J27nB193_p0248c04佛誕上堂。師云:「聖跡未萌,那畔這邊渾一體;娘胎已J27nB193_p0248c05出,人間天上獨稱尊。百福莊嚴清淨身,四緣和合黃J27nB193_p0248c06金相,開萬字於胸前,躡千輪於足下。杲日輝煌,慶雲J27nB193_p0248c07繚繞,天垂寶蓋,地湧金蓮。九龍吐水浴金軀,八萬人J27nB193_p0248c08天嘗擁護。殊勝真個殊勝,奇特果然奇特,正眼看來,J27nB193_p0248c09又涉功勳,未超聖量。若論格外衲僧,佛之一字尚不J27nB193_p0248c10喜聞,何況如許祥瑞耶?這個公案,自古迄今,舉揚者J27nB193_p0248c11甚多,錯判者不少。惟有雲門大師行格外令,貴圖天J27nB193_p0248c12下太平。殊不知,也是掉棒打月,勞而無功。惜乎山僧J27nB193_p0248c13不與同時,若與同時,不用如何若何,待者老子指天J27nB193_p0248c14指地時,秪云:『放下著。』又道:『天上天下,惟吾獨尊。』秪云:J27nB193_p0248c15『低聲低聲。』敢保者老子神和氣爽,海晏河清,豈不綽J27nB193_p0248c16綽然有餘裕哉?山僧與麼舉揚,還得慶誕也未?」良久J27nB193_p0248c17云:「一堂圍遶申三祝,殿閣薰風起鳳苞。」下座。
J27nB193_p0248c18結夏上堂。西堂良也問:「黃檗開期,慣用本分鉗鎚,秪J27nB193_p0248c19如逢著超宗異目底人,如何施設?」師云:「虎頭帶角出J27nB193_p0248c20荒草。」進云:「恁麼則期牙本是舊知音,流水高山不用J27nB193_p0248c21絃。」師云:「隱隱峰頭露一班。」進云:「今日林府設齋,不比J27nB193_p0248c22尋嘗茶飯,因齋慶讚一句作麼生道?」師打云:「是尋嘗?J27nB193_p0248c23不是尋嘗?」進云:「直下分明。」師云:「秪為分明極。」乃云:「陷J27nB193_p0248c24獸機關,妙乎毒手,活人眼目,所貴藏鋒。鋒藏忽然入J27nB193_p0248c25眼,重重障翳淨盡消除。手毒偶觸其機,一切生靈俱J27nB193_p0248c26在坎內。然世間小小技術,亦有神妙不測之功,以利J27nB193_p0248c27天下,何況佛祖鉗鎚、宗門牙爪,一棒一喝、一錐一拶、J27nB193_p0248c28一語一默、一動一靜之下轉凡成聖者乎?故我臨濟J27nB193_p0248c29見僧入門便喝,德山見僧入門便棒,又云:『夫參學者,J27nB193_p0248c30不避喪身失命。我在黃檗處,三度問佛法的的大意,J27nB193_p0249a01三蒙痛棒如蒿枝拂相似,而今再思一頓,無人下手。』J27nB193_p0249a02僧云:『某甲下手。』濟度棒與僧,僧擬接,濟便打。看這老J27nB193_p0249a03漢機用,如返風回火,奔流度刃,毒中之毒,鋒上加鋒,J27nB193_p0249a04牙上生牙,角上生角,殺活自繇,亙赫千古,苟承其宗,J27nB193_p0249a05須明厥旨,豈可呴呴之仁、硜硜之德、詹詹之言、屑屑J27nB193_p0249a06之行混雜其間,以玷從上綱宗也。茲乃結夏之期,眾J27nB193_p0249a07等請陞此座,欲山僧舉揚正法眼藏,於清淨大圓覺J27nB193_p0249a08中,一一點出正知正見,與諸人共知。未審諸人還委J27nB193_p0249a09悉麼?掃卻腥臊千萬里,惟餘正脈永流通。」下座。
J27nB193_p0249a10追薦請上堂。師云:「超生越死證涅槃,須具金剛眼目。J27nB193_p0249a11治國齊家振法席,全憑生鐵身心。有殺人不睫眼手J27nB193_p0249a12段,方許立地成佛;有立地成佛漢子,便有殺人不睫J27nB193_p0249a13眼手段。會中頗有如是作略,不妨各各撐天拄地,不J27nB193_p0249a14惟四料揀三玄要直下了然,乃至千重鎖萬重關即J27nB193_p0249a15時透脫,灑灑落落縱橫無礙,烈烈轟轟與奪自繇,幔J27nB193_p0249a16天綱子羅籠此人不得,匝地鋒芒錐劄個漢猶難。為J27nB193_p0249a17伊識破生死去來猶如夢幻,了知菩提涅槃等若空J27nB193_p0249a18花。以此續正焰之光,燈燈不昧;以此作將來之眼,法J27nB193_p0249a19法無差;以此薦已往之靈,步步蓮界;以此資現前大J27nB193_p0249a20眾,福利無窮。山僧舉薦已竟,未審大眾助哀又且如J27nB193_p0249a21何?」眾無語。師云:「脫落皮膚一切空,隨時應節自歸宗。J27nB193_p0249a22天壺水滿春光媚,兩岸花開片片紅。」下座。
J27nB193_p0249a23祝壽請上堂。問:「夏日乍晴芳草綠,片雲斂盡百花香。J27nB193_p0249a24玉融多少奇男子,特地請師為舉揚。請問如何是舉J27nB193_p0249a25揚一句?」師云:「雨後山山翠。」進云:「如何是本地風光?」師J27nB193_p0249a26云:「天開日日新。」進云:「如何是截斷眾流?」師驀頭一棒,J27nB193_p0249a27僧便喝;師又打,僧又喝。師復打云:「這一喝落在甚麼J27nB193_p0249a28處?」僧無語。師云:「落處也不知。」乃云:「法身匪相,周沙界J27nB193_p0249a29以無遺;慧性圓明,亙古今而不昧。三賢十聖,繇斯出J27nB193_p0249a30現;九有四生,借此根源。頓悟毫端,千祥俱集;聊插隻J27nB193_p0249b01腳,百福駢臻。不離有為而證無為,了明世諦以見真J27nB193_p0249b02諦。所謂『治生一切產業,皆與實相不相違背。』苟如是,J27nB193_p0249b03則道不虛行,功無浪施。雖然,又是吾人日用尋嘗法J27nB193_p0249b04身邊事。若論法身向上一著,千聖無啟口處,故山僧J27nB193_p0249b05一向終不撒泥撒沙以玷淨人眼目。茲因夏居士特J27nB193_p0249b06特進山供佛齋僧,請轉法輪,為祝令堂鄭氏耋壽,遂J27nB193_p0249b07開線道,以為福海壽山之砥柱。唯冀諸人淨心諦聽。J27nB193_p0249b08養不足以報父母,聖人以德報之;德不足以達父母,J27nB193_p0249b09聖人以道達之。惟道達之,報恩酬德,至矣盡矣。且道J27nB193_p0249b10如何是道?又作麼生達?」豎拂子云:「妙神明,超生死,貫J27nB193_p0249b11古今,一賢愚。以此福其親,滄海焉可量?以此壽其親,J27nB193_p0249b12巧曆莫能算。山僧祝延已竟,未審諸人讚嘆如何?一J27nB193_p0249b13座壽山千古翠,佛燈長炤萬斯年。」下座。
J27nB193_p0249b14解夏上堂。西堂良也問:「聖制九旬今日滿,頂門突出J27nB193_p0249b15一輪秋。如何是一輪秋?」師便打。進云:「好個一輪秋。若J27nB193_p0249b16是某甲不與麼。」師云:「打破鳳雛卵,一任潑天飛。」進云:J27nB193_p0249b17「與麼則驚天動地去也。」師云:「切忌撞破虛空。」堂禮拜。J27nB193_p0249b18師云:「又在殼裏。」乃云:「眉毛折散各周游,雜踏東西幾J27nB193_p0249b19百洲,緊捎芒鞋玄路滑,橫挑竹杖海天秋。大雄莫制J27nB193_p0249b20無韁馬,好手難招不繫舟,八角磨盤空裏轉,額頭磕J27nB193_p0249b21破自方休。還有磕破額頭者麼?如無,不得動著。且看J27nB193_p0249b22山僧細抹將來。九十日前所結結,今朝所解的;今朝J27nB193_p0249b23所解解,九十日前所結的。了知解結同源、縛脫無二,J27nB193_p0249b24更須立在無解無結之處,然後不妨堪為能解能結J27nB193_p0249b25之者。苟如是,縱目所觀、信手所指,無非直指之道。所J27nB193_p0249b26謂直心是道場,直說是妙法,直行是妙行,直證是妙J27nB193_p0249b27果。開門便見山,開胸便見膽。是法住法位,世間相嘗J27nB193_p0249b28住。何曾有個解結來?設若於中一毫委曲,不惟不成J27nB193_p0249b29直指之道,則五十種陰魔各得其便,內則竟日作祟、J27nB193_p0249b30外則引鬼入市,從死至生、從生至死,戕賊慧命無時J27nB193_p0249c01休息。茲乃解制之晨,聊借眾聖之力,不妨打破門戶,J27nB193_p0249c02趁出一隊閒神野鬼,直令於中空蕩蕩、靜悄悄,寂而J27nB193_p0249c03知、虛而靈,一堂風冷淡,千古意分明。此山僧所舉,係J27nB193_p0249c04堂奧邊事。只如諸禪人東去西去途中受用一句,又J27nB193_p0249c05作麼生道?」侍者豎拳云:「和尚識麼?」師笑云:「偶爾途中J27nB193_p0249c06輕錯腳,杖頭浪卷白蘋風。」下座。
J27nB193_p0249c07結制上堂。師云:「高懸缽袋,囊藏萬象森羅;放下藤條,J27nB193_p0249c08收拾青山綠水。密移一步,遍界無蹤;掇轉雙睛,渾身J27nB193_p0249c09是眼。全彰那畔風光,返炤本來面目。主賓一致,物我J27nB193_p0249c10相忘,正好彈格外之斷絃。韻高和寡,運到頭之霜月,J27nB193_p0249c11晦而益明。玄中至玄,妙上最妙。苟若會得,直下便是,J27nB193_p0249c12何用剋期取證?脫或未能,再三撈摝方有少分相應。J27nB193_p0249c13山僧昔日開大爐鞴煆凡煉聖,直欲個個得大機之J27nB193_p0249c14用,成生擒活捉之功,以光從上來事。不料法久成弊,J27nB193_p0249c15轉增遲鈍。茲者起期,不用如何若何,但要諸人退步J27nB193_p0249c16密移,移到無可移處,輕輕一踏,便到祖翁穩密田地。J27nB193_p0249c17不惟當人大事已畢,乃至從上門頭戶底了了分明,J27nB193_p0249c18所謂不取其華,但食其實。且道如何是汝諸人實處?」J27nB193_p0249c19僧云:「千古風流不讓人。」師云:「開單展缽渾無事,觸著J27nB193_p0249c20毫端吼似雷。」下座。
J27nB193_p0249c21師誕上堂。師云:「方纔㘞地是嬰兒,睫得眼來兩鬢絲,J27nB193_p0249c22五十六春如一夢,幸然不昧未生時。且道娘未生時,J27nB193_p0249c23還有氣質形名也無?還有壽夭窮通也無?還有榮枯J27nB193_p0249c24得失也無?還有人我是非也無?還有玄玅解會也無?J27nB193_p0249c25還有向上向下也無?還有生死去來也無?既一切都J27nB193_p0249c26無,豈有壽量而可慶哉?汝等團圞圍遶,如雲捧月,祝J27nB193_p0249c27個甚麼?雖然如是,山僧且掇出面門、露個巴鼻,不妨J27nB193_p0249c28與人天共慶。」驀豎拂子云:「會麼?釋迦老子生也,山河J27nB193_p0249c29大地生也,琦上座生也,所謂心生種種法生。汝等見J27nB193_p0249c30義不落人後,好花須插頭前,慶讚黃檗也得,毀罵黃J27nB193_p0250a01檗也得,慶讚也得一分功德,毀罵也得一分功德,慶J27nB193_p0250a02讚也沒量罪過,毀罵也沒量罪過。且道如何得折中J27nB193_p0250a03去?」眾無語。師云:「功德天、黑暗女、有智主人,二俱不受。J27nB193_p0250a04是事且止,今日應時慶誕一句作麼生道?」良久云:「環J27nB193_p0250a05繞溪山千古翠,親承雨露萬年春。」下座。
J27nB193_p0250a06冬至上堂。師云:「這邊不許長立,那畔豈可久居?放出J27nB193_p0250a07陽春一段,頭頭法法咸舒。東湧西沒,無欠無餘,一任J27nB193_p0250a08風吹日炙,何妨電掣雷驅。有時若隱若顯,知他是智J27nB193_p0250a09是愚?有時或順或逆,縱橫奚束奚拘。有馬騎馬,無馬J27nB193_p0250a10騎驢。秪如驢馬俱無時,騎個甚麼?且喜閩南春信早,J27nB193_p0250a11梅花國裏樂無虞。」下座。
J27nB193_p0250a12臘八上堂。師云:「星前瞥脫較些兒,忽睹明星悟已遲,J27nB193_p0250a13老倒瞇𥊚眼著屑,令人錯認兩莖眉。諸人還知麼?山J27nB193_p0250a14僧今日向釋迦老子頂𩕳上展演爪牙,於諸人眉睫J27nB193_p0250a15間掀翻窠臼,諸人還覺悟也無?如覺悟,自有一條活J27nB193_p0250a16路可行,不妨無佛處稱尊,無證處取證,無法處說法,J27nB193_p0250a17無住處著腳,著著有出身之處。如未覺悟,山僧別開J27nB193_p0250a18一路,與諸人共行。勿住聖兮勿住凡,急須轉向上頭J27nB193_p0250a19關,於心無事空行月,於事無心竟日閒。幾片殘雲穿J27nB193_p0250a20破衲,一溪綠水鎖青山,者回掃盡枝頭雪,若個闍黎J27nB193_p0250a21不解顏。山僧與麼舉揚,與睹明星相去多少?」僧云:「一J27nB193_p0250a22彩兩賽。」師云:「衲僧自有超方眼,肯向如來行處行。」
J27nB193_p0250a23上堂。師云:「靈源浩渺,瀰漫四海五湖;智鑑圓明,光吞J27nB193_p0250a24人間天上。眾聖以之為恩宅,群生借此為福基。而我J27nB193_p0250a25格外衲僧收放自如,剔起眉毛,一亙晴空全體現;揭J27nB193_p0250a26開腦蓋,通身星斗煥文章。融山河為自己亦得,轉自J27nB193_p0250a27己入山河亦得,發雷轟之令亦得,奮掣電之機亦得。J27nB193_p0250a28苟能於電光影裏搆得星兒,參學已畢,堪受人天奉J27nB193_p0250a29供,可作將來眼目。陶凡陶聖不居其功,為匠為師豈J27nB193_p0250a30借他力?果有其人,黃檗千斤擔子可托。如無,山僧向J27nB193_p0250b01三家村裏因齋慶讚去也。茲乃瑟江翁居士奉母李J27nB193_p0250b02氏慈命,特特入山齋僧供佛,請轉法輪。可謂財法二J27nB193_p0250b03施等無差別,福慧雙修自他普利。自他普利則不無,J27nB193_p0250b04只如收因結果一句作麼生道?」良久云:「菩提子結三J27nB193_p0250b05冬雪,優缽花開臘月紅。踏遍天涯無覓處——」豎拂云:「元J27nB193_p0250b06來只在此山中。」下座。
J27nB193_p0250b07元旦上堂。師云:「金輪影動,遍界流輝;玉闕令行,大千J27nB193_p0250b08草偃。個個祥光赫奕,人人瑞氣騰空,咸承鴻庇之恩,J27nB193_p0250b09俱享泰來之福。惟有無位真人坐斷古今,不逐秋去J27nB193_p0250b10春來,豈落新規舊套?有時紫羅帳裏翻身,有時芳草J27nB193_p0250b11叢中著腳,居塵勞不為塵勞污染,處空界不為空界J27nB193_p0250b12牢籠。任緣放曠,隨處逍遙。活潑潑,自天然,何須十萬J27nB193_p0250b13在腰纏?直至於今赤灑灑,借婆衫子拜婆年。高著眼,J27nB193_p0250b14掣風顛,新婦騎驢阿家牽。臨濟家聲盡逗漏,不知若J27nB193_p0250b15個眼皮穿。新年頭已到,且道無位真人即今在甚麼J27nB193_p0250b16處?」舉拂子云:「還見麼?托出兩輪新日月,擴充千古舊J27nB193_p0250b17乾坤。」下座。
J27nB193_p0250b18入塔請上堂。師云:「欲報重恩,一句了然超百億;未明J27nB193_p0250b19大本,分身碎骨也難酬。還知大本麼?能為萬象主,不J27nB193_p0250b20逐四時凋,沒陰陽地閒之遶,無影樹下共逍遙。雖然J27nB193_p0250b21深固幽遠,無人能到,要且聞名不如見面。還知重恩J27nB193_p0250b22麼?㘞地一聲全體現,圓明亙赫廓週沙,酬恩報德承J27nB193_p0250b23渠力,信手拈來錦上花。雖則遍體風光、通身流露,未J27nB193_p0250b24免見面不如聞名。茲者眾慈,百骸潰散,四大分張,無J27nB193_p0250b25聲無臭,離見離聞。月落前溪,雲收天外,一段靈空,誰J27nB193_p0250b26覆誰載?於此見得,薦慈已竟。脫或未能,山僧旁通去J27nB193_p0250b27也。」卓拄杖云:「會麼?一棒打開無縫塔,群靈共證法王J27nB193_p0250b28家。」下座。
J27nB193_p0250b29解制上堂。師云:「拆散眉毛,放去星分彌法界;打通鼻J27nB193_p0250b30孔,收來共住一毫端。苟能翻轉毫端旨,去去來來不J27nB193_p0250c01自謾。然則去無去處,去去實不去;來無來方,來來斷J27nB193_p0250c02不來。不來相而來,踏遍天涯無足跡;不去相而去,縱J27nB193_p0250c03橫海內絕行蹤。所謂盡大地是沙門一隻眼,見見無J27nB193_p0250c04差;盡大地是沙門一隻腳,行行不二。行既不二,始終J27nB193_p0250c05不離於當念;見既無差,自他不隔於毫端。祖祖佛佛J27nB193_p0250c06於毫端上轉大法輪,現前海眾於毫端上行住坐臥,J27nB193_p0250c07一切含靈於毫端上頭出頭沒。只為太近,不自覺知。J27nB193_p0250c08倘能直下覷破毫端,家舍途中俱踢脫,腳頭腳底盡J27nB193_p0250c09風光。如未,山僧重新指點去也。」拈拄杖云:「個個杖頭J27nB193_p0250c10挑日月,何須特地送風雷。」下座。
J27nB193_p0250c11追修請上堂。師云:「追修植福無多訣,只貴當人正眼J27nB193_p0250c12開,覷破死生無二路,存亡均益不須猜。若也於茲見J27nB193_p0250c13得,可為萬世之津梁,堪作將來之妙果。所謂一念知J27nB193_p0250c14歸,四恩總報;剎那得本,三有齊資。七寶池,八德水,日J27nB193_p0250c15日清涼;百福相,萬壽山,年年疊翠。不退菩薩,呼奴喚J27nB193_p0250c16婢展神通;脫灑真人,運水搬柴顯妙用。惟有山翁沒J27nB193_p0250c17伎倆,長年高臥檗山中,醒來赤腳翻泥水,踏斷東西J27nB193_p0250c18百萬程。諸禪者,急惺惺,莫教錯路得人驚。一失人身J27nB193_p0250c19千萬劫,改頭換面卻難尋。獨許至人登福地,去來步J27nB193_p0250c20步證無生。茲乃信女何氏,精修妙供,普獻金僊,一念J27nB193_p0250c21虔誠,萬靈共享。只如應時納祐一句作麼生道?」僧云:J27nB193_p0250c22「一彩兩賽。」師云:「樓閣門開春爛熳,四山卓立舊家風。」J27nB193_p0250c23下座。
J27nB193_p0250c24追薦慈嚴請上堂。師云:「欲報劬勞,須究本源。本源盡J27nB193_p0250c25處,法法同根。吾人頓悟個中旨,是則名為真報恩。諸J27nB193_p0250c26人還知同根意旨麼?無撈摸處正好撈摸,無著眼處J27nB193_p0250c27不妨著眼。千聖萬賢到者裏,無可指目。惟許自知較J27nB193_p0250c28一半。是以心空及第,頓超天上人間,性淨圓明,爍破J27nB193_p0250c29銀山鐵壁。內障外障一切障,當下冰消;自冤他冤曩J27nB193_p0250c30劫冤,即時解脫。一空一切空,一淨一切淨,一圓一切J27nB193_p0251a01圓,一明一切明。於淨空圓明之中,求其冤親得喪、生J27nB193_p0251a02死去來了不可得,都盧是個大覺圓滿菩提之相。已J27nB193_p0251a03往覺靈所證證此,現前大眾所修修此。山僧與麼舉J27nB193_p0251a04揚,存亡俱利則不無。只如隨緣赴感一句作麼生道?」J27nB193_p0251a05良久云:「雲收碧落淨如洗,月印千江處處圓。」下座。
J27nB193_p0251a06一文程居士為薦乃兄請上堂。居士問:「一靈離形體,J27nB193_p0251a07求法證無生。願和尚慈悲開示證無生意旨。」師云:「腳J27nB193_p0251a08下無私皆淨土。」進云:「如此則先靈承恩力薦也。」師云:J27nB193_p0251a09「頂門誰不戴青天。」乃云:「死死生生幾萬遭,這回豈可J27nB193_p0251a10更蹉跎,等閒掇轉本來面,頓悟無生一剎那。諸人還J27nB193_p0251a11會麼?一心不生,萬法無咎;一念無為,世界坦然。非聲J27nB193_p0251a12非色,昭昭於群象之先,離見離聞,炯炯於諸塵之表。J27nB193_p0251a13天地以之為根,萬物以之為母,聖賢以之為宗,生靈J27nB193_p0251a14以之為祖。至於德山棒、臨濟喝、雪峰毬、玄沙虎、秘魔J27nB193_p0251a15杈、禾山鼓、趙州茶、雲門餅,這一隊白拈賊,竊得些子J27nB193_p0251a16無生,到處為祥為瑞、為災為害。到這裏,不消琦上座J27nB193_p0251a17咳嗽一聲,一齊收下,舉似訥夫覺靈之前,伏惟尚饗。J27nB193_p0251a18未審訥夫還竊得些子也未?泥牛耕破三更月,木馬J27nB193_p0251a19嘶回萬劫春。」下座。
J27nB193_p0251a20水陸普度請上堂。師云:「器界根身,繇賢愚而得喪;人J27nB193_p0251a21天鬼畜,隨福業以升沉。福不自福,感眾善而致福;業J27nB193_p0251a22非他業,惹六塵以成業。殊不知業性本空,未了因須J27nB193_p0251a23還夙債;福緣匪固,恣情享盡禍臨身。以至敗國亡家J27nB193_p0251a24喪身失命,皆繇慧眼未開,不能覷破生死根源,反被J27nB193_p0251a25福業之所流轉。至於劫劫生生,互相殺害,如影隨形,J27nB193_p0251a26無時捨離,誠可怜憫。所謂身為眾苦之本,不其然乎?J27nB193_p0251a27故老子云:『吾有大患,莫若有身。如其無身,何患之有?』J27nB193_p0251a28我佛看破此身,如幻如夢、如影如響,乃成佛身。故云:J27nB193_p0251a29『佛身充滿於法界,普現一切群生前。』祖師亦云:『幻化J27nB193_p0251a30空身即法身,法身覺了無一物,本源自性天真佛。』苟J27nB193_p0251b01明天真之佛,刀劈不開、火燒不著、水打不濕、風吹不J27nB193_p0251b02動,豈福業得喪之能移哉?如其未明,藉此中元節屆J27nB193_p0251b03衲僧自恣之辰,啟建華嚴勝會,闡揚無上真宗,冤親J27nB193_p0251b04普度、水陸齊資。八難三途,共證一真之法界;四生九J27nB193_p0251b05有,同登不二之玄門。一超直入,永無退失。山僧與麼J27nB193_p0251b06舉揚,還普度得冤親也未?」良久云:「慇懃珍重無家子,J27nB193_p0251b07得到無家正好歸。」下座。
J27nB193_p0251b08圓滿普度上堂。師云:「一處圓,處處圓,頭頭法法盡歸J27nB193_p0251b09根。眾生度盡天將曉,不覺金烏出海門。諸人還知麼?J27nB193_p0251b10這段光明,輝天鑑地、耀古騰今,人人具足、個個圓明。J27nB193_p0251b11秪為不覺,自迷自惑、如夢如幻,於夢幻之中,作種種J27nB193_p0251b12業、受種種報,四生六道輪迴不息。山僧茲者未免作J27nB193_p0251b13夢中佛事,度脫未醒眾生而後已。故將東嶽作清淨J27nB193_p0251b14佛土,以龍江為七寶蓮池,殘城瓦礫坦然一如,幽魂J27nB193_p0251b15滯魄咸登覺地。所謂一念不生,全體剖露;片言合道,J27nB193_p0251b16萬機頓副。苟能於此信得及去,則佛祖命脈,人天眼J27nB193_p0251b17目,衲僧巴鼻,生靈根源,一串穿過,盡淨無餘。不妨動J27nB193_p0251b18著夢中癢處,忽然醒來呵呵大笑。且道笑個甚麼?眼J27nB193_p0251b19開不作夢中事,大地覺靈盡往生。」下座。
J27nB193_p0251b20師誕上堂。師云:「業識茫茫遍大千,阿誰肯究未生前?J27nB193_p0251b21支離潦倒無思算,踢脫古今一大年。諸人還知麼?山J27nB193_p0251b22僧今日一踏,透頂透底耀後光前。若也會得,便知法J27nB193_p0251b23性與虛空同體,法眼與日月並明,法身與五嶽齊秀,J27nB193_p0251b24法脈與四海共流,與現前大眾共條合命,與草木叢J27nB193_p0251b25林同氣連枝。樓至如來不後,毘婆尸佛不前,老彭非J27nB193_p0251b26壽,殤子非夭,千塗共轍,一道坦然。如是祝壽,壽不可J27nB193_p0251b27量;如是植福,福無有涯。雖然,亦是因齋慶讚,落草之J27nB193_p0251b28譚。只如眉毛插漢,鼻孔遼天;眼空四海,手握大千。且J27nB193_p0251b29道者個漢子還受人祝讚也無?」眾無語。師云:「托出古J27nB193_p0251b30錐到處賣,無人著價自羞慚。」下座。
J27nB193_p0251c01耆舊閒公壽誕請上堂。師云:「耳順心通,事理無礙;一J27nB193_p0251c02念未萌,頓超三界。直證本來無量壽,團團圍遶觀自J27nB193_p0251c03在。設若於此薦得,亙赫千秋;其或未然,何妨海屋又J27nB193_p0251c04添籌?若夫真正衲僧,以法為身,同乾坤而久固;智慧J27nB193_p0251c05為命,等碧落以長存;寬平為福,若滄海之莫測;仁厚J27nB193_p0251c06為壽,猶泰山之難比;淨潔為行,處濁世而不渾;素貧J27nB193_p0251c07為樂,逢清時以自安。以法界量為量,九有莫非我有;J27nB193_p0251c08以等慈心為心,四生盡是吾生。發之以風雷,滋之以J27nB193_p0251c09雨露,炤之以日月,成之以霜雪,庶物物各遂其生,物J27nB193_p0251c10物自成其實。以此自壽,以此壽人,寧不高深博厚,悠J27nB193_p0251c11久無疆者矣。此乃藉眾威德,同申慶讚已竟。只如茲J27nB193_p0251c12者,九龍現瑞,萬福迎祥,覿體祝延一句作麼生道?雲J27nB193_p0251c13收霧捲青山外,一個閒人天地間。」下座。
J27nB193_p0251c14師誕上堂。師云:「兀坐山堂萬慮休,慶雲何事繞峰頭?J27nB193_p0251c15莫非為獻華封祝,可是又添海屋籌。固有元辰非色J27nB193_p0251c16見,本來壽量豈聲求?請看覿體無依者,一段孤明不J27nB193_p0251c17計秋。諸人還知麼?以此自壽,以此壽人,事上也合,理J27nB193_p0251c18上也合。一言契悟,萬古同春;半句投機,千祥畢集。湛J27nB193_p0251c19若無礙之虛空,淨如圓明之寶月,無一物而不炤,無J27nB193_p0251c20一法而不含,雖有含炤之量,而不居含炤之功。如是J27nB193_p0251c21壽言,言滿天下,天下重之如珠玉。如是言壽,壽及後J27nB193_p0251c22世,後世仰之如山斗。草木知榮、生靈重本,智慧德相J27nB193_p0251c23具足,言壽並傳無疆,非龜鶴椿松之可比,豈芥城劫J27nB193_p0251c24石而能量哉?茲蒙諸禪德為山僧祝延,山僧特陞此J27nB193_p0251c25座為諸人舉揚,遞相扣擊,頗有鏗鏘,所謂知音彈與J27nB193_p0251c26知音聽,不是知音莫與彈。知音且止,只如即今應時J27nB193_p0251c27上壽一句作麼生道?」僧云:「天長地久。」師云:「再道看。」僧J27nB193_p0251c28云:「地久天長」。師云:「未在。自道去也。瘦骨長年撐宇宙,J27nB193_p0251c29一枝聊放滿林春。」下座。
J27nB193_p0251c30結制上堂。西堂中柱問:「銅頭鐵額滿山中,大鞴爐開J27nB193_p0252a01匝地紅,煆得渾淪金彈子,一槌便就出良工。未審向J27nB193_p0252a02上還有事麼?」師云:「腦後看。」進云:「只如超方異目的,又J27nB193_p0252a03作麼生?」師云「觸處圓阤阤。」進云:「恁麼則謝師去也。」便J27nB193_p0252a04禮拜。師云:「無汝立腳處。」堂便歸位。乃云:「一句三玄,關J27nB193_p0252a05寨彌天急著眼。一玄三要,重重綿密不通風。臨濟老J27nB193_p0252a06漢九百餘年,坐籌帷幄之中,決勝千里之外。豈料今J27nB193_p0252a07日不肖兒孫就窩打劫,捉敗老人,貶向無為國裏。現J27nB193_p0252a08獲玄要真贓,撒在百草頭上,一任餧驢餧馬。且喜者J27nB193_p0252a09一片地,空蕩蕩、赤洒洒,正好結個無諍保社,大開不J27nB193_p0252a10二之門。凡來聖來渾為一體,順行逆行了無二致。所J27nB193_p0252a11謂理能伏豹、誠可動物。一火焚千差之物象,一水收J27nB193_p0252a12萬疊之波瀾,一心含無量之妙義,一理貫百千之法J27nB193_p0252a13門。種種法門,種種妙義,種種物象。」豎拂子云:「盡被這J27nB193_p0252a14一毫頭收卻了也。汝等打草鞋行腳,走遍四天下,到J27nB193_p0252a15這裏也須著箇精采。且道這一毫頭從甚麼處得來?J27nB193_p0252a16苟知來處,可謂瞎驢之種草,堪起黃檗之宗風。其或J27nB193_p0252a17未然,不得草草匆匆。直須二六時中行住坐臥東卜J27nB193_p0252a18西卜,忽然磕破額頭,山僧為汝證據。來處姑置,且道J27nB193_p0252a19即今者一毫又向甚麼處安著?」顧侍者云:「且懸方丈J27nB193_p0252a20裏,明日示他人。」下座。
J27nB193_p0252a21上堂。問:「一椎打就即不問,火燄裏橫身事如何?」師便J27nB193_p0252a22打。進云:「設使超佛越祖的來,又作麼生?」師云:「大家出J27nB193_p0252a23隻手。」進云:「若然者,即十二峰巒齊點頭。」師云:「汝行荒J27nB193_p0252a24草裏,我又入深村。」僧歸位。師乃云:「杲日光中,通身無J27nB193_p0252a25隱象;月華影裏,遍界不曾藏。顯而不露,隱而彌彰。十J27nB193_p0252a26智同真,珊瑚枝枝撐著月;一玄三要,重重流出洞中J27nB193_p0252a27春。智眼圓明者七穿八穴,偷心不死的覿面關山。所J27nB193_p0252a28謂浮詞萬卷,不如至理一言;腐藥千箱,怎及還丹一J27nB193_p0252a29粒。還丹一粒,點鐵成金;至理一言,轉凡成聖。只如現J27nB193_p0252a30前人人具足、物物全彰,又作麼生轉?撇開凡聖虛名J27nB193_p0252b01目,信手拈來不是塵。」下座。
J27nB193_p0252b02上堂。師云:「舉國無閒者,有誰獨不忙?山房一夜夢,塵J27nB193_p0252b03劫幾滄桑。缽底乾坤大,杖頭日月長,豁開正法眼,物J27nB193_p0252b04物已全彰。諸人會麼?物物既已全彰,則三途八難、九J27nB193_p0252b05有四生,總在個裏。無一塵而不具足佛事,無一法而J27nB193_p0252b06不圓滿正宗。得現前之三昧,成觸目之菩提。非小非J27nB193_p0252b07大,能入小大,不被小大之所留礙;無相無名,可成名J27nB193_p0252b08相,不為名相之所牢籠。毛吞無邊剎海,芥納萬億須J27nB193_p0252b09彌,不是神通玅用,亦非法爾如然,只是當人自證境J27nB193_p0252b10界,不假於他術。現前大眾還有自證者麼?」良久云:「聲J27nB193_p0252b11前一句圓音美,物外三山片月輝。」下座。
J27nB193_p0252b12戒子請上堂。云:「佛子受佛戒,即入諸佛位。新學行佛J27nB193_p0252b13言,是名真菩薩。能行而不能言,法門之體;能言而不J27nB193_p0252b14能行,法門之用。能行能言,法門大寶;不能行不能言,J27nB193_p0252b15法門廢器,奚足道哉。然菩薩之心,大包無外、細入非J27nB193_p0252b16內,靈明洞徹亙古亙今,圓通週匝無欠無餘。行遍天J27nB193_p0252b17涯無足跡,方知步步普賢;智周法界各風光,始信頭J27nB193_p0252b18頭文殊。推倒十方無邊表,都盧一座大毘盧,諸大菩J27nB193_p0252b19薩只在毘盧面門上放光動地,三世諸佛歷代祖師J27nB193_p0252b20盡在八萬毛孔裏作大佛事。山僧昔年亦在毛端上J27nB193_p0252b21得入濫廁其中,所謂家裏人方知家裏事。今日未免J27nB193_p0252b22外揚家醜,獲罪彌天。可有傍不甘的出來為毘盧出J27nB193_p0252b23氣,山僧只得退身千里;如無,又向毘盧頂上倒屙去J27nB193_p0252b24也。然則向上一著,敢保千聖證不到,諸大菩薩行不J27nB193_p0252b25到,歷代祖師說不到,天下老和尚夢不到。且道阿那J27nB193_p0252b26個行得到?」良久云:「自是不歸歸便得,五湖煙景有誰J27nB193_p0252b27爭?」卓拄杖,下座。
J27nB193_p0252b28薦亡請上堂。云:「生如是,死如是,生死死生無諱忌;來J27nB193_p0252b29無相,去無相,來去去來沒兩樣。苟能直下了無疑,頓J27nB193_p0252b30超人間與天上。諸人還會麼?溪山各異,雲月是同,陰J27nB193_p0252c01陽雖隔,道契則通。所謂一處通,處處通,塵塵剎剎盡J27nB193_p0252c02歸宗。夾路桃花風雨後,馬蹄何處避殘紅?吾人於此J27nB193_p0252c03薦得,如雲從龍;其或未然,山僧向世諦中應赴門頭J27nB193_p0252c04去也。然庵主生富貴之室,不為富貴之所牢籠;處女J27nB193_p0252c05流之中,不被女流之所汩沒。而能廣作佛事,大開檀J27nB193_p0252c06門,在潮僧俗悉被其蔭,方外禪衲倍增敬奉。為法忘J27nB193_p0252c07名、舍利就義,罄其所有,盡供佛僧,可謂廣大解脫無J27nB193_p0252c08礙之真心,正是菩提薩埵之正路、人天大乘之通衢,J27nB193_p0252c09五十餘年行而愈篤。至於末後告寂,預備淨財,託請J27nB193_p0252c10山僧舉揚個事,以助末後一著。且道如何是末後一J27nB193_p0252c11著?」喝一喝,云:「黃檗山頭轟霹靂,潮陽海底忽生蓮。」下J27nB193_p0252c12座。
J27nB193_p0252c13師到永慶寺,念宗請上堂。問:「法無定相,遇緣即宗。如J27nB193_p0252c14何是奪人不奪境?」師卓拄杖云:「會麼?」進云:「如何是奪J27nB193_p0252c15境不奪人?」師云:「何處不稱尊?」進云:「如何是人境兩俱J27nB193_p0252c16奪?」師云:「人亡馬喪家何在。」進云:「如何是人境俱不奪?」J27nB193_p0252c17師云:「四山錦繡可人觀。」進云:「人境已蒙師指示,今日J27nB193_p0252c18上堂一句作麼生道?」師云:「腦後掛金鎚。」乃云:「殘雲斂J27nB193_p0252c19盡一天清,衲子紛紛活路行,喜有空王添老興,差風J27nB193_p0252c20送我上坡亭。諸人會麼?茲有大心檀那擲千金以嚴J27nB193_p0252c21福地,向上師僧拈莖草而建梵宮。龍象交參卻逢此J27nB193_p0252c22際,人天皈敬正值斯時。成始成終自然如法,盡善盡J27nB193_p0252c23美必也可期。山僧偶到此間,忽聞向上人,不妨突出J27nB193_p0252c24向上巴鼻,豁開頂𩕳眼睛。東坡山頂,卷舒峻峭之機;J27nB193_p0252c25怪石巖前,調弄險崖之句。圓通門啟,大放寶光;四面J27nB193_p0252c26亭開,收羅萬象。清溪一帶,蘇公儼然;祗樹千章,長者J27nB193_p0252c27如面。信手拈來,以酬檀德;從胸流出,蓋覆諸方。山僧J27nB193_p0252c28聊敘如斯,未知諸人還見麼?」良久云:「雲水盡投永慶J27nB193_p0252c29裏,宗風大振自斯晨。」下座。
J27nB193_p0252c30師到龍華,寺主玉軫等請上堂。問:「雙塔凌空齊鷲嶺,J27nB193_p0253a01一溪流水接曹源。如何是龍華境?」師云:「千山圍繞法J27nB193_p0253a02王家。」進云:「如何是境中人?」師云:「獨立乾坤待箇人。」進J27nB193_p0253a03云:「謝和尚答話。」師云:「在甚麼處去。」僧喝,師打云:「放汝J27nB193_p0253a04不過。」乃云:「隋朝古剎,普天之下無雙;僊邑寶幢,惟獨J27nB193_p0253a05此間永久。十年前已聞,不若今朝一見;千里外瞻仰,J27nB193_p0253a06怎如到者方知。大哉不可思議,妙矣難盡舉揚。若也J27nB193_p0253a07回機一念,自然法法全彰。茲者寺主殷勤啟請,感格J27nB193_p0253a08十方衲子一時湊合龍華會裏。且道覿面提持一句J27nB193_p0253a09作麼生道?一溪環遶龍蛇動,雙塔高懸佛祖燈。」下座。
J27nB193_p0253a10師到南林,寺主人一先、無依等請上堂。問:「黃檗峰頭J27nB193_p0253a11起雷,金剛頂上掣電,傾湫倒岳即且置,頭角已成,請J27nB193_p0253a12和尚炤顧。」師云:「看腳下!」進云:「願師只作東君主,莫被J27nB193_p0253a13風吹別調中。」師云:「半是思君半恨君。」進云:「大眾證明,J27nB193_p0253a14學人禮謝去也。」師云:「放汝三十棒。」乃云:「山僧今日登J27nB193_p0253a15高高之頂,突出遼天巴鼻,高談向上真宗,以接峻峭J27nB193_p0253a16之機,而資奇特之者。三賢十聖,俱立下風,五眼六通,J27nB193_p0253a17且居門外,惟許遼天峻峭,進前話會。有麼?有麼?如無,J27nB193_p0253a18山僧按下雲頭普示去也。秋氣爽,秋風清,老倒匡徒J27nB193_p0253a19向上行,行到水窮山盡處,頭頭法法了然明。既了也,J27nB193_p0253a20一切皆了,白牯狸奴無欠少,至此青天白日下,男兒J27nB193_p0253a21若箇不分曉?既明也,一切皆明,箇箇闍黎具眼睛,直J27nB193_p0253a22上南林峰頂望,剛剛日午正三更。如其未了未明,須J27nB193_p0253a23返炤,急惺惺,法法盡從腳下生,頓悟本來無一物,鐵J27nB193_p0253a24壁銀山盡坦平。所以道:『高高處平之有餘,低低處觀J27nB193_p0253a25之不足。』高低勿論。秪如竿頭進步一句作麼生道?凌J27nB193_p0253a26空駕險度天馬,返擲還他獅子兒。」下座。
J27nB193_p0253a27師到高田院,主人玉玄、若石等請上堂。問:「出吉祥峰,J27nB193_p0253a28入僊谿境。出入即不問,如何是獅子遊行句?」師打云:J27nB193_p0253a29「好事不如無。」進云:「恁麼則牙爪纔開山岳動,千妖百J27nB193_p0253a30怪改容顏。」師云:「自知較一半。」乃云:「一花現瑞老金僊,J27nB193_p0253b01五葉芬芳遍大千,幾度秋風吹不墮,至今又現在高J27nB193_p0253b02田。」豎拂子云:「諸人會麼?且道與釋迦老子拈的是同J27nB193_p0253b03是別?若道是同,法無同相;若道是別,豈有兩般?若向J27nB193_p0253b04箇裏舒一隻眼、伸一隻手一并擒下,終身受用,永劫J27nB193_p0253b05不忘。其或不然,未免枝上生枝、蔓中引蔓去也。山僧J27nB193_p0253b06自離黃檗已到莆境,首入永慶之堂,鋪舒長春之錦,J27nB193_p0253b07以壽無位真人。次入龍華會中,展演大機之用,以慰J27nB193_p0253b08大乘作者。又登金剛之頂,賣弄嶮崖之句,以接峻峭J27nB193_p0253b09之機。茲到高田院裏,平長敷演,以安本分衲僧。幸蒙J27nB193_p0253b10主人盡心誠意,感應道交,龍象濟濟、雲水依依,祥雲J27nB193_p0253b11圍繞、獅子嚬呻。在此場中踢踏一番,庶見者聞者俱J27nB193_p0253b12得解脫之因,悟者入者咸證無為之果。所謂衲僧家J27nB193_p0253b13孤迥迥處也須著到,坦平平處也須著到,靜悄悄處J27nB193_p0253b14也須著到,鬧哄哄處也須著到。只如無佛國土,沒神J27nB193_p0253b15通羅漢如何著到?塵說剎說熾然說,虛空點首已多J27nB193_p0253b16時。拈來一味尋常草,環繞山山盡展眉。」下座。
J27nB193_p0253b17師到報恩堂,僧澄遠同孝廉陳遂捷等請上堂。問:「僊J27nB193_p0253b18谿添秀氣,蜚嶺壯威光。和尚入報恩之室,登報恩之J27nB193_p0253b19座。如何是報恩句?」師云:「徹骨徹髓。」進云:「向上還有事J27nB193_p0253b20也無?」師打云:「是向上向下?」進云:「今日親見和尚了也。」J27nB193_p0253b21師又打云:「未知向上事在。」乃云:「適意優游,已了十年J27nB193_p0253b22話柄;閒眠頃刻,頓忘五百春秋。倏爾翻身,大開夢眼,J27nB193_p0253b23團圞圍繞,盡是金僊。所謂道:山不在高,有僊則名。水J27nB193_p0253b24不在深,有龍則靈。僧不在眾,惟道為尊。人不在多,以J27nB193_p0253b25德為鄰。道德之所在,忘年事之匪過也。道德之所不J27nB193_p0253b26在,捨身衛之何益乎?山僧雖然莽鹵撞入僊鄉,惟處J27nB193_p0253b27煙霞之頂,不為煙霞之所羅籠,遨遊山水之中,不為J27nB193_p0253b28山水之所留礙。步步踏實地,處處無蹤跡。荷蒙諸山J27nB193_p0253b29禪侶追隨參請,念有餘日,眷戀不捨。山僧所愧,德薄J27nB193_p0253b30道微,無有一法與人,惟要諸人自徹自悟而後已。如J27nB193_p0253c01徹悟也,剎剎塵塵無非固有之神通;心心念念,盡是J27nB193_p0253c02現前之妙用。如未徹悟,正值深秋,萬竅怒號,百物齊J27nB193_p0253c03鳴,未免亂汝耳根;晝明夜暗,赤白青黃,障汝眼睛。興J27nB193_p0253c04忘得喪,生老病死,壞汝四大;業識茫茫,生住異滅,移J27nB193_p0253c05汝心田。見聞覺知既昧,欲證圓通之境,詎可得乎?山J27nB193_p0253c06僧到這裏挑剔,令汝證入。」豎拂子云:「還見麼?」擊拂子J27nB193_p0253c07云:「還聞麼?既見又聞,如何不覺不知?秪此見聞非見J27nB193_p0253c08聞,別無聲色可呈君。箇中若了元無事,體用何妨分J27nB193_p0253c09不分。茲者報恩檀信請陞此座,不覺逗漏如此,未免J27nB193_p0253c10識者所哂。秪如真實報恩酬德一句作麼生道?人人J27nB193_p0253c11得本自還源,一法回機萬法全。圍繞山山齊點首,狸J27nB193_p0253c12奴白牯盡知恩。」下座。
J27nB193_p0253c13師到天壺巖,主人一空同徒良志等請上堂。問:「黃檗J27nB193_p0253c14峰頭峻,天壺八面青。棒喝家風即不問,格外逢人事J27nB193_p0253c15若何?」師云:「好與三十棒。」進云:「謝師指示。」師云:「指示箇J27nB193_p0253c16甚麼?」進云:「祥雲含瑞草,大地盡生光。」師舉棒云:「特地J27nB193_p0253c17斬痴頑。」乃云:「一心空闊,人間天上難量;一念圓明,此J27nB193_p0253c18界他方皎潔。證金剛之固體,放本有之常光。有時孤J27nB193_p0253c19峰頂上橫眠,八風吹而不動;有時十字街頭打輥,四J27nB193_p0253c20相遷而不移。可聖可凡,無拘無束,能真能俗,自繇自J27nB193_p0253c21在。得到與麼田地,便是吾家種草。其或未然,誠恐生J27nB193_p0253c22滅念移,萬有之中頭出頭沒,甚可怖畏。山僧前日妄J27nB193_p0253c23動一念到處逗漏,至今未得休歇。只得自狀其過、自J27nB193_p0253c24揚其非,與眾兄弟遞相證明,互為警策。一念起,歷遍J27nB193_p0253c25名藍登九鯉,等閒一座果天然,覽盡溪山風物美。一J27nB193_p0253c26念有,百怪千妖俱出醜,老僧不采意無窮,鐵額銅頭J27nB193_p0253c27盡點首。一念真,覿面無非清淨身,幾次拈來惟恰好,J27nB193_p0253c28這回提起又重新。一念無,天風扶我上天壺,相逢盡J27nB193_p0253c29是舊相識,鐵壁銀山不負吾。山僧到這裏,十方坐斷、J27nB193_p0253c30眼空四海,挑出壺中日月,掇轉格外乾坤。孤迥迥、峭J27nB193_p0254a01巍巍,天上人間更有誰。且道轉身一句作麼生道?」一J27nB193_p0254a02僧拂坐具,師云:「掇轉杖藜歸去也,密移一步看飛龍。」J27nB193_p0254a03下座。
