J36nB369_p0939a04上堂。維那白椎竟,師曰:「先哲得以表章,後賢賴以模J36nB369_p0939a05範。只恐當世衲子視之惑於流俗,再勞維那註破。」結J36nB369_p0939a06椎曰:「諦觀法王法,法王法如是。」便下座。
J36nB369_p0939a07上堂。「昨日定,今日不定,黃面老子已曾道過了。而今J36nB369_p0939a08更為釘樁搖櫓,豈有是哉?」喝一喝。
J36nB369_p0939a09晚參。「一向不為事繁,便是出路。如來禪、祖師意皆棄J36nB369_p0939a10置而不提,無益而深思,枉勞而日悵,豈不慚惶煞人?J36nB369_p0939a11秖如碧蘆灣裏白鷺齊飛,黃葉樹頭流鶯其語,作境J36nB369_p0939a12會者領過一邊,有不將境會底,作箇甚麼眼目?」良久,J36nB369_p0939a13顧左右:設有,也是官驛裏撮馬糞漢。
J36nB369_p0939a14萬佛懺會,程美如檀越請上堂。「薰風乍動,夏日初長,J36nB369_p0939a15綠遍荒郊,紅飛原野。竹引新兒,盡展擎霄之手;梅多J36nB369_p0939a16青子,各懷調鼎之心。明明是大解脫門、妙莊嚴路,幾J36nB369_p0939a17多人把手拽伊不肯入?若是知有底,於無量千萬佛J36nB369_p0939a18所種諸善根者,發一言,千門交應;施一機,萬法咸歸。J36nB369_p0939a19或瞻或禮,無非劫外遠猷;一讚一揚,盡是目前要務。J36nB369_p0939a20無所不投,無所不契。就中秖有一端,釋迦曾拈拈不J36nB369_p0939a21出,達磨直指指不清。從上大老窮玄極妙,未稱全提。J36nB369_p0939a22今日美如檀越特請山僧舉揚,說箇甚麼即得?」卓拄J36nB369_p0939a23杖曰:「福城有路原非遠,信入何曾隔一塵?」
J36nB369_p0939a24弁山且拙和尚訃至,上堂。「為達磨兒孫者,適太平時,J36nB369_p0939a25受清閒福,坐安樂窩,說自在話,靡不爽心快意。及乎J36nB369_p0939a26迷惑海中翻卻濟度蘭舟,無明路上失卻光明寶炬,J36nB369_p0939a27有幾人擔憂顧慮?惟我弁山且和尚,百丈克家子也,J36nB369_p0939a28雲門超逸孫也。義山闢草,隱顯全該;蒼弁揚旗,正偏J36nB369_p0939a29兼到。頑鐵成金,大煩陶鑄;三草二木,總屬化機。原從J36nB369_p0939a30上正大之宗,風馳雷震;辨此中欺罔之謬,日麗星明。J36nB369_p0939b01垂一令,必存同體之念;行一事,深抱法門之憂。山僧J36nB369_p0939b02以平日所見所聞、或談或論,莫不以法道為身心、以J36nB369_p0939b03祖宗為性命,所作已辦,更為諸人末後全提了也,可J36nB369_p0939b04謂吳江楚水釣盡金鱗,收拾綸竿應去而去,尚肯循J36nB369_p0939b05情留念。然則東塔今日長歎興哀又為箇甚麼?」良久,J36nB369_p0939b06顧眾曰:「時當祖道臨秋晚,相對無人話寂寥。」
J36nB369_p0939b07俞伯英追遠,請上堂。「楓垂丹葉,菊綻黃花,煙浮隔樹,J36nB369_p0939b08鷺起鄰汀。此一段事,靈山密付底、少林直指底,事同J36nB369_p0939b09一家,理無二致,人人有分,法法無遺。所以,三世諸佛J36nB369_p0939b10以之成道利生、歷代祖師以之全機大用、一切眾生J36nB369_p0939b11以之受生變滅、一切異類以之托化超淪,以至昆蟲J36nB369_p0939b12草木、品類有情靡不承此尊貴之力,無處不樂太平J36nB369_p0939b13之音。然則,在諸佛為正遍知、在眾生號性顛倒,其故J36nB369_p0939b14何也?只緣妄情忽起,迷失本源,生不知來、死不知去,J36nB369_p0939b15枉受輪轉,無休息時。」豎拂子,「向者裏搆去,人人腳跟J36nB369_p0939b16下有一條通霄大路從此踏開,天上天下、自西自東,J36nB369_p0939b17不怖不疑、無拘無束,伶俜莫作天涯客,大夢醒來心J36nB369_p0939b18自安。」
J36nB369_p0939b19上堂。「諸佛大猷,隨機應現。黃葉止啼,一時方便。老胡J36nB369_p0939b20心性欠融通,九載少林向壁看。」喝一喝:「饒君做造千J36nB369_p0939b21般,到底無過是麵。」
J36nB369_p0939b22隱道晴雲和尚訃至,上堂。「妙覺兩三載,滴水成冰;鳳J36nB369_p0939b23山二十年,坐聽啼鳥。溪深杓柄長,不行今時路;鋤頭J36nB369_p0939b24三斤鐵,自得古人心。月排夜景,賓主歷然;煙鎖層巒,J36nB369_p0939b25正偏不立。秋林有語,讀者攢眉;出岫無心,孰不仰羨?J36nB369_p0939b26忽傳箇消息來,謂已唱還鄉曲子,雖是公案已完、能J36nB369_p0939b27事畢矣,然未免鴈行落落、清淚潸潸也。大眾!到者裏J36nB369_p0939b28說箇全放全收,不異啞人猜謎;若言幻生幻滅,還同J36nB369_p0939b29客夢頻遷。且鳳山和尚端的在甚麼處?」良久,曰:「羚羊J36nB369_p0939b30蹤跡難尋覓,枉使波旬笑一場。」
J36nB369_p0939c01上堂。豎拂子:「恁麼來者,清響協滄浪之調;不恁麼者,J36nB369_p0939c02高明朗太虛之輝。恁麼不恁麼,兩頭截斷,正是朝而J36nB369_p0939c03不莫,寐者未覺。如何道得恰好句?」擊拂子,「也勝普化J36nB369_p0939c04搖鈴鐸。」
J36nB369_p0939c05上堂。「人人為生死大事不了,冰懷雪意,越國揚州,千J36nB369_p0939c06山啼鳥不敢聽著,一路明霞無暇看著,向無門戶處J36nB369_p0939c07拌命挨入。若不從者裏討箇明白,終為世笑,是以氣J36nB369_p0939c08憤憤。東塔雖則開門,七事一無所有,勉設筵席,盪青J36nB369_p0939c09原酒、點趙州茶,大家飲一杯、喫兩醆,聽石女高歌、看J36nB369_p0939c10木人起舞,忽地摸著眉毛,不可大驚小怪。何故?原是J36nB369_p0939c11自家本有底。」
J36nB369_p0939c12上堂。舉:「九峰因僧問:『如何是學人自己?』峰曰:『更問阿J36nB369_p0939c13誰?』僧曰:『便恁麼承當時如何?』峰曰:『須彌頭更戴須彌。』」J36nB369_p0939c14師頌曰:「天涯作客未常閒,白首寧親此日還?攢蔟家J36nB369_p0939c15筵銷旅夢,相看盡是舊容顏。」
J36nB369_p0939c16上堂:「客身盡向愁中老,人事都從夢裏看。在世諦固J36nB369_p0939c17有此事,我衲僧家青菜白飯喫飽了,長連床上伸腳J36nB369_p0939c18打眠,極是快活,有甚麼愁?佛殿前踞坐,僧堂裏閒話,J36nB369_p0939c19逢熟識底殷勤意況,見面生者平淡情懷,天翻地覆J36nB369_p0939c20一總不管,千真萬真何嘗是夢?但悠悠之徒未可與J36nB369_p0939c21言。」拈拄杖:「是此等人則能信解。」
J36nB369_p0939c22上堂。「父母未生前,月中兔子拜南辰;父母已生後,水J36nB369_p0939c23底獺兒祭北斗。大眾!要識本來面目麼?波斯騎馬夜J36nB369_p0939c24吹簫。」
J36nB369_p0939c25上堂。「無始時來,一貧如洗,六為賊媒,劫其家寶,撞著J36nB369_p0939c26石敢當,連贓拏獲。前村土地聞得,不勝歡喜,急忙到J36nB369_p0939c27東塔堂中,高聲叫曰:『你者一隊禪和子,不用愁,何必J36nB369_p0939c28惱?賊已拏了,贓已獲了,知得便了。』拄杖子聽見,劈頭J36nB369_p0939c29打曰:『知箇甚麼?』他無語,懡㦬而退。大眾!畢竟知箇甚J36nB369_p0939c30麼?賊是親家。」
J36nB369_p0940a01上堂。「盡大地是衲僧行徑,因甚出身無路?曠劫來事J36nB369_p0940a02不隔纖塵,何故摸不著?達磨西來,別無意思,唯要人J36nB369_p0940a03了卻自己。且道自己作麼生了?此三句,有人透得者,J36nB369_p0940a04鐵壁銀山,七穿八穴,寤寐風雲,唯資英傑。」
J36nB369_p0940a05上堂。「劍刃上行,八面玲瓏。針眼裏坐,十分俊俏。看來J36nB369_p0940a06也是平常伎倆,衲僧親切處道將來。」良久,顧左右:「有J36nB369_p0940a07眼如盲,有耳如聾。」
J36nB369_p0940a08上堂。舉:「九峰因僧問:『十二時中如何合道?』峰曰:『無心J36nB369_p0940a09合道。』僧曰:『畢竟如何?』峰曰:『土上覓泥猶自可,波中求J36nB369_p0940a10水實堪憐。』」師頌曰:「輕言合道貴無心,餉午茶煙透竹J36nB369_p0940a11林。切訝故人深在望,野雲風雨到如今。」
J36nB369_p0940a12上堂。「見鞭影而行,未為良馬;一撥便轉,豈是伶俐人?J36nB369_p0940a13黃梅盧行者,勤勞踏碓,到底不會。諸人點胸點肋,自J36nB369_p0940a14謂是了,恐是玄沙道底。山僧為他閒事,動起無明,不J36nB369_p0940a15是不揣身退,堪憐老未能喝。」
J36nB369_p0940a16上堂。「讀古人未見之書,聞古人希有之事,不自知手J36nB369_p0940a17舞足蹈,技癢難忍。山僧敢為諸人通之:不是心,不是J36nB369_p0940a18佛,不是物,是箇甚麼?」卓拄杖,「夜來吹玉笛,曉徑落梅J36nB369_p0940a19花。」
J36nB369_p0940a20上堂。「有時垂一言,是非競起;有時施一默,好惡不分。J36nB369_p0940a21總在葛藤窩裏弄伎倆,坑陷人。山僧有箇出格句子J36nB369_p0940a22與諸人道了。」乃擲拄杖,下座。
J36nB369_p0940a23上堂。「識得一,萬事齊休。達其源,本懷大暢。」拈拄杖曰:J36nB369_p0940a24「芻狗一吠,野店先開。金雞三號,夜船到岸。」卓拄杖,「故J36nB369_p0940a25家風景原無變。」
J36nB369_p0940a26上堂。「不會禪道,罔知祖意。聽板喫飯,閉門憨睡。若要J36nB369_p0940a27此事相應,須到者般田地。喝!真誠不是小兒戲。」
J36nB369_p0940a28上堂。「仙人洞口喚,好隨巖上行。隔花聞鳳吹,此意幾J36nB369_p0940a29人明。到者裏忘物我,無得喪,分不得,類不齊,始可言J36nB369_p0940a30得閒便是樂,何必問長生。」
J36nB369_p0940b01上堂。「多方馳求,絕無形跡。忽然放下,觸處相逢。破草J36nB369_p0940b02鞋不著最快活,十文錢買一升白米煮飯,吃飽了高J36nB369_p0940b03枕無憂。山僧要問你:臥單子下失卻針筒帽樣,尋見J36nB369_p0940b04也未?」拍案一下。
J36nB369_p0940b05上堂。「從上佛祖臂酸手軟,天下大老膽小心寒,未曾J36nB369_p0940b06動著此事。今日山僧全身拌捨,要與諸人說箇清楚。」J36nB369_p0940b07驀伸手曰:「還我二七日飯錢來。」良久,以竹篦打趁。
J36nB369_p0940b08上堂。「好事未必多成,好話不在多說。山僧有一句子J36nB369_p0940b09最為緊要,大家聽了。」喝一喝,「大事替你不得,小事各J36nB369_p0940b10自料理。」
J36nB369_p0940b11上堂。「本分一著極是省要,豈可卜度猜疑、零碎攢湊J36nB369_p0940b12以為正經?如十月時大雨連綿,簷聲不斷,村莊人不J36nB369_p0940b13得稻子登場,切實愁悶;富貴人不得租米到家,為之J36nB369_p0940b14興歎,臥不安枕、食不下咽。或一日清晨起來開門,舉J36nB369_p0940b15頭看見紅日,懷抱疑情豁然脫落,遂躍然喜曰:『是了,J36nB369_p0940b16是了。』雖則恁麼,與本分事尚隔遠,未有喫拄杖子分J36nB369_p0940b17在。何故?仙子相攜一路行,大還丹在三山外。」
J36nB369_p0940b18上堂。「尊不在聖,卑不在凡。遠不在曠劫,近不在今時。」J36nB369_p0940b19喝一喝:「且道是尊是卑?是劫外是今時?若不會,故人J36nB369_p0940b20相見少,應簡舊來書。」復喝一喝:
J36nB369_p0940b21上堂。「魯祖面壁,拙裏衒奇;俱胝豎指,險中弄巧。胡達J36nB369_p0940b22磨望我震旦有大乘人,跋涉遠來,本欲攛行奪市,豈J36nB369_p0940b23知此土牙家不容插入,打落當門齒。東塔從來不理J36nB369_p0940b24舊事,現前事畢竟如何?」顧左右曰:「你們都是在行人,J36nB369_p0940b25不必說了。歸堂喫茶。」
J36nB369_p0940b26上堂。「東塔一味平常過日,無有佛法與人說得,眾中J36nB369_p0940b27大有不甘者。秪如春雨連宵,簷聲不斷,還有趣向也J36nB369_p0940b28無?若有,雨點子與你道箇甚麼?若無,古人猶道:『一切J36nB369_p0940b29聲是佛聲。』有人道得諦當,喫粥、喫飯,易地皆然。」良久:J36nB369_p0940b30「不然,則山僧罪過。」
J36nB369_p0940c01上堂。「我若舉揚向上宗乘,法堂前草深一丈。古人與J36nB369_p0940c02麼說話,秖管暢自本懷,不顧傍人冷笑。山僧不惜眉J36nB369_p0940c03毛,別露箇消息。」卓拄杖,「谷底春雷輕吼動,莫愁天下J36nB369_p0940c04不聞聲。」
J36nB369_p0940c05尼悟禪五十生日,徒智覺請上堂。尼問:「知有底,穿衣J36nB369_p0940c06喫飯;不知有也,穿衣喫飯。未審如何甄別?」師曰:「退後J36nB369_p0940c07緩緩斟酌。」進曰:「如此轉見淆訛。」師一喝,尼擬議,師曰:J36nB369_p0940c08「翻卻閒棋局,笑倒爛柯人。」乃曰:「千聖頂𩕳上一著,刀J36nB369_p0940c09劈不開、風吹不壞,直下便是,擬議不堪。東塔拄杖子J36nB369_p0940c10箝口多時,智者相諳,餘者罔測。因太平覺上人為本J36nB369_p0940c11師初度開筵,要發明諸佛秘藏,不惜露箇消息。」卓拄J36nB369_p0940c12杖:「者裏搆得去,父母未生前,固知乾坤難老;父母既J36nB369_p0940c13生後,更看歲月長春。施一機,正偏無異路;垂一句,隱J36nB369_p0940c14顯非別時。猶天鼓聲,悉隨諸天所知之量一一遍應。J36nB369_p0940c15秖如子湖要打劉鐵磨,諸人知否?閒將仙曲和雲奏,J36nB369_p0940c16太古希音滿世間。」
J36nB369_p0940c17上堂。「釋迦未解髻珠,咸知照明日月。達磨未傳心印,J36nB369_p0940c18朔望亦自有時。日用頭邊有一句語不落功勳,道得J36nB369_p0940c19著時,如天馬橫行,佛祖不讓,非止踏殺天下英雄而J36nB369_p0940c20已。你道是甚麼句?」良久:「四月清和,好生記取。嫩綠成J36nB369_p0940c21陰,繁紅如綺,又是一番桃李。參!」
J36nB369_p0940c22上堂。「夏日已盡,秋風徐來。光陰荏苒,大事未明。得失J36nB369_p0940c23馳情,是非留念。默則沈埋劫外,說則流浪今時。衲僧J36nB369_p0940c24家如何稱得生平意?」拈拄杖曰:「總不如拄杖子,靜不J36nB369_p0940c25沈埋那畔,動不流浪今時。橫遍一切處,豎該一切時。J36nB369_p0940c26要默即默,要說即說。譬如大海,乃至蚊虻及阿修羅,J36nB369_p0940c27飲其水者,皆得充滿。若英特之士,沾著些子,和心嘔J36nB369_p0940c28出。以要言之……」橫拄杖曰:「如是恰好。」
J36nB369_p0940c29晚參。舉:「黃龍贊禪師問僧:『甚處來?』曰:『香林。』龍曰:『在彼J36nB369_p0940c30住幾時?』曰:『六年。』龍曰:『世尊在雪山六年成無上道,汝J36nB369_p0941a01在香林六年成箇甚麼?』僧無語,龍曰:『移廚喫飯漢。』」師J36nB369_p0941a02曰:「者僧一味本分,故受黃龍籠罩;黃龍百般妙用,卻J36nB369_p0941a03被者僧勘破。當時者僧若是箇漢,待道:『在彼六年成J36nB369_p0941a04箇甚麼?』但曰:『芻狗吠時天未曉,鐵牛奔吼意常閒。』不J36nB369_p0941a05然,以坐具劈面便摵。乃見衲僧家捋虎鬚也是本分,J36nB369_p0941a06敢保黃龍拄杖子定有分付。東塔如此批判,還得麼?J36nB369_p0941a07喝!」
J36nB369_p0941a08上堂。「擊動竹子香嚴,合郢調以陽春;開著桃花靈雲,J36nB369_p0941a09快太平之風日。東塔門前鴉鳴鵲噪,從朝至暮無有J36nB369_p0941a10間歇,可謂為人徹矣,不見有箇塞斷耳根意在。何也?J36nB369_p0941a11不飲從他酒價高。」
J36nB369_p0941a12南山天愚和尚訃至,上堂。「夫宗師家提唱宗乘,激揚J36nB369_p0941a13大事,彼乎?此乎?無異、無同;鑽之、仰之,有偏、有正。若參J36nB369_p0941a14學道流無參學眼,逢甜脣美舌,群然趨附;見嚴聲厲J36nB369_p0941a15色,恝然舍離。要箇知好惡、明去就,全身荷負而不愧J36nB369_p0941a16者,難得也。須知南山和尚與山僧參同百城、道同石J36nB369_p0941a17頭、調同雲門、住同西浙,間有不同處者,其恢張古剎,J36nB369_p0941a18老而益堅,為法求賢,爐錘神妙,道光德色馳耀域中,J36nB369_p0941a19嗣胤化籌彌盈室內,掀翻劫外條章,屏疊今時齷齪,J36nB369_p0941a20一副實心冷面,正堪時流榜樣。豈料先我著鞭,調孤J36nB369_p0941a21韻寡,後進初登,何棲何泊?所以幽衷耿耿,淚下霏霏。J36nB369_p0941a22哀哀!蘆汀月皎舟橫渡,再棹知來是幾時?」
J36nB369_p0941a23能休和尚同屠鼎臣、包望蘭、三牌樓眾檀越請上堂。J36nB369_p0941a24豎拂子,「即此老釋迦橫說豎說,不曾說得清楚;胡達J36nB369_p0941a25磨直指曲指,不曾指得著落;天下宗匠全提半提,不J36nB369_p0941a26曾提得妥當;衲僧家東訪西訪,不曾訪得端正。惟許J36nB369_p0941a27當人夙有光明種子,一旦煥然發現,即同本得,便向J36nB369_p0941a28紅塵堆裏顯妙神通,鬧市頭邊作大佛事,寶印不彰,J36nB369_p0941a29文彩全露,方圓任器,宛轉隨機,古來已是稱尊,今時J36nB369_p0941a30亦以為貴,故如眾河水流入海中,盡同一味,頓亡異J36nB369_p0941b01相。蓋我一指法姪能公不愛親情,只愛大丈夫漢,為J36nB369_p0941b02大丈夫事跨入門來,要一彈指頃大事了畢,致東塔J36nB369_p0941b03慶讚不及,但做得箇無麵餅子,略見主賓,禮云穆穆。」J36nB369_p0941b04以拂子畫○曰:「佛之心,儒之髓,安於家,出於世,莫言J36nB369_p0941b05此箇非憑據。」
J36nB369_p0941b06先愚庵和尚十周忌日,高閒大師恭爾知客,請上堂。J36nB369_p0941b07「隨緣應用,猶珠在掌;順機出沒,如月印川。惟尊貴人J36nB369_p0941b08行奇特事,若坐守寒嚴,不動本位,喫現成飯,說自在J36nB369_p0941b09話,何以仰模慈烈?所謂欲激揚斯大事者,須是超情J36nB369_p0941b10絕謂之人,唱和同風,尊卑一體,針鋒頭上開無邊世J36nB369_p0941b11界,藕絲孔裏立百億乾坤,元氣賴於滋培,正宗得以J36nB369_p0941b12丕顯,法乳可酬,知恩有在。雖然,此是東塔家常禮數,J36nB369_p0941b13且拈過一邊。何故?或親見老人過底,不待叮嚀自點J36nB369_p0941b14頭。」
J36nB369_p0941b15法華懺滿,謝眾。胡飛濤居士、白蓮止飾師、元在知藏,J36nB369_p0941b16同請上堂。「種得善根深,逢塵塵不侵,非因塵不染,自J36nB369_p0941b17是我無心。古人恁麼道,大是富厚有餘,受用無匱,適J36nB369_p0941b18當昇平之時,故有純禧之象。若祖師意未夢見,在東J36nB369_p0941b19塔門下道流藉藉、檀越彬彬,到福城者盡是有心,所J36nB369_p0941b20以得披君子之風,兼被眾師之德,念念無滯,皆是法J36nB369_p0941b21華三昧;步步超蹤,莫非普賢行徑。橫三豎四,機機相J36nB369_p0941b22副,撞頭𢾩額,法法全該,雖則隙駒電影,卻也浪靜風J36nB369_p0941b23恬。道本彌近彌親,誼在無窮無盡,要見始終貫徹,敢J36nB369_p0941b24不輸情一縷?」遂豎拂子,「木童拍手唱高山,石女含笙J36nB369_p0941b25和流水,知音若問意如何,鷺鷥飛入蘆花裏。」
J36nB369_p0941b26上堂。「人醉春風,漁憨朗月。養家一般,生意各別。黃梅J36nB369_p0941b27五百人,盧行者不會佛法,可得衣缽。」良久,拈拄杖:「自J36nB369_p0941b28從相識以來,未嘗敢忘疇昔。」
J36nB369_p0941b29上堂。僧問:「諸方知識皆有妙用,故能風動一時,名喧J36nB369_p0941b30八表。和尚冷湫湫地有甚長處?」師云:「久參宿衲,果然J36nB369_p0941c01高鑑。」僧曰:「某甲今日不著便。」師曰:「鬧處正好插觜。」乃J36nB369_p0941c02良久,召眾曰:「還識五山鈍叟麼?庭前柏子青青在,世J36nB369_p0941c03上何人共歲寒?」
J36nB369_p0941c04上堂。拈拄杖曰:「者箇事,大有人不識端倪在。且識得J36nB369_p0941c05作麼道?」良久,卓一下:「鬧市總無癡夢到,閒情卻與暮J36nB369_p0941c06年投。」
J36nB369_p0941c07上堂。舉:「趙州在東司上喚文遠,遠應諾,州曰:『東司上J36nB369_p0941c08不可與汝說佛法。』」師云:「臭氣薰人猶不知。頌曰:內逼J36nB369_p0941c09連忙趨後架,尚有工夫說閒話,春深花事已闌珊,不J36nB369_p0941c10知多少在亭榭。」

J36nB369_p0941c14出隊歸,上堂。「舊歲出門底不必再提,今年歸來底已J36nB369_p0941c15極分明。知有者,頓拔疑根,通身慶快。據明眼看來,雖J36nB369_p0941c16則慶快,已涉程途。有一句無出入、無去來,在衲僧分J36nB369_p0941c17上如何即是?」顧左右,「春光相共惜,無恙故人顏。」
J36nB369_p0941c18上堂。「入夏來,頃刻間一月過矣。然黃瓜生,苦菜秀,老J36nB369_p0941c19樹多陰,涼風在牖,者裏好箇消息,只是無人肯信,所J36nB369_p0941c20以老趙州一生不雜用心。雲巖在藥山二十年,秪明J36nB369_p0941c21此事,有謂水牯牛已調馴了,鼻孔不須穿,切忌將錯J36nB369_p0941c22就錯。你道東塔離離披披有甚利益?」良久:「北窗高臥J36nB369_p0941c23處,卻有上皇風。」
J36nB369_p0941c24端陽,上堂。「當午令節,世俗風規,讀騷興感,采艾懷人。J36nB369_p0941c25炊角黍,處處煙清;泛蒲尊,家家沈醉。我東塔門下,桃J36nB369_p0941c26印靈符用他不著,雄黃蒲酒亦非所宜。無柴少米,粽J36nB369_p0941c27子不曾裹得;手頭扁短,盛齋不曾整得。若兩眼相看,J36nB369_p0941c28一味省事,門頭戶底已見寥寥,堂奧中間誰肯跨腳?J36nB369_p0941c29再斯計較,將無作有,做得一箇鐵酸餡,雖非佳品,咬J36nB369_p0941c30嚼得破,滋味實是不同。」以拂子畫○相托呈,曰:「請。」
J36nB369_p0942a01懸宇禪人病中耑使請上堂。「西子湖頭脫白,已知松J36nB369_p0942a02柏耐寒;南屏山下棲遲,直以須彌靠穩。惓惓於山僧,J36nB369_p0942a03遠近無間;切切於自己,饑渴是懷。二十餘年平坦崎J36nB369_p0942a04嶇,苦心勞力,生死海遙,尚未到岸。今在沉痾,自知風J36nB369_p0942a05前燭影、川上月痕,豈能長久?循思水源木本,亦謂恩J36nB369_p0942a06大難酬,特耑使齎香致敬,要於生死交結處討箇出J36nB369_p0942a07身活路。古者有言:『大事替你不得,小事你自抵當。』雖J36nB369_p0942a08是一片婆心,未免舌頭拖地。山僧口門窄隘,煩大眾J36nB369_p0942a09為他轉一語。」良久,卓拄杖:「但把萬緣俱放下,何愁不J36nB369_p0942a10到太平時?」
J36nB369_p0942a11靈峰拙嵒和尚訃聞,上堂。「太白峰前,同時作息,獨性J36nB369_p0942a12傲別,互相不肯。後來溪南山北,相見甚難,知在五磊J36nB369_p0942a13揚化,聞得以臨濟七事加砒霜、鴆毒和合為藥。凡學J36nB369_p0942a14者入門,不問為佛法來、為遊山來,俱與一服,要他箇J36nB369_p0942a15箇廢寢忘餐、放身捨命,絕後再甦,復與痛棒,謂之活J36nB369_p0942a16命靈丹。諸方沸喧,山僧疑著,每欲詣山頭細說今時J36nB369_p0942a17利害,略傾契闊之悰,隙駒閃電,遂墮因循,倏焉老大,J36nB369_p0942a18彼此縈思。適聞箇老漢以法社凋傷之狀,耳不欲聞、J36nB369_p0942a19眼不耐看,西風一陣秋江起,散手翛然還故鄉,四眾J36nB369_p0942a20悽愴,山僧驚愕。蓋法門衰落、祖道荒涼,此誠為憂也。J36nB369_p0942a21若是本色道流,向者裏開正眼,志復勇健,好好看方J36nB369_p0942a22便。珍重。光陰莫輕玩。」
J36nB369_p0942a23上堂。拈拄杖:「者箇不動著時,放在青苔壁邊,寒暑相J36nB369_p0942a24陵,塳塵封裹,未曾將眼看他。忽提起來,白蘋岸上,紅J36nB369_p0942a25樹溪頭,百丈偕之玩月,趙州攜之探水,驚蛇出草,打J36nB369_p0942a26鳳沖霄,隱顯全該,神化莫測。雖然,若是箇中人,決定J36nB369_p0942a27道箇不必。」卓一下。
J36nB369_p0942a28結制,上堂。「金雞唱午夜,芻狗吠天明,識路裏奔馳底,J36nB369_p0942a29定言正偏兼到;霜飛楓葉下,風靜鷺鷥眠,情塵裏交J36nB369_p0942a30輥底,決謂人境俱奪。恁麼領略,正是心無一定,事有J36nB369_p0942b01千差。若有志者,向父母未生前猛著精彩,忽地打破J36nB369_p0942b02漆桶,可曰:是大丈夫為大丈夫事。喝!」
J36nB369_p0942b03復舉:「雪峰示眾曰:『盡大地是解脫門,把手拽伊不肯J36nB369_p0942b04入。』一僧曰:『怪某甲不得。』又僧曰:『用入作麼?』峰便打。」師J36nB369_p0942b05曰:「二僧標格實是可觀,雪峰拄杖猶不放過。有來由,J36nB369_p0942b06沒來由,一片剛腸何處求?」
J36nB369_p0942b07魯存知藏、方德茂居士請上堂。「法昌在昔開爐日,行J36nB369_p0942b08腳僧無一箇來;東塔今朝援舊例,禪人百數盡英才。J36nB369_p0942b09既是英才,必合知機識變,語默不落始終、出入自忘J36nB369_p0942b10表裏,大藏、小藏已知來處,或長、或短一切隨緣,處處J36nB369_p0942b11是出身活路、頭頭是自己神通,斯則己躬可辦、信施J36nB369_p0942b12可消。若更問如何……」豎拂子,「者裏恐難測,此外欲何為?」J36nB369_p0942b13上堂。「千聖頂𩕳上一著子,非世智辨聰所能求,豈愚J36nB369_p0942b14癡暗鈍可以得?還他英特之士,旨得言前、機轉量外,J36nB369_p0942b15光陰固是難駐、寒暑不必驚心。趙州無雲門普打得J36nB369_p0942b16徹,即是諸人眼睛頭一著子。雖然,不得喚晝作夜。」
J36nB369_p0942b17大慶院智侶、智眉受戒,請上堂。「一切法門,千般萬種。」J36nB369_p0942b18拈拄杖,「秪要者裏信得極切、悟得徹頭,已知有、未知J36nB369_p0942b19有,到我根前,如菱花在照,妍醜自分。所以,垂一句可J36nB369_p0942b20以權衡佛祖,轉一機可以引跂後賢。有時向背情忘,J36nB369_p0942b21穆若清飆扇物;有時君臣道合,藹如溫旭被人。境風J36nB369_p0942b22雖大,不能動搖;時節到來,生平志辦。喜大慶有是家J36nB369_p0942b23傳,同末山騰其路沸,庶不負釋迦老大德苦口叮嚀。」J36nB369_p0942b24卓拄杖,「此但躬行追閃電,更無餘事論單傳。」
J36nB369_p0942b25印山大悲懺檀越張、姜、龔同請上堂。「翠擷爐峰,瀾增J36nB369_p0942b26鑑水,漁歌遠浦,雞唱鄰家,明明是大士慈化要津、的J36nB369_p0942b27的是當人出身正路,但未曾有箇入處,驚疑者十有J36nB369_p0942b28八、九,信入者百無二、三。若是當人,從無量劫中於大J36nB369_p0942b29光明藏裏與普門大士眉毛撕結過來,到今世門頭,J36nB369_p0942b30隨自己之信樂、任自己之施為,應機發用,各得其宜,J36nB369_p0942c01所謂佛法、世法也在裏許,祖意、教意也在裏許,慧命、J36nB369_p0942c02壽命也在裏許,確承先德風裁,實展後人榜樣。」豎拂J36nB369_p0942c03子,「能行是者,斯文有在,可為釋迦後裔。」擊拂子。
J36nB369_p0942c04除夜,小參。「千方共治一病,是甚麼病?萬機同顯一心,J36nB369_p0942c05是甚麼心?如識得病根、知得心源,隨儉隨豐,一任年J36nB369_p0942c06來年去;立志立業,可為有始有終。便知洞山道:『體得J36nB369_p0942c07佛向上人,方有語話分。』若是本色道流,豈肯倚他門J36nB369_p0942c08戶、傍他墻壁?德山入門便棒,精神未改於常;臨濟入J36nB369_p0942c09門便喝,力量不過如舊。山僧從年頭至年尾,橫瞠白J36nB369_p0942c10眼,高視青霄,疏慵閒放,樂在其中。忽有箇漢出來道:J36nB369_p0942c11『和尚恁麼過時,正是蹉跎餐素,潦倒無成。』許是大了J36nB369_p0942c12當人。或徇情轉換,隨境飄流,到水窮山盡處,能踏出J36nB369_p0942c13一條通天大路,始稱駿步不羈。」喝一喝。
J36nB369_p0942c14復舉:「玄沙因僧問:『如何是學人自己?』沙曰:『用自己作J36nB369_p0942c15麼?』」師曰:「玄沙如此酬對,可為風恬浪靜。至治大觀爆J36nB369_p0942c16竹笙歌太平樂事,雲門道:『沒量大人向語脈裏轉卻J36nB369_p0942c17醍醐毒藥,不可不知。』東塔雖到年窮歲盡,不可便與J36nB369_p0942c18麼休去。罷業忘功無異路,不知今夜幾人歸。」
J36nB369_p0942c19講法華經畢,書記邃龍河薦祖、澄泉行可、中和老宿、J36nB369_p0942c20孫瓚琳侍者請上堂。豎拂子:「沒量人以此妙慧開悟J36nB369_p0942c21眾生,直如麗日當天、春風鼓物,枯梅結子、石筍抽條,J36nB369_p0942c22一雲所雨隨類均滋,大小根莖扶疏夢就,晴翻麥浪J36nB369_p0942c23綠遍千畦,風送落花紅鋪滿地,一一明了、箇箇無疑,J36nB369_p0942c24可謂郢匠登筵、巴人卷舌矣。山僧到者裏不是重扣J36nB369_p0942c25瓦缶而亂宮商,但有一著也要得知:娑羅塔前箭鋒J36nB369_p0942c26不讓,半葉舫內肋下還拳。有時氣似冤家,膠粘不上;J36nB369_p0942c27有時情深父子,刀劈不開。軒騰無忌,見一時龍象之J36nB369_p0942c28英;逸韻流傳,為五山耆舊之表。此是澄泉尊宿親見J36nB369_p0942c29清涼老祖底杷柄,中和、行可繼踵接武,家聲規步,奕J36nB369_p0942c30葉源長,入滅已三十年。今日邃公志切佩其提訓,心J36nB369_p0943a01甚殷於追思,恐年深日久,山中若絕聞雲門古調,則J36nB369_p0943a02人間焉得知尊貴宗猷?故要山僧添箇註腳,使後之J36nB369_p0943a03學者知得古人之心如見古人之面。大眾!秪如道:是J36nB369_p0943a04生無滅,真滅無生。向甚麼處與諸尊宿相見?」良久:「古J36nB369_p0943a05路迎陽青靄合,新篁拔地綠陰多。」
J36nB369_p0943a06當湖陸鶴田侍御迎大銅佛入天寧,請就本處,上堂。J36nB369_p0943a07「水曲村灣,苔封古殿,綠暗紅稀,風光溢目。人人道:老J36nB369_p0943a08釋迦向者裏六門不掩,四衢絕蹤,月昇夜戶,燕語空J36nB369_p0943a09梁,雙足跏趺,古今坐斷。殊不知者老漢於諸國土平J36nB369_p0943a10等隨入,剎剎塵塵無不是他安身立命處。所以,應機J36nB369_p0943a11出沒,隨智卷舒,二邊不涉,中道不居,千差萬別,逸格J36nB369_p0943a12變通。有時高低俯視,多士從風;有時賓主抑揚,一言J36nB369_p0943a13定旨。入天寧極稱尊貴,在檀越大屬福基。秪如道:去J36nB369_p0943a14來不以相,動靜不以言。如何道得恰好句?」卓拄杖,「雖J36nB369_p0943a15云步轉威音外,慧照仍分秀水邊。」
