J38nB410_p0338c04孤山,晚參。云:「幻住山庵學種田,扶犁拽耙度荒年,諸J38nB410_p0338c05方容我閒林下,業債未償驀鼻牽。牽得來,將謂三月J38nB410_p0338c06安居,元來九旬利物。且道:利物與安居是同?是別?果J38nB410_p0338c07向這裏廓開隻眼,何佛不成?何事不辦?秪如為眾竭J38nB410_p0338c08力則固是,賓主和融一句作麼生道?」卓拄杖,云:「搘笻J38nB410_p0338c09卓立孤山頂,無限清風播穀城。」
J38nB410_p0338c10座山立兩序,晚參。云:「本色住山,不假雕琢,宗乘舉揚,J38nB410_p0338c11有賓有主,主伴交參,高低互應,可中必須氣分相投、J38nB410_p0338c12神心相照,直如雲騰雨致、虎嘯風生,愈出愈奇,盡善J38nB410_p0338c13盡美。且不辱師命一句作麼生道?扶過斷橋水,伴歸J38nB410_p0338c14明月村。」遂起身。
J38nB410_p0338c15報恩安首執,小參。云:「佛佛授受,祖祖相傳,體用不二,J38nB410_p0338c16事理昭然。第一座、第二座逢人不可錯舉;如來禪、祖J38nB410_p0338c17師禪好與一狀領過。空中書梵宇,門外接嘉賓。大海J38nB410_p0338c18倒傾,淨洗黧奴腸胃,打開庫藏,運出無盡奇珍,鹽醬J38nB410_p0338c19不須多,沙米一齊去,不呼而應,不令而從,非但一期J38nB410_p0338c20佛事大觀,且亦宗風肅振。秪如荷擔重任者是什麼J38nB410_p0338c21人?阿呵呵,一手不獨拍,兩手鳴摑摑,果是克家兒,自J38nB410_p0338c22有大人作。」
J38nB410_p0338c23龍華立兩序,晚參。云:「單單成兩,五五非十,佛法無多,J38nB410_p0338c24也須輔弼。冀各負傑出之才,展摶天之翼,舍己從人,J38nB410_p0338c25為眾竭力,方中有圓,權中有實,鵲能結巢,蜂能釀蜜。J38nB410_p0338c26汝若忙時我便閒,我若坐時汝須立。記得古德有言:J38nB410_p0338c27面赤不如語直。」
J38nB410_p0338c28逸叟和尚至,引座。云:「師資相見事如何?白雪陽春誰J38nB410_p0338c29得和?觸著龍池一滴水,管教作雨潤娑婆。極平坦,最J38nB410_p0338c30淆訛,公案不將重審問,何時待得鴨成鵝?諸兄弟相J38nB410_p0339a01隨來也。」遂領眾申請。
J38nB410_p0339a02小參。云:「堂裏坐禪,堂外禪坐,行住坐臥,不離這箇。檢J38nB410_p0339a03點將來,大似古廟精靈、行家滯貨,有價誰酬?有相誰J38nB410_p0339a04造?水就濕,火就燥,為話諸禪流,光陰莫錯過。果然用J38nB410_p0339a05力十分,自是疑團打破。秪如打破後又作麼生?不許J38nB410_p0339a06夜遊剛把火,大家吹滅暗中行。」遂擔拄杖歸方丈。
J38nB410_p0339a07柯子尊諸居士請小參。云:「世出世間,心無二心、道無J38nB410_p0339a08二道,處處綠楊堪繫馬,家家門首透長安。蓋由坐井J38nB410_p0339a09以致分岐,何似烏山諸善信不惟敬重禪宗,抑且不J38nB410_p0339a10假外求,深自砥礪?所謂我本無心有所希求,今此寶J38nB410_p0339a11藏自然而至,貴足以安邦、富足以敵國,不費心力,應J38nB410_p0339a12用現前。諸善信!還知寶藏現前麼?在眼曰見、在耳曰J38nB410_p0339a13聞、在手執捉、在足運奔,古往今來人不識,茫茫愁殺J38nB410_p0339a14釋迦文。」
J38nB410_p0339a15長至,安執事,小參。師云:「陰極陽復始,日添一線長,大J38nB410_p0339a16家出隻手,扶起正法幢。一竿西,一竿東,一任天下人J38nB410_p0339a17捉影望風。」
J38nB410_p0339a18鐵眉禪人請小參。師舉:「應庵華禪師云:『趙州喫茶,我J38nB410_p0339a19實怕他,不是債主,便是冤家。何故?自古齋僧怕夜茶。』」J38nB410_p0339a20師云:「應庵打草驚蛇也是膽小,這一盃茶有什麼難J38nB410_p0339a21喫處?山僧則不然,趙州喫茶,我實愛他,亦▆▆鐵▆J38nB410_p0339a22亦可。待禪家忽有個漢出來遭:『和尚因甚麼將他人J38nB410_p0339a23物作自己用?』向伊道:『有情來下種,無地不生芽。』」
J38nB410_p0339a24孝子楊清、楊濤請對心素居士靈小參。師云:「一取一J38nB410_p0339a25舍、一去一來、一動一靜,總是生死岸頭事。就生死中J38nB410_p0339a26覓個無生死處,須是個人始得。心素道長乃人中之J38nB410_p0339a27瑞、地上之仙,以佛祖為師、以溪山為舍,是非不入、理J38nB410_p0339a28亂不關,在德為德中尊、在齒為齒中尊。茲者葉落知J38nB410_p0339a29秋、花開見佛則固是,秪如穩坐高堂又如何話會?」良J38nB410_p0339a30久,云:「童容雪髮憑描注,須信壺中別有天。」
J38nB410_p0339b01雨巖主人請小參。師云:「六鼇負島逞獰獰,歲月久長J38nB410_p0339b02變作精,卻把虛空打一棒,銕牛背上血淋淋,一跳驀J38nB410_p0339b03然攢入海,直至于今沒處尋。汝諸人尋得,出來與拄J38nB410_p0339b04杖子相見;如無,歸堂喫茶去。」復舉:「茶陵郁山主騎驢J38nB410_p0339b05陷足有省,頌云:『我有驪珠一類,久被塵勞羈鎖,今朝J38nB410_p0339b06塵盡先生,照破山河萬朵。』」師云:「美則美矣,悟未悟在。J38nB410_p0339b07山僧一頌也要諸人檢點:我有山庵一座,八面無欄J38nB410_p0339b08無鎖,漠漠雨澆不溼,𩖼𩖼風吹不倒,匪惟深固幽遠,J38nB410_p0339b09而且無人能到。好個住庵翁,終日鬧浩浩。」喝一喝,遂J38nB410_p0339b10轉身。
J38nB410_p0339b11為六觀林居士對靈小參。云:「十載辭家墮五臺,雲中J38nB410_p0339b12師子吼如雷,翻身踢倒無根樹,萬里江山去。」復曰:「此J38nB410_p0339b13是六觀老居士晚年行履處,諸人還知麼?諸人知處,J38nB410_p0339b14居士盡知;居士知處,諸人不知。特借拂子略通一線。J38nB410_p0339b15憶得二十年前居士念生死事大,舍功名、休文字,向J38nB410_p0339b16蓮山頂上風雨連床,朝夕受深錐痛拶,至於山窮水J38nB410_p0339b17盡,得個轉身一路,截斷佛祖葛藤,跳出古今窠臼,遊J38nB410_p0339b18戲名山,飽餐風雪,倏爾脫落形骸,不動步已到家矣。J38nB410_p0339b19幕下孫子哀哀,還親見汝阿爺面孔麼?若也未見,為J38nB410_p0339b20爾指出。」豎拂子,云:「秪這是。」復擊禪床,云:「蒼天,蒼天。」遂J38nB410_p0339b21退座。
J38nB410_p0339b22默山西堂請小參。云:「臥雲深處不朝天,盡在寒巖野J38nB410_p0339b23水邊,渴飲饑餐無別事,且隨歲月種荒田。所以古人J38nB410_p0339b24得意之後,三二十年影不出山,大似破布褁明珠,一J38nB410_p0339b25點精光不肯透露,至於經行掉臂,無不與西來意契J38nB410_p0339b26合,仰不愧天、俯不怍人,然後被人推出作個後昆模J38nB410_p0339b27範,向佛祖行不到處接一箇半箇,同炊銕釘飯、共煮J38nB410_p0339b28木楂羹,堪報不報之恩、共助無為之化。」一僧出云:「和J38nB410_p0339b29尚恁麼道,也是憐兒不覺醜。」師云:「低聲,低聲。」遂轉身。
J38nB410_p0339b30居士請小參。云:「修己殊無別術,只消一念純真,務本J38nB410_p0339c01終不忘本,知恩方解報恩。且道誰是報恩者?試窣▆。J38nB410_p0339c02昔釋迦初行道時,千劫學威儀、萬劫學細行,盡十方J38nB410_p0339c03世界無芥子許不是釋迦捨身命處,然後降皇宮、遠J38nB410_p0339c04嬪侍,棄山河社稷如拋敝屣;登雪嶺、伏波旬,受麻麥J38nB410_p0339c05風霜如飲醍醐。及乎夜半,睹星悟道,云:『奇哉!一切聚J38nB410_p0339c06生具有如來智慧德相,但以妄想執著,不能證得。』喜J38nB410_p0339c07今罪根方淨,成佛無疑,升忉利天為母說法、回皇宮J38nB410_p0339c08為父舁櫬,此是第一等報恩人也。又盧行者初賣柴J38nB410_p0339c09於街上,聞僧誦經,云:『應無所住而生其心。』遂有省,問J38nB410_p0339c10僧云:『此經從何所得?』僧云:『得於黃梅五祖處。』者即將J38nB410_p0339c11母托養千人,徑往黃梅參五祖。祖問云:『仁者從何方J38nB410_p0339c12來?』者云:『從新州來。』祖云:『來何所求?』者云:『不求餘物,但J38nB410_p0339c13求作佛。』祖云:『獦獠人焉能作佛?』者云:『人有南北,佛性J38nB410_p0339c14豈有分別耶?』祖知其敏利,遣入碓坊。後祖因見其偈J38nB410_p0339c15曰:『菩提本無樹,明鏡亦非臺。本來無一物,何處惹塵J38nB410_p0339c16埃?』祖即夜半傳衣,令其渡江,隱於獵隊。將知緣熟,往J38nB410_p0339c17華林寺,聞二僧論風旛,不契。者云:『非風旛動,仁者心J38nB410_p0339c18動。』印宗法師聞之大驚,詰其所以,者以實告。印宗遂J38nB410_p0339c19請剃度受戒,仍禮為師,開法曹溪,為第六祖。此是第J38nB410_p0339c20二等報恩人也。又睦州久參黃檗,從得法之後歸家,J38nB410_p0339c21惟製蒲履以奉母,仍時時喚之。母云:『我在這裏,何須J38nB410_p0339c22呼喚?』州云:『母若不應,兒即遠去。』母疑之,後有省,云:『兒J38nB410_p0339c23喚一聲應一聲,聲聲喚出本來人。于今不用吾兒喚,J38nB410_p0339c24月印寒潭徹底清。』此亦是第二等報恩人也。如斯之J38nB410_p0339c25類,車載斗量,不勝盡舉。茲現前大眾各自揣摩看,果J38nB410_p0339c26有少分如古人者,非但報恩竟,即生生父母亦超入J38nB410_p0339c27如來地矣。其或未然,向下文長,付在來日。」
J38nB410_p0339c28除夕小參。云:「賞菊東籬日未賒,霜花倏忽散天涯,光J38nB410_p0339c29陰步步催人老,猶有行人未到家。秪如諸雲水高流,J38nB410_p0339c30還有家可到也無?」豎拂子,云:「向這裏會去,直得峭巍J38nB410_p0340a01巍、空索索,寬若太虛、閒如野鶴,不為白首拘、不為青J38nB410_p0340a02年縛,大家團圞頭飽嚼乾蘿蔔,任臘月三十日到來,J38nB410_p0340a03依舊頭髼鬆、耳卓朔,家家爆竹喧天、處處笙歌沸壚,J38nB410_p0340a04總不干我等之事。趙州云:『世人被十二時使,老僧使J38nB410_p0340a05得十二時。』豈虛語哉?倘有人云:『如今年豐物阜、海晏J38nB410_p0340a06河清,因甚不烹牛分歲?』向伊道:『春耕在邇,不可犯禁。』」J38nB410_p0340a07遂歸方丈。
J38nB410_p0340a08萬善天懷西堂請小參。師云:「二由一有,一亦莫守,正J38nB410_p0340a09眼豁開,雞不鳴丑,柳綠花黃,春三秋九,同喫趙州茶,J38nB410_p0340a10共飲曹山酒,吐盡野狐涎,便解獅子吼。萬善雖同歸J38nB410_p0340a11一物,亦不受大眾飽齁齁。」拍案左邊云:「蘇州有。」拍右J38nB410_p0340a12邊云:「常州有。」
J38nB410_p0340a13陳瞳、陳睓請薦考醒園居士小參。云:「兔走鳥飛不暫J38nB410_p0340a14停,百年光景一宵燈,人間況似華胥夢,甑裡黃粱熟J38nB410_p0340a15朱曾。以此觀之,出入輪迴速如彈指,棄遺身命頃在J38nB410_p0340a16剎那。從前生居望族、名列勝流,日與琴書作對,以木J38nB410_p0340a17石為家,渾一大夢也;杯中傾盡三更月,庭際多栽有J38nB410_p0340a18品花,聲利不干懷,兒孫娛遶膝,渾一大夢也。至於苦J38nB410_p0340a19樂、逆順、生老、病死,總是一場大夢。若以大夢之場轉J38nB410_p0340a20作大覺之場、以榮華之界視作空華之界,則何有身J38nB410_p0340a21可遺、有命可棄耶?無命可棄,慧命等金剛之固;無身J38nB410_p0340a22可遺,法身超終始之圜。萬法不能拘、萬物不能壞,該J38nB410_p0340a23括百城、周羅三界,濁世樂邦面目現在。」豎拂子,云:「還J38nB410_p0340a24見麼?」便起身。
J38nB410_p0340a25陳明由薦親,請小參。師云:「生事死葬,當盡常儀;以孝J38nB410_p0340a26度親,須憑玅法。使先人登般若之門、遊華藏之海,直J38nB410_p0340a27出苦輪,永甦大夢。是以孝子明由等秉持五戒、奉行J38nB410_p0340a28十善,圖報親恩,便超出常儀了也。秪如伊先慈趙氏,J38nB410_p0340a29般若門作麼生登?華藏海作麼生遊?」以拂子打圓相,J38nB410_p0340a30云:「靜夜寒光,白散空庭之雪;疏林楓葉,紅飛二月之J38nB410_p0340b01花。佛號經聲,鐘鳴鼓響,向這裡安身立命去,三千剎J38nB410_p0340b02海不隔毫端,五百應真常為伴侶。山僧說盡老婆禪,J38nB410_p0340b03悟來也是閒言語。且道:如何是真實語?」遂起身作女J38nB410_p0340b04人拜,云:「伏惟尚饗。」
J38nB410_p0340b05冬至,小參。問:「群陰剝盡,一陽復亨,枯幹花開,寒冰▆J38nB410_p0340b06發,且道無根樹還解開花也無?」師云:「一朵兩朵了也。」J38nB410_p0340b07進云:「叫不應山,還會發燄否?」師將香一吹,云:「見麼?」進J38nB410_p0340b08云:「無陰陽地,還有剝復也無?」師舉足頓地,云:「會麼?」僧J38nB410_p0340b09拂具,云:「爭似這個不變遷?」師喝,僧亦喝,師云:「好個伶J38nB410_p0340b10俐漢。」僧云:「且喜大眾證明。」師云:「不識羞。」乃云:「皓月團J38nB410_p0340b11團,枯泉滴滴,一雨少滋,千山寒色,欄有牛,園有麥,政J38nB410_p0340b12恁麼時,昇平之兆可期,生動之機叵測,不須瑞現五J38nB410_p0340b13雲,蚤已陽生一畫。」豎拂子,云:「秪這一畫,蒼頡見之攢J38nB410_p0340b14眉,鶖子亦難摸索,叵耐洞山老古錐,白日青天向家J38nB410_p0340b15裏作賊,既在動用之中,因甚麼收拾不得?」遂顧視左J38nB410_p0340b16右,云:「諸人宜急究斯宗,莫待當來問彌勒。」
J38nB410_p0340b17洋山良忠公請小參。問:「洋峰頂上,嘯月觀星,撥草瞻J38nB410_p0340b18風,只圖見性。且道性在什麼處?」師云:「扶過斷橋水。」進J38nB410_p0340b19云:「惟此一事實,餘二則非真。」師云:「伴歸明月村。」僧云:J38nB410_p0340b20「畢竟水須朝海去,到頭雲定覓山歸。」師云:「賺殺一船J38nB410_p0340b21人。」乃云:「鬱鬱蒼松,漪漪綠竹,縮尾藏頭,孤峰獨宿,開J38nB410_p0340b22一片畬,收幾籮粟,暑往寒來,千勻萬足,總不似抱琴J38nB410_p0340b23明月下,彈出陽春曲。所以道:任汝兩肩荷負如來,至J38nB410_p0340b24恒沙劫不能報佛恩。欲報佛恩,須是荷擔大法,作人J38nB410_p0340b25天眼目,與佛祖為師。山僧三十年前曾中此毒,無人J38nB410_p0340b26救療,直至如今病猶未愈。現前大眾還有相救者麼?J38nB410_p0340b27如無,山僧自救去也。」倚杖作嘔吐勢,云:「啊㖿,啊㖿。」歸J38nB410_p0340b28方丈。
J38nB410_p0340b29小參。問:「選佛場開宇宙寬,紅罏撥著火星寒,超宗越J38nB410_p0340b30格即不問,直指當人請師宣。」師云:「左搓草繩縛鬼子。」J38nB410_p0340c01進云:「某甲承當去也。」師云:「也是自縛漢。」乃云:「入海不J38nB410_p0340c02避蛟龍,漁人之勇;登山不避虎兕,樵夫之勇;法戰不J38nB410_p0340c03顧危亡,衲僧之勇。此一勇可以焰祖燈、可以超生死,J38nB410_p0340c04輪刀上陣如入無人之境,逢佛殺佛、逢祖殺祖,一朝J38nB410_p0340c05奏凱,方知功不浪施。吾今為汝保任斯事,終不虛也。」J38nB410_p0340c06喝一喝。
J38nB410_p0340c07王明慈薦考妣並諸親眷,請小參。云:「山蒼蒼,水茫茫,J38nB410_p0340c08雲收萬里,月朗長空,天花散彩,玉磬敲風,一一莊嚴J38nB410_p0340c09法界,一一透露本光,還鄉者不勞轉步,到岸者直下J38nB410_p0340c10承當,如出籠之鶴、如脫網之鱗,擲天堂地獄於三千J38nB410_p0340c11界外,任性逍遙於香水海,鼓枻而歌曰:『暑往寒來春J38nB410_p0340c12復秋,夕陽西下水東流,將軍戰馬今何在?野草寒花J38nB410_p0340c13滿地愁。』令見者、聞者頓瀉熱腸,寒毛卓豎。正恁麼時,J38nB410_p0340c14且道是人薦靈耶?靈薦人耶?」擊如意,云:「不是久經行J38nB410_p0340c15陣者,何能一箭落雙鵰?」
J38nB410_p0340c16小參。「擔囊負笈,為覓知音;撥草瞻風,秪圖見性。即今J38nB410_p0340c17諸人性在什麼處?若知落處,一切淆訛盡皆瓦解冰J38nB410_p0340c18消。因甚有明與不明?只為未曾下死工夫大徹一番,J38nB410_p0340c19所以觸途成滯,山僧今夜特向席上爭光去。古德云:J38nB410_p0340c20『識得凳子,周匝有餘。』又云:『識得凳子,天地懸殊。』又云:J38nB410_p0340c21『識得凳子,四稜踏地。』這三句裏,有一句敲金珠玉、有J38nB410_p0340c22一句斬釘截鐵、有一句和泥合水,若辨別得,卻來方J38nB410_p0340c23丈裏通個消息,賞汝一個胡餅。若一向粟麥不分,喫J38nB410_p0340c24水也須防噎。」
J38nB410_p0340c25小參。「沉沉螭殿控漁樵,一徑紆迴接石橋,煙火叢中J38nB410_p0340c26面得壁,炎炎六月雪花飄。秪如六月因甚有雪花飄?J38nB410_p0340c27若是個中人,冷眼覷破,鬧市深山總一道場,擇火燒J38nB410_p0340c28香無非佛事,可以諸緣頓息、可以眾善奉行,所謂說J38nB410_p0340c29得一丈不如行得一尺,說得一尺不如行得一寸。」卓J38nB410_p0340c30拄杖,云:「且道這一寸還有人行得麼?若行不得,總是J38nB410_p0341a01立地死漢。」眾久立,師云:「汝等總行不得,且看山僧起J38nB410_p0341a02模畫樣去。」遂歸方丈。
J38nB410_p0341a03薦許氏小參。云:「樹凋葉落露秋風,鏡裡浮華徹底空,J38nB410_p0341a04無位真人何處去?世間有水不朝東。所謂處生死流,J38nB410_p0341a05驪珠獨耀於滄海;踞涅槃岸,桂輪孤朗於碧天。許氏J38nB410_p0341a06孺人倘會得,置身於閨閣之中,覓其生相了不可得,J38nB410_p0341a07視天地若蘧篨、種冰霜為茶飯,至四相歸空、百年悟J38nB410_p0341a08夢,覓其死相了不可得,淨居樂土隨念即家,既無生J38nB410_p0341a09相又無死相,則生死自度了也。山僧拄杖子未離蓮J38nB410_p0341a10山早已證明了也,及乎泛孤舟、臨堂奧,指點個什麼?J38nB410_p0341a11若未證謂證、未悟謂悟,本是善因,反招惡果。拄杖子J38nB410_p0341a12功不浪施,特指個實證實悟處去。」畫圓相,云:「掌內明J38nB410_p0341a13珠輕托出,管教步步躡蓮花。」
J38nB410_p0341a14南林請小參。云:「諸佛未出世,各各眼橫鼻直;及至出J38nB410_p0341a15世後,便即腳跟不點地,有名不宣、有相不禮。惟有南J38nB410_p0341a16林諸禪人腳跟從來俱點地,聞名便宣、見相便禮,數J38nB410_p0341a17聲清磬動林泉,一派梵音通天地,不但福慧雙修,且J38nB410_p0341a18亦利人利世。有個漢出來道:『這無意智漢到處不與J38nB410_p0341a19人解粘去縛、抽釘拔楔,秪管順水放舟、乘風舉棹。』山J38nB410_p0341a20僧聞之,點一杯茶賞他。何故?竹密不妨流水過,山高J38nB410_p0341a21豈礙白雲飛?」復舉:「僧問雲門:『如何是諸佛出身處?』門J38nB410_p0341a22云:『東山水上行。』雲門老漢果然腳跟不點地。圓悟云:J38nB410_p0341a23『天寧則不然,若有問:「如何是諸佛出身處?」向他道:「薰J38nB410_p0341a24風自南來,殿閣生微涼。」』圓悟伸出一隻手,脫卻天下J38nB410_p0341a25人汗臭襖則不無,爭奈熨斗煎茶不同銚?若問山僧:J38nB410_p0341a26『如何是諸佛出身處?』向他道:『孟春猶寒,不煩久立。』」
J38nB410_p0341a27薦無波禪德,請小參。云:「頂天立地迥無依,覓道覓禪J38nB410_p0341a28沒了期,弄到眼光撲落地,依然不見兩莖眉。」卓拄杖,J38nB410_p0341a29云:「拄杖頂𩕳通一線,石人無口笑嘻嘻。到這裏,釋迦J38nB410_p0341a30老子也須百離碎,達磨大師倒退三千里外,推倒葛J38nB410_p0341b01藤椿,平沉涅槃岸,說甚麼無雲生嶺上,有月落波心?J38nB410_p0341b02伶俐漢聞著,向背地裏咬斷拇指,云:『老老大大,青天J38nB410_p0341b03白日說鬼話。』山僧也怪伊不得。何故?若非其父,不生J38nB410_p0341b04其子。」
J38nB410_p0341b05鄭大經等請薦雙親,小參。云:「生不出,死不入,銕腳鷺J38nB410_p0341b06鶿水上立;生如寄,死如歸,桂輪無處不沉揮。敬宇鄭J38nB410_p0341b07翁若達此意,則似腰纏十萬貫,騎鶴上楊州,傍花隨J38nB410_p0341b08柳,遊水玩山,無不自得。倘若情生智隔,想變體殊,寒J38nB410_p0341b09暑迭遷,死生交謝,門外已無回日信,路頭空有望鄉J38nB410_p0341b10碑。山僧承孝子之請,特為指歸,撥通線路。」畫⊕相,云:J38nB410_p0341b11「直得敬翁不涉路程,歸寧穩坐,令合門心安意泰,輟J38nB410_p0341b12喪考妣之哀;夫唱婦隨,同取涅槃之概。彼此之心已J38nB410_p0341b13泯,去來之相皆空。且燕息高堂一句作麼生道?」良久,J38nB410_p0341b14云:「當陽伸出僧繇手,一對鴛鴦畫不成。」
J38nB410_p0341b15薦僧洞如請小參。云:「既著方袍,須興大志,將生死大J38nB410_p0341b16事當為己任。古之悟證者,如稻麻竹葦;今之塗說者,J38nB410_p0341b17如稻麻竹葦。豈不見?大慧杲初參方云:『古佛放光留J38nB410_p0341b18不住,鐵牛無腳也須行,雖然未踏曹溪路,且喜今朝J38nB410_p0341b19離火坑。』汝諸人還出火坑也未?如未,必須整頓手腳J38nB410_p0341b20一番。又不見?劍門分不捨寸陰,遍叩尊宿未甚發明,J38nB410_p0341b21後於街上聞喝道云:『侍郎來!侍郎來!』遂大悟,云:『幾年J38nB410_p0341b22底事掛胸懷,問盡諸方眼不開,骨髓皮膚熬粉碎,一J38nB410_p0341b23聲江上侍即來。』到此方謂懸崖撒手自肯承當。而今J38nB410_p0341b24世諦語言綿綿不綴,因甚聞而不悟?蓋由不將大事J38nB410_p0341b25為事,甘自陸沉。秪如骨髓皮膚已熬粉碎,何處更有J38nB410_p0341b26劍門?無劍門則無洞如,無洞如則無升沉,生死更超J38nB410_p0341b27拔個什麼?」敲拂子,云:「洞如!洞如!切莫忘卻。」
J38nB410_p0341b28明悌薦母,請小參。云:「倒插荊釵八八秋,樹桑牆下樂J38nB410_p0341b29清修,一朝截斷紅塵累,哭盡蒼天不可留。西陽墜,東J38nB410_p0341b30水流,金沙布地任遨遊。」復舉:「世尊云:『諸行無常,是生J38nB410_p0341c01滅法,生滅滅已,寂滅為樂。』世尊四十九年說黃道黑,J38nB410_p0341c02至末稍頭,秪得依實供通。亡靈黃氏若知樂處,則無J38nB410_p0341c03常生死法與汝不相干,所謂百骸潰散,心月孤圓,無J38nB410_p0341c04生無滅,極樂現前。」擊拂子一下。
J38nB410_p0341c05得和明賢請小參。云:「出匣龍泉光爍爍,是魔是佛俱J38nB410_p0341c06剷卻,本來面目露堂堂,少室單傳此一著。即此一著,J38nB410_p0341c07或男、或女,或僧、或俗,具十分信根,立地承當去,匪惟J38nB410_p0341c08入林不動草、入水不動波,浪平龍睡穩、雲靜鶴飛高,J38nB410_p0341c09直得登涅槃之岸、渡生死之河。阿呵呵!會也麼?龍華J38nB410_p0341c10佛法本無多。」復舉:「灌溪問末山尼云:『如何是末山?』尼J38nB410_p0341c11云:『不露頂。』溪云:『如何是末山主?』尼云:『非男女相。』溪喝J38nB410_p0341c12云:『何不變化去?』尼云:『不是神、不是鬼,變化個什麼?』溪J38nB410_p0341c13遂服膺。」師云:「末山大似韓信登壇,灌溪何異子卿牧J38nB410_p0341c14雪?檢點將來,總為欺敵者亡。當時若是山僧,見他道:J38nB410_p0341c15『不是神、不是鬼,變化個什麼?』便云:『正好一棒打殺。』任J38nB410_p0341c16他機如掣電、眼似銅鈴,也須納款歸降。今夜這裏有J38nB410_p0341c17為末山尼出氣者麼?」眾默然。師云:「地曠人稀,相逢者J38nB410_p0341c18少。」遂轉身。
J38nB410_p0341c19小參。問:「世尊說法,天雨四花,和尚說法有何祥瑞?」師J38nB410_p0341c20云:「人人鼻孔大頭垂。」進云:「有問有答,俱落魔境,無問J38nB410_p0341c21無答,如何委悉?」師便打。進云:「恁麼則把手出長安。」師J38nB410_p0341c22又打,云:「這是什麼所在?」進云:「青霄無異路。」師云:「退後,J38nB410_p0341c23退後。」乃云:「昨夜有個玉麒麟走入水牯牛隊裏,東撞J38nB410_p0341c24西撞,沒有出路,被個蟭螟虫一口吞卻,直至如今尋J38nB410_p0341c25不得。」顧視左右,云:「汝諸人還尋得麼?如尋不得,總與J38nB410_p0341c26一棒打殺。」遂連棒打散。
J38nB410_p0341c27孝子林人中請對靈小參。云:「大野秋風起,吹人及第J38nB410_p0341c28歸,誰云難再見?舉首月揚輝。不在彼,不在此,既無生,J38nB410_p0341c29寧有死?況蕊齋老居士慧性昭昭,貞風凜凜,不為富J38nB410_p0341c30貴所淫,不為威武所屈,且知有教外別傳西來的意,J38nB410_p0342a01時與諸方尊宿遊詠山水之間,偏正交參,高低酬唱,J38nB410_p0342a02至啟手足如棄敝屣,赴玉樓頃在須臾,雖不出人天J38nB410_p0342a03圈繢,殊不愧大丈夫之所為也。然既知有西來的意,J38nB410_p0342a04而未嘗實證實悟,終成途路之樂,不得到家。山僧今J38nB410_p0342a05通個消息,與居士到家也。」遂擊拂子一下。
J38nB410_p0342a06薦一脈禪德,請小參。云:「雲掩青山斷,月沉碧海空,鶤J38nB410_p0342a07鵬何處去?大地覓無蹤。雖然,在淨不忻,在濁不厭,生J38nB410_p0342a08也無餘,死也無欠,鎮海明珠,倚天長劍,是甚衲僧閒J38nB410_p0342a09家具?秪如面目現前又且如何?」良久,云:「一花一國土,J38nB410_p0342a10一葉一如來。」
J38nB410_p0342a11薦慧聞、慧圓二禪德,請小參。云:「沒來由,沒來由,途路J38nB410_p0342a12波吒幾十秋,踏得故家田地著,他方此界等浮漚。迷J38nB410_p0342a13也似浮漚,悟也似浮漚,執持也似浮漚,解脫也似浮J38nB410_p0342a14漚。」豎拂子,云:「向這裏會去,四大本空,五蘊非有,二不J38nB410_p0342a15可立,一不可守。李公醉倒街頭,帶累張公喫酒。」喝一J38nB410_p0342a16喝。復舉:「僧問巖頭:『起滅不停時如何?』頭云:『是誰起滅?』」J38nB410_p0342a17師云:「這僧投身坑阱,巖頭開籠放鶴。若問山僧:『起滅J38nB410_p0342a18不停時如何?』向他道:『見月非關指,歸家罷問程。』直令J38nB410_p0342a19二覺靈知恩有地。」
J38nB410_p0342a20元宵,小參。「遍界難藏覆,覿體露堂堂,有燈不須掛,六J38nB410_p0342a21門總放光。且林下道人與市廛之輩殊別,肯向光影J38nB410_p0342a22裡東西馳騁,自昧本光耶?本光不昧,匪但六門放光,J38nB410_p0342a23至於八萬四千毛孔、山河大地、草木昆虫,無彈指頃J38nB410_p0342a24不放光明,因甚天上月圓、天下人傳?月半未明三八J38nB410_p0342a25九,未免自沉吟,舉頭天外看,誰是我般人?」喝一喝。
J38nB410_p0342a26薦林雪宇居士,請小參。云:「真性心地藏,非顯亦非密,J38nB410_p0342a27寬博褁六虛,光明超十日。不假天地功,不假春秋力,J38nB410_p0342a28皮膚脫落盡,惟有一真實。既脫落皮膚,更將什麼作J38nB410_p0342a29真實?須向棺材裏瞠出眼睛,不落斷常之坑,不遊寂J38nB410_p0342a30寞之海。在三摩地,三摩地真實;在塵勞中,塵勞中真J38nB410_p0342b01實。其或眼睛未瞠,未免石上栽花,鏡中覓影。」以拄杖J38nB410_p0342b02敲靈几,云:「雪翁,雪翁,切莫迷頭認影。」退座。
J38nB410_p0342b03冬至,小參。云:「秋纔分,冬又至,易轉四時,難留一氣,人J38nB410_p0342b04用財交,金用火試,衲僧不用如何若何,只要洗面摸J38nB410_p0342b05著鼻。只如摸著鼻,有什麼用處?尊為根塵意識之君,J38nB410_p0342b06先為皮膚骨髓之祖,三百六十節腠從此發生,八萬J38nB410_p0342b07四千毛孔從斯成就,枯梢花放,南極陽回,萬象變遷,J38nB410_p0342b08獨他依然大頭向下,所謂能為萬象主,不逐四時凋。J38nB410_p0342b09汝諸人有摸著者,出來與拄杖子相見;如無拄杖子,J38nB410_p0342b10穿卻諸人鼻孔去也。」卓一卓。
J38nB410_p0342b11若靜堂主請小參。云:「登山須到頂,飲水要尋源。若不J38nB410_p0342b12尋源,雖得一時慶快,不知這一滴來從何處?若不到J38nB410_p0342b13頂,優遊於鳥道玄路之中,猶不見天地之寬廣。及到J38nB410_p0342b14頂,一番景象自與從前迥別,有口言不得,有腳抬不J38nB410_p0342b15起,更說什麼浮雲連海岱,平野入青徐?直得人境俱J38nB410_p0342b16忘,虛空粉碎。到者裡,無進步中正好進步;若不進步,J38nB410_p0342b17便向者裡坐殺。所謂百尺竿頭坐底人,雖然得入未J38nB410_p0342b18為真,百尺竿頭高進步,十方世界現全身。若靜上座J38nB410_p0342b19遍參有年,行履可風,昔日兩登九座,茲又特到雲峰,J38nB410_p0342b20還知進步麼?」靜一喝,師擲拂子,云:「逢人切莫錯舉。」
J38nB410_p0342b21除夕,小參。云:「大盡三十日,小盡二十九,一年三百六J38nB410_p0342b22十日,誰不出乖並弄醜?茫茫弄到末稍頭,個事依然J38nB410_p0342b23不知有。忽知有,東村野老夜燒錢,家家門前火把子。J38nB410_p0342b24是汝諸人知有不知有?總須照顧眉毛,莫被一星火J38nB410_p0342b25燎卻,新年頭討甚麼面目相見?有個漢出來道:『某甲J38nB410_p0342b26眉毛依舊橫在眼上,與和尚相見久矣。』阿呵呵,莫道J38nB410_p0342b27座山無人好。」
J38nB410_p0342b28為林俊良母進壙,小參。云:「飄飄兩鬢白如雲,教子有J38nB410_p0342b29方德可尊,九九竟歸何國土?人間天上性長存。自性J38nB410_p0342b30既存,六門和睦增不得一毫,四大分離減不得一毫,J38nB410_p0342c01去歲遊魔宮不為魔著,今朝入佛界不為佛求,逍遙J38nB410_p0342c02樂土、出沒神洲,中途撞著馬即婦,笑道:『林母、陳老婆J38nB410_p0342c03卻是我同流。』政當斯際,把手共行則固是,高枕青山J38nB410_p0342c04事若何?一坏赤土生緣盡,花鳥多情亦助哀。」
J38nB410_p0342c05久旱,小參。云:「青天何事絕淋漓?萬里無雲大地悲,溪J38nB410_p0342c06澗溝渠乾嚗嚗,禾娘枯死喚誰醫?當斯時,必須娑竭J38nB410_p0342c07羅起舞,四大海倒傾,迅雷霹靂陟黑乾坤,轉霽月光J38nB410_p0342c08風為濃雲暴雨,不分晝夜,普澤滄桑,黃梅浸爛,青草J38nB410_p0342c09蛙喧,眉毛無處曬㫰,黑豆就莢生芽,白牯黧奴齊拍J38nB410_p0342c10掌,太平曲調唱家家。是汝諸人還知這點滴落處麼?」J38nB410_p0342c11卓拄杖,云:「不及掩耳。」
J38nB410_p0342c12圓期小參。僧一喝,問云:「喚作金剛王寶劍得麼?」師云:J38nB410_p0342c13「錯會不少。」進云:「喚作踞地獅子得麼?」師云:「重下注腳。」J38nB410_p0342c14進云:「喚作探竿影草得麼?」師云:「且喜沒交涉。」進云:「喚J38nB410_p0342c15作一喝不作一喝用得麼?」師云:「泥裏洗土塊。」進云:「四J38nB410_p0342c16喝已蒙師指示,覿面全提事如何?」師便喝,僧云:「也是J38nB410_p0342c17釘樁搖櫓。」師云:「果然錯會。」乃云:「徹骨徹髓底句,何人J38nB410_p0342c18道得?無窮無盡底機,信手拈來。拈得來,且道是黃瓜?J38nB410_p0342c19是茄子?果是個中人,說甚麼三月安居、九旬守蠟,聲J38nB410_p0342c20和響順、影直形端,毘盧釋迦猶是他家小廝子,華藏J38nB410_p0342c21世界海當甚破草鞋,方能看破。山僧盡日不顧鐵面J38nB410_p0342c22皮、弄出閒手腳,向虛空藏裏頭出頭沒,覓個蟭螟虫J38nB410_p0342c23摶風鼓翅,畢竟了不可得,不但勞而無功,亦且弄巧J38nB410_p0342c24成拙。諸兄弟!莫將驢鞍橋認作阿爺下頷,向上一路J38nB410_p0342c25大有事在。」
J38nB410_p0342c26臘八夜,居士廖自遠薦考妣,請小參。問:「大家集團圞,J38nB410_p0342c27共說無生話。無生話即不問,如何是無生體?」師云:「鼻J38nB410_p0342c28孔大頭垂。」進云:「如何是大事?」師云:「頭頂天,腳踏地。」進J38nB410_p0342c29云:「底意已蒙師指示,薦靈一句作麼生道?」師云:「萬里J38nB410_p0342c30一條銕。」進云:「雖然一片舊田地,一度嬴來一度新。」師J38nB410_p0343a01云:「謝汝證明。」乃云:「黃面老云:『奇哉!一切眾生具有如J38nB410_p0343a02來智慧德相,但以執著妄想而不證得。』何謂執著?在J38nB410_p0343a03凡為凡情所縛,不得徑登淨域;在聖為聖量所拘,不J38nB410_p0343a04得放舍佛梯是也。何謂妄想?說時似悟,對境還迷,不J38nB410_p0343a05信本原,只望成佛是也。昔有居士問三祖云:『請師為J38nB410_p0343a06解脫法門。』祖云:『阿誰縛汝?』士云:『無縛。』祖云:『何更求解J38nB410_p0343a07脫乎?』既無縛,亦無脫,天何高,地何闊。雪山六載徒苦J38nB410_p0343a08辛,透網金鱗活潑潑。茲者,居士廖宏質偕室中吳氏J38nB410_p0343a09往西已久,更承如來成道良因,薦增品級。山僧感孝J38nB410_p0343a10子之誠,特為指出智慧德相,令其實證實悟,與黃面J38nB410_p0343a11老同一鼻孔出氣去也。」良久,云:「野色已無山膈斷,天J38nB410_p0343a12光直與水相連。」
J38nB410_p0343a13帝釋誕日,陳子陵請小參。師云:「我佛如來以慈悲心J38nB410_p0343a14開方便門,垂手入廛,和光混俗,應以帝釋、梵天身得J38nB410_p0343a15度者,即現帝釋、梵天身而為說法;應以比丘、居士身J38nB410_p0343a16得度者,即現比丘、居士身而為說法,令人人捨惡從J38nB410_p0343a17善、超凡入聖,從微至著、從始至終,直造三摩地而後J38nB410_p0343a18已。嗟今去聖時遙,人多懈怠,不聞玅道,錯墜邪途,盜J38nB410_p0343a19如來之教,作正法之魔,廣說異端,潛修僻行,年久歲J38nB410_p0343a20深,執迷不悟。若是英靈漢子,一沾甘露之濡,直領慈J38nB410_p0343a21雲之覆,生生受蔭、個個知恩,必無竊符假雞之事。茲J38nB410_p0343a22者,陳信士信心堅固、道念精純,得感我十方龍象降J38nB410_p0343a23臨,就其因齋慶讚。秪如因齋慶讚則固是,應時納祐J38nB410_p0343a24又作麼生?煙霞新捧日,歌鼓鬧喧天。」
J38nB410_p0343a25信士陳伯陞誕日,請小參。僧問:「道非促延,一念萬年。J38nB410_p0343a26道非促延即不問,如何是一念萬年?」師云:「梵音喧法J38nB410_p0343a27海。」進云:「祝壽一句又作麼生?」師云:「春色翠南山。」進云:J38nB410_p0343a28「將此深心謝師慶讚。」師云:「禮拜著。」乃云:「無明即佛性,J38nB410_p0343a29重重春色含秦鏡;煩惱即菩提,浩浩煙波漲虎溪。無J38nB410_p0343a30佛性、無無明,古路現前信腳行;無菩提、無煩惱,隨柳J38nB410_p0343b01傍花到處好。到處好,悟須早,莫云烏兔尚堪留,蹉過J38nB410_p0343b02一生空到老。所以,學道人時刻提撕,向物物頭頭識J38nB410_p0343b03得本命元辰落處,則福不求而自多、壽不祝而自永;J38nB410_p0343b04倘不知落處,則業識茫茫,無本可據,縱饒富貴百年,J38nB410_p0343b05總是一場幻夢,兒孫滿眼,無非三界空花。」豎拄杖,云:J38nB410_p0343b06「還識本命元辰麼?亙古亙今無向背,頂天立地露堂J38nB410_p0343b07堂。」
J38nB410_p0343b08檀樾黃應晝象觀薦考劬巖,請對靈小參。云:「生從雲J38nB410_p0343b09峰來,樂就雲峰住,本是林下人,終歸林下去。去去實J38nB410_p0343b10不去,鶴栖無影樹,來來何所來?月色射空階。檀機劬J38nB410_p0343b11巖老居士自是識得無去無來之人、不生不滅之體,J38nB410_p0343b12所以功名不著、富貴不求,體先賢高隱之風,取自己J38nB410_p0343b13清修之樂,敬佛重僧,舍家為寺,此即高出時人一頭J38nB410_p0343b14地也。昔龐公一家學道,至臨終之際,干迥相公親臨J38nB410_p0343b15問道,龐公云:『但願空諸所有,切莫實諸所無。』遂尒脫J38nB410_p0343b16化。今檀樾不須請問於人,而平生行履與空諸所有J38nB410_p0343b17已相符契,可謂一人行到,一人說到,說到不如行到,J38nB410_p0343b18行到必須說到。行亦到,說亦到,天上人間無兩個。且J38nB410_p0343b19道秪一個是什麼人聻?」良久,云:「金閣玉樓常獨立,接J38nB410_p0343b20人直上寶蓮臺。」遂轉身。
J38nB410_p0343b21除夕,小參。「年來抱病住叢林,同喫同屙適有人,逗到J38nB410_p0343b22人間送臘際,寒灰撥盡不知貧。秪是思來算去,無可J38nB410_p0343b23分歲,欲倣北禪烹個露地白牛與諸人分歲,奈此牛J38nB410_p0343b24用力過多,兼經深冬窮谷草枯齒脫,雖然頭角完全,J38nB410_p0343b25四體不甚肥壯,倘不棄嫌,請大家出手烹調,庶不今J38nB410_p0343b26宵寂寞。」遂兩手按地,云:「請,請。」眾無語,師云:「如今必須J38nB410_p0343b27一回飽足,不致盡日求索於人。」眾又無語,師云:「汝等J38nB410_p0343b28若不領取,露地白牛變作金毛獅子,倒吞汝等去也。」J38nB410_p0343b29以拄杖一時打散。
J38nB410_p0343b30送通天逸叟和尚進塔。「風和春已半,處處鷓鴣天,遺J38nB410_p0343c01骼不須扣,靈光本現前。」呈起靈骨,云:「現前大眾還見J38nB410_p0343c02我通天和尚麼?二十餘年撥草瞻風,向百尺竿頭薦J38nB410_p0343c03得這箇圓陀陀、光爍爍,水澆不溼、火燒不著,于今托J38nB410_p0343c04出庴青山,蓮花國裡永盤礡。」
J38nB410_p0343c05西明掛鐘板。「百丈建叢林,古今師表;達磨傳心印,孫J38nB410_p0343c06子冤仇。這冤仇若不圖報者,非其孫子;欲圖報者,必J38nB410_p0343c07須向這裏捉敗這老禿奴。」遂擊。
J38nB410_p0343c08元夜,小參。「市廛燈月皎,鼓吹鬧喧天,蒼童白叟相馳J38nB410_p0343c09逐,日上三竿猶未眠。我衲僧家也不可違時失候,佛J38nB410_p0343c10殿裡燈華晃晃,柏庭前野色娟娟,正好高奏陽春曲,J38nB410_p0343c11飽餐五味禪,曹酒臨風酌,趙茶擊石煎,任爾倒,隨爾J38nB410_p0343c12顛,雖然是個弄光影漢,總不離一片真月。汝等還見J38nB410_p0343c13真月麼?若也依稀彷彿,一並與汝道破。」揮拂子,云:「仰J38nB410_p0343c14不高,鑽不堅,忽不後,瞻不前,千眼大悲覷不見,十五J38nB410_p0343c15團圓照滿天。」
J38nB410_p0343c16堂眾請小參。問:「德山小參不荅話,藥山小參不點燈,J38nB410_p0343c17今夜西明燈又點,和尚還荅話否?」師云:「兩重公案。」進J38nB410_p0343c18云:「祗如無舌人如何解語?」師擊拂子,云:「還聞麼?」僧無J38nB410_p0343c19語,師云:「作佛著坐禪,猛將事執鞭。坐禪圖作佛,青天J38nB410_p0343c20墜鬼窟;不坐禪、不作佛,花街柳巷耍樂兒,也堪授記J38nB410_p0343c21於燃燈佛。須知此一事,明如日、黑似漆,追覓無從、商J38nB410_p0343c22量不及,達磨西來猶不識。雖不識,急著力,忽朝夾路J38nB410_p0343c23相逢,一生參學事畢。」復舉:「藥山一夜不點燈小參,云:J38nB410_p0343c24『我有一句子,待特牛生兒即向汝道。』時有僧出云:『特J38nB410_p0343c25牛已生兒矣,自是和尚不道。』藥山喚侍者:『點燈來。』其J38nB410_p0343c26僧抽身入眾。」師云:「藥山藏頭露尾,這僧藏尾露頭,雖J38nB410_p0343c27則明投暗合,未免令人長吁短歎。西明今夜燈燭輝J38nB410_p0343c28煌,照天照地,也不說一句、也不說三句,汝祗一隊特J38nB410_p0343c29牛,不解生兒作活,只顧屙屎撒尿,好與放出溪東溪J38nB410_p0343c30西,免致污穢清淨伽藍地。茲因暮夜,且放過一著。」
J38nB410_p0344a01徹空首座請小參。師云:「撥草瞻風,期逢明眼;匡徒領J38nB410_p0344a02眾,貴得良材。還有恁麼人行恁麼事麼?試舉看。昔日,J38nB410_p0344a03臨濟在黃檗裁松次,黃檗見云:『深山中栽許多松作J38nB410_p0344a04麼?』濟云:『一與山門作景致,二與後人作榜樣。』道了,以J38nB410_p0344a05钁頭𡎺地三下,檗云:『雖然如是,子已喫吾三十棒了J38nB410_p0344a06也。』濟又𡎺地三下,噓一噓,檗云:『吾宗到子,大行於世。』」J38nB410_p0344a07師云:「二祖師資,一言印證,直得亙古亙今,宗風顯赫。J38nB410_p0344a08山僧雖作他家雲,仍俯仰捫心,能無怍乎?慰爾山居J38nB410_p0344a09有年,道行無疵,不望超宗異目,但得齊眉共躅,幸矣。」J38nB410_p0344a10遂顧左右,云:「山僧恁麼放醜,未免笑倒傍觀。」便退座。
J38nB410_p0344a11請普說。「參禪須具參禪眼,看教須具看教眼。宗亦通,J38nB410_p0344a12教亦通,猶如杲日處虛空。個中倘有其人,不妨出來J38nB410_p0344a13喝散大眾,何等慶快!如無,一任山僧弄葛藤去。昔世J38nB410_p0344a14尊說法時,有阿那律尊者只管瞌睡,佛呵云:『咄!咄!何J38nB410_p0344a15好睡?螺螄蚌蛤類,一睡一千年,不識佛名字。』尊者深J38nB410_p0344a16自呵責,至七日七夜不睡,遂失肉眼,立得天眼,見三J38nB410_p0344a17千大千世界如庵摩羅果。尊者可謂剖石得璞,抉蚌J38nB410_p0344a18逢珠,從古至今,人多錯會。後楊岐遠祖一日攜一籃J38nB410_p0344a19螺螄入禪堂,云:『買螺螄!買螺螄!』命眾下語,皆不契。窟J38nB410_p0344a20老宿云:『某甲有語。』場岐云:『汝作麼生道?』老宿放身便J38nB410_p0344a21臥,楊岐放下籃子便行。」師云:「若不同床睡,焉知被裡J38nB410_p0344a22穿?如此老宿,土曠人稀,相逢者罕。今人若未到老宿J38nB410_p0344a23處,任終日眼瞠瞠地,總是箇瞌睡漢。又雲門問陳橾J38nB410_p0344a24尚書云:『如何是教意?』書云:『黃卷赤軸。』門云:『這個是文J38nB410_p0344a25字語言,作麼生是教意?』書云:『口欲談而辭喪,心欲緣J38nB410_p0344a26而慮忘。』雲云:『口欲談而辭喪,為對有言;心欲緣而慮J38nB410_p0344a27忘,為對妄想。作麼生是教意?』書無語。門云:『經中道:「一J38nB410_p0344a28切治生產業皆與實相不相違背。」且道非非想天今J38nB410_p0344a29日有幾人退位?』書又無語。」師云:「棒打石人頭,嚗嚗論J38nB410_p0344a30實事,末後不合白日青天開眼說夢。今現前大眾也J38nB410_p0344b01須別具一隻眼,不可終日被黑豆換卻。又,石鞏禪師J38nB410_p0344b02見馬祖得悟之後,只張弓架箭接人。一日,三平來參,J38nB410_p0344b03鞏云:『看箭。』平展開胸,云:『這個是殺人箭,如何是活人J38nB410_p0344b04箭?』鞏扣弓弦三下,平禮拜,鞏折箭,云:『三十年張弓架J38nB410_p0344b05箭,只射得半個聖人。』平後再參大顛,舉前話,顛云:『既J38nB410_p0344b06是活人箭,因甚向弓弦上覓?』平無語,遂折伏。後得悟,J38nB410_p0344b07承嗣大顛。」師云:「出齏缸,入醋甕,三平未是真龍;拋弓J38nB410_p0344b08折箭,石鞏可謂勞而無功矣。雖然,比今之學者未參J38nB410_p0344b09學先圖印證,堂頭老漢也不審其有頭腦、無頭腦,只J38nB410_p0344b10管將冬瓜印子印將去,以致養子不及父,家門一世J38nB410_p0344b11衰。又,趙州諗禪師凡見僧來參,便喚喫茶。一日,有二J38nB410_p0344b12僧來參,一進門、一未進門,州俱喚喫茶。院主問云:『進J38nB410_p0344b13門者喚他喫茶,未進門者因甚亦喚他喫茶?』州喚院J38nB410_p0344b14主,主應諾,州云:『喫茶去。』」師云:「趙州老漢大用現前,慣J38nB410_p0344b15得其便。今有會其意者,也請歸堂喫茶;不會其意者,J38nB410_p0344b16也請歸堂喫茶。只是不許打溼脣嘴。」便下座。
J38nB410_p0344b17對吳禹欽居士靈小參。云:「塵世韶光促,須臾四月天,J38nB410_p0344b18百花將褪落,萬景日推遷。當人倘向推遷裡悟得千J38nB410_p0344b19生不壞、萬劫長存底面目,雖死猶活;若心隨境轉、意J38nB410_p0344b20為物遷,明昧兩岐,自埋自棄,雖活如死,所謂活人路J38nB410_p0344b21上有死人無數也。禹欽居士生平素心自牧,孝行無J38nB410_p0344b22虧,及至沉痾之際,不為病苦所移,無慮無思,自由自J38nB410_p0344b23在,預知時至,告眾而歸,豈非生死海中脫生死漢耶?J38nB410_p0344b24如來所說說此,眾生所修修此,山僧所指指此。」擊拂J38nB410_p0344b25子,云:「即此物,非他物,人間天上不知名,三世如來從J38nB410_p0344b26此出。」復擊一拂。
J38nB410_p0344b27對林母陳孺人靈小參。云:「萱庭春色正芳菲,夜雨瀟J38nB410_p0344b28瀟灑翠微,奼女已歸霄漢去,依然古鏡照人輝。」以拂J38nB410_p0344b29子作圓相,云:「這一面古鏡本自天然,不假鋾鑄,不但J38nB410_p0344b30照人,而且照天、照地、照古、照今,諸佛向這裡成、眾生J38nB410_p0344c01向這裡度、十方世界向這裡立、夢幻空花向這裡結,J38nB410_p0344c02死生交謝、寒暑迭遷,總不離這裡。于今特與打破,直J38nB410_p0344c03令光影俱忘,不見有天地古今、不見有眾生諸佛,十J38nB410_p0344c04方世界悉皆銷殞,夢幻空花掃蹤滅跡。正恁麼時,新J38nB410_p0344c05故陳孺人向何處安身立命?」良久,云:「蓬島瑤池留不J38nB410_p0344c06住,七重寶樹日優遊。」
J38nB410_p0344c07為天馬智融禪人小參。云:「高升羽翼脫凡籠,生死關J38nB410_p0344c08頭力用功,天馬一朝騎得著,東西馳騁輔城峰。城峰J38nB410_p0344c09輔起,受用莫窮,行也天馬、住也天馬、坐也天馬、臥也J38nB410_p0344c10天馬,有時向天馬吟風笑月、有時向天馬補竹刪雲、J38nB410_p0344c11有時向天馬送客迎賓、有時向天馬牽犁拽耙,無端J38nB410_p0344c12得意雙騎馬,被馬蹄一踢踢倒,至今起不得現前。大J38nB410_p0344c13眾!還有相救者麼?如無,山僧為伊救起去也。」遂聳身,J38nB410_p0344c14云:「還見麼?」
J38nB410_p0344c15對余子玉居士靈小參。「天下秋將半,流空月王▆,西J38nB410_p0344c16風吹落葉,惆悵故人歸。」擊拂子,云:「現前清眾向這▆J38nB410_p0344c17識得故人,便識得居士子玉,四十餘年戒心不變、道J38nB410_p0344c18念日新,見賢思齊、聞過必改,處市井而埽盡塵緣、惜J38nB410_p0344c19丹青以作佛事,未造古稀,寂然長往,湖海相知,誰不J38nB410_p0344c20歎惜者哉?但修道之人必須悟得本來面目,離見、離J38nB410_p0344c21聞,無名、無相,描不成、畫不就,先天地而不生、後天地J38nB410_p0344c22而不滅,一點圓明無向背,大千世界等空花。」
J38nB410_p0344c23啟懺,居士吳起翰等請小參。「笙歌遍奏,燈乃交▆,▆J38nB410_p0344c24林解袋,庵舍安期,不是扳條扳例,蓋為箇循誘,宜十J38nB410_p0344c25方聚會,千聖揚眉,況復干戈寢息,風雨及時,天心既J38nB410_p0344c26已轉,正法不堪離,鏡臺勤拂拭,寶杵力提持,力提持,J38nB410_p0344c27勝與山僧慶古稀。」復舉:「誌公和尚寄語青原思和尚J38nB410_p0344c28云:『何不下山教化眾生?一向目視雲霄作麼?』思云:『三J38nB410_p0344c29世諸佛被我一口吞盡,何處更有眾生可度耶?』」師云:J38nB410_p0344c30「今日對境逢緣,特為頌出:騁馬登山疾似飛,拜封不J38nB410_p0345a01受掛簑衣,若無光武尋知己,誰識子陸坐釣磯?」
J38nB410_p0345a02為闇然監院六旬小參。云:「昔馬大師云:『自從胡亂後,J38nB410_p0345a03三十年不少鹽醬。』茲監院闇然自從鏟草後,三十年J38nB410_p0345a04不少鹽醬。初於座山晨鐘暮鼓、運水搬柴,費多鹽醬;J38nB410_p0345a05繼於雲峰攤經對月、補衲裁雲,費多鹽醬;及乎隨住J38nB410_p0345a06此山,扶涼人大樹、開頂門正眼,費多鹽醬。即此鹽醬J38nB410_p0345a07與馬大師鹽醬還有分別也無?今者年造六旬,山翁J38nB410_p0345a08對泉舉揚,畢竟如何酬價?」遂豎起拄杖,云:「喚作拄杖J38nB410_p0345a09則觸,不喚作拄杖則背,全身拄戶與撐門,聲名不亞J38nB410_p0345a10楊岐會。」便轉身。
J38nB410_p0345a11為扶桑隱元和尚進齒髮塔。起龕。師拈拄杖云:「付畢J38nB410_p0345a12金襴歸去來,不遊南嶽與天台,將云故國風光別,依J38nB410_p0345a13舊山門八字開。這老漢雖然熟處難忘,未免慈悲太J38nB410_p0345a14煞,末著猶遺照世之毫、咬人之齒,豈惟似普化之鐸?J38nB410_p0345a15誠乃同少林之履。政當恁麼時,提起好?放下好?潭北J38nB410_p0345a16湘南都莫問,腳頭腳底總家山。」遂引。
J38nB410_p0345a17進塔。師捧起瓶,云:「跨海非常木,撐天必異材,大人行J38nB410_p0345a18履處,豈是強安排?二十餘年建法幢於十二峰頭,二J38nB410_p0345a19十餘年提祖印於百千里外,驅耕奪食,罩鳳羅龍,播J38nB410_p0345a20太白之真風,衍楊岐之嫡派,名高一代,化被萬方,此J38nB410_p0345a21皆太和老和尚行解相應所致。雖然如是,猶屬光影J38nB410_p0345a22邊事,祗如法眼無瑕,法身無相。」敲瓶,云:「這個是相耶?J38nB410_p0345a23非相耶?是法身耶?非法身耶?於此息影韜光,旋機就J38nB410_p0345a24位去,直得諸天散花無路,四眾景仰無門,常寂光中J38nB410_p0345a25端自在,超今超古鎮乾坤。」遂送進。
J38nB410_p0345a26諸居士設齋,請小參。師云:「昔道宣律師戒行清高,法J38nB410_p0345a27眼圓明,時與天人相見。宣問天云:『世間功德以何為J38nB410_p0345a28最?』天云:『齋僧為最。』宣曰:『何也?』天曰:『佛乃已成之佛,世J38nB410_p0345a29人悉知皈依供養,不足為奇。僧初修行,道行未純,法J38nB410_p0345a30眼未明,世人發心供養,令其心性無雜,戒行精專,法J38nB410_p0345b01眼圓明,直至成佛,故乃功德為最。』」師云:「於此信得極J38nB410_p0345b02去,喚作僧禮佛也得,喚作佛禮僧也得,喚作居士齋J38nB410_p0345b03僧也得,喚作居士齋佛也得,心、佛、眾生三無差別。若J38nB410_p0345b04但住相布施,今朝植種子,他年樹蓋天。」便起身。
J38nB410_p0345b05為杜則林居士對靈小參。云:「過量人作過量事,動轉J38nB410_p0345b06施為,縱橫逆順,能令世間人疑殺,亦能令世間人愧J38nB410_p0345b07殺。然上古之世,比比皆然;在今之世,雖不多見,亦往J38nB410_p0345b08往有之。如我同門杜翁林居士,一生行履比古人不J38nB410_p0345b09甚優劣,但所知者罕,未免借拄杖子為其饒舌也。」卓J38nB410_p0345b10拄杖,云:「還知麼?只這居士當年少之時,惟詩畫是耽,J38nB410_p0345b11以笙歌為樂,有時行觴作賦,有時馳馬穿楊,非傍花J38nB410_p0345b12隨柳,即遊水玩山。及登壯歲,遂自知非,覺富貴若浮J38nB410_p0345b13雲,視功名為糟粕,打破慳囊,潛行美事,或重整浮屠,J38nB410_p0345b14或遍裝寶像,或揮金建剎,或捨宅延僧,誠今時之給J38nB410_p0345b15孤長者也。纔知生死事大,即遍尋師友,問道談禪,人J38nB410_p0345b16見其機鋒敏峻,識見高明,皆生敬仰。適我金粟老人J38nB410_p0345b17從江浙入莆時,即摳衣往叩,朝夕盤桓,深入閫奧。我J38nB410_p0345b18老人見其天資秀拔,筆力精雄,大事雖未豁然,而作J38nB410_p0345b19用有過人處,故以如意付之,仍囑其更自琢磨,是以J38nB410_p0345b20從此閉門謝客,向百尺竿頭高進一步,眠不倒床、食J38nB410_p0345b21無求飽,日只焚香煮茗、翻閱經書以自適,幾欲入山,J38nB410_p0345b22蓋為世途孔棘而不遂其志。不期一旦四大違和,即J38nB410_p0345b23藥劑不求、水漿不飲,自知世緣已盡,親書辭世之語J38nB410_p0345b24請諸山面別,向談笑中吉祥而逝。觀其如此操履,豈J38nB410_p0345b25不高出世人一頭地耶?昔維摩示疾,佛命諸弟子到J38nB410_p0345b26其家問疾,各說不二法門,維摩惟默然而已。龐公將J38nB410_p0345b27終,謂于頔相公云:『但願空諸所有,切勿實諸所無。』遂J38nB410_p0345b28枕其膝而化。古今這一夥過量人多向塵勞中大作J38nB410_p0345b29佛事,所謂不出魔界而入佛界,踢倒涅槃城、優游生J38nB410_p0345b30死海,無脫無拘,隨處自在者也。然則拄杖子恁麼饒J38nB410_p0345c01舌,畢竟與其實際理地還有交涉也無?」良久,云:「大抵J38nB410_p0345c02還他肌骨好,不塗脂粉也風流。」靠拄杖而退。
