隱元禪師語錄序
J27nB193_p0223a02不慧默,仔細披閱隱元禪師三會開堂語J27nB193_p0223a03錄,出入始終黃蘗山者什九,應請福嚴龍J27nB193_p0223a04泉者,不過什一。自前丁丑,以迄後辛卯,結J27nB193_p0223a05制解制,大開罏韝二十四番,多在黃蘗。至J27nB193_p0223a06如運水擔柴搬磚弄瓦,建殿閱藏百堵俱J27nB193_p0223a07興,了中天老人四十年法席種種未了之J27nB193_p0223a08事者,亦多在黃蘗,具見所說行實中。當年J27nB193_p0223a09黃蘗運禪師本產閩中,而於福清山名未J27nB193_p0223a10著,自斷際始著黃蘗名,又以其名名所住J27nB193_p0223a11山,迄費和尚,乃興斷際以闡黃蘗,而隱禪J27nB193_p0223a12師復為丕承丕顯、肯搆肯堂,一黃蘗現出J27nB193_p0223a13多多黃蘗,豈非世出世間一大奇特因緣J27nB193_p0223a14乎?又行實中所說,初參密老人時,幾經痛J27nB193_p0223a15棒熱喝便已大徹,源底早被五峰覷破,更J27nB193_p0223a16有火叉公案頌古首肯,為密老人出格看J27nB193_p0223a17待者非一日矣。乃究竟秉拂傳衣,屬之費J27nB193_p0223a18和尚,不忝為隱之座元。正如玉泉、曇懿久J27nB193_p0223b01依佛果,自謂不疑,眾皆許可,究為妙喜榜J27nB193_p0223b02告,復來遠謁,入室得印,為徑山弟子。今之J27nB193_p0223b03天童即昔之佛果,昔之徑山即今之徑山,J27nB193_p0223b04翻舊棒痕,提新正令,又豈非世出世間一J27nB193_p0223b05大奇特因緣乎?直指門頭,威音那畔,能嘲J27nB193_p0223b06風弄月,展演神通,揭地掀天,全彰機用,不J27nB193_p0223b07受人天籠絡,不被凡聖蓋纏,如許浩浩落J27nB193_p0223b08落,吞吐八萬四千法界,於一毫毛端,使千J27nB193_p0223b09秋黃蘗動地放光,非尋常循行數墨汗牛J27nB193_p0223b10充棟者可方軌而並馳也。辛卯冬一番末J27nB193_p0223b11後句,福善堂一番勾當話,有偈云:「龜毛拂J27nB193_p0223b12子重千斤,掛在虛空待個人。磕著無情真J27nB193_p0223b13鐵漢,不妨拈起再尖新。」讀至此,使人太息J27nB193_p0223b14引領,惝恍莫測,真如洶洶鯨濤,層層蜃闕,J27nB193_p0223b15泥牛鬥入雲翼,圖南逍遙乎無何有之鄉。J27nB193_p0223b16廣漠之野,始終一潮音洞;茶頭執事因緣,J27nB193_p0223b17始終一黃蘗山。自平石曹溪滴水因緣,百J27nB193_p0223b18川灌之,不知何時去而不盈;尾閭洩之,不J27nB193_p0223c01知何時來而不虛。的的世出世間,始終一J27nB193_p0223c02大奇特不思議因緣。在隱師分上,不過一J27nB193_p0223c03頓家常茶飯耳。埽道人為次原偈韻贊歎J27nB193_p0223c04一絕云:慣運成風匠石斤,天涯海角泣珠J27nB193_p0223c05人,杖頭挑取雙丸弄,線斷收場曲調新。是J27nB193_p0223c06為序。

黃檗隱元禪師語
J27nB193_p0223c14人有傑,地有靈,交重也,亦交待也。夫人知之重,然後J27nB193_p0223c15因緣著待,然後時節顯。時哉時哉!跂足引領日,幾幾J27nB193_p0223c16於寂默灰冷之場,幾何歲月?而其人乃始一旦起乘J27nB193_p0223c17之,豈偶哉?吾讀黃檗隱大師語錄,而知人地與時之J27nB193_p0223c18合之非易也。斷際以前已有黃檗,而名未著;斷際著J27nB193_p0223c19黃檗名,又以其名名所居。於是一黃檗現多黃檗,而J27nB193_p0223c20開堂說法,非絳節之麓也。嗣居聲實並茂者不乏,又J27nB193_p0223c21非斷際之傳,歷千餘年。今天童老人暨費大師父子J27nB193_p0223c22接踵,迭興斷際之道,乃始大闡。而隱大師繼之,堂搆J27nB193_p0224a01再新,黑白奔湊,纘父祖之緒,於斷際有光,蓋絳節之J27nB193_p0224a02麓。山君樹神以及萬靈,八部懸企久如,始有今日殊J27nB193_p0224a03勝耳。地耶?人耶?時耶?三者闕一,即勝亦不殊。因緣會J27nB193_p0224a04合在今日,其致之,豈自今日哉?茲其語具在,大都掃J27nB193_p0224a05除知解,直示根源,如吹毛之劍、點雪之爐,而又句意J27nB193_p0224a06俱到,如摩尼珠,隨現五色,自非牢關穩密,途路坦平,J27nB193_p0224a07踞佛祖頂𩕳、翻衲僧巴鼻者,安有如是輝天鑑地,活J27nB193_p0224a08潑縱橫也。嗚呼!斷際以雄峰為父,以滹沱為子,故能J27nB193_p0224a09掀揭宇宙,久而益昌。今大師父子祖孫,媲美前哲,而J27nB193_p0224a10又同時闡化,消息互通,更不待重加尋繹,始知胡亂J27nB193_p0224a11後不曾少鹽醬也。此豈獨一時一地為希有哉?屈指J27nB193_p0224a12古今,丁斯盛者,蓋不數數源遠流長,吾於斯錄一見J27nB193_p0224a13決矣。

隱元禪師語錄序
J27nB193_p0224b02金粟費隱老人,為臨濟三十一傳,起未墜之緒,續方J27nB193_p0224b03焰之輝。十餘年來,說法為人,純用本分鉗鎚,不落玄J27nB193_p0224b04妙窠臼,單傳直指之道,乃大著于天下。後之接武者,J27nB193_p0224b05雖未可限量。然而承紹其宗,擊揚開廓,使單傳直指J27nB193_p0224b06之道愈益彰顯于當世,蓋亦難其人矣。隱元禪師首J27nB193_p0224b07入老人之室,即覿體承當,全身擔荷,掃去支離,絕無J27nB193_p0224b08依倚,室中得人,師為翹楚矣。玄生上人一日持師開J27nB193_p0224b09堂語錄示余,余受而讀之,見其機用宏達,言句光新,J27nB193_p0224b10騰踏當機,掀翻義路,摠從正脈中發揚展拓,所謂單J27nB193_p0224b11傳直指之道愈益彰顯者,當于師乎賴之,豈有殊絕J27nB193_p0224b12難繼之嘆哉?玄生上人,以余推重于師也,遂囑余序。J27nB193_p0224b13余聞稱人之善者,必本其父師之德厚之至也。矧余J27nB193_p0224b14亦出老人之門,忝師之昆季者乎?故取茲義而述之,J27nB193_p0224b15使世之向斯道者,知師為老人之嫡子,且識余言之J27nB193_p0224b16非佞也。是為序。

隱元禪師全錄序
J27nB193_p0224b22昔人有言:「智過於師,方堪傳授。」初師在纏,披緇脫素。J27nB193_p0224b23及乎行腳水綠山青,法戰諸方,陣前錚錚戈甲。死心J27nB193_p0224b24先老,棒下劄劄,芥針橫行,直撞百千人,倒弄顛拈三J27nB193_p0224b25十頌。爾時白鷗火頭發焰,豈讓黃梅碓嘴生花。予驚J27nB193_p0224b26而嘆曰:一枝聖箭九重城,萬里神光半邊鼻。蓋敬畏J27nB193_p0224b27俱矣。越七年,先老所應黃檗,即師脫白處也。相依山J27nB193_p0224b28川弗辭襤縷,滿地黃金渾不顧,又拈白紙告青天。師J27nB193_p0224b29智如此,而且遲其授受,直待費翁闡法向前領話,打J27nB193_p0224b30著昔時舊痛處,於今猶恨棒頭輕。可謂冤深徹骨而J27nB193_p0224c01未也。遲之又遲,時節已至。吐舌公案,矢口拈提三寸J27nB193_p0224c02舌,伸安國劍,千秋凜凜白如霜。有不鳴,一鳴驚人。至J27nB193_p0224c03是費翁榜示人天,吾師折衝龍象啐啄機緣,豈偶然J27nB193_p0224c04哉。向後養獅巖牙爪,龍神送不竭之泉;煆黃檗[卸-ㄗ+(共-八+冉)]爐,J27nB193_p0224c05曉鐘報自平之石。俯仰二十年間,金粟秉拂、福嚴開J27nB193_p0224c06山、龍泉正令,惟黃檗住久。其應緣也,無固無必;其接J27nB193_p0224c07物也,有實有權。有時驅耕奪食,有時換斗移星,有時J27nB193_p0224c08矢鏃加尖,有時瘡痕著艾,有時拍浪覆舟,有時颺風J27nB193_p0224c09縱火,有時敲空作響,有時點鐵成金。大要實嚗嚗,棒J27nB193_p0224c10打石人似拂蒿,先老之骨髓兼得;圓陀陀,盤走玄珠J27nB193_p0224c11如掣電,費翁之機用雙彰。承前啟後,臨濟家風。喝去J27nB193_p0224c12棒來,曹溪的派。源遠流長,良有以也。香飄果熟,亶其J27nB193_p0224c13然乎?偈曰:

J27nB193_p0225c04崇禎十年五月十四日,侍御林公,同鄉紳林宗賑、林J27nB193_p0225c05朝龍,文學林景台、林守穩、林伯春、林正立、夏春暉、龔J27nB193_p0225c06士龍、吳承啟、林茂輝、林士龍、林鼎新、林茂枝、林廷棟J27nB193_p0225c07等,暨及僧俗,請師住黃檗山萬福禪寺,於十月初一J27nB193_p0225c08日入院。至
J27nB193_p0225c09山門,云:「從上已來,閑門破戶,一時八字打開了也。且J27nB193_p0225c10道關捩子在甚麼處?」喝一喝,便入。
J27nB193_p0225c11佛殿,云:「巍巍堂堂,坐斷十方,正當與麼時,好與三十J27nB193_p0225c12拄杖。何故?不見道:斫卻月中桂,清光應更多。」
J27nB193_p0225c13伽藍堂,云:「城塹三寶即不無,重振家風如何著力?」舉J27nB193_p0225c14香云:「一番提起一番新。」
J27nB193_p0225c15祖師堂,云:「西天四七,眼橫鼻直,東土二三,寐語喃喃,J27nB193_p0225c16惑亂天下人無了時。今日不肖兒孫活捉將來,一爐J27nB193_p0225c17燒卻。」
J27nB193_p0225c18方丈,云:「掩室杜口,浪籍不少。古今天下老和尚,潑天J27nB193_p0225c19潑地,蝦跳不出斗。琦上座到這裏又作麼生?」驀拈拄J27nB193_p0225c20杖畫一畫云:「破也破也。」擲下拄杖云:「放出一隊老古J27nB193_p0225c21錐。未證據者看看。」
J27nB193_p0225c22即日眾請上堂。師至座前,拈侍御心弘林公請啟云:J27nB193_p0225c23「只者箇,爍破重關,徹法源底,逼得山僧無藏隱處,今J27nB193_p0225c24日不免對眾舉揚。煩維那宣讀。」宣畢,指法座云:「寶華J27nB193_p0225c25王座,流露真宗,我今更踏向上一著,千聖俱立下風。」J27nB193_p0225c26遂陞,告香云:「者一瓣香,爇向爐中,端為祝延J27nB193_p0225c27今上皇帝聖壽萬安。伏願龍圖鞏固,鳳曆長春,齊壽J27nB193_p0225c28考於芥子之城,扇真風於拂石之劫。者一瓣香,奉為J27nB193_p0225c29滿朝文武功勳,暨及郡縣尊官,伏願祿位高遷,德風J27nB193_p0225c30遠播。者一瓣香,奉為本山大檀越,并外護諸居士,伏J27nB193_p0226a01願同明般若之正因,共證金剛之固體。者一瓣香,大J27nB193_p0226a02眾會麼?昔年在這裏落節,今日向這裏拔本,爇向爐J27nB193_p0226a03中,專為現住浙江溫州府永嘉縣法通禪寺,傳曹溪J27nB193_p0226a04正脈三十五世費隱容和尚,用酬法乳之恩。」遂斂衣J27nB193_p0226a05就座。上首白椎云:「法筵龍象眾,當觀第一義。」師云:「第J27nB193_p0226a06一義諦,三世諸佛無著眼處。汝等諸人作麼生觀?試J27nB193_p0226a07出𨁝跳看。」僧禮拜,師云:「敕點飛龍馬,跛鱉出頭來。」問:J27nB193_p0226a08「祗園繇來古,法席至于今,請問和尚還有亙古亙今J27nB193_p0226a09底麼?」師云:「坐斷乾坤。」僧禮拜,師便打。問:「黃檗家風舊,J27nB193_p0226a10今朝令轉新。如何是新令句?」師豎拂子云:「會麼?」僧喝,J27nB193_p0226a11師云:「再喝看。」僧又喝,師便打。問:「陽春初臨,法席三開,J27nB193_p0226a12和尚即今將甚麼示眾?」師拈拂子左一拂。進云:「者個J27nB193_p0226a13便是和尚為人處麼?」師右一拂。僧禮拜云:「謝和尚指J27nB193_p0226a14示。」師云:「指示個甚麼?」僧一喝,師云:「且喜沒干涉。」問:「言J27nB193_p0226a15前薦得,屈辱宗風。句後承當,埋沒家寶。正當與麼時,J27nB193_p0226a16教學人向甚麼處摸索?」師云:「鐵牛橫古路。」進云:「不是J27nB193_p0226a17特來呈舊面,隨流一句事如何?」師擲拂子。進云:「好女J27nB193_p0226a18不著嫁時衣。」便轉身,師便打。乃云:「棒頭未點,遍界全J27nB193_p0226a19彰。鼻孔下垂,通身布露。脫體承當得去,直下頓超佛J27nB193_p0226a20祖。脫若未能,山僧第二杓惡水潑汝諸人去也。」豎拂J27nB193_p0226a21子云:「向者裏撥一線道,不妨輝天鑒地、耀古騰今、這J27nB193_p0226a22邊那畔七通八達,便能運大鉗鎚、施大機用,摟碎佛J27nB193_p0226a23祖頂𩕳、掀翻衲僧巴鼻。有時孤峰頂上獨立,有時百J27nB193_p0226a24草頭邊𨁝跳,在此非此、於彼非彼,一道平懷,泯然無J27nB193_p0226a25寄,蕩蕩廓周沙界,歷歷遍滿十虛。正當與麼時,共樂J27nB193_p0226a26昇平如何話會?野老不知堯舜力,鼕鼕打鼓祭江神。」J27nB193_p0226a27復舉:「二祖阿難問迦葉云:『世尊傳金襴外,復傳何物?』J27nB193_p0226a28迦葉召阿難,阿難應諾。迦葉云:『倒卻門前剎竿著。』阿J27nB193_p0226a29難有省。」師云:「迦葉盡力提攜,只倒箇門前剎竿。且道J27nB193_p0226a30阿難又悟甚麼,山僧今日不用如何若何,眾兄弟個J27nB193_p0226b01個倒卻門前剎竿。然放倒且易,扶起猶難。還有扶起J27nB193_p0226b02者麼?如無,山僧自扶去也。」卓拄杖云:「扶起倒剎竿,不J27nB193_p0226b03用纖毫力,依舊豎門前,千古明歷歷。」卓拄杖,下座。
J27nB193_p0226b04立知事頭首上堂。問:「如何是全提?」師豎拳云:「是全提J27nB193_p0226b05半提?」僧喝,師打云:「棒喝交馳即不無,如何是端的意?」J27nB193_p0226b06僧又喝,師直打出法堂。乃云:「實際理地,不受一塵;佛J27nB193_p0226b07事門中,不捨一法。建法幢,立宗旨,直須徹骨弟兄互J27nB193_p0226b08為肘臂,通方作者共相證明。謀道終不謀食,為法必J27nB193_p0226b09也忘軀,一言相契,千古不易。如空合空,似水投水。本J27nB193_p0226b10無異色,豈有異名?若能個個如是,敢保事事成辦。街J27nB193_p0226b11坊塵中作主,知客接引來賓,典座善調眾口,庫司出J27nB193_p0226b12納分明,監寺總柄綱律,長老截鐵斬釘,更有無位真J27nB193_p0226b13人領覽箇甚麼?會麼?把手將他行不去,惟人自肯乃J27nB193_p0226b14方親。」下座。
J27nB193_p0226b15開爐結制上堂。師云:「十方同聚會,個個學無為。此是J27nB193_p0226b16選佛場,心空及第歸。還有心空及第者麼?請出相見。」J27nB193_p0226b17僧纔禮拜,師云:「早知汝也。」問:「大鵬展翼天衢遠,選佛J27nB193_p0226b18選官應祖席。今日及第場開,還許我傳臚首唱也無?」J27nB193_p0226b19師云:「點額蝦蟆。」進云:「龍門九重,慶遭點額去也。」師云:J27nB193_p0226b20「死水裏浸殺。」僧喝,師便打。問:「打板坐禪,撾鼓上堂,無J27nB193_p0226b21非者箇。何謂萬古碧潭空界月,再三撈摝始應知?」師J27nB193_p0226b22云:「看腳下。」進云:「磕著撞著去也。」師云:「向甚麼處去?」僧J27nB193_p0226b23噓一聲,師擉退,乃云:「新長老,乍開爐,烈焰烜天孰敢J27nB193_p0226b24摸?擬欲進前身已喪,那堪回首更躊躕。草鞋拄杖丟J27nB193_p0226b25過一邊,禪板蒲團錯用工夫。拈卻西來大意,放下東J27nB193_p0226b26壁葫蘆。掀翻是非窠臼,坐斷報化佛顱。無端打失娘J27nB193_p0226b27生鼻,天上人間不可摸。正當與麼時,還有為人處也J27nB193_p0226b28無?剪碎白雲飛片片,打翻明月落家家。」復云:「把住布J27nB193_p0226b29袋口,須彌丁倒走。日午打三更,面南看北斗。更擬問J27nB193_p0226b30如何,白棒劈脊摟。直下解翻身,已落渠儂後。且不落J27nB193_p0226c01人後作麼生道?」驀豎拂云:「惟有這著子,古今無蓋覆。」J27nB193_p0226c02喝一喝,下座。
J27nB193_p0226c03上堂。問:「語不是默,亦非非語非默,請道一句」。師云:「塞J27nB193_p0226c04卻咽喉。」僧擬議,師打云:「是語是默?」僧無語,師便啐,乃J27nB193_p0226c05云:「今朝十一月初一,個個鼻孔條直,百千無量法門。」J27nB193_p0226c06卓拄杖云:「總在者裏頓入。會則信手拈來,填溝塞壑;J27nB193_p0226c07不會,且搭在九郎田畔,一任風吹日炙。」復舉:「水潦和J27nB193_p0226c08尚問馬祖:『如何是西來大意?』祖一踏踏倒,起來呵呵J27nB193_p0226c09大笑云:『百千法門,無量妙義,總向一毫頭上識得根J27nB193_p0226c10源去。』俊哉!俊哉!非但水潦如是,乃至千賢萬聖都向J27nB193_p0226c11此一毫頭上親證實悟,方敢為人覿面提持。現前大J27nB193_p0226c12眾還曾實證也無?若有,二六時中,步步有分身之意,J27nB193_p0226c13著著有出身之路。如無,更有異方便,助汝證入。」卓拄J27nB193_p0226c14杖云:「會麼?若非舉鼎拔山力,千里烏騅不易騎。」下座。
J27nB193_p0226c15冬至上堂。問:「銀山鐵壁,如何推倒?」師擉云:「推倒了也。」J27nB193_p0226c16進云:「急浪灘頭如何跳過?」師打一棒。進云:「百尺竿頭,J27nB193_p0226c17如何進步?」師云:「退去。」進云:「千峰頂上如何轉身?」師云:J27nB193_p0226c18「汝試轉身看。」僧轉身,師便打。典座問:「出聲念佛,不為J27nB193_p0226c19正念;默念彌陀,不為正念。如何為正念?」師云:「破木杓。」J27nB193_p0226c20僧禮拜,師云:「還我木杓來。」僧無語,師便打,乃云:「欲識J27nB193_p0226c21佛性義,當觀時節因緣,時節若至,其理自彰。且道即J27nB193_p0226c22今是甚麼時節?莫是山僧㘞地時節麼?莫是一陽來J27nB193_p0226c23復時節麼?總與麼會,未脫尋常見解;不與麼會,未免J27nB193_p0226c24墮坑落塹。不涉二邊中間,挨將一句來,許汝入黃檗J27nB193_p0226c25門,慶讚黃檗有分。有麼?有麼?」一僧云:「猛虎當路踞。」師J27nB193_p0226c26云:「猶是門外漢。」復云:「聖名凡號,總是虛聲,殊相劣形,J27nB193_p0226c27無非幻色。若論當人最初本命元辰一著子,直須向J27nB193_p0226c28父母未生以前、陰陽未判之先,一截截斷、祖佛慶讚J27nB193_p0226c29不及、天人瞻仰無門,求其生死,名目無有。時節因緣,J27nB193_p0226c30何處得來?若知有者,聞與麼道,徹骨徹髓;不知有者,J27nB193_p0227a01猶恐業識茫茫。雖然,官不容針,何妨私通車馬?」驀呈J27nB193_p0227a02拄杖云:「赤骨𩪸,露堂堂,洗清天地一林霜。有意氣時J27nB193_p0227a03添意氣,不風光處卻風光。」卓拄杖,下座。
J27nB193_p0227a04延生請上堂。問:「龐公云:『大家團圞頭,共說無生話。』如J27nB193_p0227a05何是無生話?」師云:「放汝三十棒。」進云:「看破龐公了也。」J27nB193_p0227a06師云:「看破在什麼處?」僧以手掩面云:「蒼天蒼天。」師打J27nB193_p0227a07云:「放汝不過。」問:「如何是金剛不壞身?」師翹足云:「者箇J27nB193_p0227a08壞不壞?」乃云:「豁開正法眼,四方八面洞明;突出本來J27nB193_p0227a09身,天上人間獨露。奇特處奇特,弓弦走馬;殊勝中殊J27nB193_p0227a10勝,錦上添花。須是奇特人,方明殊勝事;須是殊勝事,J27nB193_p0227a11方顯奇特人。正當此際,以何為驗?」以拂子擊香几左J27nB193_p0227a12邊云:「豈不是奇特人?」復擊香几右邊云:「豈不是殊勝J27nB193_p0227a13事?若向箇裏信得及、作得主,把得住、放得開,便與三J27nB193_p0227a14世諸佛同一鼻孔出氣,與天地萬物同一根生,與山J27nB193_p0227a15河大地同一體現。無二無二分,無別無斷故。如是則J27nB193_p0227a16不求殊勝而殊勝自至,不預津梁而津梁現前。以此J27nB193_p0227a17營福,何福不臻?以此延生,何生不慶?即今因齋慶讚J27nB193_p0227a18一句作麼生道?峭壁崚嶒千古峻,林巒蒼翠萬年春。」J27nB193_p0227a19卓拄杖,下座。
J27nB193_p0227a20上堂。問:「昔日藥山謂高沙彌云:『大有人不受戒亦不J27nB193_p0227a21作佛,未審是甚麼人?』」師拈拄杖,左邊卓一卓。進云:「只J27nB193_p0227a22如沙彌具甚麼眼,便道佛戒奚用?」師右邊卓一卓。進J27nB193_p0227a23云:「今日學人不恁麼道。」師云:「汝又作麼生?」進云:「正好J27nB193_p0227a24持戒,正好修行。」師打云:「我只要抹殺。」問:「如何是奪人J27nB193_p0227a25不奪境?」師云:「野渡無人舟自橫。」進云:「如何是奪境不J27nB193_p0227a26奪人?」師云:「踏斷長江月一輪。」進云:「如何是人境兩俱J27nB193_p0227a27奪?」師放下拄杖。進云:「如何是人境俱不奪?」師云:「得魚J27nB193_p0227a28沽酒大家醉。」進云:「人境已蒙師指示,人忘境寂是如J27nB193_p0227a29何?」師云:「自家薦取。」乃云:「萬福堂前峰巒突兀,九龍樹J27nB193_p0227a30畔澗水潺湲。天際日上月下,林間雲去雲來。乃至恒J27nB193_p0227b01沙世界草木叢林,一一為汝諸人印破面門了也。諸J27nB193_p0227b02禪德!還摸著鼻孔也未?如摸著,直下孤迥迥、峭巍巍,J27nB193_p0227b03圓陀陀、活潑潑,如龍得水、似虎靠山,便能歸山河大J27nB193_p0227b04地作自己,散自己為大地山河。於一毫端現寶王剎,J27nB193_p0227b05坐微塵裏轉大法輪。即當人自證境界,非假於他術。J27nB193_p0227b06且自證境界一句作麼生道?撲落非他物,縱橫不是J27nB193_p0227b07塵。」喝一喝,下座。
J27nB193_p0227b08上堂。問:「單刀直入,不容擬議,是如何?」師打云:「正要行J27nB193_p0227b09此令。」僧喝,師又打。僧云:「象王行處絕狐蹤。」師直打退,J27nB193_p0227b10乃云:「昔是貧家子,今為象外人。頭頭俱坐斷,處處已J27nB193_p0227b11通津。黃檗涼心腑,梅花入眼新。聖凡無定相,弄假卻J27nB193_p0227b12成真。山僧今日無端在三家村裏撒屎撒尿了也。子J27nB193_p0227b13細簡點將來,也是熟處難忘。眾中有覺臭者,不妨抓J27nB193_p0227b14屎相潑,向屎橛裏轉大法輪、作大佛事,令天下人知J27nB193_p0227b15些氣味。豈不美哉!如無,又向孤峰頂上倒屙去也。黃J27nB193_p0227b16檗橫吹玉笛,東林野老謳歌,一段高山流水,路上行J27nB193_p0227b17人奈何。呵呵呵,會也無?座中若有江南客,不向樽前J27nB193_p0227b18唱鷓鴣。」下座。
J27nB193_p0227b19臘八上堂。問:「佛佛授受,祖祖相承。且道無形相人來,J27nB193_p0227b20又作麼生傳授?」師云:「喚他向前來。」進云:「某甲去也。」師J27nB193_p0227b21云:「什麼處去?」進云:「他家自有通霄路。」師云:「腳跟下好J27nB193_p0227b22與三十棒。」乃云:「釋迦老子午夜睹星悟,云:『奇哉奇哉。J27nB193_p0227b23一切眾生俱有如來智慧德相,皆因妄想執著不能J27nB193_p0227b24證得。』也是憐兒不覺醜,未免話作兩截。黃檗午夜豎J27nB193_p0227b25剎竿,大家在裏許,無有智慧德相可證,亦無有妄想J27nB193_p0227b26執著可得。且道與釋迦老子相去多少?有具擇法眼J27nB193_p0227b27者,出來判斷看。」眾下語不契。復云:「昔日世尊昇忉利J27nB193_p0227b28天為母說法。說甚麼法?」驀豎拂云:「也只是這箇。今日J27nB193_p0227b29山僧不動本際,為諸父老談禪。談甚麼禪?也只是這J27nB193_p0227b30箇。這箇又是箇什麼?上士一決一切了,中下多聞多J27nB193_p0227c01不信。若論箇事,正如八十翁翁入場屋,真誠不是小J27nB193_p0227c02兒戲。今日幸逢家裏人,說家裏話、拈家中物、示家中J27nB193_p0227c03人,喚作拂子則觸,不喚作拂子則背。不得無語,不得J27nB193_p0227c04有言,不得下喝,不得拂袖便行。向箇裏消息得恰好J27nB193_p0227c05去,許汝入黃檗門、見黃檗人,與黃檗同條合命、共氣J27nB193_p0227c06連枝。不然,盡是門外之遶漢,要見黃檗毫毛也大難。J27nB193_p0227c07大丈夫兒,莫受人謾。擬涉思惟遲八刻,回頭轉腦白J27nB193_p0227c08雲關。」喝一喝,下座。
J27nB193_p0227c09上堂。問:「如何是賓中主?」師云:「歷歷有可據。」「如何是主J27nB193_p0227c10中賓?」師云:「攜杖探西鄰。」「如何是賓中賓?」師云:「青山之J27nB193_p0227c11外起煙塵。」「如何是主中主?」師拈拄杖,僧禮拜。師云:「賓J27nB193_p0227c12主在那裏去了?」僧喝,師便打。乃云:「諸方談禪說道,黃J27nB193_p0227c13檗苦口叮嚀,不得如何若何,自然海晏河清。切忌死J27nB193_p0227c14水裏浸殺,那堪浩渺處追尋。且總不與麼,畢竟作麼J27nB193_p0227c15生?曹溪波浪如相似,無限平人被陸沉。」復舉:「古德云:J27nB193_p0227c16『汝有拄杖子,我與汝拄杖子。汝無拄杖子,我奪卻汝J27nB193_p0227c17拄杖子。』既有拄杖子,要他作甚麼?既無拄杖子,又作J27nB193_p0227c18麼生奪?若端的得去,一任丹霄獨步,天下橫行。然猶J27nB193_p0227c19未也,且聽山僧註腳。若不同床睡,焉知被裏穿。頌云:J27nB193_p0227c20沒來繇,沒來繇,白雲舒卷碧峰頭。有意氣時添意氣,J27nB193_p0227c21不風流處卻風流。」卓拄杖,下座。
J27nB193_p0227c22春日上堂。俊初居士問:「如何是春?」師云:「一枝突出粉J27nB193_p0227c23墻頭。」進云:「如何是無影樹上一枝花?」師拈拄杖云:「是J27nB193_p0227c24第幾枝?」士提坐具云:「恁麼則某甲提將去也。」師云:「少J27nB193_p0227c25賣弄。」乃云:「山堂兀坐無聊,錯把虛空亂敲。且喜孟春J27nB193_p0227c26信到,忽然瓦解冰消。輥出一團和氣,放開兩岸逍遙,J27nB193_p0227c27踏翠佳人賣弄春色,風流和尚不打自招。大眾!且道J27nB193_p0227c28招箇甚麼?」良久云:「渾身在裏許,三十年後敢保有人J27nB193_p0227c29證據。」下座。
J27nB193_p0227c30元旦上堂。祝聖畢,乃云:「佛祖家風舊,人間歲月新,擊J27nB193_p0228a01碎蟠桃核,露出舊時仁。唯此一事實,餘二則非真。所J27nB193_p0228a02以道:一處真,處處真,塵塵盡是本來人。真實說時聲J27nB193_p0228a03不現,覿面堂堂沒卻身。且道覿面堂堂為甚麼沒卻J27nB193_p0228a04身?有人道得,山僧拄杖子兩手分付。」僧云:「秪為分明J27nB193_p0228a05極。」師云:「不親切。自道去也。能隨萬物變,不逐四時新。J27nB193_p0228a06拈起也,宇宙風光,森羅顯煥;放下也,家國安怗,河海J27nB193_p0228a07晏清。不拈不放,畢竟如何?道泰不傳天子令,時清休J27nB193_p0228a08唱太平歌。」下座。
J27nB193_p0228a09解制上堂。問:「雲水盡從今日去,重樓傑閣鎖何人?」師J27nB193_p0228a10云:「無毛鷂子潑天飛。」進云:「某甲卻不與麼道。」師云:「汝J27nB193_p0228a11作麼生?」僧云:「瞎。」師便打,乃云:「打破琉璃殼,迸出鳳凰J27nB193_p0228a12兒,遍體彰文彩,何天不可飛。堪嘆赤尾梢,淹人虀甕J27nB193_p0228a13裏。臨濟白拈賊,至今思未已。眾兄弟到來黃檗山中,J27nB193_p0228a14眉毛廝結,鼻孔相拄,還曾迸出一回也未?如迸出,羅J27nB193_p0228a15籠不肯住,呼喚不回頭。七通八達,東去西去,縱橫無J27nB193_p0228a16礙,殺活自繇。吾家種草猶來別,到處逢人驀面欺。更J27nB193_p0228a17須知有轉身一路始得。如何是轉身一路?汝行荒草J27nB193_p0228a18裏,我又入深村。」下座。
J27nB193_p0228a19開藏,檀越請上堂。師豎拂云:「三藏十二部,一切修多J27nB193_p0228a20羅,總在這裏流出。且道這裏從甚麼處流出?脫若會J27nB193_p0228a21去,翻藏已竟,J27nB193_p0228a22皇恩祖德一時酬畢。若猶未然,山僧向第二門頭展J27nB193_p0228a23演去也。大聖無名,美流萬世,大功不宰,勳業湛然。所J27nB193_p0228a24以大人具大見,大智得大用,一言含萬有,一句逗群J27nB193_p0228a25機。廣羅法界以無遺,細入微塵而靡間,生民共沐恩J27nB193_p0228a26光,草野均沾利樂,浩浩蕩蕩,民莫名焉。茲逢吉日良J27nB193_p0228a27晨,慶雲繚繞,有大檀那,運普利心,命山僧登臨此座,J27nB193_p0228a28開大寶藏,敷演真乘,言言見諦,句句朝宗,杲日昭回,J27nB193_p0228a29山川顯煥中天祖,丹心畢露,葉相國洪護儼然。了二J27nB193_p0228a30十年前,未了之公案;翻五千餘卷,爛熳之葛藤。以酬J27nB193_p0228b01祖德,用報J27nB193_p0228b02皇恩。且道正當此際,如何著力?等閑舒出娘生手,撥J27nB193_p0228b03轉如來正法輪。」下座。
J27nB193_p0228b04重興黃檗,送諸化士,上堂。云:「龍樓寶閣半傾欹,搖拽J27nB193_p0228b05雲中能幾時?特地掀翻重鼎建,大家出手要撐持。急J27nB193_p0228b06著力,莫遲疑,事難方表丈夫兒。拈來莖草千金重,不J27nB193_p0228b07是苦心人不知。」呈拄杖云:「會麼?蓋覆乾坤只這箇,頂J27nB193_p0228b08天立地更繇誰?」下座。
J27nB193_p0228b09清明上堂。問:「突出眼睛看,滿目盡般若。和尚上堂,以J27nB193_p0228b10何相為?」師拈拄杖云:「會麼?」進云:「恁麼則控佛祖大機,J27nB193_p0228b11廓人天正眼。」師云:「閒言語。」僧豎拳云:「將此報答和尚J27nB193_p0228b12深恩去也。」師云:「不知羞。」乃云:「杜宇喚聲聲,歸家罷問J27nB193_p0228b13程,殘雲消散盡,突出數峰青。若向箇裏定奪得去,頭J27nB193_p0228b14頭布露、物物現成,何待山僧開兩片皮、掉三寸舌,說J27nB193_p0228b15青道黃,而後為得哉?然雖如是,且即今應時應節一J27nB193_p0228b16句作麼生道?荒草堆邊明歷歷,棺材頭哭有親兒。」下J27nB193_p0228b17座。
J27nB193_p0228b18佛誕日,恬生林居士等,為縣主凌公祝讚請上堂。問:J27nB193_p0228b19「曇花自天降,偉人此日生,為瑞為祥即不問,如何是J27nB193_p0228b20不即不離?」師良久云:「會麼?」進云:「恁麼則當陽普露,遍J27nB193_p0228b21界全彰去也。」師云:「如何是當陽意?」僧頓足,師打云:「亂J27nB193_p0228b22發作麼?」問:「九龍方吐水,萬象盡聞香,降誕右脅下,求J27nB193_p0228b23師大闡揚。」師云:「銀蟾初出海,何處不分明?」乃云:「性海J27nB193_p0228b24波澄,光吞群象,桂輪孤朗,影現娑婆。經云:『應以宰官J27nB193_p0228b25身得度者,即現宰官身而為說法;應以菩薩身得度J27nB193_p0228b26者,即現菩薩身而為說法。』茲乃J27nB193_p0228b27文佛降生之日,正是賢侯華誕之晨,且道現甚麼身J27nB193_p0228b28而為說法?」遂豎拂子云:「會麼?一點水墨,兩處成龍;五J27nB193_p0228b29日一雨,十日一風,德澤溢乎四海,仁壽卓立千峰。若J27nB193_p0228b30論衲僧向上一著,未離兜率猶較些子,突出娘胎堪J27nB193_p0228c01作甚麼?那更一手指天,一手指地,口喃喃道箇天上J27nB193_p0228c02天下,唯吾獨尊,敗露不少。怪道雲門一棒打殺餵狗J27nB193_p0228c03子喫,貴圖天下太平。雲門雖握閫外威權,未免渾身J27nB193_p0228c04泥水。到黃檗門下,一點也用不著。且黃檗尋常用箇J27nB193_p0228c05甚麼?只有一雙窮相手,未曾低揖等閑人。」復說偈云:J27nB193_p0228c06「拋家散業已多年,偶爾歸山業又牽。秪恐龍樓煙鎖J27nB193_p0228c07盡,空餘一竅對青天。」下座。
J27nB193_p0228c08端午上堂。問:「今日正是五月五,聖人出世萬物睹,信J27nB193_p0228c09手拈來百草頭,甜者甜兮苦者苦。甜苦即不問,如何J27nB193_p0228c10是一莖草?」師豎拄杖。進云:「三世諸佛被這一莖瞎卻J27nB193_p0228c11眼睛了也。」師云:「獨瞎汝不得。」僧拂坐具云:「楖栗橫擔J27nB193_p0228c12不顧入,直入千峰萬峰去。」師云:「不須門外畫蜘蛛。」乃J27nB193_p0228c13云:「今朝五月端陽,人間安樂節屆;黃檗長老顢頇,問J27nB193_p0228c14著不打便罵。惹得一隊閑神野鬼,三頭六臂,努目叱J27nB193_p0228c15吒。正當此時,如何驅遣?」以拂子向空點云:「秪此一點,J27nB193_p0228c16遍行天下,赤口白舌,消除百怪,千妖遁化。」擲拂子云:J27nB193_p0228c17「於今擲向堂前,一任諸人酬價。解酬價,拈來放去無J27nB193_p0228c18縫罅。倘未能,不如收拾歸去來,免落諸方成話杷。」下J27nB193_p0228c19座。
J27nB193_p0228c20解夏上堂。師舉:「洞山解夏云:『夏末秋初,兄弟家東去J27nB193_p0228c21西去,須向萬里無寸草處去。』良久云:『秪如萬里無寸J27nB193_p0228c22草,又作麼去?』」師云:「蒼天蒼天。石霜云:『出門便是草。』」師J27nB193_p0228c23云:「蒼天蒼天。明安道:『直得不出門,亦是草漫漫地。』」師J27nB193_p0228c24云:「蒼天蒼天。諸兄弟!古人與麼提持,山僧與麼著語,J27nB193_p0228c25畢竟意旨如何?倘若會去,對眾吐露看。吐露得出,歷J27nB193_p0228c26劫宗親當下超拔,現前海眾即時解脫。山僧有箇護J27nB193_p0228c27身符子,與汝東去西去。脫若未然,不得動著,動著打J27nB193_p0228c28折汝驢腰。」有僧便喝,師云:「蒼天蒼天。」復云:「金風體露,J27nB193_p0228c29萬木凋殘。行腳高人,急著眼看。明月灘頭休著腳,蘆J27nB193_p0228c30花影裏出頭難。諸兄弟!畢竟向甚麼處去?」驀拈拄杖J27nB193_p0229a01卓一卓云:「且把一聲歸去笛,夜深吹過汨羅灣。」下座。
J27nB193_p0229a02求懺悔請上堂。師舉:「僧問雲門:『殺父殺母,佛前懺悔。J27nB193_p0229a03殺佛殺祖,向甚麼處懺悔?』門云:『露。』」師云:「雲門道露,日J27nB193_p0229a04輪當午,趁隊瞎驢,不知其數。脫有問山僧:『殺佛殺祖,J27nB193_p0229a05甚麼處求懺悔?』向他道:『收。』」復云:「著甚來繇?諸禪德!試J27nB193_p0229a06定奪看。若定奪得出,身口意業,瓦解冰消,智慧德相,J27nB193_p0229a07脫體圓明。若定奪不得,山僧一發抖擻屎腸與汝說J27nB193_p0229a08破。雲門解放,黃檗能收;一挨一拶,徹骨風流。擬議將J27nB193_p0229a09來,休休休休!還有一句又作麼生?待君時節至,各各J27nB193_p0229a10自昂頭。」下座。
J27nB193_p0229a11結制上堂。問:「九旬禁足,三月護生。未審護箇甚麼生?」J27nB193_p0229a12師云:「案山點頭向汝道。」進云:「護生須是殺,殺盡始安J27nB193_p0229a13居。未審殺箇甚麼生?」師打云:「殺汝一箇。」進云:「恁麼則J27nB193_p0229a14泥牛撞入海,波斯沒處藏也。」師連棒打退。問:「今日結J27nB193_p0229a15制之期,請問和尚離情絕見一句作麼生道?」師翹腳J27nB193_p0229a16示之。進云:「恁麼則石人舞掌笑呵呵去也。」師便打。問:J27nB193_p0229a17「和尚上堂,鐘聲鼓響。鐘鼓響後,聲落何處?」師云:「山僧J27nB193_p0229a18耳聾。」乃豎拂子云:「三世諸佛、歷代祖師、天下老和尚,J27nB193_p0229a19都向山僧拂子頭上結制,猶如寶網交羅,互攝互入。J27nB193_p0229a20雖然如是,更有一人呵呵大笑。且道笑個甚麼?若人J27nB193_p0229a21拂袖便行,敢保坐斷報化佛頭,掀翻是非窠臼,日消J27nB193_p0229a22萬兩黃金不為分外。脫或躊躇,未免作死馬醫。十方J27nB193_p0229a23高人聚會,正值聖制之日。黃檗不循舊例,貴在單刀J27nB193_p0229a24直入,磕碎露柱燈籠,打翻銀山鐵壁,安南塞北並收,J27nB193_p0229a25萬境千機頓息。得到與麼田地,速來方丈通箇消息。」J27nB193_p0229a26喝一喝云:「也是糊餅裏捏汁。」下座。
J27nB193_p0229a27上堂。問:「不落凡聖二邊,不落有無諸數。正當恁麼時,J27nB193_p0229a28獨脫一句作麼生道?」師云:「截斷舌頭。」進云:「恁麼則行J27nB193_p0229a29行草裏,步步深村。」師云:「如何是步步深村?」僧一喝,師J27nB193_p0229a30云:「未夢見在。」乃云:「十五日以前,山僧頂門在汝腳跟J27nB193_p0229b01下。十五日以後,汝等諸人鼻孔在山僧輪掌中。正當J27nB193_p0229b02十五日,人人面門光,個個鬍鬚赤,風急幡呼嚕,雨來J27nB193_p0229b03簷滴歷。汝有八兩,還汝半觔;汝有一丈,還汝十尺。且J27nB193_p0229b04道總不與麼來時,如何相見?瞎子逢盲人,兩兩不相J27nB193_p0229b05識。雖然如是,好與伊三十楖栗。何故?打開頂門正眼,J27nB193_p0229b06迸出青天白日。」下座。
J27nB193_p0229b07冬至上堂。問:「冬至一陽春已發,石頭土塊盡翻身則J27nB193_p0229b08且置,冬未至、春未發一句,請和尚道。」師云:「山僧亦不J27nB193_p0229b09知。」僧一喝,師云:「著忙作麼?」僧擬議,師打云:「話頭也不J27nB193_p0229b10識。」問:「和尚道:『一線陽春曲,繇來和者稀。』今日與和尚J27nB193_p0229b11慶賀去也。」師云:「山僧無喜亦無憂,賀箇甚麼?」僧禮拜J27nB193_p0229b12云:「恁麼則普禮去也。」師云:「弄泥團漢。」乃云:「把住洪鈞,J27nB193_p0229b13驪龍頷下明月珠,分文不值;放開線道,糞埽堆頭破J27nB193_p0229b14苕帚,價倍千金。不是壓良為賤,亦非補短截長。若是J27nB193_p0229b15吾家種草,便知這箇來脈。脫或弄泥團漢,切莫接響J27nB193_p0229b16承虛。且道不把不放,畢竟如何?日南長至,勘破張三J27nB193_p0229b17李四,有利無利,不離行市。」以拄杖卓一卓,云:「吾無隱J27nB193_p0229b18乎爾。」下座。
J27nB193_p0229b19僧純如請上堂。問:「如何是佛?」師云:「圓陀陀。」「如何是法?」J27nB193_p0229b20師云:「活潑潑。」「如何是僧?」師云:「任騰騰。」進云:「佛法僧蒙J27nB193_p0229b21師指示。如何是衲僧分上事?」師打云:「且道是甚麼事?」J27nB193_p0229b22僧擬拜,師又打,乃云:「臘月一,好消息,雪襯梅花太浪J27nB193_p0229b23籍,大地渾成銀世界,摩訶般若波羅蜜。一亙晴空,普J27nB193_p0229b24賢賣俏;千機頓現,妙德風騷。黃面老子,寶花臺上爛J27nB193_p0229b25翻葛藤;碧眼胡僧,荊棘林中斬釘截鐵。看來這一隊J27nB193_p0229b26老凍儂,胡言漢語惑亂天下人,不為不少。且喜今日J27nB193_p0229b27築遇寒風,輥作一團,不分皂白。大眾還有為他雪屈J27nB193_p0229b28者麼?」眾無語。師云:「識得純如真境界,分明一塊玉乾J27nB193_p0229b29坤。」下座。
J27nB193_p0229b30臘八上堂。問:「年年此日臘月八,盡說釋迦悟奇特。奇J27nB193_p0229c01特即不問,如何是星前的意?」師云:「早晨下雨。」進云:「元J27nB193_p0229c02來是這賊。」師云:「曾打濕眉毛也未?」僧一喝,師云:「拖出J27nB193_p0229c03晒朗去。」僧又喝,師連棒打退,乃云:「雪花堆裏密追尋,J27nB193_p0229c04滴水冰生未為真,一刺明星雙眼脫,大千無處可藏J27nB193_p0229c05身。若會得山僧頌的意旨,便明釋迦老子睹星悟的J27nB193_p0229c06時節。既明釋迦老子悟的時節,便知自己上與三世J27nB193_p0229c07諸佛共一鼻孔出氣,下與五道眾生同一體現,遠與J27nB193_p0229c08恒沙世界若凡若聖、若僧若俗、若男若女、若草若木、J27nB193_p0229c09大小纖洪,盡是吾人放身命處。所謂一處透脫,百處J27nB193_p0229c10千處該通;一機洞明,千機萬機圓轉。如盤走珠,如珠J27nB193_p0229c11走盤,圓陀陀、活潑潑,出沒舒卷,無可不可。還有不涉J27nB193_p0229c12斯美者,出來與黃檗相見。」僧云:「憐兒不覺醜。」師云:「假J27nB193_p0229c13雞聲韻難謾我,未肯糢糊放過關。」下座。
J27nB193_p0229c14戒子請上堂。問:「聲聲穿鼻孔,句句映眉端。今日被某J27nB193_p0229c15甲看破去也。」師云:「看破箇甚麼?」進云:「少林面壁,眼橫J27nB193_p0229c16鼻直。」師便打,乃云:「眾生受佛戒,即入諸佛位,位同大J27nB193_p0229c17覺已。諸大德!若信得及,通身荷負,覿面承當。正好黃J27nB193_p0229c18檗門下,朝打三千,暮打八百。何故?不合向大覺海裏J27nB193_p0229c19汩沒,無有出身之路。大丈夫漢,直須坐斷報化佛頭,J27nB193_p0229c20掀翻是非窠臼,裂破衲僧巴鼻,返轉本來面目,天人J27nB193_p0229c21讚頌不及,魔外窺覷無門,然後向一毫端上作大佛J27nB193_p0229c22事,廣度有情接佛慧命,方稱丈夫之本懷。諸大德!且J27nB193_p0229c23道承誰恩力,有如是殊勝,有如是奇特?莫怪從前多J27nB193_p0229c24意氣,他家曾謁聖明君。」下座。
