J36nB359_p0646c05順治壬辰秋,在青龍隆福寺受請入院。
J36nB359_p0646c06三門。「彌勒樓閣,彈指方開;大解脫門,互古如斯。」顧左J36nB359_p0646c07右云:「霧涌霞蒸無窒礙,龍驤鳳翥一時來。」
J36nB359_p0646c08佛殿。「碧玉階前,黃金殿上,覿面相逢,當仁不讓。」喝一J36nB359_p0646c09喝,作禮三拜。
J36nB359_p0646c10伽藍。「內護外護,互相佐助。更有一言,聊為露布。若要J36nB359_p0646c11佛法興隆,四事先須完具。」
J36nB359_p0646c12祖師。「西乾一花,震旦現瑞,惹得兒孫鼓粥飯氣。畢竟J36nB359_p0646c13以何為驗?」爇香,云:「揭諦揭諦,波羅揭諦。」
J36nB359_p0646c14方丈。「據斯室也,權衡佛祖、陶誘人天;行斯令也,活捉J36nB359_p0646c15獰龍、生擒虎兕。直饒分金鋀於言下、辨邪正於棒頭,J36nB359_p0646c16較量將來猶是尋常事。且如何是格外提持?」橫按拄J36nB359_p0646c17杖,云:「天下衲僧跳不出。」
J36nB359_p0646c18開堂。拈疏云:「大眾見麼?五車莫能載,三藏安可收?百J36nB359_p0646c19千三昧、無量玅義,總向者一毫頭上漏洩了也。」
J36nB359_p0646c20法座。「者箇所在,三世諸佛不敢正坐,歷代祖師只可J36nB359_p0646c21傍居,且道是甚麼人行履處?」喝一喝,便陞座。拈香祝J36nB359_p0646c22聖畢,懷中出香云:「此一瓣香,類不齊,混不得,嗅著則J36nB359_p0646c23鼻穿,觸之則腦裂,第五回供養本府蕺山戒珠堂上J36nB359_p0646c24瑞白雪老和尚,用酬法乳之恩。」就座,白椎竟,師云:「架J36nB359_p0646c25養由箭,垂任氏鉤,中則穿楊破的,得則修鯨巨鰲。」拈J36nB359_p0646c26拄杖云:「新能仁無此閒家具,唯有木上座要與諸人J36nB359_p0646c27相見。」問:「弁嶽峰移秦朢前,鐵輪一線碧雲牽,未審兩J36nB359_p0646c28峰相見說甚麼?」師云:「鑑湖波底火雲飛。」進云:「萬仞峰J36nB359_p0646c29前句,不與白雲齊。」師云:「你道甚麼?」進云:「一言迥出青J36nB359_p0646c30霄外,直得崑崙顛倒走。」師打云:「情知不是弄潮人。」乃J36nB359_p0647a01云:「峨峨寶殿,八面玲瓏,晃晃珠簾,千光掩映,鐘聲徹J36nB359_p0647a02閭閻之夢,佛火騰斗牛之墟,頭頭共闡宗乘,物物全J36nB359_p0647a03彰祖令,門風廣大,迥絕遮攔。苟能直下承當,正好全J36nB359_p0647a04身擔荷,鬧市叢中不礙安禪,嵯峨峰頂何妨鼓櫂?拈J36nB359_p0647a05莖艸涌出瓊樓玉殿,施滴水化作乳酪醍醐,直教螻J36nB359_p0647a06蟻醯雞共現遮那之玅相,艸木纖芥同轉不退之法J36nB359_p0647a07輪,速證無為,敷揚聖化。」良久,云:「會麼?掀翻玅解求知J36nB359_p0647a08己,撥轉機關見太平。」復舉:「僧問投子:『如何是諸佛出J36nB359_p0647a09世一大事因緣?』投云:『今日尹司空請老僧開堂。』」乃云:J36nB359_p0647a10「諸方號投子有逸群之辯,被者僧一拶,直得七花八J36nB359_p0647a11裂了也。今日有問能仁:『如何是諸佛出世一大事因J36nB359_p0647a12緣?』但道:『石女三更挑蜀錦,木童日午剔金燈。』大眾!且J36nB359_p0647a13道與古人是同?是別?」結椎,下座。
J36nB359_p0647a14結制,上堂。「秦朢峰撐天拄地,清涼塔摩古盪今,白雲J36nB359_p0647a15并而莫齊,明月照而無影,不落功勳,渾超向背,說甚J36nB359_p0647a16身心安居、平等性智?便可高揖釋迦、不拜彌勒,一任J36nB359_p0647a17長連床上舒腳橫眠,作箇灑灑落落閒道人去。儻或J36nB359_p0647a18半信半疑,能仁別開一副新爐韛,只教諸人按下雲J36nB359_p0647a19頭,通身煆煉一番始得。何故?不見道:世念一毫鎔不J36nB359_p0647a20盡,功名捷徑在煙霞。」
J36nB359_p0647a21啟建水陸道場,請上堂。「震法雷,擊法鼓,布慈雲兮灑J36nB359_p0647a22甘露,龍象蹴蹋潤無邊,三乘五性皆惺悟。」卓拄杖,云:J36nB359_p0647a23「法雷已震,法鼓已擊,諸人還徹也未?果能徹去,華藏J36nB359_p0647a24界中不妨遊戲,毘盧頂上一任縱橫,拈一花而供養J36nB359_p0647a25無量如來、施一塵而包含無量世界,作空華之佛事、J36nB359_p0647a26興水月之道場,於一毫端現寶王剎、坐微塵裏轉大J36nB359_p0647a27法輪,普令在會男女緇素、諸天魔梵、水陸空行、毛群J36nB359_p0647a28羽族共悟真常、同臻覺岸,靈山一會今日猶在。雖然,J36nB359_p0647a29唯有能仁拄杖子不在裏許。因甚如此?」卓一卓,云:「他J36nB359_p0647a30家自有通霄路。」
J36nB359_p0647b01上堂。「藏舟於壑,藏山於澤,乃至藏天下於天下。」卓拄J36nB359_p0647b02杖,云:「適來拄杖子變作娑竭大龍,一時攪動三千大J36nB359_p0647b03千世界,上至有頂、下及水際,其中所有山河國土、諸J36nB359_p0647b04佛眾生,一口吞盡了也。諸禪德!還覺也未?若也不覺J36nB359_p0647b05不知,不如歸堂去,莫被雨打溼眉毛好。」
J36nB359_p0647b06水陸道場圓滿,上堂。「實際理地不立纖塵,功德林中J36nB359_p0647b07那舍一法?那舍一法處而千機俱寢,不立纖塵時而J36nB359_p0647b08六度齊彰。苟能如是,朝往西天、暮歸東土,終日行而J36nB359_p0647b09無所行,喝碎虛空、踢翻大海;終日作而無所作,以法J36nB359_p0647b10界為伽藍、盡虛空作寶所,宏開大施之門、共建無遮J36nB359_p0647b11之會,擇火拈香總在裏許、獻花酌水不離其中,步步J36nB359_p0647b12無非玅用、頭頭獨露神通,攝剎海於毫端、融聖凡於J36nB359_p0647b13一念,直得河沙含識共悟無生、法界有情同圓種智。J36nB359_p0647b14雖然,只如功德圓滿、佛事周隆又如何道?金雞抱子J36nB359_p0647b15歸霄漢,玉兔懷胎入紫微。」
J36nB359_p0647b16至顯聖,請上堂。「王令稍嚴,誰敢犯禁?祖師門下,密不J36nB359_p0647b17通風。適承方丈和尚慈命,固不獲辭,暫為諸兄聊露J36nB359_p0647b18一線,有激揚者不妨請出。」問:「逢強即弱,遇柔即剛,未J36nB359_p0647b19是好手。忽遇作家,不犯鋒鋩,又作麼生?」師云:「你像似J36nB359_p0647b20箇作家。」進云:「知心有幾人?」師云:「又恁麼去。」進云:「若不J36nB359_p0647b21藍田射石虎,幾乎誤殺李將軍。」師云:「看老和尚分上。」J36nB359_p0647b22乃云:「栴檀林裏鬱密森森,獅子窟中爪牙凜凜,耶水J36nB359_p0647b23千尋而莫測,爐峰萬仞而奚攀?不唯門風高峻,抑且J36nB359_p0647b24殊特非常,躑躅影響不勞向前,異目超宗方堪承紹。J36nB359_p0647b25若如是也,一任橫拈寶劍、倒握金錘,縱橫逆順,鬼神J36nB359_p0647b26莫知其蹤;瀟灑風流,佛祖罔測其源。可以作尊中之J36nB359_p0647b27尊、主中之主,發一言而千峰落色,露一機而萬派朝J36nB359_p0647b28宗,四眾聞之魂飛,諸方見之膽喪。正恁麼時如何委J36nB359_p0647b29悉?」揮拂,云:「但能不觸當今諱,也勝前朝斷舌才。」
J36nB359_p0647b30至蜀阜,啟明和尚請上堂。「垂浸月鉤,慣釣鯨鯢,張恢J36nB359_p0647c01天網,羅籠鳳鷟,琢磨良玉,煆煉精金,曲成萬物而不J36nB359_p0647c02為其巧,化溢天地而不伐其功,更與一切人挫其銳、J36nB359_p0647c03解其紛,虛而往、實而歸,此是蜀阜和尚土苴緒餘,能J36nB359_p0647c04仁到來作何去就?所謂代大匠斲者,希有不傷手矣。」J36nB359_p0647c05拈拄杖,云:「幸有箇木上座在,且道木上座說箇甚麼J36nB359_p0647c06即得?」卓一卓,云:「不會作客,難為主人。」
J36nB359_p0647c07冬至,上堂。「密室灰飛,寒江解凍,岸柳回青,隴梅破夢。J36nB359_p0647c08此是小往大來,否極泰興,陰陽消長,自然之理。唯有J36nB359_p0647c09衲僧家見處不然,鵠不自白、烏不自黑,松不自直、棘J36nB359_p0647c10不自曲,熱則各自熱,寒則各自寒。昨夜冷灰裏一粒J36nB359_p0647c11豆爆,驚得堂中聖僧浹背汗流,鼻孔裏飛出箇蠮螉J36nB359_p0647c12子,鼓翼徘徊,似我似我,然後變作箇衝天俊鷂,飛過J36nB359_p0647c13新羅國去了也。爾等孟八郎還見麼?此言如不信,更J36nB359_p0647c14請問庖羲。」
J36nB359_p0647c15顯聖三老和尚至,引座。卓拄杖云:「大眾!還知者消息J36nB359_p0647c16麼?今日地搖六震,天雨四花,所謂曼陀羅華、摩訶曼J36nB359_p0647c17陀羅華、曼殊沙華、摩訶曼殊沙華,復有樓閣雲、寶蓋J36nB359_p0647c18雲、幢幡雲、帝青雲、光明雲、大光明雲,即時無量國土J36nB359_p0647c19為一國土、無量光明為一光明、無量莊嚴為一莊嚴,J36nB359_p0647c20如寶絲網交光相羅,直得蕺山亭踊躍歡喜,不覺𨁝J36nB359_p0647c21跳上兜率內院,撞著彌勒菩薩鼻孔。彌勒問曰:『仁者!J36nB359_p0647c22有何因緣而來至此?』蕺山亭答曰:『今日是顯聖老和J36nB359_p0647c23尚枉顧能仁,非獨人天獲慶,亦乃緇素沾恩。』彌勒合J36nB359_p0647c24掌曰:『善哉,善哉!』大眾!如信不及,即今老人現在方丈,J36nB359_p0647c25特為請出說西來大意。」
J36nB359_p0647c26蜀阜啟明和尚至,引座。「倒捋猛虎鬚,謾誇好手;活截J36nB359_p0647c27驪龍角,猶乃傷鋒。指石為玉,亦涉功能;驅佛使魔,不J36nB359_p0647c28名奇特。須知別有尊貴一路始得。而今兄弟家將一J36nB359_p0647c29箇乾蘿蔔頭禪以為奇貨,逢人賣弄,到處矜誇,此乃J36nB359_p0647c30病在膏肓,不堪醫治,非但山僧無如之何,縱饒盧醫J36nB359_p0648a01扁鵲,只得拱手而退。今日幸有蜀阜法兄不吝玉趾,J36nB359_p0648a02光降蓬門,卻是諸人莫大造化。何也?藥逢善見方為J36nB359_p0648a03玅,病遇耆婆始是奇。」
J36nB359_p0648a04臘八,上堂。「經中道:『身、口、意清淨,名為佛出世;三業不J36nB359_p0648a05清淨,名為佛滅度。』能仁道:『身、口、意清淨,名為佛滅度;J36nB359_p0648a06三業不清淨,名為佛出世。』且道:經中道的是?能仁道J36nB359_p0648a07的是?者裏分析得出,可與釋迦老子同行、同住、同坐、J36nB359_p0648a08同臥、同成正覺;分析不出,莫怪能仁換卻諸人眼睛。J36nB359_p0648a09大眾!風冽冽,霧漫漫,隆冬滴水便成團,凍得烏龜爬J36nB359_p0648a10上壁,變為白鶴舞林端,忽逢鐵拐李,倒跨入長安,▆J36nB359_p0648a11曲滄浪猶未罷,不知已過汨羅灣。」喝一喝,下座。
J36nB359_p0648a12上堂。「梅開臘盡,寒谷氣暖,化主進山,廚庫生色,此乃J36nB359_p0648a13叢林第一幸事也。又經中道:『供養汝者,不名福田,生J36nB359_p0648a14心受施,墮三惡道。』眾兄弟!畢竟作麼生合煞?」揮拂,云:J36nB359_p0648a15「令人堪憶老金牛,飯桶堂前舞不休。急著眼,謾回頭,J36nB359_p0648a16錦鱗釣盡不須鉤。」顧左右,擊拂子,云:「收。」
J36nB359_p0648a17立都寺監院,上堂。「世出世間,唯有力者擔荷;為眾為J36nB359_p0648a18己,乃過量人承當。所以泰山不讓土壤,故能成其人;J36nB359_p0648a19滄海不擇細流,故能就其深。只要挺身向前,那堪逡J36nB359_p0648a20巡退後?向無措足處,正好行履;於無下手處,不妨提J36nB359_p0648a21持。說甚楊岐燈盞、寶壽生薑?便乃同豎法幢,共揚祖J36nB359_p0648a22道,翻蒺藜為甘露之園,化伊蘭作栴檀之樹。因甚如J36nB359_p0648a23此?兩人共一心,黃土也成金。」
J36nB359_p0648a24上堂。「昨夜枕子上作得一偈,不惟尖新,抑且絕玅。山J36nB359_p0648a25僧不敢秘藏,今日拈出,要使一切人見者、聞者成佛J36nB359_p0648a26無疑。」揮拂,云:「一箇烏梅似本形,蜘蛛結網打蜻蜓,蜻J36nB359_p0648a27蜓摘了兩片翼,卻笑烏梅咬鐵釘。儻有箇漢出眾,云:J36nB359_p0648a28『者是前三十年街頭巷尾兒童口裏掉下的,何得寶J36nB359_p0648a29華座上拈來唐塞?』能仁道:『咄!飯袋子,句到重吟始見J36nB359_p0648a30工。』」問:「如來禪與祖師禪是同?是別?」師云:「今日天氣寒,J36nB359_p0648b01凍得龜成鱉。」進云:「雲門寺裏無剩言,和尚今日說甚J36nB359_p0648b02麼?」師云:「你見山僧說甚麼?」僧一喝,師便打。
J36nB359_p0648b03元旦,上堂。左佛,云:「雲從龍。」右拂,云:「風從虎。」舉拂,云:「聖J36nB359_p0648b04人作而萬物睹。於此見得,夜明簾垂,君臣穆穆;紫羅J36nB359_p0648b05帳合,賓主雍雍。四海樂無虞,人人安羲皇之枕;八方J36nB359_p0648b06欣有道,處處聞擊壤之歌。直得物阜民豐,雨暘時若,J36nB359_p0648b07石女吹笙,木童作舞。正恁麼時,且道功歸何所?剎塵J36nB359_p0648b08心念可數知,大海中水可飲盡,虛空可量風可繫,無J36nB359_p0648b09能盡說佛功德。」問:「拈椎豎拂,盡落今時,格外真機,請J36nB359_p0648b10師直指。」師云:「越王城畔越山多。」進云:「秦朢峰前禽弄J36nB359_p0648b11舌,臥龍山上石低頭。」師云:「你那裏得者箇消息來?」進J36nB359_p0648b12云:「綠柳機生齊著眼,紅桃微笑盡開容。」師打,云:「拄杖J36nB359_p0648b13今日也要發市。」
J36nB359_p0648b14祈嗣,請上堂。舉拂,云:「大哉拂子!萬物資始乃統天。」揮J36nB359_p0648b15拂,云:「取不得,舍不得,不可得中只麼得。諸禪德!還委J36nB359_p0648b16悉麼?懷中至寶從來不迷,掌上明珠今古猶在,堪作J36nB359_p0648b17人天之苗裔,亦為佛祖之胚胎,自是箕裘遠紹,瓜瓞J36nB359_p0648b18綿延。堂前露柱拊掌大笑,又是箇甚麼消息?咦!昨夜J36nB359_p0648b19梅花貪結子,令人錯恨五更風。」
J36nB359_p0648b20解制,上堂。「未有常行而不住。」卓拄杖,云:「不得動著,動J36nB359_p0648b21著則埋根千丈。未有常住而不行。」卓拄杖,云:「不得住J36nB359_p0648b22著,住著即當處生苗。」橫按拄杖,云:「你要去,又去不得;J36nB359_p0648b23你要住,又住不得。諸禪德!正恁麼時,且如何商量?於J36nB359_p0648b24中縱有箇轉得身、吐得氣、喚不轉、呼不回的能仁,更J36nB359_p0648b25要問你:錢塘江洪波浩渺、白浪滔天,不假舟楫,你作J36nB359_p0648b26麼生過?若也過得,一任進虎跑、入雲棲,隨喜靈隱、遊J36nB359_p0648b27翫徑山,不妨自由自在;如過不得,腳跟下大有淆訛J36nB359_p0648b28在,莫言不道。」復卓拄杖一下。問:「九旬期滿,聖制圓成,J36nB359_p0648b29布袋開口笑,放去事如何?」師云:「腳跟下紅線斷也未?」J36nB359_p0648b30進云:「收來事如何?」師云:「舌頭上十字穿也未?」進云:「齊J36nB359_p0648c01收齊放事如何?」師打,云:「正好喫棒。」進云:「碧潭處處浮J36nB359_p0648c02明月,綠樹山山翠影濃。」師云:「也是弄影漢。」問:「如何是J36nB359_p0648c03轉功就位?」師云:「白雲片片入幽谷。」「如何是轉位就功?」J36nB359_p0648c04師云:「幽谷白雲片片飛。」「如何是功位齊彰?」師云:「幽谷J36nB359_p0648c05與白雲,從來無背向。」「如何是功位齊隱?」師云:「雲飛幽J36nB359_p0648c06谷靜,徒勞著眼看。」進云:「家家露出元宵月,木童拍掌J36nB359_p0648c07笑呵呵。」師云:「放汝三十棒。」
J36nB359_p0648c08上堂。「山僧自能仁至青龍,一往不覺三箇月餘,未曾J36nB359_p0648c09與眾兄弟商量箇事。雖然,山僧前到青龍時,能仁不J36nB359_p0648c10少一人、青龍亦不多一人;山僧昨到能仁,青龍亦不J36nB359_p0648c11少一人、能仁亦不多一人。所謂法無動轉、法無定相,J36nB359_p0648c12者裏著得一隻眼,一任言滿天下無口過、行遍天下J36nB359_p0648c13無轍跡,豈有彼此之念、往來之情?眾兄弟且道:山僧J36nB359_p0648c14即今還在青龍耶?還在能仁耶?月舟不犯東西岸,須J36nB359_p0648c15信篙人用意良。」
J36nB359_p0648c16誕日,請上堂。「今朝五月廿一,恰值能仁生日。」拈拄杖,J36nB359_p0648c17云:「唯有者箇得力,行則同行,立則同立,世界殞而獨J36nB359_p0648c18存,滄海枯而不息。有時恁麼,皎月晴空;有時不恁麼,J36nB359_p0648c19青天霹靂。玅用無拘,神通罔測。」召眾,云:「只如者箇甲J36nB359_p0648c20子有多少?」復卓拄杖,云:「透出威音不假修,風光遍界J36nB359_p0648c21有何極?」
J36nB359_p0648c22上堂。「昔黃龍道:『老僧今夏向黃龍潭內下三百六十J36nB359_p0648c23箇鉤,不曾遇著一箇錦鱗紅尾。』可惜黃龍勞而無功。J36nB359_p0648c24能仁今夏亦向八百里鑑湖之上撒箇漫天網子,祥J36nB359_p0648c25麟鸞鷟無所不有,豈但錦麟紅尾而已?諸昆仲且道:J36nB359_p0648c26用鉤的是?用網的是?」豎拂,云:「且喜秋風雲外至,蟾宮J36nB359_p0648c27桂子帶香飄。」寒松上座問:「黃龍擲釣於澂潭水底,和J36nB359_p0648c28尚張網於鑑湖波上,忽遇透網金鱗,如何相待?」師云:J36nB359_p0648c29「三更紅日朗。」進云:「多載垂鉤知老手,因齋慶讚事如J36nB359_p0648c30何?」師云:「照破漆燈籠。」進云:「日篩竹影山添翠,風過崖J36nB359_p0649a01花香滿林。」師云:「蟬聲不在綠楊裏,分付行人仔細聽。」J36nB359_p0649a02進云:「一句迥超千聖外,松蘿不與月輪齊。」師云:「也是J36nB359_p0649a03葛藤裏翻觔斗。」松一喝,師下座。
J36nB359_p0649a04結制,上堂。「聞聲悟道,何異臺盤乞兒?見色明心,大似J36nB359_p0649a05尿床鬼子。若是傑出丈夫,不受囊藏被蓋,便乃掀翻J36nB359_p0649a06世界、別立乾坤,擊塗毒鼓於毘盧頂上、舞太阿劍於J36nB359_p0649a07摩醯眼中,直饒德山、臨濟聞風則倒退三千,其餘之J36nB359_p0649a08流安足話會?諸禪德還承當得麼?能仁今日結制,莫J36nB359_p0649a09怪拄杖令嚴。珍重!」問:「弘開爐韝,烏藤點鐵成金;選佛J36nB359_p0649a10場開,白拂轉凡為聖。此是和尚本分鉗錘,如何是直J36nB359_p0649a11指向上一路?」師云:「拔楔抽釘猶不信,洗腸換骨始方J36nB359_p0649a12知。」進云:「一句明明該萬象,出群消息幾人知?」師云:「闍J36nB359_p0649a13黎還知麼?」進云:「若不透龍門,焉知滄海闊?」師打,云:「向J36nB359_p0649a14者裏透過始得。」
J36nB359_p0649a15上堂。「失其旨也,徒修因於曠劫;得其門也,等諸佛於J36nB359_p0649a16一朝。」卓拄杖,云:「者裏搆去,無得、無失,無修、無證,直教J36nB359_p0649a17蜣蜋、蛆蟲同現三十二相,沙磧、荊棘共放百千毫光,J36nB359_p0649a18是凡、是聖,一體無差,情與無情,混融不二。正恁麼時,J36nB359_p0649a19又不妨一拳拳倒黃鶴樓,一踢踢翻鸚鵡洲,有意氣J36nB359_p0649a20時增意氣,不風流處也風流。雖然,腳跟下好與三十J36nB359_p0649a21棒。何故?只知雲月是同,那識溪山各異?」二僧競出,一J36nB359_p0649a22僧問:「二龍爭珠,誰是得者?」師打,云:「一箭落雙鵰。」進云:J36nB359_p0649a23「恩大難酬。」師云:「沒交涉。」
J36nB359_p0649a24上堂。拈拄杖,云:「金鎚影動,寶鏡光寒,急須薦取,勿勞J36nB359_p0649a25眼看。諸公果能會去,說甚目擊道存、指掌意喻?便乃J36nB359_p0649a26聲色堆頭玅運神機、熱鬧場中大興佛事,處處為雨J36nB359_p0649a27為霖、時時作舟作楫,不離世間而常作出世間事、不J36nB359_p0649a28捨有為而常行無為法,正謂非常之事必有非常之J36nB359_p0649a29人、非常之人必有非常之功。且如何是非常之人?」卓J36nB359_p0649a30一卓,云:「禹門浪急非為急,秦朢峰高始是高。」

J36nB359_p0649b06上堂。「風蕭蕭兮紅日淡,山寂寂兮冷雲堆。天欲雪而J36nB359_p0649b07不雪,梅似開而未開。可憐羈旅客,愁聽夜猿哀。相逢J36nB359_p0649b08若得淵明士,攜手長吟歸去來。」
J36nB359_p0649b09上堂。「患聾者,不可與之論琴瑟鐘鼓之音;患盲者,不J36nB359_p0649b10可與之道黼黻文章之美。」拈拄杖,云:「見麼?」復卓一卓,J36nB359_p0649b11云:「聞麼?若見、若聞,又被聲色轉卻;不見、不聞,復與聾J36nB359_p0649b12盲何異?到者裏作麼生折合大眾照顧缽盂?」
J36nB359_p0649b13德琪誕日,請上堂。「說時默,默時說,大施門開無壅塞。J36nB359_p0649b14永嘉大師只會發蹤示跡,不解當面拈出。能仁今日J36nB359_p0649b15別舒手眼,要使一切人脫體受用。」卓拄杖,云:「大施門J36nB359_p0649b16開也,大眾看看,盡虛空、遍大地均是箇心源寶藏,一J36nB359_p0649b17一天真、一一現成,於其中間流出一切真如玅性、菩J36nB359_p0649b18提涅槃、三昧解脫,本自具足,不假修證。且道因何所J36nB359_p0649b19致?是處是彌勒?無門無善財?」
J36nB359_p0649b20上堂。豎拂,云:「者箇非色,不可以眼見,眼見如盲。」擊拂,J36nB359_p0649b21云:「者箇非聲,不可以耳聞,耳聞如聾。者裏轉得一機、J36nB359_p0649b22施得一境,說甚位越三賢、功超十地?只教蚯蚓、蝦蟆、J36nB359_p0649b23牆壁、瓦礫放大光明、作大佛事,毘盧玅相轉不退法J36nB359_p0649b24輪,人與非人性相平等,情與無情一體無殊。若乃沉J36nB359_p0649b25吟,不免重宣此義。」喝一喝,云:「美食不中飽人餐。」
J36nB359_p0649b26上堂。「非心非佛亦非物,掉棒青天去打月。不居內外J36nB359_p0649b27與中間,漆桶爭來也是閒。是風動,是幡動,啞子向人J36nB359_p0649b28慣說夢。對一說,倒一說,波斯夜半嚼生鐵。靈雲叟,洞J36nB359_p0649b29山翁,至今猶在半途中。怎如野老渾無事,睡起階前J36nB359_p0649b30掃落紅。諸仁者!只如能仁與麼道,畢竟意在於何?二J36nB359_p0649c01十四番花信息,一回雨過一回風。」
J36nB359_p0649c02上堂。「向上一路,千聖不傳;學者勞形,如猿捉影。古人J36nB359_p0649c03者等說話,正是赤土塗牛奶。若論向上一路,如天普J36nB359_p0649c04蓋、似地普擎,塵塵剎剎無處不周,說甚傳與不傳?」顧J36nB359_p0649c05左右,云:「適來能仁大似將枚荔枝連殼剝了,置於諸J36nB359_p0649c06人一心,只是不解吞卻。眾中還有解吞者麼?」良久,喝J36nB359_p0649c07一喝,云:「氣急殺人。」
J36nB359_p0649c08上堂。「夫談真則逆俗,順俗則違真。違真故,迷性而莫J36nB359_p0649c09返;逆俗故,言淡而無味。」豎拂,云:「諸昆弟!此是真耶?是J36nB359_p0649c10俗耶?是真俗不二耶?者裏洞徹無疑,翛然絕慮,一任J36nB359_p0649c11你東涌西沒、南涌北沒、中涌邊沒,移斗換星,傾山瀉J36nB359_p0649c12海,鞭叱雷電,羅籠古今,所謂在天而能天、在人而能J36nB359_p0649c13人、在鬼神而能鬼神,此非天人鬼神之所能為。然此J36nB359_p0649c14猶是世諦流布,衲僧分上又作麼生?金毛跳入野狐J36nB359_p0649c15群,嚇得大蟲戴紙帽。」
J36nB359_p0649c16至周浦永定寺,上堂。「一葉翩躚過浦東,金鉤直欲釣J36nB359_p0649c17獰龍。可憐未遇拏雲手,且趁潮頭快轉蓬。」
J36nB359_p0649c18華嚴經圓滿,請上堂。豎拂,云:「若也會去,免得遞相鈍J36nB359_p0649c19置;設或疑而不決,縱以須彌聚筆、大海量墨、虛空為J36nB359_p0649c20紙,盡未來際書此法門,一品、一義、一句、一字猶不得J36nB359_p0649c21其少分,何況沸脣搖舌、拈椎豎拂而能盡哉?雖然,以J36nB359_p0649c22要言之,無邊剎海、無邊世界、無邊諸佛國土、無邊樓J36nB359_p0649c23閣莊嚴、無邊寶樹寶網,交徹互映,行布圓融,重重主J36nB359_p0649c24伴,理事無礙。」豎拂,云:「總不出於者箇。畢竟如何領會?J36nB359_p0649c25桃花紅,李花白,紅白枝枝不著色,可恨年年老子規,J36nB359_p0649c26無端啼落三更月。」
J36nB359_p0649c27上堂。「人人有尊天真古佛,不勞修證,迥絕染污,常在J36nB359_p0649c28六根門頭放光動地。你纔擬議,卻不是了也。」拈拄杖,J36nB359_p0649c29云:「山僧者般說話,其中有兩負門。簡點得出,山僧喫J36nB359_p0649c30棒與闍黎無干;簡點不出,闍黎喫棒與山僧無干。且J36nB359_p0650a01道淆訛在甚麼處?」卓拄杖,云:「洗耳溪邊不飲牛。」
J36nB359_p0650a02半臞禪德薦親,請上堂。舉:「九祖伏馱密多云:『父母非J36nB359_p0650a03我親,誰是最親者?諸佛非我道,誰是最道者?』八祖答J36nB359_p0650a04曰:『汝言與心親,父母非可比;汝行與道合,諸佛心即J36nB359_p0650a05是。外求有相佛,與汝不相似,欲識汝本心,非合亦非J36nB359_p0650a06離。』遂與落髮出家。」乃云:「大小祖師只會說是說非、論J36nB359_p0650a07心論佛,若是生身父母,總未夢見在。大眾!要見生身J36nB359_p0650a08父母麼?」豎拂,云:「看!看!只者箇迥脫親疏、渾忘彼此,無J36nB359_p0650a09去無來、不生不滅,上與三世諸佛共一慈力、下與六J36nB359_p0650a10道眾生同一悲仰,不動步而遍歷剎塵、不揚眉而圓J36nB359_p0650a11證菩提,非但今生父母,乃至塵沙劫來捨身受身、無J36nB359_p0650a12量父母罔極之恩一時酬畢。雖然,只如亡者又在何J36nB359_p0650a13所?虛空擊碎不成團,丹桂香風飄月殿。」
J36nB359_p0650a14至菁山菴,眾請上堂。「能仁日昨棹經苕溪,借路徑過,J36nB359_p0650a15不期遇著一班善友強迫陞座,更教山僧說箇甚麼J36nB359_p0650a16即得?若欲說心,心本清淨,離諸染污;若欲說性,性自J36nB359_p0650a17玅明,迥絕對待;若欲說佛,一切眾生各各圓滿,無所J36nB359_p0650a18欠缺,本來是佛;若欲說祖,唯我祖師門下不立階級、J36nB359_p0650a19不涉修證,一念相應,名之曰祖。乃至山河大地、日月J36nB359_p0650a20星辰、樓臺殿閣、花木鳥獸、蝡蠢之物,一吸一呼、一動J36nB359_p0650a21一靜,無非提持向上,共助諸人發機,豈待清白地上J36nB359_p0650a22撒沙撒土,污薉諸人心田?如此告報,普請悟入。」以拂J36nB359_p0650a23擊香案,云:「但識琴中趣,何須絃上聲?」
J36nB359_p0650a24上堂。「衲僧家須於言外知歸,勿向句中穿鑿,直下如J36nB359_p0650a25鸞鳳衝霄,不留朕跡;大鵬擘海,惟取龍吞。若乃思而J36nB359_p0650a26知、慮而解,正是意下丹青,鬼家活計,須知別有生機J36nB359_p0650a27一路始得。」拈拄杖,云:「看!看!」便下座。
J36nB359_p0650a28上堂。舉:「世尊一日陞座,眾纔集定,文殊白椎云:『諦觀J36nB359_p0650a29法王法,法王法如是。』世尊便下座。」乃云:「一人掩鼻偷J36nB359_p0650a30香,一人與賊過梯,檢點將來,忒煞漏逗。當時待世尊J36nB359_p0650b01正據座時,拂袖便行,不惟自己有出身之路,直教黃J36nB359_p0650b02面老子坐得骨臀上胝生,未有下座分在。何故?賊無J36nB359_p0650b03腳,無處摸。更聽一頌:八十婆婆鬢抹油,巧搽紅粉賣J36nB359_p0650b04風流,可憐一陣催花雨,滿而漸惶下翠樓。」
J36nB359_p0650b05上堂。舉:「昔城東老母與佛同生,不欲見佛,佛至其家,J36nB359_p0650b06母即避之,佛遂放光,東西南北總皆是佛,母以手掩J36nB359_p0650b07面仆地,十指罅裏亦皆是佛。」乃云:「世尊大似向裸形J36nB359_p0650b08國裏誇其服飾,者箇老母雖有些丈夫意氣,叵耐猶J36nB359_p0650b09少機關在。當時直須點一把火,向伊面上照一照,云:J36nB359_p0650b10『你是佛麼?』管教黃面瞿曇羞煞有分。」拈拄杖,云:「還有J36nB359_p0650b11為世尊出氣者麼?馬無千里謾追風。」
J36nB359_p0650b12薦亡,請上堂。「一句截流,萬機寢削,不容朕跡,那涉功J36nB359_p0650b13勳?直得盡虛空、遍法界都盧是一箇金剛體,與三世J36nB359_p0650b14諸佛無二無別。且道那箇是泰寧上座本來面目?石J36nB359_p0650b15女三更吹玉管,曉來滿地落梅花。」
J36nB359_p0650b16上堂。舉:「世尊因普眼菩薩欲見普賢不能得見,乃至J36nB359_p0650b17三度入定遍觀三千大千世界亦不能得見,而來白J36nB359_p0650b18佛,佛云:『汝但於靜三昧中起一念即見普賢。』普眼纔J36nB359_p0650b19起一念便見普賢。」乃云:「普眼似掌心裏覓指,瞿曇去J36nB359_p0650b20鼻孔裏安牙,正眼觀來只好一笑。眾中有欲見普賢J36nB359_p0650b21者,亦不勞汝三度入定、亦不教汝起一念,覿露堂堂,J36nB359_p0650b22要見便見。」拈拄杖,云:「普賢菩薩在者拄杖頭上乘六J36nB359_p0650b23牙白象,放光動地。」擲拄杖,云:「見之不取,思之千里。」
J36nB359_p0650b24上堂。「天晴日出,雨下地溼,秋來葉落,春至花開,饑則J36nB359_p0650b25食,渴則飲,倦則眠,覺則起,山中石頭大的大、小的小,J36nB359_p0650b26棚上瓠子曲的曲、直的直,大盡三十日、小盡二十九,J36nB359_p0650b27問著未有不知、未有不會,只如山門騎佛殿、泥人罵J36nB359_p0650b28金剛,峰頭浪滾、海底火發,燎卻越州東廓門外姓張J36nB359_p0650b29的老李一觜鬍鬚,畢竟是箇甚麼道理?」良久,合掌,云:J36nB359_p0650b30「上來祝讚功德無限良因,和南聖眾勿勞久立。」
J36nB359_p0650c01上堂。「第一義,覿面酬,祖意明明百艸頭,堪笑龐婆無J36nB359_p0650c02伎倆,木梳倒插賣風流。」
J36nB359_p0650c03上堂。舉:「迦葉尊者蹋泥次,有沙彌問:『尊者何得自為?』J36nB359_p0650c04者曰:『我若不為,誰為我為?』」乃云:「可惜沙彌不濟事。若J36nB359_p0650c05是喫生米的,見尊者與麼道,便好和身捺在泥裏,非J36nB359_p0650c06唯免得尊者說道理,亦不使後人鑽龜打瓦。」
J36nB359_p0650c07上堂。「○誠能會去,直教三世諸佛、歷代祖師以及天J36nB359_p0650c08下老凍儂到者裏不消一捏粉碎;苟或未然,不免放J36nB359_p0650c09開一線,別露箇消息。」揮拂,云:「雲淡淡,浪悠悠,滄江萬J36nB359_p0650c10里一輕舟,等閒撒箇漫天網。還有不在裏許者麼?」一J36nB359_p0650c11僧纔出,師云:「收。」便下座。
J36nB359_p0650c12上堂。以拄杖靠右肩,云:「者裏薦得,釋迦老子只在諸J36nB359_p0650c13人腳跟下;諸人若動,則絆煞釋迦。」復靠左肩,云:「者裏J36nB359_p0650c14薦得,諸人卻在釋迦老子腳跟下;釋迦若動,則絆煞J36nB359_p0650c15諸人。」橫按膝,云:「者邊、那邊,二俱拈過;釋迦、諸人,鎔作J36nB359_p0650c16一團。正恁麼時,如何委悉?」顧眾,云:「適來子湖狗咬殺J36nB359_p0650c17玄沙老虎、鱉鼻蛇吞卻溈山牯牛,嚇得那主山神、主J36nB359_p0650c18風神、主晝夜神、主宮殿神通身毛豎,浹背汗流。你者J36nB359_p0650c19些噇酒糟漢還知者消息麼?劍去久矣,爾方刻舟。」
J36nB359_p0650c20上堂。舉:「大顛禪師因韓文公問:和尚春秋多少因緣。」J36nB359_p0650c21乃云:「諸方或曰:『首座不合答是。是乃十成死語、逐塊J36nB359_p0650c22語,所以擯出。』或曰:『首座亦是作家。大顛令不單行,要J36nB359_p0650c23借首座鼻孔出氣。』恁麼見解,何異群盲摸象?有甚諦J36nB359_p0650c24當處?大眾!既都不是,畢竟淆訛在甚麼處?」卓拄杖,云:J36nB359_p0650c25「不因盡法無民,怎得山河一統?」
J36nB359_p0650c26上堂。「覺即冰生,動則影現,不動不覺,猶是病鳥棲蘆、J36nB359_p0650c27困魚止濼,總饒劃斷千差、別行一路。更要問你:雲門J36nB359_p0650c28扇子𨁝跳上三十三天,觸著帝釋鼻孔;東海鯉魚打J36nB359_p0650c29一棒,雨似盆傾。是何道理?檢點得出,今日眾檀設供,J36nB359_p0650c30許你隨例赴齋;檢點不出,且看金剛與泥人揩背。」
J36nB359_p0651a01解制,值雪,上堂。拈拄杖,云:「虛空包不住,大地莫能收,J36nB359_p0651a02還有人提掇得麼?若也如是,一任隨流得玅,左右逢J36nB359_p0651a03源,予奪縱橫,殺活自在。其把住也,乾坤失色,日月潛J36nB359_p0651a04輝,人天絕參尋之路;其放行也,枯木回春,冰河發燄,J36nB359_p0651a05魚龍得游泳之方。正恁麼時,還是放行好?把住好?」卓J36nB359_p0651a06一卓,云:「雪漫漫,風𩖼𩖼,滿眼滿耳莫輕忽,杳然萬里J36nB359_p0651a07絕狐蹤,正是獅兒爭出窟。咄!」
