J38nB418_p0531a04康熙壬午,師受大宗伯杜臻、閣學徐嘉炎、太史朱彝J38nB418_p0531a05尊、銓部袁定遠、明經朱建子,并本寺各房耆舊公請,J38nB418_p0531a06於七月初三日入院。山門。「真如實際,到者方知。法法J38nB418_p0531a07圓融,無內無外。既無內外,豈用週遮?」拽拄杖便入。
J38nB418_p0531a08彌勒。彈指一下,云:「樓閣門開,大笑盈腮,重重華藏,面J38nB418_p0531a09面如來。」
J38nB418_p0531a10護法關公。「忠良報國,真誠衛法。一片赤心,千古斯人,J38nB418_p0531a11功勳蓋代,今日重論。」
J38nB418_p0531a12佛殿。「二千七百年前,你不知我;二千七百年後,我不J38nB418_p0531a13知你。今朝覿面相逢,如何即是?」便展具禮拜。
J38nB418_p0531a14伽藍祠。「聰明正直,惟德是輔,顯正除邪,責任賴汝。」
J38nB418_p0531a15祖師堂。「直指單傳,嶽頂波翻。以心印心,海底塵生。二J38nB418_p0531a16三四七,成群作隊。天下橫行,為殃為祟。悔煞當年,落J38nB418_p0531a17伊深計」。
J38nB418_p0531a18據室。卓杖一下,云:「者是臨濟喫三頓痛棒,向高安灘J38nB418_p0531a19上還拳,歸來倒捋虎鬚底所在。而今莫有恁麼衲僧J38nB418_p0531a20麼?」良久,云:「設有,也只是個驢漢。」
J38nB418_p0531a21當日徐瑜斯、徐華隱二位老護法設齋,請上堂。師至J38nB418_p0531a22法堂,拈疏云:「者是靈山會上付囑的,今日山僧親從J38nB418_p0531a23老護法手中得來,甚生光彩,若要大眾共知,且聽表J38nB418_p0531a24白敷宣。」宣畢,師指法座曰:「既到者裏,難容推卻,平地J38nB418_p0531a25昇高,將錯就錯。」便陞座,拈香云:「此瓣香端為祝延J38nB418_p0531a26大清世主今上皇帝萬歲萬萬歲,伏願化協廣被乎J38nB418_p0531a27邊表,睿知明超乎日月。此瓣香奉為 滿朝文武、本J38nB418_p0531a28省本府、嘉秀兩邑諸大尊官,伏願壽基永固,祿位高J38nB418_p0531a29增。此瓣香奉為請主闔郡紳衿士庶、諸大護法、本寺J38nB418_p0531a30各房諸位禪宿,伏願遞代簪纓,箕裘奕葉,以因趣果,J38nB418_p0531b01悟佛真宗。此瓣香供養本寺開山祖師、歷代住持,伏J38nB418_p0531b02願不違本誓,擁護法幢。」乃於懷中拈出云:「此瓣香三J38nB418_p0531b03十一年六住破院,波波挈挈,一無所成。今第七回拈J38nB418_p0531b04出,供養初住廬山東林、末住碧雲龍興、傳臨濟正宗J38nB418_p0531b05第三十二世先師山鐸大和尚,不惟報德酬恩,且要J38nB418_p0531b06熏天炙地。」斂衣就坐。西堂帝青白椎畢,師曰:「第一義J38nB418_p0531b07諦猶獅王哮吼,虛空震裂,異類潛蹤,野狐絕跡,莫有J38nB418_p0531b08共相激揚者麼?試出道看。」雲巖書記問:「梧桐葉落,催J38nB418_p0531b09錦字以飄來;浥露寒飛,值塞鴻之初至。正恁麼時,虎J38nB418_p0531b10驟龍驤,如何折合?」師曰:「目前無闍黎,此間無老僧。」云:J38nB418_p0531b11「如何是斬新條令一句?」師曰:「撥轉乾坤,猶非好手。」云:J38nB418_p0531b12「如何是為人親切處?」師便喝。云:「者一喝還有賓主也J38nB418_p0531b13無?」師曰:「你試分疏看。」云:「大家在者裏。」師曰:「上座在什J38nB418_p0531b14麼處?」雲拂袖歸位。師曰:「放過一著。」巨章書記問:「未離J38nB418_p0531b15陶朱里畔,已入真如寶所。如何是不涉程途句?」師曰:J38nB418_p0531b16「水行不動波,陸行不動塵。」云:「一句無私超彼此,還將J38nB418_p0531b17何法報君恩?」師曰:「堯風永扇,舜日長明。」云:「如何是真J38nB418_p0531b18如境?」師曰:「鴛鴦湖畔浮屠迥,放鶴洲前略彴平。」云:「如J38nB418_p0531b19何是真如人?」師曰:「橫按吹毛,佛魔乞命。」云:「如何是真J38nB418_p0531b20如體?」師豎起拂子。云:「如何是真如用?」師揮拂子。云:「如J38nB418_p0531b21何是真如法身?」師曰:「周沙界而無內,溥乾坤而無外。」J38nB418_p0531b22云:「真如已蒙師指示,向上還有事也無?」師曰:「寶塔尖J38nB418_p0531b23頭擊靜鐘。」云:「恁麼則金風吹黃葉,秋色滿人間。」師曰:J38nB418_p0531b24「換卻時人雙眼睛。」問:「當空懸杲日,遍界盡光輝。和尚J38nB418_p0531b25昨日金明,今日真如,且道相去多少?」師曰:「不隔纖塵。」J38nB418_p0531b26云:「還有把手共行者麼?」師曰:「獅子遊行,不假伴侶。」云:J38nB418_p0531b27「家內人須知家裏事,如何是家裏事?」師曰:「幾多人向J38nB418_p0531b28個中迷?」云:「到家消息子,畢竟許誰知?」師曰:「昔年老達J38nB418_p0531b29磨,當門缺兩齒。」云:「萬里雲收天界淨,海心無浪月輪J38nB418_p0531b30輝。」師曰:「觀瞻有分。」乃曰:「總山河大地,不出真如境界;J38nB418_p0531c01普乾坤國土,只在寶塔顛頭。進一步,重重彌勒樓閣、J38nB418_p0531c02華藏莊嚴;退一步,處處普賢玅境、毘盧法界。塵塵爾、J38nB418_p0531c03剎剎爾,一一天真、一一明玅。現前大眾於茲會得,皇J38nB418_p0531c04恩、佛恩、父母師長恩一時報盡。只如今日眾護法請J38nB418_p0531c05山僧入院陞座祝聖一句又作麼生?」卓杖一下,云:「蕩J38nB418_p0531c06蕩皇風成一片,大家共樂舜堯年。」敘謝不錄。復舉:「裴J38nB418_p0531c07相國到洪州開元寺,見壁間畫像,問院主曰:『此是甚J38nB418_p0531c08麼像?』主曰:『高僧真儀。』裴曰:『真儀可觀,高僧何在?』主無J38nB418_p0531c09對。裴曰:『此間有禪僧麼?』適黃檗和尚至,院主曰:『適來J38nB418_p0531c10一僧似是禪師。』裴召至,問:『真儀可觀,高僧何在?』黃檗J38nB418_p0531c11高聲曰:『裴休!』裴應諾。檗曰:『高僧何在?』裴于此大悟。」師J38nB418_p0531c12曰:「相國偶逢沽酒店,三杯兩盞破愁顏;黃檗絲綸浮J38nB418_p0531c13綠水,引得鯨鰲上直鉤。現前長者恁麼會得,便與相J38nB418_p0531c14國同一鼻孔出氣,當年黃檗不前,今日真如不後。倘J38nB418_p0531c15或佇顧停思,劈開華嶽連天秀,放出黃河倒海聲。」西J38nB418_p0531c16堂結椎,師下座。
J38nB418_p0531c17當晚,小參。「千差坐斷,凡聖情忘。迥脫根塵,真機獨露。J38nB418_p0531c18與麼會,半句猶多;不與麼會,莫怪饒舌。」拈拄杖一卓,J38nB418_p0531c19曰:「者片田地,人人具足。空劫以前,平坦坦地。假使三J38nB418_p0531c20災劫壞,大地成塵,湛寂凝然,猶之真如古剎,未有秀J38nB418_p0531c21州之始,此地不少一塵。及至裴相國舍宅為寺,殿塔J38nB418_p0531c22巍峨,此地不多一塵。故東山老祖曰:『山前一片閒田J38nB418_p0531c23地,叉手叮嚀問祖翁。幾度賣來還自買,為憐松竹引J38nB418_p0531c24清風。』者裏見得徹,正好勤力耕耘,加護營衛,息滅貪J38nB418_p0531c25嗔癡,莊嚴戒定慧,則七情不能擾、六賊不能害,在在J38nB418_p0531c26寶所,觸處光輝。只如得大受用一句又作麼生?」卓杖J38nB418_p0531c27一下,云:「四海浪平龍睡穩,九天雲淨鶴飛高。」
J38nB418_p0531c28上堂。「諸佛出世,皆為眾生不了自心,橫計多能,妄執J38nB418_p0531c29前程影事,作種種業因。殊不知但有心分別作解,就J38nB418_p0531c30是虛妄,猶如夢中虛假不實。故經云:『縱此心者,喪人J38nB418_p0532a01善事。制之一處,無事不辦。』《易》云:『寂然不動,感而遂通。』J38nB418_p0532a02又《禮》云:『人生而靜,天之性也。感於物動,性之欲也。』雖J38nB418_p0532a03於生死分上未為究竟,依而行之,久習淳致,始終不J38nB418_p0532a04異,自到大休大歇田地,方知三教聖人言不苟立。今J38nB418_p0532a05時學道,夢眼未開,不達心源,見網難脫。若敲冰取火,J38nB418_p0532a06如緣木求魚,修行三大劫,終是落空亡。大眾切須猛J38nB418_p0532a07省好。」
J38nB418_p0532a08中秋,街坊點塔燈,小參。「長空碧帳一輪月,常樂浮屠J38nB418_p0532a09百二燈,燈光燦爛,月色洞明,燈照月,月照燈,燈月交J38nB418_p0532a10輝,乾坤晃耀,水底星連上下,長空月映東西,現前緇J38nB418_p0532a11素之所共見,眼光爍破虛空,汝等還知麼?」良久,云:「更J38nB418_p0532a12聽一偈:風飄丹桂香清遠,露滴蒼梧葉落輕,寶塔鐘J38nB418_p0532a13聲來耳畔,黑牛海底暗生驚。」
J38nB418_p0532a14重陽,示眾。「乍住真如一無有,堪堪度到九月九,東籬J38nB418_p0532a15黃菊報新開,令人翻憶陶五柳。興來效俗也登高,直J38nB418_p0532a16上浮屠最高所,極目山河萬象攢,出頭天外誰把手?J38nB418_p0532a17遍插茱萸少一人,三玄三要難分剖,雖然一句羨汾J38nB418_p0532a18陽,拈得鼻孔失卻口。臨濟老白拈,賊身藏沒所,一盞J38nB418_p0532a19清茶醉殺人,個般滋味君知否?」
J38nB418_p0532a20龍興和尚忌,拈香。拈香云:「只此一瓣香,一年燒一度,J38nB418_p0532a21相逢每每悔當初,相見幸如不相識,不知為什成冤J38nB418_p0532a22恨?含恩含怨到今日。何也?曲不藏直。」
J38nB418_p0532a23十月十五日,上堂。「諸方此日年年結,真如門下絕安J38nB418_p0532a24排,周法界而無內,普乾坤而無外。菩薩乘不居,寂滅J38nB418_p0532a25行何修?行住坐臥,自在自由,超方上士猶為分外,未J38nB418_p0532a26到家者仔細觀瞻。臨濟大師道:『有一無位真人,常在J38nB418_p0532a27面門出入。』真如今日為諸人下個註腳。」乃拈杖召眾,J38nB418_p0532a28眾回顧,師曰:「者就是你無量劫來刀割不斷、斧劈不J38nB418_p0532a29破底生死冤家,切不得錯認。」便起身入室。
J38nB418_p0532a30小參。「到荊山必得其玉,入藍田必得其珠,舉網者必J38nB418_p0532b01得其魚,善射者必得其鹿,是人之欲無有不遂其志J38nB418_p0532b02耳。衲僧家參禪學道,還有實解實證者麼?」良久,眾無J38nB418_p0532b03對。師曰:「諸兄弟莫錯用工夫。不見道:『汝欲求之,得無J38nB418_p0532b04累乎?及其厭之,又成大患。』斯言至矣。珍重。」
J38nB418_p0532b05佛成道日,上堂。「雪嶺六年苦,雲淨天如洗。明星當午J38nB418_p0532b06現,奇哉歎不已。」卓拄杖一下,曰:「老瞿曇好不識羞,便J38nB418_p0532b07謂一切眾生皆因妄執而不能證自己智慧德相。雖J38nB418_p0532b08則易開終始口,爍然難盡歲寒心。」
J38nB418_p0532b09除歲,小參。「年年此日結交頭,人人此日結交日,結交J38nB418_p0532b10日到來,諸人作麼生?於斯透得,最初句、末後句不消J38nB418_p0532b11一句道盡,洞山君臣、臨濟玄要皆是門庭施設,趙州J38nB418_p0532b12茶、雲門餅、禾山鼓、雪峰毬、乾矢橛、麻三斤、北禪露地J38nB418_p0532b13牛、法昌榾柮火是甚閒家具?若透不得,臘月三十日J38nB418_p0532b14閻羅王打筭飯錢如何抵敵?語言文字、世智辯聰還J38nB418_p0532b15抵敵得麼?奇才玅用、百工技巧還抵敵得麼?平生所J38nB418_p0532b16作事業功能還抵敵得麼?要且總沒交涉。大眾!如人J38nB418_p0532b17飲水,冷煖自知,若要無事,直須向自己命根上一刀J38nB418_p0532b18兩段,方有少分相應,莫到臨末稍頭,道我不為你說J38nB418_p0532b19好。古人道:『三途地獄未是苦,鑊湯熱鐵未是苦,刀山J38nB418_p0532b20劍樹未是苦,袈裟下失卻人身實為苦哉。』大眾!不是J38nB418_p0532b21說過便了,年窮歲盡、地冷天寒,且歸煖室商量。」
J38nB418_p0532b22元旦,上堂。「元正啟祚,三十六宮宮宮光彩;萬物維新,J38nB418_p0532b23七十二樓樓樓顯煥。應時納佑,龍吟霧起,虎嘯風生,J38nB418_p0532b24慶無不宜。葉秀無根草,花綻不萌枝。恭惟頭首大眾J38nB418_p0532b25萬福,金剛圈一任拋擲,栗棘蓬一任吞吐,廓開正眼,J38nB418_p0532b26法令斬新,大地山河,七通八達。然則如是,今晨乃康J38nB418_p0532b27熙四十二年三百六十日之初,真如有四種大願,也J38nB418_p0532b28要一眾該知。」起身合掌,云:「一願皇帝萬歲,二願臣統J38nB418_p0532b29千秋,三願天下太平,四願萬民樂業。」便下座。
J38nB418_p0532b30元宵,上堂。「真如者裏,孤風峭峻,迥出尋常,不效諸方。J38nB418_p0532c01從十月十五日結,結又結個甚麼?至正月十五日解,J38nB418_p0532c02解又解個什麼?須知真如實際,無解無結,無悟無迷。J38nB418_p0532c03諸人還理會得麼?」良久,云:「莫將閒學解,埋沒自家心。」
J38nB418_p0532c04佛涅槃日,上堂。「湖光瀲灩,草色青幽。岸柳垂金,碧桃J38nB418_p0532c05吐玉。無非紫磨金色之身。」驀豎拂子曰:「大眾!者是釋J38nB418_p0532c06迦老子金色身,汝等瞻仰取足,莫令後悔。還恁麼會J38nB418_p0532c07麼?」良久,放下拂子曰:「真如今日,無計可施。」乃合掌曰:J38nB418_p0532c08「南無釋迦牟尼,伏惟尚饗。」
J38nB418_p0532c09聖壽,上堂。「堯風淡蕩,蟠桃璨玉葉之花;舜日雍熙,大J38nB418_p0532c10椿毓金枝之秀。斗樞電繞,百億山河咸歸至化;麟鳳J38nB418_p0532c11祥開,三千世界共仰聖謨。大哉乾元兮,高而無上;煥J38nB418_p0532c12乎化日兮,明以舒長。真如今日四眾雲擁,恰似靈山J38nB418_p0532c13一會,考鐘伐鼓,熱瓣紫檀,共祝聖筭,地久天長。」
J38nB418_p0532c14多雲和尚訃至,上堂。「去秋八月,西風暴烈。多雲吹散,J38nB418_p0532c15法幢頓折。黃梅道上,後進何依?佛法海中,津梁忽歇。」J38nB418_p0532c16以袖掩口,云:「哀哀!三千里外,熱淚灑襟懷。」
J38nB418_p0532c17佛誕日,上堂。舉世尊初生因緣畢,師頌曰:「未離兜率J38nB418_p0532c18天,先已降閻浮。乾坤誇獨步,千古仰風流。」又舉雲門J38nB418_p0532c19話,頌曰:「堪羨雲門跛,認的老瞿曇。一棒血淋淋,深恨J38nB418_p0532c20落二三。」
J38nB418_p0532c21結夏,小參。「禪禪,三腳蝦蟆上梵天;道道,五爪烏龜戴J38nB418_p0532c22鐵帽;心心,玉兔懷胎臥紫宸;佛佛,泥牛踏碎蒼龍窟。J38nB418_p0532c23真如今日盡情為諸人拈出了也,任你東拋西擲、放J38nB418_p0532c24去收來、橫咬豎嚼,驀地裏把捉得、拈弄得,我也不免J38nB418_p0532c25為你打入犁耕拔舌。」
J38nB418_p0532c26祈雨,上堂。「上天久不窪甘霖,河竭田枯煙燄生,載道J38nB418_p0532c27怨嗟聲不已,慇懃只願雨滂漰。五方龍神,千靈萬靈,J38nB418_p0532c28甘霖速降,體天裕民。」以拄杖點空,曰:「打破虛空,旱魃J38nB418_p0532c29消形,油然雲作,沛然雨傾。」
J38nB418_p0532c30上堂。舉:「夷峰寧祖參月溪澂禪師,見僧請益,溪曰:『佛J38nB418_p0533a01法不是鮮魚,怕爛卻那?』即趁出。峰豁然頓悟。」師頌曰:J38nB418_p0533a02「偶遊仙苑競春臺,滿地鋪花掃未開。一陣香風雲外J38nB418_p0533a03至,千林曉色瀉金杯。」
J38nB418_p0533a04解夏,小參。「西來者一缺,九十日期無人參得徹,攤向J38nB418_p0533a05鴛鴦湖西、綵雲橋北,日炙風吹,見不得、聞不得,怎似J38nB418_p0533a06雲門乾矢橛?衲僧家東也話、西也說,三千里外倘逢J38nB418_p0533a07人,切忌莫錯說。」
J38nB418_p0533a08得雨,示眾。拈拄杖,云:「拄杖子𨁝跳上三十三天,築著J38nB418_p0533a09帝釋鼻孔,東海鯉魚打一棒,雨似盆傾。然則如是,且J38nB418_p0533a10道此雨從天得耶?從人得耶?」卓杖一下,云:「三草二木J38nB418_p0533a11皆蒙潤,萬里歌謠樂太平。」
J38nB418_p0533a12十月十五日,上堂。「不與千聖同途,不與萬法為侶,超J38nB418_p0533a13出古皇前,何處求解脫?但饑則喫飯,困則打眠,應物J38nB418_p0533a14應機,了了常明,又說什麼解結?又說什麼生死?要且J38nB418_p0533a15無佛法可會,無妄想可除,無禪可參,無道可學。大眾!J38nB418_p0533a16只如不涉功勳一句作麼生道?」卓杖一下,「虛消白晝J38nB418_p0533a17渾閒事,謾將佛法錯商量。」
J38nB418_p0533a18臘八,說菩薩戒,上堂。舉:「世尊在正覺山前夜睹明星J38nB418_p0533a19大悟,乃曰:『奇哉!一切眾生俱有如來智慧德相,但以J38nB418_p0533a20妄想執著而不能證得。』大眾!釋迦老子悟得的便是J38nB418_p0533a21光明金剛寶戒,亦名心地法門、亦名本源佛性、亦名J38nB418_p0533a22不壞寶體、亦名華光三昧。於斯理會得,法法頭頭是J38nB418_p0533a23汝等清淨寶戒、是汝等本源自性波羅提木叉。故曰:J38nB418_p0533a24『眾生受佛戒,即入諸佛位;位同大覺已,真是諸佛子。』」J38nB418_p0533a25拈拄杖,卓一下:「諸仁者!玅善戒法灌汝身心,還如是J38nB418_p0533a26薦取麼?」又一卓,云:「生佛一源無二路,皆緣執相有多J38nB418_p0533a27門。」
J38nB418_p0533a28除歲立春,小參。拈杖一卓,曰:「天旋地幹轉篷根,臘盡J38nB418_p0533a29春回物象新,舊閣田園荒隴北,何人把手日耕耘?諸J38nB418_p0533a30兄弟!急惺惺,三十六旬已過了,莫待渴來方掘井,和J38nB418_p0533b01盤托出大家看,看盡還須猛自省。」驀豎拄杖,云:「看!看!J38nB418_p0533b02拄杖夜半忽抽條,五葉花開千蕊饒,九天瑞氣騰寰J38nB418_p0533b03宇,萬國含香噴紫霄。」卓杖一下,曰:「伏惟執事大眾尊J38nB418_p0533b04候萬福。」
J38nB418_p0533b05歲旦,上堂。「大地山河放般若之光,草木叢林展祖師J38nB418_p0533b06巴鼻,鴛鴦湖底火星飛,仁王塔上波濤湧,直得泥牛J38nB418_p0533b07哮吼、木馬奔騰,笑倒古觀堂前土地,喜殺常樂門邊J38nB418_p0533b08獅子,綵雲橋頭石敢當手之舞之、足之蹈之,高聲云:J38nB418_p0533b09『今是甚麼時節有此奇特?』」乃拈拄杖,云:「真如木上座J38nB418_p0533b10出來道:『今朝是四十三年第一日,上帝臨凡,諸神慶J38nB418_p0533b11賀,一切有情欣讚希有,有此奇特。』大眾且道:是真如J38nB418_p0533b12說的?還是諸人見的?」卓杖一下,曰:「只此見聞非見聞,J38nB418_p0533b13無餘聲色可呈君,和風淑氣春光好,大地歌謠賀太J38nB418_p0533b14平。」
J38nB418_p0533b15燈節,小參。「天上月,皎潔不露;人間燈,光輝奪目。打鼓J38nB418_p0533b16普請看,兩眼阿轆轆,極力細推詳,面前無一物。」復云:J38nB418_p0533b17「切忌眼裏著沙。」是夜無月。
J38nB418_p0533b18達磨初祖忌,拈香。「少室九年,已成話墮,熊耳空棺,醜J38nB418_p0533b19遺魏國。那更蔥嶺遇宋雲,認定胡僧門齒缺,累及後J38nB418_p0533b20代不關風,呵佛罵祖不肯歇。笑你的,辱你的,仔細思J38nB418_p0533b21量來,是你自招得。」
J38nB418_p0533b22上堂。「三界一切法,皆不離於心,於心無可得,一切法J38nB418_p0533b23何有?大眾!從上佛祖只教斷離妄緣,莫存知解;天下J38nB418_p0533b24知識亦云休去歇去,免役心田。真如者裏無禪可參、J38nB418_p0533b25無道可學,也只要你盡情放下平坦坦地,魔佛入作J38nB418_p0533b26無門、罪福不能染著,起居無執,動靜一如,自得大受J38nB418_p0533b27用、大安樂田地。若是未得悄然,泥於句下,稱色力康J38nB418_p0533b28健,急忙打疊,莫待臨時。珍重!」
J38nB418_p0533b29佛誕,上堂。提起拂子,云:「者是如來淨法身,百寶莊嚴J38nB418_p0533b30功德聚。」以手作掬水澆勢,云:「九龍吐水浴金軀,光明J38nB418_p0533c01照耀無邊世。須彌山頂,瑞氣騰九天之上;娑竭龍宮,J38nB418_p0533c02寶珠散沙界之中。塵塵煥彩,處處光明,情與無情,各J38nB418_p0533c03證如來法身。」復提起,云:「者裏有證得如來法身的麼?J38nB418_p0533c04證與不證,一總為你浴過。」以拂子擊禪床一下。
J38nB418_p0533c05端節,示眾。「前年五月五,土宿當堂跨猛虎,大鬼拍,小J38nB418_p0533c06鬼舞,夜半鍾馗失卻斗。去年五月五,善財拾藥連根J38nB418_p0533c07苦,雖然殺活貴臨時,看來只在文殊手。今年五月五,J38nB418_p0533c08金木水火土,推尋不落五行中,三腳瞎驢顛倒走,撞J38nB418_p0533c09著天台老豐干,一物不將來,無處可下手,失腳一跌,J38nB418_p0533c10落在深溪,扼得來,恰是一具無鬚鎖,五通仙人以神J38nB418_p0533c11力托至梵天,用盡機關,巧施神鑰,欲開不能,眾中莫J38nB418_p0533c12有開得者麼?」擊拂子,云:「等閒一掣掣得開,三個老婆J38nB418_p0533c13相對坐。」
J38nB418_p0533c14中秋。「靈山話月,曹溪指月,寒山比月,南泉玩月,盤山J38nB418_p0533c15孤月,普明半月。」以拂子畫○相,云:「都來不出真如者J38nB418_p0533c16個月。何以見得?」乃擊拂子,云:「此夜一輪滿,清光何處J38nB418_p0533c17無?」
J38nB418_p0533c18先龍興忌日,拈香。「三十三年前九月十五日,是我先J38nB418_p0533c19龍興飲洋銅、吞熱鐵,打入驢胎馬腹去也。今日真如J38nB418_p0533c20一眾,還有救得他出的麼?」良久,云:「即饒救得,堪作何J38nB418_p0533c21用?」乃燒香拜云:「也須禮你三拜。」
J38nB418_p0533c22上堂。「紅葉飄零,體露金風。雁離紫塞,跡遺長空。霞光J38nB418_p0533c23彩鋪大地,漁舟蕩漾西東。真如盡日渾無事,看罷歸J38nB418_p0533c24來說苦空。不解逢迎成懶癖,自來嘗羨信天翁。」
J38nB418_p0533c25除歲,小參。「有物先天地,無形本寂寥,能為萬象主,不J38nB418_p0533c26逐四時凋。傅大師道雖十成,不免遭人檢點。既云寂J38nB418_p0533c27寥無形,天地之先有何物?又云不逐四時凋,誰為萬J38nB418_p0533c28象之主?殊不知:天無私蓋,地無私載,春生夏長,秋收J38nB418_p0533c29冬藏,元運循環,終而復始。真如不烹露地牛、不燒榾J38nB418_p0533c30柮火、不蒸黃栗糕、不炊黍米飯。有一偈酬傅大士,兼J38nB418_p0534a01與諸人分歲:有物天地始,化育諸群品,丕極自泰來,J38nB418_p0534a02任運無窮已。恁麼道,不免遭人檢點。諸人還檢點得J38nB418_p0534a03出麼?若道山僧的是,有違傅大士;若道傅大士的是,J38nB418_p0534a04辜負山僧;若道二俱是,儱侗真如,瞞頇佛性;若道俱J38nB418_p0534a05不是,失卻衲僧眼目。檢點得出,日消萬兩,不為分外;J38nB418_p0534a06檢點不出,到臘月三十日將何祗對黑面大王?諸人J38nB418_p0534a07試檢點看。」良久,揮拂子:「一氣不言含有象,萬靈何處J38nB418_p0534a08謝無私?」
J38nB418_p0534a09元旦,上堂。「昨日舊年尾,爆竹聲聲,洪音灌耳;今日新J38nB418_p0534a10年頭,梅花點點,香風撲鼻。鴛鴦湖畔,冰消凍解;常樂J38nB418_p0534a11門前,臘盡春回。三草二木,噴蕊萌芽;萬象森羅,光騰J38nB418_p0534a12瑞湧。邦國以之昇樂,宗風由之振興。恭惟頭首大眾,J38nB418_p0534a13千祥雲集,百福咸增。」
J38nB418_p0534a14韋天開光。師拈杖曰:「十世童真體,此日現天身。末後J38nB418_p0534a15樓至佛,靈山授記真。願力週沙土,神威遍界尊。擁護J38nB418_p0534a16伽籃地,三寶是身心。威神叵測,弘誓難思。輔正摧邪,J38nB418_p0534a17無在不在。真如今日起模畫樣,不免頓新光彩。」以杖J38nB418_p0534a18點韋天像額云:「點開正眼,洞照十方。擁護真如,威鎮J38nB418_p0534a19八荒。」梓人開木後,示夢於施主,有「擁護真如」四字見J38nB418_p0534a20於木身指尖,遂迎於真如供奉。
J38nB418_p0534a21燈節,小參。「皓月湧長空,春風吹八極,萬象與森羅,咸J38nB418_p0534a22共生歡喜。一一為諸人發向上機,演第一義,無位真J38nB418_p0534a23人出赤肉團上,提玉庫刀、跨飛龍馬,走遍四部洲,與J38nB418_p0534a24月光、燈藏二菩薩在太末蟲眼裏作無量莊嚴、演無J38nB418_p0534a25量玅義,成就無量佛事,一一天真、一一明玅。於此時J38nB418_p0534a26中,摩訶大迦葉手之舞之、足之蹈之,山河大地一齊J38nB418_p0534a27作舞,曹溪道上風動旛、旛動風,南山虎擺尾搖頭,溈J38nB418_p0534a28山牛東觸西觸,禾山打鼓、雪峰輥毬、石鞏張弓、道吾J38nB418_p0534a29舞笏。」驀喝,云:「被真如一喝喝住,各依次第定。大眾!若J38nB418_p0534a30不恁麼鬧啾啾底,有什麼了期?」便起身入室。
J38nB418_p0534b01示眾。「三界輪迴,皆由一心。因癡有愛,流轉無極。妄執J38nB418_p0534b02前程,異計紛紜。從生至生,從劫至劫,無有住時。若能J38nB418_p0534b03回光返照,達本自心,從無量劫來,湛然空寂。只此個J38nB418_p0534b04空寂之量,大包天地,細入微塵。靜諦則了了現前,擬J38nB418_p0534b05向則在在無見。不住內外中間,取不得,捨不得,處處J38nB418_p0534b06覓不得,有一處不覓自得。大眾!還如是會麼?上而諸J38nB418_p0534b07佛聖賢,下而六道眾生,無不承此示現受生。故曰:人J38nB418_p0534b08人本具,個個不無。所以臨濟大師不得已,道個赤肉J38nB418_p0534b09團上有一無位真人,常在汝等面門出入。汝等切須J38nB418_p0534b10好看。」乃拈拄杖卓一下,曰:「直饒恁麼會,也是餬餅裏J38nB418_p0534b11咂汁。」
J38nB418_p0534b12示眾。「經云:『知一切法即心自性,則成就慧身,不由他J38nB418_p0534b13悟。』大眾!要知一切境界,即是汝之心量。若於境界上J38nB418_p0534b14了達自心,一切處、一切時,心境重重,互照雙融,便是J38nB418_p0534b15真如不二法門。故祖師道:『不二皆同,無不包融。十方J38nB418_p0534b16智者,皆入此宗。』恁麼會得,盡十方世界無纖毫過患,J38nB418_p0534b17剎剎塵塵無毫髮增減、無毫髮滲漏,一一皆從我胸J38nB418_p0534b18中流出,又有何佛可成?何眾生可度?何道可學?何禪J38nB418_p0534b19可參?然則如是,須是恁麼人方堪共語。近時師僧家J38nB418_p0534b20多是偏執,學教者棄本外求,專記名言;參禪者亡機J38nB418_p0534b21內觀,枯耽空寂。各滯一隅,何時得恰好去?」以拂子召J38nB418_p0534b22眾曰:「諸兄弟!稱而今色力康健,急忙打疊得乾乾淨J38nB418_p0534b23淨,不被諸境牽纏、不被法塵拘縛,始有少分相應。古J38nB418_p0534b24人云:『心中悟無窮之境,境上了難思之心。心境雙融,J38nB418_p0534b25智照斯在。』」乃擊拂子曰:「頓破無明生死盡,菩提般若J38nB418_p0534b26總皆非。」
J38nB418_p0534b27小參。舉:「雪竇顯為道日損偈曰:『三分光陰早二過,靈J38nB418_p0534b28臺一點不揩磨,區區逐日貪生去,喚不回頭怎奈何?』」J38nB418_p0534b29師曰:「雪竇慈悲之故,刳腹剜心,若是祖師關捩,何曾J38nB418_p0534b30夢見?然則恁麼,怎奈相逢者少?真如且不然,三世諸J38nB418_p0534c01佛口掛壁,過現未來絕消息,睡到日午始翻身,夜醉J38nB418_p0534c02樓頭人不識。」
J38nB418_p0534c03佛誕,示眾。舉世尊初生及雲門話畢,復舉:「斷橋和尚J38nB418_p0534c04曰:『老胡出來做者一解,自謂前無去人、後無來者,那J38nB418_p0534c05知千載之下有個跛腳阿師不肯放過?雖然如是,卞J38nB418_p0534c06和之璧不因函秦,安得天下知有連城之價?』」師曰:「瞿J38nB418_p0534c07曇起模畫樣,雲門看孔著楔。斷橋老漢恁麼道,也是J38nB418_p0534c08隨邪逐惡。若據真如見處,好各與二十棒。眾中還有J38nB418_p0534c09辨得出者麼?若辨得出,許他具衲僧眼目。」良久,云:「直J38nB418_p0534c10饒辨得出,者裏喫棒有分。」
J38nB418_p0534c11中秋,小參。「真如者裏,八表洞開;廣寒宮殿,十虛通徹。J38nB418_p0534c12影映千江,光吞萬象;一法平等,前後際斷。大眾!於斯J38nB418_p0534c13見得透,清光圓湛,貫古通今;於斯不爾,切須猛地搆J38nB418_p0534c14取。」
J38nB418_p0534c15臘八,小參。舉世尊睹星話畢,師曰:「釋迦老子夢眼見J38nB418_p0534c16空花,熟睡饒寱語,謂一切眾生以妄想執著而不證J38nB418_p0534c17得,又謂螻蟻蚊蚋無有言說而能辦事,前言不復後J38nB418_p0534c18語,不奈六年坐苦,詐道睹星大悟,豈六年中無一夜J38nB418_p0534c19有明星而獨現於此夜耶?正所謂敢保玄沙道的。眾J38nB418_p0534c20中莫有為釋迦老子雪屈者麼?」乃拈杖召眾,曰:「真如J38nB418_p0534c21不是毀剝先聖,只要諸人識得自己落處。還有麼?」卓J38nB418_p0534c22杖一下。
J38nB418_p0534c23主佛開光。拈拄杖卓一卓,曰:「佛身充滿於法界,無去J38nB418_p0534c24無來亦無住,恁麼則普乾坤世界總是一個法身,諸J38nB418_p0534c25人還見麼?」以杖指佛像,曰:「昔日雲門要打殺,今朝真J38nB418_p0534c26如特扶起,且道打的是?扶的是?者裏分辨得出,施主J38nB418_p0534c27修佛已竟;若分辨不出,且聽木上座主裁。」左邊一點,J38nB418_p0534c28云:「光通三際。」右邊一點,云:「爍破十虛。天人群生類,稽J38nB418_p0534c29首無上尊,山河及大地,全露法王身。」便展拜。
J38nB418_p0534c30除歲,茶話。「住茲三載餘,平素絕追攀,叢林百不足,七J38nB418_p0535a01事甚教難。租稅納官了,廚庫總枵然,今夜值分歲,茶J38nB418_p0535a02果謾周全。幸有一家讌,東山五祖傳,一曲囉囉哩,更J38nB418_p0535a03歌哩囉連。囉囉送,莫妄傳,哩囉連,共交歡歡歡。」乃拍J38nB418_p0535a04掌云:「拍雙大空手,明日接新年。」
J38nB418_p0535a05元旦,上堂。拈杖曰:「昨宵已謂今朝接,今日新年來較J38nB418_p0535a06徹,爆竹傾天響似雷,迸斷虛空脊梁骨。常樂塔中四J38nB418_p0535a07大天王次第推策,順看則二十三眼,逆數則一十一J38nB418_p0535a08節,總道今年熟蠶麥,惟有羅睺羅獨欠那一訣。要會J38nB418_p0535a09麼?」以杖畫[○@∴]相云:「天得之以清,地得之以寧,人間得J38nB418_p0535a10之共享太平。」
J38nB418_p0535a11補石長老至,上堂。拈拂子豎起,云:「即此用,離此用,拈J38nB418_p0535a12來放下,阿誰敢動?」喝一喝,云:「青天霹靂,三日耳聾,無J38nB418_p0535a13端恁麼舉,喪盡平生。冤冤相報幾時清?」以拂子擊香J38nB418_p0535a14几三下,云:「甜瓜甜徹蒂,苦瓠苦連根。」
J38nB418_p0535a15佛涅槃日,小參。舉:「世尊於涅槃會上以手磨胸告眾,J38nB418_p0535a16膏肓之疾不能療治。『汝等善觀吾紫磨金色之身,瞻J38nB418_p0535a17仰取足,勿令後悔。』寱語狂言,轉見不堪。『若謂吾滅度,J38nB418_p0535a18非吾弟子;若謂吾不滅度,亦非吾弟子。』求生不得、求J38nB418_p0535a19死不得。時百萬億眾悉皆契悟,墮在毒海,無有出頭J38nB418_p0535a20時節。恁麼時,若有個頭正尾正底衲僧向世尊左耳J38nB418_p0535a21邊吹一吹,云:『老瞿曇!休捏怪。』他自慚惶無地,不死也J38nB418_p0535a22未可料,亦令百萬之眾免致信邪倒見。」
J38nB418_p0535a23退院,小參。「二十四載,七住破院,九會玄徒。逢善不喜,J38nB418_p0535a24遇惡無瞋。𣰏𣰏𣯧𣯧,無固無必。𣰦𣰦毿毿,非假非真。J38nB418_p0535a25佛來魔來,莫我與爭。只因宿業緣深,以致四大乖違。J38nB418_p0535a26茲則退靜於白苧村邊,故乃特辭是真如祖剎。愧無J38nB418_p0535a27力以補叢林,賴吾徒以匡宗社。若欲真風不墜,直須J38nB418_p0535a28棒下無生。且道光前裕後一句又作麼生?」喝一喝,拽J38nB418_p0535a29杖便行。
