J26nB188_p0786c04示唐祈遠居士
J26nB188_p0786c05欲出塵勞、斷生死而證無上菩提者,必須參扣話頭J26nB188_p0786c06而期妙悟也。所言話頭者,即自己本地風光,歷歷孤J26nB188_p0786c07明,不可絲毫間斷。古云:「暫時不在,如同死人。」要念茲J26nB188_p0786c08在茲,如此做去,或三年、五年、十年、二十年打成一片。J26nB188_p0786c09人法俱空,偷心淨盡,露裸裸,赤灑灑,如明鏡當臺,物J26nB188_p0786c10來斯鑑,來無所粘、去無存跡,不執留、不計憶,任運騰J26nB188_p0786c11騰,覓絲毫起滅之相了不可得,此時方喚作大光明J26nB188_p0786c12藏也。雖然如是,須知更有向上一竅在。且道如何是J26nB188_p0786c13向上一竅?石女懶畫眉,木人呵呵笑。
示張我復居士
J26nB188_p0786c15道本現成,仁者自昧,但向己求,莫從他覓。何也?蓋人J26nB188_p0786c16人腳跟下一著子,本來現成,二六時中放光動地,輝J26nB188_p0786c17騰古今,無有間然。良由眾生迷背自己光明,循諸聲J26nB188_p0786c18色,念念攀緣,無有停息,曾不自知,故稱為迷也。公等J26nB188_p0786c19既已知非,必須發勇猛心,立金剛智,二六時中但扣J26nB188_p0786c20已而參,密密孜孜,看這見色聞聲,生心動念,妄相攀J26nB188_p0786c21緣,屙屎放尿,拖著死屍行的畢竟是個何物?從無始J26nB188_p0786c22以來至於今日,還有第二人耶?還有第二念耶?若無J26nB188_p0786c23第二人、第二念可見,秪是自己一段光明,何不如此J26nB188_p0786c24著眼承當個事,免向外求,窮劫無有得時,轉求轉遠J26nB188_p0786c25也。如此見得透、信得及,此但秪是今世門頭,古人喚J26nB188_p0786c26作弄光影漢,須知更有空劫已前一著子聲色之所J26nB188_p0786c27不到者,古人所謂無聲無臭,此也誠能離卻聲色,至J26nB188_p0786c28於靜悄悄、虛寂寂、露裸裸時,自然與他相應。不然,光J26nB188_p0786c29陰易度,時不待人。努力!努力!
示笥石禪人
J26nB188_p0787a01迥然獨露,不用尋思。湛海圓澄,森羅隨映。剎那忘炤,J26nB188_p0787a02瞥爾情生,智境睧曚,白雲萬里。直須向隨緣應用處,J26nB188_p0787a03拄定腳跟,不昧絲毫,看是何物?忽然摸著自己鼻孔,J26nB188_p0787a04打翻舊日家風,一段光明,始能常在。○會麼?朔風滿J26nB188_p0787a05地霜花巧,凍日和光澹蕩行。
示胡內生
J26nB188_p0787a07家國無常,身勢幻夢,念念遷謝,不暫停留。學道之人,J26nB188_p0787a08惟在決志透徹祖師巴鼻、洞見聖賢心肝,作一個頂J26nB188_p0787a09天立地大丈夫漢也。若要作此一大丈夫漢,二六時J26nB188_p0787a10中不被聲色轉,不被名譽縛,莫苦飢寒,勿受利養,秪J26nB188_p0787a11究己事為懷,切參為念。雖與眾同處,不與眾同流。切J26nB188_p0787a12切孜孜,綿綿密密,忽爾相逢,平生慶快。到此方知聖J26nB188_p0787a13賢佛祖也,生死與涅槃也,才智也文學也,是甚麼爛J26nB188_p0787a14狗污,始覺本來無一事也。勉之,勉之!
示躍雲禪友
J26nB188_p0787a16一躍而登青雲,至也。雖至涅槃義天,不可坐卻,直須J26nB188_p0787a17轉身離位。亦不可住於這邊,雖聞聲見色,亦不可分J26nB188_p0787a18別青黃好反,應物現形,如水上胡蘆相似;圓陀陀、活J26nB188_p0787a19潑潑、轉轆轆底,無有絲毫住著,方能妙運無窮也。若J26nB188_p0787a20如此行去三二十年,自然煩惱不能縛,生死不能拘。J26nB188_p0787a21捧足既無路,潛覷豈有門?閻羅老子雖有供養,亦無J26nB188_p0787a22處施設。古云:「那邊不坐空王殿,豈肯耘田向日輪?」然J26nB188_p0787a23雖如是,更須知有向上一著子始得。欲知向上一著J26nB188_p0787a24麼?鑑湖明月映,爐嶽白雲封。
示隱頤禪人
J26nB188_p0787a26皖城僧隱頤設齋,懷香入室,求開示。師打一竹篦云:J26nB188_p0787a27「會麼?」頤曰:「不會。」師又打一竹篦,云:「會麼?」曰:「不會。」師云:J26nB188_p0787a28「不知痛癢漢。」頤悲淚,乞求微細開示。師云:「求開示底J26nB188_p0787a29是甚麼人?」曰:「不知。」師云:「即此求開示者,當下是汝自J26nB188_p0787a30己本來面目,亙古亙今,先天地不生,後天地不滅。經J26nB188_p0787b01中所謂不生不滅,二六時中了了常知心心無間,色J26nB188_p0787b02經眼即知青黃赤白,聲歷耳即知鐘鈴鑼鼓,氣入鼻J26nB188_p0787b03即知香臭腥羶,味入舌即知甜酸苦辣,觸入身即知J26nB188_p0787b04冷煖澀滑,意思法即知過未善惡。現現成成,絲毫不J26nB188_p0787b05昧。為甚麼不自領略,返向他求也?」頤曰:「若如此者,莫J26nB188_p0787b06認識心乎?」師即喚云:「隱頤。」頤即應諾。師云:「是識耶?是J26nB188_p0787b07真耶?」頤曰:「弟子愚昧不知,乞求和尚說破。」師云:「古人J26nB188_p0787b08道:『佛法不離穿衣吃飯處,屙屎放尿處迎賓待客處。J26nB188_p0787b09生心動念,即不是了也。』汝不生心、不動念,喚一聲,應J26nB188_p0787b10一聲,且道不是汝本來面目,是個甚麼?此處不可喚J26nB188_p0787b11作識也。」頤曰:「若然者,識與真何所分乎?乞垂指示。」師J26nB188_p0787b12云:「見色聞聲,歷歷孤明,不生分別者,曰真曰智;生心J26nB188_p0787b13動念思量分別者,曰妄曰識。所以云:生心動念即不J26nB188_p0787b14是也。」頤曰:「蒙和尚慈悲開示,若恁麼,則大煞現成,云J26nB188_p0787b15何又說參話頭做工夫?」師曰:「秪為分明極,翻令所得J26nB188_p0787b16遲。只為你不信,所以教你參話頭做工夫,做來做去,J26nB188_p0787b17做到結角羅紋處,偷心淨盡。忽爾觸著自己本來面J26nB188_p0787b18目,方始信得及也。你若當下肯信,何用許多週遮,與J26nB188_p0787b19他三二十年做工夫,信的總是一般。三世諸佛出來,J26nB188_p0787b20只要人信自心是佛。所以云:『一切眾生皆具如來智J26nB188_p0787b21慧德相。』又云:『一切眾生皆證圓覺。』又云:『汝等所行是J26nB188_p0787b22菩薩道。』豈不直指爾耶?又臨濟曰:『道流即此歷歷孤J26nB188_p0787b23明,聽者聞者,是汝自己佛,更莫外求。』馬祖曰:『即心是J26nB188_p0787b24佛。』又僧問歸宗:『如何是佛?』宗曰:『即汝便是。』僧曰:『如何J26nB188_p0787b25保任?』宗曰:『一翳在眼,空花亂墜。』何其直捷?何其現成?J26nB188_p0787b26豈非要人直下信去也?」頤曰:「蒙和尚委曲開示,弟子J26nB188_p0787b27信得及,怎柰無始已來妄想流注何?」師云:「汝喚甚麼J26nB188_p0787b28作妄想?古人云:『識得不為冤,曾非別人。』羅山問巖頭:J26nB188_p0787b29『起滅不停時如何?』頭云:『是誰起滅?』當知妄想全體是J26nB188_p0787b30個自己。若人識得心,大地無寸土,何塵境之有哉?汝J26nB188_p0787c01今於妄想既不能全體擔荷,當以智力治之。一觀妄J26nB188_p0787c02想,當體全空,了不可得;一於妄想起時,莫生厭心、斷J26nB188_p0787c03他心,亦莫隨順他去。古云:『但有念起,即莫隨之。』則久J26nB188_p0787c04久工夫純熟,自然成一真法界矣。勉之。」頤作禮,再叩J26nB188_p0787c05而退。
示鏡愚禪人
J26nB188_p0787c07今時住靜者,或以偷安躲懶為事者,或哄幾個齋公、J26nB188_p0787c08齋婆以過日者,或孜孜於茶筍、山花以營為者,皆非J26nB188_p0787c09道人之所為也。汝當發大志,奮大勇猛,以本分事為J26nB188_p0787c10念,飲食、衣服助道而已。若可消遣即休,不必苦勞身J26nB188_p0787c11心,虛度歲月,學彼不唧溜者。但自知足,即是富貴。古J26nB188_p0787c12所謂憂道不憂貧也。爾其勉之。
示存焉禪人
J26nB188_p0787c14學道之人,將心地打點得乾乾淨淨,不留一絲毫雜J26nB188_p0787c15念,則真心之所存焉。若有一毫之念而起者,則蓋覆J26nB188_p0787c16自心,為障為礙,昏沉暗昧,真體何繇而得明潔也?若J26nB188_p0787c17真心存,則定水清、慧鑑朗,萬象莫能逃其形,生佛莫J26nB188_p0787c18能隱其質。昭昭然物來無所粘,迥迥焉物過不留跡,J26nB188_p0787c19寂靜孤圓,卓爾象表,豈三世十方之所間隔者哉?
示離愚禪人
J26nB188_p0787c21天人執有愚也;二乘墮空愚也;菩薩住於中道愚也;J26nB188_p0787c22等覺菩薩有微細所知并極微細所知愚也。衲僧有J26nB188_p0787c23禪道佛法見知,逮機鋒轉語,向上向下,全提半提,總J26nB188_p0787c24皆愚也。佛雖五住究盡、二死永亡,以法界海慧,炤了J26nB188_p0787c25諸相,猶如虛空。若見量未脫,此亦愚也。且道作麼生J26nB188_p0787c26得離愚去?咦!三腳香爐騰過海,無毛鷂子撲天飛。
示恒闃禪人
J26nB188_p0787c28雪關云:「鏡愈磨而光愈現。」古人云:「打破鏡來與汝相J26nB188_p0787c29見,又作麼生?」若向這裏會得,方好參禪,可吃崆峒手J26nB188_p0787c30中痛棒。不然則踏破鐵鞋無覓處,徒勞磨煉費工夫。
示曹自悅居士
J26nB188_p0788a02僧問趙州:「狗子還有佛性也無?」州云:「無。」但恁麼看去,J26nB188_p0788a03因甚道無,不得作有會、不得作無會,但只提一聲無,J26nB188_p0788a04又恁麼看定。行亦如是、坐亦如是,動靜閒忙亦如是。J26nB188_p0788a05參來參去,忽爾㘞地一聲,看破無字,捉敗趙州,則不J26nB188_p0788a06被天下老和尚舌頭所瞞。曹公還識無字落處麼?遍J26nB188_p0788a07地霜花美,朔風夜正寒。
