑亂,境上不為逆順遷移。究竟論之,正是在人家J36nB369_p0933a19屋簷下、墻壁邊,東鑽西撞底功幹。堂奧中有天曉不J36nB369_p0933a20露底風規,未曾窺見。既不辭風雨到五山來,可謂入J36nB369_p0933a21門矣、陞堂矣。要見堂奧中事,有何難哉?」卓拄杖,曰:「九J36nB369_p0933a22旬三箇月,放膽好安心。」
J36nB369_p0933a23上堂。「悟底人,好惡長短,一一分明;迷底人,高低上下,J36nB369_p0933a24頭頭不昧。語不相違,句無向背。此二種人到面前,如J36nB369_p0933a25何分他是迷是悟?分別得出,許你參學眼正。若分別J36nB369_p0933a26不來,山僧謾汝去也。」以如意擊案一下,曰:「樊噲闖鴻J36nB369_p0933a27門。」
J36nB369_p0933a28上堂。「樹密鳥聲和,夜清月色好。達磨會不來,面壁空J36nB369_p0933a29懊惱。諸人如會得,隨意村醪飲一杯。若理會不來,謫J36nB369_p0933a30僊去後相知少。」喝一喝。
J36nB369_p0933b01上堂。「一口氣不來,向甚麼處去?極是十分好語,聽者J36nB369_p0933b02如風過耳。秖問你:即今在甚麼處?或有承當底,出來J36nB369_p0933b03將錯就錯,其奈五山未肯點頭在。何故?千里未雄鴻J36nB369_p0933b04鵠志,一枝喜托是鷦鷯。」
J36nB369_p0933b05上堂。舉:「投子青禪師因僧問:『師唱誰家曲?宗風嗣阿J36nB369_p0933b06誰?』子曰:『威音前一箭,射透兩重山。』僧曰:『相傳底事如J36nB369_p0933b07何?』子曰:『全因淮地月,得照郢陽春。』僧曰:『恁麼則入水J36nB369_p0933b08見長人也。』子曰:『只知荊玉異,那辨楚王心?』僧禮拜,子J36nB369_p0933b09以拂擊之。」師曰:「展托先猷,恢彰舊業,投子和尚當不J36nB369_p0933b10後達摩開疆少室、衍祚新豐,綿綿若此。但相傳底事,J36nB369_p0933b11恐者僧鹵莽承當,似無轉變。山僧今夜分疏不來,明J36nB369_p0933b12日為眾說破。」
J36nB369_p0933b13上堂。「風霜操其常柄,毀譽任其眾言,笑古人之未能,J36nB369_p0933b14忘自己之無猒。此山僧三十年前親證法門,今日舉J36nB369_p0933b15似大眾。」拍案一下,曰:「但自歇狂,莫從他覓。」
J36nB369_p0933b16上堂。「釋迦已過去也,何必追思?彌勒猶未來也,不消J36nB369_p0933b17預慕。正當今日,汝等有智者,切勿生餘疑。且道不疑J36nB369_p0933b18箇甚麼?我是英雄大丈夫。」
J36nB369_p0933b19上堂。「終日穿衣,不曾挂著寸絲,是凍不殺底樣子;終J36nB369_p0933b20日喫飯,不曾嚼著粒米,是餓不死底規模。大丈夫不J36nB369_p0933b21由也。試問諸人:如何是大丈夫事?樂意風塵似故園,J36nB369_p0933b22江鴻不必傳消息。」
J36nB369_p0933b23上堂。舉:「僧問雲門:『學人正在迷途,請師一接。』門曰:『道J36nB369_p0933b24甚麼?』」師曰:「雲門披籬撤棘,示以坦途,可謂為人徹困,J36nB369_p0933b25看來猶欠一著在。者僧識路茫茫,雖受恩,恐未能存J36nB369_p0933b26心於必報。設問山僧:『學人正在迷途,請師一接。』向他J36nB369_p0933b27道:『不接。』『為甚麼不接?』『我若接汝,則東西南北去也。』者J36nB369_p0933b28僧果是箇知恩達本底,自然平步康莊。山僧恁麼道,J36nB369_p0933b29也欠一著在。有人簡點得出,許他參學眼正;若簡點J36nB369_p0933b30不出,朔風正寒,不勞久立。」
J36nB369_p0933c01上堂。「山門頭事,我先分付了也;僧堂裏事,汝已知有J36nB369_p0933c02了也。十二時中事若何?如商量不下,待山僧為汝指J36nB369_p0933c03出。」橫拄杖,以手度,曰:「恰好七尺。」
J36nB369_p0933c04上堂。舉:「曹山因僧問:『學人通身是病,請師醫。』山曰:『不J36nB369_p0933c05醫。』僧曰:『為甚麼不醫?』山曰:『教汝求生不得、求死不得。』」J36nB369_p0933c06師曰:「曹山固有驚人之術,且無絕病之丹。若是山僧,J36nB369_p0933c07待他問:『學人通身是病,請師醫。』不妨道:『近前來與汝J36nB369_p0933c08診候。』看他動靜,便好與本分湯頭。敢保者僧出身白J36nB369_p0933c09汗,輕快生平。雖然,山僧恁麼道,也是對證施方、應病J36nB369_p0933c10與藥。要見極靈捷效者……」卓拄杖,曰:「庶幾其人歟!」
J36nB369_p0933c11上堂。「錦繡纏於胸中,絲綸舒於掌上。奉重一人,高低J36nB369_p0933c12應制;權分多士,上下和平。寶鏡堂前,調無絃之瑟;福J36nB369_p0933c13城道上,響白雪之歌。到者裏,見得世尊拈起底分明J36nB369_p0933c14無惑,達摩直指底徹底不疑,也只許汝一半。若是那J36nB369_p0933c15一半,明日看。」
J36nB369_p0933c16上堂。「三世諸佛,順水行船。歷代祖師,隨風轉舵。天下J36nB369_p0933c17老和尚,沙裏尋油,水中取火。五山門下,描不成,畫不J36nB369_p0933c18就,勿妄宣傳。諸人必有摩天之氣,動地之雄。出來試J36nB369_p0933c19箇手段。」良久,顧左右曰:「三千去後今誰是?」
J36nB369_p0933c20上堂。舉:「廬山化城鑑禪師因僧問:『如何是和尚家風?』J36nB369_p0933c21鑑曰:『不欲說似人。』僧曰:『為甚卻如此?』鑑曰:『家醜不外J36nB369_p0933c22揚。』」師曰:「有事不言,貪榮惡辱。蓋化城器量未廣大也。J36nB369_p0933c23五山家風,設遇其人,好醜盡情播揚,絲毫不敢隱覆。J36nB369_p0933c24為甚卻如此?總要一切人知有。且道化城是?五山是?J36nB369_p0933c25出來說得有來由,拄杖子自有賞罰。」
J36nB369_p0933c26上堂。「錦袍玉食時人所好,垢面髼頭時人所惡,是世J36nB369_p0933c27間人背寒向暖底意況。致身鬧市不為喧,縱步孤峰J36nB369_p0933c28不為靜,乃林下人隨腔換調底情懷。衲僧家都道:『我J36nB369_p0933c29行履處一切是了。』山僧卻言:『不是。』」拈拄杖:「君不見,鄰J36nB369_p0933c30炊暮煙歇,霜月四檐清。」卓一下。
J36nB369_p0934a01上堂。「棒頭上,天迴地轉;一喝下,電卷星馳。德山、臨濟J36nB369_p0934a02慚皇殺人,向棒喝未施已前開得隻眼,不獨四方決J36nB369_p0934a03擇之志以酬,亦見少室高風未至寂寥。然則五山門J36nB369_p0934a04下放過則不可。」卓拄杖,喝一喝,下座。
J36nB369_p0934a05上堂。「中人以上,可以語上也。英俊若聞,便應洗耳。中J36nB369_p0934a06人以下,不可以語上也。老婆舌頭,好說上下。孔夫子J36nB369_p0934a07且請過一邊。五山者裏,中人以上者也,與三十棒。中J36nB369_p0934a08人以下者也,與三十棒。何故?欲寬待人之禮,必無是J36nB369_p0934a09己之心。」
J36nB369_p0934a10上堂。「嚴師之教,誨敕丁寧;善友之仁,愛助深厚。無非J36nB369_p0934a11口傳秘訣,耳度清風。其或東舍拋梭,西鄰織錦,不露J36nB369_p0934a12絲頭,全彰文彩,尤是幻色虛聲,濟得何事?要生死根J36nB369_p0934a13前真實受用,惟有一句子最親切。且道是那一句?」以J36nB369_p0934a14拄杖打趁。
J36nB369_p0934a15上堂。「耕織不失其時,溫飽有望。為學能決其志,妙道J36nB369_p0934a16可臻。據明眼衲僧看來,正是迷悟分疆、雨晴列界,俱J36nB369_p0934a17墮功勳。如欲大方獨步,變化無窮,須知更有尊貴一J36nB369_p0934a18路。大眾!要知尊貴一路麼?」良久,豎拂子曰:「木童吹笛J36nB369_p0934a19慵開口,石女臨風懶畫眉。」
J36nB369_p0934a20上堂。「從上家猷,昭烈千古。類之不齊,混之不得。誰肯J36nB369_p0934a21鉤章棘句,獻巧爭奇,刓方為圓,將高就下,喪自己心,J36nB369_p0934a22瞎將來眼。然而三七功成,無可給賞。我記黃面老人J36nB369_p0934a23做底古風詩中間一聯最好,借來贈諸仁作犒勞人J36nB369_p0934a24事。」豎拂子,「願以此功德,普及於一切。」遂擲拂子。
J36nB369_p0934a25上堂。「有口談何事,閒多瞌睡濃。黃虀飯飽後,茶喫兩J36nB369_p0934a26三鍾。若是箇人,在者裏具得隻眼。」良久曰:「笑殺當年J36nB369_p0934a27缺齒翁。」
J36nB369_p0934a28上堂。「是法甚深奧,少有能信者。老釋迦所談,傲睨天J36nB369_p0934a29下,輕視後人,全不知日照中天,孰能蔽之?五山從來J36nB369_p0934a30不作幽隱不耀之事。」驀拈拄杖曰:「是法本現成,那箇J36nB369_p0934b01不信者?」卓一下曰:「英謨尚在。」
J36nB369_p0934b02上堂。以拂子打○相,曰:「彷彿簸箕,依俙木杓。若謂菱J36nB369_p0934b03花,都來是錯。無底缽盂形不同,穿心碗子名難著。分J36nB369_p0934b04明與麼道,會得會不得?再聽下箇註腳:人貪玉兔撈J36nB369_p0934b05滄海,誰信銀蟾在碧天?」復打○相,下座。
