小參。「若論本分一著穿衣喫飯待客迎賓無處不是J29nB244_p0699c21現成公案汝等能於現成處直下承當千足萬足J29nB244_p0699c22待揚眉瞬目鼓舌搖唇蹉過了也山僧因齋慶讚J29nB244_p0699c23得隨處葛藤日前驗一僧:『禮拜底是誰?』答云:『眼拙。』J29nB244_p0699c24這拙之一字具甚深玅義三世諸佛從拙處放大光J29nB244_p0699c25歷代祖師從拙處扭轉鼻孔天下知識從拙處興J29nB244_p0699c26慈運悲山僧從拙處和泥合水現前宰官居士從拙J29nB244_p0699c27處看破世情看得破自是富貴功名牢籠他不得J29nB244_p0699c28得破自是田園廬舍賺惑他不得看得破自是恩愛J29nB244_p0699c29妻孥羈縻他不得看得破自是是非煩惱擾亂他不J29nB244_p0699c30到這一切不得處穿衣喫飯任運騰騰待客迎賓J29nB244_p0700a01騰騰任運不費纖毫氣力不假半點意思自性天真J29nB244_p0700a02渾然一個本來面目真俗無二巧拙不分現成公案J29nB244_p0700a03孰過於此就中還有一句未出方丈分明記得適纔J29nB244_p0700a04喫了禪悅居士一頓飽齋忘卻了也大眾各自歸堂J29nB244_p0700a05勿勞久立。」

小參:「米胡令僧問仰山:『今時人還假悟否?』山云:『J29nB244_p0700a07即不無爭奈落第二頭何?』」師拈云:「是則是春風不到J29nB244_p0700a08碧岫生光玉鏡纔圓寒潭弄影所以靈雲見花洞山J29nB244_p0700a09過水直饒心地開通終是命根未斷冥冥漠漠何須J29nB244_p0700a10威音那畔承當落落疏疏不向今時門中拈弄若也J29nB244_p0700a11會得烏雞啼夜月玉馬嚦霜天其或未然參要真參J29nB244_p0700a12悟要實悟打破疑團無拘無束撞木鐘擊石鼓半夜J29nB244_p0700a13入梨園誰聞復誰睹泥龍露柱可憐生現出心肝脾J29nB244_p0700a14臟腑。」擊禪床云:「甜瓜徹蒂甜苦瓠連根苦。」

小參。「考功一法如明鏡當臺胡來現胡漢來現漢J29nB244_p0700a16媸好醜洞鑒鬚眉若是真正參學人單單提起本參J29nB244_p0700a17話頭秖管疑憤將去功夫自有相應日子如一向郊J29nB244_p0700a18外打野榸胡思亂想未問以前預計那一句可以祗J29nB244_p0700a19既問以後妄臆那一語似蒙印許正當問時手忙J29nB244_p0700a20腳亂目瞶耳聾縱然鬥湊幾句閑花野草都是抓沙J29nB244_p0700a21抵水濟得甚麼邊事不知早被宗師看破如何躲避J29nB244_p0700a22閻家老子不見古人道:『休去歇去一念萬年去寒灰J29nB244_p0700a23枯木去古廟香爐去一條白練去!』恁麼時節乃得本J29nB244_p0700a24體乾淨內外一如舉起自知落處故汝等諸人直須J29nB244_p0700a25放下塵緣俗境拌著身心性命將無始以來習氣J29nB244_p0700a26向社火場中盡情銷鑠極力磨礱磨來磨去忽爾嚗J29nB244_p0700a27地一聲把那八識鏡子磨得粉花碎不惟習氣銷鎔J29nB244_p0700a28亦且靈光燦爛任是佛來祖來也瞞頇你不得更要J29nB244_p0700a29千錘百鍊鍊成一塊純鋼打出一柄殺人刀活人劍J29nB244_p0700a30隨時運用到處施為好不受用自在還委悉麼?」以兩J29nB244_p0700b01手摩胸

小參。「長三短五七縱八橫頭正尾正眼全足全會得J29nB244_p0700b03分文不值不會疑則別參蒼天山僧生在萬曆四十J29nB244_p0700b04二年。」

小參:「臨濟示眾云:『有一無位真人常向汝等面門J29nB244_p0700b06出入未證據者看看!』」師著云:「憐兒不覺醜時有僧出J29nB244_p0700b07:『如何是無位真人?』撞破髑髏濟下禪床擒住未是J29nB244_p0700b08好手僧擬議萬水千山濟托開云:『無位真人是甚麼J29nB244_p0700b09乾屎橛?』著甚死急?」復云:「這僧雖然當面蹉過猶解挨J29nB244_p0700b10拶將來臨濟恁麼道未免龍頭蛇尾如何即得未證J29nB244_p0700b11據者看看!」

小參。「要明這件大事必須打貼身心潔淨若腳跟下J29nB244_p0700b13有絲毫沾滯百劫千生也沒個玅悟日子何故秖為J29nB244_p0700b14諸人屢劫以來被妄想情緣沉迷羈鎖在生死海中J29nB244_p0700b15頭出頭沒無有了期所以個個宗師出來百計千方J29nB244_p0700b16垂手拯濟你道他圖個甚麼諸昆仲當念知識難遇J29nB244_p0700b17法會難逢坐長連床住清涼殿水來濕手飯來張口J29nB244_p0700b18不肯盡情放下著實參尋莫道辜負流光何以酬檀J29nB244_p0700b19信脂膏行人血汗是即是參禪須是信得及然信有J29nB244_p0700b20淺深參禪須是見得到然見有真似深信則百折不J29nB244_p0700b21真見則纖毫無礙纖毫無礙而內外圓明百折不J29nB244_p0700b22回而始終一致踢翻斷常窠窟打破生死關頭上無J29nB244_p0700b23佛道可成下無眾生可度灑灑脫脫優優游游纔叫J29nB244_p0700b24做了事凡夫出頭漢子設或未然喫飯喫茶切忌連J29nB244_p0700b25舌頭吞卻。」

小參。「考功說話揚聲大罵說話考功喚雨呼風不說J29nB244_p0700b27不考無煩無惱又考又說有縱有奪一錯二錯三錯J29nB244_p0700b28四錯東街王老賣好膏藥。」

小參:「乾峰上堂云:『舉一不得舉二。』」師喝!「『放過一著J29nB244_p0700b30落在第二。』」師喝!「雲門出眾云:『昨日有人從天臺來J29nB244_p0700c01往徑山去。』」師喝!「峰云:『明日不得普請。』」師喝乃云:「兩個J29nB244_p0700c02老古錐揚聲止響掩耳偷鈴有甚交涉來上座據款J29nB244_p0700c03結案道是甚麼?」復喝一喝

小參。「有言有說無縫插楔無說無言萬里青天一期J29nB244_p0700c05粥飯隨時到口終朝佛事任爾周旋灶上烏雞深J29nB244_p0700c06夜繡暗中一線最難穿。」

慈舟禪人緣化被害綠林師對靈小參:「曾記雲集J29nB244_p0700c08院裡驗汝:『六六三十六如何會?』汝答云:『五五二十五。』J29nB244_p0700c09又問:『死了燒了作麼相見?』汝掌云:『恰好相見!』鼻孔略J29nB244_p0700c10有些子氣息今向甚處去也昔有一老宿住山施主J29nB244_p0700c11送信供二十兩賊窺之以刀加宿頸索云:『汝寶聻?』宿J29nB244_p0700c12:『僧家之寶非君所需。』賊云:『把將來!』宿大喝一聲J29nB244_p0700c13被害看這老宿雖是一刀兩段且喜法不容情汝今J29nB244_p0700c14為眾忘軀三生慶快是則是只是不許計較何故J29nB244_p0700c15死罪福等空花順逆往來皆方便。」喝一喝

小參。「昨日十三鐵牛銜月臥深灘明日十五木馬巖J29nB244_p0700c17前穿雲舞即今甚麼時節崑崙腳底腦門裂衲僧鼻J29nB244_p0700c18孔本天然何用憑空強摸索長不長短不短十字街J29nB244_p0700c19前打破碗七花八裂可憐生收來依舊團團轉見也J29nB244_p0700c20見也麼貓兒狗子下油鍋脫盡皮毛熬盡骨虛空J29nB244_p0700c21拍掌笑呵呵!」

羯磨小參:「儒云:『過則勿憚改。』拳打心下事。『過而不J29nB244_p0700c23是謂過矣!』再犯不容聖賢恁麼道無非教人從不J29nB244_p0700c24睹不聞中戒慎恐懼十目十手處誠意正心惟自慊J29nB244_p0700c25自欺穿靴拄棍一步步踏實行來若在衲僧分中J29nB244_p0700c26則道菩提生於煩惱妄想即是真如殺人刀收來放J29nB244_p0700c27白拈賊換日偷天顛是倒非訶佛罵祖婬房彌勒J29nB244_p0700c28酒肆觀音果具這般手段一任橫行直撞不然也須J29nB244_p0700c29問過。」

除夕小參。「小盡二十九兩臂一雙手大盡三十日J29nB244_p0701a03床腳踏地年窮歲盡事如何燈籠露柱抱頭泣諸昆J29nB244_p0701a04誠然痛念生死須是愛惜寸陰勿謂今日不辦而J29nB244_p0701a05有來日今年不辦而有來年直此姑待因循從劫至J29nB244_p0701a06生不知虛費過多少日子秖如山僧與諸昆仲同住J29nB244_p0701a07興龍倏爾春倏爾夏倏爾秋冬眨眼轉盻又是一載J29nB244_p0701a08且與做個見丁著役底算帳就此一載之中果有實J29nB244_p0701a09落功夫麼得毋造諸業緣麼若是真參實學苦志勞J29nB244_p0701a10不逐境緣不貪利養從大火聚中安身一毛頭上J29nB244_p0701a11識取這一載總不虛過不則業由妄生妄由心生J29nB244_p0701a12我著人執空執有量不足以容眾學不足以輔才J29nB244_p0701a13等瑕疵實成疚患乘茲除夕聽吾道個解結偈子J29nB244_p0701a14圖解脫冤家。」彈指一下云:「業除妄除心亦除除到無J29nB244_p0701a15可除處一任數間茅屋縱步經行七尺長連伸腳打J29nB244_p0701a16晨朝起來依舊焚香掃地運水搬柴一上神通J29nB244_p0701a17同小小山僧恁麼告報設有個旁不甘底出來把住J29nB244_p0701a18:『如來禪許和尚會得祖師禪猶未夢見在。』但向道J29nB244_p0701a19如來禪祖師禪一口吐盡野狐涎晝夜郎當三百六J29nB244_p0701a20明朝初一是新年。』」擊禪床一下

上元小參。「火樹銀花處處開街頭鬧市自徘徊山中J29nB244_p0701a22不作閑遊戲那識元宵今夜來?」驀豎拂子云:「此乃衲J29nB244_p0701a23僧家不息底明燈一盞時時朗耀在在輝煌三世佛J29nB244_p0701a24六道眾生鳥獸禽魚河山草木大以成大小以成J29nB244_p0701a25短者自短長者自長莫不向這點光中分形別相J29nB244_p0701a26雖然還知有不別底道理麼三五一輪正月半金吾J29nB244_p0701a27不禁夜深行。」

小參。「雲行雨施品物流形太和元氣草木皆春今朝J29nB244_p0701a29又是二月一了看那東風到處勾者萌甲者拆萬物J29nB244_p0701a30欣欣盡向榮面目本來不借借不借借為君決生前J29nB244_p0701b01鼻孔何曾別非青非黃非赤非白名之不能狀之不J29nB244_p0701b02無物可倫無形可埒㘞地一聲恁麼來踏破東西J29nB244_p0701b03與南北不問天寬何嫌地窄十方世界露全身到處J29nB244_p0701b04釋迦與彌勒。」舉拄杖云:「見麼?」擲下云:「翻身踢倒五須J29nB244_p0701b05大地虛空如潑墨。」

小參。「古人道:『金剛圈要伊透栗棘蓬要伊吞。』大似苦J29nB244_p0701b07人以難山僧不然:『一粒栗隨伊吞太虛空隨伊透。』J29nB244_p0701b08不任人以易會得古人難底方會得山僧易底會得J29nB244_p0701b09山僧易底便會得古人難底難易且置如何是出格J29nB244_p0701b10句子冬瓜夏放花。」

小參。「『荷葉團團團似鏡菱角尖尖尖似錐風吹柳絮J29nB244_p0701b12毛毬走雨打梨花蛺蝶飛。』古人恁麼道未得十分親J29nB244_p0701b13。『荷葉團團團似鏡菱角尖尖尖似錐風吹柳絮毛J29nB244_p0701b14毬走雨打梨花蛺蝶飛。』山僧恁麼道乃得親切十分J29nB244_p0701b15且道古人山僧有分別也無?」喝一喝云:「潑油救火渾J29nB244_p0701b16閑事雪上加霜愁殺人。」

李松亭性真居士請小參。「惟此一事實餘二則非真J29nB244_p0701b18如何是此一事?」良久云:「山僧不解畫蛇添足松亭居J29nB244_p0701b19士遠涉關山皈予座下從派取名若道有名有也是J29nB244_p0701b20若道無名無也是錯將錯就錯道個偈子:『佛性真J29nB244_p0701b21如處處圓有無不著本天然回光直悟娘生面蘿月J29nB244_p0701b22松風總一般。』」

小參左顧云:「東邊底不用思量。」右顧云:「西邊底何須J29nB244_p0701b24摸索不如齊向中間待山僧為汝決破。」畫○相云:「J29nB244_p0701b25好似金城砦一進門長街頭第二間謝象虛賣底J29nB244_p0701b26大膏藥畢竟如何苗自地生雨從天落。」

小參。「山僧昨聞佛首座舉趙州勘婆公案驗眾云:『J29nB244_p0701b28如前僧如是問婆子如是答趙州亦如是問婆子亦J29nB244_p0701b29如是答那裡是趙州勘破婆子處?』峰維那云:『秪因前J29nB244_p0701b30僧如是問婆子如是答趙州亦如是問婆子亦如是J29nB244_p0701c01這裡是趙州勘破婆子處。』這兩個不識好惡漢J29nB244_p0701c02亂人家男女各與三十拄杖雖然官不容鍼私通車J29nB244_p0701c03且道有過無過?」良久云:「弄潮須是吳江客別語還J29nB244_p0701c04他漢地人。」

小參舉竹篦云:「只這個是汝等諸人各各本命元辰J29nB244_p0701c12見得分曉底出來道看!」一僧出師云:「絡索作麼?」

除夕小參。「年年三百六十日日日遷移日日三四十J29nB244_p0701c14二時時時密運因甚殘臘喚作歲盡過去底不可J29nB244_p0701c15因甚明朝喚作新年未來底不可得因甚今宵J29nB244_p0701c16喚作除夕現在底不可得既是皆不可得則密運J29nB244_p0701c17遷移底又在甚麼處見八兩半斤只這是莫教錯認J29nB244_p0701c18定盤星。」

小參。「參禪一著本為了生脫死非徒冒禪者之名J29nB244_p0701c20禪者之語裝禪者之模樣把來當得頓底何謂了生J29nB244_p0701c21脫死聻古人云:『不知生之來處是生之事大不知死J29nB244_p0701c22之去處是死之事大不知生死之去來處是生死事J29nB244_p0701c23。』汝等將謂姓張姓李是生之來處耶將謂往南往J29nB244_p0701c24北是死之去處耶將謂一生一死是生死之去來處J29nB244_p0701c25恁麼會三生六十劫古人又云:『生本不生故生而J29nB244_p0701c26不來死本不死故死而不去本自不生不死故亦無J29nB244_p0701c27來無去。』汝等將謂㘞地一聲而來喚作生耶將謂斷J29nB244_p0701c28卻一口氣而去喚作死耶將謂有生有死喚作生來J29nB244_p0701c29死去耶恁麼會三生六十劫山僧且為汝等下個註J29nB244_p0701c30。」驀豎拂子云:「這個生也畢竟生從何來?」擲下拂子J29nB244_p0702a01:「這個死也畢竟死從何去?」以拂子拂一拂云:「這個J29nB244_p0702a02亦生亦死也畢竟生何來而死何去?」座元出連喝三J29nB244_p0702a03師云:「好喝!」元禮拜師復豎拂子云:「還見麼若於這J29nB244_p0702a04個見得分明方知生者自生這個原不生死者自死J29nB244_p0702a05這個原不死去來者自去來這個原不去不來生死J29nB244_p0702a06去來且置畢竟如何是這個聻!」

小參。「參禪無別事先要向自腳跟下討個落點J29nB244_p0702a08將古人言句淆訛公案逐一參尋於古木巖前差路J29nB244_p0702a09上條條經過纔曉得閉戶造車出門合轍底道理J29nB244_p0702a10華結制以來五十餘期汝等有在樹倒藤枯話打失J29nB244_p0702a11腳根者有在狗子佛性話咬破舌頭者有在唯識唯J29nB244_p0702a12心話磕著額顱者山僧且與痛處加錐各打三十拄J29nB244_p0702a13是賞伊罰伊?」

小參。「占斷第一頭落第二頭欲免第二頭須舉第J29nB244_p0702a15一頭且道第一頭畢竟如何舉?」眾下語畢師云:「山僧J29nB244_p0702a16今日失利。」

小參。「參禪做工夫如人喫飯未可一口便飽須是二J29nB244_p0702a18六時中日用飲食漫漫咀嚼不管趙州茶金牛飯J29nB244_p0702a19門胡餅洞山冬瓜苦澀酸甜一一嘗過久之銷磨淨J29nB244_p0702a20連屎帶尿撒向他方世界不留一點餿飯殘羹氣J29nB244_p0702a21然後將家常造作底百味珍饈要吞便吞要吐便J29nB244_p0702a22不惟自飽足且能濟彼饑虛唼著底滿口清香J29nB244_p0702a23嗅著底通身白汗醍醐甘露不是過也眾中有得此J29nB244_p0702a24受用底麼莫道山僧口滑。」

小參。「山僧從來無些子佛法與諸人說汝等諸人不J29nB244_p0702a26得謂有些子佛法可求說於山僧若謂有佛可說是J29nB244_p0702a27名謗佛若謂有法可說是名謗法所以文殊起佛見J29nB244_p0702a28法見被世尊威神攝入二鐵圍山間今日山僧與汝J29nB244_p0702a29等同出鐵圍山間去也欲得不遭無間業莫謗如來J29nB244_p0702a30正法輪。」

茶話。「春殘花落暗悲傷杜宇聲聲空斷腸血染枝頭J29nB244_p0702b03啼不盡行人畢竟為誰忙茲乃農事正殷之際法宇J29nB244_p0702b04秦善士遠來辦供可謂忙裡偷閑山僧唱個因時曲J29nB244_p0702b05貴求滿座知音:『歸故鄉歸故鄉天涯漠漠水茫茫J29nB244_p0702b06可憐無數途中客迷卻家山實可傷實可傷實可傷J29nB244_p0702b07誰人不入利名場蠅頭蝸角成虛戰夢幻勞勞到北J29nB244_p0702b08到北邙到北邙離歌一曲淚千行本來面目空歸J29nB244_p0702b09鳥自啼春花自香花自香花自香幾能鼻孔解承J29nB244_p0702b10等閑識得東君面。』還有續得後韻者麼?」

茶話。「小除二十四一眾所共悉更擬問如何格外有J29nB244_p0702b14消息。」:「圓通秀云:『達磨九年冷坐剛被神光看破J29nB244_p0702b15今玉石不分秖得麻纏紙裹這一個那一個又一個J29nB244_p0702b16若是明眼人不須重說破。』大慧杲云:『老胡九年話墮J29nB244_p0702b17可惜當時放過於今嘿照之徒鬼窟長年打坐這一J29nB244_p0702b18那一個又一個雖然苦口叮嚀恰似樹頭風過。』J29nB244_p0702b19聚雲師翁云:『碧眼老人格破東來第一上座自是本J29nB244_p0702b20色天真多少癡人慢過這一個那一個又一個強作J29nB244_p0702b21羅緞經紀都把尺頭認錯。』五雲則不然:『臊胡熊峰久J29nB244_p0702b22瀟瀟灑灑得過但是鐵骨脊梁那怕捱饑受餓J29nB244_p0702b23一個那一個又一個大家任運縱橫何必更尋下落?』J29nB244_p0702b24具眼底緇素看!」

除夕茶話維那白云:「今年今夜盡明歲明朝來正恁J29nB244_p0702b29麼時請和尚開示法要。」師云:「今年今夜盡明歲明朝J29nB244_p0702b30但恁麼會更要開示個甚麼?」那云:「豈無因時及節J29nB244_p0702c01一句?」師云:「因時及節虛空腦裂黑漆崑崙渾身似雪J29nB244_p0702c02九夏不寒三冬不熱天地玄黃日月盈昃四序遷流J29nB244_p0702c03不改移五行迭更無休歇臘月三十來畢竟如何說?」J29nB244_p0702c04那喝一喝師云:「山中無爆竹聲響自何來?」那云:「明晨J29nB244_p0702c05元旦和尚出堂宜早。」師喚侍者者應:「!」師云:「爾須記J29nB244_p0702c06得好。」

茶話。「乾為馬坤為牛子屬鼠申屬猴露柱燈籠閑鬥J29nB244_p0702c11呵呵大笑淚長流昨日香罏山與半截礄論義J29nB244_p0702c12聲同氣十分綢繆被這夥不識好惡底來我五雲請J29nB244_p0702c13求戒法當頭一踏各自懡㦬而休大眾見麼欲超彼J29nB244_p0702c14岸高高立須乘般若深深行。」

茶話。「山僧住五雲疏疏復落落檀信入山來畢竟何J29nB244_p0702c16所作?」舉盃云:「見麼如是作如是受如是因緣大吉無J29nB244_p0702c17。」放下云:「舌頭原在口。」

大笑禪人母難請茶話笑出師云:「如何是汝報親一J29nB244_p0702c19?」笑作禮師云:「恁麼不須山僧饒舌。」笑云:「還請和尚J29nB244_p0702c20垂慈!」師云:「臘八日巧相因世尊成道闍黎誕生成道J29nB244_p0702c21底直悟得有生面目誕生底便具有悟道風光正恁J29nB244_p0702c22麼時闍黎在世尊眼門世尊在闍黎腳底喚作生亦J29nB244_p0702c23喚作悟亦得喚作有悟有生亦得喚作無生無悟J29nB244_p0702c24亦得雖然如是莫教辜負良宵夜覷著明星大孝全J29nB244_p0702c25珍重珍重!」

除夕維那請開示茶話師云:「山僧與大眾歲歲年年J29nB244_p0702c27日日夜夜坐則同坐行則同行飲則同飲食則同食J29nB244_p0702c28問來答去日用周旋何嘗不是開示必待今夜茶間J29nB244_p0702c29說話然後為開示耶直得不違所請葛藤一上大凡J29nB244_p0702c30參禪人直須一個做工夫直須一個信得J29nB244_p0703a01成佛作祖有分則禪不容不參識得自了生J29nB244_p0703a02脫死為難則工不容不緊工夫喫緊底方名真正參J29nB244_p0703a03真正參禪底工夫自是喫緊所以然者無非為這J29nB244_p0703a04臘月三十日一著子恐其大事不明未免手忙腳亂J29nB244_p0703a05必是平日銷盡伎倆煆盡頑軀更無分毫罣欠臨末J29nB244_p0703a06梢頭乃能自在逍遙倘於這著子見得分曉便知入J29nB244_p0703a07口是茶開口是話何語非話何物非茶何茶何話不J29nB244_p0703a08為開示除此之外別有開示分也無爆竹一聲催臘J29nB244_p0703a09梅花幾點送春來。」

茶話維那白云:「文德宇居士特上高峰辦供請和尚J29nB244_p0703a11方便垂慈不負腳跟消息。」師云:「法無定緣因緣而遇J29nB244_p0703a12有條攀條無條攀例如何是條例邊事昔日黃山谷J29nB244_p0703a13居士參叩晦堂乞指捷徑處堂云:『秖如仲尼道:「二三J29nB244_p0703a14子以我為隱乎吾無隱乎爾者。」太史居恒如何理論?』J29nB244_p0703a15谷擬對堂云:『不是不是!』谷迷悶不已一日侍堂山行J29nB244_p0703a16時巖桂盛開堂云:『聞木樨花香否?』谷云:『!』堂云:『J29nB244_p0703a17無隱乎爾!』谷乃釋然今日德宇文居士不辭跋涉J29nB244_p0703a18山涉水而來辦希有供請求開示山僧但將如上因J29nB244_p0703a19緣潦草頌出:『習習香風樹底生無端巖畔暗驚人J29nB244_p0703a20閑透得無隱旨處處林花處處聞。』還聞麼若也聞得J29nB244_p0703a21高峰頂上且許居士踏到。」
