J37nB386_p0366c02 J37nB386_p0366c03上堂。「『假使滿世間,皆如舍利弗,盡思共度量,不能測J37nB386_p0366c04佛智。』不妨疑著。及乎道:『為求聲聞乘者說應四諦法、J37nB386_p0366c05為求辟支佛乘者說應十二因緣法、為諸菩薩說應J37nB386_p0366c06六波羅蜜。』與麼有甚奇特?瑞巖者裏將無上智、無師J37nB386_p0366c07智、自然智、差別智、能知一切智、玅觀察智、大圓鏡智、J37nB386_p0366c08成所作智、平等性智乃至世間之智,盡情拋向諸人J37nB386_p0366c09懷裏,使人人具足、箇箇圓明,秖如雞解司晨、狗解防J37nB386_p0366c10夜、蜂解採花、貓解捉鼠,且道與佛智相去多少?若也J37nB386_p0366c11會得,一切智通無障礙,聲香味觸常三昧;其或未然,J37nB386_p0366c12也怪釋迦老子不得。」
J37nB386_p0366c13上堂。問:「大通智勝佛,十劫坐道場,佛法不現前,不能J37nB386_p0366c14成佛道。秖如諸法不受底又作麼生?」師云:「金不博金。」J37nB386_p0366c15進云:「更有一句,請師速道。」師良久,云:「會麼?」進云:「一句J37nB386_p0366c16迥然超法界,萬靈何處謝無私?」師云:「切莫承虛。」乃舉:J37nB386_p0366c17「智者大師閱《法華經》至藥王燒身處,諸佛同聲贊歎:J37nB386_p0366c18『是真精進,是名真法供養。』乃見靈山一會儼然未散。」J37nB386_p0366c19師云:「智者大似眼見空華,落賺後人入海算沙。今日J37nB386_p0366c20此會,人天交接,若男、若女,若僧、若俗,獻花酌水、擎拳J37nB386_p0366c21合掌,如水銀墮地,點點皆圓;似杲日當空,塵塵普照。J37nB386_p0366c22長者長法身、短者短法身,在坑滿坑、在谷盈谷,豈有J37nB386_p0366c23今古之間、自他之隔?但能覿體承當,管取流通正眼。J37nB386_p0366c24其或尚留觀聽,貪觀天上月,忘卻室中燈。」
J37nB386_p0366c25崇亮書記、曇彧侍者等請上堂。「阿難合掌,迦葉擎拳,J37nB386_p0366c26松直棘曲,鵠白烏玄,蟠桃三千歲熟,優曇五百年現。J37nB386_p0366c27若也片時圓曠劫之果,微塵含法界之量,不涉思議J37nB386_p0366c28之境,迥超有無之相,便能朝禮檀特,暮宿羅浮,大唐J37nB386_p0366c29打鼓,新羅作舞,直饒豎窮三際,橫三十虛,東涌西沒,J37nB386_p0366c30南涌北沒,也出不得者裏。何故?畢竟水須朝海去,到J37nB386_p0367a01頭雲定覓山歸。」
J37nB386_p0367a02了義知藏請上堂。「唯有一門而復狹小,盡謂釋迦老J37nB386_p0367a03子不寬曠。據瑞巖看來,只者一頭也不消得。何故?不J37nB386_p0367a04見道:十方無壁落,四面亦無門。盡大地是解脫場,遍J37nB386_p0367a05虛空是清淨地。紅塵鬧市,頭頭古佛家風;碧落青霄,J37nB386_p0367a06處處道人活計。正當霜林似錦,寒月如銀,蒼松增歲J37nB386_p0367a07寒之色,幽竹布晚節之陰。目前無法,意在目前;不是J37nB386_p0367a08目前法,非耳目之所到。」舉拂子,云:「還委悉麼?十二處J37nB386_p0367a09亡閒影響,三千界放淨光明。」
J37nB386_p0367a10上堂。問:「前日上來問話,和尚不許,不得無疑。未審今J37nB386_p0367a11日還許問否?」師云:「試亂統看。」僧拂袖歸眾云:「將謂者J37nB386_p0367a12老漢有多少奇特?」師云:「轉見不堪。」乃云:「教中以蓮花J37nB386_p0367a13為喻,隨色摩尼珠為喻。以蓮花為喻者,謂清淨無染,J37nB386_p0367a14不沾泥、不著水,此花未開,其果先具。摩尼珠為喻者,J37nB386_p0367a15東方青色,摩尼珠亦青色;南方赤色,摩尼珠亦赤色;J37nB386_p0367a16西方白色,摩尼珠亦白色;北方黑色,摩尼珠亦黑色;J37nB386_p0367a17中央黃色,摩尼珠亦黃色。又道:佛身無為,不墮諸數。J37nB386_p0367a18譬如虛空,體非群相,不拒諸相。發揮恁麼曲喻,只道J37nB386_p0367a19得影子邊事,正體上未曾道著毫毛在。畢竟如何是J37nB386_p0367a20正體?」良久,顧視左右,云:「經有經師,論有論師,爭怪得J37nB386_p0367a21老僧?」
J37nB386_p0367a22覺海續長老請上堂。「動絃別曲,葉落知秋,事是恁麼J37nB386_p0367a23事,人須恁麼人。不見楊岐會祖問慈明和尚:『幽鳥語J37nB386_p0367a24喃喃,辭雲入亂峰時如何?』明云:『我行荒艸裏,汝又入J37nB386_p0367a25深村。』岐云:『官不容針,更借一問。』明便喝,岐云:『好喝。』明J37nB386_p0367a26又喝,岐亦喝,明連喝兩喝,岐便禮拜,明云:『此事是箇J37nB386_p0367a27人方能擔荷。』岐拂袖便出。大眾!一挨一拶,發明從上J37nB386_p0367a28真風;一唱一酬,闡揚箇中曲調。然而唱教門中足可J37nB386_p0367a29觀光,衲僧巴鼻猶虧一半。秖如道:楊岐一頭驢,只有J37nB386_p0367a30三隻腳;潘閬倒騎歸,顛殺黃番綽。又如何?爛柯樵子J37nB386_p0367b01疑無路,桂樹壺公別有家。」
J37nB386_p0367b02上堂。問:「連日寶華座上問似雲興,荅如瓶瀉,未審明J37nB386_p0367b03甚麼邊事?」師云:「疏田不貯水。」乃云:「久默斯要,不務速J37nB386_p0367b04說。好事不瞞人,有智若聞則能信解,不可錯會;無智J37nB386_p0367b05疑悔則為永失,甕裏何曾走卻鱉?瑞巖連日口勞舌J37nB386_p0367b06沸,傾腸倒腹,那管有智無智?一任信也好、疑也好、不J37nB386_p0367b07信也好、不疑也好。何故?不見道:我不敢輕於汝等,汝J37nB386_p0367b08等皆當作佛。」
J37nB386_p0367b09法華懺滿散,賢如都監同范凱承、朱啟行居士請上J37nB386_p0367b10堂。「大喻三千,小喻八百,一期佛事云週,未曾說著一J37nB386_p0367b11字。朝也拈槌,暮也豎拂,盡日舉揚箇事,何曾動著毫J37nB386_p0367b12頭?所以道:諸佛出世,無風起浪;祖師西來,喚鐘作甕。J37nB386_p0367b13歷劫至今,本無昏昧,天龍人鬼,隨類現前。只為情存J37nB386_p0367b14限量,意守幽玄,未免向外馳求,將南作北。山僧曲垂J37nB386_p0367b15方便,也是隨人顛倒;居士助揚發機,分明鋪花錦上。J37nB386_p0367b16然雖如是,畢竟如何合折?」揮拂,云:「千江有水千江月,J37nB386_p0367b17萬里無雲萬里天。」
J37nB386_p0367b18冰輪知藏領姚江眾信請上堂。「大通智勝佛因十六J37nB386_p0367b19王子請法,放光照耀十大梵天宮,十大梵天王尋光J37nB386_p0367b20而至,同聲勸請,盡力而說,不過權示化城。寶所雖近,J37nB386_p0367b21猶隔天淵。瑞巖因餘姚善信請法,且無放光現瑞,不J37nB386_p0367b22說有,不說無,四諦因緣,六度萬行,何足挂齒?一超直J37nB386_p0367b23入,不歷僧祇,那堪共語?直得諸佛說不到,祖師提不J37nB386_p0367b24起,大藏該不著,宗師談不及。且道是何章句?」揮拂子J37nB386_p0367b25云:「萎花風掃去,香水雨飄來。」
J37nB386_p0367b26開爐,重韜、子堅諸弟子請上堂。問:「五千指放下腰包,J37nB386_p0367b27總向者裏覓,未審作何方便?」師云:「投子道底。」進云:「斬J37nB386_p0367b28釘截鐵,本分手腳,就下平高,又作麼生?」師便打,乃云:J37nB386_p0367b29「三世諸佛向火燄裏轉大法輪,癩馬繫枯樁;火燄為J37nB386_p0367b30三世諸佛說法,三世諸佛立地聽,黑牛臥死水。直饒J37nB386_p0367c01塵說、剎說、熾然說、晝夜說,無間歇,說得也只一半,何J37nB386_p0367c02況釘樁搖櫓、刻舟求劍、好肉上剜瘡、餬餅裏討汁,盡J37nB386_p0367c03是咬人矢橛,不是好狗。瑞巖今日撲滅火燄,搥殺諸J37nB386_p0367c04佛,使諸人赤骨立地,自作活計。不見道:男兒自有通J37nB386_p0367c05霄路,不向他人行處行。」
J37nB386_p0367c06臘八說戒,電觀優婆夷請上堂。問:「未出母胎,度人已J37nB386_p0367c07畢,因甚麼今日成道?」師云:「一番提起一番新。」進云:「《梵J37nB386_p0367c08網經》云:『一切有命者不得故殺。』南泉因甚斬貓?」師云:J37nB386_p0367c09「非公境界。」進云:「孝名為戒,德山何故呵佛罵祖?」師云:J37nB386_p0367c10「是恁麼人使得。」進云:「佛子當遵佛行,丹霞因甚又燒J37nB386_p0367c11佛?」師云:「渠儂得自由。」進云:「三大老還是大用現前?還J37nB386_p0367c12是格外提持?」師打,云:「相識滿天下。」乃云:「戒能生定,戒J37nB386_p0367c13非是戒;定能生慧,慧非是慧。戒非是戒,理事俱遣;慧J37nB386_p0367c14非是慧,體用不立。若也認名著相,大似求劍刻舟,未J37nB386_p0367c15能越格超宗,終是守株待兔。不見道:大修行人不守J37nB386_p0367c16毘尼、大解脫人不離生死?盡大地是眼光、遍十方是J37nB386_p0367c17正體,黃面瞿曇不唧溜,分明錯認一天星,靈雲老漢J37nB386_p0367c18沒意智,桃花依舊笑春風。從上古錐,無非耳裏著水、J37nB386_p0367c19眼裏添沙,落賺兒孫撥漚覓火,向東走西,遠之遠矣。J37nB386_p0367c20畢竟如何?長安風月貫今昔,那箇男兒摸壁行?」
J37nB386_p0367c21師六旬誕辰,兩序請上堂。問:「世尊初生,唯吾獨尊,和J37nB386_p0367c22尚大誕又作麼生?」師云:「山僧立在下風。」進云:「恁麼則J37nB386_p0367c23一點水墨兩處成龍去也。」師云:「已遲八刻。」乃云:「觀河J37nB386_p0367c24不改,若非釋迦指出、匿王埋沒,生平耳順心通,不是J37nB386_p0367c25夫子自知,世人那裏曉得?據瑞巖看來,不知錯過多J37nB386_p0367c26少?秖如上床摸著枕、下床踏著鞋,晝見日、夜見星,朝J37nB386_p0367c27聞鐘、暮聞鼓,還涉遷變也無?雖然,猶是升子裏𨁝跳、J37nB386_p0367c28斗子裏轉身,直饒延剎那為曠劫、納須彌於芥子,也J37nB386_p0367c29是自心之常分。須知天不能蓋、地不能載、日月不能J37nB386_p0367c30照臨、雨露不能沾濡。」驀豎拂子,云:「且道者箇從何發J37nB386_p0368a01生?臘月蓮華生石上,不知何處問榮枯?」
J37nB386_p0368a02澹如知藏領上海徐元華、潘伯言居士,兼為霍星聚J37nB386_p0368a03剃度,請上堂。「昔日呂純陽投鍾離學仙,鍾離傳其外J37nB386_p0368a04丹,謂之點石成金法。純陽云:『此金後還變易否?』鍾離J37nB386_p0368a05云:『五百年後依舊是石。』純陽云:『是則害五百年後人J37nB386_p0368a06也。弟子不學此法。』鍾離贊云:『只此一念,遠勝幾百歲J37nB386_p0368a07修行。』」師云:「純陽此念可謂成佛作祖之根本,但瑞巖J37nB386_p0368a08看來則又不然。殊不知金即是石、石即是金,金有何J37nB386_p0368a09可貴?石有何可賤?有時黃金用不著,有時石頭卻用J37nB386_p0368a10得著。所以道:至道無難,惟嫌揀擇;但莫憎愛,洞然明J37nB386_p0368a11白。既莫憎愛,又不揀擇,秖如奴郎不辨、粟麥不分又J37nB386_p0368a12作麼生?還委悉麼?眾生度盡河沙佛,諸佛何曾度一J37nB386_p0368a13人?」
J37nB386_p0368a14晚參。舉:「僧問雲門:『久雨不晴時如何?』門云:『劄。』」師云:「雲J37nB386_p0368a15門鼓粥飯氣即不無,要答者僧話未可。在瑞巖即不J37nB386_p0368a16然,忽有人問:『久雨不晴時如何?』但向伊道:『礎蒸常帶J37nB386_p0368a17潤,衣焙復生黴。』」
J37nB386_p0368a18赴白雲請,晚參。「文殊三處度夏,竿木隨身,逢場作戲;J37nB386_p0368a19山僧兩處過冬,如蟲禦木,偶爾成文。迦葉欲擯文殊,J37nB386_p0368a20白椎時乃見百億文殊,百億迦葉椎不能下。諸人聽J37nB386_p0368a21山僧出入,十里一溪、廿里一嶺,相隨者相隨、居守者J37nB386_p0368a22居守,無有一點疑惑,不作一毫異見。試問諸人:即今J37nB386_p0368a23山僧且道是瑞巖長老?白雲長老?」隱崖云:「一點水墨,J37nB386_p0368a24兩處成龍。」楚嶽云:「南山起雲,北山下雨。」電玥云:「此心J37nB386_p0368a25能有幾人知?」師云:「諸人恁麼道,不道全無,秖得一半。」

J37nB386_p0368a27康熙十三年五月初三日入院。
J37nB386_p0368a28佛殿。「有佛處不得住,無佛處急走過。老趙州八十猶J37nB386_p0368a29行腳,元來未穩當在。僼長老即不然,無佛處且放過J37nB386_p0368a30一著,有佛處正要當頭坐卻。」
J37nB386_p0368b01伽藍。「者一片地,有你護持也得,無你護持也得。何故?J37nB386_p0368b02真不掩偽,曲不藏直。」
J37nB386_p0368b03祖堂。「開基創業,建規立矩,分皮析髓,看來鼎足三分,J37nB386_p0368b04今日鼻孔總在僼長老手裏。」拈香,云:「看你無處出氣。」J37nB386_p0368b05據室。「佛來插腳不入,魔來窺覷無門。新長老今日放J37nB386_p0368b06開一線,你有半斤,還你八兩。」
J37nB386_p0368b07山門疏。「不是鉤章辣句,全非者也。周由總是家裏人,J37nB386_p0368b08盡說家裏話。」
J37nB386_p0368b09法座。「虛空無有量,此座等虛空,坐斷微塵剎,從不陟J37nB386_p0368b10階級。」
J37nB386_p0368b11拈香祝J37nB386_p0368b12聖畢,又拈香。「此一瓣香,煦之嫗之,霜之雪之,愈晚愈J37nB386_p0368b13烈,愈出愈奇。第四回拈出,爇向爐中,專誠供養本山J37nB386_p0368b14堂上弘覺老和尚,用酬法乳。」斂衣趺坐。雲門和尚白J37nB386_p0368b15椎云:「法筵龍象眾,當觀第一義。」師云:「言前薦旨,格外J37nB386_p0368b16明機,猶屬第二頭。若是別具眼腦,便請當陽出手。」問:J37nB386_p0368b17「析要分玄數十春,三遷巨剎釣金鱗,欲恢祖道酬高J37nB386_p0368b18厚,化鹿雲興令再新。雲既興已,請師布令。」師云:「大施J37nB386_p0368b19門開無壅塞。」進云:「秖如少林五葉,遍界芬芳,因甚臨J37nB386_p0368b20濟一枝,寰中獨秀?」師云:「車不橫推。」進云:「打麵還他州J37nB386_p0368b21土麥,唱歌須是帝鄉人。」師云:「且喜領話。」乃云:「建法幢,J37nB386_p0368b22立宗旨,竿木隨身,逢場作戲;起家聲,大門戶,如蟲禦J37nB386_p0368b23木,偶爾成文。是以從上以來,施機施用,行棒行喝,只J37nB386_p0368b24貴正眼流通,不向別處循轉。有時斬釘截鐵、有時合J37nB386_p0368b25水和泥,或乘象王、或騎獅子,或露半面、或示全身,或J37nB386_p0368b26於一毫端上建寶王剎、坐微塵裏轉大法輪,闡一切J37nB386_p0368b27法、離一切相,喚作父子投機也得、喚作君臣道合也J37nB386_p0368b28得,總不作是見非見、彼見我見、佛見法見,一切諸見J37nB386_p0368b29盡皆泯滅也得。何故?島嶼分諸國,星河共一天。」復舉:J37nB386_p0368b30「保寧勇上堂:『若說佛法供養大眾,未免眉鬚墮落;若J37nB386_p0368c01說世法供養大眾,入地獄如箭射去。此二途且道作J37nB386_p0368c02麼生好?三寸舌頭無用處,一雙空手不成拳。』大小保J37nB386_p0368c03寧一向俊俏,元來膽小。僼長老則不然,若說佛法供J37nB386_p0368c04養大眾,錦上鋪華;若說世法供養大眾,黃金增色。不J37nB386_p0368c05見道:我為法王,於法自在。」復白椎云:「諦觀法王法,法J37nB386_p0368c06王法如是。」
J37nB386_p0368c07上堂。「雙林唱滅,槨示雙趺,蔥嶺歸真,杖攜隻履,引得J37nB386_p0368c08後代兒孫遞相效學,誑惑閭閻,便乃坐脫立亡,行遷J37nB386_p0368c09倒化,以至水葬火焚,踊身高七多羅樹,造妖捏怪,納J37nB386_p0368c10盡敗闕,爭似我本師弘覺老人時節到來,泊然而逝?J37nB386_p0368c11雖云一味平常,其奈六種震動。秖如者老漢七十九J37nB386_p0368c12年同佛壽世,三十二載大吼獅音,十坐道場雲蒸霞J37nB386_p0368c13蔚,九重詔對鳳翥龍翔,大用縱橫,包天括地,神機莫J37nB386_p0368c14測,絡古籠今,析髓分皮,辨魔揀異,纖毫不爽,餘地不J37nB386_p0368c15留,筆糝春花,奪天造化,剎標莖艸,蔽日光明,天子稱J37nB386_p0368c16師,諸王問道,神人景仰,門海雲從。若論諸方,便謂縱J37nB386_p0368c17虛空之口、假塵剎之舌而稱揚不盡,罄徂徠之松、掃J37nB386_p0368c18淇渭之竹而書寫莫窮,因甚卻道我事事平常,無甚J37nB386_p0368c19奇特?還委悉麼?水歸大海波濤靜,雲到蒼梧氣象閒。」
J37nB386_p0368c20過姚江廣濟寺,淨因和尚同黃景福居士請上堂。問:J37nB386_p0368c21「自從太白分燈後,居然無處不稱尊。今日鶴山請陞J37nB386_p0368c22座,如何是從上道不得底句?」師云:「黃河九曲,水出崑J37nB386_p0368c23崙。」乃云:「山僧不是不愛說禪,說得底無非是閒言長J37nB386_p0368c24語老婆舌頭,與諸仁分中有何利益?此來沒興撞著J37nB386_p0368c25我淨因宗長老於此接待,方來和盤托出,咬底是鐵J37nB386_p0368c26釘飯、嚼底是木札羹、吞底是栗棘蓬、跳底是金剛圈,J37nB386_p0368c27真切相為,有十二分底婆心,更要山僧矢上加尖,陞J37nB386_p0368c28此曲彔木床,說黃道黑,推免不下,意欲打點一言半J37nB386_p0368c29句向諸仁道道,及乎三通鼓罷,簇簇上來,一時計較J37nB386_p0368c30不成、安排不就。設若舉古舉今,多方譬喻,曲為巧說,J37nB386_p0369a01猶恐鈍置。諸仁不見道:夫說法者當如法說,無說而J37nB386_p0369a02說是為真說;其聞法者當如法聞,無聞而聞是為真J37nB386_p0369a03聞。既無說又無聞,合作麼生?」舉拂子顧視左右,云:「二J37nB386_p0369a04三子以吾為隱乎?吾無隱乎爾。」
J37nB386_p0369a05上堂。舉:「雪峰老人道:『望州亭與汝相見了、烏石嶺與J37nB386_p0369a06汝相見了、僧堂前與汝相見了。』平陽尋常有一句子:J37nB386_p0369a07『若耶溪為汝說破也、西渡口為汝說破也、山門頭為J37nB386_p0369a08汝說破也。』若能不落意想、不守幽玄,便乃一超直入、J37nB386_p0369a09迥出常流,打破佛祖牢關、掀翻衲僧閫奧,較諸興盡J37nB386_p0369a10而返、空手而回者,何啻天淵哉?如或未然,去自一溪J37nB386_p0369a11流水送,來時千嶂白雲迎。」
J37nB386_p0369a12陳瑞宇居士八旬請上堂。問:「學人自遠趨風,請師一J37nB386_p0369a13接。」師便打,進云:「此猶是德山棒,如何是臨濟喝?」師云:J37nB386_p0369a14「且會者一棒著。」乃云:「人間五百歲,彼天一晝夜,仙家J37nB386_p0369a15無曆日,松枯當一年。如是較量,則人間之壽雖至百J37nB386_p0369a16年,能復幾何?朝菌不知晦朔,蟪蛄不知春秋,恁麼看J37nB386_p0369a17來,則世間之人自艾而耆、自耆而耋、自耋而耋,久豈J37nB386_p0369a18易哉?雖然,論延論促,總屬局量自封;說短說修,盡是J37nB386_p0369a19常情未瞥。秖如葛洪烹煆,藥爐俱化;希夷高臥,歲月J37nB386_p0369a20渾忘。且道其中還有優劣也無?」良久,云:「更聽一頌:仙J37nB386_p0369a21家海外有蓬瀛,閒看滄桑幾變更,除卻華山陳處士,J37nB386_p0369a22何人不帶是非行?」
J37nB386_p0369a23請化主,晚參。「赤腳人趁兔,穿靴人喫肉,且道虧本?不J37nB386_p0369a24虧本?驪龍頷下探珠,獅子項下解鈴,且道是好手?不J37nB386_p0369a25是好手?有一人常在途中、不離家舍,有一人常在家J37nB386_p0369a26舍、不離途中,且道那箇合受人天供養?此三椿公案,J37nB386_p0369a27今晚山門請街坊,若眾兄弟斷得出,不妨入廛垂手,J37nB386_p0369a28隨緣化導;如斷不出,十字街頭大有人會斷在。」
J37nB386_p0369a29晚參。「明日中元節,世間人家各要追宗薦祖,大眾須J37nB386_p0369a30薦目家底祖宗,不可錯認別家底先靈。何故?而今參J37nB386_p0369b01學人不識好惡,不自扣己而參做實地工夫,一味倞J37nB386_p0369b02虛好高,拾人涕唾以當己有,便是認別人家底先靈J37nB386_p0369b03以當自己祖宗,都被近時邪師教壞,迷己逐物,所謂J37nB386_p0369b04眾生顛倒,有甚交涉?恁麼作為,譬如有等七家村裏J37nB386_p0369b05不知東斗好粧體面底人,姓張底便道:我家底祖宗J37nB386_p0369b06是張果老、張子房、張翼德;姓李底便道:李老君、李世J37nB386_p0369b07民、李太白。將者一夥人扯體面過目,竟把那自己沒J37nB386_p0369b08名沒姓底親祖宗甘自埋沒,全不體究,豈非根本斷J37nB386_p0369b09絕,而自家底祖宗卻作無主孤魂去也?如此扯空頭,J37nB386_p0369b10只嚇得鄉裏人不顧傍人掩口,若被街上人看見,只J37nB386_p0369b11消冷笑一聲,則便著忙亂扯,愈扯愈遠愈笑人,饒你J37nB386_p0369b12扯盡之乎者也,秖增其一笑,決定要認自家底祖宗J37nB386_p0369b13好。你若認自家祖宗,傍人誰敢說長道短?你道世間J37nB386_p0369b14沒有箇曉得你家祖宗底麼?我向你道了:龍生龍,鳳J37nB386_p0369b15生鳳,老鼠養兒沿屋棟。」

J37nB386_p0369b17師於康熙十八年九月受請,十一月十六日入院。
J37nB386_p0369b18據室。「打斷臨濟腰,拶折雲門腳,盡謂作略超方,殊不J37nB386_p0369b19知猶欠一著。且道那一著?」良久,云:「會麼?一字不著畫。」J37nB386_p0369b20法座。「須彌為座,大地為床,人人可坐可登,箇箇縮手J37nB386_p0369b21縮腳。何故?若無舉鼎拔山力,千里烏騅不易騎。」
J37nB386_p0369b22拈香祝J37nB386_p0369b23聖畢,又拈香云:「此一瓣香得來不易,用出非輕,第五J37nB386_p0369b24回拈出爇向爐中,專誠供養平陽堂上先師弘覺老J37nB386_p0369b25和尚,用酬法乳之恩。」斂衣趺坐。上首白椎云:「法筵龍J37nB386_p0369b26象眾,當觀第一義。」師云:「木落寒山萬境空,相招來到J37nB386_p0369b27白雲中,寥寥一段真消息,試看何人共此風?還有同J37nB386_p0369b28聲相應者麼?出來互相激揚。」問答不錄。乃云:「泗洲大J37nB386_p0369b29聖楊州出現,事無一向;德雲比丘別峰相見,理長則J37nB386_p0369b30就。山僧又不然,物我同途,初無二致,自他不隔,豈有J37nB386_p0369c01兩般?況乎白雲深處本是象王家,綠樹叢中由來獅J37nB386_p0369c02子窟,既是家裏人,當說家裏話,地湧塔依舊昂霄,佛J37nB386_p0369c03言石猶然拔地,諸仁分中不減,山僧分中不增,但能J37nB386_p0369c04上無攀仰、下絕己躬,人人常光現前,箇箇壁立千仞,J37nB386_p0369c05盡大地是沙門一隻眼,遍十方是衲僧一坐具,說甚J37nB386_p0369c06朝游檀特、暮宿羅浮,鼓打新羅、舞作大唐,直得如天J37nB386_p0369c07普蓋、似地普擎,隨處作主,建宗立旨。然雖如是,秖如J37nB386_p0369c08不與萬法為侶、不與千聖同廛又作麼生?行到水窮J37nB386_p0369c09處,坐看雲起時。」復舉:「黃檗示眾云:『汝等諸人盡是噇J37nB386_p0369c10酒糟漢,恁麼行腳何處有今日?還知大唐國裏無禪J37nB386_p0369c11師麼?』時有僧出云:『諸方說禪浩浩,何謂無禪?』檗云:『不J37nB386_p0369c12道無禪,秖是無師。』」師云:「黃檗老祖氣吞海嶽、眼蓋乾J37nB386_p0369c13坤則不無,簡點將來只知其一、不知其二。而今諸方J37nB386_p0369c14禪也不少、師亦甚多,座下行腳之士人人抱驪龍之J37nB386_p0369c15珠、箇箇懷荊山之璧,只是若到白雲,管教一齊放下,J37nB386_p0369c16毫無所得。何故?只可自怡悅,不堪持贈君。」復白椎云:J37nB386_p0369c17「諦觀法王法,法王法如是。」下座。
J37nB386_p0369c18上堂。「戒之一字,諸佛分中用他不著,眾生分中用他J37nB386_p0369c19不著。何故?眾生日用無非貪嗔癡妄,戒從何用?諸佛J37nB386_p0369c20心地無有貪嗔癡妄,用戒作麼?雖然,若有戒可持,眾J37nB386_p0369c21生即非眾生;若無戒可持,諸佛即非諸佛。所以道:戒J37nB386_p0369c22如渡海浮囊,運載眾生,不著此岸,不著彼岸,不住中J37nB386_p0369c23流。且道向何處去?」良久,云:「坐斷十方猶點額,密移一J37nB386_p0369c24步見飛龍。」
J37nB386_p0369c25退院,舉眉山眸首座繼席,上堂。「天地有代謝,四時有J37nB386_p0369c26消長,而我林下人應進退之機宜,作人天之瞻仰。所J37nB386_p0369c27以道:我若坐時你須立,我若立時你須坐。若論鍋子J37nB386_p0369c28大小、杓柄短長,是家裏人總瞞不得。而今須是撥轉J37nB386_p0369c29關頭,行逸群之令;超宗異日,展格外之機。人天眼目,J37nB386_p0369c30端的堂中首座;踢倒淨瓶,分明袒肩獨荷。事是恁麼J37nB386_p0370a01事,人須恁麼人。秖如在眼曰見、在耳曰聞,在眉又作J37nB386_p0370a02麼生?」揮拂子,云:「八字打開,兩手分付。」
J37nB386_p0370a03晚參。「山色雨濛濛,溪聲活潑潑,隱卻清淨身,鼓弄廣J37nB386_p0370a04長舌,晝夜熾然談,好箇無生訣。諸人將耳聽,耳中先J37nB386_p0370a05著楔,若將眼底觀,眼內落金屑,六根通不具,普請俱J37nB386_p0370a06成佛。六根不具,因甚許伊成佛?」童學云:「只為老漢無J37nB386_p0370a07面日。」師云:「也是將甕喚為鐘,烏龜證作鱉。」
J37nB386_p0370a08過瑞巖,晚參。舉:「古德出外回,云:『去自一溪流水送,來J37nB386_p0370a09時滿谷白雲迎,一身去住非去住,二物無情卻有情。』」J37nB386_p0370a10師云:「先德略露些風彩,直得情與無情煥然頓現。雖J37nB386_p0370a11然,也是官路當人情。山僧又不然,來時槲葉鞋邊響,J37nB386_p0370a12去則梅花杖底迎,歲月催人忙不徹,那堪去住動閒J37nB386_p0370a13情?」
