J39nB447_p0411b03籠南卓錫,宦侶時逢,雖有脫略名位、瀟灑禪林者,未J39nB447_p0411b04有如檀臺之真切也。別後承寄佳章,意句清逸,不減J39nB447_p0411b05子瞻之風。雖然,第不識煙未磨、管未搦時,這些尖新J39nB447_p0411b06句子在甚麼處?若見得親切,是真現宰官身而說法J39nB447_p0411b07於當世,又何須山僧雲外通關者哉?謹復來韻。傾蓋J39nB447_p0411b08投交天榜前籠南有天榜山,深談未盡又南還,寄來詩句惟J39nB447_p0411b09親道,放去情懷秪愛山。若使個中能格物,何須雲外J39nB447_p0411b10乞通關?慇勤說與知音者,形影休分儒釋間。
復廣南姜副戎
J39nB447_p0411b12十年未晤面,千里尚同風。大護法未必不然此說也。J39nB447_p0411b13昨接瑤章併鴛鴦蓮檄,如坐上品蓮臺,而八萬四千J39nB447_p0411b14毛孔悉皆生香矣。我大護法威鎮滇池,德馨草木,而J39nB447_p0411b15六詔之地,無不應以希有之瑞。愧山林野逸,學淺才J39nB447_p0411b16疏,弗能多吐筆花,而為帥府生色。雖賦詩四章,不過J39nB447_p0411b17勉強應知交之教,曷能盡善盡美哉!上年二公郎入J39nB447_p0411b18滇,曾寄拙錄三本,想已叱存。今寄《雨花集》二冊、《棲霞J39nB447_p0411b19草》一本,以供清翫。待菊吐疏籬,雁橫秋水,遣徒來南J39nB447_p0411b20奉候,亦未可定。不宣。
與慧穎上座
J39nB447_p0411b22客歲霞章,旋知上座幽居泉石、靜臥煙霞,雖是識時J39nB447_p0411b23宜、知進退,但接物利生之要,不可不預為操履。若夫J39nB447_p0411b24避懶偷安、就方取便,非為後學無依,亦且法門無補。J39nB447_p0411b25山僧自入滇南,任緣行寓,或挂瓢笠於旅舍、或踏霜J39nB447_p0411b26雪於長途,無非流通此道、報先師恩,非有別意而取J39nB447_p0411b27如此之辛苦。年來幻體多病、鬢已添絲,惟嗟佛日西J39nB447_p0411b28沉、祖風落寞,冀上座應宜鞭策、力振綱宗,致使曹源J39nB447_p0411b29復漲、覺樹再春,非但山僧有幸,則法門亦有幸也。
與龍梅友人
J39nB447_p0411c01行化之緣,寧可末勝於始,不可始勝於末。末勝於始,J39nB447_p0411c02萬不失一;始勝於末,萬無一得。是知行化之士,不可J39nB447_p0411c03不慎其始末得失也。
與安籠蘭總戎
J39nB447_p0411c05日麗翫龍韜,玉帶增山海之秀;風和登虎閣,錦袍吐J39nB447_p0411c06天地之春。當此之際,但不識大護法還念及天外孤J39nB447_p0411c07雲、松間野鶴否?想十年之前,與大護法座分籠海、景J39nB447_p0411c08眺榜山,彈沒絃琴於柳營、唱無生曲於帥府。豈意十J39nB447_p0411c09年之後,隔去關河七百里,添來鬚鬢幾多霜?空懷月J39nB447_p0411c10白風清,徒頌渭雲江樹。然關河不能間隔,鬚鬢不能J39nB447_p0411c11更改,的與大護法時時覿面、日日談心,我大護法未J39nB447_p0411c12必不然此說也。待山搖艾虎旗,池舞菖蒲劍,定得烏J39nB447_p0411c13藤縱我新行腳,寶帳還君舊話頭。不悉。
與明副戎
J39nB447_p0411c15鶴雲拖嶺,膏雨凌空。老檀越威鎮黔籠,名喧滇楚,其J39nB447_p0411c16間名山大川,煙景如畫。當此之際,運於六韜、發乎三J39nB447_p0411c17略,沛然而為功為勳者,不知其幾幾也。山僧昔在籠J39nB447_p0411c18南,承老檀越手垂回天、力運轉地,致令梵剎煥然,諸J39nB447_p0411c19般成就,已竟靈山之願矣。不意分袂來省,卓錫東山,J39nB447_p0411c20被人喚作關山遠阻。殊不知月下趺蒲、風前酌茗之J39nB447_p0411c21間,莫不與之晤對,又何嘗違我老檀越哉?今值花寫J39nB447_p0411c22陣圖,鳥談兵法,是以不違世相,磨煙勒函,一則以候J39nB447_p0411c23新禧,一則以鳴謝悃。但不識老檀越以時節毫楮而J39nB447_p0411c24見山僧耶?不以時節毫楮而見山僧耶?
復開伯牟鄉紳
J39nB447_p0411c26十餘年,山僧昆池玩月、檀越黔嶺鋤花,殊不知月明J39nB447_p0411c27花笑之間,我兩人莫不晤對,及至握手東山、談心幽J39nB447_p0411c28室,與疇昔之盤桓宛然無異,又何有分襟聚首之可J39nB447_p0411c29論哉?忽接大教,盥爇啟函,讀至既辱故交,何坐觀沉J39nB447_p0411c30淪而不為我作慈航之句,令山僧可發一笑。何也?自J39nB447_p0412a01清源叨愛已來,迄今十有七載,每於覿面之際,未嘗J39nB447_p0412a02不直截敷陳。檀越來,山僧則與之迎;檀越去,山僧則J39nB447_p0412a03與之送;檀越舉杯,山僧亦與之舉;檀越拈箸,山僧亦J39nB447_p0412a04與之拈。誰謂正法眼藏、涅槃玅心不與和盤托出,檀J39nB447_p0412a05越何當面錯過之如此耶?是知佛法在一切處,一切J39nB447_p0412a06處即是佛法。若離一切處別求至要,則是撥波覓火、J39nB447_p0412a07掘地尋天,無有是處。從上淑哲與士大夫提持此道,J39nB447_p0412a08未有不在一切處而提持者也。所以山谷居士問黃J39nB447_p0412a09龍禪師:「如何是吾無隱乎爾?」龍云:「公聞木犀花香麼?」J39nB447_p0412a10谷云:「聞。」龍云:「吾無隱乎爾。」谷當下大悟。以是觀之,則J39nB447_p0412a11佛法未嘗離一切處,一切處未嘗不是佛法。公既留J39nB447_p0412a12心此道,應須舒頂𩕳眼作如是觀,一朝摸著鼻孔,始J39nB447_p0412a13知舉杯拈箸、迎來送去,以至玩月鋤花,一切等處無J39nB447_p0412a14不是本有之道也。
與台星夏鄉紳
J39nB447_p0412a16握別以來,冰暑四易,想名公未嘗不憶山僧,而山僧J39nB447_p0412a17亦未嘗不憶名公也。而今卓錫鎮西,知音罕遇,致令J39nB447_p0412a18一枝無孔笛,灰砌塵凝,無可弄處。鎮日靜掩禪扉,焚J39nB447_p0412a19香兀坐,但不識何時水塘剎上,與名公烹茗話道,分J39nB447_p0412a20韻賦詩,而再續勝緣哉?不悉。
復蕭漢臣鄉紳
J39nB447_p0412a22三十餘年不晤,一旦聚首談心,令人慶快何及。昨接J39nB447_p0412a23華扎并佳製,展讀之餘,心目雙豁。何期士林之中,布J39nB447_p0412a24出此一天花雨也。從來斷情見、破疑網,荷出格事,非J39nB447_p0412a25大器大能血性男子不可。況公高蹈山林,交遊吾輩,J39nB447_p0412a26應堪吹無孔笛,賞太平時。可惜聲前句子,未遇其人,J39nB447_p0412a27猶屬半邊漢在。倘不吝步,何妨乘春策杖,再上棲霞,J39nB447_p0412a28與公徹底道破,做個在家和尚,始不負重晤之機會J39nB447_p0412a29也。謹復。
與方伯柯大檀越
J39nB447_p0412b01承大檀越措愛已來,彈指焂三載矣。而敝山叢林炳J39nB447_p0412b02煥,法道維新,非大檀越偉護泉石,曷能臻此殊勝之J39nB447_p0412b03若是?但山僧德涼行薄,福淺緣輕,被境風吹向天涯,J39nB447_p0412b04弗覺又違大教三季,雖旦夕未獲共談實相,而針劄J39nB447_p0412b05不入處,無時不晤會焉。近聞暫居林下,靜息山齋,聽J39nB447_p0412b06竹裏之清風,對松間之明月,若非塵空眼底,垢淨胸J39nB447_p0412b07頭,安得據此清虛境界?雖錦衣玉食,象簡金魚,乃世J39nB447_p0412b08間之最貴,正眼觀來,亦不過花間露耳。我佛有言:「一J39nB447_p0412b09切有為法,如夢幻泡影。」大檀越未必不作如是觀,待J39nB447_p0412b10冰解南明,花開銅嶺,定得再話西來也。不悉。
候慕制臺
J39nB447_p0412b12惟大檀越心存覺路,意注禪宗,遂能法席生輝,祖庭J39nB447_p0412b13起色。不獨象山撫掌,亦且鳳嶺揚眉。比望德雨恒霑,J39nB447_p0412b14仁風永沐。豈期相星高轉,播美政於吳天;祿位喬遷,J39nB447_p0412b15遺甘棠於黔地。致令水雲長戀,龍象增思。閒頌遺句,J39nB447_p0412b16恍如對以芳型;靜坐丹楹,未免懷其信念。但不識重J39nB447_p0412b17領大愛、再續奇緣於何日也。是用肅啟,遙候萬安。臨J39nB447_p0412b18穎瞻依,曷勝眷念。
與張副戎
J39nB447_p0412b20暌違台教,瞬目忽三季矣。雖杖扶煙水,懷曠雲山,而J39nB447_p0412b21於月夕風晨,莫不為之晤會。想東山叢林,時叨弘護,J39nB447_p0412b22事事自是如昔,老檀臺未必肯負靈山之偕囑者乎?J39nB447_p0412b23待律回太簇,花柳爭春,諒得旋省,拜賀新禧也。不悉。
與篤生傅邑宰
J39nB447_p0412b25丙春一別,彈指三周;罕遇鱗鴻,久疏音問。正慕間,忽J39nB447_p0412b26聞紫宸恩下,榮任閩中;想檀越大福德人,自是化被J39nB447_p0412b27大福德地。賀甚!賀甚!年來敝山叢林漸得彪炳,已成J39nB447_p0412b28大觀,悉仗檀越遠庇。今幸祖夫人入閩,特賦俚言一J39nB447_p0412b29律,書之扇頭,一則以候台禧、一則以攄積悃,希叱存J39nB447_p0412b30之!俟緣熟何地,此則一重公案耳。
與劉副戎
J39nB447_p0412c02世間富莫過於俗,林下窮莫過於僧。何則?富者,凡祝J39nB447_p0412c03人之華誕,不稱東海南山,便頌冰桃雪藕。今值大護J39nB447_p0412c04法華誕,而我林下窮僧,也無東海南山可稱,亦無冰J39nB447_p0412c05桃雪藕可頌,單以沒絃琴彈山水之清音,無孔笛吹J39nB447_p0412c06梅花之古調。雖然,第不識大護法還謂富俗是,還謂J39nB447_p0412c07窮僧是?為我道將一句來。此祝。
與陳守戎
J39nB447_p0412c09客歲詩餞扇頭,今年雁傳尺素,雖雲山幾層間隔,而J39nB447_p0412c10星月一樣圓明,正所謂野色何曾山隔斷,天光直與J39nB447_p0412c11水相連。然此消息,若非現將軍身、行菩薩道者,於此J39nB447_p0412c12孰能證之哉?今命維那祝我劉大護法千春,是以泐J39nB447_p0412c13函為慰。第不識何時握手,話千里同風之趣?不悉。
復易文學
J39nB447_p0412c15凡觀山,須觀無色相山,莫觀有色相山。何則?無色相J39nB447_p0412c16山,慧山也;有色相山,我山也。殊不知我山最高、最深、J39nB447_p0412c17最盛,出黑暗氣象,塞靈源,蔽心目,藏蓄識情惑業,發J39nB447_p0412c18育妄想無明;獨有慧山至清、至淨、至朗,出光明氣象,J39nB447_p0412c19貫九霄,通六合,藏蓄日月星辰,發育山川草木。若是J39nB447_p0412c20有血性男子,不注慧,不注我,向日用尋常之中,輕輕J39nB447_p0412c21舉足,將兩山一踏粉碎,然後掉過臂來,并不見其色J39nB447_p0412c22相有無、我慧間隔,始知百億世界、百億山河,盡在自J39nB447_p0412c23己筆尖頭上,又何須向外問高、問深、問盛、問氣象、問J39nB447_p0412c24藏蓄、問發育耶?先哲云:山河天眼裏,世界法身中。謹J39nB447_p0412c25復。
復于野黃居士
J39nB447_p0412c27昔覯芝眉,未談西意,竟不識足下個中脫略、筆底琳J39nB447_p0412c28琅,誠所謂當面錯過也。客歲捧讀瓊篇,心目雙豁,而J39nB447_p0412c29言言字字悉皆道岸香雲、禪天花雨,敬羨敬羨。來書J39nB447_p0412c30云:見山僧錄中,僧問:「如何是萬法歸一?」答曰:「雲散天J39nB447_p0413a01邊月。」僧曰:「一歸何處?」答曰:「春來樹上花。」似覺有箇入J39nB447_p0413a02處。殊不知者箇事上依言語不得、涉道理亦不得,只J39nB447_p0413a03貴當陽薦取、直下荷擔。足下既立志不群、心生好樂,J39nB447_p0413a04不妨於展卷揮毫、飛觴醉月,以至日用尋常一切事J39nB447_p0413a05上翻覆研窮、精細諦審,忽然掉過臂來、撥轉關去,始J39nB447_p0413a06知雲散天邊月、春來樹上花不我欺也。到者境界,不J39nB447_p0413a07獨萬法歸一、一歸何處透,則三千七百公案、一大藏J39nB447_p0413a08教典墳無不透矣。謹復。
