次日武昌洪山潤堂和尚請上堂。「法興打鼓四大部J37nB390_p0536b22州同參洪山設齋潼泉寺裏陞座袈裟蓋覆乾坤J37nB390_p0536b23盂囊藏日月諸仁各各有灶門樣張口要且無啟處J37nB390_p0536b24有板門樣雙腳要且無行處若向者裏開得口行得J37nB390_p0536b25少間隨例餐䭔子若開不得行不得也終少他一J37nB390_p0536b26分不得何故不見道是法平等無有高下。」復喝一喝J37nB390_p0536b27乃舉:「法燈和尚云:『山僧本欲深棲巖竇隱遁過時J37nB390_p0536b28緣先師有未了公案出來為他了卻。』睿也愚拙祗合J37nB390_p0536b29深棲業緣逼拶將來到處把茅隨分不敢露布胸襟J37nB390_p0536b30今承京景鄂渚緇白高賢命住此山展轉湖湘滇蜀J37nB390_p0536c01別無他意亦因先師有則未了公案也索為他了卻J37nB390_p0536c02且道先師公案作麼生了?」卓拄杖:「斷金義在須同J37nB390_p0536c03調齒鏃機存賴後賢。」下座

立兩序上堂。「潼泉深邃地原高四海群賢伴寂寥J37nB390_p0536c05念祖庭秋晚日剎竿扶起在今朝所以云光揚法會J37nB390_p0536c06要是其人建立化門必資作者楊岐兩箇燈盞昭著J37nB390_p0536c07千古保壽一片生薑辛辣萬年。」展兩手:「三世諸佛J37nB390_p0536c08無不於此用心歷代祖師無不於斯竭力始終不易J37nB390_p0536c09可以攪長河為酥酪表裏一如可以變大地作黃金。」J37nB390_p0536c10起身拱手:「伏望眾慈咸相贊化。」

誕先監寺復一勵行二副寺請上堂。「即心即佛頭上J37nB390_p0536c12安頭非心非佛離波求水不是心不是佛不是物J37nB390_p0536c13繩自縛深慨近世禪流總不識些子好惡守著箇定J37nB390_p0536c14相門頭以為極則腳跟下終朝煙雨濛濛直饒當門J37nB390_p0536c15按口寶劍與伊斬斷命根一一教伊向父母未生前J37nB390_p0536c16相見若總不聽教詔大有地頭安頓此人在惟有雪J37nB390_p0536c17珠床上申頭縮項的與賣生薑漢子聚首商量也甚J37nB390_p0536c18奇怪解道近日湖南鹽貴米賤到處叢林杓大碗小J37nB390_p0536c19拄杖子不在苕帚柄聊與三十何故且放此話大行。」

竟陵廣德聶善人五旬誕後請上堂。「一舉四十九J37nB390_p0536c21行不到五十以學易末後太過無量壽王隨處安樂J37nB390_p0536c22二六時中莫亂斟酌聞聲不是耳與觀音同一耳聞J37nB390_p0536c23見色不是眼與文殊同一眼見分別不關心與普賢J37nB390_p0536c24同一心知處處超情越格頭頭接物利生說箇五百J37nB390_p0536c25一千大似持螺添海棒土培山只如應時慶讚一句J37nB390_p0536c26作麼生道夏末桃方熟秋初日正長。」

為懷亮院主除靈小參。「青山矗矗綠水濯濯郭公郭J37nB390_p0536c28姑惡姑惡天恁高地恁博何處可存元字腳四方J37nB390_p0536c29八面絕遮欄誰肯無繩自纏縛只如獨脫一句又作J37nB390_p0536c30麼生桑田滄海渾閒事六月山房冷似冰。」

晚參師問:「世尊不說說迦葉不聞聞前事如何?」J37nB390_p0537a02著語不契請代語師曰:「十八女子不穿裙。」眾亦不會J37nB390_p0537a03遂頌曰:「十八女子不穿裙深宮靜夜少人行玉容寂J37nB390_p0537a04寞欄干倚無限相思話不成。」

小參舉臨濟上堂曰:「赤肉團上有一無位真人。」語畢J37nB390_p0537a06師曰:「臨濟雖善作竊收放自如檢點將來也是驢前J37nB390_p0537a07馬後。」

晚參舉臨濟如今更思一頓誰為下手因緣師曰:「J37nB390_p0537a09人盡道臨濟乃握閫外威權者僧未具透關眼目J37nB390_p0537a10不知只消者僧道箇某甲下手臨濟便膽戰心驚J37nB390_p0537a11忙腳亂。」

小參。「結冬來半月了半月前不問你半月後道將一J37nB390_p0537a13句來。」一僧云:「待某甲禮拜和尚。」師便打一僧曰:「山門J37nB390_p0537a14佛殿後。」師云:「前後一齊收。」僧便喝師便打乃曰:「J37nB390_p0537a15門前佛殿後向上向下全提半提正法眼藏涅槃妙J37nB390_p0537a16德山棒臨濟喝是什破草鞋總拈置一壁畢竟如J37nB390_p0537a17歸堂吃茶。」

開爐日星沙南雲毘盧監寺毓秀同兩序率南雲眾J37nB390_p0537a19檀護辦齋請上堂拈香祝J37nB390_p0537a20聖畢復拈香:「此一瓣香慣自寒灰發燄常從暗裏J37nB390_p0537a21抽條能與佛祖為儀型能與人天作津梁第三回拈J37nB390_p0537a22爇向爐中供養報國堂上不識冷暖的嘯堂老和J37nB390_p0537a23用酬法乳。」維那白槌竟:「祖席蕭條慶幸重開生J37nB390_p0537a24選佛場中幾人得力?」師云:「大家出隻手。」進云:「萬象J37nB390_p0537a25森羅明明歷歷如何是沙門眼?」師云:「。」進云:「好手手J37nB390_p0537a26中呈好手。」師云:「沒這閒工夫。」乃云:「爐韝宏開鉗鎚惡J37nB390_p0537a27鋾鑄聖凡揀選材器主賓相見須辯端倪驀劄翻J37nB390_p0537a28誠非細事不見道大凡舉唱宗乘一句中具三玄J37nB390_p0537a29一玄中具三要有權有實有照有用時當像季J37nB390_p0537a30多乾慧那能入得這般門戶潼泉這裏祗用一箇筋J37nB390_p0537b01暴暴骨稜稜生鐵鑄就的拳頭放開則和泥合水J37nB390_p0537b02汝點頭捏聚則大地無門佛祖乞命不捏不放通袖J37nB390_p0537b03過時於此明得正是塗中露布於此不明未具參學J37nB390_p0537b04眼在越格高流如何話會?」卓拄杖一下:「臥龍纔奮J37nB390_p0537b05丹鳳便翱翔。」

小參舉黃檗普請鋤地因緣畢師曰:「維那扶起有主J37nB390_p0537b07有賓臨濟道:『諸方火葬我者裏活埋。』倚勢欺人黃檗J37nB390_p0537b08便掌也是不奈船何打破戽斗。」

晚參:「臨濟上堂曰:『有一人論劫在途中不離家舍J37nB390_p0537b10有一人離家舍不在途中阿那箇合受人天供養?』」J37nB390_p0537b11:「途中家舍家舍途中臨濟小廝兒只具一隻眼J37nB390_p0537b12人緇素得出合受人天供養如其不然滴水難消。」

晚參舉臨濟上堂赤肉團上有一無位真人語畢J37nB390_p0537b14:「臨濟大似阿修羅王托動三有大城藏入藕絲孔J37nB390_p0537b15者僧膽大心麤也能衝鋒直入惜乎將成九仞之J37nB390_p0537b16不進一簣之上待臨濟纔恁麼道即便呵呵大笑J37nB390_p0537b17臨濟縱有長處也須滿面慚惶。」

上堂:「世尊初生一手指天一手指地周行七步J37nB390_p0537b19顧四方:『天上天下惟吾獨尊。』雲門云:『我當時若見J37nB390_p0537b20一棒打殺與狗子吃貴圖天下太平。』」師云:「有者道J37nB390_p0537b21恩方解報恩有者道只有定亂之謀而無出身之路J37nB390_p0537b22者一隊漢正眼看來大似掉棒打月雲門棒雖行J37nB390_p0537b23知自過麼?」

新開鐘板示眾:「新鉗鎚舊爐韝火星迸處眼疾手J37nB390_p0537b25於第一槌下荐得渾剛打就於第二搥下荐得J37nB390_p0537b26鐵鑄成於第三槌下荐得迥無背面於中要選一員J37nB390_p0537b27為首座若人檢點得出不妨兩手分付。」

當晚示眾垂問:「潼泉一派浪急源深瓔珞撩天珍珠J37nB390_p0537b29撒地魚龍莫喻鶯鷂難窺作何方便得與法興相見?」J37nB390_p0537b30久無眾出師云:「萬古碧潭空界月再三撈摝始應知。」

起精進七小參拈拄杖卓一卓喝一喝:「德山入門J37nB390_p0537c02便棒立地要你搆去臨濟入門便喝鏟地要你會去J37nB390_p0537c03見汝諸人不會卻入露柱去也汝更擬議思量帶累J37nB390_p0537c04山僧在汝腳底。」又喝一喝

上堂:「正值嚴寒又逢冬至如何是應時及節的句?」J37nB390_p0537c06師云:「今日上堂。」進云:「昨日雨今日晴明甚麼邊事?」J37nB390_p0537c07:「忙煞闍黎。」僧便喝師云:「閒煞闍黎。」:「五葉芬芳即J37nB390_p0537c08不問潼泉一派事如何?」師云:「不到滄溟勢不休。」進云J37nB390_p0537c09大開爐韝鍛煉聖凡祗如不受煆煉的衲僧如何接J37nB390_p0537c10?」師云:「千鈞之弩不為鼷鼠而發。」進云:「百匝千重如J37nB390_p0537c11何施設?」師提拄杖云:「一一在臨時。」進云:「恁麼則腳跟J37nB390_p0537c12點地去也。」師便喝:「如何是隨波逐浪句?」師云:「你問J37nB390_p0537c13我答。」進云:「如何是函蓋乾坤句?」師云:「無你出頭處。」J37nB390_p0537c14:「如何是斬新條令句?」師云:「禮拜了退。」進云:「早是晴J37nB390_p0537c15梅香撲鼻一天春色滿皇都。」師云:「大好一聯詩。」乃云J37nB390_p0537c16恁麼恁麼金勒馬嘶芳草地不恁麼不恁麼玉樓人J37nB390_p0537c17醉杏花天不恁麼中卻恁麼芳草地嘶金勒馬恁麼J37nB390_p0537c18中不恁麼杏花天醉玉樓人於此明得落霞孤鶩齊J37nB390_p0537c19於此不明秋水長天一色。」喝一喝:「千溪萬派源J37nB390_p0537c20頭活不到滄溟勢不休。」復舉:「洛浦見夾山不禮拜J37nB390_p0537c21手而立山云:『雞栖鳳巢非其同類出去!』浦云:『自遠趨J37nB390_p0537c22請師一接。』山云:『此間無老僧目前無闍黎。』浦便喝J37nB390_p0537c23山云:『切莫草草忽忽雲月是同溪山各異坐斷J37nB390_p0537c24天下人舌頭則不無闍黎怎教無舌人解語?』浦佇思J37nB390_p0537c25山便打。」師云:「洛浦只解慎初不能護末他既雲月是J37nB390_p0537c26我便溪山各異愁甚無舌人不解語才見夾山恁J37nB390_p0537c27麼道便與掀翻禪床豈不光前裕後潼泉恁麼道J37nB390_p0537c28道還肯諸方麼?」

小參。「滴水冰生三世諸佛無出頭分惟有普賢菩薩J37nB390_p0537c30略較些子汝等諸人向什處摸索?」一僧出:「日出後J37nB390_p0538a01。」師打:「一場懡㦬。」一僧云:「竹密不妨流水過山高J37nB390_p0538a02豈礙白雲飛?」師云:「普賢菩薩在甚麼處?」僧擬對師打J37nB390_p0538a03:「眼見如盲。」僧便喝師又打:「口說如啞。」乃云:「眼見J37nB390_p0538a04如盲口說似啞擬問如何劈頭便打白日青天之乎J37nB390_p0538a05者也。」

上堂:「臨濟道:『有時一喝如金剛王寶劍有時一喝J37nB390_p0538a07如踞地獅子有時一喝如探竿引草有時一喝不作J37nB390_p0538a08一喝用。』」師喝一喝:「且道者一喝是金剛王寶劍J37nB390_p0538a09踞地獅子是探竿引草是一喝不作一喝用?」師召眾J37nB390_p0538a10:「還有道得者麼如無山僧自道去也。」便喝

小參。「𮭗𮭗𮭗𮭗終朝兀兀栖煙島腳下魚行總J37nB390_p0538a12不知耽耽只視池塘草守到天昏地黑時空腹高心J37nB390_p0538a13飛去了知他何處是歸林前路茫茫添懊惱知是魚J37nB390_p0538a14形是蚌形傷哉惜哉如何好好好好爭免山禽舌噭J37nB390_p0538a15?」

早參僧問:「如何是空如來藏?」師云:「道什麼?」「如何是不J37nB390_p0538a17空如來藏?」師云:「念千念萬。」「如何是空不空如來藏?」J37nB390_p0538a18豎起竹篦:「你喚這箇作甚麼?」:「祖師云:『第一句薦J37nB390_p0538a19堪與佛祖為師第二句薦得堪與人天為師第三J37nB390_p0538a20句薦得自救不了。』」師云:「恁般說話皆為慈悲之故J37nB390_p0538a21落草之談山僧且不然第一句薦得好肉剜瘡第二J37nB390_p0538a22句薦得捏目生花第三句薦得簸土揚塵舉起也J37nB390_p0538a23回地轉放下也海晏河清不舉不放畢竟如何?」一眾J37nB390_p0538a24默然師曰:「蝦蟆窟裏打坐。」

早參。「今朝三月一光陰真可惜春山遠若眉春雨濃J37nB390_p0538a26如汁春日不曾晴春色從何覓?」卓拄杖一下:「潦倒J37nB390_p0538a27靈雲見不全桃花幾陣空狼籍。」

因雪上堂。「千峰捏聚萬派凝流獸戰兢兢飛走迷J37nB390_p0538a29魚龍活潑潑騰躍無門釋迦老子飲氣吞聲文殊J37nB390_p0538a30普賢藏身露影觀世音菩薩大慈悲菩薩雖有熱肚J37nB390_p0538b01嘴也沒處插。」拈拄杖:「惟有這上座略較些子J37nB390_p0538b02道這上座有什長處?」卓一下:「日出後看。」

竟陵晞翁吳護法遣使為先和尚送塔金入山上堂J37nB390_p0538b04:「我手何似佛手?」師云:「終日拈香運帚。」「我腳何似驢J37nB390_p0538b05?」師云:「高低步步踏著。」「人人有箇生緣如何是某甲J37nB390_p0538b06生緣?」師云:「我知你是齊昌人。」僧禮拜師云:「三段不同J37nB390_p0538b07今當第一。」乃云:「江月照松風吹永夜清霄何所為J37nB390_p0538b08迦示寂露雙趺于擴外到底婆心未歇臨濟垂死J37nB390_p0538b09正眼于驢邊至今毒氣猶存丈夫氣概合如斯吾師J37nB390_p0538b10但唱雪花飛渾身骨肉冷如銕不遇知音不解頤。」J37nB390_p0538b11兩手呈書顧眾云:「祗這箇便是知音一切成現不用J37nB390_p0538b12周由者也孰效代宗索樣國師胡亂指呈帶累後代J37nB390_p0538b13兒孫湘南潭北描畫難成至令琉璃殿上果無知識J37nB390_p0538b14汝等要見無縫塔麼?」良久:「佛祖於中藏不得天人J37nB390_p0538b15萬古共瞻依。」

師在塔頭同野潛居寧運機三大師圍爐行者以手J37nB390_p0538b17過茶遂戲之曰:「箇是一夥不上臺盤的漢。」因而為題J37nB390_p0538b18各各衝口說法師云:「阿哥不上臺盤諸弟何由見客J37nB390_p0538b19大丈夫豈肯畏刀避箭一齊推向堂前播弄一場家J37nB390_p0538b20。」舉盞云:「箇盃茶幾人吞吐得下若非咽喉龍侗J37nB390_p0538b21覆梵天的漢子鮮能知味。」遂撲碎盞子

比丘戒期竟陵圓智一念二道人設齋請上堂:「J37nB390_p0538b23座當軒即且置今朝說戒事如何?」師云:「一超直入如J37nB390_p0538b24來地。」進云:「高沙彌不登壇便云具足憑何道理?」師云J37nB390_p0538b25是伊不借他人力。」進云:「必定得何三昧?」師云:「東廊上J37nB390_p0538b26西廊下下。」進云:「現前新戒與高沙彌還有優劣也J37nB390_p0538b27?」師云:「優則總優劣則總劣。」進云:「不優不劣又作麼J37nB390_p0538b28?」師便打:「與汝羯磨竟。」乃云:「滴水冰生風高月冷J37nB390_p0538b29黑漆拄杖未嘗騰踏諸方碧眼胡僧終日圍爐瞌睡J37nB390_p0538b30那來佛法二字涴人胸臆今因圓智一念二道人揮J37nB390_p0538c01金辦供請陞此座。」擊拂子:「他既家珍托出我當寶J37nB390_p0538c02藏洞開名香萬品先抱旃檀大寶千般必求如意J37nB390_p0538c03之者戒不持而自潔行不修而自圓以之報君親則J37nB390_p0538c04祚壽彌昌以之廕子孫則福德綿遠為無為益無益J37nB390_p0538c05梯航九有津濟四生皆出乎當人固有初非假於他J37nB390_p0538c06術也山僧恁麼道是花鋪錦上拄杖子更要多處J37nB390_p0538c07添些。」隨卓一下:「香國持來飯一團馨香百味力充J37nB390_p0538c08大乘即此為前導海口難將福德宣。」

葛八菩薩戒期安陸府三閒穎石二闍黎同合郡諸J37nB390_p0538c10山並卓居士設齋請上堂師云:「內不放出的固守珍J37nB390_p0538c11外不放入的耽著嬉戲從來不隔絲毫特地關山J37nB390_p0538c12萬里依他門戶傍他牆不曾踏著逕截路不見釋迦J37nB390_p0538c13老子於今日夜睹明星忽然大悟便云:『奇哉一切眾J37nB390_p0538c14生皆有如來智慧德相蓋因妄想執著不能證得。』J37nB390_p0538c15等還曾恁麼一回也未如或不曾山僧為汝指出J37nB390_p0538c16不得情存聖解第二不得語滯凡情第三不得奇J37nB390_p0538c17特商量第四莫行半懷常實第五不得總不恁麼J37nB390_p0538c18不得夾帶將來第七不得錯過目前第八不得認J37nB390_p0538c19著自出得如許閒門破戶自然踏著通天大路便J37nB390_p0538c20與三世諸佛歷代祖師把手同行一花一國土一葉J37nB390_p0538c21一釋迦主伴重重十方普會。」遂高聲喝曰:「更有殊途J37nB390_p0538c22異轍者吾弗信也。」
