續比丘尼傳卷一
世間聖人,立於像形上觀察一切,故曰:「乾道成男,坤道成女。」男尊而女卑,夫唱而婦隨,是以中國女子終生無主權。以三從而為德,所謂未嫁從父,已嫁從夫,夫歿而從子。出世聖人,立於體性上觀察一切,故曰:大地眾生皆具如來智慧德相,唯因妄想執著而不能證得。世人始唱男女平權,原來吾佛唱之早矣。非特男女平權,而一切眾生迷皆平權,又不但眾生偕眾生平權,而眾生與諸佛亦平權。凡女子學佛出家者,即打破世間假像的階級,實行出世體性之平權。三從頓舍,終生自主,以有體性之觀察力,故能轉變性質,如化魚而成龍,傳中諸尼僧是也。亦有不脫像形之習氣者,則觸途成滯,如暴腮於龍門,傳外諸尼僧是也。世人已知提倡男女平權,而未知提倡一切眾生悉皆平權,若進而提倡一切眾生本皆平權,不存大小強弱之觀念,則世界可期平矣。但吾佛從平處唱平,世人從不平處唱平,平同而平處特異。世法與佛法不同此也。近有女子頭角崢嶸,露於社會之上,與男子平權矣。慨吾佛教之比丘尼,反寂然無聲,如寒岩枯木,毫無生氣,徒負出世丈夫之虛名,不若在家女子之有志氣,悲乎!末法尼眾,身雖出家,心不知道,而亦不求其知,以為出家止於薙發染衣而已。此等尼眾,如彼盲人誤入歧途,若無援引,奚歸正路?維我 震華大德,年未自立,識已過人,植慧根於夙世,發智花於今時;淵學遠鑒,歎佛法之蕭條;觀古傷今,悲尼眾之不振。是以採訪過去有道之高尼,乃為今後釋子之龜鑒。上從蕭梁,下至民國,聚英集華,名曰續比丘尼傳。冀此傳傳播四方,憲章有道,不使過去克己成仁、茹苦會辛之輩,與草木同腐,湮沒而無聞,亦可令吾現前釋子觀彼比丘尼。我亦比丘尼,彼即如斯,我亦應如斯。彼比丘尼當能如斯,而我比丘尼不能不如斯。此雖文字之般若,實為振興佛教、援引迷途之梯航也。書成,問序於余,余略述著者之志願,以告讀茲傳者,是為序。
CC001n0001_p0086a04原夫法性平等,本無男女差別。良以一切眾生從無始來,昧失CC001n0001_p0087a04本因,起惑造業,循名著相,橫生計執,遂致形成依正假名。不出根CC001n0001_p0087a05塵妄習,非唯著我躭人,益復重男輕女。抑之不足,至謂無才是德;CC001n0001_p0087a06卑之不足,至謂慰情勝無。積習相傳,古今共轍。暨乎斬絕情塵,歸CC001n0001_p0087a07心釋氏,喻如四河入海,同一鹹味,既無高下之分,何有軒輊之見。CC001n0001_p0087a08法華會上,龍女居然成佛;維摩室中,天女竟爾易形。猗歟,休哉!佛法CC001n0001_p0087a09博大精深,圓融極致,觀於是不尤信乎?雖然深引出離,經論不CC001n0001_p0087a10無呵色之說;捐除染著,菩薩常作避坑之觀。所以然者,實緣於諸衰CC001n0001_p0087a11中,女衰最重,是眾苦本,是繫縛本,具三隔五礙,修行障重,比二CC001n0001_p0087a12乘根缺,淨土緣疏。是以姨母出家,猶嚴乎八敬;尼眾戒條,遞增乎CC001n0001_p0087a13五百。此非固為已甚,要亦意有所在也。職是之故,愛道雖有傳人,CC001n0001_p0087a14難登竹帛;高僧獨多長史,盡著簡篇。幸賴寶唱一呼,僅存六十五傳,CC001n0001_p0088a01何竟步塵無繼,寥落千百餘年?夏樹芳為眾名公立言,彭尺木為善女CC001n0001_p0088a02人著錄,彼皆各擅其美,光曜不磨,此何獨付缺如?機緣有待,華才CC001n0001_p0088a03實愧於贊寧,志竊希於司馬,感潛德之不彰,悲斯文之若喪。於是振CC001n0001_p0088a04襟而起,寧計學殖之疏;奮筆直書,渾忘言詞之拙。歷時幾及三年,CC001n0001_p0088a05集稿垂成數帙。不意所託非人,頓遭遺忘之慘,前功盡棄,徒勞剔抉CC001n0001_p0088a06之勤。兵火無情,善緣多阻,思之誠痛惜也。劫後殘軀捷在,幸為漏CC001n0001_p0088a07網之魚,故業重尋,自是識途之馬。祇以圖書盡行燬失,參考無從,CC001n0001_p0088a08堪記憶能有幾何?編修匪易,惟憑鄴架借觀,登門如同受教。郵筒問CC001n0001_p0088a09訊,折簡不知謂何;所幸先難後獲,尚不唐捐。有志竟成,信乎不謬!CC001n0001_p0088a10爰賦一律紀其事,曰:

CC001n0001_p0089a06CC001n0001_p0089a07道蹟,一名明練,號總持,吳興人,或作梁武帝女。事達摩為弟CC001n0001_p0089a08子,悟心要法。達摩將返天竺,命門人各言所得。道蹟曰:「我今所解,CC001n0001_p0089a09如慶喜見阿閦佛國,一見更不再見。」達摩曰:「汝得吾肉。」後遁居CC001n0001_p0089a10湖州弁嶺峰,晝夜誦法華經,誦滿萬部,不下山者,凡二十年。感空中CC001n0001_p0089a11白雀常來聽經,山遂以白雀名。既圓寂,塔全身於結廬之所。大同元CC001n0001_p0089a12年,塔內忽有青蓮華一朵,道俗異之,啟視,見華從舌根生。州郡錄奏,CC001n0001_p0089a13勅建法華寺,事具褚詢望所寫塔碑。
二、梁揚州某庵尼僧法傳
CC001n0001_p0090a02CC001n0001_p0090a03僧法,太學博士江泌女,小而出家。年八、九歲,有時靜坐閉目,CC001n0001_p0090a04前後誦出二十一經,合三十五卷,揚州僧俗咸稱神授。茲列經目於CC001n0001_p0090a05後:淨土經七卷;妙莊嚴經四卷;妙音師子吼經三卷;益意經三卷;CC001n0001_p0090a06阿那含經二卷;寶頂經一卷;正頂經一卷;法華經一卷;勝鬘經一卷;CC001n0001_p0090a07藥草經一卷;太子經一卷;伽耶婆經一卷;波羅奈經一卷;優婁頻經CC001n0001_p0090a08一卷;般若得經一卷;華嚴瓔珞經一卷;出乘師子吼經一卷;踰陀衛CC001n0001_p0090a09經一卷;優曇經一卷;維摩經一卷;序七世經一卷。費長房編入三寶CC001n0001_p0090a10紀中,且推論之曰:「房驗經論,斯理皎然。是宿習來,非關神授。」且CC001n0001_p0090a11據外典,夫子有云:「生而知之者聖,學而知之者次」,此局談今生,CC001n0001_p0090a12昧於過去爾。若不爾者,何以得辯外內賢聖淺深過現乎?
三、梁宜都紫竹庵尼太清傳
CC001n0001_p0091a02CC001n0001_p0091a03太清,宜都人。出家學道,深得理味。住紫竹庵,日夕誦經,資CC001n0001_p0091a04為行業。庵臨溪側,一日,溪水暴漲,太清大笑,擲蒲團於水中,趺坐CC001n0001_p0091a05其上,誦普門品,順流由長陽江出大江而去。莫知所之,因名其溪曰CC001n0001_p0091a06師姑溪。
四、陳高郵某庵尼華手傳
CC001n0001_p0092a02CC001n0001_p0092a03華手,梁普通二年,居高郵某庵,志節冰霜。誦妙法蓮華經,不捨CC001n0001_p0092a04晝夜,適通第一。右手爪上即生一華,形如菱菜,如是誦五卷,五指CC001n0001_p0092a05爪上生於五華。次誦第六、第七,掌內又生二華,形大於前,州境內因CC001n0001_p0092a06呼為華手尼。尼亦無甚苦節,陳武帝召見看之,大為嘉敬,後不知所CC001n0001_p0092a07終。
五、北齊五臺祕魔巖尼法祕傳
CC001n0001_p0093a02CC001n0001_p0093a03法祕,北齊人。慧心天悟,真志獨拔,居五臺山西臺,專修禪慧。CC001n0001_p0093a04木食澗飲,行苦自持,積五十年未嘗下山,年餘八十始寂。後人重其CC001n0001_p0093a05道,名其住處曰祕魔巖,謂高尼法祕煉魔地也。唐有祕魔和尚,得馬CC001n0001_p0093a06祖之道,擎叉接人,亦以住此而名。
六、隋同州般若寺尼智仙傳
CC001n0001_p0094a02CC001n0001_p0094a03智仙,蒲坂劉氏女,少出家,有戒行。和上失之,恐其墮井,見CC001n0001_p0094a04在佛屋,儼然坐定。時年七歲,遂以禪觀為業。隋文帝誕日,無因而CC001n0001_p0094a05至,語太祖曰:「兒天佛所祐,勿憂也。」尼遂名帝為那羅延,言如金CC001n0001_p0094a06剛不可壞也。又曰:「此兒來處異倫,俗家穢雜,自為養之。」因割宅CC001n0001_p0094a07為般若寺,內通小門,以兒委尼,不敢名問。後皇妣來抱,忽見化而CC001n0001_p0094a08為龍,驚遑墮地。尼曰:「何因妄觸我兒,遂令晚得天下。」及年七歲,CC001n0001_p0094a09告帝曰:「兒當大貴,從東國來。佛法當滅,由兒興之。」而尼沈靜寡CC001n0001_p0094a10言,時道成敗吉凶,莫不符驗。初,在寺養帝,年十三方始還家。積三CC001n0001_p0094a11十餘歲,略不出門。及周滅二教,尼隱皇家,內著法衣,戒行不改。CC001n0001_p0094a12帝後果自山東入為天子,重興佛法,皆如尼言。及登祚後,每顧群臣,CC001n0001_p0094a13追念阿闍黎以為口實。又云:「我興由佛法,而好食麻豆,前生似從道CC001n0001_p0094a14人裏來。」由小時在寺,至今樂聞鐘聲,乃命史官王劭為尼作傳。其CC001n0001_p0095a01龍潛所經四十五州,皆悉同時為大興國寺,因改般若為其一焉。仁壽CC001n0001_p0095a02元年,帝及后宮同感舍利,並放光明,砧磓試之,宛然無損。遂散CC001n0001_p0095a03於州部,前後建塔百有餘所,隨有塔下,皆圖神尼,多有靈相。故其銘CC001n0001_p0095a04云:「維年月,菩薩戒佛弟子大隋皇帝堅、敬白十方三世一切三寶:弟CC001n0001_p0095a05子蒙三寶福祐,為蒼生君父,思與民庶共建菩提。今故分布舍利諸州CC001n0001_p0095a06供養,欲使普修善業,同登妙果,仍為弟子。法界幽顯,三途八難,懺CC001n0001_p0095a07悔行道。奉請十方常住三寶,願起慈悲,受弟子等請,降赴道場,證CC001n0001_p0095a08明弟子為諸眾生發露懺悔。」文多不載。
七、唐河東某庵尼法信傳
CC001n0001_p0096a02CC001n0001_p0096a03法信,字練行,河東人,常誦法華經。武德初,為靜室,數倍酬直CC001n0001_p0096a04倩人書全經七卷。一起一浴,八年乃畢,供養嚴重。龍門僧法端聞之,CC001n0001_p0096a05心竊窺羨,欲索為講本。法信辭不獲已,割愛與之,然非所願也。及CC001n0001_p0096a06開函展讀,唯見黃紙,了無文字。法端慚惶無措,遣使送還。法信疑CC001n0001_p0096a07有觸污,遂至如此,乃對本悲泣,頂戴行道,至七晝夜,未嘗間斷。CC001n0001_p0096a08既而開視,文字如故。
八、唐潯陽某庵尼妙空傳
CC001n0001_p0097a02CC001n0001_p0097a03妙空,潯陽人。蔬食紙衣,少欲知足。平居專讀法華,意至懇切,CC001n0001_p0097a04乃至不受餘經一偈。常發願畢此形骸,往生極樂,默觀內照,深解念CC001n0001_p0097a05佛三昧。臨終之時,有紫雲覆室,異香徧於一縣。後弟子尼夢言:「一CC001n0001_p0097a06生持法華功德,所積得生極樂上品中生。」若兼解義趣,必高登上品上生CC001n0001_p0097a07矣。
九、唐汾州西河尼大明傳
CC001n0001_p0098a02CC001n0001_p0098a03大明,汾州人。遇道綽禪師講無量壽經,得知念佛法門。居西河,CC001n0001_p0098a04誓生淨土。每入室禮念,先著淨衣,口含沉香,攝靜課誦,三四年CC001n0001_p0098a05間,相續不斷。將終之日,眾忽聞澄香滿室,俄而光明如雲,隱隱向CC001n0001_p0098a06西沒焉。
一〇、唐荊州姊妹二尼傳
CC001n0001_p0099a02CC001n0001_p0099a03姊妹二尼,荊州人。貞觀初,同誦法華,深厭形器,俱欲捨身求CC001n0001_p0099a04無上道。從此漸斷粒食,服諸香油,預告道俗,克日焚然。即於城大CC001n0001_p0099a05街置二高座,以蠟布纏身,唯出面目誦法華。至藥王品,姊先以火炷CC001n0001_p0099a06妹頂,妹即以火炷姊頂。清夜,兩炬炳耀同輝,火沿至眼,經聲尚明。CC001n0001_p0099a07至於明旦,合座同燒,骨肉並銷,二舌俱在。眾為起塔,以旌萬世。
一一、唐綿竹淨惠寺尼信相傳
CC001n0001_p0100a02CC001n0001_p0100a03信相,綿竹楊氏女。生而知道,終日凝然禪寂。父為道士,號三CC001n0001_p0100a04洞先生。弟惠寬為僧,居龍懷寺。初,楊族家世奉道,相、寬獨相偕學佛,CC001n0001_p0100a05見天尊像,不肯跪拜,父母雖詬詈之,亦不屈從。日惟互相譚論,俱CC001n0001_p0100a06非世事,父母怪異,使人錄其所論言句,蓋大莊嚴等論也。相與驚歎CC001n0001_p0100a07宿根,改宅為淨惠寺,自亦奉佛,聽信、寬一時剃落。寬出家已,神異CC001n0001_p0100a08日顯,俗呼聖和上。相悟解甚深,凡情莫測。嘗因淨惠寺異僧入定,CC001n0001_p0100a09滿寺紅燄亘然,而人未識之。相曰:「此火聚尊者入火光三昧耳。」因CC001n0001_p0100a10入其寺,自入水觀,一室湛然唯水,不見其形。異僧欽歎,以為得果,CC001n0001_p0100a11時亦號聖尼。
一二、唐長安積善寺尼淨真傳
CC001n0001_p0101a02CC001n0001_p0101a03淨真,住長安積善寺,衲衣乞食,一生無瞋。誦金剛經十萬徧,CC001n0001_p0101a04專精念佛。顯慶五年,染疾,告弟子云:「五月內十度見阿彌陀佛,兩度CC001n0001_p0101a05見極樂世界,寶蓮華上童子遊戲。又有聖僧五度授記曰:『我當CC001n0001_p0101a06作佛。』又曰:『吾得上品往生。』」跏趺而終,經宿卻醒,語弟子CC001n0001_p0101a07曰:「吾得菩薩位也。徧歷十方,供養諸佛。」言訖而終,光照於寺。
一三、唐長安濟度寺尼法願傳
CC001n0001_p0102a02CC001n0001_p0102a03法願,俗姓蕭氏,蘭陵人,梁武帝之六葉孫,唐故司空宋國公瑀CC001n0001_p0102a04之第三女也。乘因敻劫,植本遐生。孕月仙姿,稟清規於帝渚;儀星CC001n0001_p0102a05寶態,降淑範於台門。襁褓之辰,先標婉質;髫齓之歲,遽挺柔情。CC001n0001_p0102a06聰悟發於生知,孝友基乎天縱,中外姻族,莫不異焉。加以骨象無儔,CC001n0001_p0102a07韶妍獨立,鉛華不卸,彩絢春桃,玉顏含澤,光韜朝蕣。年將十歲,CC001n0001_p0102a08頗自矜莊,整飾持容,端懷撿操。每留神於鞶帨,特紆情於紝組;瓊CC001n0001_p0102a09環金翠之珍,茵簟衾幬之飾,必殫華妙。取翫閨闈,麗而不奢,盈而CC001n0001_p0102a10不溢。既而疏襟學府,繹慮詞條,一覽而隅隩咸該,再覿而英華畢搴。CC001n0001_p0102a11豪飛八體,究軒史之奇文;法兼二妙,符衛姬之逸迹。群藝式甄,女CC001n0001_p0102a12儀逾劭,宋公特深撫異,將求嘉世,載佇孫龍,以光宋鯉。而嚴庭垂訓,CC001n0001_p0102a13早沐慈波;鼎室承規,幼明真諦。飄花見雪,初陪太傅之歡;摘葉為CC001n0001_p0102a14香,遽警息慈之念。爰發宏誓,思證菩提,懼塵情於六禮,乃翹誠於CC001n0001_p0103a01十誦。承間薦謁,請離俗緣。宋公論道槐端,丹青神化,虔襟柰苑,CC001n0001_p0103a02梁棟正法,重違雅志,許以出家。甫及笄年,爰披法服,乃於濟度伽CC001n0001_p0103a03藍,別營禪次。庭標雁塔,遠蔑娀臺;藏寫龍宮,遙嗤魯館。於是㳂空CC001n0001_p0103a04寂念,襲慧薰心,悅彼糞衣,俄捐綺縠,甘茲蔬膳,遽𢇛膻腥。戒行CC001n0001_p0103a05與松柏齊貞,慧解共冰泉等徹;超然拔類,恬然宴坐。若乃弟兄辦供,CC001n0001_p0103a06親眷設齋,九乳流音,六銖含馥,瓶錫咸萃,冠蓋畢臻,唯是瞻仰屏CC001n0001_p0103a07惟,遙申禮謁,自非至戚,罕有覿其形儀者。加以討尋經論,探窮閫CC001n0001_p0103a08域,覈妒路之微言,括毘尼之邃旨。至於法華、般若、攝論、維摩,CC001n0001_p0103a09晨夕披誦,兼之講說。持戒弟子,近數十人,莫不仰味真乘,競趍丹CC001n0001_p0103a10枕,傍窺淨室,爭詣元扉。肅肅焉,濟濟焉,七眾之仰曇彌,何以尚CC001n0001_p0103a11也!重以深明九次,閱想禪枝,洞曉三空,澄襟定水,厭此纏蓋,忽CC001n0001_p0103a12現身疾。大漸之晨,謂諸親屬曰:「是身無我,取譬水萍,是身有累,CC001n0001_p0103a13同夫風葉,生死循環,實均晝夜。然則淨名申誡,本乎速朽;能仁CC001n0001_p0103a14垂則,期於早化。金棺乃示滅之機,玉匣豈棲神之宅?誠宜捐軀鷙鳥,CC001n0001_p0104a01委形噬獸。」斂衿正念,奄然無言,粵以龍朔三年八月廿六日,捨壽於CC001n0001_p0104a02濟度寺之別院,春秋六十三。姊弟永懷沉痛,不忍依承遺約,乃以其CC001n0001_p0104a03年十月十七日,營空於少陵原之側,無名氏為撰墓誌。銘曰:「智有殊CC001n0001_p0104a04稱,法無異源;爭驅意馬,俱制心猿。志擾情紊,神凝理存;展如淑CC001n0001_p0104a05範,獨趨玄門。璇彩星分,瑤姿月舉;含芳槐路,疏貞桂序。雲吐荊CC001n0001_p0104a06臺,霞霏洛渚;學兼班媛,詞彬蔡女。奠禽匪志,救蟻昭仁;捐華台CC001n0001_p0104a07室,沐道玄津。法關開揵,心衢屏塵;九流遣累,八定栖真。忍藥分CC001n0001_p0104a08滋,戒香含烈;傳燈不倦,寫瓶無竭。奄愴神遷,空悲眼滅;式鐫柔CC001n0001_p0104a09範,終天靡絕。」
一四、唐長安道德寺尼無量傳
CC001n0001_p0105a02CC001n0001_p0105a03無量,長安閔氏女。年甫十八,能誦華嚴。永淳二年,有詔度僧,CC001n0001_p0105a04其家男女五人,俱以試經得度,無量配住道德寺。志節彌堅,每誦華CC001n0001_p0105a05嚴,三日一徧,以為恆課,六時禮懺,三業無替。每見諸貧病,莫不CC001n0001_p0105a06深思悲愍,資給湯藥,扶其困乏,時歎為女中丈夫。
混山尼,失其名,住蘇州混山縣界。少小入道,常誦法華經,每CC001n0001_p0106a04日兩徧,二十餘載曾無懈廢。此尼容貌妍詳,見者思戀。至永昌元CC001n0001_p0106a05年,縣錄司姓朱,遂起惡心,橫加非望,尼雅志貞確,意不從之。朱CC001n0001_p0106a06乃惱亂寺眾,破壞常住,尼等不知何計得免斯苦。持經尼云:「此法CC001n0001_p0106a07華經,無上妙寶,諸天鬼神,共所護持。佛語真實,何無靈驗?」作CC001n0001_p0106a08是念已,即著淨衣入佛殿,燒香發願。其後,錄司假託別由,而來寄宿,CC001n0001_p0106a09心懷異意,方欲向尼房去。少選之間,忽覺半體酸痛,男根遂落,徧CC001n0001_p0106a10身流汗,即發癩瘡,眉毛鬢鬚一時俱墮。錄司感斯惡報,生大怖畏,CC001n0001_p0106a11狂心頓歇,立命歸返,悲悔萬方,竟不痊損。尼見一念之誠,蠲諸魔CC001n0001_p0106a12礙,益堅道意,畢命行持。
一六、唐長安宣化寺尼堅行傳
CC001n0001_p0107a02CC001n0001_p0107a03堅行,俗姓魚氏,京兆府櫟陽人也。生平貞儀苦節,精勤厥志,CC001n0001_p0107a04捐別修而遵普道,欽四行而造真門。豈荼晨霜易晞,夕露難久?寢疾CC001n0001_p0107a05牀枕,藥餌無徵,以開元十二年十月廿一日,遷化於宣化寺。春秋七CC001n0001_p0107a06十有六,夏卌矣。臨命遺囑,令門人等造空施身。至開元廿一年,親弟CC001n0001_p0107a07大雲僧志叶,弟子四禪、賢首、法空、淨意等收骨起塔,以申仰答CC001n0001_p0107a08罔極之志,並為之銘云。

CC001n0001_p0108a02CC001n0001_p0108a03法澄,字無所得,俗姓孫氏,樂安人也,吳帝權之後。祖榮,涪CC001n0001_p0108a04州刺史;父同,同州馮翊縣令。法澄第二女,降精粹之氣,含宏量之CC001n0001_p0108a05誠,大惠宿持,靈心早啟,鑒浮生不住,知常樂可依,託事蔣王,求CC001n0001_p0108a06為離俗,遂於上元二年出家。威儀戒行,覺觀禪思,跡履真如,空用CC001n0001_p0108a07恆捨。遂持瓶缽一十八事,頭陀山林,有豹隨行,逢神擁護。於至相CC001n0001_p0108a08寺康藏師處聽法,探微洞悟,同彼善財;調伏堅持,寧殊海意。康藏CC001n0001_p0108a09師每指法澄謂師徒曰:「住持佛法者,即此師也。」如意之歲,淫刑CC001n0001_p0108a10肆逞,巫及法師,收扶汝南,謀其義舉,坐入宮掖。故法澄於是大開聖CC001n0001_p0108a11教,宣揚正法,歸投者如羽翮趨林藪,若鱗介赴江海。昔菩薩化為女CC001n0001_p0108a12身,於王後宮說法,今古雖殊,利人一也。中宗和帝知名,放出中使CC001n0001_p0108a13供承,朝夕不絕。景龍二年,大德三藏等奏請法澄為紹唐寺主,敕CC001n0001_p0108a14依所請。玄宗在春宮,幸興聖寺,施錢一千貫,充修理寺。以法澄德CC001n0001_p0109a01望崇高,敕補為興聖寺主。法澄修葺畢功,不逾旬月,又於寺內畫華CC001n0001_p0109a02嚴海藏變、造八角浮圖,馬頭空起舍利塔,皆法澄指授規模。及造,自CC001n0001_p0109a03餘功德,不可稱數。融心濟物,徧法界以馳神;廣運冥力,滿虛空而CC001n0001_p0109a04遇化。不能祇理事途,請解寺主,遂鈔華嚴疏義三卷,及翻盂蘭盆經、CC001n0001_p0109a05溫室經等。專精博思,日起異聞,疲厭不生,誦經行道,視同居士。CC001n0001_p0109a06風疾現身,乃臥經二旬,飲食絕口。謂弟子曰:「我欲捨壽,不知死亦CC001n0001_p0109a07大難,為當因緣未盡。」後月餘,儼然坐繩牀,七日不動,惟聞齋時CC001n0001_p0109a08鐘聲即喫水。忽謂弟子曰:「扶我臥,我不能坐死。」臥訖,遷神,春秋CC001n0001_p0109a09九十,開元十七年十一月三日也。以其月二十三日,安神於龍首山馬CC001n0001_p0109a10頭空塔所。弟子嗣彭王女尼彌多羅等,念其師仁孝幼懷,容儀美麗,CC001n0001_p0109a11講經論義,應對如流。王公等所施,悉為功德。恐人事隨化,陵谷遷CC001n0001_p0109a12移,遂請彭王志暕銘其塔。
持法,晉陵黃氏女。與其妹慧忍,同稟宿根。幼聞人誦法華,聽CC001n0001_p0110a04之,曰:「吾解此義也。」試使之說,能深談實相之旨。後入京師安國寺CC001n0001_p0110a05為尼,同修法華三昧。忽有尼號空姑,詞貌甚異,來共止宿。每至中CC001n0001_p0110a06夜,身光赫然,如是三年而去。或問之,二尼皆笑而不答,人謂其為CC001n0001_p0110a07普賢也。一行禪師聞之,亦加欽敬。
一九、唐長安濟度寺尼惠源傳(附.慈和傳)
CC001n0001_p0111a02CC001n0001_p0111a03惠源,俗姓蕭氏,南蘭陵人也。曾門梁孝明皇帝,大夫諱瑀,唐中CC001n0001_p0111a04書令尚書左右僕射司空宋國公;父諱釴,給事中利州刺史。紛綸葳蕤,CC001n0001_p0111a05奕世名家。原師之始誕也,惠音清越,閒氣冲亮,稟天真於太和,集CC001n0001_p0111a06神祐於純嘏。及數歲後,養必申敬,動皆合理,發跡有道,出言有章。CC001n0001_p0111a07屏金翠而窒其繁華,絕葷羶而割其嗜欲,超然戰勝,但思出家。天鑒CC001n0001_p0111a08孔明,精心上感,年二十二,詔度為濟度寺尼,如始願也。受戒和上,CC001n0001_p0111a09寺大德尼,道之崇也;羯磨闍黎,太原寺大德律師薄塵,法之良也。CC001n0001_p0111a10廸延師立證,登壇進律,僧夏歲潔,戒珠日明,奉以周旋,不敢失墜。CC001n0001_p0111a11先是,其姑法願亦出家濟度寺,卒時,師始二歲。初,師纔至九歲,遘先CC001n0001_p0111a12大夫之酷。廿有七,執先夫人之夏,皆泣血茹哀,絕漿柴毀,古之孝子,CC001n0001_p0111a13烏足道哉!每秋,天露下衰,林風早棘,心欒欒若在喪紀,不忘孝也。CC001n0001_p0111a14亦能上規伯仲,旁訓弟姪,嗈嗈閨門,俾其勿壞。則天倫之性,過人CC001n0001_p0112a01數級。夫其內炳圓融,外示方便,恂恂善誘,從化如流,亦猶師子一吼,CC001n0001_p0112a02魔宮大隤,則感激有如此者。行住坐臥,應必皆空,慈悲喜捨,用而CC001n0001_p0112a03常寂。黃裳元吉,清風穆如,則龜鏡有如此者。後遇高僧義福者,常CC001n0001_p0112a04宴坐清禪,止觀傳明,殊禮印可。又有尼慈和者,世莫之識。知微通CC001n0001_p0112a05神,見色無礙,時人謂之觀音菩薩。嘗於大眾中目師曰:「十六沙彌,CC001n0001_p0112a06即法華中本師釋迦牟尼之往號也。」非師心同如來,孰能至于此?而CC001n0001_p0112a07更精承密行,親佩耿光,十數年間,演其後事。他日,師厭世示疾,以CC001n0001_p0112a08開元廿五年秋九月二日,從容而謂門人曰:「死生者,天之常道。身沒CC001n0001_p0112a09之後,於少陵原為空,遷吾神也。」言卒右脅而臥,怡然歸寂,享年CC001n0001_p0112a10七十有六。即以十一月旬有二日,從事於空,遵理命也,倉曹參軍楊CC001n0001_p0112a11休烈撰故大德比丘尼惠源和上神空誌銘。銘曰:「猗那明行,足不復CC001n0001_p0112a12還;至人去兮,逍遙天地之間。」
二〇、唐洛陽安國寺尼惠隱傳(附.德傳)
CC001n0001_p0113a02CC001n0001_p0113a03惠隱,俗姓榮,京兆人,其家第四女也。族望北平,曾祖權隨,CC001n0001_p0113a04金紫光祿大夫散騎常侍兵部尚書東阿郡開國公;祖建緒,銀青光祿大CC001n0001_p0113a05夫使持節息始洪諸軍事三州刺史東阿郡開國公;叔祖思九,黃門侍郎;CC001n0001_p0113a06父懷節,夷州綏陽縣令;外祖韋氏,字孝基,皇中書舍人道遙公之孫也。CC001n0001_p0113a07師聰識內敏,幼挺奇操,粵自齠齓,敬慕道門,專志誦經,七百餘紙。CC001n0001_p0113a08業行精著,簡練出家。自削髮染衣,安心佛道,尋求法要,歷奉諸師,CC001n0001_p0113a09如說修行,曾無懈倦。捐軀委命,不以為難,戒行無虧,冰霜比潔。CC001n0001_p0113a10或斷穀服氣,宴坐安禪;或鍊辟試心,以堅其志。動靜語默,恆在定CC001n0001_p0113a11中;凡所施為,不輟持誦。雖拘有漏,密契無為;雅韻孤標,高風獨遠。CC001n0001_p0113a12嗚呼!驚波不息,隟影難留;生滅無恆,遽隨遷謝。開元二十二年七月CC001n0001_p0113a13十一日,壽終於安國道場,春秋七十有六,右脅而臥,奄然滅度。臨CC001n0001_p0113a14涅槃時,遺曰:「吾緣師僧父母,並在龍門,可安吾於彼處,與尊者同一CC001n0001_p0114a01山也。」弟子尼圓德,博通三藏,才行清高。生事竭仁孝之心,禮葬盡CC001n0001_p0114a02精誠之志,追痛永遠,建塔茲山。縱陵谷有遷,庶芳徽不朽。無名氏CC001n0001_p0114a03為之銘,曰:「至道希夷,代罕能窺;探祕究妙,夫惟我師。爰自齠年,CC001n0001_p0114a04訖于晚歲,精念護攝,虔誠不替。肅肅戒行,明明定慧,淨業滋薰,CC001n0001_p0114a05與佛同契。逝川不駐,隟駟難留;奄隨運往,萬古千秋。嗟永感而無CC001n0001_p0114a06極,式彫紀於芳猷。」
二一、唐韶州曹侯村尼無盡藏傳
CC001n0001_p0115a02CC001n0001_p0115a03無盡藏,韶州曹侯村人,儒士劉志略之姑。初,六祖自黃梅得法,CC001n0001_p0115a04回行抵村,人無知者。劉志略禮遇獨厚,無盡藏常誦大涅槃經,六祖CC001n0001_p0115a05暫聽,即知妙義,遂為解說。無盡藏乃執卷問字,六祖曰:「字即不識,CC001n0001_p0115a06義即請問。」無盡藏曰:「字尚不識,焉能會義?」六祖曰:「諸佛妙CC001n0001_p0115a07理,非關文字。」無盡藏驚異之,徧告里中耆德云:「此是有道之士,CC001n0001_p0115a08宜請供養。」有魏武侯玄孫曹叔良及居民,競來瞻禮。時寶林古寺,CC001n0001_p0115a09自隋末兵火已廢,遂於故基,重建梵宇。延六祖居之,俄成寶坊。
二二、唐藤州通善寺尼智首傳
CC001n0001_p0116a02CC001n0001_p0116a03智首,不知何許人。出家學法,通曉毘尼,住藤州通善寺。攝化CC001n0001_p0116a04道俗,多所啟悟。時有日本僧普照、榮睿,入唐求法,懇請揚州大明CC001n0001_p0116a05寺鑒真律師東渡傳律。律師愍其為法心誠,率弟子多人,六次開纜,CC001n0001_p0116a06皆遇難緣折回。最後七次,於天寶十二載,又結四十一人,橫渡滄溟。CC001n0001_p0116a07智首與同輩三人,亦隨法輿而往,冀以大法化彼女眾。雖其餘道蹟CC001n0001_p0116a08湮沒不彰,然以愛道孱弱之軀,而能犯萬里鯨波,投身異域,建立法CC001n0001_p0116a09幢,其志節已足多矣!
二三、唐溫州淨居寺尼元機傳
CC001n0001_p0117a02CC001n0001_p0117a03元機,瑞安人,姓戴氏,乃永嘉大師女弟。景雲中,得度,常習定CC001n0001_p0117a04於大日山石窟中。一日,忽念曰:「法性湛然,本無去住;厭喧趨寂,豈CC001n0001_p0117a05為達耶?」乃往參雪峰,峰問:「甚處來?」機曰:「大日山來。」峰曰:「日CC001n0001_p0117a06出也未?」機曰:「若出則鎔卻雪峰。」峰曰:「汝名甚麼?」曰:「元CC001n0001_p0117a07機。」峰曰:「日織多少?」機曰:「寸絲不挂。」遂禮拜退。纔行三CC001n0001_p0117a08五步,峰召曰:「袈裟角拖地也。」機回首,峰曰:「大好寸絲不挂。」CC001n0001_p0117a09即於言下契悟。後住溫州淨居寺,倒立而化。永嘉喝曰:「汝生也顛倒,CC001n0001_p0117a10死也顛倒!」乃仆。殯後,一夕大雷電,柩忽不見,尋之,則在大日巖竇,CC001n0001_p0117a11因名其巖曰機巖。
二四、唐寶應河壖尼真如傳
CC001n0001_p0118a02CC001n0001_p0118a03真如,鞏縣人,姓李氏,嫁於賀若氏,捨俗為尼。唐天寶元年七CC001n0001_p0118a04月七日,真如於所居精舍盥濯,忽有五色雲自東來,雲中引手不見其CC001n0001_p0118a05形。以囊授真如,曰:「寶之,慎勿言也。」天寶末,安祿山之亂,真如展CC001n0001_p0118a06轉流寓於楚州安宜。上元二年建子月十八日夜,忽見二人皂衣引真如CC001n0001_p0118a07東南行,可五六十步,樓觀精飾,兵衛嚴肅。皂衣者曰:「化城也。」CC001n0001_p0118a08殿上一人,衣碧衣,戴寶冠,稱天帝。有二十餘人,衣冠亦如之,呼CC001n0001_p0118a09為諸天。命真如進,諸天相謂曰:「下界殺戮過多,腥穢達於諸天,當CC001n0001_p0118a10以神寶壓之。」一天曰:「用第三寶。」又一天曰:「今沴氣方盛,三CC001n0001_p0118a11寶不足以勝,須以第二寶授之。」曰:「然。」因出寶授真如,曰:「汝往令刺CC001n0001_p0118a12史崔侁進於天子。前所授小囊有五寶,人臣可見;今八寶,惟王者得見。CC001n0001_p0118a13慎勿易也!」具以寶名及所用之法授真如,復令皂衣者送之。翼日,真CC001n0001_p0118a14如詣縣,以狀聞。刺史以為妖,令從事盧恆就訊。真如以囊中五寶示恆,CC001n0001_p0119a01出寶盤照之,光耀射日,仰望不知所極。恆異之,白於侁,聞之節度CC001n0001_p0119a02使崔圓。圓召真如詣府,欲歷視之,不可。固強之,真如不得已,乃CC001n0001_p0119a03出八寶,置之日中,則白氣貫空;措諸陰室,則照燭如月。侁遣盧恆CC001n0001_p0119a04隨真如上獻。時肅宗寢疾,召太子謂之曰:「汝自楚王為儲嗣,今獲寶CC001n0001_p0119a05於楚州,天賜汝也。」代宗拜受賜,因改元寶應,以安宜縣為寶應縣,CC001n0001_p0119a06賜真如寶和大師,勅長安立寶應金輪寺。真如所居,得寶地在河壖,景CC001n0001_p0119a07物暢茂。相傳西域賈人過其旁者,莫不望而瞻禮焉。
二五、唐長安某庵尼功德山傳
CC001n0001_p0120a02CC001n0001_p0120a03功德山,姓氏住處失詳,道行顯著,能前知。肅宗朝,屢入宮為后CC001n0001_p0120a04妃說法。代宗廣德元年,吐蕃犯便橋,上幸陝,王師不利,常有紫氣CC001n0001_p0120a05如車蓋,以迎馬首。及迴潼關,上嘆曰:「河水洋洋,送朕東去。」上CC001n0001_p0120a06至陝,因望鐵牛,蹶然謂左右曰「朕年十五六,宮中有尼號功德山,CC001n0001_p0120a07言事往往神驗。屢撫吾背曰,天下有災,遇牛方迴。今見牛也,朕CC001n0001_p0120a08將迴爾。」是夜夢黃衣童子歌於帳前,曰:「中五之德方峨峨,胡胡呼呼CC001n0001_p0120a09可奈何?」詰旦,上具言其夢,侍臣咸稱土德當王之兆也。
二六、唐南康廬山尼悟性傳
CC001n0001_p0121a02CC001n0001_p0121a03悟性,洛陽人,於衡州遇法照闍黎,得念佛法門。大曆六年,居CC001n0001_p0121a04江西廬山,篤志念佛,求生西方。忽聞空中樂聲,謂左右曰:「吾已得中CC001n0001_p0121a05品生矣。見諸同志念佛精進者,皆有蓮花以待其生。」言畢而逝,時CC001n0001_p0121a06年二十四。
二七、唐衡岳某庵尼無染傳
CC001n0001_p0122a02CC001n0001_p0122a03無染,韋氏女,家世顯貴。大曆中出家,事衡岳大明律師,傳其CC001n0001_p0122a04戒法,奉行惟謹。大明示寂後,無染涕泣,求永州司馬柳宗元為作碑CC001n0001_p0122a05銘,為言其師道德為尤備,宗元因書諸碑陰。
二八、唐長安真化寺尼如願傳
CC001n0001_p0123a02CC001n0001_p0123a03如願,隴西李氏女,申公之裔。天生道芽,自然神秀,十一詔度,CC001n0001_p0123a04二十圓具。彌沙塞部,其所務也;分氎之義不殊,析金之理斯在。僅CC001n0001_p0123a05登十臘,聲實兩茂,邀臨香壇,辭不見允。望之儼然,即之溫然,其慧CC001n0001_p0123a06也月照千潭,其操也松寒萬嶺。乃曰:「威儀三千,吾鏡之矣;度門八萬,CC001n0001_p0123a07復焉在哉。」遂習以羅浮雙峰無生之觀,位居元匠矣。代宗命貴妃獨CC001n0001_p0123a08孤氏葛覃蘊德,十亂匡時,受道紫宸,登壇黃屋,因賜師紫袈裟一副,CC001n0001_p0123a09前後所賜綿綺繒帛,凡數千疋,以旌其高。燦乎盈庭,了無是相,道CC001n0001_p0123a10何深也!由此勅書疊篋,中使相望,御馬每下於雲霄,天花屢點於玉CC001n0001_p0123a11砌。締搆多寶佛塔,繕寫妙法蓮華,環廊繚垣,金剝熠耀,額題御札,CC001n0001_p0123a12光赫宇宙。大曆十年,歲次乙卯,五月廿九日,薨於長安真化寺,春秋七CC001n0001_p0123a13十六。具以上聞,皇情憫焉,中使臨弔,賻贈之禮,有加常等。弟子CC001n0001_p0123a14長樂公主與當院嗣法門人登壇,十大德尼常真敕弟子證道、政定,證CC001n0001_p0124a01果寺大德凝照、惠照、凝寂、悟真,資敬寺上座洪偃,寺主孝因,律CC001n0001_p0124a02師真一、遠塵,法雲寺律師遍照等,凡數千人。則懿戚相門,愛道CC001n0001_p0124a03花色而為上首,忽喪宗匠,如覩鶴林。即以其年七月十八日,奉敕法CC001n0001_p0124a04葬於長安城南畢原。塔之禮也,素幡悽於道路,丹旐慘於郊扃,千福CC001n0001_p0124a05寺飛錫法師為撰大唐真化寺多寶塔院故寺主臨壇大德尼如願律師CC001n0001_p0124a06墓誌銘。略曰:「紫袈裟者,彼何人?已了如來清淨身,登壇不向明光殿,CC001n0001_p0124a07去去應超生死津。」
二九、唐婺州金華山尼實際傳
CC001n0001_p0125a02CC001n0001_p0125a03實際,氏族不詳。通曉禪理,隨方化導,成就法事。婺州金華山CC001n0001_p0125a04俱胝和尚初住庵時,實際忽自遠方來,戴笠子,執錫繞俱胝三匝,曰:「道CC001n0001_p0125a05得即下笠子。」如是三問,俱胝皆無對。乃曰:「日勢稍晚,何不且住?」CC001n0001_p0125a06實際曰:「道得即住。」俱胝又無對。實際去後,俱胝嘆曰:「我雖處CC001n0001_p0125a07丈夫形,而無丈夫氣,不如棄庵往諸方參尋善知識去。」其夜,山神CC001n0001_p0125a08告曰:「不須離此,將有肉身菩薩來為和尚說法。」逾旬,果天龍和尚到CC001n0001_p0125a09庵,俱胝即迎禮,具陳前事。龍竪一指示之,俱胝當下大悟。自此凡CC001n0001_p0125a10有學者參問,俱胝唯舉一指,無別提唱。
三〇、唐臺建安寺尼法空傳
CC001n0001_p0126a02CC001n0001_p0126a03法空,俗姓韓氏,宣州人也。幼時辭親,依五臺山西南一百餘里CC001n0001_p0126a04建安寺出家,後於祇洹寺受戒。每誦法華,用為常務。後負笈聽學經CC001n0001_p0126a05律,數十載間,殊無開悟。自知性乏明慧,無宿習力。嘗聞五臺山文CC001n0001_p0126a06殊菩薩現種種身,賑濟群品。人傳有僧道超,別無行業,但久住華CC001n0001_p0126a07嚴寺,不出山門二十餘載,其後命終,生於兜率彌勒內院。彼天人謂CC001n0001_p0126a08超曰:「爾於人間,別無妙行。祇承文殊菩薩境界力故,得生此處。爾CC001n0001_p0126a09可還下人間,接誘四部,俾令聞知文殊功德。冀望暫登此山中,大銷CC001n0001_p0126a10諸罪,則用補天之闕行也。」道超依言,不捨天報,下告人間。法空CC001n0001_p0126a11如是思惟:文殊菩薩大願境界,不可思議,生希有心。復自念言:無CC001n0001_p0126a12始生死,三界流轉,不得解脫;善惡二業,由心造作。遂發大願,往CC001n0001_p0126a13五臺山,志求大聖,垂慈引接。乃與親妹尼立願偕行,以元和四年,CC001n0001_p0126a14屆山巡禮,徧遊五頂,覩種種化現。後至華嚴寺西北三泉院前深林中,CC001n0001_p0127a01逢一老人,謂法空曰:「汝宜住此修行,決證勝果。」言訖,遂隱。法空CC001n0001_p0127a02知大聖告諭,乃悲泣雨淚。久之,方自悔責惡業罪障,志願滅除。即依CC001n0001_p0127a03此地,別建草庵以居,策勵三業,曉夕靡怠。至元和八年二月十五日,CC001n0001_p0127a04取身所著衣,令弟子悉送常住,施大眾用,乃集眾取別。人問其故?CC001n0001_p0127a05法空告曰:「我從止此來,蒙大聖告語,教示妙法蓮華四字,開佛知見,CC001n0001_p0127a06清淨無染,得生淨土。眾各努力,無得空過。」言訖而逝,端坐如生。CC001n0001_p0127a07眾遂荼毘,收得舍利千餘粒,四眾分之,以充供養。
三一、唐洪州天宮寺尼妙寂傳
CC001n0001_p0128a02CC001n0001_p0128a03妙寂,姓景氏,初嫁任華。父鼎,與華往長沙廣陵間。元和十一CC001n0001_p0128a04年之潭州,不復。過期數月,妙寂忽夢父被髮裸形,浴血滿身,泣曰:CC001n0001_p0128a05「吾與汝夫湖中遇盜,皆已死矣。以汝似有志者,天許復讐。但幽CC001n0001_p0128a06冥之意,不欲顯言,故吾隱語報汝。誠能思而復之,吾亦何恨!」妙CC001n0001_p0128a07寂曰:「隱語云何?」鼎曰:「殺我者,車中猴,門東草。」俄而,見夫CC001n0001_p0128a08形狀若父,泣曰:「殺我者,禾中走,一日夫。」妙寂撫膺而哭,遂為CC001n0001_p0128a09女弟所覺,泣告其母,闔門大駭。念其隱語,杳不可知,訪於鄰叟及CC001n0001_p0128a10鄉閭之有知者,皆不能解。秋,詣上元縣,舟檝之所交者,四方士大夫CC001n0001_p0128a11多憩焉。而又邑有瓦官寺,寺上有閤,倚山瞰江,萬里在目,亦江湖CC001n0001_p0128a12之極境,遊人莫不登眺。吾將緇服其間,伺可問者,必有醒吾惑也。CC001n0001_p0128a13於是緇衣往上元,捨身瓦官寺,日箕帚洒掃閤下,閒則徙倚欄檻,以CC001n0001_p0128a14俟識者。見高冠博帶,吟嘯而來者,必拜而問。居數年,無能明者。十七CC001n0001_p0129a01年,歲在辛巳,李公佐者罷嶺南從事而來,攬衣至閤,神采俊逸,頗CC001n0001_p0129a02異常倫。妙寂前拜泣,且以前事問之。公佐曰:「吾生平好為人解迷,CC001n0001_p0129a03況子之冤,懇切而諄告如此。當為子思之。」默行數步,喜招妙寂曰:CC001n0001_p0129a04「吾得之矣!殺汝父者申蘭,殺汝夫者申春耳。」妙寂拜喜嗚咽,叩CC001n0001_p0129a05問其說,公佐曰:「夫猴,申生也;車去兩頭而言猴,故申字耳。草而門,CC001n0001_p0129a06門而東,非蘭字耶?禾中走者,穿田過也,此亦申字也。一日又加夫,CC001n0001_p0129a07蓋春字耳。」妙寂喜若不自勝,久而掩泣,拜謝曰:「賊名既彰,雪冤有CC001n0001_p0129a08路。苟獲釋憾,誓報深恩。婦人無他,唯潔誠奉佛,祈增福海耳。」CC001n0001_p0129a09乃再拜而去。元和初,泗州普光王寺有梵氏戒壇,人之為僧者必由CC001n0001_p0129a10之,四方輻輳,僧尼繁會,觀者如市焉。公佐自楚之秦,維舟而往觀CC001n0001_p0129a11之,有一尼眉目朗秀,若舊識者。每過必疑視公佐,若有意而未言者。CC001n0001_p0129a12久之,公佐將去,其尼遂呼曰:「侍御元和中不為南從事乎?」公佐曰:CC001n0001_p0129a13「然。」「然則記小師乎?」公佐曰:「不記也。」妙寂曰:「昔瓦官寺閤求CC001n0001_p0129a14解『車中猴』者也。」公佐悟曰:「竟獲賊否?」妙寂曰:「自悟夢言,乃CC001n0001_p0130a01男服,易名士寂,泛傭於江湖之間數年。聞蘄黃之間有申村,因往焉。CC001n0001_p0130a02流轉周星,乃聞其村西北隅,有申蘭者。默往求傭,輒貶其價,蘭喜CC001n0001_p0130a03召之。俄又聞其從父弟有名春者,於是勤供執事,晝夜不離,見其可CC001n0001_p0130a04為者,不顧輕重而為之,未嘗待命。蘭家器之,晝與群傭共作,夜寢CC001n0001_p0130a05其席,無知其非丈夫者。逾年,益自勤幹,蘭愈欣念,視士寂即自視其CC001n0001_p0130a06子不若也。蘭或農或商,或畜貨於武昌,開鎖啟閉,悉委焉。因檢其櫃CC001n0001_p0130a07中,半是己物,亦見其父及夫常所服,垂涕而記之。而蘭、春奴出處,未CC001n0001_p0130a08嘗偕在,慮其擒一而驚逸其一也。銜之數年,時值重陽,二盜飲既醉,CC001n0001_p0130a09士寂奔告於州,乘醉而獲。一問而辭伏,就法。得其所喪以歸,盡奉母CC001n0001_p0130a10而請從釋。師洪州之天宮寺尼洞微,即昔時受教者也。妙寂,遂一女也,CC001n0001_p0130a11誓血誠獲讐,天亦不奪,遂以夢寐之言,獲悟於君子,與其讐者得不同CC001n0001_p0130a12天。撫此微軀,豈酬明哲?惟捨身梵宇無他,虔誠法像,以報效耳。」CC001n0001_p0130a13公佐大異之,遂為作傳。
三二、唐長安龍花寺尼契義傳
CC001n0001_p0131a02CC001n0001_p0131a03契義,姓韋氏,京兆杜陵人也。曾王父諱安石,尚書左僕射中書CC001n0001_p0131a04令;大父諱斌,中書舍人臨汝郡太守;烈考諱袞,司門郎中眉州刺史。CC001n0001_p0131a05家承卿相德勳之盛,族為關內士林之冠。始先妣范陽盧夫人,以賢德CC001n0001_p0131a06宜家,蕃其子姓。故同氣八人,而行居其次,在女列則長焉。自始孩,CC001n0001_p0131a07蘊靜端介潔之性;及成人,鄙鉛華靡麗之飾。密寘心於清淨教,親戚制CC001n0001_p0131a08奪,其持愈堅。年十九,得請而剃落焉。大曆六年,制隸龍花寺,受CC001n0001_p0131a09具戒於照空和尚。居然法身,本於天性,嚴護律度,釋氏高之。國家崇CC001n0001_p0131a10其善教,樂於度人,敕東西街置大德十員,登內外壇場,俾後學依歸,CC001n0001_p0131a11傳諸佛心要。既膺是選,其道益光,門人宗師,信士嚮仰,如水走下,CC001n0001_p0131a12匪我求蒙。持一心之修繕佛宇,來四輩之施捨金幣;高閣山聳,長廊鳥CC001n0001_p0131a13跂。象設既固,律儀甚嚴。率徒宣經,與眾均福,故聞者敬而觀者信,CC001n0001_p0131a14如來之教,知所慕焉。嘗從容鄉里,指於北原,而告其諸弟曰:「此吾CC001n0001_p0132a01之所息也,為其識之。」蓋示生歸於佛,歿歸於鄉,所以報生育劬勞之CC001n0001_p0132a02恩於萬一也。元和戊戌歲四月庚辰,恬然化滅,報年六十六,僧夏CC001n0001_p0132a03四十五。粵以七月乙酉,遷神於萬年縣洪固鄉之畢原。遺命不墳不塔,CC001n0001_p0132a04積土為壇,植尊勝幢於其前。窀穸之制,咸所遵承。弟子比丘尼如壹CC001n0001_p0132a05等,服勤有年,號奉遺教。杖而會葬者數百千人,極釋氏之哀榮,CC001n0001_p0132a06難乎如此!從父弟鄉貢進士同翊,撰唐故龍花寺內外臨壇大德韋和尚CC001n0001_p0132a07墓誌銘。
三三、唐丹陽三昧王寺尼法潤傳

三四、唐瑞州末山尼了然傳
CC001n0001_p0134a02CC001n0001_p0134a03了然,姓氏里居不傳。參高安大愚禪師,悟徹玄旨,機辯不窮。CC001n0001_p0134a04住瑞州末山,開堂接眾,宗師法匠,皆時造其門。一日,有灌溪和尚到CC001n0001_p0134a05來,問曰:「若道得相當即住,不然,即推倒禪牀。」便入堂內。然遣CC001n0001_p0134a06侍者問上座:「為遊山來?為佛法來?」溪曰:「為佛法來。」然乃陞座,溪CC001n0001_p0134a07上參,然問:「上座今日離何處?」曰:「路口。」然曰:「何不蓋卻?」CC001n0001_p0134a08溪無對,始禮拜。問:「如何是末山?」然曰:「不露頂。」曰:「如何CC001n0001_p0134a09是末山主?」然曰:「非男女相。」溪乃喝曰:「何不變去?」然曰:「不CC001n0001_p0134a10是神,不是鬼,變箇甚麼?」溪於是服膺,作園頭三載。僧至參,然CC001n0001_p0134a11曰:「太繿縷生。」曰:「雖然如此,且是師子兒。」然曰:「既是師子CC001n0001_p0134a12兒,為甚麼被文殊騎?」僧無對。問:「如何是古佛心?」然曰:「世界傾壞。」CC001n0001_p0134a13曰:「世界為甚麼傾壞?」然曰:「寧無我身。」
三五、唐西蜀慈光寺尼海印傳
CC001n0001_p0135a02CC001n0001_p0135a03海印,唐末人,住西蜀慈光寺。才思清峻,落筆成韻,全唐詩所CC001n0001_p0135a04採僧詩甚多,而尼眾只印一人,亦僅舟夜一章,彌可貴矣!其句云:「水CC001n0001_p0135a05色連天色,風聲益浪聲;旅人歸思苦,漁叟夢魂驚。舉棹雲先到,移CC001n0001_p0135a06舟月逐行;旋吟詩句罷,猶見遠山橫。」餘作想亦稱此,惜皆不傳。
