師云:「這箇門中凡有斬不斷的葛藤都向者裏一刀J39nB450_p0485c06兩斷免得左扯右拽傷鋒犯手而帶水拖泥未得根J39nB450_p0485c07所謂十箇五雙依舊當面錯過致使亡家失業甘J39nB450_p0485c08受伶俜山僧所以向本地風光中指出人人腳跟下J39nB450_p0485c09真實受用便見草偃風行渠成水到龍吟雲起虎嘯J39nB450_p0485c10風生直教箇箇歸家穩坐種田博飯本分生涯也未J39nB450_p0485c11免來喫老僧痛棒有分何故歸元性無二方便有多J39nB450_p0485c12。」喝一喝:「珍重。」

有霞宋居士請小參師云:「山不在高有禪則名水不J39nB450_p0485c14在深有龍則靈是知禪也乃三世諸佛說不盡一大J39nB450_p0485c15藏教宣不及通身是口也只道得一半渾身是舌也J39nB450_p0485c16只道得一邊所以勞我黃面老人四十九年分星劈J39nB450_p0485c17橫說豎說不免費盡婆心攛起鐵牛豈教眠於死J39nB450_p0485c18故爾放曠不耕空劫地暮天何用牧歌催只要人J39nB450_p0485c19人當下明白個個向上悟入把這三世諸佛說不盡J39nB450_p0485c20底一腳踏翻一大藏宣不及底一刀截斷免得末後J39nB450_p0485c21拈花猶如羅公照鏡老不識羞何待迦葉破顏正是J39nB450_p0485c22把髻投衙自做冤家不是相罵饒你接嘴相唾饒你J39nB450_p0485c23潑水今日喚作垂鉤下釣明日喚作無事生風只教J39nB450_p0485c24諸人饑來喫飯倦來打眠切莫胡思亂想道不是心J39nB450_p0485c25不是佛不是物淨裸裸絕承當赤灑灑無可把是何J39nB450_p0485c26人分上事便謂禪也不在參道也不在悟不可作他J39nB450_p0485c27這般見解此是黃楊木禪非真參實悟之禪也故曰J39nB450_p0485c28能變化吐風雷者非龍而何是知龍也能大能小J39nB450_p0485c29隱能升大則攫霧挐雲翻江攪海小則埋頭伏爪J39nB450_p0485c30芥藏身隱則伏於秋潭之內升則飛騰宇宙之間J39nB450_p0486a01龍之靈物也所謂三世諸佛因之而轉法輪歷代祖J39nB450_p0486a02師承之而開正眼不但天倚之而蓋地由之而載J39nB450_p0486a03人任之而治萬方清四海君子即之而沛仁澤發正J39nB450_p0486a04諸仁日用而不知者所以悖之而日遠矣今日有J39nB450_p0486a05霞宋居士深信此事特來束山請山僧陞座發揚此J39nB450_p0486a06段光明欲令三世諸佛說也說得一大藏教宣也宣J39nB450_p0486a07得及不滯兩頭不墮中道騰騰任運任運騰騰活鱍J39nB450_p0486a08鱍無拘束圓陀陀無回互臨濟徹之用棒用喝雲門J39nB450_p0486a09悟之說普說露法眼證之指人指物溈仰得之分體J39nB450_p0486a10分用曹洞信之立君立臣在老僧分上又作麼生J39nB450_p0486a11把是非來辯我浮生穿鑿不相干。」喝一喝

小參僧問:「如何是仰之彌高?」師云:「抬頭看。」進云:「如何J39nB450_p0486a13是鑽之彌堅?」師云:「著力看。」進云:「不仰不鑽時如何?」J39nB450_p0486a14:「立地死漢。」僧一喝師云:「又仰鑽也。」:「終日喫飯J39nB450_p0486a15咬一粒終日經行未踏寸地畢竟在什麼處?」師云:「J39nB450_p0486a16面爇瞞。」進云:「還我三十年腳步錢。」師云:「踏破草鞋也J39nB450_p0486a17?」師乃云:「還丹一粒點鐵成金至理一言轉凡成聖J39nB450_p0486a18多言數窮不如守中恍兮惚兮其中有物杳兮冥兮J39nB450_p0486a19其中有靈是還丹者麼到者裏也沒交涉巖頭雪峰J39nB450_p0486a20唱末後句洞山龍牙明殺活機是至理者麼到者裏J39nB450_p0486a21亦沒交涉既沒交涉喚作佛頭上安頭喚作法無繩J39nB450_p0486a22自縛祖師巴鼻是抱贓叫屈向上機關是揚聲止響J39nB450_p0486a23總不恁麼時畢竟如何他家自有通霄路不向時人J39nB450_p0486a24行處行。」

小參僧問:「獅子出窟時如何?」師云:「驚天動地。」進云:「J39nB450_p0486a26出窟時如何?」師云:「誰敢近前?」:「如何是真實供養?」J39nB450_p0486a27:「昔年闍黎。」進云:「末後如何?」師云:「今日老僧。」乃云:「J39nB450_p0486a28卻拄杖頭不打皮下無血性漢結卻布袋口要知箇J39nB450_p0486a29裏攝諸權赤眼撞著火柴頭利害之中更利害冤家J39nB450_p0486a30共聚頭相逢容易得端的為人難不妨頭上更安頭J39nB450_p0486b01須知向上一路千聖到來不傳山僧如此註腳且道J39nB450_p0486b02還有高峰轉身吐氣句也無若有是那句若無老僧J39nB450_p0486b03自道去也者裏無封拄杖頭過河須渡水入海探蛟J39nB450_p0486b04未結布袋頭打開無揀擇一一是家珍且喜赤眼J39nB450_p0486b05撞著火柴頭君行楊柳岸我宿渡沙頭本來無一J39nB450_p0486b06切忌眼生花一任冤家共聚頭團圞共說無生話。」J39nB450_p0486b07喝一喝卓拄杖歸方丈

小參僧問:「山河大地是衲僧巴鼻和尚巴鼻在什麼J39nB450_p0486b09?」師云:「只許闍黎知不許闍黎會。」進云:「蒼天蒼天。」J39nB450_p0486b10:「怨得阿誰?」乃云:「若道有形雖偽棄之則功行難成J39nB450_p0486b11若不明衣線下事未曾親到故鄉田地一旦棄著有J39nB450_p0486b12為功行如無目人不見山河大地一切人物欲登萬J39nB450_p0486b13仞之上求見無邊世界終不能見何也蓋為不曾向J39nB450_p0486b14長連床上喫苦磨煉實在工夫打破向上關捩子J39nB450_p0486b15翻漆桶如何得知本來面目安身立命處也欲望無J39nB450_p0486b16為境界無為雖真擬之則聖果難證不擬之則聖果J39nB450_p0486b17圓明直下了然頓悟如明眼人便見杲日當空照徹J39nB450_p0486b18百千萬億世界不惟窮盡十方如來清淨微塵國土J39nB450_p0486b19如在目前始知心眾生三無差別有何間隔一地J39nB450_p0486b20具足一切地非色非心非行業彈指圓成八萬門J39nB450_p0486b21那滅卻三祗劫正當恁麼時頓超本有一句作麼道J39nB450_p0486b22不假纖毫修學心無相光中大自在。」

小參:「父母未生前如何是我本來面目?」師云:「描不J39nB450_p0486b24畫不就。」師乃云:「一番拈起突出難辨一度直指J39nB450_p0486b25蛇添足若是大用現前不存軌則能殺能活能縱J39nB450_p0486b26不見南泉提起貓兒正是當面錯過趙州頭戴艸J39nB450_p0486b27可憐略較些子所以攪動三江魚龍顯躍掀翻五J39nB450_p0486b28佛祖攢眉擬議思量劈脊便棒轉身吐氣墮坑落J39nB450_p0486b29莫待晴天霹靂旱地雷聲到這裏若立一塵家國J39nB450_p0486b30興盛不立一塵衣錦還鄉諸仁者何不向本地風光J39nB450_p0486c01薦取何故縱橫無礙獨步大方。」卓杖退座

卓爾悅眾生辰請小參僧問:「昔日世尊初生一手指J39nB450_p0486c03一手指地且道有何奇特?」師云:「日出紅似錦。」進云J39nB450_p0486c04恁麼則百花叢裏過片葉不沾身。」師云:「未是神通妙J39nB450_p0486c05。」乃云:「參禪一著了生死頓悟圓明徹自那覺推J39nB450_p0486c06遷日月長分明壽量亦無比大眾會麼卓爾悅眾今J39nB450_p0486c07朝生辰以南山作壽算未足較其高以東海為福量J39nB450_p0486c08不足言其大更於奇特中顯奇特殊勝中倍殊勝J39nB450_p0486c09未稱其盡善盡美若效得那吒太子剖肉還母析骨J39nB450_p0486c10還父然後現其本身為父母說法且道說箇什麼法J39nB450_p0486c11老僧與伊一一指出香水海中為寶筏蓮花世界現J39nB450_p0486c12全身。」喝一喝

小參僧問:「凡有言句落典章如何是向上事?」師打J39nB450_p0486c14:「雨過寒光澹。」:「行棒行喝舊茶飯舉古舉今爛葛J39nB450_p0486c15兩堂雲水作麼生款待?」師打:「猶來爾不薦。」:「J39nB450_p0486c16行芳草偃鳥噪百花香滿天甘露雨普潤得清涼J39nB450_p0486c17是化外事者箇生死關頭即今向什麼處透脫?」師云J39nB450_p0486c18腳跟下薦取。」:「虎以肉為食因甚不噉其子?」師云:「J39nB450_p0486c19親難滅。」乃云:「山中冷淡寂寥寥惟有衲僧苦志高J39nB450_p0486c20道終朝無別事相逢林下把門敲所以道參禪學道J39nB450_p0486c21如敲門瓦子不論有意思無意思逐管敲忽然敲進J39nB450_p0486c22門來擲下瓦子始信生死大事從此了畢方能大休J39nB450_p0486c23大歇到安樂田地不疑即佛即祖與天下老和尚同J39nB450_p0486c24一鼻孔出氣始識千紅萬紫露出本地風光九陌十J39nB450_p0486c25衢享樂無窮受用。」珍重

小參僧問:「向上一路千聖不傳為什麼不傳?」師云:「J39nB450_p0486c27手牽人行不得。」進云:「達磨西來為人心切未審將何J39nB450_p0486c28示人?」師云:「指山鳥飛指水魚行。」進云:「只如盡大地作J39nB450_p0486c29艸木為香拈即是不拈即是?」師云:「看你分疏不下。」J39nB450_p0486c30進云:「棒喝拈向一邊和尚又作麼生?」師即舉起拄杖J39nB450_p0487a01僧作怕勢師云:「不識好惡。」乃云:「浮生天地間天地為J39nB450_p0487a02戲場大夢忽驚人榮華早青松留耳畔白日遊J39nB450_p0487a03山頂脫略乾坤外杖頭行處穩。」:「李聃博云:『吾生何J39nB450_p0487a04以晚泥洹亦何早不見釋迦文心中常懊惱。』據李聃J39nB450_p0487a05博也是傷今感古見賢思齊大似貪觀天上月失卻J39nB450_p0487a06手中珠萬壽正眼看來以為不然或有傍不甘的出J39nB450_p0487a07來問:『吾生何以晚?』即向他道:『先聖後聖其揆一也。』J39nB450_p0487a08若擬議驀頭便棒何故男兒自有翀天志不向他人J39nB450_p0487a09行處行若向者裏會得遠問近對萬世如今直下會J39nB450_p0487a10一見一切見一悟一切悟其或未能鶴有九皋難J39nB450_p0487a11翥翼馬無千里謾追風。」

解制小參。「大眾若向這裏會去從來一鼎而分三足J39nB450_p0487a13一物之中看是甚物勿謂揆出寒灰一火星光燄翀J39nB450_p0487a14天地大約著實理會將來生天生地生人生物四相J39nB450_p0487a15五形八卦萬類都從此處發生若未得莫謂儒曰窮J39nB450_p0487a16理盡性釋曰明心見性道曰修真養性如此說話J39nB450_p0487a17似好肉剜瘡虛空掘洞爾諸人向什麼處會得莫不J39nB450_p0487a18爐中有火休添炭灶下無柴且著薪然後修身齊家J39nB450_p0487a19治國平天下都是這箇消息若恁麼會得正好來喫J39nB450_p0487a20山僧一頓痛棒何故正令已行天下遍將軍閫外絕J39nB450_p0487a21煙塵。」

重陽李居士請小參士問:「九日登高腳跟下事作麼J39nB450_p0487a23?」師打:「一句曲含千古韻。」進云:「看來此調少人知。」J39nB450_p0487a24師云:「萬重青嶂月來初。」士拂袖退師云:「也須頂門上J39nB450_p0487a25著眼。」:「此日重陽節大地菊花開重陽菊花即不問J39nB450_p0487a26大檀越到來作麼生款待?」師云:「和盤托出。」進云:「正是J39nB450_p0487a27天下太平。」師云:「大家讚歎。」師乃云:「重陽九日偶陞堂J39nB450_p0487a28一段真風為舉揚惹得虛空開口笑而今特地共商J39nB450_p0487a29且道商量箇什麼?」驀拈拄杖卓一卓:「惟此一事J39nB450_p0487a30餘二則非真今日李居士特請山僧陞座舉揚宗J39nB450_p0487b01門向上一著豈不超出古人所以道東勝神洲打鼓J39nB450_p0487b02南贍部洲上堂橫說豎說是惟此一事實麼到者裏J39nB450_p0487b03略較些子莫不是十方薄伽梵一路涅槃門?」以拄杖J39nB450_p0487b04劃一劃:「路在者裏是惟此一事實麼到這裏略較J39nB450_p0487b05些子莫不是拄杖子𨁝跳上三十三天觸著帝釋鼻J39nB450_p0487b06東海鯉魚打一棒雨似盆傾此是惟此一事實麼J39nB450_p0487b07到這裏略較些子莫不是臨濟三玄三要八字打開J39nB450_p0487b08曹洞五位君臣一筆判下是惟此一事實麼到這裏J39nB450_p0487b09略較些子。」復拈拄杖卓一卓:「若能於此識得惟此J39nB450_p0487b10一事實便不疑汾陽云三玄三要事難分無一不是J39nB450_p0487b11有什麼難處得意忘言道易親何須頭上安頭一句J39nB450_p0487b12明明該萬象物物淨法身重陽九日菊花新還知一J39nB450_p0487b13事實麼淵明過訪後千古謾傷情。」喝一喝歸方丈

正吾沈居士請普說師云:「此事雖是人人本有個個J39nB450_p0487b16不無蓋因無始劫來塵埋習染將自一段受用拋J39nB450_p0487b17向他方世界竟不有見幾人回頭轉腦向本地風光J39nB450_p0487b18得箇真實安樂所以輪迴六道故有生死於苦海中J39nB450_p0487b19去去來來改頭換面以四大為實以五蘊為堅固J39nB450_p0487b20著世樂無有休息故我佛世尊興大慈悲從兜率天J39nB450_p0487b21降入皇宮以至出胎略露一線於諸人通箇消息J39nB450_p0487b22行七步目顧四方云:『天上天下惟吾獨尊。』此是最初J39nB450_p0487b23一著也然後向伽耶山六年苦行日食一麻一麥J39nB450_p0487b24續慧命是則難行能行難忍能忍至於菩提樹下J39nB450_p0487b25帝釋刈草敷座降伏魔力使諸外道亦能杜口然而J39nB450_p0487b26夜睹明星而心地豁然大悟便歎云:『奇哉奇哉一切J39nB450_p0487b27眾生皆有如來智慧德相但以妄想執著而不能得J39nB450_p0487b28。』此事諸人分上不曾欠少則有時而昏然其本體J39nB450_p0487b29之明是則以似似則未是何也不上高山不顯平地J39nB450_p0487b30只要人人頂門具眼腦後見腮始知圓滿菩提歸無J39nB450_p0487c01所得。《法華經:『惟此一事實餘二則非真。』故於波羅J39nB450_p0487c02奈國鹿野苑中三轉十二法輪直得於他阿若憍陳J39nB450_p0487c03如五百人等於無事上生事無枝上生枝打些夢裏J39nB450_p0487c04葛藤便說頓漸二教故有四果四向十住十行十信J39nB450_p0487c05十回向十聖三賢等覺妙覺皆一大時教隨宜說法J39nB450_p0487c06通而言之不出於三藏十二部之初機也該而括之J39nB450_p0487c07又不過於靈山會上世尊拈花迦葉微笑此時百萬J39nB450_p0487c08人天悉皆罔措故世尊云:『吾有正法眼藏涅槃妙心J39nB450_p0487c09付囑飲光廣令流布無令斷絕。』此是末後一著也J39nB450_p0487c10於西天二十八位老古錐都以本分草料接人並不J39nB450_p0487c11提起三祗鍊性百劫調心只在汝等當下瞥地如冰J39nB450_p0487c12消瓦解似丹鳳沖霄來去自由縱橫無礙千聖呼喚J39nB450_p0487c13不回萬人羅籠不住得大安樂得大自在便是出格J39nB450_p0487c14人物所有一切財寶由汝受用亦不作父想亦不作J39nB450_p0487c15子想從劫至劫了無向背及至東土歷代祖師為人J39nB450_p0487c16赤心片片如臨濟之用喝德山之用棒普化之搖鈴J39nB450_p0487c17秘魔之擎權石鞏之架箭雪峰之輥毬趙州之喫茶J39nB450_p0487c18睦州之擔板曹山之顛酒金牛之香飯雲門之胡餅J39nB450_p0487c19子胡之看狗此皆是發大機顯大用於諸人面前撒J39nB450_p0487c20土拋沙必欲要一箇半箇挺身向前單刀直入不問J39nB450_p0487c21如何若何不是今日如此明日如彼向人口角頭討J39nB450_p0487c22些涕唾喫於他家冊子上記言記句滿滿築了一肚J39nB450_p0487c23謂之得禪得道逢人便弄虛頭究竟躬下事何J39nB450_p0487c24嘗擺脫猶恐生死關捩不破悔何所及豈不聞張拙J39nB450_p0487c25秀才初參石霜霜云:『秀才貴姓?』:『姓張名拙。』霜云:『J39nB450_p0487c26巧了不可得拙自何來?』拙於言下有省便述偈曰:『J39nB450_p0487c27明寂照遍河沙凡聖含靈共我家一念不生全體現J39nB450_p0487c28六根纔動被雲遮斷除妄想重增病趣向真如亦是J39nB450_p0487c29隨順世緣無罣礙涅槃生死總空花。』又不聞陸亙J39nB450_p0487c30大夫一日見南泉便問云:『弟子家中有一瓶內養一J39nB450_p0488a01隻鵝一日鵝長滿瓶欲出鵝不可損我瓶壞我鵝J39nB450_p0488a02問和尚如何得出?』泉放聲叫云:『陸亙大夫。』夫應諾J39nB450_p0488a03:『鵝出瓶矣。』大夫從此悟入復不聞龐蘊居士初見J39nB450_p0488a04馬祖便問云:『不與萬法為侶者是什麼人?』祖云:『待汝J39nB450_p0488a05一口吸盡西江水便向汝道。』蘊從茲開豁遂呈偈云J39nB450_p0488a06有男不婚有女不嫁大家團圞頭共說無生話。』此便J39nB450_p0488a07是汝在家人實為生死不辭勞苦參見善知識發明J39nB450_p0488a08大事得入湛然心體於六根門頭放光動地便見本J39nB450_p0488a09來面目在聖不增處凡不減即煩惱而得菩提即散J39nB450_p0488a10亂而證真如到者裏山河大地從此發生日月星辰J39nB450_p0488a11從此運轉森羅萬象從茲出現四生六道從茲長養J39nB450_p0488a12故曰在天而天在人而人在君為君在臣為臣在父J39nB450_p0488a13為父在子是子在夫婦乃夫婦在昆朋作昆朋在道J39nB450_p0488a14德成道德在仁義成仁義在禮智信以禮智信在蠻J39nB450_p0488a15貊邦以蠻貊邦故不移易一系毫不隔別一軌則也J39nB450_p0488a16老子曰:『上士聞道勤而行之中士聞道若存若忘J39nB450_p0488a17士聞道大笑之不笑。』仲尼曰:『見善如不及見不善如J39nB450_p0488a18探湯。』然則三教聖人一出頭來總是要人克復禮J39nB450_p0488a19始得腳跟點地鼻孔遼天不是倚墻傍戶鑽人故紙J39nB450_p0488a20下筆成文寫得攢花簇錦如水月文章終無靠實J39nB450_p0488a21至臨命終時手忙腳亂作不得主張便道聖賢門路J39nB450_p0488a22也無好處蓋為不曾親履實踐所謂差之毫釐失之J39nB450_p0488a23千里故我本師和尚不捨一塵而轉大法輪不取一J39nB450_p0488a24毛端而現諸佛國土單單直以一味棒喝接物利生J39nB450_p0488a25斷除學人命根掃盡凡聖知見仍立燄冶紅爐使十J39nB450_p0488a26方來者都向此中千鎔百煉箇箇銅頭鐵額如龍若J39nB450_p0488a27目機銖兩一聞千悟得大總持得大辯才豈是以J39nB450_p0488a28盲修瞎作鬼窟活計觀心住靜念佛往生而當生平J39nB450_p0488a29大事者乎故六祖曰:『東方人造罪念佛往西方西方J39nB450_p0488a30人造罪念佛求生何國迷人不了自心所以願東願J39nB450_p0488b01西悟人在處一般隨其心淨則佛土淨。』經云:『隨所住J39nB450_p0488b02處常安樂。』此則山僧露頭露面吐心吐膽與你諸人J39nB450_p0488b03道出莫向死句下求必須活句下會永劫不忘是以J39nB450_p0488b04向上一路千聖不傳盡在十二時中穿衣喫飯處J39nB450_p0488b05賓待客處一怒一笑處一行一坐處屙屎放尿處J39nB450_p0488b06子弄孫處語默動靜處修身齊家處無不承此這箇J39nB450_p0488b07威力恩光應機施設逢緣了達若曰雲淡佇出沒太J39nB450_p0488b08虛之心青蘿夤緣直上寒松之頂如斯薦得百千法J39nB450_p0488b09門不離方寸河沙妙德總在心源其或未然各人照J39nB450_p0488b10顧自家眉毛切莫向沉潭死水裏浸殺必欲在洪波J39nB450_p0488b11浩渺白浪滔天處安身立命作箇神通遊戲三昧J39nB450_p0488b12也得不說也得豈肯教人二十年苦參話頭如守株J39nB450_p0488b13待兔漁父棲巢者哉大眾勿勞久立珍重。」

示眾:「一番茶話絕疑猜只為諸人眼未開一口西J39nB450_p0488c13江都吸盡何須臨濟喝如雷若也薦得當陽拋出J39nB450_p0488c14佛從來共知覿面相逢見聞向此不隔一切眾生本J39nB450_p0488c15千聖無以等階赤灑灑了然直下承當淨裸裸J39nB450_p0488c16裏更無回互會得即天上人間撥著便冰消瓦解J39nB450_p0488c17其未能曉月飛來千樹裏山河猶隔數峰西。」

道永周總戎護法請茶話師云:「一番拈出一番新J39nB450_p0489a08度用來一度親今夜飽飧無剩物人人喫著甚奇珍J39nB450_p0489a09且道那裏是甚奇珍處?」以果舉示云:「大眾於斯明得J39nB450_p0489a10便知周大護法人山設茶請山僧說茶話的落處J39nB450_p0489a11斯未明老僧向本分話中聊通一線以奉竭誠自道J39nB450_p0489a12去也若是有福之人修福若大海之納百川而長長J39nB450_p0489a13不斷如是以善之人修善如高山之通萬壑而巍巍J39nB450_p0489a14更增不惟積功勛於桂子蘭孫以為改換門庭光宗J39nB450_p0489a15耀祖然雖如是未免與諸人通箇消息昔日洞山問J39nB450_p0489a16一僧:『世間何物最苦?』僧云:『三途地獄最苦。』山云:『不然J39nB450_p0489a17若不明此衣線下一段大事是名最苦。』拈云洞山老J39nB450_p0489a18漢只知推物為本不知元本故物致令此僧只見其J39nB450_p0489a19不見其樂若在老僧門下好與劈脊便棒使他通J39nB450_p0489a20身快活脫卻鶻臭布衫不見頌云三途地獄有多般J39nB450_p0489a21鐵柱銅床未足酸珍重古人親切語袈裟之下莫顢J39nB450_p0489a22若能透徹此案便是閻羅老子殿前一本赦書J39nB450_p0489a23雖如是且道老僧是肯伊耶不肯伊耶速道速道。」J39nB450_p0489a24無對師拽拄杖歸方丈
