J37nB386_p0362c04康熙九年四月受請,於十一年三月入院。十二年十J37nB386_p0362c05月,眾請上堂。
J37nB386_p0362c06拈疏。「毛錐未動,文彩已露。更若錦上鋪華,未免互相J37nB386_p0362c07塗污。分付維那,切莫話墮。」
J37nB386_p0362c08法座。「作禮燈王相借,爭如從地湧出。寬廣不可思議,J37nB386_p0362c09高登不陟階級。龍得水時增意氣,虎逢山勢長威獰。」J37nB386_p0362c10便陞。
J37nB386_p0362c11拈香。「此一瓣香,同天地,參化育,至聖至神,盡廣大,極J37nB386_p0362c12高明,難稱難量,爇向爐中,端為祝延J37nB386_p0362c13今上皇帝聖躬萬歲萬萬歲,伏願金輪統御,萬國咸J37nB386_p0362c14寧,玉燭常調,千邦齊泰,▆風並宗風共扇,佛日同舜J37nB386_p0362c15日恒明。」次拈香。「此一瓣香,為瑞為祥,為霖為雨,爇向J37nB386_p0362c16爐中,奉為滿朝勳貴、闔國公卿、本山檀護、在筵居士,J37nB386_p0362c17伏願致君澤民,功侔十亂,經邦論道,位極三台,恒居J37nB386_p0362c18黃閣開慈閣,世擁朱輪轉法輪。」又拈香。「此一瓣香,得J37nB386_p0362c19來威音王前流傳,普通年外鋸解不斷、斧斫不開,第J37nB386_p0362c20三回拈出爇向爐中,專誠供養現坐平陽堂上開山J37nB386_p0362c21第一代祖弘覺禪師忞老和尚,用酬法乳之恩。」斂衣J37nB386_p0362c22就座。上首白椎云:「法筵龍象眾,當觀第一義。」師云:「動J37nB386_p0362c23絃別曲,須藉知音;豎教扶宗,還資作者。眾中有恁麼J37nB386_p0362c24人,出來互相激揚。」問:「擊法鼓,建法幢,十二峰前令再J37nB386_p0362c25彰,當年普化真消息,今日憑師為舉揚。」師云:「三冬枯J37nB386_p0362c26木秀。」進云:「恁麼則四十八員齊斂衽,山河土石盡揚J37nB386_p0362c27眉。」師云:「讚嘆即得。」進云:「三聖道:『逢人即出,出則不為J37nB386_p0362c28人。』意旨如何?」師云:「塞北風寒。」進云:「興化道:『逢人即不J37nB386_p0362c29出,出則便為人。』又作麼生?」師云:「江南地煖。」進云:「秖如J37nB386_p0362c30和尚三處開堂為人說法,未審如何?」師云:「知音不必J37nB386_p0363a01頻頻舉。」乃云:「恢弘祖道,不消豎起空拳;建立法幢,只J37nB386_p0363a02在橫拈一杖。不見道:拄杖子橫,山河大地一時橫;拄J37nB386_p0363a03杖子豎,山河大地一時豎。一處透脫,千處萬處穿通;J37nB386_p0363a04一機洞明,千機萬機圓轉。不用天回玉壘,地轉錦江,J37nB386_p0363a05自合遇緣即宗,隨處作主,著著建家立業,頭頭艸偃J37nB386_p0363a06風行,石柱峰前重行正令,玉芝巖畔再秀靈苗。剪月J37nB386_p0363a07亭空,冰輪夜湧;穿山渡絕,竹筏春浮。此日人天翕集,J37nB386_p0363a08龍象交臻,光生蓬戶茅簷,色起寒煙衰艸,直得溪山J37nB386_p0363a09作舞,瓦礫翻身,梅舒撲鼻香,松靄盈眸翠。但能不將J37nB386_p0363a10眼見,不將耳聞,不以智知,不以識識,便爾超步毘盧J37nB386_p0363a11頂,頓開彌勒門,堪報不報之恩,共助無為之化。還委J37nB386_p0363a12悉麼?域中星日斬新挂,方外乾坤如舊開。」復舉:「趙州J37nB386_p0363a13道:『有時拈一莖艸作丈六金身用,有時將丈六金身J37nB386_p0363a14作一莖艸用。』端祖道:『若端的得一回汗出,一莖艸上J37nB386_p0363a15現出玉殿瓊樓;若端的不得一回汗出,瓊樓玉殿被J37nB386_p0363a16一莖艸覆卻。』大眾!玉殿瓊樓之隱現,丈六金身之作J37nB386_p0363a17用,總在一莖艸上。」拈拂子,云:「還知瑞巖者一莖艸麼?J37nB386_p0363a18不從天降,不從地生,佛祖以之出興,國王以之乘運,J37nB386_p0363a19國土以之安寧,山林以之生色。在靈山則為優曇華,J37nB386_p0363a20在安養則為九品蓮,在少林則為三尺雪,在臨濟則J37nB386_p0363a21為六十棒。且道在瑞巖又作麼生?風清三代上,香吐J37nB386_p0363a22九莖新。」復白椎,云:「諦觀法王法,法王法如是。」下座。
J37nB386_p0363a23師至雲間瑞應禪院,上堂。問:「三藏十二部無非權說,J37nB386_p0363a24三千七百則總是葛藤。請和尚除卻棒喝,格外提持。」J37nB386_p0363a25師打,云:「喚作棒喝,入地獄如箭射。」乃云:「長慶道:『撞著J37nB386_p0363a26道伴交肩,一生參學事畢。』大似乞兒見小利。我則不J37nB386_p0363a27然,撞著道伴交肩,不妨逢場作戲。不見道:法無定相,J37nB386_p0363a28著相乖宗;道不虛行,隨行得路。山僧邇來卸卻項上J37nB386_p0363a29三百斤鐵枷,隨情放曠,任運逍遙,優游湖海,來到雲J37nB386_p0363a30間,弔船子遺風,求幻住往蹟。杯浮三泖,泛萬頃之瀰J37nB386_p0363b01漫;筇陟九峰,觀千秋之勝概。幽尋曲討,題石品泉,市J37nB386_p0363b02走廛行,探朋訪舊,渾忘佛法身心,那有玄言妙諦?此J37nB386_p0363b03者同門法兄大淵和尚於此入廛垂手,建大法幢、擊J37nB386_p0363b04大法鼓、吹大法螺、雨大法雨,到來觀光有分,何堪重J37nB386_p0363b05上曲彔?適逢請主虔誠,推免不下,未免矢上加尖、畫J37nB386_p0363b06蛇添足去也。記得趙州訪茱萸,攜杖至法堂,從東過J37nB386_p0363b07西、從西過東,茱萸云:『老老大大作甚麼?』州云:『探水。』萸J37nB386_p0363b08云:『我者裏一滴也無,探箇甚麼?』趙州靠拄杖便出。二J37nB386_p0363b09大老驀劄相逢,將謂扶豎宗風、開發後學。簡點將來,J37nB386_p0363b10茱萸家風卻被趙州看破,趙州手腳又被茱萸捉敗。J37nB386_p0363b11據令而行,各與三十拄杖。何故?打麵還他州土麥,唱J37nB386_p0363b12歌須是帝鄉人。」
J37nB386_p0363b13宮保張太夫人為男弘勳祈福延生,修大悲懺,請上J37nB386_p0363b14堂。「眾生有千種纏縛,菩薩有千隻手眼。化眾生之執J37nB386_p0363b15礙,如春風之解凍;去眾生之迷惑,如晝日之照昏。威J37nB386_p0363b16慈折攝,權實照用,殺活縱奪,方便善巧,無非拔苦與J37nB386_p0363b17樂,超情離見。且道即今出何手眼?」揮拂子,云:「大悲菩J37nB386_p0363b18薩以清淨楊枝水遍灑三千大千世界,所有一切塵J37nB386_p0363b19勞穢惡無不蕩除消滅,三艸二木、大根大莖、中根中J37nB386_p0363b20莖、小根小莖,乘此化育,無不發萌條達,以至開花結J37nB386_p0363b21子,悉成美材妙器,為梁為棟,為瑞為祥。雖然,雨滋三J37nB386_p0363b22秀艸,片玉本來輝。」
J37nB386_p0363b23滿散,張太夫人請上堂。「佛祖以一音而演說,眾生隨J37nB386_p0363b24類而得解。鷲嶺拈花、嵩山面壁,豈不是以一音而演J37nB386_p0363b25說?德山入門便棒、臨濟入門便喝,豈不是以一音而J37nB386_p0363b26演說?石鞏張弓、道吾舞笏,豈不是以一音而演說?丹J37nB386_p0363b27霞燒木佛、翠微供羅漢,豈不是以一音而演說?瑞巖J37nB386_p0363b28者裏不解以一音而演說,一味遇緣即宗、逢場作戲,J37nB386_p0363b29有時高高山頂立、有時深深海底行,邇來借大悲神J37nB386_p0363b30力,直得豎窮三際、橫貫十虛,天雨四花、地搖六震,驚J37nB386_p0363c01動了石柱峰神出來道:『我住此山二千餘年,未聞有J37nB386_p0363c02者箇消息。』山僧不覺呵呵大笑,且道笑箇甚麼?」便下J37nB386_p0363c03座。
J37nB386_p0363c04新戒付衣,上堂。「披佛之衣,行佛之行,似佛而已。所謂J37nB386_p0363c05倚他門戶傍他牆,卻被時人喚作郎。有般漢聞與麼J37nB386_p0363c06道,我則不然,直得赤條條地,無欲無依,上無攀仰,下J37nB386_p0363c07絕己躬,嫌佛不做,嗔佛不為,寧使永劫受沉淪,不向J37nB386_p0363c08諸聖求解脫。如是作得主宰、立得腳跟,不妨一員無J37nB386_p0363c09事道人檢點將來,自救不了在。如若開鑿人天、陶鑄J37nB386_p0363c10凡聖,須是向異類中行始得。還委悉麼?不惜入泥並J37nB386_p0363c11帶水,從教戴角與披毛。」
J37nB386_p0363c12了義悟知藏緣化歸,納疏,請上堂。「釋迦老子,娑婆化J37nB386_p0363c13主;阿彌陀佛,西方化主。昨晚夢見娑婆化主問訊西J37nB386_p0363c14方化主云:『世事堪忍否?眾生易度否?』西方化主荅云:J37nB386_p0363c15『我此間名為極樂國土,水、鳥、樹林皆悉念佛,七寶池J37nB386_p0363c16內皆是金、銀、琉璃、赤珠、瑪瑙、硨磲所成,所生之人盡J37nB386_p0363c17是蓮花化生,無有世事堪忍不堪忍、眾生易度不易J37nB386_p0363c18度。』釋迦老子道:『阿彌陀佛!你享現成福,忘卻來處了J37nB386_p0363c19也。你蓮花化生之人皆是我苦娑婆眾生、七寶蓮花J37nB386_p0363c20皆是隨其福報而有。你說得一片好話,不知我在者J37nB386_p0363c21裏辛辛苦苦,多少方便權巧化來底?』阿彌陀佛云:『娑J37nB386_p0363c22婆眾生多生極樂,你因甚不歸安養?』釋迦老子被此J37nB386_p0363c23一問,直得無言可荅,禪床震動,山僧不覺驚醒。今日J37nB386_p0363c24適逢納疏請法,不妨鬥湊得恰好。設有人道:『寶華座J37nB386_p0363c25上何得說夢?』山僧道:『癡人面前不得說夢。』汝等俱是J37nB386_p0363c26靈利衲僧,道火何曾燒卻舌?只如釋迦老子因甚不J37nB386_p0363c27歸安養,長在娑婆?」一僧云:「請和尚歸方丈。」師云:「不可J37nB386_p0363c28得少為足。」悟知藏云:「但見皇風成一片,不知何處有J37nB386_p0363c29封疆?」師云:「釋迦老子即不然。何不道:業在其中,幾時J37nB386_p0363c30業盡?不到虛空撲落地,也須滄海化為塵。」
J37nB386_p0364a01師到普雨禪院,上堂。「連日法師向者裏講得天雨四J37nB386_p0364a02花、地搖六震,諸人還領略也未?若也領略,不可認奴J37nB386_p0364a03作郎;若未領略,不可喚鐘作甕。秖如山僧到者裏又J37nB386_p0364a04作麼生?若也頭上安頭,未免埋沒你諸人;若也別行J37nB386_p0364a05一路,未免惑亂你諸人。若也諸人腳跟穩當,任你佛J37nB386_p0364a06祖到來無伊插足分,何況其餘說黃道白,總是祭鬼J37nB386_p0364a07神茶飯、拭瘡疣故紙,與你諸人了無交涉。秖因腳跟J37nB386_p0364a08未穩,未免見人說有便著有、見人說無便著無、說不J37nB386_p0364a09有不無便著不有不無、說亦有亦無便著亦有亦無。J37nB386_p0364a10不見道:離四句、絕百非,達磨老子來,只求箇不受惑J37nB386_p0364a11底人。如何是不受惑底人?」一僧纔出,師便棒。僧擬問,J37nB386_p0364a12師云:「眼目定動,白雲萬里。」復舉:「一老宿一夏不說法,J37nB386_p0364a13有一僧云:『不望佛法,得聞正因二字也罷。』老宿云:『若J37nB386_p0364a14是正因,一字也無。』鄰菴一老宿聞,云:『可惜一釜羹,卻J37nB386_p0364a15被兩顆老鼠糞污卻。』」師云:「二老可謂一著高一著、一J37nB386_p0364a16步高一步,檢點將來,大似商君立法、蕭何制律。秖如J37nB386_p0364a17山僧今日與麼屙碌碌地,且道是同?是別?富嫌千口J37nB386_p0364a18少,貧恨一身多。」
J37nB386_p0364a19上堂。「眾生因貪、瞋、癡墮三惡道,諸佛以貪、瞋、癡成等J37nB386_p0364a20正覺。何也?諸佛不貪,安能萬德莊嚴?不瞋,豈能斷除J37nB386_p0364a21惡業?不癡,何以廣度眾生?既然萬德莊嚴,則貪之一J37nB386_p0364a22字息矣;既能斷除惡業,則瞋之一字息矣。至如眾生J37nB386_p0364a23無量無邊,也有可度者,也有不可度者,怎能度脫得J37nB386_p0364a24盡?則癡之一字未有了日在。是事且置,秖如瑞巖拄J37nB386_p0364a25杖子終日敲東擊西,且道:害癡?不害癡?」良久,云:「曾為J37nB386_p0364a26浪子偏憐客,自是貪杯惜醉人。」復舉:「藥山久不上堂,J37nB386_p0364a27院主白云:『大眾久思清誨,請和尚不吝慈悲。』藥山上J37nB386_p0364a28堂便下座,院主云:『因甚和尚不示一言?』藥山云:『經有J37nB386_p0364a29經師,論有論師,爭怪得老僧?』藥山幸自可憐生,被院J37nB386_p0364a30主一拶,直得屎尿一齊來。山僧亦久不上堂,此因延J37nB386_p0364b01壽證長老引爾隱禪人請法,山僧未免高陞曲彔,屙J37nB386_p0364b02碌碌地。且道:經耶?論耶?落花臺上重鋪錦,瑪瑙階前J37nB386_p0364b03布赤砂。」
J37nB386_p0364b04華嚴期滿散,上堂。「唯一堅密身,一切塵中現。所謂:現J37nB386_p0364b05聖、現凡,而無有聖、凡之相;現男、現女,而無有男、女之J37nB386_p0364b06相。乃至真中現俗、俗中現真,無中現有、有中現無,淨J37nB386_p0364b07中現染、染中現淨,空中現色、色中現空,而無有諸相,J37nB386_p0364b08再無真俗、淨染、有無、空色互現之相。如是,一切相如J37nB386_p0364b09夢、一切心如幻、一切法如響、一切佛如影,俱不可得。J37nB386_p0364b10既不可得,堅密身亦不可得,則眾生身即是佛身、法J37nB386_p0364b11界即是眾生界、此世界即是他世界、世間法即是出J37nB386_p0364b12世間法。所以,東方入定西方起、男身入定女身起、女J37nB386_p0364b13身入定天身起、天身入定凡身起、凡身入定聲聞起、J37nB386_p0364b14聲聞入定菩薩起、菩薩入定世界起、世界入定剎那J37nB386_p0364b15起、剎那入定一日起、一日入定千劫起、千劫入定以J37nB386_p0364b16至不可說不可說劫起。大眾!此以張老夫人六旬華J37nB386_p0364b17誕之辰、華嚴道場圓滿之日,山僧如是舉揚,且道所J37nB386_p0364b18生功德增壽量多少?」良久,豎拂子,云:「若向者裏薦得,J37nB386_p0364b19譬如以一切華雲、香雲、衣服鬘蓋雲乃至不可說雨J37nB386_p0364b20眾寶莊嚴雲供養百千萬億佛剎微塵數諸佛,所生J37nB386_p0364b21功德何啻千倍不及一、萬倍不及一,以至算數、譬喻J37nB386_p0364b22皆不能及一。如或未然,年年此月水亭畔,無數蓮華J37nB386_p0364b23敷滿池。」
J37nB386_p0364b24禮萬佛懺,上堂。問:「古剎重興,宗風大闡,四眾臨筵,有J37nB386_p0364b25何指示?」師云:「霜葉紅於二月花。」進云:「秖如龐居士道:J37nB386_p0364b26『十方同聚會,箇箇學無為。』未審無為作麼生學?」師云:J37nB386_p0364b27「放下著。」進云:「和尚也不得向虛空裏釘橛。」師打,云:「更J37nB386_p0364b28要頭上安頭。」乃云:「常不輕菩薩逢人便拜,且道拜箇J37nB386_p0364b29甚麼?德山、臨濟見人便棒、便喝,且道棒箇甚麼?喝箇J37nB386_p0364b30甚麼?至於擎叉打地、舞笏張弓,畢竟是箇甚麼?諸仁J37nB386_p0364c01者!若向者裏著眼,合掌低頭總不空過;如或未然,古J37nB386_p0364c02佛過去久矣。」復舉:「昔有秀才看《千佛名經》,問長沙云:J37nB386_p0364c03『百千諸佛秖聞其名,未審居何國土?還化物也無?』沙J37nB386_p0364c04云:『黃鶴樓詩,崔顥題過,秀才還曾題也未?』云:『未曾。』沙J37nB386_p0364c05云:『得閒題取一篇。』」師云:「長沙固是應機圓活、手眼通J37nB386_p0364c06身,可惜者秀才只善攻文、未知武略。若是山僧作秀J37nB386_p0364c07才,待他云:『得閒題取一篇。』便掀倒禪床。秖如今禮萬J37nB386_p0364c08佛洪名,設有人問:『居何國土?』便乃鞠躬問訊。何故?僧J37nB386_p0364c09排夏臘,俗列耆年。更為頌出:寒窗終日只攻文,不見J37nB386_p0364c10長安見白雲,黃鶴樓詩千古話,晴川歷歷漢陽濆。」
J37nB386_p0364c11開爐,上堂。問:「古剎中興大有緣,剎竿重豎靄祥煙,煆J37nB386_p0364c12凡煉聖即不問,一鎚打就事如何?」師云:「費力不少。」進J37nB386_p0364c13云:「昔日大通智勝佛十劫坐道場,因甚佛法不現前,J37nB386_p0364c14不得成佛道?」師云:「文不加點。」問:「有疑有問,未審和尚J37nB386_p0364c15還許否?」師云:「不許。」進云:「恁麼則夜靜水寒魚不餌,滿J37nB386_p0364c16船空載月明歸。」師云:「蒼天,蒼天。」乃云:「天地未形之際、J37nB386_p0364c17陰陽未判以前,早有者箇爐鞴,聖不鼓鑄、凡不煆煉,J37nB386_p0364c18一道平等,浩然大均,縱有妙密鉗錘也須縮手。諸仁J37nB386_p0364c19還知者箇時節麼?便好散去,將謂無合殺。」拈拄杖,云:J37nB386_p0364c20「山僧今日於拄杖頭上開箇紅爐,一切凡情聖解、一J37nB386_p0364c21大藏破故紙、千七百爛葛藤總向者裏銷鎔,鑄一箇J37nB386_p0364c22鐵橛子,拋向東,東方世界粉碎;拋向西,西方世界平J37nB386_p0364c23沉;拋來擲去,南方、北方、四維、上下悉皆消殞。佛來搖J37nB386_p0364c24動不得,祖來移易不能,塞在汝諸仁面前作何處置?」J37nB386_p0364c25良久,云:「莫云老漢無方便,只要人參鐵橛禪。」卓一卓,J37nB386_p0364c26下座。
J37nB386_p0364c27元旦,上堂。問:「一片皇風歸有道,瓣香聊祝聖明君。如J37nB386_p0364c28何是新年頭佛法?」師豎起拂子。進云:「如何是新年佛J37nB386_p0364c29法有?」師云:「也有,也不有。」進云:「如何是新年佛法無?」師J37nB386_p0364c30云:「也無,也不無。」乃云:「新年頭佛法,適纔有人問過了,J37nB386_p0365a01最初一句無人道著,山僧不可不道,諸人不可不知。J37nB386_p0365a02不見道:識得一,萬事畢;透得一,無阻隔。天得一以清,J37nB386_p0365a03地得一以寧,君王得一天下太平。」良久,云:「山僧擬開J37nB386_p0365a04口,已是第二句了;諸人纔側聆,已是第二頭。還會麼?J37nB386_p0365a05爾善知時節,我今不再三。」
J37nB386_p0365a06龍牙雲叟和尚語錄編成付梓,龍牙監院奯雪侍者J37nB386_p0365a07慈照請上堂。問:「龍牙山裏龍,晴空澍大雨,推倒涅槃J37nB386_p0365a08城,佛祖位不住。因甚今日在和尚拂子頭上塵說剎J37nB386_p0365a09說無間歇?」師云:「竿木隨身,逢場作戲。」進云:「昔日雪峰J37nB386_p0365a10三上投子、九到洞山,因甚麼向鼇山成道?」師云:「南山J37nB386_p0365a11起雲,北山下雨。」進云:「後來住菴,有僧敲門,雪峰放身J37nB386_p0365a12出云:『是什麼?』僧亦云:『是什麼?』還有優劣也無?」師云:「焦J37nB386_p0365a13磚打著連底凍。」進云:「為甚麼雲峰低頭歸菴?」師云:「爛J37nB386_p0365a14泥裏有刺。」進云:「僧舉似巖頭,頭云:『我當時若向伊道J37nB386_p0365a15末後句,天下人不奈雪老何。』作麼生是末後句?」師云:J37nB386_p0365a16「風前雪彈子。」進云:「頭云:『我與雪峰同條生,不與雪峰J37nB386_p0365a17同條死。要識末後句,只者是。』意旨如何?」師云:「若把是J37nB386_p0365a18非來入耳,從前知己盡成仇。」進云:「秖如雪峰末後句J37nB386_p0365a19巖頭證明,今朝雲叔末後句和尚證明,和尚末後句J37nB386_p0365a20阿誰作證?」師云:「大眾側聆。」進云:「一堂風冷淡,千古意J37nB386_p0365a21分明。」師云:「且莫錯流傳。」乃云:「黃面墨曇,大喻三十,小J37nB386_p0365a22喻八百,說成一大藏,猶云『始從鹿野苑,終至跋提河,J37nB386_p0365a23如是二中間,未曾說一字。』大似掩耳偷鈴,抱贓叫屈。J37nB386_p0365a24周金剛燒卻青龍鈔,拈條赤楖栗,佛來祖來也棒,猶J37nB386_p0365a25較些子,及乎道箇『吾宗無語句,亦無一法與人。』分明J37nB386_p0365a26此處無銀三十兩。爭似我龍牙和尚胸次不存元字J37nB386_p0365a27腳,頂門卻具摩醯眼,聊借洞庭湖為一張口,掇君山J37nB386_p0365a28作箇舌頭,八百里之波瀾,千萬頃之空闊,默時說,說J37nB386_p0365a29時默,大施門開無擁塞,一一從胸襟流出,與我蓋天J37nB386_p0365a30蓋地去在。雖然如是舉揚,也是謗他不少,何故?鳳棲J37nB386_p0365b01不在梧桐樹,碧落寒潭寫影長。」
J37nB386_p0365b02解制,上堂。「霜凝水凍,當時結也;日暖風和,而今解也。J37nB386_p0365b03所謂時節若至,其理自彰。秖如道:太陽門下,日日三J37nB386_p0365b04秋;明月堂前,時時九夏。還知得者箇消息麼?知得者J37nB386_p0365b05箇消息,常在途中,不離家舍;常居家舍,不離途中。三J37nB386_p0365b06條椽下即是百城煙水,擔囊負缽豈殊疊足蒲團?如J37nB386_p0365b07是,則結也如是,解也亦如是。若不如是,雲自帝鄉去,J37nB386_p0365b08水從江漢流。」
J37nB386_p0365b09華嚴期滿散,上堂。「一切菩薩初從有為法而入無為J37nB386_p0365b10地,復不住無為地而示現諸神變,作諸種種如夢、如J37nB386_p0365b11幻、如化、如影三昧,度脫夢、幻、化、影之眾生,而實無滅J37nB386_p0365b12度者。此龍牙雲叟和尚生前舉揚宗教,正令高提有J37nB386_p0365b13雲門、丹霞之作略,而末後遺貲乃諄諄囑諸徒子廣J37nB386_p0365b14興佛事,到處供佛、飯僧、懺禮、𮘗誦、轉藏經、點塔燈、齋J37nB386_p0365b15羅漢以至濟貧、施茶、放生,凡諸功德無一不為,雖與J37nB386_p0365b16菩薩前後次第互相激揚而有差別,實與諸菩薩同J37nB386_p0365b17一見聞、同一行願、同一化導、同一廣大而不相差別J37nB386_p0365b18者也。於此,瑞巖𮘗雜華大典,今逢滿散之日,弟子奯J37nB386_p0365b19雪、慈照請山僧陞座,復為舉揚。」豎拂,云:「華藏莊嚴世J37nB386_p0365b20界海不可說佛剎微塵數諸佛、諸菩薩眾盡向此一J37nB386_p0365b21毫端上煥然顯現,成就不可說不思議無量無邊如J37nB386_p0365b22實清淨、同異差別神通光明,而此一毫端不加增、華J37nB386_p0365b23藏世界海不加減,亦不寬博、亦不狹劣、亦無來去古J37nB386_p0365b24今之相。諸人若也信得及,即此一毫端便是菩提場J37nB386_p0365b25中普光明殿,亦便是兜率、夜摩、他化自在天之蓮華J37nB386_p0365b26藏獅子之座,等無有異,無有纖毫同相、亦無纖毫別J37nB386_p0365b27相、亦無纖毫自他差別之相。然而,諸人信得及亦在J37nB386_p0365b28裏許、信不及亦在裏許、信與不信總在裏許。何故聻?J37nB386_p0365b29不見道:譬如虛空無不包容,又如大地無不承載。雖J37nB386_p0365b30然與麼境界,普賢象王鼻孔許汝摸著半邊,文殊獅J37nB386_p0365c01子爪牙且道在什麼處?」揮拂子,云:「生平不遇鍾郎聽,J37nB386_p0365c02誰識高山流水音?」
J37nB386_p0365c03開爐,上堂。問:「大開爐鞴,煆聖煉凡,忽有不受鉗錘底J37nB386_p0365c04到來,如何煆煉?」師云:「堪作什麼?」進云:「掀翻海嶽求知J37nB386_p0365c05己,撥轉乾坤見太平。」師云:「已遲八刻。」問:「結制即不問,J37nB386_p0365c06如何是踢翻漆桶邊事?」師云:「道什麼?」進云:「粧聾作啞,J37nB386_p0365c07有甚了期?」師云:「識甚好惡?」進云:「和尚不得壓良為賤。」J37nB386_p0365c08師云:「沒量大人。」乃云:「諸方舊例,十月開爐,瑞巖遠出J37nB386_p0365c09方還,蹉跎半月餘,便見冷湫湫地。若論爐頭熱鬧,不J37nB386_p0365c10過多幾塊頑銅鈍鐵,果要驚天動地,須是冷灰裏豆J37nB386_p0365c11爆一聲,使天下人摸索不著。不見道:若能自解倒騎J37nB386_p0365c12驢,一生不落他人後。」復云:「散以七淨花,去卻淨邊垢,J37nB386_p0365c13布以八解水,除卻垢邊淨,淨垢一齊洗,猶是法身病,J37nB386_p0365c14洗到無可洗,入水見長人。」
J37nB386_p0365c15解冬,上堂。「古人道:『兄弟東去西去,直須向萬里無寸J37nB386_p0365c16艸處去。』我則不然,兄弟東去西去,不可向不毛之地J37nB386_p0365c17處去。簡點將來,也是徐六擔板。須是恁麼也得、不恁J37nB386_p0365c18麼也得、恁麼不恁麼總得。雖然,更有一著,若到諸方,J37nB386_p0365c19不得錯舉。」
J37nB386_p0365c20神鼎符長老省師辭院,請上堂。「端祖道:『端的得一回J37nB386_p0365c21汗出,一莖草上現出玉殿瓊樓。』大眾!從上風規甚非J37nB386_p0365c22細事。」拈拄杖,云:「瑞巖門下者裏翻身去,續燄聯芳,興J37nB386_p0365c23家立業,化荊棘為旃檀林,變瓦礫為釋梵宮,直得山J37nB386_p0365c24河大地同一口說,萬象森羅同一體用。所以,進則有J37nB386_p0365c25綱有紀,退則可尚可風,闡揚佛祖真機,開鑿人天正J37nB386_p0365c26眼。就路還家即不問,功成身退事如何?祖庭增色嘉J37nB386_p0365c27聲振,何處青山不帶春?」
J37nB386_p0365c28法華懺期,含大戎邑侯請上堂。「世尊說法,多寶證明;J37nB386_p0365c29瑞巖說法,阿誰證明?」拈拄杖,云:「來也。大眾!者尊上座J37nB386_p0365c30何似多寶佛塔?但能薦得火宅當地清涼,窮子便承J37nB386_p0366a01家安業,其間巧設方便、譬喻言詞,龍女獻珠已遲八J37nB386_p0366a02刻、藥王燒身未為精進;如或未然,更借釋迦老子舌J37nB386_p0366a03頭水漉漉去也。」卓拄杖,云:「是法非思量分別之所能J37nB386_p0366a04解,亦非見聞覺知之所能及,過去諸佛已為一大事J37nB386_p0366a05因緣故出現於世、未來諸佛當為一大事因緣故出J37nB386_p0366a06現於世、現在諸佛今為一大事因緣故出現於世,十J37nB386_p0366a07方如來、河沙菩薩、山河大地、日月星辰、人畜艸芥、有J37nB386_p0366a08情無情,總向者裏大扣大鳴、小扣小鳴、大根大莖、小J37nB386_p0366a09根小莖,唯此一事實,餘二即非真,是以無言詞處曲J37nB386_p0366a10為言詞、無方便中特開方便。不見道:若人散亂心,乃J37nB386_p0366a11至以一華舉一手,或復但合掌、小低頭,漸見無數佛,J37nB386_p0366a12自成無上道,何況五體投誠而不成正覺?雖然,秖如J37nB386_p0366a13祖意、教意,畢竟是同?是別?」揮拂子,云:「但見皇風成一J37nB386_p0366a14片,不知何處有封疆。」
J37nB386_p0366a15德生、履珍菴主等,請上堂。舉拂子,云:「者朵優曇花,三J37nB386_p0366a16千年一現,不可作希有想,亦不可作平常見。若作希J37nB386_p0366a17有想,則埋沒己靈;若作平常見,則孤負先聖。若能不J37nB386_p0366a18昧己靈、不孤先聖,眼不著色,無色不辨;耳不著聲,無J37nB386_p0366a19聲不明;鼻不著香,無香不知;舌不著味,無味不識;身J37nB386_p0366a20不著觸,無身不現;意不著想,無事不了。不是神通玅J37nB386_p0366a21用,亦非法爾如然。所以,諸法如是相、如是性、如是體、J37nB386_p0366a22如是力、如是因、如是緣、如是果、如是報。說到者裏,若J37nB386_p0366a23有箇禪和道:『長老與麼屈曲垂慈,猶是化城邊事。』山J37nB386_p0366a24僧不覺呵呵大笑。何故?」擲拂子,云:「渡河須用筏,到岸J37nB386_p0366a25不須舟。」
J37nB386_p0366a26水隆揆長老請上堂。問:「十二峰高不記重,晴光爍破J37nB386_p0366a27太虛空。如何是瑞巖境?」師云:「你也見,我也見。」進云:「如J37nB386_p0366a28何是境中人?」師云:「者邊也是,那邊也是。」進云:「如何是J37nB386_p0366a29人中意?」師云:「阿誰瞞你?」乃舉:「馬祖闡化江西南嶽,讓J37nB386_p0366a30祖一日謂眾曰:『道一為眾說法否?』眾曰:『為眾說法也。』J37nB386_p0366b01『總未有人持箇消息來。』乃遣僧去,囑曰:『待伊上堂,汝J37nB386_p0366b02問:「作麼生?」伊有言句記取來。』其僧去,一依讓祖旨,回J37nB386_p0366b03曰:『馬大師道:「自從湖亂後,三十年不少鹽醬。」』讓祖然J37nB386_p0366b04之。」師曰:「讓祖養子之緣則不無,然而知子莫若父,何J37nB386_p0366b05必重新兜搭?瑞巖揆西堂一別十載,杳無消息,我亦J37nB386_p0366b06不去問他,今朝忽然歸省,乃知遷住兩剎,為人說法J37nB386_p0366b07了也。且道說箇什麼?諸人不知,山僧不妨舉似。」揮拂J37nB386_p0366b08子,云:「若將耳聽終難會,眼底聞來始得親。」
J37nB386_p0366b09六溪後堂領王獻之居士祈子,請上堂。問:「請法拈槌J37nB386_p0366b10即不問,子歸就父是如何?」師云:「西風一陣來,落葉兩J37nB386_p0366b11三片。」進云:「恁麼則一回相見一回新。」師云:「且過一邊。」J37nB386_p0366b12進云:「秖如王居士因齋慶讚,未審功歸何所?」師云:「種J37nB386_p0366b13麻得麻。」進云:「恁麼則棒頭點出石麟千,十二峰前散J37nB386_p0366b14彩雲。」師云:「阿誰不願?」問:「止止不須說,我法玅難思,諸J37nB386_p0366b15增上慢者,聞必不敬信。還信底是?不信底是?」師云:「信J37nB386_p0366b16也得,不信也得。」進云:「坐斷舌頭。」師打,云:「喫棒有分。」乃J37nB386_p0366b17云:「大士願力不取正覺,常行六度,不為慈父而為慈J37nB386_p0366b18母,從佛口生、從法化生、從因緣生,求男得男、求女得J37nB386_p0366b19女,然而花根本艷、豹體元斑,藍田孕玉,種自天然,合J37nB386_p0366b20浦產珠,苗原有異。秖如於瑞巖生箇什麼?雨滋三秀J37nB386_p0366b21艸,花發萬年枝。」
J37nB386_p0366b22上堂。「止止不須說,我法玅難思。五千退席,卻較些子;J37nB386_p0366b23十劫坐道,佛法不現。設使現前,有何交涉?殊不知衣J37nB386_p0366b24中之寶,安用遠求?髻頂之珠,阿誰無分?常不輕與麼J37nB386_p0366b25道,槌殺千箇萬箇,有什麼罪過?然雖如是,妙舞也須J37nB386_p0366b26誇遍拍,三臺應是大家催。」
