J36nB369_p0943b04 J36nB369_p0943b05山門。「獨此一門,廣狹無礙,是甚麼人出入自在?夜深J36nB369_p0943b06石馬過丹墀,天曉玉人步天岸。」
J36nB369_p0943b07佛殿。「尊稱乾矢橛,綽號麻三斤。人皆巧言令色,我則J36nB369_p0943b08讜言不諱。」以手加額曰:「賊!」
J36nB369_p0943b09伽藍。「門前綠水長流,室內紅塵不到。欲斬新而壯猷,J36nB369_p0943b10賴仍舊為樞要。」
J36nB369_p0943b11祖師。「途修十萬,來抗天威。九年面壁,決策收餘。兒孫J36nB369_p0943b12作息無憑據,南斗東移北斗西。」
J36nB369_p0943b13據室。「黑夜裏吹滅紙燭,烈日下灌溉瓜田。先哲固是J36nB369_p0943b14應物無方,而直指之道廢矣。山僧自有本分一著。」卓J36nB369_p0943b15拄杖曰:「神龍奮迅,震以雷霆。」
J36nB369_p0943b16拈疏。「彩生夢筆之花,語切靈峰之囑,大闡從上宗猷,J36nB369_p0943b17現前孰不欲聽?」
J36nB369_p0943b18指法座曰:「摩尼光幢,師子座上。三千年前釋迦文,愛J36nB369_p0943b19月夜沽鄰舍酒。三千年後範上座,當風坐笑野人家。」J36nB369_p0943b20遂陞座,拈J36nB369_p0943b21王臣檀護香畢,次拈曰:「此一瓣香,文彩不露,至體全J36nB369_p0943b22彰,聲踰百卉,價聳八紘。雲門散木老祖見一切人玩J36nB369_p0943b23而索之,總教放下。愚菴先師盂和尚猶不許人諂諛J36nB369_p0943b24勢態、妄竊苟求,縱使諸佛列祖舌現廣長、說雄無畏,J36nB369_p0943b25無由窺見一斑。山僧執事巾瓶二十餘載,晝思夜繹,J36nB369_p0943b26智竭情枯,不能▆其少分,因知他是為洞上真傳、雲J36nB369_p0943b27門嫡子,故第四回燒來供養,以表法乳淵源所自。」乃J36nB369_p0943b28斂衣趺坐。龍田柏和尚白椎竟,師曰:「第一義適纔龍J36nB369_p0943b29田和尚已為諸仁道了也,若有承恩得旨者,出來通J36nB369_p0943b30箇消息看。」問答不錄師乃云:「人煙堆裏、鬧市頭邊,有J36nB369_p0943c01妙寶剎,號是天華,微塵數善知識高踞其中,跨象王J36nB369_p0943c02步、吼師子音,闡無量義、化無量眾,俾人人如桶底脫J36nB369_p0943c03到大休歇、大安樂田地。昔我雲門師翁抑以示現其J36nB369_p0943c04中,重開甘露、載肅條章,將石頭一枝無孔笛縱橫吹J36nB369_p0943c05出,近者諧諧而和、遠者緝緝而來,石女從茲懷孕、木J36nB369_p0943c06人由是生兒,故知天華門下濟濟多士,如龍、如象、如J36nB369_p0943c07麟、如鳳、若夜叉心肝、若菩薩頭面,遍天下也。山僧本J36nB369_p0943c08無一隙之明,曷副群情之望?既已置身此箇門中,錯J36nB369_p0943c09落金聲、鏗鏘玉韻,大抵不能好唱箇千秋樂、萬年歡J36nB369_p0943c10可以塞責。」擊拂子:「玉燭萬方喧不夜,東關市上月明J36nB369_p0943c11多。」結椎,下座。
J36nB369_p0943c12當晚,小參。「秦山鏡水之東、蒿壩曹江之西,有一古剎J36nB369_p0943c13位在其中,天下傳聞咸知是雲門湛和尚為重興之J36nB369_p0943c14元祖也。然欲識得其中青山拱峙、綠水匯流,松舞虯J36nB369_p0943c15鱗、竹拖鳳尾,佛燈偕碧落爭輝、法鼓與潮音交響,必J36nB369_p0943c16須親到俯視仰瞻,則自然一一明了,不是道聽途言J36nB369_p0943c17以當生平。果是親履實踐過來底,則諸人己躬大事J36nB369_p0943c18因緣圓證無疑,山僧跋涉艱辛,銷歸有地。若是芳草J36nB369_p0943c19天涯、伶俜海角,悠悠泛泛,志無決定者。」驀豎拂子,曰:J36nB369_p0943c20「若人於現前能信如是法,亦即成正覺,為說無畏法,J36nB369_p0943c21予福、予緣俱所不逮,仰護法檀越推獎以誠、勤舊執J36nB369_p0943c22事翊贊以力,四眾咸集法筵、諸山適臨嘉會,山僧敢J36nB369_p0943c23復蘊藉而不闡揚,特為諸人宣洩去也。」乃擊拂子一J36nB369_p0943c24下。復舉:「雲門示眾曰:『佛法大殺有,只是舌頭短。』復自J36nB369_p0943c25曰:『長也。』」師曰:「雲門徒誇口舌短長以為宏略,非有確J36nB369_p0943c26然不易之理。天童覺曰:『雲門大師自起自倒,要且車J36nB369_p0943c27不橫推、理無曲斷。』此亦循理以全其制、厲俗以敦舊J36nB369_p0943c28風,不必取焉。山僧近離鴛渚以赴天華,身雖勞倦、舌J36nB369_p0943c29不短長,佛法毫無半點,但有一偈舉似大眾:祖翁舊J36nB369_p0943c30業昭天下,古佛鴻猷播域中,欲唱陽春高曲調,大家J36nB369_p0944a01手眼放玲瓏。」
J36nB369_p0944a02上堂。「遠山雨過青如滴,石橋空外看何極?一聲幽鳥J36nB369_p0944a03落亭花,可惜遊人歸未得。」豎拂子:「遊人歸也,我今為J36nB369_p0944a04汝傳消息。」擊拂子,曰:「達磨大師缺當門齒。」
J36nB369_p0944a05上堂。「冰霜千里犯,風雨四時經。不向板橋顧望,即從J36nB369_p0944a06茅店徘徊。沒量大人到者裏,未免抑志狐疑,不得暢J36nB369_p0944a07懷慶快。有奮迅自在底作麼生?」良久,顧左右曰:「若無J36nB369_p0944a08射虎力,徒說李將軍。」
J36nB369_p0944a09上堂。「藥不必以參苓為貴,治病者佳;言不必以嘉言J36nB369_p0944a10稱尊,適時者善。」拈起拄杖,曰:「窮東極西,知深識淺,立J36nB369_p0944a11起膏肓,能超生死,以此為天下式。其痼疾未瘳者出J36nB369_p0944a12來,我為汝分曉。」良久,卓拄杖:「吾技窮矣,聽汝所長。」
J36nB369_p0944a13白雲鄰木和尚至,上堂。拈拄杖曰:「此箇門中,離言說J36nB369_p0944a14相。離名字相,無有變異,不可破壞。在知有者,視之如J36nB369_p0944a15開藏取寶、剖蚌得珠,光彩陸離,如意自在,大暢尊貴J36nB369_p0944a16之猷、永離貧窮之苦。若不知此事之人,無明熏染,生J36nB369_p0944a17死飄沉,隨緣流轉,無斷絕時。那知有大知識,心量廣J36nB369_p0944a18博、深妙難測,施平等慈、作不請友。汝等諸人,若心有J36nB369_p0944a19餘疑,當乘時咨決。」卓拄杖曰:「莫言見了渾無事,自古J36nB369_p0944a20懷思別後多。」
J36nB369_p0944a21上堂。「趙州有四門,曾無障礙,天下人深入者最少。天J36nB369_p0944a22華惟一路,本絕高低,天下人親到者不多。且道深入J36nB369_p0944a23趙州門,親到天華路,畢竟是甚麼人?」拍案一下,曰:「至J36nB369_p0944a24言無滲漏,高坐看浮沉。」
J36nB369_p0944a25上堂。「三飧粥飯,公案現成;二時普請,文彩全彰。到諸J36nB369_p0944a26人根前,要你向父母未生前道來,大似白鳥下灘,平J36nB369_p0944a27沙有跡。閉門接上上機,其柰空懷千古意,欲贈竟無J36nB369_p0944a28因。」卓拄杖一下,曰:「拄杖子為通事了也,知音底出來J36nB369_p0944a29露箇消息。」良久,復卓拄杖,曰:「上下攸同,父子不借。」
J36nB369_p0944a30結制,小參。「頭戴篛笠,腳繫草鞋,陰晴變異而非驚,寒J36nB369_p0944b01暑推遷而不顧。周遊吳地,春色盈眸;循歷越山,秋光J36nB369_p0944b02溢目。但隨好景淹留,不覺霜花染鬢。路逢達道者逼J36nB369_p0944b03拶將來,諸子奇言、百家異說一點也用不著,大似販J36nB369_p0944b04私鹽漢撞見巡鹽官捕,露出闡提形狀,拈起異類淆J36nB369_p0944b05訛,進前無能、退後不得,大家相聚到天華,要尋箇和J36nB369_p0944b06事頭兒。汝等果是奮志不同、心相體信,山僧自有箇J36nB369_p0944b07方便可以解交,故沽些曹山酒、煮些金牛飯、做些雲J36nB369_p0944b08門餅、烹些趙州茶,發頭一發頭已說明了。」顧左右曰:J36nB369_p0944b09「若是那個事,過些日子與汝斟酌。」
J36nB369_p0944b10復舉:「黃龍機禪師偈:『蕭然獨處意沉吟,誰信無絃發J36nB369_p0944b11妙音。終日法堂唯靜坐,更無人問本來心。』」師曰:「黃龍J36nB369_p0944b12欲砥江流將洗,時習冷面冰心,知音者少。雖因艱難J36nB369_p0944b13致感,尚有富家驕態。天華這裏八字無[必-心],兩手撮空,J36nB369_p0944b14權分諸道,機應千差。非是將死貓頭急以求售,竊願J36nB369_p0944b15與諸仁共樂太平。亦有偈曰:聽厭寒蛩秋夜吟,敢將J36nB369_p0944b16一曲唱威音。放開捏聚渾無事,秪要深知此日心。」
J36nB369_p0944b17結制,上堂,兼謝商淨、珺尼智授法衣齋。「有一人在千J36nB369_p0944b18人萬人中,不背一人、不向一人,你道此人具何面目?J36nB369_p0944b19大眾!洞山老祖將九重密旨特為宣傳了也,喚醒諸J36nB369_p0944b20子沈酣大夢,令入聖賢所由正門,馳求頓歇,皆使知J36nB369_p0944b21歸,轉換由人,獨尊在我,這邊那畔施設隨緣,商音羽J36nB369_p0944b22韻唱和克諧,臺山婆展石火之機,鳥道一千里;劉鐵J36nB369_p0944b23磨閃電光之眼,白雲幾萬重。更說甚麼玉線暗穿、金J36nB369_p0944b24針密度,聯絡將來始成片段?如未到者般田地,且從J36nB369_p0944b25聖僧前問箇訊,向長連床上晝三夜三、東輥西輥,輥J36nB369_p0944b26到聖凡情盡處、白汗通身時,那箇人縱不能見,識得J36nB369_p0944b27自己面目也好。」卓拄杖,下座。
J36nB369_p0944b28晚參。舉:「青原思和尚問六祖:『當何所務即不落階級?』J36nB369_p0944b29祖曰:『曾作甚麼來?』思曰:『聖諦亦不為。』祖曰:『落何階級?』J36nB369_p0944b30思曰:『聖諦尚不為,何階級之有?』祖深器之。」師曰:「行劫J36nB369_p0944c01前禮樂,振向上紀綱,眷意實隆,許身甚切。此是青原J36nB369_p0944c02輕車熟路,但惜六祖欠了一著。山僧若在,待道:『聖諦J36nB369_p0944c03尚不為,何階級之有?』但曰:『有一人未全肯諾在。』如下J36nB369_p0944c04得此一語,管取青原別有機輪,自然七祖門風愈加J36nB369_p0944c05廣大。當時既已因循,今日豈可潦草?」良久,曰:「大眾珍J36nB369_p0944c06重。歸堂喫茶。」
J36nB369_p0944c07上堂。「正直捨方便,但說無上道,自其異者而視之,千J36nB369_p0944c08途盡異。以一法入一切法,以一切法入一法,自其同J36nB369_p0944c09者而視之,萬物皆同。我者裏不如是。」拈起拄杖曰:「你J36nB369_p0944c10有拄杖子,與你拄杖子。你無拄杖子,奪你拄杖子。且J36nB369_p0944c11道恁麼是?不恁麼是?」良久曰:「無人知此意,令我憶芭J36nB369_p0944c12蕉。」遂擲下拄杖。
J36nB369_p0944c13上堂。拈拄杖曰:「一大藏教不詮,除此更無方便。悟此J36nB369_p0944c14成聖,迷此為凡。正偏無異,開合皆宜。山僧不得此,無J36nB369_p0944c15以穿佛祖鼻孔。諸人不得此,未能慶快生平。然則此J36nB369_p0944c16箇喚作甚麼。」卓一下曰:「石女腰邊裁兔角,萬事無過J36nB369_p0944c17此事真。」
J36nB369_p0944c18上堂。舉:「石頭遷禪師因道悟問:『如何是佛法大意?』頭J36nB369_p0944c19曰:『不得不知。』悟曰:『向上更有轉處也無?』頭曰:『長空不J36nB369_p0944c20礙白雲飛。』」師曰:「道悟與麼問,石頭與麼答,可謂宮中J36nB369_p0944c21令肅、閫外威嚴,父子機投、君臣道合。龍潭師之而有J36nB369_p0944c22餘,德山祖之而無慊。若是佛法大意,何曾動著。山僧J36nB369_p0944c23平居無事,大眾傾誠渴慕,豈可不盡心力?」豎拂子曰:J36nB369_p0944c24「向後去,切莫道秖者箇便是。」
J36nB369_p0944c25上堂。問:「萬法歸一,一歸何處?」師曰:「此心耿耿誰能道?」J36nB369_p0944c26曰:「趙州道我在青州做領布衫重七斤,又作麼生?」師J36nB369_p0944c27曰:「自古知音不易知。」乃曰:「拖死屍底自不玲瓏,生生J36nB369_p0944c28埋怨父母未生前,人人有箇本來面,處處逢渠都言J36nB369_p0944c29不見。萬法歸一,一歸何處?眼大心雄者知其方便。堪J36nB369_p0944c30笑老趙州齒不關風,眼花撩亂,卻道我在青州做領J36nB369_p0945a01布衫重七斤。寥寥天地放不著邊岸,無夢無想處躲J36nB369_p0945a02根,東抵西捱,全無轉變,不是心、不是佛、不是物,我知J36nB369_p0945a03你憤極智窮,終是難辨,一口氣不來,死了燒了一箇J36nB369_p0945a04主人公,本無位次,豈落階漸?更嫌太殺尊貴。是者老J36nB369_p0945a05漢因想喫飯穿衣,日用現成公案。試問諸人薦不薦?J36nB369_p0945a06薦,金烏飛上玉闌干,蝦蟆跳入廣寒殿。」
J36nB369_p0945a07上堂。「七日以前,要你近前來,你又不肯。七日以後,要J36nB369_p0945a08你退後去,你又不甘。到今日不前不後,奮激不已者,J36nB369_p0945a09進之慮無新功,退之恐失故步。正如病人患隔日瘧,J36nB369_p0945a10寒一回、熱一回,未得輕安。山僧有一轉語,要鎖從上J36nB369_p0945a11佛祖咽喉,使天下衲僧活脫自在。你道是那一轉語?」J36nB369_p0945a12良久曰:「沙裏無油,麥中有麵。」
J36nB369_p0945a13上堂。舉:「僧問玄沙:『如何是學人自己?』沙曰:『是你自己。』J36nB369_p0945a14雲門曰:『沒量大人向語脈裏轉卻。』有僧問:『如何是學J36nB369_p0945a15人自己?』即曰:『忽然路上有人喚衲僧齋,你也隨例得J36nB369_p0945a16飯喫。』」師曰:「玄沙、雲門垂手接人,極省氣力,最為神妙。J36nB369_p0945a17只恐者僧兩腳未曾踏著實地,仍被生死波浪之所J36nB369_p0945a18飄流,無有了日。有僧問山僧:『如何是學人自己?』但曰:J36nB369_p0945a19『入海泥牛奔似電。』者裏悟去,始好開大口、說大話。不J36nB369_p0945a20然,日邊路宜振步,年少場任相羊。喝!」
J36nB369_p0945a21上堂。「頭頭得妙,法法無差。」驀顧左右,曰:「今朝有一鄉J36nB369_p0945a22人趕東關市,左顧右盻,並無好貨。看得箇三腳貓中J36nB369_p0945a23意,買將歸去。放下來一看,恰是泰戲之山。有獸曰䍶,J36nB369_p0945a24其狀如羊,一角一目,目在耳後。遂高聲大叫,曰:『阿㖿!J36nB369_p0945a25阿㖿!』被山僧拄杖子聽見,劈頭一棒,曰:『你是鄉下村J36nB369_p0945a26人,見箇甚麼也敢大驚小怪?他有箇出身句子,倒也J36nB369_p0945a27道得好。舉似大眾。』」卓拄杖,曰:「茫茫天下虛尋覓,此物J36nB369_p0945a28元來本現成。」
J36nB369_p0945a29上堂。「但了本覺一心,步步入圓常之路。若逐無明散J36nB369_p0945a30意,塵塵成生死之輪。」豎拂子曰:「此是本覺一心,那箇J36nB369_p0945b01是無明散意?」擊拂子曰:「此是無明散意,那箇是本覺J36nB369_p0945b02一心?渭水不逢垂釣叟,首陽應笑采薇人。」
J36nB369_p0945b03上堂。舉:「雲門問僧:『甚處來?』曰:『江西。』門曰:『江西一隊老J36nB369_p0945b04漢寐語住也未?』僧無對。」師曰:「雲門秪要垂衣禁殿、息J36nB369_p0945b05鼓邊庭,折衝妙算未為十全,喜得者僧無侵疆略地J36nB369_p0945b06之意,乃使韶陽邦國寧泰。大眾且道:山僧恁麼道,意J36nB369_p0945b07在何處?彼過研窮留念切,自知長短舊來無。」
J36nB369_p0945b08上堂。「市聲浩浩,風冷颼颼。雞啼白晝,犬吠黃昏。一一J36nB369_p0945b09與諸人示向上路了也。得箇入處底,有三十棒領去J36nB369_p0945b10山門外自打。未得入頭者,二六時中上來下去,有迴J36nB369_p0945b11避無迴避。」喝一喝曰:「參。」
J36nB369_p0945b12上堂。「事到二七,推車撞壁。無憂尋憂,平地掘溝。佛殿J36nB369_p0945b13與山門計較來,沒得說。僧堂與廚庫商量底,碗脫丘。J36nB369_p0945b14露柱言其實不會,燈籠則滿肚虛浮。四天王多分擎J36nB369_p0945b15拳豎指,憨布袋一味笑不斷頭。獨有天華拄杖子,不J36nB369_p0945b16識時務,心心要截斷眾流,乃犯眾而出曰:『你者一隊J36nB369_p0945b17瞌睡漢,攢眉合眼,著甚來繇。』」卓拄杖曰:「者回去也,放J36nB369_p0945b18下還將放下休。」
J36nB369_p0945b19俞伯英請上堂。「世間有剛正路頭,唯真本雄才最易J36nB369_p0945b20履踐;出世有省力法門,唯大器上根不難信入。」以拂J36nB369_p0945b21子畫一畫,「秖要於中分析得來,正偏兼到、殺活並行,J36nB369_p0945b22橫也、豎也,經之、緯之,該今徹古,遍界盈空,利益於人J36nB369_p0945b23孜孜無倦,克究於己切切不忘,既銷真俗之名,豈存J36nB369_p0945b24彼此之相?是知一切聖賢原無板定底格式,所謂禮J36nB369_p0945b25之用,和為貴,先王之道斯為美。然則向上秘訣不消J36nB369_p0945b26一捏,為甚如此?霜染多紅樹,山藏秖白雲。」
J36nB369_p0945b27上堂。舉:「愚菴盂和尚晚參次,有僧出禮拜,曰:『求和尚J36nB369_p0945b28開示。』愚菴曰:『與我移燈臺過來。』僧移過,愚菴便喝。」師J36nB369_p0945b29曰:「愚菴老人稟直方剛大之氣,向雲門路上唱出新J36nB369_p0945b30豐曲調,驚得聰者聵、明者盲、語者瘖、行者跛,故往往J36nB369_p0945c01為醉人所推罵。即如者僧,江西、湖南走得倦了,欲討J36nB369_p0945c02個安逸所在將養身心,轉使得他手忙腳亂,無所適J36nB369_p0945c03從,可不吞聲而含恨?設有求天華開示,又作麼生?」良J36nB369_p0945c04久,曰:「今朝天晚了,來日來與你說。」
J36nB369_p0945c05上堂。「南泉斬貓兒,天之未喪斯文也。趙州戴草鞋,我J36nB369_p0945c06知安劉者必勃矣。有般孟浪漢,眼裏未辨青黃,路頭J36nB369_p0945c07不知遠近,便道此心即堯舜之心,所事乃聖賢之事。J36nB369_p0945c08秖可半信是言,半疑是跡。」拈起拄杖曰:「苟得此意,貫J36nB369_p0945c09古今而不失。」
J36nB369_p0945c10因雪,上堂。舉:「洛浦問青峰:『甚處去來?』峰曰:『掃雪來。』浦J36nB369_p0945c11曰:『雪深多少?』峰曰:『樹上總是。』浦曰:『得即得,向後去住J36nB369_p0945c12個雪窟定矣。』」師曰:「洛浦精神滿腹,到者裏憨來憨殺J36nB369_p0945c13人;青峰錦繡撐腸,到者裏朴來朴殺人。總向雪窟裏J36nB369_p0945c14坐著。如今雪漫漫地,有者謂豐年呈瑞、有者言好境J36nB369_p0945c15成吟,也不見人掃、也不問深多少,但聽得人互相歎J36nB369_p0945c16揚、迭為褒美,道:『好雪片片,不落別處。』你道落在甚麼J36nB369_p0945c17處?」良久,以拂子指雪日看。
J36nB369_p0945c18上堂。「願一切眾生與我無異。釋迦老子作如是言。者J36nB369_p0945c19要結識天下好漢,為相罵底對頭、作相打底敵手。爭J36nB369_p0945c20柰罕遇其人?山僧連日來氣悶,也要尋箇鬧頭燥皮。J36nB369_p0945c21一燥皮,不知誰是好手?」良久,顧左右,曰:「量你者些頑J36nB369_p0945c22皮,到者裏也不敢出手。」拽拄杖打趁,下座。
J36nB369_p0945c23上堂。舉:「溈山侍百丈入山作務次,丈曰:『將得火來麼?』J36nB369_p0945c24山曰:『將得來。』丈曰:『在甚麼處?』山於地上拈一莖柴,吹J36nB369_p0945c25兩吹度與丈,丈曰:『如蟲禦木。』」師曰:「但凡天下事,視之J36nB369_p0945c26難見,不敢談論。百丈以後語有漏逗,故天下人得而J36nB369_p0945c27議之,致累溈山,臧否逆順無從定矣。天華結制來已J36nB369_p0945c28三七日,內外安泰,上下交歡,並無餘事相累。」高聲曰:J36nB369_p0945c29「大眾久立,伏惟珍重。」
J36nB369_p0945c30上堂。「同共一法中,而不得此事。釋迦老子既說是同,J36nB369_p0946a01又言不得,惑亂人不少,好與三十棒。要會一法麼?」豎J36nB369_p0946a02拂子曰:「者裏是。欲知此事麼?」擊拂子曰:「者裏是。若是J36nB369_p0946a03通人分上,眼裏也是,耳裏也是,寤時也是,寐時也是。J36nB369_p0946a04不然,更資一路去也。」乃擲拂子曰:「汝若不取,後必憂J36nB369_p0946a05悔。」
J36nB369_p0946a06冬至,小參。「陰極陽生,枯木上花枝挺秀;否極泰來,死J36nB369_p0946a07水裏蝦蟆活跳。空劫以前轉身,不坐千年床榻;今世J36nB369_p0946a08路頭移步,踏開萬丈門庭。村北村南,歡言相慶;人來J36nB369_p0946a09人往,和氣藹然。雖則如是,消長任時,精粗由己。故我J36nB369_p0946a10衲僧家腳下無私、眼中無翳,甚麼處不是分明?甚麼J36nB369_p0946a11處不是自己?豈肯以勢推移,隨他調度?更須知老釋J36nB369_p0946a12迦道:『我昔所誓願,今者已滿足,化一切眾生,皆令入J36nB369_p0946a13佛道。』恁麼,則諸人冰霜苦志、煙水勞心,成佛利生從J36nB369_p0946a14此成就。如有不信,也不得怨悵別人。喝!」
J36nB369_p0946a15復舉:「僧問黃龍:『晦機和尚急切相投,請師通信。』龍曰:J36nB369_p0946a16『火燒裙帶香。』」師曰:「問者若饑渴之思飲嚼,答者憑霄J36nB369_p0946a17漢以待攀躋。縱使沒量大底,到者裏甚處湊泊,何以J36nB369_p0946a18解憂?果要者邊那畔放曠隨緣,山僧不妨通箇音信。」J36nB369_p0946a19良久曰:「歌舞自來忘帝力,精神無限在梅花。」
J36nB369_p0946a20長至,上堂。「化日迎長,慶雲紀瑞,從古至今流布世諦,J36nB369_p0946a21及未來際無有盡時,總不如山僧煮青菜、喫白飯,釅J36nB369_p0946a22茶四五盞、瞌睡兩三回,庭前曝背宜詠清閒,室內垂J36nB369_p0946a23頭不煩絮聒,靜以待陰陽之定,小人自退,復其見天J36nB369_p0946a24地之心,君子可登,也不問榮枯變異、也不管得失淆J36nB369_p0946a25訛,向父母未生前說箇暗號,安排不得處打箇合同,J36nB369_p0946a26表示諸人己躬下一段大事因緣。」以拂子畫一畫,曰:J36nB369_p0946a27「自今以始,靡祉不臻。」
J36nB369_p0946a28上堂。舉:「雪峰在洞山作飯頭,每晨曉色未分便喫粥,J36nB369_p0946a29山問:『作麼生常候得此時喫粥?』峰曰:『瞻星望月。』山曰:J36nB369_p0946a30『忽遇雲霧靉靆又作麼生?』峰不對。」師曰:「洞山極視下J36nB369_p0946b01之盛節,雪峰凜奉上之大經,蓋承胤石頭,其遺風餘J36nB369_p0946b02烈有如是也。後人不解尋流討源,嘵嘵然雄爭奪之J36nB369_p0946b03路、竊自廣之名,亦已大惑,不必較量。秖如洞山舌頭J36nB369_p0946b04被雪峰坐斷,還辨得麼?」良久,曰:「日頭出夜半,照耀珊J36nB369_p0946b05瑚枝。」
J36nB369_p0946b06雪照、洞明送法衣,請上堂。「雪覆萬年松徑,雲遮一帶J36nB369_p0946b07峰巒,到者裏要箇知去就、識高低,其實難逢。果是洞J36nB369_p0946b08然明白底,智照無偏,語絕滲漏,一眼看來,原是一分J36nB369_p0946b09本有家私,曾無始終過患。有般參格子禪底,東摸西J36nB369_p0946b10摸,枉勞功用,紛紜交錯,如醉若狂,有甚麼氣息?」提起J36nB369_p0946b11法衣,曰:「秖者固雞足山中放不下,大庾嶺頭提不起,J36nB369_p0946b12被山僧輕輕提接過來,卷舒自在,長短隨機,簇錦聯J36nB369_p0946b13翩,紀綱佛祖,條目剛大,號令人天。塵塵契旨,無一塵J36nB369_p0946b14不是自己威光;法法歸宗,無一法不是自己地面。凡J36nB369_p0946b15情莫能測度,聖量豈可思惟?不知明眼衲僧云何分J36nB369_p0946b16析?」卓拄杖,曰:「迢迢劫外封疆遠,黑漆崑崙踏雪行。」
J36nB369_p0946b17檀越陶祁音、同室施氏請上堂。「如是妙法,諸佛如來J36nB369_p0946b18過無量劫時乃說之。山僧今日受檀越殷勤之請,可J36nB369_p0946b19以攀條引例。」遂拈起拄杖曰:「以此能含萬有,萬有不J36nB369_p0946b20出於此。若眼裏有珠、耳中有竅底,此處彼處全該,世J36nB369_p0946b21出世間獨得,不用舉一步,遍參法界友,出語蓋天蓋J36nB369_p0946b22地,吐氣為雨為霖,乃見斯文有在,正法可維,慧命綿J36nB369_p0946b23長,子孫保之,更說甚麼陸脩靜喫茶、陶淵明愛酒?此J36nB369_p0946b24段風猷傳不朽,那知琴理在無絃?最好是無生曲子,J36nB369_p0946b25得意彈時須妙手。」以手作彈琴勢,顧左右曰:「大眾還J36nB369_p0946b26知否?」
J36nB369_p0946b27大慶院谷虛、祐儀、師宗、祖機,請上堂。拈拄杖曰:「人人J36nB369_p0946b28有張口,橫說豎說,不曾說著此事。」卓一下曰:「人人有J36nB369_p0946b29雙腳,東踏西踏,不曾踏著斯門。劉鐵磨推倒溈山,日J36nB369_p0946b30麗中天明杲杲;末山尼鈍置灌谿,煙埋古路意悠悠。J36nB369_p0946c01眾中若有人言:『無固無必,有殺有活。』我也知你是矮J36nB369_p0946c02子觀場,隨人歡笑,有甚麼準的。其有堅固大志者,無J36nB369_p0946c03往而不得也。所以寒風緊切,路次迢遙。朝離大慶,暮J36nB369_p0946c04抵天華。難解難入之門,一踏而入;難識難知之法,一J36nB369_p0946c05目而知。無有一毫隔礙,無有一點狐疑。即徐徐謂吾J36nB369_p0946c06曰:『祖翁家業已屬紹隆,向上門風如何展演?』山僧到J36nB369_p0946c07此分疏不來,巧言不如直道。」遂喝一喝曰:「今日有齋J36nB369_p0946c08不喫,定是杭州阿獃。」
J36nB369_p0946c09上堂。「樹道者以人,積道者以信。山僧謬為樹道之人,J36nB369_p0946c10也非是家常籌策,則因坐客長談,與道相違,於信何J36nB369_p0946c11立?今朝稍覺空閒,與諸人動地驚天,說一回胡達磨J36nB369_p0946c12氣苦梁王殿、盧行者跳脫黃梅山。畢竟大鬧曹溪路J36nB369_p0946c13又是甚麼人?」拍案一下,曰:「且聽下回分解。」
J36nB369_p0946c14上堂。「如來一代時教已有人指註了也,祖師千七百J36nB369_p0946c15則機緣已有人批判了也,諸人本分去處已是頭頭J36nB369_p0946c16顯露了也,山僧豈敢相謾?時當深冬,天氣和暖如春,J36nB369_p0946c17大抵冬行春令,寒暑不正,有一事恐不說不知。大眾J36nB369_p0946c18聽著:世事任他顛倒換,蒙頭衲被照常時。」
J36nB369_p0946c19薦一德菴主,其徒靈如請上堂。「生死涅槃,菩提煩惱。」J36nB369_p0946c20擊拂子曰:「一擊百雜碎,小家子未識。木中有火,礦裏J36nB369_p0946c21有金,固是放不開,捏不聚。若出格丈夫領得少分,就J36nB369_p0946c22在凡庸,即登寶位。身前身後,無不風光;自西自東,隨J36nB369_p0946c23處安樂。可見此箇門中,求其生死染淨,迷悟去來,原J36nB369_p0946c24不可得。那論機感即生,緣盡即滅。擾擾紛紛,全無定J36nB369_p0946c25止。且一德菴主生前標致,一味清奇。末後常光,了然J36nB369_p0946c26頓現。其靈如轉從山僧邊覓,一似山頭採藻,海底尋J36nB369_p0946c27針。雖然,不可孤其來意,與汝說箇諦當。」豎拂子曰:「雪J36nB369_p0946c28飄未減山頭翠,雨過重添竹上青。」
J36nB369_p0946c29一燈出關,請上堂。「大地是玄關,虛空為鎖鑰,開合不J36nB369_p0946c30違時,出入何定法?有本領底衲僧到者裏,晝見日、夜J36nB369_p0947a01見星,奮勇作為、勞倦休息,人境交加、好惡兼到,舉心J36nB369_p0947a02即錯、動念即乖,縱使蓋覆,蓋覆不來,雖欲顯現,顯現J36nB369_p0947a03不得。如今打破關、掣開鎖,袈裟裹亂雲、草鞋入鬧市,J36nB369_p0947a04東西南北自在優游,上下四維誰敢等匹?若到天華J36nB369_p0947a05門下勘過了,且向一邊立地。何故?漁舟野渡吹橫笛,J36nB369_p0947a06雪曲蘆灣幾箇聞?」
J36nB369_p0947a07晚參。舉:「趙州問僧:『曾到此間麼?』僧曰:『曾到。』州曰:『喫茶J36nB369_p0947a08去。』又問一僧:『曾到此間麼?』僧曰:『不曾到。』州曰:『喫茶去。』J36nB369_p0947a09院主曰:『和尚為甚麼曾到也喫茶去?不曾到也喫茶J36nB369_p0947a10去?』州喚院主,主應諾,州曰:『喫茶去。』」師曰:「趙州古佛展J36nB369_p0947a11拓家務,游刃成風,尊卑一致,彼此同歡,本欲弘相見J36nB369_p0947a12親厚之道,卻被院主捉了破綻。」乃呵呵大笑,曰:「大眾!J36nB369_p0947a13你道笑箇甚麼?我笑百二十歲老趙州,因人碌碌不J36nB369_p0947a14得安閒,故遺話柄在人間。」
J36nB369_p0947a15開山湛和尚忌日,上堂。「大聖人為向上不傳之祕密J36nB369_p0947a16而出現於世也,若天地之量化育萬物而無所不行,J36nB369_p0947a17猶日月之光洞照十虛而無所不到。及乎化事告終,J36nB369_p0947a18人甚深大,定以海印三昧印眾生心,觀根大小,應機J36nB369_p0947a19而說,深遠悠長,無有間歇。恁麼,則我師翁示滅以來J36nB369_p0947a20已四十六年,其動靜寒溫、興居食息,未常與諸人須J36nB369_p0947a21臾離也。設使信不堅強、疑不消化,山僧擔出師翁舊J36nB369_p0947a22時拍板、唱出師翁舊時曲譜,令未聞者皆悉得聞。」卓J36nB369_p0947a23拄杖,喝一喝。
J36nB369_p0947a24上堂。舉拂子曰:「者一著子,釋迦老子拈起後,未曾有J36nB369_p0947a25人拈著;達磨大師直指後,未曾有人指著。山僧豈是J36nB369_p0947a26不欲分付?總要待箇時節。今朝臘月初五日,與諸人J36nB369_p0947a27揭示去也。」擲拂子曰:「斟酌萬殊底,自無錯謬。」
J36nB369_p0947a28臘八,解制,兼謝文慧眾道侶齋,上堂。「有脩有證,捏目J36nB369_p0947a29生花;無作無為,迷宗失旨。天南孤客,地北畸人;撥草J36nB369_p0947a30瞻風,勞筋苦骨。口不亂言,身不苟動;坐斷諸緣而堅J36nB369_p0947b01執,泯忘一切而守愚。極思慮而未聞獲益,費日月而J36nB369_p0947b02不見成功。譬如大富長者家子,拋棄本有如意受用,J36nB369_p0947b03甘自飄零,沿門乞丐。有般漢聞著如此語言,心憤憤、J36nB369_p0947b04口悱悱,卻道:『淨飯王太子捨王宮往雪山,夜裏睹見J36nB369_p0947b05明星。還算得麼?』山僧但曰:『錯。』且道:是世尊錯?是山僧J36nB369_p0947b06錯?是諸人錯?若簡點得出,表裏如一,動靜無二;有馬J36nB369_p0947b07騎馬,有船坐船。大輅山文慧禪士領一隊善信道侶,J36nB369_p0947b08謹設伊蒲,竭誠祖餞。如清楚不來,住底住兮去底去,J36nB369_p0947b09極分明事莫生疑。」
J36nB369_p0947b10上堂。「烏鴉鬧亂寒煙,白鷺斜飛細雨。三三兩兩行人,J36nB369_p0947b11去去來來遊子。若能和會,事同一家。如不了知,對面J36nB369_p0947b12千里。」擊拂子曰:「此是山僧真實語。」
J36nB369_p0947b13上堂。「勾踐破吳之節制,燔臺而鼓之,使民赴火者,賞J36nB369_p0947b14在火也;臨江而鼓之,使民赴水者,賞在水也。祖師策J36nB369_p0947b15人之號令,為生死而鼓之,使人經危冒險而無顧心J36nB369_p0947b16者,賞在道也。其說如伊三點,不無優劣。有人撿點得J36nB369_p0947b17出者,賞一柄龜毛拂子。」良久,無人出。「若然,則山僧打J36nB369_p0947b18退鼓去也。」卓拄杖,下座。
J36nB369_p0947b19除夜,小參。「波波汲汲成狼藉,銷算分明在今日,若有J36nB369_p0947b20絲毫理不清,來朝觸緒仍啾唧。道流聚首益關情,大J36nB369_p0947b21事因緣未了畢,孤身瓢笠百城遊,寒暑推遷任南北。J36nB369_p0947b22最親父母遠拋離,於師恩厚論年隔,卓異英風漠不J36nB369_p0947b23聞,情波識浪幾時息?死生若夢路漫漫,不顧雪飛頭J36nB369_p0947b24上白,生平究竟欲何為?東討西尋徒費力。密意當知J36nB369_p0947b25在汝邊,放下癡狂本不失,一聲㘞地眼睛開,知燈是J36nB369_p0947b26火無疑惑。法苑摧殘實可傷,說著石人也淚滴,敢望J36nB369_p0947b27空群汗血駒,奮威共挽曹溪脈。我慚弱骨不堪支,拊J36nB369_p0947b28躬循省面常赤,適臨除夜歎浮沉,好是推車撞著壁。J36nB369_p0947b29賴有先宗標格存,隨家豐儉可憑式,蕭疏風味與君J36nB369_p0947b30傾,靠倒虛空煩久立。決是諸仁入耳難,珍重歸堂喫J36nB369_p0947c01茶歇。」
J36nB369_p0947c02復舉:「禾山師陰禪師因僧問:『王子未來登,何人當治J36nB369_p0947c03化?』山曰:『閫外不行邊塞令,將軍不致太平年。』僧曰:『恁J36nB369_p0947c04麼則治化之功不當。』山曰:『亦有當。』僧曰:『如何是當?』山J36nB369_p0947c05曰:『十方國土盡屬於王。』」師曰:「惟上意可能品位群僚,J36nB369_p0947c06非群僚無以宣傳上意。上下和融,正偏兼到,固宜推J36nB369_p0947c07重於禾山。欲闡明尊貴一路,終非容易。天華門下,飯J36nB369_p0947c08香脫粟,羹厭黃虀。舉事無異同之事,用心乃佛祖之J36nB369_p0947c09心。非大猷不陳於前,有正令必行於外。從年頭至年J36nB369_p0947c10尾,家風如此。要顯示尊貴一路,極是不難。」良久,顧左J36nB369_p0947c11右曰:「爐邊話徹生平事,天上遙分曉色來。」
J36nB369_p0947c12元旦,上堂。「般若海闊,入之者方悟無邊;法性山高,升J36nB369_p0947c13之者乃知彌進。茲逢元旦首祚,泰運當隮,寶爐香散,J36nB369_p0947c14瑞靄騰天,黃閣簾垂,嵩呼震地,妙挾全該,渾忘尊貴,J36nB369_p0947c15萬機普應,豈坐今時?正恁麼時,十方國土玉燭風高,J36nB369_p0947c16一切人民光明遂業,我衲僧家放憨林下悅豫時常,J36nB369_p0947c17水土恩深,檀扉德曼,合酬本願之懷,共助無為之化。J36nB369_p0947c18而今大眾已入般若海、升法性山,秖如道睿算無疆,J36nB369_p0947c19如何仰祝?野老一杯復一笑,村童相樂太平年。」
J36nB369_p0947c20劉子莊保安請上堂。「是法甚深奧,夾竹梅花浮暗香;J36nB369_p0947c21少有能信者,隔樹黃鸝報好音。及乎道箇現成公案,J36nB369_p0947c22不假思惟,便將日用尋常底點胸點脅,如獲髻珠,都J36nB369_p0947c23無實義。大丈夫漢胸襟廣大,機略神奇,向佛未出世、J36nB369_p0947c24祖不西來時,一拳拳倒百億須彌、一趯趯翻大千剎J36nB369_p0947c25海,則知造諸惡業是幻、起諸善法是幻,然後入真入J36nB369_p0947c26俗、無異無同,丹霄獨步、砥柱中流,開示一切、拔濟群J36nB369_p0947c27生,可令病者瘥、聵者聰,如迷忽悟、如暗得燈,惟此一J36nB369_p0947c28門最為尊貴。雖然,更有一句子道得來,身心悅豫,慧J36nB369_p0947c29算無窮。山僧不能言,待拄杖子轉一語。」卓拄杖,曰:「錦J36nB369_p0947c30繡春如許,憑君子細看。」
J36nB369_p0948a01上堂。「嘗之而無味,視之而無形,不可傳於人。趙州親J36nB369_p0948a02見南泉鎮州出大蘿蔔,端的將來,猶如馬上看山色、J36nB369_p0948a03夢中把酒卮,有什麼意味?佛殿前立,僧堂裏行,誰敢J36nB369_p0948a04謾汝?大家在者裏尋常底如何道?」良久,顧眾曰:「日不J36nB369_p0948a05知夜,月不知晝。」
J36nB369_p0948a06據新室,晚參。「繼文之業,立武之功。道吾舞笏,石鞏張J36nB369_p0948a07弓。若能如是信解,不生法相。」卓拄杖曰:「飛閣捲簾圖J36nB369_p0948a08畫裏,青山無限白雲中。」
J36nB369_p0948a09上堂。「烏衣梁上口喃喃,已極分明豈用參?但見春光J36nB369_p0948a10欲歸去,殘紅遍野問誰諳?老釋迦為大事因緣而出、J36nB369_p0948a11胡達磨以單傳密印而來,將謂有多少奇特?山僧有J36nB369_p0948a12一句,只是不舉向諸人。何故?時清自古厭談兵。」
