J36nB359_p0679b05晚參。舉:「世尊纔生,一手指天、一手指地,周行七步,目J36nB359_p0679b06顧四方,云:『天上、天下,惟吾獨尊。』雲門道:『當時若見,一J36nB359_p0679b07棒打殺與狗子喫,貴圖天下太平。』」乃云:「黃面瞿曇逞J36nB359_p0679b08氣吞六合之雄,跛腳阿師施博浪一椎之勇,二者可J36nB359_p0679b09謂人傑矣。論量將來,未是太平風運。諸公要見太平J36nB359_p0679b10風運麼?」卓拄杖,云:「一箭落雙鵰。」
J36nB359_p0679b11晚參。舉:「世尊拈花因緣,白雲端曰:『迦葉善觀風雲、別J36nB359_p0679b12氣色,雖然如是,還覺頂門重麼?』」師云:「同道方知黃龍J36nB359_p0679b13心。曰:『直下穿過髑髏,換卻眼睛,臨危不在悚人,向甚J36nB359_p0679b14處見釋迦老子?』」師云:「也是世情偏向有錢家。僧問雲J36nB359_p0679b15峰:『世尊拈花意旨如何?』曰:『一言既出,駟馬難追。』『迦葉J36nB359_p0679b16微笑又作麼生?』曰:『口似禍門。』」師云:「孟八郎漢又恁麼J36nB359_p0679b17去也。者夥老漢總是隨人起倒,未有了期。青龍若見J36nB359_p0679b18世尊拈花時,劈手奪卻,拋向地下,以腳蹋兩蹋,不獨J36nB359_p0679b19迦葉一人破顏微笑,管教百萬人天一齊拊掌大笑,J36nB359_p0679b20豈不快哉?還有為世尊作主者麼?青龍今晚失利。」
J36nB359_p0679b21晚參。舉:「青原思和尚問六祖曰:『當何所務即不落階J36nB359_p0679b22級?』祖曰:『汝曾作甚麼來?』思曰:『聖諦亦不為。』祖曰:『落何J36nB359_p0679b23階級?』思曰:『聖諦尚不為,何階級之有?』祖曰:『如是,如是,J36nB359_p0679b24善自護持。』遂付偈曰:『心地含諸種,普雨悉皆萌,頓悟J36nB359_p0679b25花情已,菩提果自成。』」乃云:「大眾!還知我青原老祖麼?J36nB359_p0679b26悟不由師,慧乃天縱,一到曹溪便蒙付囑,可謂龍吟J36nB359_p0679b27霧驟、虎嘯風生,翼乎猶鴻毛遇於順風、沛乎似巨魚J36nB359_p0679b28縱於大壑,此是君聖臣賢、師資道合,千載一時也,詎J36nB359_p0679b29可視為等閒?青龍昔年行腳曾見一頌,貶青原為情J36nB359_p0679b30存兩頭,兼有臥龍滯死水之譬,不審此老何所為而J36nB359_p0679c01作也?請試論之:青原既不落階級,復何情存之有?聖J36nB359_p0679c02諦尚不為,又安肯臥龍滯死水,然後為翻身者哉?蒼J36nB359_p0679c03天,蒼天!大似以管窺天、用蠡測海,多見其不知量也。J36nB359_p0679c04山僧亦有一頌,不惟與青原雪屈,亦要諸人共委。了J36nB359_p0679c05無聖諦落何階?突出威音類莫該,夜半月明千嶂外,J36nB359_p0679c06韓盧空吠影徘徊。」
J36nB359_p0679c07晚參。舉:「藥山和尚示眾云:『我有一句子,待特牛生兒J36nB359_p0679c08即向你道。』一僧出,云:『特牛生兒也,只是和尚不道。』山J36nB359_p0679c09云:『侍者點燈來。』其僧抽身入眾。」乃云:「藥山恁般為人,J36nB359_p0679c10恰似將隋珠彈雀;者僧抽身入眾,正是著錦衣夜行。J36nB359_p0679c11雖則二俱作家,不免遞相鈍置。當時待者僧道了,即J36nB359_p0679c12云:『我識得汝也。』饒他縱有隱身三昧,也直得藏竄無J36nB359_p0679c13地。青龍若作者僧,待藥山道:『侍者點燈來。』即便推倒J36nB359_p0679c14禪床,更與一喝。藥山雖是通身手眼,不免一場氣悶,J36nB359_p0679c15豈不光前耀後?」拈拄杖,云:「青龍者裏還有此僧麼?」一J36nB359_p0679c16僧拋出坐具,師云:「不是弄潮人,休入洪波裏。」
J36nB359_p0679c17晚參。舉:「雲嵒禪師因藥山問:『聞汝會弄獅子,是否?』嵒J36nB359_p0679c18云:『是。』山云:『弄得幾出?』嵒云:『某甲弄得六出。』山云:『老僧J36nB359_p0679c19也會弄。』嵒云:『和尚弄得幾出?』山云:『弄得一出。』嵒云:『一J36nB359_p0679c20即六,六即一。』泐潭準云:『藥山、雲嵒鈍置殺人,兩父子J36nB359_p0679c21弄箇獅子也弄不出。當時準上座只消自弄,拽得來J36nB359_p0679c22拈頭作尾、拈尾作頭,轉兩箇金睛、攫幾鉤鐵爪,吼一J36nB359_p0679c23聲,直教百里內猛獸潛蹤,滿虛空飛禽亂墜。準上座J36nB359_p0679c24未弄獅子,諸人高著眼先做定場。』擲拄杖,云:『箇中消J36nB359_p0679c25息子,能有幾人知?』」乃云:「者箇獅子非但雲嵒、藥山兩J36nB359_p0679c26父子弄不出,就是泐潭老人手忙腳亂,用盡許多伎J36nB359_p0679c27倆,只好唬神唬鬼,總是一場虛捏怪,幾曾弄得箇獅J36nB359_p0679c28子出來?青龍今晚不惜勞倦亦弄箇獅子,只要諸人J36nB359_p0679c29親見一回,或時嚬呻驚天動地、或時返擲教兒迷子、J36nB359_p0679c30或時奮迅傾湫倒嶽,如是變化、如是威獰,分付大眾J36nB359_p0680a01切忌害怕。」遂以拄杖橫肩,云:「看!看!」一時打散。
J36nB359_p0680a02晚參。舉:「昔洞山問僧:『汝名甚麼?』僧云:『某甲。』山曰:『那箇J36nB359_p0680a03是你主人翁?』僧曰:『見祗對次。』山曰:『苦哉!苦哉!今時人J36nB359_p0680a04例皆如此,只認得箇驢前馬後的當為自己,乃是佛J36nB359_p0680a05法平沉之兆也。賓中主尚未明,如何辨得主中主?』僧J36nB359_p0680a06問:『如何是主中主?』山曰:『闍黎自道取。』僧曰:『某甲道的J36nB359_p0680a07直是賓中主,請和尚道主中主。』山曰:『與麼道即易,相J36nB359_p0680a08續也大難。』」乃云:「洞山老漢慈悲之故,有落艸之談,與J36nB359_p0680a09者僧葛藤一上,看來忒煞老婆。者僧若問青龍:『如何J36nB359_p0680a10是主中主?』便與三十拄杖趁出山門,不唯使者僧別J36nB359_p0680a11有生機活路,亦不教他認著驢前馬後的。諸仁者!且J36nB359_p0680a12道青龍道的是?洞山道的是?劍去久矣,無勞刻舟。」
J36nB359_p0680a13晚參。舉:「雲居膺禪師示眾:『如人將三貫錢買得一隻J36nB359_p0680a14獵犬相似,只解尋那箇有蹤跡的、有氣息的?忽遇羺J36nB359_p0680a15羊挂角,莫道蹤跡,氣息也無。』僧問:『羺羊挂角時如何?』J36nB359_p0680a16居云:『六六三十六。』『挂角後時如何?』居云:『六六三十六。』J36nB359_p0680a17又云:『會麼?』曰:『不會。』居云:『不見道無蹤跡?』僧後舉似趙J36nB359_p0680a18州,州云:『雲居師兄猶在。』僧問:『羺羊挂角時如何?』州云:J36nB359_p0680a19『九九八十一。』『挂角後如何?』州云:『九九八十一。』」乃云:「六J36nB359_p0680a20六三十六,碧眼胡僧數不足;九九八十一,胡餅裏向J36nB359_p0680a21唼甚汁?雲居師,趙州老,羺羊挂角何處討?阿呵呵,了J36nB359_p0680a22不了,一曲陽春猶未終,落花滿地無人掃。」
J36nB359_p0680a23晚參。舉:「臨濟謂眾曰:『老僧於黃檗先師處三度問佛J36nB359_p0680a24法,三度被打如蒿枝拂相似,而今更思一頓,誰為下J36nB359_p0680a25手?』時有僧曰:『某甲下手。』濟度棒,僧擬接,濟便打。」乃云:J36nB359_p0680a26「者僧也解向饑鷹爪下奪食、猛虎口裏爭餐,但惜有J36nB359_p0680a27勇而無謀,卻被臨濟倒行此令。青龍若見臨濟道:『而J36nB359_p0680a28今更思一頓,誰為下手?』即向他道:『者漢猶不識痛痒J36nB359_p0680a29在。』拂袖便行。縱使臨濟有韜略之能、經緯之才,三玄J36nB359_p0680a30甲備、七事隨身,也直得一場懡㦬。」拈拄杖,云:「眾中還J36nB359_p0680b01有為臨濟出氣的麼?」卓拄杖,云:「且放過一著。」
J36nB359_p0680b02晚參。舉:「興化禪師因僧問云:『四方八面來時如何?』化J36nB359_p0680b03云:『打中間的。』僧便禮拜。化云:『昨日老僧赴箇村齋,半J36nB359_p0680b04途遇陣卒風暴雨,卻向古廟裏躲得過。』天童華云:『眾J36nB359_p0680b05中商量道:「古廟裏躲得過,是空劫已前自己。」又道:「是J36nB359_p0680b06他安身立命處。」殊不知?腰纏十萬貫,騎鶴上揚州。』」乃J36nB359_p0680b07云:「天童與麼說話,大似靴裏動指,不顧傍觀者哂。若J36nB359_p0680b08要做他興化兒孫,太遠在。青龍若見恁麼道,便與拆J36nB359_p0680b09卻古廟,看他興化向甚麼處躲跟?」拈拄杖,云:「興化老J36nB359_p0680b10漢來也,大眾見麼?」擲拄杖,云:「退後,退後。」
J36nB359_p0680b11晚參。舉:「臺山路上有一婆子,凡有僧來問:『臺山路向J36nB359_p0680b12甚麼處去?』婆云:『驀直去。』僧纔行,婆云:『好箇師僧又恁J36nB359_p0680b13麼去也。』其僧舉似趙州,州云:『待我為汝勘過。』遂去問:J36nB359_p0680b14『臺山路向甚麼處去?』婆云:『驀直去。』州纔行,婆云:『好箇J36nB359_p0680b15師僧又恁麼去也。』州歸院,謂眾曰:『老僧為汝勘破者J36nB359_p0680b16婆子了也。』」乃云:「有道:『婆不具眼,僧來也恁麼道、趙州J36nB359_p0680b17來也恁麼道,所以被趙州勘破了也。』有道:『趙州老老J36nB359_p0680b18大大,不合作者箇去就,即被婆子勘破。』有道:『趙州與J36nB359_p0680b19婆子同一鼻孔出氣,直是弄鬼眼睛,有甚勘破處?』苦J36nB359_p0680b20哉!苦哉!恁麼會,正是矮子看戲、群盲摸象,非但深屈J36nB359_p0680b21古人,抑且埋沒自己。青龍不惜眉毛,分明判斷,婆子J36nB359_p0680b22也好與三十拄杖、趙州也好與三十拄杖。何故聻?國J36nB359_p0680b23霸孫吳謀略展,才高屈賈是非生。」
J36nB359_p0680b24晚參。舉:「雲門曰:『見色明心,聞聲悟道。作麼生是見色J36nB359_p0680b25明心、聞聲悟道?』舉手,曰:『觀世音菩薩將錢買胡餅,放J36nB359_p0680b26下手,曰:「元來卻是饅頭。」』大慧拈拄杖,云:『者箇是色。』卓J36nB359_p0680b27拄杖,云:『者箇是聲。諸人總見、總聞,且道:那箇是明的J36nB359_p0680b28心?那箇是悟的道?』喝一喝,云:『貪他一粒米,失卻半年J36nB359_p0680b29糧。』」乃云:「可笑大慧一向開大口、說大話,慣好貶剝諸J36nB359_p0680b30方,見解也只如此。青龍要向毒蛇口裏敲牙、驪龍頭J36nB359_p0680c01上截角。」拈拄杖,云:「者箇不是色。」卓一卓,云:「者箇不是J36nB359_p0680c02聲,諸人作麼生見?作麼生聞?若見、若聞,拄杖穿卻你J36nB359_p0680c03髑髏、換卻你眼睛;若不見、不聞,明的心、悟的道又向J36nB359_p0680c04甚處去也?如緇素不出,青龍別有箇方便,分明記取:J36nB359_p0680c05是大神咒、是大明咒、是無上咒、是無等等咒,能除一J36nB359_p0680c06切苦,真實不虛。」復喝一喝。
J36nB359_p0680c07晚參。舉:「洞山與泰首座喫果子次,山云:『有一物,黑似J36nB359_p0680c08漆,上拄天,下拄地,常在動用中,動用中收不得,未審J36nB359_p0680c09過在甚麼處?』泰曰:『過在動用中。』山令侍者掇退果桌。J36nB359_p0680c10瑯琊覺曰:『若非洞山老人,不能明辨於此。雖然,洞山J36nB359_p0680c11猶欠一著在。』」師云:「識法者懼。溈山哲曰:『者果子非但J36nB359_p0680c12首座不得喫,縱是盡大地人來,不敢正眼覷著。』」師云:J36nB359_p0680c13「灼然。雲蓋本曰:『洞山只有打破虛空的鉗鎚,而無補J36nB359_p0680c14綴的鍼線。當時待首座道過在動用中,但道請首座J36nB359_p0680c15喫果子。首座若是箇衲僧,喫了也須吐卻。』」師云:「扶鴨J36nB359_p0680c16上壁。圓悟勤曰:『宗師家正令當行,十方坐斷,具定乾J36nB359_p0680c17坤句,辨龍蛇眼,不妨難趁。若是英靈解捋虎鬚的,待J36nB359_p0680c18他道過在甚麼處,即便拈起果子云:「和尚者箇喚作J36nB359_p0680c19甚麼?」他若擬議,劈面便擲。何故?有意氣時添意氣,不J36nB359_p0680c20風流處也風流。』」師云:「兒時做處老知羞。」乃云:「洞山者J36nB359_p0680c21枚果子酬價甚多,競噉不少,只是罕遇其人。直饒瑯J36nB359_p0680c22琊、溈山、雲蓋、圓悟四大老恁麼道,都只好做他臨濟J36nB359_p0680c23兒孫。若要想洞山老人果子喫,也大難在。何故?不見J36nB359_p0680c24道:出門三里路,別是一家風。」
J36nB359_p0680c25晚參。舉:「鏡清禪師問靈雲曰:『行腳事大,乞師指南。』雲J36nB359_p0680c26曰:『浙中米作麼價?』清曰:『若不是某甲,洎作米價會。』」乃J36nB359_p0680c27云:「可惜放過。青龍若在,好與三十拄杖。諸上座且道:J36nB359_p0680c28者三十拄杖還該鏡清分上喫?還該靈雲分上喫?若J36nB359_p0680c29分析得出,可謂不動步而行腳事畢;如分析不出,者J36nB359_p0680c30三十拄杖上座領出山門外自喫始得。何故?」卓拄杖,J36nB359_p0681a01云:「青龍門下,令不虛行。」
J36nB359_p0681a02晚參。舉:「天平從漪禪師因到西院,居常自言:『非但會J36nB359_p0681a03佛法,覓箇舉話的人也難得。』院知,一日遙見,遂召云:J36nB359_p0681a04『從漪。』平乃舉首,院云:『錯。』平纔行三兩步,院又云:『錯。』平J36nB359_p0681a05近前,院云:『適來者兩錯,是西院錯?是上座錯?』平云:『是J36nB359_p0681a06某甲錯。』院云:『錯,錯。』西院又云:『且在者裏過夏,與上座J36nB359_p0681a07商量者兩錯。』平即辭去。住後,謂眾曰:『我當初行腳時,J36nB359_p0681a08被業風吹到西院思明長老處,連下兩錯,更留我過J36nB359_p0681a09夏商量。我不道當時錯,發足向南方去,早知錯了也。』」J36nB359_p0681a10乃云:「青龍今晚也要與諸人商量者兩錯。若商量得J36nB359_p0681a11出,送你一緉艸鞋,一任天下橫行;如商量不出,切莫J36nB359_p0681a12鑽龜打瓦。有般拍盲莽鹵漢纔聞與麼道,便云:『有甚J36nB359_p0681a13麼難?西院召時,平即舉首,豈不是一錯?平無對,又行J36nB359_p0681a14三兩步,豈不是一錯?前一錯、後一錯,豈不是兩錯?』青J36nB359_p0681a15龍道:『正是赤土塗牛奶。果舉首行步是錯,你只合瞑J36nB359_p0681a16目裹足、閉戶而坐,終不可見天日矣。非但天平錯,乃J36nB359_p0681a17至盡大地人無有不錯者。若恁麼會,有甚交涉?』大眾!J36nB359_p0681a18既不如是,且道:畢竟如何會得西院者兩錯聻?」喝一J36nB359_p0681a19喝,云:「若是金毛獅子子,三千里外見淆訛。」
J36nB359_p0681a20晚參。舉:「保福問長慶云:『盤山道:「光境俱忘,復是何物?」J36nB359_p0681a21洞山道:「光境未忘,復是何物?」據此,二老總未勦絕,如J36nB359_p0681a22何得勦絕去?』慶良久,福云:『情知你向鬼窟裏作活計。』J36nB359_p0681a23慶云:『你又作麼生?』福云:『兩手扶犁水過膝。』」乃云:「盤山、J36nB359_p0681a24洞山猶未勦絕,祗如保福、長慶與麼道,還勦絕也未?J36nB359_p0681a25如未勦絕,青龍為伊勦絕去。兩手扶犁水過膝,通身J36nB359_p0681a26不覺帶黃泥,怎如無事貪眠客,曉聽春禽傍柳啼?」
J36nB359_p0681a27晚參。舉守廓侍者因值華嚴和尚上堂因緣,乃云:「華J36nB359_p0681a28嚴卻似光武,臨戰不懼大敵;守廓亦如李靖,父子久J36nB359_p0681a29慣行兵。可謂一主一賓,彼此作家,但不解同生同死,J36nB359_p0681a30全鋒敵勝,以致二俱露布,未足觀光。若是青龍,待他J36nB359_p0681b01禮拜時便云:『舊日艸本,不勞相呈。』他更擬議,喚職事J36nB359_p0681b02拽出。縱饒守廓機如掣電、喝似奔雷,也只得瓦解冰J36nB359_p0681b03消,一點用他不著。就中或有箇出眾云:『他是臨濟兒J36nB359_p0681b04孫,本分與麼作用。』但向他道:『非惟臨濟兒孫,縱是達J36nB359_p0681b05磨老子到來,也無他插觜處,直須向門外立始得。』何J36nB359_p0681b06故?」拈拄杖,云:「不睹皇居壯,焉知天子尊?」
J36nB359_p0681b07晚參。舉:「歸宗和尚因僧辭,宗云:『甚麼處去?』僧云:『諸方J36nB359_p0681b08學五味禪去。』宗云:『我者裏只有一味禪。』僧云:『如何是J36nB359_p0681b09和尚一味禪?』宗便打。僧云:『會也,會也。』宗云:『道道看。』僧J36nB359_p0681b10擬議,宗又打。黃檗運云:『馬大師出八十四員善知識,J36nB359_p0681b11箇箇口裏水漉漉地,唯有歸宗猶較些子。』」師云:「黃檗J36nB359_p0681b12當時失卻一隻眼。雪竇顯云:『以強欺弱,有甚麼難?我J36nB359_p0681b13者裏也有一味禪,何不學去?但向伊道收,待伊拈起,J36nB359_p0681b14有般沒眼漢只管喫。吽,吽!雪竇門下誰敢?』」師云:「再犯J36nB359_p0681b15不容。昭覺勤云:『若非黃檗深辨端倪,幾乎勞而無功。』」J36nB359_p0681b16師云:「也是錯下名言。薦福先云:『歸宗幸是好一味禪,J36nB359_p0681b17無端傷鹽傷酢,卻成五味了也。』」師云:「何止五味?百味J36nB359_p0681b18也有。」拈拄杖云:「黃檗、雪竇、昭覺、薦福一並檢點將來,J36nB359_p0681b19大似矮子看戲,且拈放一邊。青龍若見赤眼老漢,好J36nB359_p0681b20與三十拄杖。何故?一顆老鼠屎,壞卻滿鍋羹。」
J36nB359_p0681b21晚參。舉:「汾陽因北地苦寒,罷晚參。一夕,有梵僧持錫J36nB359_p0681b22謂曰:『會中有六大士成道,奈何不說法?』即騰空而去。J36nB359_p0681b23汾陽次日陞座,云:『胡僧金錫光,為法到汾陽,六人成J36nB359_p0681b24大器,勸請為敷揚。』六人者,即慈明、瑯琊、大愚芝等是J36nB359_p0681b25也。青龍昨夜亦有土地神稽首謂曰:『承和尚連日晚J36nB359_p0681b26參,為眾說法,雖則誨人無倦,怎奈聽者生懈,令人返J36nB359_p0681b27招慢法之愆。』言訖不見。大眾!且道:說即是?不說即是?J36nB359_p0681b28不說,違上古法式;欲說,恐令人招愆。畢竟作麼生商J36nB359_p0681b29量?」良久,云:「心不負人,面無慚色。」
J36nB359_p0681b30晚參。舉:「高沙彌出菴值雨,藥山見云:『子來也。』沙彌云:J36nB359_p0681c01『是。』山云:『可煞溼。』沙彌云:『不打者破鼓笛。』雲嵒云:『鼓也J36nB359_p0681c02無,打甚麼皮?』道吾云:『皮也無,打甚麼鼓?』山云:『今日一J36nB359_p0681c03場好曲調。』」乃云:「者夥懵懂漢只解賣鹽,不顧看秤。當J36nB359_p0681c04時雲門若在,只向他道:大好不打破鼓笛,更說甚麼J36nB359_p0681c05好曲調?管教者棚傀儡一時收場不及。」
J36nB359_p0681c06晚參。舉:「洞山因僧問:『寒暑到來,向甚麼處迴避?』山云:J36nB359_p0681c07『何不向無寒暑處去?』曰:『甚麼處是無寒暑處?』山云:『寒J36nB359_p0681c08時寒煞闍黎,熱時熱煞闍黎。』」乃云:「善行者,行遍天下J36nB359_p0681c09無轍跡;善言者,言滿天下無口過。衲僧家貴乎言外J36nB359_p0681c10知歸,勿向句中取則。有般抱橋柱洗腳漢曰:『者僧問:J36nB359_p0681c11「寒暑到來,向甚麼處迴避?」此是正中偏。洞山云:「何不J36nB359_p0681c12向無寒暑處去?」此是偏中正。曰:「甚麼處是無寒暑處?」J36nB359_p0681c13山云:「寒時寒煞闍黎,熱時熱煞闍黎。」此是偏正回互,J36nB359_p0681c14玅協兼帶。』者般商量討甚好?洞山早已佛法掃地,所J36nB359_p0681c15謂:欲得不招無間業,莫謗如來正法輪。雖然,洞山者J36nB359_p0681c16樣荅話惹人易生情見,轉多穿鑿,山僧雖是他兒孫,J36nB359_p0681c17終不作者般去就。如有問:『寒暑到來,向甚麼處迴避?』J36nB359_p0681c18但云:『何不向無寒暑處去?』曰:『甚麼處是無寒暑處?』向J36nB359_p0681c19他道:『寒時寒煞闍黎,熱時熱煞闍黎。』大眾!且道:山僧J36nB359_p0681c20道的與洞山道的是同?是別?具眼者檢點得出,方知J36nB359_p0681c21春色無高下;檢點不出,莫怪花枝有短長。」
J36nB359_p0681c22晚參。舉:「三平義忠禪師一日陞座,有道士從東過西,J36nB359_p0681c23又一僧從西過東,平曰:『道士卻有見處,師僧未在。』道J36nB359_p0681c24士作禮,云:『謝師接引。』平便打。僧作禮,云:『乞師指示。』平J36nB359_p0681c25亦打。復謂眾,曰:『者兩箇公案還有人斷得麼?』如是三J36nB359_p0681c26問,眾無對。平曰:『既無人斷得,老僧自斷去也。』擲拄杖,J36nB359_p0681c27歸方丈。」乃云:「三平老漢收放臨時,予奪自在,可謂作J36nB359_p0681c28家宗師。叵耐棒頭無眼,被者兩箇尿床鬼子看破,末J36nB359_p0681c29後一場懡㦬猶欠勦絕。雲門今晚與他據款結案,亦J36nB359_p0681c30使識法者懼。」拈拄杖,云:「者箇公案還有人斷得麼?如J36nB359_p0682a01無,雲門自斷去也。」以拄杖一時打散。
J36nB359_p0682a02晚參。舉:「白水本仁禪師:『我尋常不欲向聲前句後鼓J36nB359_p0682a03弄人家男女。何故?且聲不是聲、色不是色。』時有僧問:J36nB359_p0682a04『如何是聲不是聲?』仁曰:『喚作色得麼?』曰:『如何是色不J36nB359_p0682a05是色?』仁曰:『喚作聲得麼?』僧作禮,仁曰:『且道是為汝說、J36nB359_p0682a06荅汝話?辨得出有箇入處。』雪竇顯云:『本仁也甚奇怪,J36nB359_p0682a07要且貪觀天上。既非聲前句後,作麼生入?』」乃云:「斬蛟J36nB359_p0682a08者忘其水,逐鹿者不見山。怎怪得雪竇檢點。雲門尋J36nB359_p0682a09常不欲向聲前句後鼓弄人家男女,儻有問:『如何是J36nB359_p0682a10聲不是聲?』當頭一喝。『如何是色不是色?』劈脊便棒。或J36nB359_p0682a11云:『和尚莫向聲色裏惑亂人家男女好。』雲門直得禮J36nB359_p0682a12他三拜。何故?末法時代求箇伶俐衲僧也難得,還有J36nB359_p0682a13麼?」顧左右云:「仲冬嚴寒,不勞久立。」
J36nB359_p0682a14晚參。舉:「趙州問婆子:『向甚麼處去?』婆曰:『偷趙州筍去。』J36nB359_p0682a15州曰:『忽遇趙州,你作麼生?』婆打州兩掌,州便休去。」乃J36nB359_p0682a16云:「者則公案,有道:『雞不與狗鬥,男不與女鬥。趙州見J36nB359_p0682a17他是箇婦人家,所以放過。』又有道:『者箇婆子機鋒迅J36nB359_p0682a18捷,手腳惡辣,趙州不敢惹他,故爾休去。』者般商量總J36nB359_p0682a19是流俗見解,要稱衲僧太遠在。諸仁者!除此二途如J36nB359_p0682a20何委悉?阿呵呵!見也麼?低頭休處有淆訛,切忌人前J36nB359_p0682a21誇好手,陷虎機關知未否?可惜渾身被陸沉。還有相J36nB359_p0682a22救者麼?蝦跳不出斗。」
J36nB359_p0682a23晚參。舉:「龐居士因辭藥山,山命十禪客送至門首,士J36nB359_p0682a24指空中雪,云:『好雪片片,不落別處。』有全禪客,云:『不落J36nB359_p0682a25別處,落在甚麼處?』士打一掌,全云:『居士也不得草艸。』J36nB359_p0682a26士云:『恁麼稱禪客,閻家老子未放你在。』全云:『居士又J36nB359_p0682a27作麼生?』士又打一掌,云:『眼見如盲,口說似啞。』」乃云:「錦J36nB359_p0682a28上添花,人之常情;雪裏送炭,世之罕聞。山僧要向冷J36nB359_p0682a29灶裏著把火。何則?盡謂全禪客是箇孟八郎不濟事,J36nB359_p0682a30被他龐居士折挫一上。殊不知龐老兒卻被全禪客J36nB359_p0682b01生陷入雪坑裏,至今無出頭處。」拈拄杖,云:「眾中還有J36nB359_p0682b02不甘者麼?」顧左右,云:「雲門者裏誰敢?」
J36nB359_p0682b03晚參。舉:「雪峰因僧問:『古澗寒泉時如何?』峰云:『瞪目不J36nB359_p0682b04見底。』曰:『飲者如何?』峰云:『不從口入。』僧舉似趙州,州云:J36nB359_p0682b05『不從口入,莫從鼻孔裏入?』僧問:『古澗寒泉時如何?』州J36nB359_p0682b06云:『苦。』曰:『飲者如何?』州云:『死。』雪峰聞得,遙空禮拜,云:『趙J36nB359_p0682b07州古佛出世。』雪峰從此不荅話。」乃云:「雪峰舌拄梵天,J36nB359_p0682b08趙州眉毛拖地,雖則二員古佛出世,殊不知鼻孔都J36nB359_p0682b09落在者僧手裏。大眾且道:利害在甚麼處?三山半落J36nB359_p0682b10青天外,二水中分白鷺洲。」
J36nB359_p0682b11晚參。舉:「睦州和尚一日喚僧云:『大德!』僧回首,州云:『擔J36nB359_p0682b12板漢。』雪竇顯云:『睦州只具一隻眼,何故?者僧喚既回J36nB359_p0682b13首,因甚卻成擔板漢?』黃龍心云:『雪竇亦只具一隻眼,J36nB359_p0682b14者僧喚既回首,因甚不成擔板漢?』」乃云:「雪竇只解瞻J36nB359_p0682b15前,不能顧後;黃龍明於責人,暗於責己。各見一邊,正J36nB359_p0682b16是擔板漢。今晚或云:『雲門與麼道,也是擔板漢。』雲門J36nB359_p0682b17卻禮他三拜,且道是賞伊?罰伊?具眼者試辨看。」良久,J36nB359_p0682b18喝一喝,云:「擔板漢。」
J36nB359_p0682b19晚參,舉:「芭蕉慧清禪師示眾曰:『你有拄杖子,我與你J36nB359_p0682b20拄杖子;你無拄杖子,我奪卻你拄杖子。』溈山哲云:『你J36nB359_p0682b21有拄杖子,我奪卻你拄杖子;你無拄杖子,我與你拄J36nB359_p0682b22杖子。』」乃云:「大眾!會麼?一人貴買賤賣,一人賤買貴賣,J36nB359_p0682b23雖則貴賤不同,爭奈二俱失利?雲門即不然,你有拄J36nB359_p0682b24杖子,我也不奪你拄杖子;你無拄杖子,我也不與你J36nB359_p0682b25拄杖子。何故?」卓拄杖,云:「黃金自有黃金價,終不和沙J36nB359_p0682b26賣與人。」
J36nB359_p0682b27因事,晚參。舉:「蒙山道明禪師因趁盧行者至大庾嶺J36nB359_p0682b28頭。」師云:「初生犢兒不怕虎。者將衣缽置之石上,云:『衣J36nB359_p0682b29缽表信,可力爭耶?任君將去。』」師云:「未必心頭似口頭。J36nB359_p0682b30明舉如山,不動踟躕,悚慄作禮,云:『某為法來,非為衣J36nB359_p0682c01也,願求行者開示。』」師云:「也是好肉上剜瘡。祖云:『不思J36nB359_p0682c02善,不思惡,正恁麼時,那箇是明上座本來面目?』」師云:J36nB359_p0682c03「驀頭一杓尿糞潑了也。明當下大悟,遍體汗流,涕泣J36nB359_p0682c04禮拜,云:『上來密語密意外,更別有旨乎?』」師云:「猶嫌少J36nB359_p0682c05在。祖云:『我與汝說者非密也,汝但返觀,密在汝邊。』」師J36nB359_p0682c06云:「雪上加霜。明云:『向在黃梅實未了,今蒙開示,如人J36nB359_p0682c07飲水,冷暖自知。今行者即某甲師也。』」師云:「知恩始是J36nB359_p0682c08報恩人。祖云:『汝既如是,與汝同師黃梅,善自護持。』」師J36nB359_p0682c09云:「癩兒牽伴。」乃云:「寒暑、陰陽、吉凶、悔吝,實天地變化J36nB359_p0682c10自然之氣數;君臣、父子、兄弟、朋友、夫婦,乃世間綱常J36nB359_p0682c11不易之名分。陰陽悖,則天地否塞;上下亂,則國家喪J36nB359_p0682c12亡。故孔子曰:『必也正名乎!』是知上下尊卑不可紊亂J36nB359_p0682c13者明矣。如阿難乃佛堂弟,出家以佛為師,未聞有昆J36nB359_p0682c14弟之稱;羅睺羅以舍利弗為和尚,未始有同參之說。J36nB359_p0682c15昔人有父名石,父亡而終身不履石,避父諱故。蒙山J36nB359_p0682c16道明禪師初名慧明,因六祖開示,當下發明大事,遂J36nB359_p0682c17易道明,亦避六祖同派也。出世聖賢尚不違世間之J36nB359_p0682c18理,又況其餘者乎?近有杜撰長老嗣其法、秉其拂,不J36nB359_p0682c19肯改名與本師同派。夫師者,人之模範也,上下不分、J36nB359_p0682c20尊卑無別,靦然踞曲彔稱善知識,吾不知何以為善J36nB359_p0682c21知識也?若是之輩,不足挂齒,亦恐初學遞相效顰,誤J36nB359_p0682c22賺後來取笑諸方。是事且置,只如六祖與麼開示、蒙J36nB359_p0682c23山恁麼悟去,悟則不無,畢竟那是本來面目?山僧不J36nB359_p0682c24惜脣吻,露箇消息。」揮拂,云:「蕉芭蕉芭,有葉無了,忽然J36nB359_p0682c25一陣狂風起,卻似東京城相國寺三十六院東廊下J36nB359_p0682c26壁角頭王長老破袈裟。還會麼?且去喫茶。」
J36nB359_p0682c27晚參。舉:「三聖道:『我逢人即出,出則不為人。』興化道:『我J36nB359_p0682c28逢人即不出,出則便為人。』真淨云:『看者兩箇漢竊得J36nB359_p0682c29臨濟些子活計,各自分疆列界,氣翀牛斗,明眼衲僧J36nB359_p0682c30直得好笑。且道:笑甚麼?若也知得,一任七顛八倒;儻J36nB359_p0683a01或未然,且向三聖、興化葛藤裏咬嚼。』」乃云:「真淨恁般J36nB359_p0683a02說話,也是不奈船何,打破戽斗。雲門即不然。」遂豎拂J36nB359_p0683a03子,云:「看看!適來被者箇龜毛上座一時穿卻三聖、興J36nB359_p0683a04化鼻孔了也,教伊出也由我、教伊不出也由我,畢竟J36nB359_p0683a05憑何節目?」揮拂子,云:「一語喚回鸚鵡夢,九霄奪得鳳J36nB359_p0683a06兒歸。」
J36nB359_p0683a07晚參。舉:「百丈因普請鉏地次,有僧纔舉鉏頭,聞鼓聲J36nB359_p0683a08有省,作舞大笑而歸。丈曰:『俊哉!此是觀音入理之門。』J36nB359_p0683a09歸院,問僧:『你適來見甚麼道理便與麼?』僧曰:『某甲肚J36nB359_p0683a10饑,聞鼓聲喫飯來。』」乃拈拄杖,云:「雲門若見,劈脊痛與J36nB359_p0683a11一頓,趁出山門,不唯使者僧黃金生色,亦見汗馬功J36nB359_p0683a12高。者裏莫有聞鼓聲悟道的?出來試說看。」卓一卓,云:J36nB359_p0683a13「欲釣鯨鯢澂巨浸,嗟無蛙步輾泥沙。」
J36nB359_p0683a14晚參。舉:「南泉因東西兩堂爭貓兒,泉提起貓曰:『道得J36nB359_p0683a15即救取貓兒,道不得即斬卻也。』眾無語,泉斬之。至晚,J36nB359_p0683a16趙州從外歸,泉舉前話,州脫艸履頂頭上而出,泉曰:J36nB359_p0683a17『子若在,救得貓兒。』」乃云:「入水不懼蛟龍,漁父之勇也;J36nB359_p0683a18入山不避虎兕,獵人之勇也。衲僧家須有拆佛殿、毀J36nB359_p0683a19魔宮的手段始較些子。者則公案,諸方浩浩商量,道J36nB359_p0683a20南泉斬貓是大用現前、趙州戴艸履是見義勇為,兩J36nB359_p0683a21堂無語,謂之不唧溜漢。者般說話正是田庫奴、客作J36nB359_p0683a22兒的見解,要稱衲僧,三生六十劫未夢見在。何故?卻J36nB359_p0683a23不知王老師恁麼為人,大似亂世英雄,諗古佛亦是J36nB359_p0683a24助桀行虐,唯有兩堂高賢卻有些上古淳風,深為可J36nB359_p0683a25羨。大眾!雲門者樣批判,還是拔富憐貧耶?為復抑強J36nB359_p0683a26扶弱耶?漢家自有制度。」
J36nB359_p0683a27晚參。舉:「趙州到雲居,居云:『老老大大也不覓箇住處。』J36nB359_p0683a28州云:『甚處是某甲住處?』居云:『前面有箇古寺基。』州云:J36nB359_p0683a29『恁麼則和尚自住始得。』州又到茱萸,萸亦云:『老老大J36nB359_p0683a30大也不覓箇住處。』州云:『甚處是某甲住處?』萸云:『老老J36nB359_p0683b01大大住處也不識。』州云:『三十年弄馬騎,今日被驢子J36nB359_p0683b02撲。』」乃云:「大眾!那裏是趙州被驢子撲處?還是前面被J36nB359_p0683b03撲、後面被撲?檢點得出,不唯勘破趙州,亦許親見雲J36nB359_p0683b04居、茱萸二大老。不然,且聽葛藤一上:三老同乘沒底J36nB359_p0683b05船,中途驀地遇風顛,撦的撦,牽的牽,牽牽撦撦到天J36nB359_p0683b06曉。」喝一喝,云:「依舊蘆花淺水邊。」
J36nB359_p0683b07晚參。舉:「仰山因溈山問云:『大地眾生業識茫茫,無本J36nB359_p0683b08可據,子作麼生知他有之與無?』仰云:『某甲有箇驗處。』J36nB359_p0683b09時有僧從面前過,仰召云:『闍黎!』僧回首,仰云:『和尚!者J36nB359_p0683b10箇便是業識茫茫,無本可據。』溈云:『寂子!正是獅子一J36nB359_p0683b11滴乳,迸散十斛驢乳。』」乃云:「溈仰家風,唯貴父子投機,J36nB359_p0683b12節拍相應,苟非具窟中牙爪、閫外機權,卒難搆他語J36nB359_p0683b13脈。若以雲門看來,溈仰父子猶不知向者僧面前各J36nB359_p0683b14失卻一隻眼了也。大眾!還見獅子一滴乳,迸散十斛J36nB359_p0683b15驢乳麼?」拈拄杖一時打散。
J36nB359_p0683b16晚參。舉:「洞山因僧問:『三身中那一身說法?』山云:『吾常J36nB359_p0683b17於此切。』僧問曹山:『洞山道:「吾常於此切。」意旨如何?』曰:J36nB359_p0683b18『要頭截取去。』僧問雪峰,峰拈拄杖劈口打,曰:『我也曾J36nB359_p0683b19到洞山來。』」乃云:「三箇老漢雖同鼻孔出氣,大似夜半J36nB359_p0683b20放烏雞,有甚分曉?善慶為諸人分明道破:吾常於此J36nB359_p0683b21切,螺螄吞卻天邊月;要頭截取去,繡出鴛鴦鍼不露。J36nB359_p0683b22我也曾到洞山來,藕絲牽轉象王回。說也說了、註也J36nB359_p0683b23註了,畢竟三身中是那一身說法?但能不觸當今諱,J36nB359_p0683b24也勝前朝斷舌才。」
J36nB359_p0683b25晚參,舉香嚴上堂,因僧問不慕諸聖、不重己靈因緣,J36nB359_p0683b26乃云:「諸方多作得失理論,那知古人機輪互換,鼓吹J36nB359_p0683b27並行?如虎有角,同生同死;如龍無角,雙放雙收。勝則J36nB359_p0683b28全勝,負則全負,龍象蹴蹋,非驢所堪。雖然如是,為甚J36nB359_p0683b29疏山倒屙三十年?還是被他授記?為復如蟲禦木?欲J36nB359_p0683b30得不招無間業,莫謗如來正法輪。」
J36nB359_p0683c01晚參。舉:「趙州問新到:『曾到此間麼?』曰:『曾到。』曰:『喫茶去。』J36nB359_p0683c02又問一僧:『曾到此間麼?』曰:『不曾到。』曰:『喫茶去。』院主問:J36nB359_p0683c03『為甚曾到也喫茶去?不曾到也喫茶去?』州喚院主,主J36nB359_p0683c04應諾,曰:『喫茶去。』趙州通身為人,早被院主看破。山僧J36nB359_p0683c05則不然,曾到此間也不許喫茶、不曾到此間也不許J36nB359_p0683c06喫茶。或問:『和尚為甚曾到也不許喫茶?不曾到也不J36nB359_p0683c07許喫茶?』但云:『去年雲掩中秋月,今歲元宵雨打燈。』」
