J37nB390_p0539a03 J37nB390_p0539a04示眾。「至道無難,惟憑息見。祗此息見二字,是斷生死J37nB390_p0539a05根株底刀子。何以?你若不作生死見,何處得有生死J37nB390_p0539a06來?有般底認著未開口已前是主,開口後是賓。既認J37nB390_p0539a07著未開口時是主,豈不是死見?認著開口後是賓,豈J37nB390_p0539a08不是生見?未開口已前,無問無答,無見無聞,豈不是J37nB390_p0539a09屬無?已開口後,有問有答,有主有賓,豈不是屬有?若J37nB390_p0539a10恁麼分別,有無俱在,生死全張,正落在斷常坑裏,如J37nB390_p0539a11何叫做了生脫死?我且問你:未開口已前,賓在甚麼J37nB390_p0539a12處?既開口後,主在甚麼處?正恁麼時,莫是賓主歷然J37nB390_p0539a13麼?若你何者是你自己,莫見恁麼道,便云:二邊俱不J37nB390_p0539a14著,中道不須安。逢人便喝,逢人便打,謂之洒落不認J37nB390_p0539a15物。又將古人卻物為上,逐物為下之句為証。若恁麼,J37nB390_p0539a16二邊中道總成心外之法。汝所認者,即是法外之心,J37nB390_p0539a17轉見不堪。不見退翁師祖道:『要去佛見,莫以靜處為J37nB390_p0539a18是;要去眾生見,莫以鬧處為非。』所以,我去歲在毘盧J37nB390_p0539a19除夕,曾作偈示蘊書記曰:『日日日是三十日,時時時J37nB390_p0539a20是未生時。今日大年三十日,來朝元旦拜年時。』還會J37nB390_p0539a21麼?如不會,只須自著精彩,別人替你不得,莫只認名、J37nB390_p0539a22認相、認言語。古人只叫你體會大道,不曾叫你認著J37nB390_p0539a23一切轉加生死。須知師家一言半句借路逕過,他不J37nB390_p0539a24作箇解會,他不將實法繫縛人。潼泉恁麼道,已是惡J37nB390_p0539a25口罪過不少,言多則去道遠矣。待汝打破蔡州城,殺J37nB390_p0539a26卻吳元濟時,再來與汝商量。久立,珍重。」
J37nB390_p0539a27除夜,兩序請上堂。舉:「北禪賢禪師小參,云:『年窮歲盡,J37nB390_p0539a28無可與諸人分歲,老僧烹一頭露地白牛、炊黍米飯、J37nB390_p0539a29煮野菜根、燒骨柮火,大家喫了唱村田樂。何故?免見J37nB390_p0539a30倚他門戶傍他牆,剛被時人喚作郎。』便下座,歸方丈。J37nB390_p0539b01至夜深,維那入方丈,云:『縣中有公人勾和尚。』禪曰:『作J37nB390_p0539b02什麼?』那云:『道和尚宰牛不納皮角。』禪遂捋下頭帽擲J37nB390_p0539b03在地上,那便拾去,禪跳下禪床,攔胸擒住,叫云:『賊!賊!』J37nB390_p0539b04那將帽覆禪頂,曰:『天寒,且還和尚。』禪呵呵大笑,那便J37nB390_p0539b05出去。時法昌為侍者,禪顧昌云:『這公案作麼生?』昌云:J37nB390_p0539b06『潭州紙貴,一狀領過。』」師云:「北禪私宰耕牛,惹人聒噪,J37nB390_p0539b07雖然膽潑,未是好手。若無一箇頭帽,不知將底完事。J37nB390_p0539b08潼泉這裏年窮歲盡,亦無可與諸人分歲,只是煮瓔J37nB390_p0539b09珞粥、烹野菜根,大家喫得飽鼻鼻地,彼彼山中人共J37nB390_p0539b10說山中話。雖然,有頭水牯牛從不曾將眼覷著,任他J37nB390_p0539b11山頭山尾、溪東溪西,有時耕雲犁雨、帶水拖泥,有時J37nB390_p0539b12高臥煙霞、藏頭斂尾,不須照顧,那假鞭繩?」擊拂子,高J37nB390_p0539b13聲召眾,曰:「還見麼?頭角崢嶸芳草地,皮毛交互月明J37nB390_p0539b14中。」便下座。
J37nB390_p0539b15安陸府三閒闍黎元旦設齋,請上堂。拈香祝 聖畢,J37nB390_p0539b16就座。舉:「香嚴閒禪師曰:『去年貧,未是貧。今年貧,始是J37nB390_p0539b17貧。去年貧,猶有卓錐之地。今年貧,錐也無。』洞山文和J37nB390_p0539b18尚曰:『去年富,不是富。今年富,始是富。去年富,祗有一J37nB390_p0539b19領黑黲布褊衫。今年富,添得一件百衲山水袈裟。歲J37nB390_p0539b20朝抖擻呈禪客,實謂風流出當家。』」師云:「二大老,一人J37nB390_p0539b21誇富,一人張貧。彼此異趨,互分途轍。潼泉也不富,也J37nB390_p0539b22不貧。天高地厚,日月齊明。祗餘一頂袈裟在,遞代相J37nB390_p0539b23傳無舊新。信手拈來撩亂搭,忍辱柔和似不曾。法王J37nB390_p0539b24寶座親登陟,為祝 皇王億萬春。」拈拄杖卓一下,曰:J37nB390_p0539b25「此是祖花孫重,父業子承。且道還有欣誇也無?」喝一J37nB390_p0539b26喝,曰:「四海浪平龍穩睡,九天雲盡鳳高騰。」
J37nB390_p0539b27辛酉人日,毘盧瑛監寺設齋,請小參。舉:「雲門道:『直得J37nB390_p0539b28盡乾坤無纖毫過患猶是轉句,不見一色始是半提,J37nB390_p0539b29更須知有向上全提時節。』作麼生是全提的句?」一僧J37nB390_p0539b30云:「不得春風力,怎見百花香?」師云:「猶是轉句。」一僧云:J37nB390_p0539c01「掀翻海嶽求知己,撥轉乾坤見太平。」師豎起拂子云:J37nB390_p0539c02「試向這裏撥看。」僧一喝,師云:「何曾撥得?」一僧出,禮拜J37nB390_p0539c03歸位,師云:「大似真。」乃曰:「瑛監寺去歲發心欲於元旦J37nB390_p0539c04辦齋,山僧不許,初二、初三亦不許,那至人日?昨夜知J37nB390_p0539c05客來報:『明日要請上堂。』山僧曰:『我這裏正徹困,上甚J37nB390_p0539c06麼堂?』再乞不已,許他小參。一夜思量無啟口處,至早J37nB390_p0539c07粥後供過,童子謂曰:『已掛小參牌了也。』我曾問副寺J37nB390_p0539c08師:『如何是小參?』寺曰:『吃粥。』『如何是大參?』寺曰:『吃飯。』山J37nB390_p0539c09僧道:『只恐不是玉,是玉也大奇。』乃問童子:『汝作麼生J37nB390_p0539c10會?』童曰:『是真底。』山僧便劈面一掌,童忙然,山僧叱曰:J37nB390_p0539c11『去!』童便珍重去。且道淆訛在甚麼處?於此明得,全提J37nB390_p0539c12半提自知下落,乃至德山棒、臨濟喝、柏樹子、麻三斤、J37nB390_p0539c13乾矢橛、俱胝指、石鞏弓,一一如觀掌果。於此不明,咫J37nB390_p0539c14尺之間何啻千里萬里?」復舉:「本仁禪師上堂曰:『老僧J37nB390_p0539c15尋常不欲向聲前色後鼓弄人家男女,何故?且聲不J37nB390_p0539c16是聲、色不是色。』僧問:『如何是聲不是聲?』仁曰:『喚作色J37nB390_p0539c17得麼?』『如何是色不是色?』仁曰:『汝喚作聲得麼?』僧作禮,J37nB390_p0539c18仁曰:『且道為汝說、答汝話?若向者裏會得,有箇入處。』」J37nB390_p0539c19師拈拄杖卓一下,云:「機輪轉處誰堪委?縱是張良恐J37nB390_p0539c20損神。」又卓一卓,下座。
J37nB390_p0539c21如城托缽,小參。舉:「阿難入廛托缽,世尊曰:『當依七佛J37nB390_p0539c22儀式。』阿難問曰:『如何是七佛儀式?』世尊喚阿難,阿難J37nB390_p0539c23應諾,尊曰:『托缽去。』」師舉畢,乃大咳一聲,眾罔措,復曰:J37nB390_p0539c24「若更問如何是七佛儀式,待歸來時為汝說破。」
J37nB390_p0539c25普度寺西印闍黎領周新宇、唐玉卿、嚴美吾、袁玉林J37nB390_p0539c26居士設齋,請上堂。師曰:「有情之本,依智海以為源;含J37nB390_p0539c27識之流,總法身而為體。識得此體,聖凡一體;識得此J37nB390_p0539c28源,河海一源。其或不然,未免為蛇添足去也。」拈拄杖J37nB390_p0539c29卓一下,曰:「男兒自有衝天志,不向如來行處行。」
J37nB390_p0539c30解制,上堂。問:「東風拂盡凍雲天,春在枝頭眾鳥喧,百J37nB390_p0540a01匝千重即不問,衝關奪角請師宣。」師云:「一任輕帆過J37nB390_p0540a02洞庭。」進云:「教中道:『若謂如來有所說法,即為謗佛。』和J37nB390_p0540a03尚即今是有說耶?無說耶?」師豎起拂子。進云:「恁麼則J37nB390_p0540a04嘗憶江南三月裏,鷓鴣啼處百花香。」師云:「且緩緩。」乃J37nB390_p0540a05云:「今朝正月半,打鼓普請看。一日三上堂,分明呈舊J37nB390_p0540a06面,露柱掛燈籠,山門穿佛殿,嶺梅造次開,池水斟酌J37nB390_p0540a07泮,萬別與千差,吾道一以貫。」拈拄杖,卓一卓,云:「放出J37nB390_p0540a08南山白額,驚散狐狼野干。」拈拄杖,下座。
J37nB390_p0540a09慧明大德為師亮如五旬誕辰,請陞座。喝一喝曰:「於J37nB390_p0540a10此明得,其壽也廣,其德也隆,其福也厚,其孝也至。三J37nB390_p0540a11世諸佛無不於此度生,歷代祖師無不於此說法,天J37nB390_p0540a12下老和尚無不於此建立宗旨,乃至接引後昆老幼J37nB390_p0540a13貴賤男女僧俗無不於此立命安身,受用自在。一切J37nB390_p0540a14智智清淨,無二無二分,無別無斷故。釋迦老子說到J37nB390_p0540a15這裏,已是隨波逐浪。山僧不妨多處添些。」擊拂子曰:J37nB390_p0540a16「雲外已來硃頂鶴,庭前久立翠髯松。」
J37nB390_p0540a17竟陵廣德聶善人請陞座。「觀自在菩薩行深般若波J37nB390_p0540a18羅密多時,照見五蘊皆空,五蘊空處用無盡,用無盡J37nB390_p0540a19處力有餘,力有餘處生死滅,生死滅處眼中楔。眼中J37nB390_p0540a20既不容楔,則無戲論之法,亦無驚異之談,湛寂虛凝,J37nB390_p0540a21了無依倚。雖居塵勞火宅,恒修般若正因;雖處窮谷J37nB390_p0540a22深山,不捨度生之念。一毫頭上分身,萬象叢中獨露,J37nB390_p0540a23一為無量,無量為一,大中現小,小中現大,上合十方J37nB390_p0540a24諸佛同一慈力,下合一切眾生同一悲仰。雖然如是,J37nB390_p0540a25要且不是衲僧行履處。且如何是衲僧行履處?」以拄J37nB390_p0540a26杖架肩,云:「楖栗橫擔不顧人,直入千峰萬峰去。」便下J37nB390_p0540a27座。
J37nB390_p0540a28辛酉仲春十三日,為先老和尚小祥,陞座。拈香曰:「此J37nB390_p0540a29一瓣香,以萬丈廬山為其始,高厚莫及;以千仞黃鵠J37nB390_p0540a30為其終,寬廣有餘。爇向爐中供養,孤危不立、道出常J37nB390_p0540b01情嘯堂大和尚。」斂衣就座。曰:「去年今日實不去,捻指J37nB390_p0540b02光陰三百日;今年今日實不來,相將攜手上花臺。殷J37nB390_p0540b03勤報與諸禪客,現成面目莫疑猜。作麼生是現成面J37nB390_p0540b04目?」良久曰:「萬古長空風月在,一回相見一傷神。」
J37nB390_p0540b05竟陵紫芝菴又唯、襄仁二當家,同非隱法師設齋,請J37nB390_p0540b06上堂。乃云:「窮玄究妙,徒費精神,向上提持,望空啟告。J37nB390_p0540b07二途不涉,誰是知音?棒喝交馳,難為作者。直饒迦文J37nB390_p0540b08始祖四十九年橫說、豎說、廣說、略說,頓、漸、偏、圓、秘密、J37nB390_p0540b09不定,皆為逗機之談,未是真實之說。」遂拈起拄杖曰:J37nB390_p0540b10「看!看!偏也,圓也,頓也,漸也,是秘密,是不定。」隨卓一卓,J37nB390_p0540b11「三段不同,收歸上科。」
J37nB390_p0540b12上堂。拈拄杖卓一下,云:「恁麼會得,正是眼中撒沙、耳J37nB390_p0540b13裏注水;不恁麼會,亦如敲冰索火、緣木求魚。潼泉恁J37nB390_p0540b14麼道,何異身外尋身、夢中說夢?誰知道無迷悟,發證J37nB390_p0540b15由師,運萬行之因、華嚴一身之極果,或尋師於窮谷、J37nB390_p0540b16或禮友於市廛,循途覺尊,漸進知尊,直須燒卻青龍J37nB390_p0540b17鈔,始解呵佛罵祖,不惜桶底脫,自然蓋地函天。」乃大J37nB390_p0540b18喝一喝,云:「還會麼?出群本是英靈漢,敵勝還他獅子J37nB390_p0540b19兒。」
J37nB390_p0540b20晚參。「六祖云:『非風動,非幡動,仁者心動。』曾覺云:『非心J37nB390_p0540b21動。』」師曰:「既非風、幡、心動,畢竟作麼生動?」一僧云:「現成J37nB390_p0540b22行貨,不欠分文。」師展手,云:「布施一文來。」僧禮拜,師打,J37nB390_p0540b23云:「元來將不出。」良久,乃曰:「非風動,非幡動,等閒藉沒J37nB390_p0540b24空王俸;是風動,是幡動,蛇死從來須活弄。曹溪路上J37nB390_p0540b25覓疏親,勸君莫作辰朝夢。」喝一喝,曰:「前路艱危,伏惟J37nB390_p0540b26珍重。」
J37nB390_p0540b27丙午仲夏,雲南沅江府駐鎮總戎王公起龍、太守潘J37nB390_p0540b28公士秀請師就本郡萬德禪寺為四眾說三檀大戒J37nB390_p0540b29畢,仍請陞座。問答竟,師乃豎起拄杖招眾曰:「看看,自J37nB390_p0540b30從威音王那畔更那畔,無有威音王名字,卓有這箇,J37nB390_p0540c01頭頭無礙、法法全該,不用思量,十分成現,及至拈花J37nB390_p0540c02微笑、畫樣起模,斷臂安心、分枝布葉,今日落在萬德J37nB390_p0540c03手裏,了無顧惜。」卓一卓曰:「恁麼放去,如天普蓋。」又卓J37nB390_p0540c04一卓曰:「恁麼收來,似地普擎。」連卓兩卓曰:「不收不放,J37nB390_p0540c05地厚天高;全放全收,天迴地轉。離此四句且作麼生J37nB390_p0540c06承當?」良久,乃大喝一喝云:「你若肩背有力,盡情擔取J37nB390_p0540c07去。」復舉:「僧問乾峰:『十方婆伽梵,一路涅槃門,未審路J37nB390_p0540c08頭在什處?』峰以拄杖畫一畫曰:『在這裏。』」師云:「可惜一J37nB390_p0540c09路涅槃門被乾峰一時畫斷,不但這僧踏腳不上,至J37nB390_p0540c10令十方婆伽梵進退無由。若問萬德:『路頭在什處?』但J37nB390_p0540c11向他道:『看腳下。』若是眼清腳健底,敢保得路便行。後J37nB390_p0540c12來這僧舉似雲門,門曰:『扇子𨁝跳上三十三天,觸著J37nB390_p0540c13帝釋鼻孔;東海鯉魚打一棒,雨似盆傾。』雲門慈悲,特J37nB390_p0540c14殺八字打開,叵耐這僧依然不能入作。」召眾云:「還知J37nB390_p0540c15麼?二大老總被這擔板漢一齊看破了也。且道:畢竟J37nB390_p0540c16路頭在什麼處?咄!平地上抬腳不起底有甚麼限?」便J37nB390_p0540c17下座。
J37nB390_p0540c18晚參。「未跨門限,早與三十。已入門來,合喫多少?」僧才J37nB390_p0540c19出,師便打。僧一喝,師又打。一僧曰:「早已喫棒了也。」師J37nB390_p0540c20曰:「把髻投衙。」僧一喝,師曰:「蝦跳何曾出得斗。」
J37nB390_p0540c21上堂。「佛法二字,匙挑不上,筯攪不開,風吹不入,雨洒J37nB390_p0540c22不濕。孤迥迥,活潑潑,取之無能,捨之不得。有時遍天J37nB390_p0540c23涯而無朕跡,有時無朕跡而遍天涯。不是神通妙用,J37nB390_p0540c24亦非法爾如然。脫下貼肉布衫,頭頭赤體全提;不坐J37nB390_p0540c25百尺竿頭,著著渾彰大用。向赫日裏崩雷,晴空中走J37nB390_p0540c26電。斷大小乘於井索錢貫,塞有無漏於笊籬木杓。透J37nB390_p0540c27聲色於聲色,超死生於死生。水到渠成,風行草偃。正J37nB390_p0540c28恁麼時,如何受用?」喝一喝,曰:「打麵還他州土麥,唱歌J37nB390_p0540c29須是帝鄉人。」
J37nB390_p0540c30為新戒,晚參。拈起拄杖,曰:「看!看!過去諸如來,斯門已J37nB390_p0541a01成就。」左邊卓一卓,曰:「且向這邊立。未來修學人,當依J37nB390_p0541a02如是學。」右邊卓一卓,曰:「且向這邊立。現在諸菩薩,今J37nB390_p0541a03各入圓明。」中間卓一卓,曰:「且向正中立。」豎起拄杖,曰:J37nB390_p0541a04「更有一人居何位次?識得此人,不但一生參學事畢,J37nB390_p0541a05抑令戒體當處圓成,便能截生死流、登無為岸,梯航J37nB390_p0541a06九有、津濟四生。」隨擲下拄杖,云:「佛子住此地,則是佛J37nB390_p0541a07受用。」
J37nB390_p0541a08晚參。拈拄杖扣空,云:「敲空作響,誰是知音?」復擊禪床,J37nB390_p0541a09云:「擊木無聲,徒勞側耳,嚇得無位真人七顛八倒,扶J37nB390_p0541a10也扶不起、把也把不定。試問諸人:如何與伊作主?妃J37nB390_p0541a11無,山僧今日失利。」
J37nB390_p0541a12上堂。「一九與二九,相逢不出手。三九與四九,騎馬冰J37nB390_p0541a13上走。撞著跨虎豐干,笑我衣穿露肘。滿面慚惶忍不J37nB390_p0541a14禁,急喚春光早回首。柳漸舒眉,桃漸開口。萬卉敷榮,J37nB390_p0541a15眾竅哮吼。文殊普賢,齊奔競走。咄咄!休奔走。此身已J37nB390_p0541a16在長安,莫問咸陽到否。」
J37nB390_p0541a17法華寺法印闍黎五旬初度設齋,請上堂,乃曰:「初二J37nB390_p0541a18日已前,囫圇無縫罅;初二日已後,洞達沒遮欄;正當J37nB390_p0541a19初二日,八面靈瓏,十方通暢。進一步,日照寒光澹;退J37nB390_p0541a20一步,山遙翠色新。折旋契其祖意,俯仰順於時宜,大J37nB390_p0541a21好恁麼時節,何妨多處添些?潼泉本色住山,毫無蓄J37nB390_p0541a22積,豎劈洞山貼秤底橫織段錦,文義交加;細披雲門J37nB390_p0541a23奉持底高飣滿盛,滋味具足,三世諸佛、歷代祖師一J37nB390_p0541a24總吞吐不下。山僧親從神通大光明藏來,有箇方便,J37nB390_p0541a25使天下衲僧領文義於光彩門頭、識滋味於舌根之J37nB390_p0541a26下,這般說話也是慶讚因齊。祗如不落數量一句作J37nB390_p0541a27麼生道?」驀豎拂子,曰:「清光恒遍炤,天命又重新。」揮拂J37nB390_p0541a28子,下座。
J37nB390_p0541a29佛成道日說菩薩大戒,景陵圓智道人設齋,請上堂。J37nB390_p0541a30「黃面老人昨夜三更失卻火,天明起來失卻井,上大J37nB390_p0541b01人全無依倚,丘乙己沒處躲根。爾小生孟孟浪浪,何J37nB390_p0541b02曾知覺?行者起來,敲鐘伐鼓,截路攔街,山僧大步連J37nB390_p0541b03忙趕上,一手和贓捉敗。」喝一喝,云:「聲聞、緣覺、諸佛、菩J37nB390_p0541b04薩,民非水火不生活,日用現行一一皆從這裏去。贓J37nB390_p0541b05物既在,你敢大膽?既到公堂,且作麼生判斷?」復喝一J37nB390_p0541b06喝,云:「可知禮也。」
J37nB390_p0541b07師到德山訪,山學和尚當日率武陵眾居士請上堂。J37nB390_p0541b08問:「大振宗風即不問,威音那畔事如何?」師云:「且過這J37nB390_p0541b09邊著。」進云:「水向石邊流出冷,風從花裏過來香。」師云:J37nB390_p0541b10「那裏得者消息來?」僧禮拜,師棒,云:「切忌錯承當。」乃云:J37nB390_p0541b11「衲僧行履,若片雲舒卷無心;道者家風,似野鶴飛騰J37nB390_p0541b12絕跡。掀翻海岳,未遇賞音;掇轉乾坤,欣逢知己。制毒J37nB390_p0541b13龍、調正象,有我法兄和尚;提正眼、振頹綱,直接德山J37nB390_p0541b14老人。某暫到來,命陞此座,辭既不獲,只得客聽主裁。J37nB390_p0541b15若論佛法,豈肯唐突大眾?」乃拈拄杖,卓一卓,云:「還委J37nB390_p0541b16悉麼?只有天在上,更無山與齊。」
J37nB390_p0541b17景陵胡夫人五旬誕辰,請上堂。「漠漠水田,白鷺類之J37nB390_p0541b18弗齊;陰陰夏木,黃鸝混即知處。法身無相,南山翠聳J37nB390_p0541b19千尋;法眼無瑕,東海碧澄萬丈。塵塵華藏莊嚴,剎剎J37nB390_p0541b20寶王國土。於斯明得,自他不隔毫端;於斯未明,始終J37nB390_p0541b21不離當念。祗如慶祝一句畢竟作麼生道?九皋鳴鶴J37nB390_p0541b22聲聞遠,雙桂齊榮日月長。」
J37nB390_p0541b23晚參。「佛之心,天高地厚。祖之髓,源遠流長。」良久曰:「還J37nB390_p0541b24見佛祖心髓麼。」擊拂子一下。「自從春色來嵩少,五葉J37nB390_p0541b25芬芳香到今。」
J37nB390_p0541b26元旦,上堂。拈香祝 聖畢,以拂子點空,曰:「元旦舉筆,J37nB390_p0541b27萬事俱吉。一毫端上,文彩全彰。百億山河,花攢錦簇。J37nB390_p0541b28湖南北龍吟霧起,淛東西虎嘯風生。明良歌有道,喜J37nB390_p0541b29起贊無為。雨暘時若,物阜民豐。使天下強項禪流,人J37nB390_p0541b30人唱箇過頭大諾。展胸懷,拓機用,朝宗萬派,電卷千J37nB390_p0541c01機,總在今日發其端,濟其美。」乃喝一喝,曰:「但願春風J37nB390_p0541c02齊著力,一時吹入我門來。」
