J39nB447_p0380c04康熙壬子二月初一,受威武守禦所美升趙護法暨J39nB447_p0380c05紳衿眾居士等請,就關聖祠結制上堂。師以杖指法J39nB447_p0380c06座云:「這個寶座隨處高登,昔年陞於鎮西,今日陞於J39nB447_p0380c07威武,致使龍象交參、人天圍繞。雖然如是,大眾還知J39nB447_p0380c08出處麼?若知出處,何妨攜手共陞?如其未知,山僧獨J39nB447_p0380c09坐去也。」拽拄杖遂陞。拈香祝J39nB447_p0380c10聖畢,次拈香云:「此瓣香自從說破,不敢囊藏,此是第J39nB447_p0380c11二回拈出,爇向爐中供養傳臨濟正宗第三十二世J39nB447_p0380c12先師靈隱文老和尚,用酬法乳之恩,伏願燈傳不盡J39nB447_p0380c13綿綿續,生度有緣處處逢。」斂衣敷座,維那白椎竟,師J39nB447_p0380c14云:「燭花光寶座,香霧噴人天,若是英靈客,何妨信手J39nB447_p0380c15拈?」顧左右云:「有麼?有麼?」問:「離四句、絕百非,意旨如何?」J39nB447_p0380c16師云:「遍界且無藏覓處。」進云:「恁麼則天上人間去也。」J39nB447_p0380c17師云:「分明一點座中圓。」問:「月到天心處,風來水面時,J39nB447_p0380c18一般清意味,料得少人知。和尚知不知?」師云:「不知。」進J39nB447_p0380c19云:「既是善知識,如何不知?」師云:「若知則不是善知識。」J39nB447_p0380c20問:「達磨未到東土時如何?」師云:「處處白雲橫谷口。」進J39nB447_p0380c21云:「到後如何?」師云:「家家紅杏出墻頭。」問:「如何是大死J39nB447_p0380c22的人?」師云:「七花八裂。」進云:「如何是大活的人?」師云:「八J39nB447_p0380c23裂七花。」進云:「死活拈過一邊,速道,速道。」師驀頭一棒,J39nB447_p0380c24云:「是死?是活?」進云:「蒼天,蒼天。」師云:「蒼天,蒼天。」進云:「二J39nB447_p0380c25俱若是,是何意旨?」師云:「一張沒絃琴,對枝無孔笛。」問:J39nB447_p0380c26「昨夜鼓玄風,鐵樹吐花紅。玄風即不問,花紅時如何?」J39nB447_p0380c27師云:「你的眼睛為甚被他換卻?」進云:「古人為何又道J39nB447_p0380c28見色明心?」師云:「莫謗他古人。」問:「學人以虛空為鼓,和J39nB447_p0380c29尚如何下椎?」師以拄杖當頭一擊,僧作聽勢,師云:「切J39nB447_p0380c30忌承虛接響。」問:「如何是清淨法身?」師云:「山光水色。」進J39nB447_p0381a01云:「如何是無生法忍?」師云:「鳥語溪聲。」進云:「如何是本J39nB447_p0381a02地風光?」師云:「穿衣喫飯。」乃云:「春色平鋪,法筵肇啟,香J39nB447_p0381a03雲鶴雲并布,花雨膏雨齊飛,萬象揚眉,森羅吐氣。所J39nB447_p0381a04以道:欲識佛性義,當觀時節因緣。正恁麼時,時節因J39nB447_p0381a05緣且置,作麼生是佛性義?」舉拂子,云:見麼?「見麼?這裏J39nB447_p0381a06見得,則山河國土、草木昆蟲悉現清淨法身也。」擊香J39nB447_p0381a07案,云:「聞麼?聞麼?這裏聞得,則風動水流、猿啼鶴唳悉J39nB447_p0381a08說無生法忍也。」按下拂子,云:「會麼?會麼?這裏會得,則J39nB447_p0381a09拈香撥火、待客迎賓悉露本地風光也。到這境界,則J39nB447_p0381a10虛空為鼓、鐵樹花開,以至大活大死、已到未到,料得J39nB447_p0381a11少人知、絕百非、離四句的無不米釋,可謂一明一切J39nB447_p0381a12明、一透一切透。」召大眾,云:「山僧恁麼漏逗,眾中莫有J39nB447_p0381a13同見、同聞、同會者麼?若有,不妨同歌白雪、共唱陽春;J39nB447_p0381a14如無,山僧自歌自唱去也。」以拂子擊香案一下。復舉:J39nB447_p0381a15「圓通和尚開堂,云:『圓通不開生藥舖,單單只賣死貓J39nB447_p0381a16頭,不知那個無思算,喫著通身冷汗流。』」師云:「圓通老J39nB447_p0381a17漢雖是家風迥別、手眼超群,檢點將來不免腥臊遍J39nB447_p0381a18地。今日山僧也無生藥舖開,亦無死貓頭賣。」舉拂子,J39nB447_p0381a19云:「單憑這個,放大寶光、破諸幽暗,要令十方三世、九J39nB447_p0381a20類四生,同開金剛正眼、共契涅槃妙心。雖然,未審與J39nB447_p0381a21圓通是同?是別?雲向嶺頭拖雨去,鳥從花裏帶香來。」J39nB447_p0381a22維那結椎,云:「諦觀法王法,法王法如是。」下座。
J39nB447_p0381a23李越生護法請上堂。問:「風吹柳絮毛毬走,雨打梨花J39nB447_p0381a24蛺蝶飛時如何?」師云:「腳跟下好與三十棒。」問:「如何是J39nB447_p0381a25清寥寥、曰的的的?」師云:「高著眼。」進云:「如何是孤迥迥、J39nB447_p0381a26峭巍巍的?」師云:「高著眼。」進云:「恁麼則一箭兩垛去也。」J39nB447_p0381a27師云:「闍黎傍觀有分。」問:「和尚辨才如此,未審昔日從J39nB447_p0381a28甚麼處來?」師云:「阿鼻地獄裏。」進云:「他日又向甚麼處J39nB447_p0381a29去?」師云:「阿鼻地獄裏。」進云:「既為人天師,因甚來去不J39nB447_p0381a30離地獄?」師云:「此是山僧受用之所。」進云:「一切人還受J39nB447_p0381b01用得否?」師云:「得即得,猶恐承當不下。」問:「如何是第一J39nB447_p0381b02玄?」師云:「明月與清風論道。」進云:「如何是第二玄?」師云:J39nB447_p0381b03「溪聲共山色談禪。」進云:「如何是第三玄?」師云:「木人與J39nB447_p0381b04石女來往。」進云:「如何是第一要?」師云:「饑則進食。」進云:J39nB447_p0381b05「如何是第二要?」師云:「寒則向火。」進云:「如何是第三要?」J39nB447_p0381b06師云:「困則睡覺。」進云:「三玄三要如斯指,覿面一句若J39nB447_p0381b07為論?」師云:「還我三玄三要來即向汝道。」問:「古人道:『門J39nB447_p0381b08外春將半,山房總不知,可憐拄杖子,暗裏自抽枝。』如J39nB447_p0381b09何是拄杖抽的枝?」師云:「雨洗淡紅桃萼嫩,風搖淺碧J39nB447_p0381b10柳絲輕。」問:「如何是威武境?」師云:「一溪綠水淘明月,幾J39nB447_p0381b11個青山鎖白雲?」進云:「如何是境中人?」師云:「手握敲風J39nB447_p0381b12杖,身披無上衣。」進云:「無境無人時如何?」師便打。問:「是J39nB447_p0381b13水皆涵月,無山不帶雲。秪如水竭山崩,雲月歸於何J39nB447_p0381b14處?」師驀頭一棒,云:「在這裏。」進云:「恁麼則山雲水月不J39nB447_p0381b15離和尚棒下。」師云:「知音不必重拈出。」問:「風從花裏香J39nB447_p0381b16來,水向石邊流出,是禪否?」師云:「眼裏著沙不得。」進云:J39nB447_p0381b17「泥牛吼月,木馬嘶屬,是道否?」師云:「耳裏著水不得。」問:J39nB447_p0381b18「與諸佛為侶者是甚麼人?」師云:「個裏人。」進云:「個裏還J39nB447_p0381b19許壁立萬仞否?」師云:「非但壁立萬仞,從教萬仞壁立。」J39nB447_p0381b20乃云:「問似雲興,答如瓶瀉且置,阿那個是你諸人自J39nB447_p0381b21己?」眾無對。師復云:「這一段事只要個中穩密,自然左J39nB447_p0381b22右逢原。適纔這僧問:『與諸佛為侶者是甚麼人?』山僧J39nB447_p0381b23向道:『個裏人。』諸昆仲!且道此人具何手眼堪與諸佛J39nB447_p0381b24為侶?倘若會得,便會風吹柳絮、雨打梨花,清寥寥、白J39nB447_p0381b25的的,孤迥迥、峭巍巍,以至甚處來、甚處去,三玄三要、J39nB447_p0381b26柱杖抽枝,威武境、境中人,水乾月歸處、山崩雲去時,J39nB447_p0381b27風從花裏香來、水向石邊流出,泥牛吼月、木馬嘶風,J39nB447_p0381b28法法頭頭無不是你諸人自己。還委悉麼?」卓拄杖,下J39nB447_p0381b29座。
J39nB447_p0381b30譚繼芳請上堂。「歷歷和風生上苑,悠悠鳥語囀喬林,J39nB447_p0381c01欲知個裏真消息,試聽風聲與鳥聲。」以杖擊法座,云:J39nB447_p0381c02「還識此聲麼?靈山拈花亦此聲,少室安心亦此聲,打J39nB447_p0381c03車打牛亦此聲,踢倒淨瓶亦此聲,以至捲簾搖扇、擊J39nB447_p0381c04竹觀桃、搖鈴舞笏、輥毬張弓無非此聲。還委悉麼?頻J39nB447_p0381c05呼小玉原無事,只要檀郎認得聲。」又以杖擊座一下,J39nB447_p0381c06下座。
J39nB447_p0381c07大悲菩薩誕日,上堂。問:「天下同此日,大地曇花現,花J39nB447_p0381c08現即不問,同的事如何?」師云:「吸露千般草,吟風一樣J39nB447_p0381c09松。」問:「大悲千隻手,那隻是正手?」師云:「楊柳枝枝綠。」進J39nB447_p0381c10云:「大悲千隻眼,那隻是正眼?」師云:「桃花朵朵紅。」進云:J39nB447_p0381c11「千手千眼蒙師示,頌祝一句是如何?」師云:「兩班龍象J39nB447_p0381c12堂前立,一瓣心香信手焚。」乃云:「山際花含露,枝頭鳥J39nB447_p0381c13弄音,良哉觀自在,此日示全身。垂一手,八萬四千母J39nB447_p0381c14陀羅手俱備;舒一目,八萬四千清淨寶目皆然。所以J39nB447_p0381c15無剎不現,無處不真,隨機應感,利濟群生,求饒益而J39nB447_p0381c16饒益大,求福慧而福慧深。大眾!大悲方便之力理合J39nB447_p0381c17如是,的當之處又且如何?」擊拂子,云:「還聞麼?」便下座。
J39nB447_p0381c18本師靈隱老人忌日拈香。師拈起香云:「這老和尚生J39nB447_p0381c19平的把柄盡在不肖兒手裏,今日要他上天堂也在J39nB447_p0381c20不肖兒,要他下地獄也在不肖兒。既然,且道老和尚J39nB447_p0381c21的把柄在甚麼處?」遂插香云:「見麼?」
J39nB447_p0381c22朱世傑請上堂。問:「昨日杲日麗天,今朝瑞雪鋪地,還J39nB447_p0381c23是神通耶?妙用耶?」師云:「任爾卜度。」僧佇思,師震威一J39nB447_p0381c24喝,乃云:「昨日杲日麗天,今朝瑞雪鋪地,分明揭示無J39nB447_p0381c25私,要且不容擬議。還有不擬議者麼?」顧視左右,下座。
J39nB447_p0381c26孔自還、楊嘉旺、林自奇請上堂。「無明即佛性,玉出頑J39nB447_p0381c27石之中;煩惱即菩提,蓮開淤泥之內。大眾當知:麵在J39nB447_p0381c28麥裏,米在榖中。會麼?河裏失錢河裏摝。」
J39nB447_p0381c29李長庚請上堂。問:「如何是佛?」師云:「破糞箕。」乃云:「這裏J39nB447_p0381c30撥得一線路去,始知雲門乾屎橛,些子不瞞;洞山麻J39nB447_p0382a01三斤,纖毫無隱。到這裏,則煙雲竹樹莫不皆心,水鳥J39nB447_p0382a02山花無不是佛,說甚麼三十二相、八十種好?不見道:J39nB447_p0382a03溪聲盡是廣長舌,山色無非清淨身。」
J39nB447_p0382a04上堂。「未上堂時,誰當辯的?既上堂後,孰是知音?」良久,J39nB447_p0382a05云:「不免舟橫緣水,棹舉清波,歌唐堯年,唱清平樂。何J39nB447_p0382a06故?可惜連城璧,徒勞獻楚君。」
J39nB447_p0382a07寶山皈一請上堂。拈拄杖卓一下,云:「木上座為汝諸J39nB447_p0382a08人轉大法輪了也,還會麼?倘若會得便會,沒絃琴裏J39nB447_p0382a09落梅花,無根樹上巢靈鵲,木人撫掌,石女烹茶;如其J39nB447_p0382a10未會,再煩木上座饒舌一上。」復卓拄杖一下。
J39nB447_p0382a11定初監院請上堂。「一溪綠柳如煙,幾樹梨花似雪,誰J39nB447_p0382a12謂寂爾無聲,晝夜熾然常說。正恁麼時,寂爾無聲的J39nB447_p0382a13拈過一邊,熾然常說的如何話會?依稀似曲纔堪聽,J39nB447_p0382a14又被風吹別調中。」
J39nB447_p0382a15美升趙護法為母蔡宜人延生,請上堂。問:「趙護法重J39nB447_p0382a16重供養,且道得個甚麼?」師云:「得個億劫長存的。」進云:J39nB447_p0382a17「若論這個,人人本有。」師云:「也須山僧說破。」問:「深重之J39nB447_p0382a18恩莫過於母,未審將何報答?」師卓杖,云:「拈出無私一J39nB447_p0382a19句子,從教何處不相酬?」進云:「如此則不獨報母深恩,J39nB447_p0382a20四恩俱巴力盡。」師云:「幸得闍黎證明。」乃云:「今日乃美J39nB447_p0382a21升趙護法尊堂蔡宜人誕日,來此選佛場中營齋供J39nB447_p0382a22眾,敦請山僧陞座說法,頌祝尊堂大壽,山僧愧於舌J39nB447_p0382a23短,無法可說。」豎拂子,云:「只將這個對眾拈出,你諸人J39nB447_p0382a24若向這裏著得一隻眼,便知他尊堂的壽量大地莫J39nB447_p0382a25能比、虛空莫能喻,到這裏非但報現在慈親,則過去J39nB447_p0382a26七代先靈無不報答。還委悉麼?這般壽量如能會,是J39nB447_p0382a27則名為報母恩。」
J39nB447_p0382a28浴佛,上堂。「指天指地是今朝,天下同將惡水澆,澆得J39nB447_p0382a29瞿曇無走處,藏身芥裏自叨叨。大眾!且道他說個什J39nB447_p0382a30麼?他道:『自從降蹟閻浮世,水厄年年被一遭。』」
J39nB447_p0382b01解制,美升趙護法請上堂。問:「如何是佛事周圓句?」師J39nB447_p0382b02云:「摘下金鐘玉板。」進云:「如何是途中行腳句?」師云:「煩J39nB447_p0382b03他竹杖芒鞋。」進云:「他日相逢又作麼生理會?」師云:「再J39nB447_p0382b04理舊詞連韻唱。」乃云:「拽斷黃金鎖鑰,打翻白玉欄杆,J39nB447_p0382b05放出一群獅子,吼遍綠水青山。」震威一喝,下座。
J39nB447_p0382b06康熙壬子九月初一日,住安籠華光寺,休生監院請J39nB447_p0382b07傳戒,上堂。問:「如何是安籠境?」師云:「玉泉寺對海潮寺,J39nB447_p0382b08天榜山連萬壽山。」進云:「如何是境中人?」師云:「晨敲清J39nB447_p0382b09磬,暮擊疏鐘。」進云:「人境蒙師示,清淨比丘如何不上J39nB447_p0382b10天堂?」師云:「道破了也。」進云:「破戒比丘如何不入地獄?」J39nB447_p0382b11師云:「道破了也。」乃云:「未到安籠,扶笻頂笠,涉水登山,J39nB447_p0382b12如雲如鶴;已到安籠,拈椎豎拂,說妙談玄,如象如龍。J39nB447_p0382b13雖然,且道行腳與駐錫是同?是別?若道同,又有行腳、J39nB447_p0382b14駐錫之分;若道別,又有殊途一致之謂。諸子還分疏J39nB447_p0382b15得麼?若分疏得,不惟登其戒品,要且定慧雙融,說甚J39nB447_p0382b16麼清淨比丘不上天堂、破戒比丘不入地獄?脫或未J39nB447_p0382b17能,只得落草盤桓去也。」遂傳戒,畢,下座。
J39nB447_p0382b18郭維政、曾繼芳、郭登芳、沈代明請上堂。問:「如何是不J39nB447_p0382b19二門?」師云:「四生同出入。」進云:「如何是一真界?」師云:「六J39nB447_p0382b20道共安居。」進云:「如何是自在心?」師云:「孤雲野鶴。」進云:J39nB447_p0382b21「如何是空花相?」師云:「暮雨朝煙。」乃云:「前日上堂轉法J39nB447_p0382b22輪,今朝陞座法輪轉,顛拈倒弄為諸人,總要諸人開J39nB447_p0382b23正眼。如是,則丹崖翠嶂悉皆不二之門,鬧市紅塵無J39nB447_p0382b24非一真之界,說甚麼自在心、空花相?還委悉麼?瘦藤J39nB447_p0382b25扶上孤峰頂,那個遊人眼不寬?」
J39nB447_p0382b26周用明、楊世文、謝國芳、曾遣意請上堂。問:「如何是死J39nB447_p0382b27句?」師云:「石頭。」進云:「如何是活句?」師云:「石上生苔。」進云:J39nB447_p0382b28「死活且置,如何是十無話?」師云:「從頭問將來。」進云:「如J39nB447_p0382b29何是無底船?」師云:「橫撐綠水,順泊蘆花。」進云:「如何是J39nB447_p0382b30無底缽?」師云:「滿盛香飯濟人天。」進云:「如何是無底籃?」J39nB447_p0382c01師云:「攜從碧嶺去,滿載山花來。」進云:「如何是無根樹?」J39nB447_p0382c02師云:「葉森森地。」進云:「如何是無孔鎚?」師云:「拈起則虛J39nB447_p0382c03空粉碎,放下則大地平沉。」進云:「如何是無孔笛?」師云:J39nB447_p0382c04「吹來句句落梅花。」進云:「如何是無縫塔?」師云:「滿載黃J39nB447_p0382c05金骨,彌封青蘚痕。」進云:「如何是無鬚鎖?」師云:「鎖斷要J39nB447_p0382c06津,不容走作。」進云:「如何是無絃琴?」師云:「高山流水韻J39nB447_p0382c07悠悠。」師云:「如何是無星秤?」師云:「輕重瞞他不得。」進云:J39nB447_p0382c08「十無蒙指點,如何是祖祖傳不盡的?」師云:「還我十無J39nB447_p0382c09話來即向汝道。」僧擬議,師便打。問:「如何是禪?」師云:「爐J39nB447_p0382c10內烹茶月落泉。」進云:「如何是戒?」師云:「松頭挂錫雲生J39nB447_p0382c11樹。」乃云:「梵鐘扣處高低應,法鼓鳴時上下聞。這裏若J39nB447_p0382c12能親透脫,何須欲我話無生?」擊拂子,云:「還聞麼?若也J39nB447_p0382c13聞得,始知死句也在裏許、活句也在裏許,甚至十無J39nB447_p0382c14禪戒總在裏許。正恁麼時,殊途一致的句作麼生道?J39nB447_p0382c15千峰勢到嶽邊止,萬派聲歸海上消。」
J39nB447_p0382c16臘八,雷應富請上堂。問:「嶺上梅花笑,爐中香氣紛,如J39nB447_p0382c17何是第一義?」師云:「未上堂時已道破。」進云:「明星朝北J39nB447_p0382c18拱,綠冰向東流,如何是如來成道句?」師云:「踏著秤鎚J39nB447_p0382c19是鐵團。」進云:「檀那傾心設供,大眾恭敬圍繞,和尚如J39nB447_p0382c20何指示?」師云:「兔角杖挑潭底月,龜毛繩繫樹頭風。」乃J39nB447_p0382c21云:「一點明星照四維,十方國土悉同窺,慚他黃面瞿J39nB447_p0382c22曇老,打失蒼蒼兩道眉。大眾!那裏是他打失處?」良久,J39nB447_p0382c23云:「個中有話無人說,付與金雞午夜啼。」
J39nB447_p0382c24康熙癸丑,住雲南廣西府玉皇閣。佛成道日,陳壯猷、J39nB447_p0382c25龍應秀、芶國用、王振乾、張騰芳、楊舜昌、朱色艷、呂岐J39nB447_p0382c26鳳等請上堂。「去歲今朝安籠說法,今年此日瀘西上J39nB447_p0382c27堂,可謂遇緣即宗,隨處作主。」舉拂子,云:「且道是安籠J39nB447_p0382c28的?瀘西的?於此緇素得出,則他方此土無殊,去歲今J39nB447_p0382c29年不別。脫或未能,聽取一頌:一年一度慶斯辰,雪壓J39nB447_p0382c30嶺▆香自紛。」以拂子向空點,云:「會得明星高照處,這J39nB447_p0383a01邊那畔復何分?」
J39nB447_p0383a02為母歸元尼三週,上堂。問:「前日上堂慶佛,今日上堂J39nB447_p0383a03薦母,且道前日的是?今日的是?」師云:「一粒瓜子兩瓣J39nB447_p0383a04殼。」進云:「如此則忠孝全歸和尚。」師云:「又恁麼去也。」乃J39nB447_p0383a05云:「瞿曇為母升忉利,羅卜尋娘詣獄門,獨有梅溪分J39nB447_p0383a06外別,華王座上薦慈親。喝轟處,地獄天堂打成一片;J39nB447_p0383a07棒落處,無明佛性坐斷兩頭。雖然,且道我母即今在J39nB447_p0383a08甚麼處?」遂拈香,云:「也甚奇怪,適纔拈一瓣返魂香,引J39nB447_p0383a09得我舟在山僧拄杖頭上現三十二種妙相,諸人見J39nB447_p0383a10麼?」擊香案,云:「又道諸行無常是生滅法,聞麼?這裏見J39nB447_p0383a11得分明、聞得的當,則人人圓秋本體非在別處,個個J39nB447_p0383a12無字真經不越其中,天堂地獄匪差殊,佛性無明豈J39nB447_p0383a13間隔?正恁麼時,當下解脫一句作麼生道?」卓拄杖,云:J39nB447_p0383a14「喝似雷聲轟劈面,棒如雨點擊當頭,我慈是日承茲J39nB447_p0383a15力,脫體風光任自由。」
J39nB447_p0383a16本師靈隱老人忌日拈香。「屏山似畫,瀘水如藍,無別J39nB447_p0383a17為供,信手憑拈。」插香便拜。
J39nB447_p0383a18住雲南蒙化府等覺寺。師誕日,了然僧綱請上堂。問:J39nB447_p0383a19「法身等虛空,本無生滅,和尚如何有生?」師云:「秪因生J39nB447_p0383a20滅不相干,故現光明於此日。」進云:「現後如何?」師云:「青J39nB447_p0383a21山照舊,綠水依然。」進云:「無山無水時如何?」師震威一J39nB447_p0383a22喝,僧亦喝,師云:「爾我俱喝,賓主在甚麼處?」僧轉身打J39nB447_p0383a23一圓相,師云:「腳跟下好與三十棒。」問:「如何是一體大J39nB447_p0383a24道?」師云:「庭前兩樹柏,座上一瓶花。」問:「昔日世尊降誕,J39nB447_p0383a25手指兩儀,足行七步,云:『天上天下,惟我獨尊。』今朝和J39nB447_p0383a26尚生辰,露何手眼?」師云:「拄杖七尺長。」月朗問:「和尚生J39nB447_p0383a27辰即不問,且道受性者誰?」師云:「堂堂一個月朗。」進云:J39nB447_p0383a28「悟性者誰?」師云:「堂堂一個月朗。」乃豎拂子,云:「自得先J39nB447_p0383a29師斷拂子,魔宮虎穴恁麼舉,只知隨處利群生,不覺J39nB447_p0383a30今年四十矣。秪見蒼松稽首,白石和南,溪撫伯牙之J39nB447_p0383b01琴,山展僧繇之畫,無生曲庭前鳥唱,不老詞簾外風J39nB447_p0383b02宣。雖然,怎奈露柱未肯相許。何故?他道:『仁者!無生無J39nB447_p0383b03滅,非減非增,同於金剛,常住不朽。如何還有這個在?』J39nB447_p0383b04時燈籠聞如是說,向前驀豎一指,曰:『且道是生滅耶?J39nB447_p0383b05非生滅耶?增減耶?非增減耶?試道看。倘若道得,許爾J39nB447_p0383b06啟如是口,演如是義。不然,如人說食,終不濟饑。』與論J39nB447_p0383b07至此,忽被個傍不肯的一喝喝散,惟見香騰寶篆,蠟J39nB447_p0383b08吐優曇,龍象繞法座之前,鐘鼓震雲天之上。正恁麼J39nB447_p0383b09時,且不涉增減,是非得失的句如何舉似?雙塔如峰J39nB447_p0383b10排檻外,清泉似帶遶門前。」
J39nB447_p0383b11本師靈隱老人忌日拈香。師詣案拈香,展禮竟,召大J39nB447_p0383b12眾云:「年年此日爇栴檀,歲歲今朝展布單,引得燈籠J39nB447_p0383b13并露柱,一齊撫掌笑喧天。且道他笑個甚麼?笑山僧J39nB447_p0383b14世相不忘。」
J39nB447_p0383b15佛誕,灼然尼請上堂。問:「龍象雲臻即不問,世僧降誕J39nB447_p0383b16事如何?」師云:「特地始稱尊。」進云:「秪如雲門道:『我當時J39nB447_p0383b17若見,一棒打殺與狗子喫,貴圖天下太平。』還有過也J39nB447_p0383b18無?」師拈拄杖云:「這是甚麼所在,容你覓過?」乃云:「庭前J39nB447_p0383b19蒼樹啼幽鳥,郭外青山捲翠雲,一枕薰風眠未已,諸J39nB447_p0383b20僧請慶釋迦文。雖然,秪如這僧問:『當時雲門欲一棒J39nB447_p0383b21打殺與狗子喫,貴國天下太平。還有過也無?』山僧向J39nB447_p0383b22道:『這是甚麼所在,容你覓過?』諸人還委悉麼?若能委J39nB447_p0383b23悉,則山僧未上堂時已慶了也,烏用撾鼓椎鐘、搖唇J39nB447_p0383b24鼓如而謂之慶耶?如其未能,帶累釋迦老子年年於J39nB447_p0383b25此日惡水驀頭淋。」
J39nB447_p0383b26康熙丙辰歲,受雲州張太守洎檀越居士、諸山禪德J39nB447_p0383b27請,住玉閣禪院。
J39nB447_p0383b28三門。「百雉連雲橫戶外,千峰積翠擁門前。諸人看取J39nB447_p0383b29腳跟下,莫錯臨機一著先。」拽拄杖便進。
J39nB447_p0383b30大殿。「馬牛憑我應,仙佛任他成。但得空諸相,何須立J39nB447_p0383c01假名。還有空得者麼?如無,不免將錯就錯。」展具便拜。J39nB447_p0383c02方丈。「這個所在,諸佛於此轉法輪,列祖於此傳心印。J39nB447_p0383c03山僧今日到來又作麼生施設?棒似三春雨,喝如五J39nB447_p0383c04夜雷。」卓拄杖,喝一喝。
J39nB447_p0383c05結制,太守張護法設齋,請上堂。指法座,云:「千華砌就,J39nB447_p0383c06百寶堆成,佛佛共坐,祖祖咸陞。今日現於一毫端上,J39nB447_p0383c07還有與山僧同登者麼?」良久,云:「舉頭天外看,誰是我J39nB447_p0383c08般人?」卓拄杖,遂陞。拈香祝J39nB447_p0383c09聖畢,再拈,云:「這瓣香,棒頭花劈,喝下圓成,昔年馥郁J39nB447_p0383c10黔山,今日澄清昆水。此是第三回拈出,爇向爐中,供J39nB447_p0383c11養傳臨濟正宗第三十二世先師靈隱文老和尚,用J39nB447_p0383c12酬法乳之恩。伏願直指佛祖根源,永作人天眼目。」斂J39nB447_p0383c13衣敷座。維那白椎竟,師云:「若論第一義諦,未陞座時J39nB447_p0383c14松聲竹籟已道了也,更要畫蛇添足作麼?於中倘有J39nB447_p0383c15未會者,出眾相見。」問:「孤將入雲陽即不問,忽遇百萬J39nB447_p0383c16雄兵到來,如何抵敵?」師豎拄杖,云:「單憑一柄吹毛劍。」J39nB447_p0383c17僧退後,師云:「草賊大敗。」問:「如何是西來大意?」師云:「幾J39nB447_p0383c18片閒雲飛嶺上。」進云:「如何是涅槃妙心?」師云:「一輪杲J39nB447_p0383c19日挂天邊。」問:「如來成道二千餘年,和尚成道多少年J39nB447_p0383c20也?」師云:「忘卻了。」問:「四大五蘊本自空寂,主人公在甚J39nB447_p0383c21麼處安身立命?」師卓拄杖一下。進云:「可謂不涉語言J39nB447_p0383c22最親切。」師云:「切忌錯下註腳。」問:「生從何來?」師云:「沒蹤J39nB447_p0383c23跡處。」進云:「死從何去?」師云:「沒蹤跡處。」進云:「蹤跡既無,J39nB447_p0383c24甚處住腳?」師云:「沒蹤跡處。」問:「和尚婆心處處,且道為J39nB447_p0383c25個甚麼?」師豎拂子,云:「為要交代這個。」問:「選佛場開,以J39nB447_p0383c26何垂示?」師云:「痛棒爇喝。」進云:「恁麼則祖道重興,宗風J39nB447_p0383c27再振去也。」師云:「有勞讚頌。」乃云:「也大奇,也大奇,將謂J39nB447_p0383c28拂衣徑過,豈知留錫於茲?選佛場一期結就,龍象眾J39nB447_p0383c29兩序整齊,金鐘扣處靉靆香雲布座,玉板鳴時繽紛J39nB447_p0383c30花雨飄墀,可謂法不孤起,仗境而立,道無方所,隨寓J39nB447_p0384a01即施。」驀豎拄杖,云:「會麼?這裏會得,始知此個消息,如J39nB447_p0384a02風之在竹、月之在池,不容話會,秪許自知。大覺仙厚J39nB447_p0384a03著面皮,假一花而拈示;老迦葉萬沒奈何,破雙眉而J39nB447_p0384a04笑嬉。是以,冤流六十九,遞序到山緇,山緇無別有,單J39nB447_p0384a05憑杖一枝,魔宮倒挈、虎穴顛提,劈聖解於頃刻、破凡J39nB447_p0384a06情於片時,致令青山撫掌、綠水揚眉,泥牛踏月吼、木J39nB447_p0384a07馬驟風嘶,三世能仁憑斯契證,歷代開士即此傳持。J39nB447_p0384a08正恁麼時,古今同化一句作麼生道?歲歲梅花和雪J39nB447_p0384a09綻,年年楊柳帶春垂。」結椎,下座。
J39nB447_p0384a10默契監院請開示,上堂。「道人胡不耐清閒,撥草瞻風J39nB447_p0384a11入市寰,秪為祖庭多寂寞,故呼明月守柴關。山僧雖J39nB447_p0384a12則志耽泉石、骨老松雲,而於接物利生之心尚未冷J39nB447_p0384a13湫湫地,是以策七尺笻,量不盡之青山;著一緉履,涉J39nB447_p0384a14無窮之綠水。或避風雨於樹下、或挂蒲團於旅亭,遵J39nB447_p0384a15先賢之直指,慨此日之荒涼。然道假人弘,非人何以J39nB447_p0384a16揚化?琴借指押,無指豈能發音?是知究竟在人而不J39nB447_p0384a17在法。今承默契大德懇請陞堂,說無生忍,然而無生J39nB447_p0384a18法忍本自歷然,毫無隱覆,且又榴開庭際、燕語簷前,J39nB447_p0384a19枇杷園裏低垂、梅子枝頭盡熟,重重揭示、一一敷陳,J39nB447_p0384a20何待山僧搖唇鼓舌而後謂之佛法耶?於此會得,始J39nB447_p0384a21知佛法在一切處,一切處即是佛法。」顧左右,云:「山僧J39nB447_p0384a22與麼漏逗,也是第一等不著便的。若是靈利衲僧,一J39nB447_p0384a23場好笑。何故?長安風月貫今昔,那個男兒摸壁行?」卓J39nB447_p0384a24拄杖,下座。
J39nB447_p0384a25楊勳、楊雲章、楊淮、葉勝祖請上堂。「前日上堂,語言直J39nB447_p0384a26示;今朝陞座,棒喝交馳。引得薰風生席,梅雨飄簾,當J39nB447_p0384a27窗樹色蒙蒙而映,襲衲蓮香冉冉而來。雖然,未審諸J39nB447_p0384a28人正法眼明否?若也明得,始知妙道目前觀,真宗耳J39nB447_p0384a29底透。所以長慶七蒲坐破,卻在捲簾處發明;香巖五J39nB447_p0384a30載白巖,而於擊竹時打徹。是知從上先德,不離見色J39nB447_p0384b01明心,聞聲悟性。」召大眾云:「這般說話,大似守株待兔,J39nB447_p0384b02求劍刻舟。何故?有聲有色如斯會,無色無聲愁殺人。」
J39nB447_p0384b03上堂,舉:「老宿云:『結制得數日也,水牯牛作麼生?』一老J39nB447_p0384b04宿云:『結制得數日也,衣線事作麼生?』一老宿云:『作麼J39nB447_p0384b05生?作麼生?』」師云:「三負老宿恁麼作略,也是烏焉成馬?J39nB447_p0384b06大眾!山僧結制得數日,也不問水牯牛,也不問衣線J39nB447_p0384b07事,也不問作麼生?只要諸人饑來飽餐,困來熟睡。」召J39nB447_p0384b08大眾云:「還有這般漢麼?若有,出來打禾山鼓,唱清平J39nB447_p0384b09樂;如無,莫將無事為無事,往往事從無事生。」
J39nB447_p0384b10張聖質秀才請上堂。「山僧連日把堂陞,單以杖頭而J39nB447_p0384b11接引,惟有今朝不恁麼,只教薦取吾無隱。」豎拂子,云:J39nB447_p0384b12「會麼?即今蘭膏焰炯,柏子香清,幾般花綻庭前,一色J39nB447_p0384b13草青階下,頭頭不別,處處匪殊,只要諸人盡底荷擔,J39nB447_p0384b14勿留些子。」顧左右,云:「還有荷擔者麼?若有,不負聖質J39nB447_p0384b15秀才生希有心、梅溪長老出廣長舌;如無,未免葛藤J39nB447_p0384b16一上。」復舉:「黃山谷問黃龍禪師:『如何是吾無隱乎爾?』J39nB447_p0384b17龍云:『公問木犀花香麼?』谷云:『聞。』龍云:『吾無隱乎爾。』谷J39nB447_p0384b18乃大悟。」師召大眾,云:「黃龍當時一言,山谷便乃悟去。J39nB447_p0384b19山僧今日與麼,諸人因甚不會?分明月在梅花上,看J39nB447_p0384b20到梅花早已遲。」
J39nB447_p0384b21陳大廷請上堂。「為訪吾門最上乘,幾回冒雨到雲城,J39nB447_p0384b22今朝陞座無餘示,仍指中庸一點誠。從上諸儒莫不J39nB447_p0384b23以此一誠而入、裴相國以此一誠而了心黃檗,白居J39nB447_p0384b24易以此一誠而請益鳥窠,韓昌黎以此一誠而參禮J39nB447_p0384b25大顛,張無盡以此一誠而發明兜率,從上諸儒既以J39nB447_p0384b26此誠而入道,今日山僧亦以此誠而說法。只此如是J39nB447_p0384b27之法,奉為陳大廷并法筵清眾,伏願正心誠意之旨J39nB447_p0384b28直下圓通,了生脫死之方當陽透脫。正與麼時,薦取J39nB447_p0384b29一句作麼生道?但得不欺於個裏,自然在處合中庸。」
J39nB447_p0384b30上堂。舉:「僧問雲門:『如何是超佛越祖之談?』門云:『胡餅。』」J39nB447_p0384c01師云:「今日有問:『如何是超佛越祖之談?』便擊禪床,云:J39nB447_p0384c02『諦聽。』大眾!且道雲門的是?山僧的是?這裏定當得出,J39nB447_p0384c03則雲門不先、山僧不後;倘或未能,聽取頌出:胡餅拈J39nB447_p0384c04時超佛祖,禪床擊處震虛空;秋來金菊含霜冷,春到J39nB447_p0384c05桃花吸露紅。」
J39nB447_p0384c06戴居易秀才乞受三皈,請上堂。「不負靈山記莂來,幾J39nB447_p0384c07曾參禮法王臺,而今欲返圓明本,自性三皈為指開。J39nB447_p0384c08何謂自心佛?即此靈然獨耀,亙古恒輝,無差無別,非J39nB447_p0384c09修非證者是。何謂自心法?既了本心之佛,則逢緣不J39nB447_p0384c10惑,觸境露機,事事圓常,頭頭如理者是。何謂自心僧?J39nB447_p0384c11既證自心之法,則濟物應緣,如水中月,清清湛湛,不J39nB447_p0384c12染一塵者是。此乃自心之三寶也。諸佛得此心,故曰J39nB447_p0384c13能仁;諸法詮此心,故曰秘典;眾生了此心,故曰力生。J39nB447_p0384c14而過去諸佛、法、僧,自心三寶已證,汝今翹勤合十,向J39nB447_p0384c15我傾誠,自心三寶現證。倘能奉持此教,誨示後人,明J39nB447_p0384c16其此心,自心三寶未來同證,是知此心包太虛、羅國J39nB447_p0384c17土,可謂眾生即佛、佛即眾生,不曾差別一毫。以此心J39nB447_p0384c18而悟佛,何佛不悟?以此心而詮法,何法不詮?以此心J39nB447_p0384c19而了僧,何僧不了?知此心不在內、外、中間,則罪性本J39nB447_p0384c20自空寂;知此心清虛靈妙、活卓圓明,則拈香、撥火、喫J39nB447_p0384c21飯、穿衣,一一無非佛事;知此心在在不隔、處處皆真,J39nB447_p0384c22則西方即在目前,以之雪罪而罪雪、以之率道而道J39nB447_p0384c23成。能如是,則悟佛無佛可悟、詮法無法可詮、了僧無J39nB447_p0384c24僧可了。」拈拂子,云:「山僧揭示如斯,汝能透脫也未?若J39nB447_p0384c25能透脫,則汝未跨門時,自性三皈已受;山僧未上堂J39nB447_p0384c26時,自性三皈已說。倘或不爾,未免頭上安頭。」遂唱三J39nB447_p0384c27皈,下座。
J39nB447_p0384c28披剃,上堂。「圓頂當陽露,雲衣直下披,廓然三際斷,何J39nB447_p0384c29處不光輝?」
J39nB447_p0384c30解制,上堂。「四月十六結卻布袋口,大家在裏許磨褌J39nB447_p0385a01嚓褲、苦骨勞筋;七月十六解開布袋口,大家出外邊J39nB447_p0385a02擔囊負缽、涉水登山。雖然,秪如不結不解之時,你諸J39nB447_p0385a03人在甚處住腳?若知住腳所在,則三千世界總一道J39nB447_p0385a04場、百億河山皆一佛剎,有情、無情是中出入,真諦、俗J39nB447_p0385a05諦此內交參,何須九旬白足、三月調心?正眼觀來,卻J39nB447_p0385a06是畫地為牢、無繩自縛。正當恁麼時,本分說話且置,J39nB447_p0385a07臨行慶賞一句作麼生道?竹杖肩頭橫皎月,芒鞋足J39nB447_p0385a08底踏秋雲。」
J39nB447_p0385a09師誕日,眾居士請上堂。「去歲今朝,等覺寺中雲水聚;J39nB447_p0385a10今年此日,玉閣堂前龍象臻。梵鐘嚮天上人間,法鼓J39nB447_p0385a11聞他方此界。是則是,怎奈山僧無所從來?既無所來,J39nB447_p0385a12即今在座說法的是誰?於此倜儻分明,不妨共飲曹J39nB447_p0385a13溪水,同餐栗棘蓬。如其未能,髮從今日曰,花是去年J39nB447_p0385a14紅。」
J39nB447_p0385a15本師靈隱老人忌日拈香。「雲州城畔,玉閣堂前,吾師J39nB447_p0385a16忌日,一瓣香拈。大眾!先師老人來也。風吹岸柳千尋J39nB447_p0385a17綠,雨點庭桃一色紅。」
三官殿嗣法門人海偉,捐刻J39nB447_p0385a24 本師和尚語錄第二卷,附藏流通。伏願長開般若J39nB447_p0385a25 之花,永結真如之果。J39nB447_p0385a26 康熙戊寅歲季夏月吉旦。J39nB447_p0385a27 板藏嘉禾楞嚴經坊。
