四明普陀別菴性統禪師原籍潼川安岳族龍氏J39nB445_p0355a07業儒國朝新命父明宇公歸農高梁因為川東人J39nB445_p0355a08李氏方孕明公夢白龍浮江衛一童子入懷囑善保J39nB445_p0355a09覺與李氏誓曰:「若生子必令出家現白龍示淨業J39nB445_p0355a10。」後果生師甫三月即延西龍無言禪師命名六歲J39nB445_p0355a11就鄉塾以資學冠一時年十一將謀脫白業師鐘愛J39nB445_p0355a12不欲令僧謂明公曰:「公之子誠科甲中人物奈何J39nB445_p0355a13棄置乃爾?」是時總戎李公在側詰師曰:「做官好做和J39nB445_p0355a14尚好?」師曰:「做和尚好。」明公曰:「兒志自決矣。」值言公示J39nB445_p0355a15遂拔高峰老人薙染從又山證公習諸經論久之J39nB445_p0355a16請益峰參究下手工夫峰曰:「只須向自家屋裡打點。」J39nB445_p0355a17乃將平日讀過經史從頭細檢究無下手處峰一日J39nB445_p0355a18論天命章至莫見莫顯句舉瓶鵝公案相發明J39nB445_p0355a19未了師不覺欣然點首峰驀面便掌師曰:「出也出也。」J39nB445_p0355a20峰呵呵大笑是年圓晟命克侍司適慶雲衡山禪師J39nB445_p0355a21師晨起問候值山瞑目端坐次師禮拜起震威一J39nB445_p0355a22山拈杖便打師曰:「和尚棒折也。」山復端坐不顧J39nB445_p0355a23:「者老漢猶向者裡覓牛在。」山趨謂峰曰:「喜兄得箇J39nB445_p0355a24晚子了。」一日隨峰山行次與同參浩浩論義峰顧師J39nB445_p0355a25:「汝只會得有何曾會得無?」師愕然無以對命看趙J39nB445_p0355a26州無字話經年偶因峰舉百丈開田因緣至展手處J39nB445_p0355a27大徹峰詰以淆訛公案五家宗旨酬對無滯時值峰J39nB445_p0355a28七旬同門會聚共請記莂於師峰囑以偈曰:「佛祖位J39nB445_p0355a29中人心如佛祖心佛祖位中人行如佛祖行心行如J39nB445_p0355a30佛祖自度度人竟願汝能自度還須共度人憑汝心J39nB445_p0355b01與行肇興我聚雲莫辜同門望莫負老僧心叮嚀囑J39nB445_p0355b02付汝乘願度群情。」尋俾首眾康熙乙丑峰歸寂遂繼J39nB445_p0355b03席焉因憶峰遺命於次年走江浙丐塔銘於嘉禾J39nB445_p0355b04相沈公踵徑山掃大慧祖塔會山曉禪師邀入天童J39nB445_p0355b05浙提贊伯陳公同縉紳任甫屠公等請主普陀未幾J39nB445_p0355b06值 聖駕南巡降帑寵異法社煥然一新受武J39nB445_p0355b07林檀護請兼挕東園永壽

開爐上堂。「照用齊施J39nB445_p0355b08殺中即全活權實兼到雙放處具雙收剿絕根塵J39nB445_p0355b09除窠臼鉗錘高舉一任煆凡煆聖爐韝弘開何妨烹J39nB445_p0355b10佛烹祖頑銅鈍鐵一氣銷鎔躍冶真金自無變色J39nB445_p0355b11圓通沒闊窄烈燄堆中一點雪畢竟如何季秋不J39nB445_p0355b12孟冬猶熱。」擊拂子下座

上堂。「世尊不說說迦葉不J39nB445_p0355b13聞聞聞說俱不得日午打三更西方日出卯南山下J39nB445_p0355b14雨北山雲打麵還他州土麥唱歌須是帝鄉人桃花J39nB445_p0355b15入眼瘦柳色照眉青。」

至節上堂。「葭管灰飛一線天J39nB445_p0355b16繡帷深鎖避嚴寒東君懊惱情無極故向梅腮點舊J39nB445_p0355b17急薦取莫瞞盰恐待春臨花似錦千紅萬紫不勝J39nB445_p0355b18。」

上堂:「拈花一派今日重宣鎮海說法普利人J39nB445_p0355b19世尊成道一句速道速道。」師曰:「一人傳虛萬人傳J39nB445_p0355b20。」:「王恩施衣說戒憲臺延座設齋報答一句又作J39nB445_p0355b21麼生?」師曰:「協帝高懸心地印從王細透祖師關。」:「J39nB445_p0355b22弓高掛狼煙息四海謳歌樂太平。」師曰:「道泰不傳天J39nB445_p0355b23子令時清休唱太平歌。」:「一箭雙鵰成玅道總持萬J39nB445_p0355b24法定乾坤。」師曰:「如何是定乾坤句?」:「向上勿勞提持J39nB445_p0355b25覿面即請分付。」師便打:「大眾證盟。」師曰:「且莫詐明J39nB445_p0355b26。」:「雲覆草廬成錦繡巍巍氣象奪乾坤門外許多J39nB445_p0355b27新弟子誰作靈山第一人?」師曰:「獅子窟中無異獸。」J39nB445_p0355b28還有優劣也無?」師曰:「象王行處絕狐蹤。」:「恁麼則共J39nB445_p0355b29承記莂去也。」師曰:「切忌妄承當。」:「人人鼻孔撩天J39nB445_p0355b30箇心空及第文殊是七佛之師因甚出女子定不得?」J39nB445_p0355c01師曰:「當初無計入紅樓入得紅樓休便休。」:「罔明大J39nB445_p0355c02士是初地菩薩因甚出得女子定?」師曰:「不如當初不J39nB445_p0355c03相識也無煩惱也無愁。」:「寒至梅先艷春來花自香。」J39nB445_p0355c04師曰:「乾兌離震巽坎艮坤。」乃曰:「人人盡懷無價珠J39nB445_p0355c05待睹星方觸發可怪瞿曇不唧溜無端夜半顛狂發J39nB445_p0355c06大眾須知者顆無價衣珠不從天降不屬地生匪從J39nB445_p0355c07人得聖帝保此以奠定乾坤王公保此以翼贊皇猷J39nB445_p0355c08將軍保此以威行天下當今皇恩浩蕩海禁大弛J39nB445_p0355c09伽勝地重整舊基聖帝明王依珠不昧提臺陳侯仰J39nB445_p0355c10承上意委員飯僧呵護戒壇延請山僧陞於此座J39nB445_p0355c11非為汝諸人揭示無價衣珠。」豎拄杖:「喚作無價珠J39nB445_p0355c12卻是拄杖子喚作拄杖子卻是無價珠畢竟如何得J39nB445_p0355c13相應去?」卓拄杖:「從前汗馬無人識只要重論蓋世J39nB445_p0355c14。」

上堂:「煦日融融能照徹大千世界不曾藏J39nB445_p0355c15千世界即不問三玄三要事如何?」師曰:「次第問將來。」J39nB445_p0355c16:「如何是第一玄?」師曰:「崑崙赤腳點青天。」「如何是第J39nB445_p0355c17二玄?」師曰:「獅王反躑威音前。」「如何是第三玄?」師曰:「J39nB445_p0355c18猻上樹尾連顛。」:「如何是第一要?」師曰:「靈符把斷生J39nB445_p0355c19生竅。」「如何是第二要?」師曰:「屏絕端倪呈奧妙。」「如何是J39nB445_p0355c20第三要?」師曰:「浩浩紅塵那得到。」:「三玄三要蒙師指J39nB445_p0355c21覿面相逢事如何?」師便打僧禮拜乃曰:「花雨繽紛洩J39nB445_p0355c22祖機春風吹散滿柯枝朱勻十二欄干曲徙移其間J39nB445_p0355c23盡展眉看破也乾坤失色瞞盰著大地凝輝機權別J39nB445_p0355c24殺活縱奪以齊施就裡提持照用主賓以互換J39nB445_p0355c25時捏聚大千有時踏碎須彌從教石女吹笙海底行J39nB445_p0355c26木人掌板雲中拍得得得酥酪攪醍醐醍醐變毒藥J39nB445_p0355c27於此下得口來廬陵白米一任飽餐設或未然喫水J39nB445_p0355c28也須防噎。」

天使賚帑金至上堂。「堯天永戴舜日長J39nB445_p0355c29一人有慶萬國咸寧海噬山陬簡在帝心恩給內J39nB445_p0355c30為膏為霖誰居化外敢臥雲深山無量海無量J39nB445_p0356a01呼願祝於遐齡。」擔拄杖作舞祝勢:「分付鳳凰池上J39nB445_p0356a02大家齊賀太平春。」

小參。「向上一路千聖不傳J39nB445_p0356a03上一路千聖不然不傳不然鳴聲熱碗畢竟如何?」J39nB445_p0356a04拂子:「箇是秦時𨍏轢鑽。」復舉:「睦州示眾云:『諸人未J39nB445_p0356a05得箇入處須得箇入處既得箇入處切莫忘卻老僧。』J39nB445_p0356a06鼓山云:『恁麼說話面皮厚多少木菴則不然諸人未J39nB445_p0356a07得箇入處須得箇入處既得箇入處直須颺下入處J39nB445_p0356a08始得。』」師曰:「睦州憐兒不覺醜帶累鼓山舌頭拖地J39nB445_p0356a09點將來二俱不了普陀則不然諸人未得箇入處J39nB445_p0356a10得箇入處既得箇入處快來者裡喫棒。」

解七小參J39nB445_p0356a11連日無端東葛西葛惑亂諸人墮拔舌犁耕去也。」J39nB445_p0356a12張口:「看山僧舌頭還在麼?」良久:「欲得不招無間J39nB445_p0356a13莫謗如來正法轉。」

小參:「生從何來?」師拈拄杖J39nB445_p0356a14:「從者裡來。」「死從何去?」師打曰:「從者裡去。」:「不生不J39nB445_p0356a15畢竟在甚麼處?」師放下拄杖曰:「甚麼處曾生滅?」J39nB445_p0356a16祖意西來即不問臨濟三句請師宣。」師曰:「你從那裡J39nB445_p0356a17記得來?」:「第一句薦得堪與佛祖為師如何是第一J39nB445_p0356a18?」師曰:「龜毛長三尺。」「第二句薦得堪與人天為師J39nB445_p0356a19何是第二句?」師曰:「翻轉威音前。」「第三句薦得自救不J39nB445_p0356a20如何是第三句?」師曰:「再道即不堪。」:「三句蒙師指J39nB445_p0356a21普陀意若何?」師曰:「誰許汝覷著。」乃曰:「一大藏教未曾J39nB445_p0356a22說著一字說甚玄要主賓殺活縱奪生死章句堪當J39nB445_p0356a23宗乘古往今來行棒行喝施照施用盡是一盲引眾J39nB445_p0356a24普陀者裡一味平實接待不作奇特商量結制J39nB445_p0356a25教參禪考工不提悟道困倦者教伊休息惰慢者逼J39nB445_p0356a26伊勤謹聽伊行住坐臥運出家珍周旋俯仰不借他J39nB445_p0356a27一箇箇淨裸裸赤灑灑無生死可究無佛法可得J39nB445_p0356a28堪與佛祖為師堪與人天為師說甚自救不了任運J39nB445_p0356a29騰騰無拘無束祗饒明日無飯喫今日亦不憂忽拄J39nB445_p0356a30杖子不平道:『長老恁麼說話盡是脫空搜盡一大藏J39nB445_p0356b01無此等誑語既是明日無飯喫今日安得不憂?』J39nB445_p0356b02僧但向他道:『木上座明則明矣實有未知何故不見J39nB445_p0356b03美食不中飽人餐。』」

示眾:「座有數千指當機者J39nB445_p0356b04是誰?」師曰:「覿面薦取。」:「覿面交鋒即且止草賊大敗J39nB445_p0356b05是如何?」師打曰:「和根掃盡。」:「棒頭撥開真龍眼喝下J39nB445_p0356b06全施陷虎機。」師曰:「汝且班師回朝。」:「得勝還邦又作J39nB445_p0356b07麼生?」師曰:「屬目論英雄。」:「出群須是英靈漢敵勝還J39nB445_p0356b08他獅子兒。」師曰:「誰是其人?」乃曰:「大凡做工夫如捕賊J39nB445_p0356b09相似欲捕真賊先須辨賊情由渠無依著去住隨時J39nB445_p0356b10渠無繫戀出沒任意迎之莫見其首隨之莫見其尾J39nB445_p0356b11出入無時莫知其鄉當面白拈猶其餘事舉家劫奪J39nB445_p0356b12未是全威於此辨得分明向無捉摸處下番毒手J39nB445_p0356b13有端倪處大施縱擒故高峰先師曰:『一不做二不休J39nB445_p0356b14殺人須究親下手捉賊要拿真領頭的的拿定領頭J39nB445_p0356b15漸加馴伏使彼熟處漸生生處漸熟與彼同住動靜J39nB445_p0356b16無拘與彼同行無分先後到此田地方知大中無外J39nB445_p0356b17賊是家親雖然如是猶未是放手時節且道如何是J39nB445_p0356b18放手時節直待金星現歸家始到頭。』」

示眾。「菡萏愁J39nB445_p0356b19炎逼芙渠恨熱忙薰風自南來殿閣生微涼擬問如J39nB445_p0356b20何若何箇中不用商量會得秤錘是鐵不會雪上加J39nB445_p0356b21。」

示眾。「近時道流類多務華少實鮮見有真參實J39nB445_p0356b22悟者何謂真參如高峰廿年死關長慶七破蒲團J39nB445_p0356b23光立雪斷臂者便是箇真參的樣子何謂實悟如靈J39nB445_p0356b24雲見桃花香巖聞擊竹黃蘗聞舉吐舌者便是箇實J39nB445_p0356b25悟的樣子必如是然後可以了生脫死超佛越祖J39nB445_p0356b26昆仲中有一箇半箇如古人者麼此箇地位亦不必J39nB445_p0356b27向外馳求直須向自己屋裡打點生死人人本有J39nB445_p0356b28知生之來處是生之事重不知死之去處是死之事J39nB445_p0356b29生死既重則工夫不提自起勤勤懇懇時繼以日J39nB445_p0356b30日繼以月月繼以年久久純熟忽然冷灰豆爆方知J39nB445_p0356c01井中原自有水瓮裡何曾失鱉天上天下惟我獨尊J39nB445_p0356c02又何佛祖之足稱耶若一向矜禪者之名裝禪者之J39nB445_p0356c03逞舌辨為機鋒憑意想為解會千生百劫頭出頭J39nB445_p0356c04無有了期豈不大可怖畏今一七雖終結制方始J39nB445_p0356c05各宜努力勿恣怠緩珍重。」

高峰老人三周送牌位J39nB445_p0356c06入嘉禾天寧祖堂。「有佛處不得住無佛處急走過J39nB445_p0356c07人恁麼道老人恁麼舉大似藏身處沒縱跡沒縱跡J39nB445_p0356c08處莫藏身正眼看來難瞞識者不肖性統今值滿服J39nB445_p0356c09之期欲就老人本位指箇落處貴圖永鎮千秋且道J39nB445_p0356c10如何是本位聻?」遂捧牌位至祖堂安位:「有佛處切J39nB445_p0356c11須住無佛處勿走過鴛湖風月舊時輝檇李露花香J39nB445_p0356c12正熟!」

師至五祖一僧於石上磨剃刀次時有小J39nB445_p0356c13雀傍立僧曰:「者雀得恁麼大膽?」師曰:「情知汝刀不利。」J39nB445_p0356c14僧舉刀作斫勢雀便飛去師曰:「果然不利。」僧曰:「何以J39nB445_p0356c15見得?」師曰:「若利即飛不去也。」

數僧自奉化來參J39nB445_p0356c16問曰:「我聞奉化八鄉是否?」俱曰:「。」師曰:「彌勒出在那J39nB445_p0356c17一鄉?」俱曰:「奉化鄉。」師曰:「奉化許汝等住未識彌勒在。」J39nB445_p0356c18一僧曰:「某甲只知本鄉。」師曰:「那箇是你本鄉?」:「長壽J39nB445_p0356c19。」師曰:「者不是本鄉。」眾罔措

師臥次笑旨侍者展J39nB445_p0356c20趙州相請師閱師曰:「那裡得者像來?」旨曰:「一人傳虛J39nB445_p0356c21萬人傳實。」師曰:「也是依樣畫葫蘆。」復展西域文殊相J39nB445_p0356c22師曰:「東土的聻?」旨曰:「見臥次。」師曰:「我不是文殊。」旨曰J39nB445_p0356c23今日塗污和尚。」師顧旁僧曰:「放下帳子著。」

僧問:「J39nB445_p0356c24何是戒?」師曰:「披枷帶鎖。」「如何是定?」師曰:「寒巖枯木。」「J39nB445_p0356c25何是慧?」師曰:「髑髏眼睛。」

:「雲門要一棒打殺世尊J39nB445_p0356c26畢竟過在甚麼處?」師曰:「理無曲斷。」

士問:「如何是奪J39nB445_p0356c27人不奪境?」師曰:「森羅與萬象。」「如何是奪境不奪人?」J39nB445_p0356c28:「兩眼對兩眼。」「如何是人境兩俱奪?」師曰:「落花滿地J39nB445_p0356c29無人掃。」「如何是人境俱不奪?」師曰:「千紅萬紫任君看。」

:「萬法歸一一歸何處?」師曰:「常憶江南三月裡J39nB445_p0357a01鴣啼處百花香。」

總戎袁寶善性煒居士諱桂字蓮宇首參慶忠得法J39nB445_p0357a03高峰著有頌古行世自敘入道行由其略曰:「余忠州J39nB445_p0357a04人也世居石寶少時曾入公門甲申兵變後於隆武J39nB445_p0357a05二年內奉督師閣部王給劄團練禦守彈丸歷受國J39nB445_p0357a06見任總兵理屯田鹽務壬辰春慶忠鐵老人移錫J39nB445_p0357a07石寶余見德容不凡婉留供養老人每以機語指示J39nB445_p0357a08余酷酒沉迷全不知醒是歲佛誕日老人誡曰:『居士J39nB445_p0357a09有地方之責還須節飲庶保無虞。』余愧悔無地回衙J39nB445_p0357a10即呈偈曰:『酒是人間祿無貪無不足打穿麴孽缸J39nB445_p0357a11斷輪迴肉。』老人甚喜為余取名燈煒號寶善室人名J39nB445_p0357a12燈智號朴素闔家持齋教余參無字話頭初覺有味J39nB445_p0357a13久之毫無影響不覺冤家路窄遇著三山本師出江J39nB445_p0357a14省候老人余書一偈令人呈覽師一筆塗卻余躬禮J39nB445_p0357a15師曰:『是甚麼?』余無對師打余一掌余啞口含冤J39nB445_p0357a16請師開法崇聖余皈依座下執弟子禮一面理公J39nB445_p0357a17面參究本師令余頌青州公案頌曰:『著起青州衫J39nB445_p0357a18家去拜年承待厚與薄止得盡情言。』師曰:『且信一半。』J39nB445_p0357a19時癸巳新正事也一日本師上堂余問:『如何是尊貴J39nB445_p0357a20一句?』師曰:『九重深密處。』余曰:『恁麼則彩鳳呈祥後J39nB445_p0357a21王鎮帝都。』師曰:『道甚麼?』余禮拜而退如此問答機緣J39nB445_p0357a22不可盡舉癸巳秋本師置一問:『若人識得心大地無J39nB445_p0357a23寸土既是無寸土向何處安身立命?』余頌答不恰J39nB445_p0357a24師痛罵一番余乃盡情放下晝夜苦參不踰月一夕J39nB445_p0357a25聞桶蓋墜地忽然擊破疑關隨說偈曰:『本來無一物J39nB445_p0357a26作巧弄工夫撲地翻筋斗毒藥是醍醐。』從此鼻孔通J39nB445_p0357a27出入自由每與本師唱和馬嘴不對驢頭師喜曰J39nB445_p0357a28居士異日解綬著緇當為吾宗嫡嗣。』以偈囑余:『火裡J39nB445_p0357a29蓮華迥異常一枝特出露新粧他年馥郁人天眾J39nB445_p0357a30孔傳來滿地香。』余白曰:『師恩難報某甲更名性煒。』J39nB445_p0357b01:『且待著。』自愧業纏不了有負大慈豈料吾師太毒J39nB445_p0357b02命余將平日著頌公案六十則刊行余思出家喫飯J39nB445_p0357b03穿衣在家穿衣喫飯都是本分為人一場打鬨何幹J39nB445_p0357b04只這些閒言剩語傳得也好不傳也好設有箇旁不J39nB445_p0357b05肯底出來道:『而皮厚多少?』余不免呵呵大笑曰:『寶善J39nB445_p0357b06今朝失利。』」

舉世尊陞座因緣頌曰:「短棹驚飛水上J39nB445_p0357b07兩行空自沒來由春江不盡風流意半似贏乖半J39nB445_p0357b08似羞。」

舉魯祖面壁因緣頌曰:「赤尾龍門逐浪過J39nB445_p0357b09翁捲釣意如何直鉤不似尋常餌惟聽金鱗躍碧波。」

舉藥山問石頭:「聞南方有直指人心見性成佛之J39nB445_p0357b11未審是否?」頭云:「恁麼也不得不恁麼也不得恁麼J39nB445_p0357b12不恁麼總不得。」頌曰:「當初無計入紅樓入得紅樓J39nB445_p0357b13休便休不如當初不相識也無煩惱也無愁。」

舉世J39nB445_p0357b14尊拈花因緣頌曰:「登壇點將為蒼生細柳營開按轡J39nB445_p0357b15閫外不知天子詔至今猶重亞將軍。」

舉雲門東J39nB445_p0357b16山水上行話頌曰:「嶺頭紅杏一枝開鬥雪迎風香滿J39nB445_p0357b17自是春英藏不住從教蜂蝶傍牆來。」

舉乾峰上J39nB445_p0357b18堂舉一不得舉二話頌曰:「夜繡烏雞彩色奇暗中一J39nB445_p0357b19線少人知平空操出無絃韻流水高山別賦詩。」

史沈克齋赤肩性宗居士諱廷勱字子相秀水人J39nB445_p0357b21世科甲公少時咿唔雞窗便慕宗乘歷叩名宿各有J39nB445_p0357b22機契及宦遊西蜀新寧民淳事減益得究心是時J39nB445_p0357b23峰應向化侯請來主曇華密邇於新公謁焉言下領J39nB445_p0357b24迎峰至新居三月日蒙扣擊徹法源底峰為印可J39nB445_p0357b25未幾峰入浙新邑奉例裁併公得侍行旋嘉禾通於J39nB445_p0357b26郡之同人曹秋嶽王邁人朱茂時輩以天寧迎峰J39nB445_p0357b27錫二載法行江浙送聚雲三世語錄附楞嚴藏皆公J39nB445_p0357b28贊成之力也康熙庚峰回蜀公後補欒城牧商州J39nB445_p0357b29予告還里歷十有六年峰順世矣遺命屬公作銘J39nB445_p0357b30闡化四十餘年縉紳問道者何限不遠數千里獨以J39nB445_p0357c01後事委公其隆重為何如良由公進道之篤師資契J39nB445_p0357c02合有深焉者嘗自著參學緣起其略曰:「予少時潦倒J39nB445_p0357c03帖括中徵逐聲氣本來一著子當面錯過稍壯喜習J39nB445_p0357c04功過格偶閱陽明先生傳習錄》,好之尤愛象山慈湖J39nB445_p0357c05明道白沙心齋龍溪語以為自濂溪以來聖學真傳J39nB445_p0357c06在是四十外閱趙州大慧錄雖未盡領會然不忍釋J39nB445_p0357c07賴友人孔皜菴時時勸進此道孔茂弘者皜菴第J39nB445_p0357c08三子也偶閱睡中主公案疑情頓發力參半月即大J39nB445_p0357c09予與皜菴疑之俾通所見於靈隱具和尚具為印J39nB445_p0357c10余乃驚異始諦信焉由是始參柏樹子話壬寅秋J39nB445_p0357c11先兄郡丞鏡湄公捐館予悲不自解乃從嚴扆臣借J39nB445_p0357c12傳燈錄朝夕覽閱藉以忘懷偶謁介菴於金明方食J39nB445_p0357c13枇杷菴問:『是甚麼?』予曰:『枇杷。』菴厲聲曰:『入地獄如箭J39nB445_p0357c14。』又謁古雲於天寧雲曰:『居士手中是甚麼?』予曰:『J39nB445_p0357c15。』雲曰:『請用扇。』予用扇雲呵呵大笑今思二老皆直J39nB445_p0357c16提持奈當時不唧溜何癸卯二月幼子殤意緒不J39nB445_p0357c17乃力參柏樹子以自遣參至一念不萌者逾時J39nB445_p0357c18人來問話聞聲若雷心為震動以問茂弘茂弘曰J39nB445_p0357c19此是參得專一處正是好消息勉旃!』是歲四月入都J39nB445_p0357c20明年甲辰選授蜀東之新寧以道遠親老中心皇然J39nB445_p0357c21偕嚴覽民訪佛果於都門亦蒙策勵未領也自京南J39nB445_p0357c22將理西楫姻友陳玉仍過訪予邀嚴𨍏施繹修J39nB445_p0357c23兩先生並徐敬可孔茂弘共茶話是日頗多法戰J39nB445_p0357c24但屏息而已比西行與茂弘別因曰:『僕於此事切矣J39nB445_p0357c25茲遠適荒蜀聞彼中無事或可了僕素願子何以教J39nB445_p0357c26?』弘曰:『當作一方便然非工夫到極處切不可開。』J39nB445_p0357c27唯唯因授予方寸小封外書露字後書訂封處:『J39nB445_p0357c28極而開。』余珍重告別長江萬里舉目清曠心心不釋J39nB445_p0357c29自初秋起行至仲冬抵任無民無役二三僮僕苦之J39nB445_p0357c30先後謝去予反幸其山川窅寂意豁如也乙巳四月J39nB445_p0358a01謁破山和尚於高梁山贈偈云:『八千里外故人淚J39nB445_p0358a02十年來窮子心今日相逢真奇遘三生石上舊知音。』J39nB445_p0358a03時夔郡守邢公邀山於行署予陪侍次山以手作開J39nB445_p0358a04合勢云:『這是拳頭這是巴掌總是一箇不可偏廢的J39nB445_p0358a05道理。』丙午復謁山於雙桂山指壁畫車牛圖問曰:『J39nB445_p0358a06?』予曰:『不會。』山云:『若但打牛亦未是。』余稍有省比明J39nB445_p0358a07復請開示山云:『識法者懼。』余領之別後兩月而山順J39nB445_p0358a08世矣新邑聽雪牛目兩禪師破山之後也見地脫灑J39nB445_p0358a09予雅重之與往還酬對甚多是冬予往兼視開篆J39nB445_p0358a10有盛山西瞿兩禪宿而盛師稍近時蒙策勵甚切J39nB445_p0358a11存形跡每貽尺牘道誼凜然予間請開示柏樹子話J39nB445_p0358a12盛云:『此時不難為公道破恐向後公則罵僧去也。』J39nB445_p0358a13未四月謝篆歸新心益清豁每日危坐蒲團炷香自J39nB445_p0358a14至疑極處忽憶茂弘小封許我疑極而開今既疑J39nB445_p0358a15可以開矣比拆視不意內復加封又書云:『非有七J39nB445_p0358a16晝夜不間斷工夫切不可開。』予只得仍置匣中重新J39nB445_p0358a17再參刻意欲得七晝夜打成一片方敢開封其如要J39nB445_p0358a18七晝夜工夫無間再不可得此封亦遂不敢開但力J39nB445_p0358a19參如故五月中接家信知家嚴一目不明欲覓空青J39nB445_p0358a20醫治予遍訪無有不可奈何忽念藥師經可以祈年J39nB445_p0358a21明目乃虔請入署合衙持齋予跪誦於佛前一心祈J39nB445_p0358a22務期誦時不起一念誦畢一卷氣乏少停又恐心J39nB445_p0358a23神外馳即危坐單參萬法歸一一歸何處停參即誦J39nB445_p0358a24停誦即參覺夢寐中皆參皆誦七月自朔至望經完J39nB445_p0358a25余竟如彈指頃覺所參萬法歸一一歸何處宛爾現J39nB445_p0358a26偶記吹萬大師錄中曾有此拈示試取問證遂有J39nB445_p0358a27省發十月以公務往府道經磐城遂謁三山和尚於J39nB445_p0358a28曇華予請開示師問:『公本參何話?』予曰:『庭前柏樹子。』J39nB445_p0358a29師云:『作麼生會?』予云:『也只是目擊道存。』師云:『畢竟如J39nB445_p0358a30何是庭前柏樹子速道速道。』余擬對師云:『不是不是。』J39nB445_p0358b01予不覺面赤良久師正色云:『是誰公來參的?』予曰J39nB445_p0358b02某心中也自明白忽被和尚這劄直得無言可對J39nB445_p0358b03理可伸。』師云:『公亦做有工夫只是未在曾見船子夾J39nB445_p0358b04山公案麼?』予曰:『。』師云:『試舉看。』予舉至夾山辭行回J39nB445_p0358b05顧處師驀豎掌云:『將謂別有耶?』予不覺高聲應曰:『J39nB445_p0358b06無別有了。』師云:『是甚麼?』予大笑曰:『和尚何須恁麼問?』J39nB445_p0358b07師云:『且喜居士承當得也。』予便禮拜維時頓覺拈花J39nB445_p0358b08豎指吹毛輥毬等案一一透去不覺忻喜踴躍予乃J39nB445_p0358b09謂師曰:『將謂有多少奇特原來只恁麼。』師云:『莫錯會J39nB445_p0358b10此後正好喫老僧痛棒未肯放過居士在。』予曰:『J39nB445_p0358b11子亦未肯放過和尚在第山遙道棘師能一過我乎?』J39nB445_p0358b12師云:『。』遂別歸亟取孔茂弘密封啟視之內但書J39nB445_p0358b13掌當胸良久兩手開合數次急著眼覷十六字而J39nB445_p0358b14予閱之呵呵大笑要知此事有遮有表若非盛師J39nB445_p0358b15弘秘不通風則工夫何以著力若非曇華痛加敲擊J39nB445_p0358b16則箭鋒何以發機三人皆成我也既而通所見于盛J39nB445_p0358b17盛云:『喜公已打得圓相了也何不並圓相抹卻?』J39nB445_p0358b18思此語與三師臨別正好喫棒之語相符於是專看J39nB445_p0358b19吹毛用了急須磨及青州布衫句至忘寢食比至陰J39nB445_p0358b20忽然徹悟戊申正月二十六夜有白氣從西J39nB445_p0358b21南起上貫天適聽雪師來縣予作白毫光偈示之J39nB445_p0358b22不信大家舉首看何人不見白毫光之句聽師欣喜J39nB445_p0358b23印可明春雪師以源流見囑予思從上居士授法於J39nB445_p0358b24人者少則亦何可輕受法於人且予半生多從先儒J39nB445_p0358b25語錄中著力年春印心於曇華益與吾道相發明J39nB445_p0358b26不過欲作一脫灑書生但知此事便休耳因謝以偈J39nB445_p0358b27:『家師自有尼山在呼唯明明只此傳。』以見意云J39nB445_p0358b28月終三山和尚抵縣一見即喜曰:『居士不局於一橛J39nB445_p0358b29禪矣。』遂問予:『如何是萬法歸一?』予卓然立又問:『一歸J39nB445_p0358b30何處?』予展兩手又問:『青州布衫聻?』予將旁僧劈面一J39nB445_p0358c01掌云:『我從來疑著此語。』:『如何是親切句?』予曰:『學人J39nB445_p0358c02是沈二。』『如何是轉身句?』予曰:『茶碗好盛粥。』『如何是異J39nB445_p0358c03類句?』予曰:『盞子落地碟子破。』『如何是末後句?』予曰:『J39nB445_p0358c04鳥語風聲無不足。』一日招師齋沙彌冷眼以疾J39nB445_p0358c05余問彌云:『馬祖日面月面作麼生?』彌便掌余云:『J39nB445_p0358c06這掌作麼生?』彌喚旁僧字云:『玉眉。』予便別打旁僧J39nB445_p0358c07大笑又一日同冷眼侍師閒立次適見貓逐雞雞飛J39nB445_p0358c08入草予曰:『俊哉!』師隨取一片磚置地問予曰:『是甚麼?』J39nB445_p0358c09予便作雞鳴聲予顧冷眼云:『雞在這裡貓在甚麼處?』J39nB445_p0358c10眼便作捉雞勢師笑云:『這話猶未圓在。』于進前曰:『J39nB445_p0358c11許學人圓得否?』師云:『。』予便將磚一腳踢去師乃印J39nB445_p0358c12遂舉五家宗旨勘余余一一默證因欲授余以源J39nB445_p0358c13予思:『風塵俗吏此生作了事俗漢足矣。』遂固辭J39nB445_p0358c14舉聽師所付因緣遂還前偈具白於師師亦弗強J39nB445_p0358c15而自惟:『予投機實在於師且師不憚千里跋涉為法J39nB445_p0358c16求人予又安敢不原所悟以負師慈德哉?』乃敬受之J39nB445_p0358c17師留新一月始旋曇華予送至中途師切囑曰J39nB445_p0358c18非難實證為難居士珍重保任可也。』予拜別歸治J39nB445_p0358c19味落落閒閒更無些子礙膺之物雖出政蒞民之間J39nB445_p0358c20喜便笑怒便嗔案牘有露柱拱手呈來閒人被庭石J39nB445_p0358c21吆呼趁去色色信其本來只成無心道人而新邑遂J39nB445_p0358c22大治云云。」

上鐵壁老和尚五家宗旨歌曰:「五家J39nB445_p0358c23宗旨如五指散為大悲千手臂一一手具五嶽形J39nB445_p0358c24一嶽中生萬卉一一卉萌千百枝是吾五指難思議J39nB445_p0358c25高人握來一掌中五指還如一指同諦觀此指指亦J39nB445_p0358c26方是吾宗正脈通粗禪棄之成鹵莽口耳泥之成J39nB445_p0358c27誕誑二俱可憐孰拯之只今惟有鐵和尚雙徑源流J39nB445_p0358c28賴此傳眼如日月明百川日月眼萬古懸歌以似之J39nB445_p0358c29告法筵。」

敏樹和尚開法慈雲公夙欽其名德特往J39nB445_p0358c30見之公問:「智不到處切忌道著道著則頭角生如何?」J39nB445_p0359a01:「恭賀恭賀。」公云:「弟子頭角生也。」敏云:「一任行雲J39nB445_p0359a02布雨。」殿中點燈次公謂眾僧曰:「前半間不得道明J39nB445_p0359a03半間不得道暗速道速道。」眾無對共白於敏敏云:「J39nB445_p0359a04箭射更關。」公問:「格物即不問如何是物格?」敏云:「頂門J39nB445_p0359a05須具眼別有好商量。」敏隨問公云:「公試道看。」公云:「J39nB445_p0359a06窮千里目更上一層樓。」敏微笑敏問公云:「格物是J39nB445_p0359a07格是?」公云:「六六元來三十六。」敏將飯喂貓次公陡問J39nB445_p0359a08南泉斬貓和尚因甚喂貓?」敏云:「雲月雖同溪山各異。」J39nB445_p0359a09公曰:「能殺能活。」

嘗語諸方曰:「新寧縣前有箇石獅J39nB445_p0359a10有時喚月嘶風有時東輥西操但不得將他動著J39nB445_p0359a11動著即被他一口咬殺。」

:「如何是新寧境?」公曰:「J39nB445_p0359a12底籃盛山菌子沒絃琴操萬年松。」「如何是境中人?」J39nB445_p0359a13:「退食每餐無米飯見賓恰會不來人。」:「日用如何J39nB445_p0359a14著力?」公曰:「牽象藕絲元不斷浙溪逆溯上瞿塘。」:「J39nB445_p0359a15何得勘破一切?」公曰:「莫將絲繫風。」

公治新五年J39nB445_p0359a16增數倍邑無穿窬道不拾遺己酉正月奉例裁併於J39nB445_p0359a17梁山新民因挽公不得乃畢送公至萬縣已距新七J39nB445_p0359a18程矣公遂賦歸偈四首:「五載誰為副此機青山留我J39nB445_p0359a19伴寒暉幸沾封典恩何渥得遂趨庭志不違拄杖著J39nB445_p0359a20靴穿水去蒲團裝月帶涼歸年來人事如彈指贏得J39nB445_p0359a21心空好拂衣勤民出政知誰力了了隨緣不借中J39nB445_p0359a22石吼庭吞皜月蒲鞭拍掌笑春風神珠輝處頭頭露J39nB445_p0359a23寶劍揮來面面通會得威音消息迥山流水住耳看J39nB445_p0359a24水到渠成祗善為遊行掉臂任吾之焚香坐久我J39nB445_p0359a25忘我退食公餘誰是誰畢竟暖風吹到冷從教綠髮J39nB445_p0359a26變成絲來來去去非來去道破人情有子規鞭起須J39nB445_p0359a27彌駕起船就中著便下東川野橋流出鐘聲遠古渡J39nB445_p0359a28撐開月影圓逐浪隨波今日句呈橈舞棹未生前J39nB445_p0359a29腰且自隨緣去落落閒閒不記年。」時西瞿和尚在萬J39nB445_p0359a30公呈前偈瞿答偈云:「過量人來法法通如水波上湧J39nB445_p0359b01千重水枯川竭長流處依舊青山綠水中。」公又答云J39nB445_p0359b02箇中無法亦無通何處如波湧幾重倒嶽傾湫波浪J39nB445_p0359b03何曾一滴滯胸中平日留心山水間山山水水得J39nB445_p0359b04人閒自從吸盡西江後山是水兮水是山。」

太守朱葵石茂時性悟居士禾之秀水人宰輔文恪J39nB445_p0359b06公之後也以貴胄膺天眷歷宦有年垂老致仕游心J39nB445_p0359b07放鶴洲日延名宿問道親炙雪嶠信費隱容甚久J39nB445_p0359b08熙己酉高峰南下公謁於天寧峰示以柏樹子話J39nB445_p0359b09參至忘寢食一日有省呈解於峰曰:「別處妥一件J39nB445_p0359b10是一件這裡會得一處妥處處妥。」又云:「看得本來面J39nB445_p0359b11目分明原無貴無賤無貧無富無喜無怒無死無生。」J39nB445_p0359b12峰曰:「只此數語居士可謂見到說到矣但時時保任J39nB445_p0359b13念念操存直做到大休歇底田地得大自在得大受J39nB445_p0359b14施為運轉出沒卷舒任性而流無可不可連這保J39nB445_p0359b15任操存四字一並忘卻更有甚麼參差錯謬關礙生J39nB445_p0359b16死而不一了百當?」公禮拜而退從此工夫日密親朋J39nB445_p0359b17來往不及塵世一語沈公赤肩是其道中友也峰還J39nB445_p0359b18公會眾拜送舟中呈冊索偈峰書數千言付之J39nB445_p0359b19年已八十有二矣

次韻送J39nB445_p0359c12童真禪師南行。「傷哉象末世祖道鮮弘人誰是主中J39nB445_p0359c13多為賓裡賓知君存大義令我能仁但得南遊J39nB445_p0359c14重敷上苑春。」

文學張雙承性愨居士忠州人業儒尚道學族近高J39nB445_p0359c16朝夕叩見峰數加鉗錘公志愈堅一日呈解於峰J39nB445_p0359c17聲未絕峰遽問曰:「如何是佛?」答曰:「草蒲團。」

:「僧問J39nB445_p0359c18高峰:『六道眾生還具佛性也無?』峰云:『!』」拈曰:「塞滿虛J39nB445_p0359c19克遍法界本自尋常阿誰無分雖然如是還知高J39nB445_p0359c20峰老漢答處麼科頭箕踞長松下白眼看他世上人。」J39nB445_p0359c21復頌曰:「眾生六道幾何般換面改頭總亦然六月日J39nB445_p0359c22頭到處熱三冬霜雪普天寒。」

:「僧問高峰:『如何是J39nB445_p0359c23為人一句?』峰便打僧云:『恁麼則辜負某甲也。』峰云:『J39nB445_p0359c24僧今日失利。』」拈曰:「為憐三歲子不惜兩莖眉檢點將J39nB445_p0359c25可恨阿僧當面蹉過。」復頌曰:「為人一句猶如屎屁J39nB445_p0359c26驀頭打也全無遮避承恩容易報恩難千古萬古空J39nB445_p0359c27相憶。」
