阿育王經:「昔阿恕伽王使道人說法時以步障遮諸J23nB122_p0114a13婦女使其聽法爾時法師為諸婦女說法恒說施論J23nB122_p0114a14生天之論有一婦女分犯王法發幕向法師前問言J23nB122_p0114a15如來大覺於菩提樹下說諸法時覺悟施戒耶更悟餘J23nB122_p0114a16法耶?』法師答言:『佛覺一切有漏法皆苦猶若融鐵此苦J23nB122_p0114a17從集而生猶如毒樹修八正道以滅苦集。』是女人得J23nB122_p0114a18聞此語獲須陀洹道以刀繫頸往到王所白王言:『我今J23nB122_p0114a19日犯王重法願王以法治我。』王問言:『汝犯何事?』答言:『J23nB122_p0114a20破王禁制至道人所譬如渴牛不避於死我實渴於佛J23nB122_p0114a21是以默突聽法。』王問言:『汝聽法時頗有所得不?』答言J23nB122_p0114a22得法見四真諦解陰入界及以諸大皆知無我遂得法J23nB122_p0114a23。』王聞是語踊躍歡喜即為作禮便唱令言:『自今J23nB122_p0114a24不作障隔樂聽法者直至法師所對面聽法。』嘆曰:『奇哉J23nB122_p0114a25我宮內乃出人寶。』」以是因緣當知聽法有大利益J23nB122_p0114a26寶藏經:「爾時般遮羅國以五百白雁獻波斯匿王J23nB122_p0114a27令送著祗桓精舍雁見僧聚來在前立佛以一音說法J23nB122_p0114b01眾生各得類解當時群雁亦解僧語聞法歡喜鳴聲相J23nB122_p0114b02後飛至餘處獵師以網都覆殺之一雁作聲諸雁皆J23nB122_p0114b03謂聽法時聲乘是善心生忉利天五百天子即時來J23nB122_p0114b04在如來邊佛為說法悉得須陀洹波斯匿王過到佛J23nB122_p0114b05便問:『此中諸雁向何處去?』佛言:『諸雁飛去為獵師所J23nB122_p0114b06命終生天今日五百諸天子等著好天冠端正殊特J23nB122_p0114b07者是今日聽法皆得須陀洹。』王問佛言:『此群雁以何業J23nB122_p0114b08墮於畜生命終生天今日得道?』佛言:『昔迦葉佛時J23nB122_p0114b09百女人盡共受戒用心不堅毀所受戒墮畜生中作此J23nB122_p0114b10雁身以受戒故得值如來聞法獲道。』」

古時畜生所以能語今時畜生所以不能語謂劫初時J23nB122_p0115c26先有人天未有三惡從人天中來以宿習近故是以能J23nB122_p0115c27今時畜生從三惡道中來是以不能語婆沙論J23nB122_p0116a01謂於生處自性能知過去宿命乃知他心於其生處不J23nB122_p0116a02假修因自性而知此智遍通五趣若諸有情住在母胎J23nB122_p0116a03及出胎時不受眾病迫窄苦者皆應能憶過去生事J23nB122_p0116a04由母病及迫窄苦皆悉忘之如鬼趣中亦有生處得智J23nB122_p0116a05知他心等昔有女人為鬼所魅嬴瘦將死咒師問鬼:「J23nB122_p0116a06今何為惱此女人?」鬼便報言:「此女過去五百生中嘗害J23nB122_p0116a07我命我亦過去五百生中常害彼命怨怨相報於今未J23nB122_p0116a08彼若能捨我亦捨之。」咒師因報彼女人曰:「汝若惜命J23nB122_p0116a09當捨怨心。」女人報言:「我亦捨矣。」鬼觀女意都不捨怨J23nB122_p0116a10命不全妄言遂斷其命畜生趣中亦有宿命智J23nB122_p0116a11婆沙論昔有一女置兒在地緣行他處時有一狼將J23nB122_p0116a12其兒去其母趁言:「汝狼何以將我兒去。」狼即報言:「汝是J23nB122_p0116a13我怨曾於五百生中嘗食我兒我今還欲於五百生J23nB122_p0116a14害汝子此乃怨仇相報何以生?」作是報復更語言J23nB122_p0116a15若汝能捨怨害者我則放汝之子。」兒母報言:「我捨怨心。」J23nB122_p0116a16時狼即便起坐思惟:「觀彼女人之心仍知不捨。」還復語J23nB122_p0116a17:「汝雖口言心猶不捨。」作是語即便斷其兒命而去J23nB122_p0116a18此乃自識宿命知彼之心最為良驗

佛說師子月佛本生經:「佛在王舍城迦蘭陀竹園J23nB122_p0116a21與大比丘眾千二百五十比丘百菩薩俱爾時眾中J23nB122_p0116a22一菩薩比丘名婆須蜜多遊行竹園間緣樹上下聲如J23nB122_p0116a23獼猴或旋三鈴作那羅戲時諸長者及行路人兢集看J23nB122_p0116a24時耆闍崛山八萬四千金色獼猴集菩薩所菩薩復J23nB122_p0116a25作種種變現令其歡喜有一梵志上啟頻婆沙羅王J23nB122_p0116a26敕長者迦蘭陀曰:『此諸釋子多聚獼猴在園如來知不?』J23nB122_p0116a27長者啟王:『婆須蜜多作變化事令諸獼猴一時歡喜J23nB122_p0116b01天雨華持用供養。』爾時大王前後導從往詣佛所遙見J23nB122_p0116b02世尊身放光明如紫金山普令大眾同於金色尊者蜜J23nB122_p0116b03及八萬四千獼猴亦作金色時諸獼猴見大王來J23nB122_p0116b04種種變中有採華奉上大王者大王見與諸大眾J23nB122_p0116b05至佛所作禮右遶三匝卻坐一面白佛言:『此諸獼猴宿J23nB122_p0116b06有何福身作金色復有何罪生畜生中尊者蜜多復宿J23nB122_p0116b07植何福生長者家出家學道復有何罪雖生人中諸根J23nB122_p0116b08具足不持戒行與諸獼猴共為伴侶歌語之聲悉如獼J23nB122_p0116b09惟願世尊為我分別。』佛告大王:『乃往過去無量億劫J23nB122_p0116b10有佛出世名曰燃燈彼佛滅後有諸比丘於山澤中J23nB122_p0116b11修行佛道堅持禁戒得阿羅漢時空澤中有一獼猴J23nB122_p0116b12羅漢所見羅漢坐禪入定即取羅漢坐具披作袈裟J23nB122_p0116b13袒右肩手擎香爐遶比丘行時彼比丘從定覺見此J23nB122_p0116b14獼猴有好善心即為彈指告獼猴言:「法子汝今應發無J23nB122_p0116b15上道心。」獼猴聞說歡喜踴躍五體投地敬禮比丘爾時J23nB122_p0116b16比丘即為獼猴說三皈依懺無量罪獼猴依教發願J23nB122_p0116b17踴躍歡喜走上高山懸樹墮死由受五戒破畜生業J23nB122_p0116b18即生兜率天上值一生補處菩薩為說道心即持天華J23nB122_p0116b19下空澤中供養羅漢羅漢見即便微笑告言:「往返去J23nB122_p0116b20此閻浮提有佛出世名曰寶慧如來至涅槃後於像法J23nB122_p0116b21有一比丘名蓮花藏多與國王長者居士而為親友J23nB122_p0116b22邪命諂曲不持戒行身壞命終落阿鼻獄具受諸苦J23nB122_p0116b23命一劫劫盡更生如是經歷諸大地獄滿八萬四千劫J23nB122_p0116b24從地獄出墮餓鬼中吞飲鎔銅經八萬四千歲從餓鬼J23nB122_p0116b25復墮牛豬狗猴中各五百身緣前供養持戒今得生J23nB122_p0116b26。」彼獼猴者雖是畜生一見羅漢受持三皈及以五戒J23nB122_p0116b27緣前功德超越千劫從是以後值佛無數淨修梵行具J23nB122_p0116c01六波羅蜜住不退地於最后身次彌勒後當成阿耨菩J23nB122_p0116c02。』佛告大王:『欲知彼國師子月佛者今此會中婆須蜜J23nB122_p0116c03多比丘是也。』王聞此語即起合掌向婆須蜜多頭面著J23nB122_p0116c04接足為禮懺悔前罪佛告大王:『欲知此等八萬四千J23nB122_p0116c05金色獼猴者乃是過去拘樓秦佛時波羅柰國拘睒彌J23nB122_p0116c06二國之中共有八萬四千比丘尼行諸非法犯諸重J23nB122_p0116c07狂愚無智如痴獼猴時有羅漢比丘尼名善安隱J23nB122_p0116c08為說法見諸惡人不生善心即起慈悲身升虛空作十J23nB122_p0116c09八變時諸惡人見變化各脫金環散阿羅漢尼上:「J23nB122_p0116c10我生生身作金色。」時諸惡人身壞命終墮阿鼻地獄J23nB122_p0116c11第經歷至九十二劫從地獄出五百身中恒為餓鬼J23nB122_p0116c12餓鬼出一千身中常為獼猴身作金色。』佛告大王:『J23nB122_p0116c13意業不可不慎!』爾時王聞佛說對佛懺悔豁然意解J23nB122_p0116c14阿那含王所將八千人求佛出家並成羅漢餘一萬六J23nB122_p0116c15千人皆發菩提心八萬諸天亦俱發心八萬四千金色J23nB122_p0116c16獼猴聞昔因緣慚愧自責遶佛千匝向佛懺悔各發無J23nB122_p0116c17上菩提心次第出世同共一劫劫名大光同名並金光J23nB122_p0116c18明如來。」

晉羊大傅祜字叔子泰山人也西晉名臣聲冠區夏J23nB122_p0116c21五歲時嘗令乳母取先所弄指環乳母曰:「汝本無此J23nB122_p0116c22何取耶?」祜曰:「昔於東垣邊弄之落桑樹中。」乳母曰:「汝可J23nB122_p0116c23自覓。」祜曰:「此非先宅兒不知處。」後因出門遊望逕而東J23nB122_p0116c24乳母隨之至李氏家乃入至東垣樹下探得小環J23nB122_p0116c25氏驚悵曰:「吾子昔有此環常愛弄之七歲暴亡亡後不J23nB122_p0116c26知環處此亡兒之物也云何持去?」祜持環走李氏遂問J23nB122_p0116c27之乳母既說祜言李氏悲喜遂欲求祜還為其兒堅中J23nB122_p0117a01解喻然後得止祜後為荊州都督鎮襄陽經給武當寺J23nB122_p0117a02殊餘精舍後因懺悔敘說因果乃曰:「前世承有諸罪J23nB122_p0117a03造此寺故獲申濟也。」

阿育王經:「昔阿恕伽王深信三寶供養佛眾僧J23nB122_p0118c06諸婆羅門外道等皆生嫉妒共相集聚揀選宿舊取五J23nB122_p0118c07百人皆誦四韋陀典天文地理無不博達共集議言:『J23nB122_p0118c08恕伽王一切盡供養剃髮頭禿人我等宿舊未曾被問J23nB122_p0118c09當設何方便使彼意迴?』有一善祝婆羅門語諸婆羅門J23nB122_p0118c10:『諸賢但從我後卻後七日我當以祝力作魔醯首羅J23nB122_p0118c11飛行到王宮門汝等皆當步從我後能使其大作供J23nB122_p0118c12。』到七日時善祝飛到王宮諸婆羅門亦皆侍從遣人J23nB122_p0118c13白王言:『虛空中有魔醯首羅將四百九十九婆羅門J23nB122_p0118c14空來下今在門外欲得見王。』阿恕伽王喚使來前坐於J23nB122_p0118c15西廂床上王言:『欲何所須?』答言:『須飲食。』即敕廚中擎五J23nB122_p0118c16百案飲食著前魔醯首羅等皆手推言:『我從生J23nB122_p0118c17曾食如此食。』阿恕伽王答曰:『先不約敕不知當食何食?』J23nB122_p0118c18魔醯首羅等皆同聲言:『我之所食食剃頭禿人。』阿恕伽J23nB122_p0118c19王即敕一臣:『汝往到雞頭末寺語尊者耶奢:「王宮內有J23nB122_p0118c20五百婆羅門一自稱言魔醯首羅不知為是人為是惡J23nB122_p0118c21羅剎請問所以願阿闍黎來為我驅遣使去。」』所使之人J23nB122_p0118c22是邪見婆羅門弟子作是言:『正欲得汝沙門作食。』上座J23nB122_p0118c23耶奢即語維那鳴椎集僧起辭眾僧言:『我年眾僧J23nB122_p0118c24安隱護持佛法聽我使去。』第二上座言:『上座不應去J23nB122_p0118c25身無所堪惟我應去。』第三者言:『第二上座不應去還應J23nB122_p0118c26我去。』如是展轉乃至沙彌十六萬八千僧中其最下頭J23nB122_p0118c27七歲沙彌起至眾僧中長跪合掌而作是言:『一切大僧J23nB122_p0119a01不足擾動我既幼小不能堪任護持佛法惟願一去。』J23nB122_p0119a02座耶奢極大歡喜手摩沙彌頭:『汝合去。』使人先往J23nB122_p0119a03恕伽言:『頗有來者不?』使人答言:『更相推致令最下沙彌J23nB122_p0119a04。』王即出門迎坐此沙彌著御座上諸婆羅門皆大瞋J23nB122_p0119a05:『阿恕伽王大不識別我等宿德尚不起迎為此小兒J23nB122_p0119a06而自出迎?』沙彌問言:『何以見喚?』王時答言:『此魔醯首羅J23nB122_p0119a07欲得阿闍梨作食。』沙彌言:『我年幼小朝來未食王先施J23nB122_p0119a08我食然後我當與彼令食。』王即敕廚宰擎食來與食J23nB122_p0119a09案都盡如是擎五百案食皆未足王復敕廚家言:『所有J23nB122_p0119a10餘食盡持擎來與沙彌得食。』忽爾都盡問言:『足不?』答言J23nB122_p0119a11猶未足。』王言:『一切飲食悉盡更無有食。』沙彌言:『撮下頭J23nB122_p0119a12婆羅門將來我欲食之。』即時噉盡如是悉食四百九十J23nB122_p0119a13九婆羅門皆盡惟有魔醯首羅極大驚怖飛向空中欲J23nB122_p0119a14沙彌即時座上舉手從虛空中撮頭來噉王即時驚J23nB122_p0119a15沙彌知王心念即與王言:『王是佛法檀越終無損減J23nB122_p0119a16慎莫驚怕王能共至雞頭末寺不?』王言:『阿闍梨將我上J23nB122_p0119a17天入地皆當隨從。』沙彌即時共王到寺王見沙彌朝所J23nB122_p0119a18食之食諸眾僧等皆分共食所食五百婆羅門皆剃除J23nB122_p0119a19髮鬚被著法衣在諸眾僧下行末坐最初食者最在上J23nB122_p0119a20魔醯首羅最在行末五百人見王沙彌極生慚愧:『J23nB122_p0119a21等猶如鶴尾俟於爐炭猶如蚊子與金翅鳥角飛猶如J23nB122_p0119a22小兔與獅子王爭威如此不自度量。』生慚愧得須陀J23nB122_p0119a23洹道。」
