示眾。「雞寒上樹鴨寒下水粥稀後坐床窄先臥蟭螟J29nB244_p0703b26眼裡開夜市蝸牛角上打鞦韆是甚麼語話?」

示眾。「末法時代巧偽日生叢林規矩略而不講上下J29nB244_p0703c01無禮進退無節起居食息縱逸乖違視繩趍尺步者J29nB244_p0703c02為拘謹之夫以蕩檢踰閑者為曠達之士二三作黨J29nB244_p0703c03侈口譏彈五六成群牽襟嘻笑傳言送語而畫蛇添J29nB244_p0703c04背非面是而射影含沙挾愛憎之私枉毀譽之實J29nB244_p0703c05使東西疑忌內外參商玄黃戰水火爭有由來矣J29nB244_p0703c06或不自檢束動靜乖方容止失序驕心傲氣亂性渝J29nB244_p0703c07鄙物輕人喪淳薄德不分老幼不識尊卑不恤愚J29nB244_p0703c08不看病苦甚至裸身跣足師作弟隨放飲高歌J29nB244_p0703c09倡彼和迷而不悟習以成風嗚乎法門凋敝僧行穢J29nB244_p0703c10污亦至此乎古人云:『非先王之法服不敢服非先王J29nB244_p0703c11之法言不敢言非先王之法行不敢行。』世間士尚爾J29nB244_p0703c12兢兢自持而況出世間者哉豈知佛祖相傳為此一J29nB244_p0703c13段大事因緣為所難為忍所難忍慎小以及大謹始J29nB244_p0703c14而慮終名利不關其胸得喪不攖其志逆來順受J29nB244_p0703c15惱海徹底無波就下平高人我山微塵不起奉持淨J29nB244_p0703c16戒似皓玉之無瘕嚴護心珠如牟尼之在掌事無巨J29nB244_p0703c17細而凜以小心道絕顯微而擔以大力不問鑊湯爐J29nB244_p0703c18但期弘法利生六度萬行齊修四恩三有普報J29nB244_p0703c19曰小家子規規尺幅之中夫亦過量人歷歷修行之J29nB244_p0703c20詣有如是耳悲夫祖庭秋晚佛道凌夷娛情適意之J29nB244_p0703c21好行處人人著腳且謂得個便宜拌死忘生之地J29nB244_p0703c22難做底個個寒心何曾積些功行求其慈悲真實J29nB244_p0703c23辱謙和坎而不盈卑以自牧不惱亂夫大眾不愧怍J29nB244_p0703c24於龍天以謹節制度為師承以遷善改過為良友J29nB244_p0703c25以累歲負舂執爨辛勤十年念年用之一朝把釣持J29nB244_p0703c26竿撥著一個半個守先待後紹祖承宗若而人者J29nB244_p0703c27若龜毛兔角而杳不可得矣大約無智之徒甘心暴J29nB244_p0703c28作意佯狂忽略細微顛倒軌範愈趨愈下日背日J29nB244_p0703c29。《:『焰焰不滅炎炎若何涓涓不塞終為江河綿J29nB244_p0703c30綿不絕或成網羅毫末不札將尋斧柯。』彼蓋有見於J29nB244_p0704a01遠久甚大之害無有紀極而為之言歟山僧心傷已J29nB244_p0704a02目擊良多幾番泣路悲絲非謂辯白競黑誠恐後J29nB244_p0704a03進之流隨波逐浪直得不惜口業點似諸人凡我及J29nB244_p0704a04寧為眾濁之清作亂苗之莠虛空可壞規矩勿J29nB244_p0704a05山嶽可頹規矩勿頹滄海可變規矩勿變將見叢J29nB244_p0704a06林整飭龍象崢嶸寢熾寢昌可傳可法模範豈同小J29nB244_p0704a07小哉略示軌儀次列於左。」

示眾。「山僧昨夜夢中說法:『萬境皆幻萬象俱空J29nB244_p0704a09切心生心生一切空幻既滅心亦何存生滅無依J29nB244_p0704a10依空幻。』此山僧囈語也勿用記取。」

示眾。「父母未生聰明不有形骸既具耳目皆靈叵耐J29nB244_p0704a20逐色隨聲無有了日可憐生把本來面孔變成鬼腦J29nB244_p0704a21神頭眼波波地耳聒聒地那得個收視返聽如聾似J29nB244_p0704a22瞽底人說到這裡覺得山僧有些不平如今且教你J29nB244_p0704a23秖管向鬧市場中稠人所在走過一回看你腳跟下J29nB244_p0704a24有些氣力不若是站地得穩不東倒西歪又要扭著J29nB244_p0704a25你鼻頭問你每日間耳朵邊眼睛邊聞底見底是個J29nB244_p0704a26甚麼因思香嚴靈雲大沒勾當他也從擊竹觀花處J29nB244_p0704a27出過一身白汗來似這般伎倆落在山僧手中各打J29nB244_p0704a28三十拄杖一下也較不得為甚如此不見道:『從門入J29nB244_p0704a29不是家珍。』又且放寬一著打開觀音文殊二門J29nB244_p0704a30容你們出入古人云:『聲不是聲色不是色。』的的底道J29nB244_p0704b01又云:『情封則物理契則神。』也須放活鱍些好恁麼J29nB244_p0704b02看來未審聰明作麼生用聽得這樣說話設有個漢J29nB244_p0704b03出來道:『某甲不在聲色裡作活計。』我直得無言可答J29nB244_p0704b04緊閉著方丈去也還有末後一句想要與你點出J29nB244_p0704b05奈山僧耳瞎。」

示眾。「興龍驗人有三句第一要迸開頂門第二要扭J29nB244_p0704b07轉鼻孔第三要脫體逍遙須是不動唇皮分明道答J29nB244_p0704b08還有同生同死底麼?」

示眾。「參禪人若要此事穩當除非三年五年十年J29nB244_p0704b10十年方有點胸自許分如徒向他人喉下取氣則口J29nB244_p0704b11頭訣耳邊風有何益哉學者切須自審。」

示眾。「佛法不是鮮魚那怕爛卻恁麼道也是淚出痛J29nB244_p0704b16山僧每日口吧吧地就汝等高低資質深淺工夫J29nB244_p0704b17隨方就便搭梯設階指引一條向上路等汝各自到J29nB244_p0704b18家便休似這般癡心不了總為冤債未酬故造如許J29nB244_p0704b19口業無奈汝等視為泛常把對症語言聽作打傳口J29nB244_p0704b20獐頭鹿耳大家鬧鬨一場又懡㦬而休何曾經心J29nB244_p0704b21著意來殊不知生死事大無常迅速正恁麼時譬如J29nB244_p0704b22病者將欲垂危急求一救覓得個明醫國手莫管人J29nB244_p0704b23貝母甘草黃連但要起死回生臨灘一劑解毒湯J29nB244_p0704b24清涼散入口便服保和丸益壽丹到手便吞吞下肚J29nB244_p0704b25冷冰冰熱烘烘或補或瀉或汗或消自然搜腸剔J29nB244_p0704b26袪害除根若是諱疾忌醫寧死不服久久病入膏J29nB244_p0704b27縱遇扁鵲盧醫直得撫膺長嘆獨不念因病與藥J29nB244_p0704b28診候用方渠家費了多少辛苦難道是圖你利市藥J29nB244_p0704b29肥家快口底難道是怕你喪身失命沒個替代底J29nB244_p0704b30難道是救你一人圖好名聞等他舖面行時底總之J29nB244_p0704c01切膚之痛同患之憂即我大覺醫王救度一切眾生J29nB244_p0704c02之悲願也抑更有說焉病之傷於行住坐臥者昏沉J29nB244_p0704c03妄想也病之結於五蘊六根者味也病之匿J29nB244_p0704c04於心腕臟腑者無明煩惱也以至種種人我種種是J29nB244_p0704c05種種逐境隨緣諸般不正之病病之粗者也若夫J29nB244_p0704c06聖解不除凡情不盡三際未斷諸漏未消多端微細J29nB244_p0704c07之病不能枚舉者要在當人自調自攝自重軀命可J29nB244_p0704c08甘苦自知痛癢自覺起沉痾而養聖胎證金剛而J29nB244_p0704c09得不壞予於諸人有厚望焉昔人有言曰:『淮州牛喫J29nB244_p0704c10益州馬腹脹天下覓醫人炙豬左膊上。』山僧曰J29nB244_p0704c11是好手亦有一偈:『張病便醫張李病便醫李風寒暑J29nB244_p0704c12濕要分明莫將頭痛眼花認作痰瘧脹痞。』五雲有味J29nB244_p0704c13死貓頭加上引子服也在你不服也在你珍重!」

示眾。「山僧十數年前以見見十數年後以不見見J29nB244_p0704c15今覓個見與不見了不可得汝等諸人作麼生檢點J29nB244_p0704c16若檢點得出入地獄如箭射。」

示眾。「頭頂天腳踏地行住坐臥任其自然忽遇天翻J29nB244_p0704c18地覆時如何安身立命?」

示眾。「從來鐘板之設所以一叢林之耳目定日用之J29nB244_p0704c20準繩準繩定故日用清耳目一故叢林法昭昭乎炳J29nB244_p0704c21若日星凜凜乎肅於律令弗可犯而誤也乃賢智者J29nB244_p0704c22率而循之不厭其繁遵而守之不眤為細日熟一日J29nB244_p0704c23時精一時是以節度無乖鏗鏘有韻性情之和平以J29nB244_p0704c24志氣之中正聿彰非曰畏規矩也實乃敬叢林也J29nB244_p0704c25非曰防恥辱也實乃齊日用也細行不虧大德以著J29nB244_p0704c26安知今日嚴護規矩之人不即異日表揚法化之人J29nB244_p0704c27無何泛泛之徒非怠則玩非縱則拘拘之者愈慎J29nB244_p0704c28而愈差玩之者彌褻而彌錯差錯則不能不舉舉白J29nB244_p0704c29則不能不罰罰行則不能不跪香行禮跪香行禮則J29nB244_p0704c30不能不普告大眾普告大眾匪但以掩耳目也正所J29nB244_p0705a01以立準繩也匪但以立準繩也正所以動懺悔也J29nB244_p0705a02但以動懺悔也正所以謹戒將來使不敢一犯而再J29nB244_p0705a03一誤而更誤也而孰知有不然者聞舉著則煩惱J29nB244_p0705a04煩惱生則懷怨於悅眾經行罰則無明起無明起J29nB244_p0705a05則隱恨於座元告大眾則人我滋人我滋則比是非J29nB244_p0705a06較長短於內外是非長短人我無明交戰於胸中求J29nB244_p0705a07其做工夫明大事參話頭了生死蓋亦難之難矣J29nB244_p0705a08亦非有意為此也始則失於偶爾之疏繼則擾夫清J29nB244_p0705a09淨之念甚則成其暴棄之因此無他省察之未密耳J29nB244_p0705a10刻勵之未專耳參求之未篤耳夫率性而便者非其J29nB244_p0705a11智者也任情而往者非其賢者也惰慢而恣肆者J29nB244_p0705a12所以躬也傲忽而狂逞者非所以育德也慎小乃J29nB244_p0705a13可圖大謹始方能慮終卑而愈光謙則受益世諦之J29nB244_p0705a14矢志成人者亦且戒慎恐懼而況佛祖道場修行關J29nB244_p0705a15自甘顛倒軌範軼越威儀取笑旁觀輕褻自J29nB244_p0705a16乎可哉今日鐘板從旦至暮錯亂參差直日何人J29nB244_p0705a17麼結案竊恐規矩寢削日益廢弛體制迭遷不可救J29nB244_p0705a18向後首領執事務要加意整理犯則必舉舉則必J29nB244_p0705a19罰則必如例嚴明設有蹈前所說疚患者亦付莫J29nB244_p0705a20渠自誤渠非爾等誤渠也咨爾法眾各自反而求J29nB244_p0705a21小心慎毖未必無裨於正事其敬聽斯言!」

示眾:「芭蕉清和尚拈拄杖示眾云:『你有拄杖子J29nB244_p0705a23與你拄杖子。』」師喝一喝!「『你無拄杖子我與你奪了拄J29nB244_p0705a24杖子。』」師喝一喝乃云:「芭蕉道得分明五雲用得恰當J29nB244_p0705a25若無芭蕉道底五雲無由發端若無五雲用底芭蕉J29nB244_p0705a26無從結案芭蕉道的且置如何是五雲用處隨拈偈J29nB244_p0705a27:『虛空擊碎一張口帶累眉毛拖地走何似曲肱深J29nB244_p0705a28夜眠管他知有不知有?』」復喝一喝

示中知禪人。「行腳衲子須是步步踏實始不虛費草J29nB244_p0705b07如徒信腳信耳聞道東方有個宗師便往東走西J29nB244_p0705b08方有個宗師便往西行及至明眼人前或一言半句J29nB244_p0705b09了無入處反道佛法無靈機緣不契將些有用精神J29nB244_p0705b10盡向崎嶇路中銷鑠腳跟到底無點地日子豈知此J29nB244_p0705b11事不從外覓不向他求若能當下知歸狂心頓歇J29nB244_p0705b12平云:『當其發足南方時早知道錯了也。』試看天平所J29nB244_p0705b13云錯錯在甚麼處這裡會得蓬門茅舍鳥語花香J29nB244_p0705b14下水邊風清月冷隨時自在到處優游終日勞他腳J29nB244_p0705b15頭有甚交涉?」

示隱居禪人行腳。「宇宙忒無情怪出山與水奇哉世J29nB244_p0705b17外人踏翻在腳底青山青疊疊綠水綠潺潺非山亦J29nB244_p0705b18非水撥眉仔細看看來無不是幾個知端的鼻孔下J29nB244_p0705b19頭垂無人解出氣杖頭懸明月缽底盛清風直須恁J29nB244_p0705b20麼去風光處處同。」

示無言西堂。「言西堂參隨將近念載山僧於五雲制J29nB244_p0705b22中授以入山杖子令續掌師一枝言掩關白龍厥志J29nB244_p0705b23可尚山僧受磐山之請命言再來茲又二載J29nB244_p0705b24職監院事山僧念之不能無說彼諸佛諸祖大地眾J29nB244_p0705b25生以及有情無情總被巴掌先師以無文印子印破J29nB244_p0705b26面門各各放光動地而今這個印子既佩爾身J29nB244_p0705b27輕自提持東觸西撞豎擲橫拋恐其零星破碎有甚J29nB244_p0705b28用處直當善自保護待其法法頭頭不離這印腔子J29nB244_p0705b29又將這印腔子一槌擊碎無絲毫線影障人眼睛J29nB244_p0705b30時任爾豎擲橫拋東撞西觸不論此土他方人間天J29nB244_p0705c01來今往古諸佛諸祖大地眾生有情無情都與一J29nB244_p0705c02印印定雖曰無文而暗中文彩朗耀輝煌豈不有光J29nB244_p0705c03祖烈當此法門衰替眾志移轉之時爾能硬豎腳跟J29nB244_p0705c04不辭勞苦擔荷執事可謂夙願不忘向後還宜大展J29nB244_p0705c05眉端把有為諸法一眼覷破不加半點意思或林下J29nB244_p0705c06水邊逍遙任運或街頭市境引接隨機一一方便行J29nB244_p0705c07在在真實做去不問因緣而因緣自至不求受用J29nB244_p0705c08而受用自長到這裡主張撐持聽之龍天護法當必J29nB244_p0705c09有不負自不負山僧者山僧苦心別志多不忍言J29nB244_p0705c10為書數語以貽厥訓爾其勗之。」

示大衍後堂。「末法時代參學之流類多務華少實J29nB244_p0705c12子自隨山僧充侍寮入記室職後堂曾印以偈蓋十J29nB244_p0705c13二年於茲矣至是自當園頭執事山僧喜之因思古J29nB244_p0705c14來宗匠作家無一不從行門而出或有大事未明J29nB244_p0705c15此磨煉身心潛修密證者或有大事既明於間藏縮J29nB244_p0705c16頭腳積德培功者當其矢志作務時但知不愛筋力J29nB244_p0705c17不惜皮毛不敢於稠人廣眾中偷安習懶坐消檀度J29nB244_p0705c18信施空食行人血汗一味真心誠意忍苦任勞而孰J29nB244_p0705c19知行滿功圓時節一到受大福報享大因緣護法龍J29nB244_p0705c20天不肯辜負感應之理自然而然爾今於磐石山中J29nB244_p0705c21行此妙行豈不是從根本著實處做人此段苦心阿J29nB244_p0705c22誰忍昧惟是钁頭落處下下莫空任是佛來祖來一J29nB244_p0705c23鋤兩段若是無明種子煩惱根株是非人我藤蔓J29nB244_p0705c24他盡情剷削勿留些子夾雜荒塞淨田縱有甚麼釋J29nB244_p0705c25迦鼻孔達磨眼睛總與瓦礫石頭一並拋卻打掃一J29nB244_p0705c26塊潔白白地將正性真種因時播種好好栽培直待J29nB244_p0705c27靈苗滋長果熟馨香和盤托出供養人天大有饒益J29nB244_p0705c28豈不快哉古人云:『若人識得心大地無寸土。』钁鋤柄J29nB244_p0705c29子既在爾手正恁麼時向甚麼處著這裡合下一語J29nB244_p0705c30山僧與你大作證盟未為分外。」

示惺書記。「參禪學道先以志氣為主志氣堅定一切J29nB244_p0706a02逆境塵緣擾亂腔子不得志氣向上一切旁蹊曲徑J29nB244_p0706a03移易腳跟不得蓋由別具信根另著眼孔信得超佛J29nB244_p0706a04越祖定有機關看得脫死了生非同兒戲尋訪知識J29nB244_p0706a05細密參求雖棄體忘身執勞運力總為因緣大事J29nB244_p0706a06不轉腦回頭惺若禪人初於五雲受具隨堂參請J29nB244_p0706a07上志氣立定已堅抱病數年益深磨煉山僧如磐J29nB244_p0706a08侍者事歷經二載純一真誠茲又簽入記室縱運墨J29nB244_p0706a09握管之間不異執巾奉帚之日參請克勵儘有苦心J29nB244_p0706a10山僧鑒而憐之不吝葛藤一上大抵此事非遠只在J29nB244_p0706a11日用尋常處只在作為動轉處只在應事接物處J29nB244_p0706a12則借境以煉心繼則心忘而境寂久久純熟不用遣J29nB244_p0706a13境而境亦無妨不用攝心而心亦無礙臥輪云:『臥輪J29nB244_p0706a14有伎倆能斷百思想對境心不起菩提日日長。』六祖J29nB244_p0706a15:『惠能無伎倆不斷百思想對境心數起菩提作麼J29nB244_p0706a16。』誠如臥輪所證可謂得力修行誠如六祖所言J29nB244_p0706a17算踏翻關捩然又必由修行得力而後能關捩踏翻J29nB244_p0706a18到得伎倆渾無田地把生死二字拋向大洋海中J29nB244_p0706a19祖虛聲掃置糞草堆裡灑灑脫脫優優游游做個了J29nB244_p0706a20事丈夫出頭漢子聽其因緣時節隨遇安身自度度J29nB244_p0706a21乃各人本分中事自有不辜負從前志氣者禪人J29nB244_p0706a22勉之。」
