J36nB369_p0958b04洞明、雪照請上堂。「劉鐵磨闖入大溈堂奧,然末山捺J36nB369_p0958b05下灌谿雲頭,得從上純全,提今時綱要。近來一等大J36nB369_p0958b06老喚作棄地餿殘、離醇糟粕,有眼不敢覷著、有口不J36nB369_p0958b07敢談著;豈知雞岫精華、熊峰骨髓,醒人甘露、活命饔J36nB369_p0958b08飧,無過此也。若能細細嘗之,則見非鹹、非淡,非苦、非J36nB369_p0958b09甜,非酸、非辣,是為雪山真正美味。到此田地,可稱飽J36nB369_p0958b10參衲子、絕學高人。據山僧看來,正好喫棒在。何故?要J36nB369_p0958b11為達磨真苗裔,須是千錘百鍊剛。」
J36nB369_p0958b12上堂。「三十年前,見愚菴老人扯下半邊鼻孔,痛恨不J36nB369_p0958b13休。三十年後,被天下衲子扭落兩莖眉毛,懊悔無已。J36nB369_p0958b14如今觸著舊時痛處,不覺高聲大喊。你道喊箇甚麼?J36nB369_p0958b15三伏暑中細嚼冰,十二月裏冷心痛。」
J36nB369_p0958b16青峰菴尼道真請上堂。舉:「淨居尼玄機禪師到雪峰,J36nB369_p0958b17峰曰:『汝名甚麼?』曰:『玄機。』峰曰:『日織多少?』曰:『寸絲不挂。』J36nB369_p0958b18遂禮拜,退,纔行三五步,峰召曰:『袈裟角拖地也。』尼回J36nB369_p0958b19首,峰曰:『大好寸絲不挂。』」師曰:「雪峰傳持石頭正脈,仰J36nB369_p0958b20重者如眾星拱北,歸往者如萬水朝東,到者裏把不J36nB369_p0958b21住,一味順風撒沙,和羹送飯。淨居箇尼,理直氣壯,心J36nB369_p0958b22大志剛,只有進前之謀,且無善後之策,總領過一邊。J36nB369_p0958b23今日道真上人涉江過水而來,蓋是舊時熟識,不復J36nB369_p0958b24細問蹤由,但其艱苦備嘗,傾心吐膽,言言見旨,句句J36nB369_p0958b25明宗,秖要一念未生時踢倒界墻,好說終日穿衣,寸J36nB369_p0958b26絲不挂,終日勞碌,那事無妨?要與淨居同箇轍,青峰J36nB369_p0958b27珍重舊家山。」
J36nB369_p0958b28上堂。「天上天下,或尊或貴。何呂施張,朱秦尤許。十方J36nB369_p0958b29國土中,大千世界裏,啾啾亂鳴鼓發狂鬧,總是者棚J36nB369_p0958b30傀儡。」舉拂子:「當初不可得,而今賤如土。」乃擲下。
J36nB369_p0958c01上堂。良久:「於焉得把臂,山犬喜人歸。若有流水詩成,J36nB369_p0958c02落花夢醒者,出來呈似老僧看。」僧問:「如何是同行不J36nB369_p0958c03同意?」師曰:「黃金鑄就伍員心。」
J36nB369_p0958c04上堂。「百歲老翁頭不白,箇箇無疑;十八女兒不繫裙,J36nB369_p0958c05人人不信。觀音菩薩將錢買胡餅,放下手卻是饅頭,J36nB369_p0958c06疑也不疑?雲門道:『扇子𨁝跳上天,觸著帝釋鼻孔;東J36nB369_p0958c07海鯉魚打一棒,雨似盆傾。』信也不信?」卓拄杖:「三十年J36nB369_p0958c08年後,悟去不可知。」
J36nB369_p0958c09上堂。「欲識天華境,分明盡在目。門前幾箇山,屋後一J36nB369_p0958c10叢竹。中有一聯詩,非關文字語言,不屬平上去入。有J36nB369_p0958c11人讀得來,曹溪文獻可徵,雲門韻譜可續。讀不來,問J36nB369_p0958c12取東鄰田入叔。」喝!
J36nB369_p0958c13李馥初檀越請上堂。「大豪傑人做大豪傑事,必有待J36nB369_p0958c14而後發,則大機絕回互、大用無忌諱,將龜毛繩子穿J36nB369_p0958c15卻一切人鼻孔,傍觀者悚然,一切是非毀譽俱著不J36nB369_p0958c16得。」拈拄杖:「山僧拄杖子,有時為春風和氣,皆可追從;J36nB369_p0958c17有時為石火電光,無敢湊泊;有時作風流儒者,淵才J36nB369_p0958c18雅思,振刷綱常;有時作出格道流,顧鑑頻申,揮斥佛J36nB369_p0958c19祖。」驀打一僧,曰:「者一棒清楚得來、商量得下,入世而J36nB369_p0958c20無拘、安行而自得。若未得恁麼,乘閒且靠壁,有與定J36nB369_p0958c21思君。」
J36nB369_p0958c22上堂。「木狗司夜,烏雞踏雪,達人到此,千奇百怪。懵懂J36nB369_p0958c23禪流,無繩自縛,隨處樂太平,為汝再斟酌。」豎拂子,「葵J36nB369_p0958c24花向日分千態,菊蕊迎霜共一姿。」
J36nB369_p0958c25上堂。舉:「黃檗見趙州來,便閉卻方丈門。州將把火於J36nB369_p0958c26法堂內,叫曰:『救火!救火!』檗開門扭住,曰:『道!道!』州曰:『賊J36nB369_p0958c27過後張弓。』」師曰:「此道賴以宗主,黃檗獨慎其重;明鑑J36nB369_p0958c28極以秋毫,趙州無出其右。可為縱奪可觀,回互得妙。J36nB369_p0958c29然一箇主令太嚴,一箇客情過縱,未免縫罅難齊。要J36nB369_p0958c30諸人自去檢點,山僧不敢說破。何故?信知君日後,開J36nB369_p0959a01口罵應多。」
J36nB369_p0959a02道源都寺請上堂。問:「情無向背底,妙密難言。斧劈不J36nB369_p0959a03開底,請垂方便。」師曰:「深讎厚怨,不共戴天。」進曰:「日居J36nB369_p0959a04月諸,已見端倪。」師曰:「山僧眉毛長多少。」進曰:「大似無J36nB369_p0959a05人知。」師曰:「一拶便出。」進曰:「秖如妙密難言,還可借得J36nB369_p0959a06一轉也無?」師曰:「我拖犁,汝拽耙。」乃曰:「處處田禾熟,家J36nB369_p0959a07家稻梁肥。獨我天華寺倉廩元舊精空,庫司仍復告J36nB369_p0959a08匱。一堂禪子甘靜悠悠,兩班頭首勞心碌碌。山僧素J36nB369_p0959a09性愚鈍,不解借花插戴,假裝好漢。所喜有箇家裏人,J36nB369_p0959a10具得副真心熱腸。庶事旁午,躬吐握之勞。祖業分明,J36nB369_p0959a11藉股肱之重。廬陵米價,鎮州蘿蔔,總不論量。秖要碗J36nB369_p0959a12頭豐盛,席面光鮮,少室真猷不墜,洞山血脈相通。雖J36nB369_p0959a13則如是,不昧當機,全身奉重一句作麼生道?白髮滿J36nB369_p0959a14頭稚子態,丹心一點照無私。」
J36nB369_p0959a15上堂:「遠方無處尋,近邊不用覓。打破無字關,事事謾J36nB369_p0959a16不得。」顧左右:「老趙州甚麼處去也?」良久:「休!休!捉賊不J36nB369_p0959a17如趕賊。」
J36nB369_p0959a18尼智林生日,請上堂。「通身是手提不起底,豎拂子如J36nB369_p0959a19今提起;通身是口道不盡底,擊拂子如今道盡。者裏J36nB369_p0959a20領得些子,如從母胎裏跳出時,㘞地一聲,將無量劫J36nB369_p0959a21來鬱勃之氣一口歎出,始信道:『頭頂青天,腳踏片地,J36nB369_p0959a22年登耳順,景在桑榆,空中布彩,鏡裏飛花,莫不皆吾J36nB369_p0959a23本分風光,隨緣應用。』如是,則父母未生前一句不再J36nB369_p0959a24生疑,父母已生後一句無復有惑,正當生日一句不J36nB369_p0959a25可不知。時值小陽天氣好,無影樹頭純是花。」
J36nB369_p0959a26上堂。「二七已過,面上塵埃未洗潔淨;三七到來,路頭J36nB369_p0959a27逼窄轉見淆訛。向被位裏坐守,待悟有志之士不為J36nB369_p0959a28也。」卓拄杖:「者裏拌得命、忘得身,卷舒朝暮,紙窗一任J36nB369_p0959a29風吹破。」
J36nB369_p0959a30上堂。「君臣道合,五鳳樓頭展腳眠。向背不存,萬年床J36nB369_p0959b01子無心憶。清貧自樂,濁富多憂。生平傲岸,其志不可J36nB369_p0959b02測。釋迦彌勒,四七二三。」以手握拳曰:「不消一捏。」
J36nB369_p0959b03上堂。「為訪道,道是假名;謂參禪,禪是何物?兩頭俱坐J36nB369_p0959b04斷,傾盡歲寒心。根性卑劣底,到者裏自生退屈;氣質J36nB369_p0959b05剛暴底,到者裏頭角太露。要與黃面老人同一受用,J36nB369_p0959b06山僧為諸人決一策。」良久,「大開正眼仍多累,打失眉J36nB369_p0959b07毛萬事休。」
J36nB369_p0959b08淑安、淡如同胡善人請上堂。「樓頭閒卷疏簾,但有寒J36nB369_p0959b09風颯颯;天際客來遠棹,聞知喜氣津津。始相見,若屏J36nB369_p0959b10息停機及取茗飲訖,問些家常、說些淡話,如大海水,J36nB369_p0959b11人方圓器;猶太虛空,隨大小瓶。旨無二極,趣必同歸。J36nB369_p0959b12明明暢自己本懷,歷歷是劫前風景。雖然如此,外麤J36nB369_p0959b13易鑑,不用他疑;內密難窮,惟應親證。且親證箇甚麼?J36nB369_p0959b14施主有齋,誰敢不飽?」
J36nB369_p0959b15大慶院智耀、德松、德培等受戒,請上堂。「妙道非遐,潛J36nB369_p0959b16心體之而目擊;至趣不遠,有志得之則甚深。若與麼J36nB369_p0959b17去,恐有物礙膺,未得消化,是為生死根本。直饒劫外J36nB369_p0959b18春光徘徊自得,今時風月瀟洒無拘,悟迷俱絕,事理J36nB369_p0959b19雙融,只可飽食終日,逐色隨聲,要達從上正脈,幾時J36nB369_p0959b20能搆?」拈起拄杖:「者箇諸佛傳之為大智慧燈,爍破幽J36nB369_p0959b21暗;歷祖稟之為大海舟楫,普捄沉迷;現前諸人受之J36nB369_p0959b22為如意寶珠,周濟貧乏。既然如是,沒底缽盂人人自J36nB369_p0959b23有,無相田衣箇箇具足,是為大慶幸了,山僧敢不為J36nB369_p0959b24之喝彩?」卓拄杖:「細嘗冰雪能無猒?開到梅花香自多。」
J36nB369_p0959b25上堂。「行腳高人,究此大事。南奔北走,闊狹短長,無不J36nB369_p0959b26明了。孤村紅樹,三徑寒雲,莫不觸我目也。松鳴幽籟,J36nB369_p0959b27漁送清歌,莫不快吾心也。行腳事不問你,鬧市裏相J36nB369_p0959b28見時作麼生?」良久,擊拂子:「千里持來,一擊粉碎。」
J36nB369_p0959b29上堂。「睡來合眼,醒來搔首。試問諸人,汝還會否?會得,J36nB369_p0959b30橫七豎八正相應。不會,屋後門前休亂走。」喝一喝。
J36nB369_p0959c01上堂:「威音那畔若知高下,日用門頭識得淺深。才好J36nB369_p0959c02忘功罷業,穩坐家山。一任雲籠孤岫,霧鎖千巖。胸中J36nB369_p0959c03已絕是非,悉聽風鳴萬籟。眼底不存彼此,何妨浪捲J36nB369_p0959c04長江。正恁麼時,賓主兩忘,正偏不立,如何舉似?僚佐J36nB369_p0959c05不令拘禮數,時閒徐步月明前。」
J36nB369_p0959c06上堂。「柯韻悠揚,市聲隱約。朝去暮來,接響互答。小橋J36nB369_p0959c07流水,悄然如話。謂是拈花微笑之宗,謂是面壁安心J36nB369_p0959c08之旨,謂是衲僧親切之談。有道得,恰好與你一柄龜J36nB369_p0959c09毛拂子,差排佛祖。若無人道得,只好留在自用。」拈拂J36nB369_p0959c10子,下座。
J36nB369_p0959c11彌陀誕日,即達虛老宿生忌,兼薦十周諱日,法柱監J36nB369_p0959c12院率眾請上堂。拈起拄杖:「大眾見麼?彌陀如來、達虛J36nB369_p0959c13老師在山僧拄杖頭上坐,千葉寶蓮,眉毛撕結,各說J36nB369_p0959c14本因也。彌陀如來道:『我是今朝生日後,以出家修行J36nB369_p0959c15成道,住淨土,發許多大願,一願不圓滿,不取菩提,故J36nB369_p0959c16有黃金階道、碧玉樓臺、樹林水鳥盡演真常,提攜一J36nB369_p0959c17切人出離苦趣、同受極樂,住來經無量億劫,家風如J36nB369_p0959c18舊,尊卑貴賤皆吾眷屬。你那裏坑坎堆阜、雜穢充遍,J36nB369_p0959c19聚集的是盡十方強漢,以五濁心為究竟,有甚麼好J36nB369_p0959c20處?』達虛老師道:『我也是今朝生日後,以出家修行訪J36nB369_p0959c21道,住天華,做許多事業,一事不冠冕,不肯放心,故能J36nB369_p0959c22佐治道路、式廓禪叢,祥麟彩鳳均獲依棲,開導一切J36nB369_p0959c23人拔斷貪根、培養福種,別來已有十餘年,條令斬新,J36nB369_p0959c24緇素大小皆吾子孫。你者裏清淨幽寂、忘懷無事,收J36nB369_p0959c25錄底是盡大地貧兒,以一佛號為資本,有甚麼奇特?』J36nB369_p0959c26拄杖子聽見,忍俊不禁,突出眾前曰:『二位尊慈費此J36nB369_p0959c27唇舌,著甚來由?你彌陀如來開淨土之門極是正當,J36nB369_p0959c28人人歸仰,也不必再稱尊貴;你達虛老師坐香嚴之J36nB369_p0959c29舍極是自在,箇箇信服,也不必更誇富麗。其中有箇J36nB369_p0959c30情節,聽我說明罷了。』」卓拄杖:「盤珠宛轉無痕跡,紅日J36nB369_p0960a01朝昇暮在西。」
J36nB369_p0960a02上堂。「山上行船,垣頭走馬。啞子唱歌,知音實寡。細說J36nB369_p0960a03與君轉不明,好問東村王大姐。」喝一喝:「此一著近來J36nB369_p0960a04不直半文,何用之乎者也?放下!放下!」
J36nB369_p0960a05上堂。「口吻未開,全機敗露。若說箇汝莫搜求,我不孤J36nB369_p0960a06負達磨門風,有甚好處?離四句,絕百非,太虛空裏鑿J36nB369_p0960a07箇孔竅。」拍案一下:「功歸蕭相國,氣盡戚夫人。」
J36nB369_p0960a08上堂,良久,顧左右:「是事為云何?」復良久,拈拄杖:「知是J36nB369_p0960a09般事便休,免得外邊尋討。」卓一下。
J36nB369_p0960a10上堂。舉:「德山密和尚曰:『僧堂前事時人知有,佛殿後J36nB369_p0960a11事作麼生?』」師曰:「德山老漢半吞半吐,不明不暗,若是J36nB369_p0960a12天華,乃曰:『僧堂前事所不能知,佛殿後事且不必顧。』J36nB369_p0960a13懷州牛喫禾,因甚益州馬腹脹?者裏知得,師子掣斷J36nB369_p0960a14黃金索。不然,江水滔滔,山雲疊疊。」
J36nB369_p0960a15上堂。「不願成佛,莫求作祖。說妙談玄,麻纏紙裹。若有J36nB369_p0960a16本分,急須嘔吐。曝背簷前,或起或坐。」喝一喝:「男子漢J36nB369_p0960a17志在四方,豈肯綢繆戀鄉土?」
J36nB369_p0960a18上堂。舉:「投子因芙蓉楷問:『祖師言句如家常茶飯,離J36nB369_p0960a19此之外別有為人處麼?』子曰:『汝道寰中天子還假堯J36nB369_p0960a20舜禹湯也無?』蓉擬進語,子以拂子驀口摵曰:『汝發意J36nB369_p0960a21來早有三十棒也。』蓉忽開悟,禮拜便行。子曰:『且來,闍J36nB369_p0960a22黎。』蓉不顧。子曰:『汝到不疑之地耶?』蓉掩耳而出。」師曰:J36nB369_p0960a23「天下之事當與天下共之。芙蓉當時見投子道:『寰中J36nB369_p0960a24天子還假堯舜禹湯也無?』便掩耳而去。可令天下人J36nB369_p0960a25復聞白雪之高,再睹清風之穆。投子縱有神機,技癢J36nB369_p0960a26無益。芙蓉既落他彀中,被他調度,欲聚十方世界為J36nB369_p0960a27鐵,鑄不得一箇錯字。」
J36nB369_p0960a28上堂。「四五日不與諸人說著此事,拄杖子皮膚燥癢。J36nB369_p0960a29此事近來不是難說,要箇分剖底人千中尟一。然山J36nB369_p0960a30僧豈敢以人廢言?」卓拄杖,喝一喝。
J36nB369_p0960b01上堂。舉:「梁山觀和尚因僧問:『如何是從上傳來底事?』J36nB369_p0960b02山曰:『渡水胡僧無膝褲,背馱梵筴不持經。』」師曰:「先達J36nB369_p0960b03轉位就功、入泥涉水,要人向者裏全身擔荷,非麤心J36nB369_p0960b04大膽見得、會得以為是了。且梁山老祖恁麼道,還是J36nB369_p0960b05明從上底事?為復答者僧話辨別得來?宗本得以勁J36nB369_p0960b06氣天華,喜其有人檢點不出,冬天寒冷,參退喫茶。」
J36nB369_p0960b07上堂。拈拄杖:「有花必同尋,有月必同賞。衲僧面前來,J36nB369_p0960b08一點用不著。雖然無用處,且留他在者裏。何謂家無J36nB369_p0960b09滯貨不富?」
J36nB369_p0960b10上堂。「事礙即種種成異,理融即法法必均。」拈拄杖:「若J36nB369_p0960b11喚作拄杖,有頭無尾,雖飽無力。不喚作拄杖,有尾無J36nB369_p0960b12頭,動便費手。道得事理兼到,頭尾相稱,好與拄杖子J36nB369_p0960b13相見。不然,須臾俱自老,慮幾能閒?」
J36nB369_p0960b14上堂。「三七廿一,倚墻靠壁,總恁麼去,有甚氣息?不若J36nB369_p0960b15翻轉面皮、放開懷抱,一挑土、二般柴,語語默默,盡達J36nB369_p0960b16磨胸中欲吐底,恐負心衲子顧了者邊、失了那邊,要J36nB369_p0960b17與佛祖為師,豈是容易?」豎拂子:「君不見?無數行人古J36nB369_p0960b18路頭,造次經過幾相讓。」擊拂子一下。
J36nB369_p0960b19上堂。拈拂子,「盡大地人從者裏消愁解悶,切忌世諦J36nB369_p0960b20流布。」放拂子,「盡大地人從者裏情斷路絕,莫作佛法J36nB369_p0960b21商量。不拈不放時道得相應,東閣門前揖上客,西市J36nB369_p0960b22街頭稱莫逆。不然,山僧為汝通箇消息。」擊拂子,「者裏J36nB369_p0960b23便是通途,此外別無捷徑。」
J36nB369_p0960b24徐友章居士請上堂。「尊貴天然,不假造作。迷失底一J36nB369_p0960b25脈相承,如同陌路;悟得底千途運轉,不暫分岐。所以J36nB369_p0960b26者,一著子貴乎自肯信、自肯承當,生處熟、熟處自生。J36nB369_p0960b27有時擲去拋來,正好了夢中活計;有時山頭嶺尾,不J36nB369_p0960b28妨作世外閒人。木樨花發,不可無山谷之笑聲;溺器J36nB369_p0960b29踏翻,自當有無盡之叫喚。因有如是回互旁參、縱橫J36nB369_p0960b30不犯之妙密,故有如是八面衝鋒、萬機普應之玲瓏。J36nB369_p0960c01然則衲僧門下猶有事在,你道有甚麼事?」良久,曰:「家J36nB369_p0960c02常茶飯。」
J36nB369_p0960c03復舉:「龐蘊居士先謁石頭,問:『不與萬法為侶者是甚J36nB369_p0960c04麼人?』石頭以手掩其口,士豁然有省。後參馬祖,亦如J36nB369_p0960c05前問,祖曰:『待汝一口吸盡西江水即向你道。』士浩然J36nB369_p0960c06大徹。」師曰:「二大老醞靈鷲之醇、秉少林之直,鞭笞凡J36nB369_p0960c07聖、陵鑠古今,此其餘事,但可惜將箇龐老斷送在西J36nB369_p0960c08江水裏,至今不得出頭。友章居士夜深而到、茗碗而J36nB369_p0960c09坐,道誼藹然,誠如夙契,不消搖唇動手,自然意氣相J36nB369_p0960c10投。不與萬法為侶底人,甚麼處不是?」豎拂子:「大眾見J36nB369_p0960c11麼?前有青山後有竹,相攜同步且陶然。」
J36nB369_p0960c12上堂。「河魨羹,鴆毒飯,無上醍醐不肯換。拌身捨命莫J36nB369_p0960c13生疑,死去活來始解隨機應變。」呈拂子,「和盤托出了J36nB369_p0960c14也。愛者任君餐,不喫亦從便。」
J36nB369_p0960c15上堂。舉:「雪峰在洞山時,山問:『作甚麼來?』峰曰:『斫槽來。』J36nB369_p0960c16山曰:『幾斧斫成?』峰曰:『一斧斫成。』山曰:『此是者邊事,那J36nB369_p0960c17邊事作麼生?』峰曰:『直得無下手處。』山曰:『猶是者邊事,J36nB369_p0960c18那邊事作麼生?』峰休去。」師曰:「與家裏人說家裏事,鉅J36nB369_p0960c19細分明,是非淨盡。洞山、雪峰,千里芙蓉、一樽竹葉,實J36nB369_p0960c20為知己難逢。若是那邊事,來朝更問故人看。」
J36nB369_p0960c21上堂。舉:「僧問慈明:『己事未明,以何為驗?』明曰:『玄沙曾J36nB369_p0960c22見雪峰來。』曰:『意旨如何?』明曰:『一生不出嶺。』」師曰:「慈明J36nB369_p0960c23不以家規開發後人,惟借別人鼻孔出氣,使者僧有J36nB369_p0960c24九萬里之程,仍為淹滯,不能奮飛。且天華恁麼道,還J36nB369_p0960c25有長處也無?雪中王子棹,月下謫仙杯。」
J36nB369_p0960c26上堂。「坐豐美筵席,唱太平曲子,無不爽心稱快,也是J36nB369_p0960c27擔板漢。住荊棘叢林,入虎狼群隊,無不戰驚受懼,也J36nB369_p0960c28是擔板漢。有箇人有時恁麼也是,不恁麼也是,有時J36nB369_p0960c29恁麼也不是,不恁麼也不是,我知你也是擔板漢。」喝J36nB369_p0960c30一喝。
J36nB369_p0961a01上堂。「窮子忽歸家,入門盡看見。欲識故園春,桃花開J36nB369_p0961a02爛熳。更問本來父母面。」良久,「兩重公案。」
J36nB369_p0961a03上堂。「主伴兼明,上下交徹,我不嫌汝不知,汝莫怪我J36nB369_p0961a04不說,免使後人論得失。」拍禪床:「若是其中人知得,臨J36nB369_p0961a05濟在黃檗喫三頓棒,大似蒿枝拂。」
J36nB369_p0961a06冬至,上堂。「真實人說底話,出聖凡情量;大丈夫行底J36nB369_p0961a07事,與日月馳輝。是故,有時截斷千差,寒威凜凜;有時J36nB369_p0961a08放開一路,煖氣炯炯。便見玉墀春度,緹室灰飛,陰霾J36nB369_p0961a09消去,陽德復來。顧物情積懷斯暢,慶祖道祕密攸宣。J36nB369_p0961a10天華者裏,洞山果桌懶得掇出掇進,雲門胡餅免得J36nB369_p0961a11搓圓捏扁,只好喫杯趙州清茶,與真實人說些真實J36nB369_p0961a12話。」卓拄杖,「花開鐵樹十分妍,焰發寒冰四壁煙,石女J36nB369_p0961a13曉將雲鬢整,向天長揖祝堯年。」
J36nB369_p0961a14上堂。維那白椎曰:「法筵龍象眾,當觀第一義。」師曰:「灼J36nB369_p0961a15然達磨不曾道著者一句,維那盡力已提持。堪笑老J36nB369_p0961a16瞿曇,昨日定,今日不定。」便下座。
J36nB369_p0961a17上堂。「真歇老祖道:『我於丹霞先師一掌下伎倆俱盡,J36nB369_p0961a18覓箇開口處不可得。』此話說來都是肯信。山僧侍愚J36nB369_p0961a19菴先師二十餘年,提金剛鎚擊碎窠臼,將黑豆子換J36nB369_p0961a20卻眼睛,痛恨難消,討箇住手時不可得。此事說來孰J36nB369_p0961a21能辨別?如今信與不信、辨與不辨?霜重風寒,珍重歸J36nB369_p0961a22堂,各宜自愛。」
J36nB369_p0961a23上堂。「臨濟賓主句,在當時皆謂美談;趙州喫茶去,到J36nB369_p0961a24今日乃為曠典。不知古人垂一機、吐一句,殺活並行、J36nB369_p0961a25事理俱備,是為少室家風、曹溪正脈,柰天下人覓他J36nB369_p0961a26來處不著。天華恁麼道,也是臘月扇子只好高閣。何J36nB369_p0961a27故?有眼不識賓主者最多,有口不得茶喫者不少。」
J36nB369_p0961a28達磨忌,上堂。「皮髓分了,賸下隻履,殃及兒孫,無所砥J36nB369_p0961a29止。南北東西,上下彼此,拋明月珠,弄泥彈子。十箇五J36nB369_p0961a30雙,努目切齒,心不汝欺,言都逆耳。范蠡五湖,莊周一J36nB369_p0961b01指。」擊拂子,「一曲胡笳,如斯而已。」
J36nB369_p0961b02上堂。「有一句謾天謾地,有一句徹頭徹尾。大悲千手J36nB369_p0961b03摸不著,淨名一默豈能傳?山僧最不喜人向野狐窟J36nB369_p0961b04裏蹲踞,不許人向佛祖頭邊坐臥,安肯教壞人家男J36nB369_p0961b05女?」擲拂子:「此事而今只好拋在垃圾堆頭。」
J36nB369_p0961b06上堂。「佛之與祖,請出門外。玄之奧妙,放在壁邊。既不J36nB369_p0961b07可主賓相穆,有甚麼敲唱?同時諸人盡是高明,山僧J36nB369_p0961b08一味疏懶。自五更聞鐘而起,洗面燒香,作禮喫滾水,J36nB369_p0961b09日中三餐,夜裏一息,曾不知時節換寒暑,遷頭飛雪。」J36nB369_p0961b10喝一喝。
J36nB369_p0961b11上堂。「殺人刀下,留得性命。活人劍下,鮮血橫流。花街J36nB369_p0961b12柳巷,機機逸格。肉案酒樓,處處精神。一切法是佛法,J36nB369_p0961b13一切心是佛心。喝!不信道:合有恁麼說話。」
J36nB369_p0961b14上堂。僧問:「無味之談,塞斷人口。某甲不問,師還答否?」J36nB369_p0961b15師曰:「言清行濁事,君子所不為。」曰:「千聖所由,無踰於J36nB369_p0961b16此。」師曰:「三十棒。」曰:「天人群生類,皆承此恩力。」師曰:「未J36nB369_p0961b17有參學眼在。」乃拈拄杖卓一下:「莫效張生辨龍鮓,須J36nB369_p0961b18知鄭子試黿羹。」
J36nB369_p0961b19上堂。「寒風刺骨,嚴霜切肌。知冷煖者,自不蹉過。千聖J36nB369_p0961b20近傍不得底,山僧無開口處。諸人如何理會?」良久曰:J36nB369_p0961b21「退身三步。」
J36nB369_p0961b22湛祖忌日,上堂。「無生示生,無滅示滅,逸群上士端不J36nB369_p0961b23從者裏追思;昔年不去,今日不來,本色英流定不向J36nB369_p0961b24此間仰止。若道誨敕嚴明,家風浩大,慧焰亙天,支胤J36nB369_p0961b25繁盛,正是矮子觀場,盲人摸象。要識祖翁真實所在……」J36nB369_p0961b26喝!「垂手懶提無相印,當風妙挾隱全該。」
J36nB369_p0961b27上堂。「山僧事事不如人,亂道生平喪本真;骨肉謗疑J36nB369_p0961b28是讎寇,敢期一曲和陽春?若是本分作家,自不作佛J36nB369_p0961b29法解會。畢竟如何?」喝!「大蟲不喫生人膽。」
J36nB369_p0961b30上堂。「我無口不能道,汝有耳不須聽。適有人從西江J36nB369_p0961c01來,卻說襄州龐居士領著靈照女,在村頭巷尾高聲J36nB369_p0961c02叫曰:『生意不濟,不如歸去。』大眾!你道是甚麼生意?有J36nB369_p0961c03漏笊籬,無漏木杓。」
J36nB369_p0961c04上堂。「言語道斷,心行處滅。迦葉親聞,和心嘔出。無迂J36nB369_p0961c05而談,無闊而行。悟了底須遇人,若披浮雲而睹青天。J36nB369_p0961c06不然,且看虛空裏釘箇橛子。」卓拄杖:「天下不可一日J36nB369_p0961c07無此。」
J36nB369_p0961c08上堂。舉:「曹山辭洞山:『靜久思動。』忙不及閒。洞山曰:『甚J36nB369_p0961c09麼處去?』曉色東原,夜寒南浦。曹山曰:『不變異處去。』寸J36nB369_p0961c10心千里,一札十行。洞山曰:『不變異處豈有去耶?』英雄J36nB369_p0961c11肝膽,盡露酒邊。曹山曰:『去亦不變異。』去就分明,古今J36nB369_p0961c12榜樣。」師曰:「洞山老婆心切,曹山小兒氣驕。視功名猶J36nB369_p0961c13緒餘之事,顯尊貴乃久遠之條。有人於此知得源頭,J36nB369_p0961c14如放下千斤擔子,住無住相,正好盤桓;行無行跡,不J36nB369_p0961c15妨遊戲。不然,再為你下箇注腳:轉步踏翻空劫地,縱J36nB369_p0961c16橫不離腳根頭。」
J36nB369_p0961c17解制,上堂。「脊梁挺起,參黃楊木禪;口門大開,喫白米J36nB369_p0961c18飯。雍雍美盛一朝,濟濟稱為多士,宛然太平光景,可J36nB369_p0961c19以坐嘯乾坤。所恨黃面老漢,半夜裏被星光換了眼J36nB369_p0961c20睛,大驚小怪,帶累兒孫,處處爭喧,家家競鬧,執定死J36nB369_p0961c21法,無有活變,多少人受他羅籠,不得自在。諸人要跳J36nB369_p0961c22出窠臼,山僧有箇暗號子傳授你。」以拂子畫⊙云:「如J36nB369_p0961c23是,如是。」
示眾上
J36nB369_p0961c25除夜,示眾。「若論此事,猶世間做生意底人相似。其富J36nB369_p0961c26商大賈,本自寬餘,利能倍入。到近年煞節,從前細細J36nB369_p0961c27結算將來,一一清楚得去,秖有人負我,曾無我負人,J36nB369_p0961c28才好豐餚美酒,紅爐熾炭,合家老小歡娛達旦,批評J36nB369_p0961c29張長李短,論說古今得失,呼盧喝彩,醉舞狂歌,童僕J36nB369_p0961c30滿前,頤指如意,謂之守歲。若是做經紀生意之人,又J36nB369_p0962a01折了本,冬殘歲暮,事事不能消繳,色色不能周全,罌J36nB369_p0962a02無鼠耗之粟,灶無傳火之薪,索逋連催屢逼,妻孥啼J36nB369_p0962a03饑號寒,顰眉蹙額,長嗟浩歎,蓋本微利薄一至此也。J36nB369_p0962a04吾出世學道人亦復如是,最初擔參方行腳之本志,J36nB369_p0962a05要博悟明己事之利息,涉山川,冒寒暑,棄父母,親知J36nB369_p0962a06識,行門廣大,法海汪洋,作事必誠,履操務實,白汗出J36nB369_p0962a07過幾身,桶底脫落一番,洞見釋迦心肝,深徹達磨骨J36nB369_p0962a08髓,孤峰獨宿也得,鬧市橫趨也得,刀山裏匿跡也得,J36nB369_p0962a09劍樹上安身也得,無絲毫黏染,無一點牽纏,到生死J36nB369_p0962a10交接之際,謂之臘月三十日,自然徹底風流,無窮變J36nB369_p0962a11化。或有般漢,半青半黃,似真似假,既不奮決烈遠大J36nB369_p0962a12之志,不肯受真正宗匠鉗錘,隨流滾滾,業識茫茫,情J36nB369_p0962a13識冤家,步步不離,境緣債主,重重圍繞,驅逐無方,躲J36nB369_p0962a14避無路,逮至臘月三十夜算帳時,頭頭不了,債債不J36nB369_p0962a15清,廬陵米價,不知高低,鎮州蘿蔔,不知貴賤,青州布J36nB369_p0962a16衫,不知輕重,大乘井索,小乘錢索,不知長短,乾矢橛J36nB369_p0962a17堆塞胸次,須彌山聳峙面前。更可怨者,閻羅老子,需J36nB369_p0962a18索飯錢,縮手無措,噬臍莫及,飲食無味,坐臥不安,東J36nB369_p0962a19也嘖嘖,西也囂囂,直逼拶到萬仞崖前,荊棘林裏,諸J36nB369_p0962a20佛無計可援,歷祖無術可捄,喜得狹路上遇著資聖J36nB369_p0962a21長老,善慰他道,不要忙,不妨事,我有大慈悲,有大方J36nB369_p0962a22便,解汝憂愁,排汝疑悶,長汝銳志,助汝峻機。」以如意J36nB369_p0962a23畫一⊕相曰:「向者裏搆得舊時缺欠,一筆勾消,來年J36nB369_p0962a24枉顧,刮目相待,苟或躊躇,父子上山,各自努力。」
J36nB369_p0962a25端午,示眾。「蒲酒三杯下翠樓,石榴花插滿人頭,湘江J36nB369_p0962a26兩岸煙波闊,看鬥龍舟歸去休。堪笑楚屈原向死水J36nB369_p0962a27裏浸殺,致成話柄,亙古流傳,惟我林下人自有本色J36nB369_p0962a28家風,終不肯逐世諦移情、隨時節改步,他方狂鬧、此J36nB369_p0962a29土晏然,艾虎桃符不必高挂,維虺維蛇無處開口,況J36nB369_p0962a30且三角粽無米可裹,雄黃酒非其所宜。」以拂子畫一J36nB369_p0962b01○,曰:「秖將箇雲門胡餅供養大眾,當要奮發大志、鼓J36nB369_p0962b02起精勤,任你橫咬、豎咬,直咬到計窮力盡、想竭情枯,J36nB369_p0962b03忽然咬破,不但人人飽腹、箇箇充饑,即曠大劫來事J36nB369_p0962b04悉在其中,則知三閭大夫不曾浸殺面目,現在汨羅J36nB369_p0962b05灣裏清風愈烈,設使溺於聞見、坐於心識、拘於取捨、J36nB369_p0962b06膠於是非,未免被妄情所轉,更聽石頭老祖道:『謹白J36nB369_p0962b07參玄人,光陰莫虛度。』」
J36nB369_p0962b08示眾。「氣宇擅文武豹略,嘉聲揚佛祖鴻猷,必須頂門J36nB369_p0962b09有眼,語下無私。不然,十箇有五雙,輥向得失是非裏J36nB369_p0962b10去。古人面目現在,不知誰是同儔?」遂舉:「欽山、雪峰、嵒J36nB369_p0962b11頭同到德山,欽乃問:『天皇也與麼道,龍潭也與麼道,J36nB369_p0962b12未審德山如何道?』德曰:『汝試舉天皇、龍潭底看。』欽擬J36nB369_p0962b13議,德便打。欽被打,歸延壽堂,曰:『是則是,打我太煞。』嵒J36nB369_p0962b14頭曰:『汝與麼,他後不得道見德山。』雪竇曰:『諸禪德!欽J36nB369_p0962b15山置箇問端,甚是奇特,爭柰龍頭蛇尾?「汝試舉天皇、J36nB369_p0962b16龍潭底看。」以坐具便摵。大丈夫漢捋虎鬚,也是本分。J36nB369_p0962b17他既不能,德山只得令行一半;令若盡行,嵒頭、雪峰J36nB369_p0962b18總是涅槃堂裏漢。』」師曰:「德山一向如俊鷹攫兔,不假J36nB369_p0962b19餘思,及被欽山一逼,進退兩難。若是見機知變,見伊J36nB369_p0962b20纔跨入門,便與本分草料連棒打趁,不惟作古今榜J36nB369_p0962b21樣,法社足可觀光,何更待舉天皇、龍潭底看?擬議便J36nB369_p0962b22打,豈非銕鷂已過新羅,重布縵天網子?雪竇如此激J36nB369_p0962b23揚,也是世情看冷暖,人面逐高低。資聖雖也與麼道,J36nB369_p0962b24眾中也有不甘者,要為古人作主底出來簡點看。」
J36nB369_p0962b25大慶院安期示眾:「祖道凋零,人心懈怠,欲究生死大J36nB369_p0962b26事者,總要因地端正,辦一片真實心,立一箇決定志。J36nB369_p0962b27所起之因若正,所剋之果必大;所操之志若真,所到J36nB369_p0962b28之地自實。試看釋迦老子捨寶位而高飛,棄尊榮而J36nB369_p0962b29遠舉,六載雪山忍饑受凍,黑夜裏忽睹明星而悟,乃J36nB369_p0962b30歎曰:『奇哉,奇哉!一切眾生皆有如來智慧德相,但以J36nB369_p0962c01妄想執著,不能證得。』在如來謂之智慧德相,在眾生J36nB369_p0962c02即人人本具圓常之道也。所謂凡聖一道,僧俗一致,J36nB369_p0962c03貴賤一途,男女一轍。然聖凡、僧俗、貴賤、男女則必有J36nB369_p0962c04分,謂迷與悟也。其悟底人如遠客還家,如大夢醒,眼J36nB369_p0962c05所見、耳所聞皆是我本有之物,無纖毫疑惑,是為因J36nB369_p0962c06地正而獲果大也;其迷底人以妄習覆蔽,埋於愛見J36nB369_p0962c07坑中,墮於無明網裏,無量劫來流轉生死,改頭換面,J36nB369_p0962c08以尊易卑,於陞於降,以苦以樂,是為因地不正而招J36nB369_p0962c09果迂曲也。即此一地,昔是花果之園,今為菩提之苑,J36nB369_p0962c10當家執事,孜孜不捨,念念不休,搆禪堂,立規矩,鳩道J36nB369_p0962c11侶,起禪期,希望從中有人識得自己面目,了當生死J36nB369_p0962c12大事,以酬出家之志,以報莫大之恩也。而欲感果大,J36nB369_p0962c13有三種心:一者信心,謂信得自己一段大事,與佛祖J36nB369_p0962c14同一受用,同一出沒,洞無餘欠;二者了生死心,謂既J36nB369_p0962c15知此事與佛祖無別,當要鎔愛見習,裂無明網,趁此J36nB369_p0962c16時節,決欲討箇明白;三者精進不退轉心,謂學道人J36nB369_p0962c17危險莫憂,逆順不顧,如逆水撐船,稍不努力,則退下J36nB369_p0962c18去矣。如此做工夫,二六時中,一切境上,朝夕也如是,J36nB369_p0962c19難易也如是,閒忙也如是,寢食也如是,言談也如是,J36nB369_p0962c20或到思慮不及處,用力不得時,連前三種心一齊打J36nB369_p0962c21脫也。秖消歎一聲曰:『奇哉!奇哉!此事如此現成,何必J36nB369_p0962c22涉遠馳求?』到者裏,是謂生死窠臼掀翻,大事因緣了J36nB369_p0962c23畢,歷劫遠客還家,經年大夢忽醒,不必計較思量,問J36nB369_p0962c24其是與不是,可謂五更鐘響多驚起,一旦心空始罷J36nB369_p0962c25參。」
J36nB369_p0962c26結制,示眾。「世界有遷變,日月有晦明,寒暑有往來,草J36nB369_p0962c27木有榮枯,惟我祖師門下不如是。」豎拂子。「此是無礙J36nB369_p0962c28大光明藏也。世界於此建立,日月於此運行,寒暑於J36nB369_p0962c29此和順,草木於此繁茂,諸佛於此轉大法輪,眾生於J36nB369_p0962c30此成等正覺,衲僧於此放捨身命,是謂人人本具,匪J36nB369_p0963a01從外得也。蓋謂識情馳騖,妄慮紛飛,耕空言而恣縱J36nB369_p0963a02矜誇,不痛心於生死流浪,時光甘於唐喪,人心日以J36nB369_p0963a03退墮,生死根塵益重,輪回坑阱轉深。諸仁一笠天涯,J36nB369_p0963a04孤身海角,艱險備嘗,欲辦生平,既來者裏相從,決是J36nB369_p0963a05有志之士。雲門不敢孤負,但要堅實根基,吐盡雜毒,J36nB369_p0963a06如單鎗獨馬向百萬軍中取勝,方為猛勇丈夫。所以J36nB369_p0963a07古德見學者稍不相契,則深切告誡曰:『父母生汝身,J36nB369_p0963a08師友成汝志,無饑寒之逼,無征役之勞。若不堅確精J36nB369_p0963a09勤成辦道業,他日何面目見父母師友乎?』山僧自幼J36nB369_p0963a10閱此語,即知有出生死大事,逮剃染披緇,東遊西蕩,J36nB369_p0963a11參叩尊宿,摸得些影響,自謂已足,不復進求,病患關J36nB369_p0963a12頭抵敵不過,逆順境上消遣不來。後來見愚菴老人,J36nB369_p0963a13略知羞恥,不致虛過一生,信知此事非積劫來薰陶J36nB369_p0963a14純熟,要跳出孃胎,不聆音、不費力,一觸便了,不易得J36nB369_p0963a15也。」喝一喝。
