J33nB280_p0277b02 J33nB280_p0277b03小參。掉拂子,云:「古人道:『道不虛行,遇緣則應;理無二J33nB280_p0277b04致,去住因時。』昔四祖補衲此山,後人因成叢社,去去J33nB280_p0277b05實不去。今日山僧承眾護法之請,曳杖到來,來來實J33nB280_p0277b06不來。」拈拄杖,卓一下,云:「久參上士,便合乘時;困濼止J33nB280_p0277b07魚,徒勞激浪。」
J33nB280_p0277b08結制,小參。按拄杖,云:「未結制前,一任諸人橫衝直撞,J33nB280_p0277b09東去西來;既結制後,把斷要津,不通消息。而今正在J33nB280_p0277b10已結、未結之間,汝等諸人并十方凡聖、草木叢林命J33nB280_p0277b11如懸絲,俱在山僧手裏,還有出得者麼?」僧問:「祖令初J33nB280_p0277b12行,續四祖千年遺唱,即今座下誰是知音?」師云:「無眼、J33nB280_p0277b13耳、鼻、舌、身、意者。」進云:「恁麼則一音演暢,眾德攸聞去J33nB280_p0277b14也。」師云:「聞底事作麼生?」進云:「今古迥超圓智體,滿筵J33nB280_p0277b15目擊更無私。」師云:「閑言語。」進云:「和尚把關大煞。」師云:J33nB280_p0277b16「三十棒且待別時。」問:「向上關捩,千聖不傳,一涉言詮,J33nB280_p0277b17便落遮畔。如何是那畔底消息?」師云:「你在遮畔多少J33nB280_p0277b18時也?」進云:「今朝覿面無私。」師云:「猶隔一重山。」僧便喝,J33nB280_p0277b19師打,云:「還要強作主宰在。」乃云:「覿面全提,向上向下,J33nB280_p0277b20遮畔那畔,無相無名。恁麼見解,是諸方普請會底,菩J33nB280_p0277b21提門下許伊擔屎有分。且道菩提有什麼長處便恁J33nB280_p0277b22麼道?蓋為諸人未達其源,一向在陰界中學得一堆J33nB280_p0277b23一擔,蘊在八識田中,將古人竭力為人處,不是渾圇J33nB280_p0277b24吞棗,便邪知謬解、妄用妄談,迷惑無知,害豈有極?山J33nB280_p0277b25僧遮裏並無些子佛法玄妙,為汝諸人亦不會攢華J33nB280_p0277b26簇錦、四六文章、語句尖新、逞奇弄巧。汝等若要學遮J33nB280_p0277b27些,卻請諸方去。山僧者裏只是論實不論虛,今當結J33nB280_p0277b28制之始,與你們約法三章:第一、不得按牛喫草;第二、J33nB280_p0277b29不得竿木逢場;第三、不得穩坐平地,透脫三重關,直J33nB280_p0277b30得胸次中空裸裸地,然後向遮裏看箇話頭,開口也J33nB280_p0277c01打、不開口也打,不得向意根下卜度、不得向舉起處J33nB280_p0277c02承當、不得坐在無事甲裏、不得乍寒乍熱,忽朝桶底J33nB280_p0277c03打穿,管取呵呵大笑。且道笑箇什麼?」喝一喝。
J33nB280_p0277c04小參。「今朝六月初十日,禪人設齋請小參。雨聲徹骨J33nB280_p0277c05分明說,何必山僧強指南?且道:說底是世法?是佛法?J33nB280_p0277c06有等麤心漢子便謂:即世法便是佛法。又如何是你J33nB280_p0277c07即底世法聻?世法不明,佛法太遠在。還會麼?不是僧J33nB280_p0277c08繇手,徒說會丹青。」喝一喝。復舉:「長沙岑大蟲云:『我若J33nB280_p0277c09一向舉揚宗教,法堂前艸深一丈,倩人看院始得。』如J33nB280_p0277c10斯舉唱,未當宗乘。若是山僧則不然,盡大地無寸土J33nB280_p0277c11時,更須喫我三十棒。何以故?聲鯨吞海水,盡露出珊J33nB280_p0277c12瑚枝。」擊香几,下座。
J33nB280_p0277c13師誕日生癤子小參。師云:「今日乃是山僧母難之辰,J33nB280_p0277c14多承眾護法得得遠來為祝生日,且道山僧果是今J33nB280_p0277c15日生耶?不是今日生耶?若道山僧是今日生,即山河J33nB280_p0277c16大地、情與無情無不是今日生。還知麼?如或未然,更J33nB280_p0277c17為說箇樣子、指箇路徑去也。山僧近日遍身生癤,痛J33nB280_p0277c18得不奈何,汝等諸人還知有遮箇消息也無?蓋山僧J33nB280_p0277c19痛即是汝等諸人痛,汝等諸人痛即是十方諸佛痛,J33nB280_p0277c20十方諸佛痛即是一切若聖若凡、山河大地、明暗色J33nB280_p0277c21空底痛,明暗色空等痛即是現前香爐燈燭痛。若向J33nB280_p0277c22遮裏透脫得去,便可向生死海中謾神嚇鬼,指聖為J33nB280_p0277c23凡、變凡作聖,南山起雲、北山下雨。若然不會,即山僧J33nB280_p0277c24痛不是諸人痛,諸人痛不是山河大地痛,山河大地J33nB280_p0277c25痛不是香爐燈燭痛,東西南北各住各位,雖然與我J33nB280_p0277c26同條生,畢竟不與我同條死。」乃顧大眾云:「還會麼?如J33nB280_p0277c27或不然,更示一頌:山河大地同生日,情與無情一體J33nB280_p0277c28融,幾度醉歸明月夜,笙歌引出畫堂中。」喝一喝。
J33nB280_p0277c29小參。「水牯牛作麼生?」眾無語,師云:「開口也打,不開口J33nB280_p0277c30也打。」良久,喝一喝,云:「奼女已歸霄漢去,獃即猶向火J33nB280_p0278a01邊棲。」
J33nB280_p0278a02小參。「結制二十日了也,觀音菩薩作麼生?」良久,云:「直J33nB280_p0278a03饒你道得觀音,我更問你文殊、普賢在。」眾無語,師云:J33nB280_p0278a04「觀音見你不會,騎箇驢子走向諸人鼻孔裏去也,你J33nB280_p0278a05們還在遮裏等箇什麼?」良久,驀豎竹篦召大眾,眾舉J33nB280_p0278a06首,師震聲一喝,擊卓一下,眾禮拜而出。溟鑑趨入,師J33nB280_p0278a07云:「山僧布箇漫天網子,他們都落在裏許,秪有你一J33nB280_p0278a08人漏網,如今又撞入來。」鑑禮拜,師舉前話,鑑擬對,師J33nB280_p0278a09便打,云:「如今是什麼時節?你出頭來。」鑑無對,師以竹J33nB280_p0278a10篦豎起,云:「斜陽欲落未落處,盡是離人今古愁。」鑑禮J33nB280_p0278a11拜。
J33nB280_p0278a12小參。卓拄杖,云:「風揭門簾,月臨戶牖,衲被蒙頭打坐,J33nB280_p0278a13蒲團香板分明。寂寂忘緣,不與諸塵作對;冷冷照用,J33nB280_p0278a14豈沉空默邪途?三玄收不得,四句豈能該?迥出威音J33nB280_p0278a15那畔,全彰今事門頭。且金不博金、水不洗水一句作J33nB280_p0278a16麼生道?」良久,云:「袖裏金鎚光燦爛,吹毛寶劍逼人寒。」
J33nB280_p0278a17小參。僧問:「如何是覿面全提?」師便打,僧禮拜,云:「謝師J33nB280_p0278a18指示。」師又打,云:「者一棒又作麼生?」良久,云:「二時粥飯,J33nB280_p0278a19齋堂裏與你們同餐;五日一參,又何須僧堂內相見?J33nB280_p0278a20齋堂同餐且不問你,作麼生是僧堂相見底事?」眾無J33nB280_p0278a21對。師復舉雪峰鱉鼻蛇因緣竟,乃云:「你看他屋裏人J33nB280_p0278a22說屋裏話,各各有出身之路,諸人還知落處麼?如今J33nB280_p0278a23菩提堂裏也有一條。」乃擲下拄杖,云:「看,看。」良久,云:「盡J33nB280_p0278a24是喪身失命漢。」喝一喝,便入方丈。
J33nB280_p0278a25小參。「結制五十日了也,汝等身在堂中,卻不知堂中J33nB280_p0278a26事,山僧為汝點破。」拈拄杖,指觀音、地藏聖像,云:「觀音J33nB280_p0278a27失卻寶冠,地藏戴箇帽子,唯有毘盧世尊,長年秪是J33nB280_p0278a28如此。通身赤灑無依,也要擎拳豎指,今朝舉似諸人J33nB280_p0278a29各自且依資次。依資次,有何事?寒爐灰燼五更鐘,無J33nB280_p0278a30位真人憂且喜。」卓拄杖一下,云:「三十年來氣蓋天,今J33nB280_p0278b01日無端說道理。」良久,云:「吽!吽!吽!」
J33nB280_p0278b02小參。「適纔聞鼓聲,將謂四來戒子習禮,侍者慌忙來J33nB280_p0278b03報,乃是請山僧小參。即今日尚沒有,參箇甚麼?還會J33nB280_p0278b04麼?久參上士便合乘時,新戒初機重聽分付。」卓拄杖,J33nB280_p0278b05云:「東方來者東方坐,西方來者西方坐,南北上下忒J33nB280_p0278b06分明,大似虛空安耳朵。恁麼說話,是你諸人卜度得J33nB280_p0278b07底。忽然三變淨土時,把東方底移在西方、南方底移J33nB280_p0278b08向北方、移諸天人置於他土,其中眾生不覺不知,汝J33nB280_p0278b09等諸人向那裏棲泊去?」乃卓拄杖,云:「切忌停囚長智。」J33nB280_p0278b10喝一喝。
J33nB280_p0278b11小參。「祖師道:『境緣無好醜,好醜起於心,心若不強各,J33nB280_p0278b12妄情從何起?妄情既不起,真心任遍知。』大小祖師說J33nB280_p0278b13得好道理。」卓拄杖,大笑,云:「汝等諸人見山僧纔與麼J33nB280_p0278b14舉時,正好拈箇屎塊劈口𡎺,還較些子,更要蹋步向J33nB280_p0278b15前問:向上向下函蓋乾坤又如何?玄要料揀又如何?J33nB280_p0278b16熱大不緊。且道山僧恁麼道,意在于何?」卓拄杖,云:「殺J33nB280_p0278b17人須是殺人刀,活人須是活人劍。」
J33nB280_p0278b18小參。「一塵飛而瞖天,一芥墮而覆地,善財童子行一J33nB280_p0278b19步,過不可說不可說佛剎微塵數世界,如是經無數J33nB280_p0278b20劫,猶不能出普賢菩薩一毛孔。汝等諸人在堂中朝J33nB280_p0278b21參、暮參,未審還能出得他毛孔也無?如或不能,山僧J33nB280_p0278b22為汝出卻。」擲拄杖,云:「看!看!走盡天涯無腳跡,鼻頭一J33nB280_p0278b23撥到長安。」喝一喝。
J33nB280_p0278b24小參。「今朝臘月二十五,雲門一曲重新鼓。」卓拄杖,云:J33nB280_p0278b25「驀然突出拄杖頭,甜者甜兮苦者苦,總是一條拄杖,J33nB280_p0278b26為什麼有甜有苦?」問荅竟,乃云:「明明絕覆藏,歷歷無J33nB280_p0278b27回互,回互不回互,三分一尺布。咦!莫太貴麼?」拈拄杖,J33nB280_p0278b28指云:「東單西單,了不相瞞。」
J33nB280_p0278b29除夕,小參。僧問:「殘冬已去,新歲將來,其中事作麼生?」J33nB280_p0278b30師云:「照顧鼻孔。」進云:「還許學人趨向也無?」師云:「擬向J33nB280_p0278c01則乖。」進云:「恁麼則臘盡不須傳爆竹,春回觸處是梅J33nB280_p0278c02華。」師打,云:「驗在目前。」問:「眼前境界則不問,如何是過J33nB280_p0278c03節底事?」師云:「君子無所不用其極。」僧喝,師云:「亂喝作J33nB280_p0278c04麼?」僧擬議,師便打。問:「臘月三十日到來,人人碌碌忙J33nB280_p0278c05忙,和尚有何方便喚醒一切人?」師打,云:「切忌眼中著J33nB280_p0278c06翳。」進云:「恁麼則人人端坐看楊州去也。」師云:「翳眼猶J33nB280_p0278c07存。」進云:「如何是本來正眼?」師云:「瞎。」進云:「多謝指示。」師J33nB280_p0278c08云:「忍屎抵饑腸。」乃云:「一日又一日,一年逗到今宵畢,J33nB280_p0278c09菩提乍住事殊艱,賴爾諸人齊贊助,不打諸方爛葛J33nB280_p0278c10藤,本來自有佳音續。天同關,地同軸,萬象深譚子豈J33nB280_p0278c11不?浩浩清風亙古今,箇中誰敢當頭觸?黧奴白牯暗J33nB280_p0278c12嗟吁,玉兔金烏徒奔逐。報諸人,休碌碌,歲月遷流一J33nB280_p0278c13任閑,直漢從來不受曲。雖然如是,冬去春來了無交J33nB280_p0278c14涉則且置,作麼生是諸人鼻孔聻?」良久,云:「總道不得,J33nB280_p0278c15大家喫茶去也。」
J33nB280_p0278c16小參。「看話頭落在今時,不看話頭落在無記,畢竟如J33nB280_p0278c17何得箇脫灑去?」卓拄杖,云:「齊之以禮。」良久,云:「所以古J33nB280_p0278c18人道:『休得一分心,學得一分佛法。』《楞嚴經》云:『狂心不J33nB280_p0278c19歇,歇即菩提。』恁麼說話,猶是粘牙帶齒。若是山僧則J33nB280_p0278c20不然,無心可歇,無菩提可求,觸著便轉,轆轆地有什J33nB280_p0278c21麼過?」卓拄杖,云:「拄杖子變為龍,𨁝跳上三十三天,興J33nB280_p0278c22雲布雨去也。」喝一喝。
J33nB280_p0278c23小參。舉:「僧問睦州:『如何是展演之言?』州云:『量材補職。』J33nB280_p0278c24『如何是不展演之言?』州云:『伏惟尚饗。』後來大慧杲禪J33nB280_p0278c25師拈云:『睦州古佛恁麼荅話,美則美矣,也只得八成。J33nB280_p0278c26若是徑山則不然,或有人問:「如何是展演之言?」便向J33nB280_p0278c27他道:「問一答百有何妨?」「如何是不展演之言?」喝一喝,J33nB280_p0278c28云:「莫𡱰沸。」』」師云:「二尊宿恁麼答話,大似喫李子,只向J33nB280_p0278c29赤邊咬。若是菩提則不然,有人問:『如何是展演之言?』J33nB280_p0278c30便向他道:『今日正月初十。』『如何是不展演之言?』便云:J33nB280_p0279a01『孟八即漢,又與麼去也。』且道與古人是同?是別?」喝一J33nB280_p0279a02喝。良久,云:「言思路絕,滯在見聞,一句融通,千差洞徹。J33nB280_p0279a03猶如市僚弄丸,彼此無墜,圓𠁼三點,豎徹橫通。」乃連J33nB280_p0279a04卓拄杖云:「一也,三也,圓𠁼三點也,市僚弄丸也。還有J33nB280_p0279a05會弄者麼?試出來弄看。」良久,拈拄杖云:「如無,山僧自J33nB280_p0279a06弄一齣去也。」以拄杖作舞,歸方丈。
J33nB280_p0279a07解制,小參。卓拄杖子:「山僧一冬以來與諸人東語西J33nB280_p0279a08話,究竟全無些子佛法道理,為汝諸人只是把箇金J33nB280_p0279a09剛圈、栗棘蓬拈似汝等。且道:作麼生是金剛圈、栗棘J33nB280_p0279a10蓬聻?只遮開口也打、不開口也打,跳不過時便是金J33nB280_p0279a11剛圈、栗棘蓬了也。還有吞吐得者麼?」良久,云:「非但者J33nB280_p0279a12箇是金剛圈、栗棘蓬,鐘鳴鼓響、風雨陰晴,大眾忙忙、J33nB280_p0279a13檀那資護,人來客往、犬吠雞鳴,無不是金剛圈、栗棘J33nB280_p0279a14蓬底註腳。還會麼?不見雲門道:『盡大地是你諸人一J33nB280_p0279a15箇自己,把缽盂噇飯喫飯是你自己。』好言語,切忌錯J33nB280_p0279a16會。」卓拄杖一下,云:「山僧今日可謂嫂溺援之以手,若J33nB280_p0279a17是箇漢,何須恁麼?」喝一喝。
J33nB280_p0279a18五祖禪堂,小參。拈拄杖,云:「欲識佛性義,當觀時節因J33nB280_p0279a19緣。時節若至,其理自彰。作麼生說箇自彰底道理聻?」J33nB280_p0279a20卓拄杖,云:「還會麼?若向遮裏薦取得去,方知人人與J33nB280_p0279a21祖師同一鼻孔出氣,當體無私,長安任鬧,我國晏然。J33nB280_p0279a22雖然如是,未當宗乘。且作麼生是宗乘中事聻?不見J33nB280_p0279a23昔日五祖大師以衣缽付授六祖已,送至九江,提起J33nB280_p0279a24櫓,云:『我今渡汝。』只遮一句,也有權、也有實,也有照、也J33nB280_p0279a25有用。六祖聞之,恰如火到頭上相似,急急抖拍,道:『迷J33nB280_p0279a26時師度,悟時自度。』你看他如鵝王擇乳,素非鴨類。山J33nB280_p0279a27僧今日為掃祖塔至山,眾勤舊請開示以結般若勝J33nB280_p0279a28緣,山僧實是無法可說,只得將祖師現成公案註解J33nB280_p0279a29一番。且道:與五祖送盧行者時節因緣相去多少?」卓J33nB280_p0279a30拄杖,云:「將此身心奉塵剎,是則名為報佛恩。」喝一喝。
J33nB280_p0279b01小參。舉:「《法華經》云:『諸佛兩足尊,知法常無性,佛種從J33nB280_p0279b02緣起,是故說一乘。』」卓拄杖,云:「遮箇是山僧拄杖子,且J33nB280_p0279b03道是一乘?是二乘?」復卓拄杖,云:「一雨所滋,草木叢林,J33nB280_p0279b04稱其種性,各得增長。」
J33nB280_p0279b05小參。「山僧別無所長,只會喫飯、屙屎,你諸人也會喫J33nB280_p0279b06飯、屙屎。你若要騙山僧,你卻作失本生意;你若怕失J33nB280_p0279b07本,便請與山僧打成一片,那時喚作山僧又是你、喚J33nB280_p0279b08作你又是山僧。你若要作佛,山僧送你一把苕帚、兩J33nB280_p0279b09箇糞箕;你若要作牛,山僧送你一面鏡、一盆水;你若J33nB280_p0279b10總不恁麼,山僧向門背裏冷地好笑;你若恁麼恁麼,J33nB280_p0279b11山僧坐斷你脊梁。雖然如是,還見山僧面孔麼?」卓拄J33nB280_p0279b12杖,喝一喝。
J33nB280_p0279b13小參。「戒壇半月半月羯磨,也只為防心離過。光陰可J33nB280_p0279b14惜,時不待人,步步操存、心心檢察。行時,行時參取;坐J33nB280_p0279b15時,坐時參取。乃至穿衣、喫飯、搬柴、運水,無不是你們J33nB280_p0279b16參底時節。且道參取箇什麼?參取那參取不得底。參J33nB280_p0279b17取不得底如何參取聻?方知參取即無參取、喫飯即J33nB280_p0279b18無喫飯、摘茶即無摘茶、行即無行、坐即無坐、作務即J33nB280_p0279b19無作務,汝等即此身心日用便是箇大解脫場,無亦J33nB280_p0279b20不可得、有亦不可得,也不是聖、也不是凡,不須更問J33nB280_p0279b21如何,各請歸堂穩坐。」
J33nB280_p0279b22小參。「山僧絕口不談佛法,為什麼終日口吧吧地?」眾J33nB280_p0279b23下語不契,師自代云:「口甜心苦。」復云:「風休林自直,雲J33nB280_p0279b24淨月偏明,西來真奧義,滿耳不容聽。且道何故如此?J33nB280_p0279b25胡僧入漢關。」
J33nB280_p0279b26小參。「結制來四十餘日了也,山僧今日為你們拈卻,J33nB280_p0279b27再不可放在堂裏。既不放在堂裏,且道放在什麼處?J33nB280_p0279b28還會麼?」眾無語,師擊竹篦一下。良久,云:「眼若不睡,諸J33nB280_p0279b29夢自除;心若不異,萬法一如。大小祖師可謂不辭泥J33nB280_p0279b30水,點破諸人命脈了也。更道箇歸根得旨,便可洗腳J33nB280_p0279c01上船,無端隨照失宗,依舊穿靴打睡。」眾禮拜。
J33nB280_p0279c02小參。「光陰迅速,歲序遷流,大事未明,如喪考妣。汝等J33nB280_p0279c03還知有光陰常住、歲序不遷者麼?」卓拄杖,云:「快些悟J33nB280_p0279c04去,事同一家,纔涉思惟,流轉不息。」復卓拄杖,顧大眾,J33nB280_p0279c05云:「會麼?杖頭日月絕遷流,六道人天一鑑收,亙古亙J33nB280_p0279c06今無別物,有何玄玅可貪求?」喝一喝。
J33nB280_p0279c07解制,小參。「山僧近來因邪流混雜,羞與為伍,故普說J33nB280_p0279c08已後了不陞堂,擬於解制後便將遠引他行,不意本J33nB280_p0279c09山大眾懇留再三,復以結冬諾之。然在道人分上,有J33nB280_p0279c10甚麼結制、解制之殊,了生脫死之說?今日如是,千百J33nB280_p0279c11萬億劫亦如是,如是之法乃千佛萬佛其由之道也。J33nB280_p0279c12未得如是,也須劄定腳跟,真窮實究一番,二六時中J33nB280_p0279c13靈靈卓卓、峭峭巍巍,五欲八風無罅可入,自然外無J33nB280_p0279c14名相可分、內無心性可守。到恁麼時,忽然向心量不J33nB280_p0279c15及處打破漆桶時,正好來山僧手裏請棒喫。若秪弄J33nB280_p0279c16箇業識癡團,或認得覿面堂堂無是不是底見解,自J33nB280_p0279c17肯自是,一場熱病到來,不是謗參禪無驗,便是恨健J33nB280_p0279c18時因循不曾做得工夫,那時佛也救你不得。莫言不J33nB280_p0279c19道。山僧雖不上堂,然何曾不許你們入室參請?諸人J33nB280_p0279c20因地若真,又何須待山僧鼓兩片皮而後為說法哉?J33nB280_p0279c21森羅萬象,夏去秋來,池透新荷,蟬吟古柏,那一處不J33nB280_p0279c22是為諸人發向上機、說微玅法?諸人試向遮裏體當,J33nB280_p0279c23看遮些絡索著在何處?為從內出?為從外入?為非內J33nB280_p0279c24外?如是體當,當體現前,不即不離,塵塵爾、剎剎爾,十J33nB280_p0279c25方凡聖卷舒同在於剎那,一念色心羅列遍周於法J33nB280_p0279c26界,何須覺城東際始見文殊、樓閣門開方參慈氏?便J33nB280_p0279c27能大中現小、小中現大,撮土成金、變金作土,如斯解J33nB280_p0279c28制,功不浪施。諸人還得恁麼也未?如或未然,莫把身J33nB280_p0279c29心閑處用,光陰似箭急相催。」卓拄杖一下。
J33nB280_p0279c30小參。「古人道:『無明實性即佛性,幻化空身即法身,法J33nB280_p0280a01身覺了無一物,本源自性天真佛。處處真,處處真,塵J33nB280_p0280a02塵俱是本來人。』」卓拄杖,云:「永嘉大師來也。他道:禪和J33nB280_p0280a03子從麻城來,卻帶得有廬山信息,說道:天晴日定出,J33nB280_p0280a04雨下水長流,傾湫倒嶽難抵敵,渾身沒有一毛乾。且J33nB280_p0280a05道:既沒有一毛乾,向什麼處晒㫰聻?」拈拄杖,卓一下,J33nB280_p0280a06云:「常因送客處,記得別家時。」
J33nB280_p0280a07冬至,大雪,小參。「昨日一枯山,今朝千里白,無人粧作J33nB280_p0280a08成,天然現奇特。造化了無功,心意難推測,報汝眾禪J33nB280_p0280a09和,不用更疑惑。」卓拄杖,下座。
J33nB280_p0280a10小參。「山僧昨晚在方丈裏思量:『汝等眾禪和子不是J33nB280_p0280a11坐在黑山鬼窟裏,便是心意猜求,如何得了徹去?』正J33nB280_p0280a12思惟問,忽見舜若多神來白山僧道:『小聖有箇方便,J33nB280_p0280a13能為和尚出力。』山僧道:『你有什麼伎倆?試播弄看。』他J33nB280_p0280a14便颯颯地鼓一陣大風,把紫雲山吹得粉碎,眾禪和J33nB280_p0280a15子無依無倚,叫苦連天,山僧不勝憐笑,不覺替他念J33nB280_p0280a16南無大慈大悲救苦救難觀世音菩薩。觀音聽見,喝J33nB280_p0280a17山僧道:『咄!雲外老官,你偏好管閑事。這些大眾,我從J33nB280_p0280a18大通智勝如來時便教化他發阿耨多羅三藐三菩J33nB280_p0280a19提心,如今都忘卻了,教我也沒奈何。』山僧正要與他J33nB280_p0280a20理論,忽然鼓響鐘鳴,驀地醒來,乃是南柯一夢。呵呵J33nB280_p0280a21大笑,云:『昨夜那裏做夢,今朝遮裏說夢,汝等都來聽J33nB280_p0280a22夢,為復做底是夢?為復說底是夢?為復聽底是夢?』」擲J33nB280_p0280a23下拄杖,云:「山僧一齊為你斫斷了也,今後再不可打J33nB280_p0280a24瞌睡。」眾禮拜。
J33nB280_p0280a25除夕,小參。「古人道:『一年將盡夜,萬里未歸人,直饒便J33nB280_p0280a26歸得,歸得亦無家。』古人恁麼道,也是壓良為賤。若是J33nB280_p0280a27老祖遮裏則不然,爆竹一聲殘臘盡,十方三世頓歸J33nB280_p0280a28家,太平不借功勳定,日日晴窗映晚霞。」喝一喝。
J33nB280_p0280a29解制,小參。僧問:「一期結制已滿,千聖齊立下風,撥轉J33nB280_p0280a30關頭,請師指示。」師云:「大整釣竿橫海上,拋鉤未必愛J33nB280_p0280b01魚吞。」進云:「未到盡驚山嶮峻,曾來方識路高低。」師云:J33nB280_p0280b02「只知開口笑,不覺舌頭長。」進云:「蹋破草鞋無覓處,得J33nB280_p0280b03來全不費工夫。」師便打。居士問:「承和尚有言:『開口也J33nB280_p0280b04打,不開口也打。』秪如未涉言詮,不墮鬼窟底來,和尚J33nB280_p0280b05作麼生打?」師云:「秀才不出門,能知天下事。」進云:「恁麼J33nB280_p0280b06則築著磕著,迴避無門去也。」師云:「蝦跳不出斗。」士擬J33nB280_p0280b07對,師便打。問:「九旬禁足今宵滿,乞師一句振玄音。」師J33nB280_p0280b08云:「喫飯休借他人口。」進云:「前途忽有人問:『和尚如何J33nB280_p0280b09為人?』向他道箇什麼?」師云:「從來往返絕蹤由,行人莫J33nB280_p0280b10問東西路。」進云:「和尚三寸甚密。」師云:「斜陽欲落未落J33nB280_p0280b11處,盡是離人今古愁。」進云:「今日得聞所未聞去也。」師J33nB280_p0280b12打,云:「胡餅覓汁。」乃云:「法門衰替不堪論,種種澆風取J33nB280_p0280b13次生,忍苦護持希志士,誰知空抱悵然情?山僧卑志,J33nB280_p0280b14本欲深棲崖竇,踐履此道,以期不負出家之志而已。J33nB280_p0280b15後因牆壁不牢,為諸法叔并同參兄弟移書勸勉,有J33nB280_p0280b16云:『當今法道危如累卵,不忍見聞,魔黨縱橫,正因日J33nB280_p0280b17鮮,盈村溢巷,付拂付衣,父子公孫,爭名奪利,同門推J33nB280_p0280b18刃,得意揚揚,不復知有世間因果慚愧之事。狂瀾既J33nB280_p0280b19倒,遍界波流,正宜有志者惻隱存心、捐身報法之時J33nB280_p0280b20也,而尚忍煙雲久臥耶?』山僧由是不揣頑庸,任緣輕J33nB280_p0280b21出,時艱福薄,性直才疏,碌碌忙忙,損多益少,因思古J33nB280_p0280b22人護持衰法正不如斯。首山稱法席之冠,而留眾不J33nB280_p0280b23滿二十;汾陽至以酒肉散卻閑神野鬼,而大器方成J33nB280_p0280b24者六人;真如初住智海,眾不滿三十餘,猶有老衲數J33nB280_p0280b25輩踐履此道;晚居大溈,不下九百餘僧,無五七人會J33nB280_p0280b26他說話,是知得人正不在門庭熱鬧也。栴檀林裏,豈J33nB280_p0280b27容異臭之香?秋晚法門,率多浮囂之客。自今解制之J33nB280_p0280b28後,各各閑遊,免相負累,安眾宜少不宜多,相從宜選J33nB280_p0280b29不宜濫,真操實履,同報法恩,因地非真,不勞其住。恁J33nB280_p0280b30麼說話,若作呵罵諸方、驅遣妄庸,會卻此人浪死虛J33nB280_p0280c01生。既不其然,且道畢竟事作麼生?」掉拂子,云:「活人逼J33nB280_p0280c02死,死人逼活,透脫無依,猶遭貶剝。漫天布網,意在鶤J33nB280_p0280c03鵬;萬里懸絲,寧忘赬尾?若是鰟魮鰍鱔,任他網底浮J33nB280_p0280c04沉;鼓鬣揚鬐,終看擎頭帶角。收放一道,卷舒同時,洗J33nB280_p0280c05盡駑凡,吹回蠱濫,盡是當人全機大用處。」顧大眾,云:J33nB280_p0280c06「還委悉麼?換骨洗腸重整頓,通身有眼更須參。」擊拂J33nB280_p0280c07子,下座。
J33nB280_p0280c08入新方丈小參。師云:「凡密禪人久知幻妄,一念回機,J33nB280_p0280c09千差洞暢,捐家業以助禪堂,施住屋而作方丈。山僧J33nB280_p0280c10今日到來,法法全超無上,蹋著者管教平步丹霄,不J33nB280_p0280c11會者喚作人天福藏,雨赴雲臻,風清日亮,是魔是佛J33nB280_p0280c12總銷鎔,萬里青天三十棒。還有擎頭戴角者麼?」喝一J33nB280_p0280c13喝。復舉:「僧問百丈大師:『如何是奇特事?』丈云:『獨坐大J33nB280_p0280c14雄峰。』僧禮拜,丈便打。」師乃召大眾云:「百丈大師雖則J33nB280_p0280c15善赴機宜,語驚時聽,檢點將來,還有奇特事也無?如J33nB280_p0280c16今若有人問老祖:『如何是奇特事?』即向他道:『凡密師J33nB280_p0280c17徒施住屋作方丈。闔山大眾代請小參。』或有箇孟八J33nB280_p0280c18漢子走出來道:『遮箇是平常底事。有什麼奇特處好J33nB280_p0280c19教你知?』平常底事須知落處,落處不明,面前有物,直J33nB280_p0280c20須出卻始得。出卻得了,然後信手拈來,斬釘截銕,縱J33nB280_p0280c21橫展拓,自在自由,豈不是無奇特中真奇特事?還委J33nB280_p0280c22悉麼?雲到碧崖千仞翠,月臨青嶂萬溪春。」擊拂子一J33nB280_p0280c23下。
J33nB280_p0280c24小參。舉:「《楞嚴經》云:『漚滅空本無,況復諸三有?』又云:『一J33nB280_p0280c25人發真歸元,十方虛空悉皆消殞。』自古自今,天下善J33nB280_p0280c26知識出世如稻、麻、竹、葦,若不發真歸元,作麼生稱得J33nB280_p0280c27善知識?既發真歸元,為什麼三有依然、虛空猶在?還J33nB280_p0280c28有道得未麼?」眾無語,師云:「總道不得,山僧為與下箇J33nB280_p0280c29註腳去也。」卓拄杖,云:「移花兼蝶至,買石得雲饒。」
J33nB280_p0280c30小參。舉:「洞山聰道者在雲居作燈頭時,有僧問:『泗洲J33nB280_p0281a01僧伽為甚麼楊州出現?』聰答云:『君子愛財,取之有道。』J33nB280_p0281a02眾皆笑之。傳至廬山蓮華峰祥菴主處,主合掌云:『不J33nB280_p0281a03意雲門兒孫猶在。』夜敷坐具,望雲居拜之,聰由是知J33nB280_p0281a04名。」師云:「且如『君子愛財,取之有道』遮兩句話,作麼生J33nB280_p0281a05偏不道是臨濟、曹洞、溈仰、法眼兒孫,而恰認得是雲J33nB280_p0281a06門兒孫?且道淆訛在什麼處?」眾下語不契,師代云:「可J33nB280_p0281a07笑清貧涎太守,渭川千畝在胸中。」
J33nB280_p0281a08小參。舉:「《楞嚴經》云:『知見立知,即無明本;知見無見,斯J33nB280_p0281a09則涅槃無漏真淨。云何是中更容他物?』」豎起竹篦,云:J33nB280_p0281a10「釋迦老子統領十佛剎微塵數菩薩摩訶薩向山僧J33nB280_p0281a11竹篦頭人輪相三昧、山僧竹篦子向諸人面門入方J33nB280_p0281a12廣三昧,作麼生說箇知見、無見的道理聻?」擲下竹篦,J33nB280_p0281a13云:「路遠夜長休把火,大家吹滅暗中行。」喝一喝。
J33nB280_p0281a14小參。「若論此事,從來不假人力;不假人力,自然啐啄J33nB280_p0281a15同時。直饒如是,猶是功勳未盡。山僧今日為汝說破J33nB280_p0281a16去也。」乃顧視大眾,云:「作家不啐啄,處處是家鄉。好大J33nB280_p0281a17眾!歸堂去。」
J33nB280_p0281a18小參。「堂中事作麼生?」眾無對。師云:「連日作務辛苦,還J33nB280_p0281a19識辛苦中消息也無?不見百丈大師示眾云:『汝等為J33nB280_p0281a20我開田,我為汝說大義。』眾開田竟,請師為說大義,丈J33nB280_p0281a21行數步,展兩手示之。大眾!且道百丈恁麼說話,是說J33nB280_p0281a22大義?是不說大義?若道是說大義,恰如解驪龍頷下J33nB280_p0281a23之珠;若道不是說大義,急須蹋步進前,切莫埋沒自J33nB280_p0281a24己。還會麼?如或未然,更聽一偈:山頭乍住事多端,挈J33nB280_p0281a25樹搬柴不等閑,驀地相逢王大姐,眉毛眨上過前川。」J33nB280_p0281a26乃呵呵大笑,云:「幾乎錯下註腳。」
J33nB280_p0281a27小參。師云:「蹋步向前,早已失卻,若不商量,未免虛度,J33nB280_p0281a28作麼生得安貼去?」眾無語,師乃云:「父母未生,鼻直眉J33nB280_p0281a29橫,參求轉遠,當體虛玄。子曰:『禹,吾無間然矣。』」
J33nB280_p0281a30小參。「大眾直下休去好,此時不休,更待何時?釋迦老J33nB280_p0281b01予未出世時,人人只差半寸;出世已後,棄明珠而抱J33nB280_p0281b02魚目者紛紛皆然,實為苦屈。若能單刀直入,不犯波J33nB280_p0281b03瀾,坐享太平,安邦定國,豈不是一樁奇特事?」眾無語,J33nB280_p0281b04師云:「夜靜水寒魚不餌,滿船空載月明歸。」
J33nB280_p0281b05大雪,小參。舉:「昔日會祖初住楊岐,破屋敗椽,不蔽風J33nB280_p0281b06雨。值嚴冬,雨雪盈床,衲子願充修造,會祖卻之曰:『汝J33nB280_p0281b07等出家學道,做手腳未穩,早已四五十歲了也,詎有J33nB280_p0281b08工夫事豐屋耶?』次日,上堂云:『楊岐乍住屋壁疏,滿床J33nB280_p0281b09盡撒雪珍珠,縮卻項,暗嗟吁,翻憶古人樹下居。』祖師J33nB280_p0281b10如此為人,雖則壁立千仞,其奈太儉何?還有知落處J33nB280_p0281b11者麼?」喝一喝,良久,云:「山僧今來初住神鼎,破屋頹墻,J33nB280_p0281b12雨雪盈室,家風不減會祖。雖則二時薄粥,饑冷切膚,J33nB280_p0281b13而意興蕭蕭,快活仍舊。恐諸人向伸頭縮項處著到,J33nB280_p0281b14不免撥開一路,令箇箇得大受用去也。」乃拈拄杖,云:J33nB280_p0281b15「會麼?細如粉末,大似立山,大中現小,小中現大,不小J33nB280_p0281b16不大,丹青難畫。數日寒風凜洌,今朝大雪漫天,不假J33nB280_p0281b17思惟,應時及節,豈非天地未分以前消息?」卓拄杖,云:J33nB280_p0281b18「雪霰盈床圍火坐,門前萬樹舞風煙。」
J33nB280_p0281b19除夕,小參。拈拄杖,云:「今歲今宵盡,明年明日來,猢猻J33nB280_p0281b20權掛壁,拄杖拂天開。堪笑多情忙長老,徒然碌碌巧J33nB280_p0281b21安排,爭如神鼎家風古?意興蕭蕭樂莫數。一餐薄粥J33nB280_p0281b22送窮年,紅爐燄裏忙諸祖,禪和拍掌笑呵呵,大地黃J33nB280_p0281b23金賤如土。報諸人,休莽鹵,現成買賣著精神,須彌擊J33nB280_p0281b24碎鹽官鼓。」卓拄杖,喝一喝。
J33nB280_p0281b25小參。舉:「六祖大師至法性寺,聞二僧論風動、旛動,祖J33nB280_p0281b26曰:『非風動、非旛動,仁者心動』話。諸人作麼生會?」鏡公J33nB280_p0281b27云:「祖師也須喫棒。」師云:「為什麼聻?」鏡一喝,師云:「錯。」乃J33nB280_p0281b28云:「纔離虎穴,又入龍潭,多少人向者裏失錢遭罪?」豎J33nB280_p0281b29如意,云:「且道是手動?是如意動?是心動?」放下,云:「自是J33nB280_p0281b30不歸歸便得,五湖煙景有誰爭?」
J33nB280_p0281c01小參。師云:「十方無壁落,四面亦無門,為什麼又有東J33nB280_p0281c02西南北?」眾下語不契,請師代。師云:「何不道『俱被和尚J33nB280_p0281c03看破』?」
J33nB280_p0281c04小參。師云:「風動心搖樹,雲生性起塵,要明今日事,昧J33nB280_p0281c05卻本來人。本來人且置,作麼生是今日事?有般漢見J33nB280_p0281c06山僧與麼問,便云:『今日十四,明日十五。』或云:『今日天J33nB280_p0281c07晴,普請兩次。』或云:『特蒙和尚舉話。』恁麼對答,見處則J33nB280_p0281c08不無,要明今日事太遠在。且作麼生是今日事?」眾下J33nB280_p0281c09語不契,師云:「貓兒尾上帶研椎。」
J33nB280_p0281c10小參。師云:「禮三拜已,依位而立,真箇作家;板鳴喫飯,J33nB280_p0281c11柳響出坡,作家真箇。若作佛法商量,銜銕負鞍有分;J33nB280_p0281c12若作平常無事會,辜負山僧不少。作麼生得箇恰好J33nB280_p0281c13去?」眾無語,師乃云:「駕與青龍不解騎。」
J33nB280_p0281c14小參。師云:「古人道:『一句合頭語,萬劫繫驢橛。』作麼生J33nB280_p0281c15是不合頭的句?」晃孚云:「游人一去無消息,留得雲山J33nB280_p0281c16到老看。」師云:「正是合頭句。」孚無語,師云:「秤錘落井。」
J33nB280_p0281c17小參。「山僧初住一箇破院,汝等遠來參隨,不辭勞苦,J33nB280_p0281c18正所謂相逢不下馬,各自趁前程。何謂如此?心外無J33nB280_p0281c19法,法外無心,各各莊嚴,各各成就,終不是他處流轉。J33nB280_p0281c20不見昔日黃檗在百丈開田,丈曰:『運闍黎開田不易。』J33nB280_p0281c21蘗云:『隨眾作務。』丈云:『有煩道用。』蘗云:『爭敢辭勞?』丈云:J33nB280_p0281c22『開得多少田?』蘗將鋤頭築地三下,丈便喝,蘗掩耳而J33nB280_p0281c23出。你看他等閑相見,各各如象王獨步,還有知落處J33nB280_p0281c24者麼?」良久,云:「既無其人,山僧為汝下箇註腳:荷葉團J33nB280_p0281c25團團似鏡,菱角尖尖尖似錐,莫怪相逢不下馬,前程J33nB280_p0281c26各趁勿遲遲。」
