J36nB357_p0581a02丹霞禪師劈木佛燒取舍利,院主呵之,鬚眉脫落。秀J36nB357_p0581a03大和尚語錄先於辛丑年刻成行世,祝融峰頭迴風J36nB357_p0581a04爇燄,光燭四天下,大地六種震動,板中舍利隨風雨J36nB357_p0581a05下,學徒愍後來聾瞽不聞不見,復於山邊、水邊、竹林J36nB357_p0581a06池沼邊、明光殿邊、茆屋草茇邊、百草枝頭邊、糞壤土J36nB357_p0581a07堆邊拾取一二,復成十卷。刻成,付使者問序於予,余J36nB357_p0581a08焚香頂禮,命使者於庭曰:「當日祝融老人業已和盤J36nB357_p0581a09托出;今日又煩木上座一一宣揚。」使者曰:「也須居士J36nB357_p0581a10證明,請為木上座點出雙晴,普施後來學者。」余曰:「使J36nB357_p0581a11者!大家照顧眉毛好。分付毛頭記室,不得矢上更加J36nB357_p0581a12尖,從此法雨周沙劫。」

西來秀野林禪師語錄序
J36nB357_p0581a22往歲登百丈山,與秀大師晤言一室,殊深景仰。辛丑J36nB357_p0581a23之二月,師錄既脫草,隨過峴南,惠然臨貺,而以序言J36nB357_p0581a24見屬,余自愧佛頭著糞矣!雖然有說焉!茫茫宇宙三J36nB357_p0581a25聖鼎分,要之,闡明心性而止。試觀達磨初入東國,不J36nB357_p0581a26立文字,直指人心,見性成佛,明乎赤子知能,即聖神J36nB357_p0581a27功化,亦曰孃生面、亦曰不壞身、亦曰真如法藏,斂之J36nB357_p0581a28則一掬,散之則三車十二部、千七百則公案、古今諸J36nB357_p0581a29尊宿語錄、一切文字禪。浩若滄海,返而扣之,自本自J36nB357_p0581a30根處,絲毫無增減也。人若於此認得真、站得定,磨鍊J36nB357_p0581b01得潔潔白白,顯現本來面目,何玅弗臻哉?古德云:「說J36nB357_p0581b02得一丈,不及行得一尺。」大師信根深厚、道力清堅,自J36nB357_p0581b03童山參請以還,益加熏習濟宗一脈,與老黃龍覿面J36nB357_p0581b04印可,是故著為法語,字字從心性中出,頭頭自體驗J36nB357_p0581b05上來,掃盡葛藤、打穿漆桶,授者非啞謎、受者非盲拳,J36nB357_p0581b06嘲風弄月之間,極得意忘言之玅。方今門庭四出、壇J36nB357_p0581b07坫叢開,提唱若西來者,指不多屈矣!《錄》中奧旨,賴有J36nB357_p0581b08鉅公大手筆徹底掀翻,何難使日星之在天、江河之J36nB357_p0581b09行地?即欲向此外贅隻字亦奚以為?余不文,不得已J36nB357_p0581b10而揚聲止響,尾之續不猶愈於頂之屙乎?但所願世J36nB357_p0581b11之覽者,不言而躬行、因權以化實。舌尖無骨,當觀言J36nB357_p0581b12句之總持;眉稜有筋,請具戲游之三昧。庶幾哉不負J36nB357_p0581b13師意,並有鑒於余衷也夫。謹序。

J36nB357_p0582a04順治丁酉歲六月二十九日,師受眾護法、紳衿、檀越、J36nB357_p0582a05居士暨諸山耆舊、本寺監院請住西來禪寺,於十月J36nB357_p0582a06十五日進院。即日,眾護法請開堂。師至座前拈啟示J36nB357_p0582a07眾云:「文采全彰。廓落煥然。迥沒摸索,現前一眾英靈,J36nB357_p0582a08共有常光顯露。大眾!還委悉麼?如或未會,仰煩維那J36nB357_p0582a09宣過。」宣畢,指法座云:「坐斷路頭,魔狐潛蹤,達磨不識、J36nB357_p0582a10威王沉吟。大眾還識路頭麼?試看新長老放一線道。」J36nB357_p0582a11遂陞。拈香云:「者瓣香,根盤空劫、葉覆今時,信手拈來,J36nB357_p0582a12爇向寶爐,端為祝延J36nB357_p0582a13今上皇帝聖躬萬歲萬歲萬萬歲,恭願道愈三皇,仁風J36nB357_p0582a14齊北極稱尊;德冠五帝,睿算等南山永固。」次拈云:「者J36nB357_p0582a15瓣香,布則金聲玉振,合則條理始終,奉為滿朝文武、J36nB357_p0582a16闔國公卿、天下列位尊官,伏願祿位高登,永佐君王J36nB357_p0582a17施仁政;法幢弘護,長勷列祖振宗風。」復拈云:「者瓣香,J36nB357_p0582a18顯示當陽,直截現成,奉為護法、紳衿、居士、列剎高賢、J36nB357_p0582a19本山耆德,伏願豁開頂門,正眼洞徹,一貫圜機。」又拈J36nB357_p0582a20云:「者瓣香,深藏大機、廓顯大用,今對人天眾前拈出,J36nB357_p0582a21爇向爐中,專伸供養現住襄陽府百丈山黃龍堂上J36nB357_p0582a22傳臨濟正宗第三十三世本師奇然智大和尚,用酬J36nB357_p0582a23法乳。」攝衣就座。上首白椎云:「法筵龍象眾,當觀第一J36nB357_p0582a24義。」師云:「當觀第一義,露刃霜鋒利,掣電羅影蹤,萬里J36nB357_p0582a25更萬里。還有獨露者麼?」僧問:「四相皆空、三心未有,是J36nB357_p0582a26箇甚麼?」師云:「頭頭獨露。」進云:「意旨如何?」師云:「處處全J36nB357_p0582a27彰。」進云:「恁麼學人禮拜和尚去也!」師云:「好與三十拄J36nB357_p0582a28杖。」問:「和尚未登寶華王座,甘露已潤群生時如何?」師J36nB357_p0582a29云:「開豁人天眼,渾忘舊面皮。」進云:「謂是山靈有待?謂J36nB357_p0582a30是法爾如然?」師云:「顯大機大用。」進云:「恁麼西來法道J36nB357_p0582b01從今振,枯木重開劫外華。」師云:「瞻之仰之。」驀拈拄杖J36nB357_p0582b02云:「神光一道,烜赫十方;玅體無形,炳然萬象。寒風颯J36nB357_p0582b03颯、清機歷歷;霜華巧呈,堂堂覿面。所以道:『用時便用,J36nB357_p0582b04心無定動;隨處作主,遇緣即宗。無倚無依,自繇自在。』J36nB357_p0582b05祇如今日開堂祝聖一句作麼生道?皇風蕩蕩被寰J36nB357_p0582b06宇,兆姓歌歡逾萬春。」復舉:「古德道:『夫為善知識,須是J36nB357_p0582b07驅耕夫牛、奪饑人食。驅耕夫牛,令苗稼滋盛;奪饑人J36nB357_p0582b08食,令永絕饑虛。』大眾!古德竊得些子活計,氣宇如王,J36nB357_p0582b09擒縱自由。這樣說話,諸方舉者甚多,聞者如風過耳,J36nB357_p0582b10殊不知古德一期方便與伊摧魔破執,既驅其牛、奪J36nB357_p0582b11其食,為甚麼卻苗稼滋盛,永絕饑虛?」喝一喝云:「驅其J36nB357_p0582b12牛耶?奪其食耶?還有緇素得出底麼?試出來呈醜拙J36nB357_p0582b13看。如無,禍不單行,福不重受。」上首復結椎云:「諦觀法J36nB357_p0582b14王法,法王法如是!」卓拄杖下座。謝辭不錄
J36nB357_p0582b15立職事,上堂。「眾兄弟!既到者裏挂搭,都是三條椽下J36nB357_p0582b16客,宜從履踐自了心休。二六時中,事在精勤、行存潔J36nB357_p0582b17白,忘憎愛、絕是非,隻腳立定,冰凌上度九曲,劍刃上J36nB357_p0582b18拾全身,恁麼謂之極則。呵呵!正是錯認驢鞍橋作阿J36nB357_p0582b19爺下頷。且從容,莫疑猜,西來與現前兄弟行也如是、J36nB357_p0582b20坐也如是,箇箇衣下本來現成,搬柴運水、執爨負舂、J36nB357_p0582b21烹茶挈瓶、拋籌拈杓、營繕屋廬、事持齋饌、採擇菜果、J36nB357_p0582b22支收出內、糊窗拭器、掃地裝香,街坊打化、賓客送迎、J36nB357_p0582b23主伴交參,乃佛祖始終正行,自成一家規繩,事事圜J36nB357_p0582b24融、塵塵方便,叢林隨事立名、因名顯分,輕重得所、優J36nB357_p0582b25劣無差,規矩以之而立、法幢因茲而興。山僧只管牽J36nB357_p0582b26枝引蔓,萬種施為,拿空塞空、以毒攻毒。秖如展佛祖J36nB357_p0582b27現成家風,布叢林斬新條令又作麼生?髑髏前暗行J36nB357_p0582b28賞罰,電光裏明驗主賓。」喝一喝,下座。
J36nB357_p0582b29次日結制,請上堂。「西來結制,雲水濟集,把住咽喉,甚J36nB357_p0582b30處出氣?非是山僧壓良,只為諸人不薦。汝諸人薦麼?J36nB357_p0582c01若薦得,各各清淨寶爐不假莖柴塊炭,晝夜熾然,無J36nB357_p0582c02迴避處、無間隔處。所以,諸佛證知,空明廓徹,得大自J36nB357_p0582c03在、興大作用,故云:『如我按指,海印發光,眾生昧之,逐J36nB357_p0582c04妄受生,業識忙忙,無本可據。』所以,世尊道:『汝暫舉心,J36nB357_p0582c05塵勞先起。』現前緇素、貴賤、男女自肯回光,悟同本得。J36nB357_p0582c06有本得底麼?出來道看!」僧問:「和尚今日結制,十方衲J36nB357_p0582c07子聚會,以眾為心,心不可得,和尚還有箇甚麼?」師云:J36nB357_p0582c08「打草正要驚蛇。」進云:「莫塗糊人好。」師云:「你刺腦入膠J36nB357_p0582c09盆作麼?」便打。問:「年年月月十五日,和尚因甚又認著J36nB357_p0582c10十月十五日?」師打云:「伊看是十五日、不是十五日聻?」J36nB357_p0582c11僧禮拜,師云:「儱侗不少。」復云:「秋末冬初,九旬茲始,事J36nB357_p0582c12不獲已,放一線道。」拈拄杖云:「會麼?若也未會,山僧更J36nB357_p0582c13為諸人顯露去也。」拽拄杖下座。
J36nB357_p0582c14安陸戎府大誕,請上堂。「『通達本法心,無法無非法,悟J36nB357_p0582c15了同未悟,無心亦無法。』古德恁麼道,既是無心又無J36nB357_p0582c16法,卻喚甚麼作本法?本法又作麼生通達?諸人大須J36nB357_p0582c17細意,者箇常露現前,自由自在,未曾有一法解蓋得J36nB357_p0582c18伊、未曾有一法解等得伊,轉轆轆底蓋色蓋聲,周流J36nB357_p0582c19無滯,不與萬法為鄰,一切法蓋伊不得。所以古德云:J36nB357_p0582c20『目前無法,意在目前;不是目前法,非耳目之所到。』諸J36nB357_p0582c21人委悉也無?若未委悉,不免為諸人註破。心不妄取J36nB357_p0582c22過去法,斯名為智;不貪未來事,斯名為慧;不於現在J36nB357_p0582c23有所住,斯名為定。如是了達三世悉空寂,此智、此慧、J36nB357_p0582c24此定一一無邊際,所以當陽一著,非異非如、非見非J36nB357_p0582c25說、非無非有、非佛非法,昭同杲日、廣若太虛。昔日黃J36nB357_p0582c26面老子於此示生修行、於此悟道成佛,全不由他,悉J36nB357_p0582c27承渠力,即如今千聖頂𩕳上掫出了也。」遂舉拂子云:J36nB357_p0582c28「還見麼?若是大人具大見、大智得大用,舉一明三底,J36nB357_p0582c29瞞他一點不得。何故?當人日用現成。今日山僧以此J36nB357_p0582c30廣大無邊際心說此廣大無邊際法,奉為J36nB357_p0583a01安陸戎府筠菴劉大護法高登祿位,慧性宏開,享富J36nB357_p0583a02貴、多子孫,永作皇家柱石、恒為佛法金湯。祇如即今J36nB357_p0583a03依時及節一句作麼生道?麗景重重彰瑞氣,壽山高J36nB357_p0583a04到大椿年。」下座。
J36nB357_p0583a05佛誕,黃奎芳、陳尚德二善士率合鎮檀越請上堂。「眹J36nB357_p0583a06兆纔彰成露布,呱聲未絕便橫行,指天指地提持處,J36nB357_p0583a07只要人人正眼明。赤骨師兒開巨口,通身現出大人J36nB357_p0583a08形。是則固是,今日人天俱集,為佛慶誕一句作麼生J36nB357_p0583a09道?今朝處處澆香水,東土西天共讚誠。」
J36nB357_p0583a10戎府劉護法▆僧請上堂。「考鐘伐鼓,獨震宏音,滿堂J36nB357_p0583a11龍象,廓開胸襟。親遭香積妙供,灼然六味徹心,不曾J36nB357_p0583a12咬著粒米,箇箇飽足歡欣。然雖如是,諸人還聞毛孔J36nB357_p0583a13香麼?若聞,廣慧心,酬大信,施興祚國,祝J36nB357_p0583a14聖皇猷。」復頌云:「毗耶城裏老維摩,不二門頭尟客過,J36nB357_p0583a15一箇無言寧有礙?頂𩕳醯眼耀山河。」下座。
J36nB357_p0583a16伽藍殿上梁,慈雲化主請上堂。「良辰高豎伽藍堂,輸J36nB357_p0583a17我禪林道播揚,衲子豁開正法眼,自然瀟灑絕諸望。J36nB357_p0583a18檀那家業永興盛,施主門闌恆吉祥,福慧莊嚴二種J36nB357_p0583a19備,獅床千古振宗綱。巨梁跨地衝霄碧,宛似蛟龍奮J36nB357_p0583a20翼翔,佳致斯山文兆出,相傳猶演濟燈長。」喝一喝!
J36nB357_p0583a21宜城縣萬壽寺,瑞林、寂空、見明禪德請上堂。「山僧二J36nB357_p0583a22十餘年行腳,今日偶開舖面,蓋為眾竭力,大有不著J36nB357_p0583a23便,汝諸人平地討喫交,過歸阿誰?然雖如是,事無一J36nB357_p0583a24向。」驀拈拄杖卓一下云:「兔角杖、龜毛拂,通身無影,覿J36nB357_p0583a25體離詮,道人安用,今古昭然,那有三玄三要?也無五J36nB357_p0583a26位君臣。」顧視左右云:「總來滯貨不出門。」
J36nB357_p0583a27上堂。「箇箇英靈猛烈漢,本來面目沒覆藏,盡大地人J36nB357_p0583a28無兩樣,何雖好肉上剜瘡?」復舉:「六祖大師云:『汝等諸J36nB357_p0583a29人自心是佛,更莫狐疑,外無一法而能建立,皆是本J36nB357_p0583a30心生萬種法。故《經》云:「心生種種法生、心滅種種法滅。」J36nB357_p0583b01若欲成就種智,須達一相、一行三昧。』六祖恁麼吐露,J36nB357_p0583b02山僧恁麼舉揚。」驀拈拄杖云:「昭昭然宇宙充塞,無相J36nB357_p0583b03可睹;晃晃焉色空混融,無跡可尋。上乃天、下乃地、中J36nB357_p0583b04間水陸空行。此是佛殿、僧堂、三門、廚庫,僧是僧、俗是J36nB357_p0583b05俗。敢問諸人,畢竟如何是一相、一行三昧?」卓拄杖下J36nB357_p0583b06座。
J36nB357_p0583b07忠宇葉居士撝金建新方丈,請師入室。「從上諸聖、當J36nB357_p0583b08代群英總踞此室,即今山僧又作麼生?」遂據座云:「恢J36nB357_p0583b09彰佛祖家風,克紹全提正令。如何是正令全提句?」喝J36nB357_p0583b10一喝,便起。
J36nB357_p0583b11自學、止幻禪德請上堂。「的的大意,沒量施彰,對無儔J36nB357_p0583b12侶,脫體堂堂。昔臨濟大師上堂云:『赤肉團上有一無J36nB357_p0583b13位真人,常在汝等面門出入,未證據者看看!』此老宿J36nB357_p0583b14與麼施陳……」驀拈拄杖卓一下云:「信手布施諸公了也。」J36nB357_p0583b15復舉起召眾云:「者是山僧拄杖,且道布施在甚麼處?J36nB357_p0583b16若向者裏辯得出,略較些子;如辯不出,未免困於途J36nB357_p0583b17轍。秖如不歷程途一句作麼生道?一氣不言含有象,J36nB357_p0583b18萬靈何處謝無私?」下座。
J36nB357_p0583b19黃龍命人送信衣到,上堂。師拈香,上首白椎畢,僧問:J36nB357_p0583b20「黃龍意旨轉至,西來意旨且置,請師敷揚。」師舉拂云:J36nB357_p0583b21「會麼?」進云:「不會。」師云:「放一線道。」乃云:「摩竭正令、少室J36nB357_p0583b22真規,風吹不入、水泄不通,西來已平地喫交了也,賴J36nB357_p0583b23有不二門頭放開一線。」撝拂子云:「人人威光閃爍、各J36nB357_p0583b24各不欠絲毫。雖然如是,更有向上一竅,三世諸佛莫J36nB357_p0583b25能宣揚,歷代祖師提掇不起。且道是箇甚麼物得與J36nB357_p0583b26麼奇怪?」復揮拂子云:「諸人見麼?若見得徹,非特吾老J36nB357_p0583b27人恩歸有地,直下人人不落第二見;不唯不落第二J36nB357_p0583b28見,抑乃各各知恩報恩。秖如今日應時及節一句作J36nB357_p0583b29麼生道?自笑衣穿赤骨露,一肩授手被金襴。」斂衣下J36nB357_p0583b30座。
J36nB357_p0583c01上堂。「忠宇葉居士、善女余氏捐淨財修設香齋,仍乞J36nB357_p0583c02山僧陞於此座,為眾顯揚臨濟宗猷,提持向上一路,J36nB357_p0583c03所願色身安泰,入道無難。」遂召眾云:「且喚甚麼作臨J36nB357_p0583c04濟宗猷?宗猷又如何顯揚?喚甚麼作向上一路?一路J36nB357_p0583c05復如何提持?」拈拄杖橫按云:「指縱萬別千差,獨脫一J36nB357_p0583c06字全無。到者裏,大師面目現在、河北風規猶古,所以J36nB357_p0583c07迸開赤肉團,用白拈賊,奮奔雷喝,捋猛虎鬚,大機大J36nB357_p0583c08用,電激星馳,於時脫羅籠、自此出窠臼,乃至衝天意J36nB357_p0583c09氣格外提持,都教箇箇契機、人人悟同。即此赤肉團,J36nB357_p0583c10全威烜赫,大用風旋,臨濟宗猷宛然見,透頂透底露J36nB357_p0583c11乾坤。」喝一喝。
J36nB357_p0583c12上堂。「濟濟人天駢驟集,相呈覿面沒多般。」揮拂云:「金J36nB357_p0583c13錘影動寒光燄,直下分明著耳觀。」喝一喝,下座。
J36nB357_p0583c14懷江周居士請上堂。「不是心、不是佛、不是物,是箇甚J36nB357_p0583c15麼?脫或未委,與諸人通箇消息。」舉拂云:「於此脫落,豁J36nB357_p0583c16開金剛正眼、普照大千世界,一毛頭上安身,一一毛J36nB357_p0583c17頭顯現。一一毛頭既爾,一一包融無礙,人人遍普風J36nB357_p0583c18光、各各乾坤逼塞,能為萬象中主,法法頭頭自在。」下J36nB357_p0583c19座。
J36nB357_p0583c20臘八,上堂。舉:「世尊臘八睹明星時,忽云:『奇哉!一切眾J36nB357_p0583c21生具有如來智慧德相,但以妄想執著不能證得。』」師J36nB357_p0583c22云:「若論山僧見處,月娟娟,萬水不能沉;風冷冷,六窗J36nB357_p0583c23自能啟。老瞿曇垛生招箭,認賊為子。然雖如是,知恩J36nB357_p0583c24者少,負恩者多。」遂豎拂子云:「大眾!還見世尊立地處J36nB357_p0583c25麼?若見得,許具隻眼,玉轉珠回機路活,風飛雷厲頂J36nB357_p0583c26眼空;若不見,許具隻眼,珊瑚枝枝撐著月,扶桑夜夜J36nB357_p0583c27日頭紅。如或未委,更聽一頌:六年孤坐雪山翁,一睹J36nB357_p0583c28明星眼豁空,百億分身無覓處,是凡是聖悉潛蹤。」下J36nB357_p0583c29座。
J36nB357_p0583c30歲朝,上堂。拈香祝J36nB357_p0584a01聖畢,乃云:「今日正月初一,大眾明明薦取。」遂舉拂云:J36nB357_p0584a02「會麼?」良久,劃一劃云:「識得一,事事畢,一即一切,一切J36nB357_p0584a03即一,一舒一卷大都委悉。草木叢林皆現玅相,大地J36nB357_p0584a04山河盡轉法輪。道泰時清,歌歡滿處,既非世諦流布,J36nB357_p0584a05抑且納節應時。正當恁麼時一句作麼生道?淡蕩春J36nB357_p0584a06風育萬物,巍然海印照三千。」撝拂下座。
J36nB357_p0584a07解制,上堂。僧問:「布袋解開天地闊,腳下無私任往還,J36nB357_p0584a08般若門開即不問,如何是一條白練去?」師云:「衲捲高J36nB357_p0584a09雲千嶂碧。」進云:「劃斷青山未足酬,如何是一念萬年J36nB357_p0584a10去?」師云:「目前不許停機,回互不讓當前。」進云:「芒鞋筋J36nB357_p0584a11斷通消息,枯木華開劫外春。」師云:「明明全正令,梅花J36nB357_p0584a12香更妍。」問:「封侯豈是尋常調?肘後斜懸奪命符,擒縱J36nB357_p0584a13殺活無能敵,三玄五位一齊周。今日請師不接?」師云:J36nB357_p0584a14「一片白雲不露醜。」進云:「萬里共長天,三山瞻霽色。」師J36nB357_p0584a15云:「點就乾坤面。」進云:「金剛寶劍,截斷玄機;正眼摩醯,J36nB357_p0584a16光吞佛祖。」師云:「頂門隻眼亞雙。」進云:「放行光蔽五天,J36nB357_p0584a17捏住風馳萬里。」師豎拂云:「且道這箇放行?把住?」進云:J36nB357_p0584a18「大眾證明,學人禮拜!」師云:「是放行?是把住?」問:「通天徹J36nB357_p0584a19地即不問,拈一放一事如何?」師揮拂云:「輕搖禿麈霞J36nB357_p0584a20滿面。」進云:「秖如到家無別路又作麼生?」師云:「自道去。」J36nB357_p0584a21進云:「獅子窟中獅子;旃檀林內旃檀。」師云:「須珍重始J36nB357_p0584a22得!」乃拈拄杖云:「本有天真,玅絕凡聖,結卻卓然,解開J36nB357_p0584a23無剩。萬別千差,頭頭自應,明明一句沒囊藏,坐斷毗J36nB357_p0584a24盧遊大徑。」卓拄杖,下座。
J36nB357_p0584a25合鎮眾檀信撝金熏禮千佛懺圜滿,請上堂。師拈香J36nB357_p0584a26竟,乃云:「街坊檀信道心濃,懺滿功圜福莫窮,千佛光J36nB357_p0584a27中空罪相,重重瑞色嘯春風。」驀豎拂云:「還識千佛麼?J36nB357_p0584a28儻能未舉先知,山僧直得下座,安敢無事生事?設或J36nB357_p0584a29未然,鼓舌搖脣去也。佛者,神通至玅,蔭天人大器;道J36nB357_p0584a30者,隱顯叵測,育萬物為語。其語盡性命,捨惡趨善、去J36nB357_p0584b01偽歸真,所以道:『一佛不二,千佛奚別?』如處處水現在J36nB357_p0584b02在月,無去無來、不生不滅。若人皈敬者,功利無邊,感J36nB357_p0584b03應符節,如風行空中,霫雨潤群卉,歲豐時和,士民安J36nB357_p0584b04怗,普天下刑措兵寢,十方界兆斯王國。雖然如是,還J36nB357_p0584b05有誠爾心、盡爾性、窮物理、極天命底麼?到這裏,若非J36nB357_p0584b06幹玄機無際、窮實相源底不能趣入。還有趣入者麼?J36nB357_p0584b07有則出來與伊證據;苟或未然,山僧與汝道破!」揮拂J36nB357_p0584b08子云:「五色祥麟步天岸;十影神駒立海涯。」下座。
J36nB357_p0584b09佛誕,興安州君然孟居士請上堂。舉:「釋迦初生,一手J36nB357_p0584b10指天、一手指地,周行七步,目顧四方云:『天上天下,唯J36nB357_p0584b11吾獨尊。』」師云:「世尊只知進前,不能顧後。」拈拄杖卓一J36nB357_p0584b12下云:「雲門大師來也,道:『我當時若見,一棒打殺與狗J36nB357_p0584b13子喫,貴圖天下太平。』老雲門恁麼道,美則美矣!善則J36nB357_p0584b14未善,你諸人作麼生甄別?若甄別得,放行好?把定好?J36nB357_p0584b15放行,挂弊顯玅;把定,深密奚宣?更或躊躇,山僧不免J36nB357_p0584b16為諸人道破!將此深心奉塵剎,是則名為報佛恩。」下J36nB357_p0584b17座。
J36nB357_p0584b18結夏,上堂。「人生易老,壽命幾何?生死現前,將何支準?J36nB357_p0584b19所以道:若不安禪靜慮,到者裡總忙然。」召眾云:「莫慌!J36nB357_p0584b20莫慌!了生脫死有甚麼難?只在自己頓然撒手。今日J36nB357_p0584b21山僧不免擊開關鍵,諸人於中三月安居,一念不促,J36nB357_p0584b22誠堪賀喜,狂妄心息、苦惱熱止,獲勝清涼、證寂滅理。J36nB357_p0584b23雖然如是,箇箇衲僧跳不出,落在綣繢裏。諸禪德!莫J36nB357_p0584b24比擬,且向西來九十日討箇活路,休將玄玅挂脣齒。」
J36nB357_p0584b25端午,上堂。舉:「佛眼和尚云:『今日端午,世間人釘桃符、J36nB357_p0584b26書門閫,使萬邪不窺其戶、百鬼不入其門;世間人又J36nB357_p0584b27使針燒炙、採藥登山,使萬病不干其體、疫癘不入其J36nB357_p0584b28身。』大眾!先德恁麼葛藤,何不向膏肓穴上下一針?我J36nB357_p0584b29恁麼道,且作死馬醫。還會麼?你諸人若不來,山僧無J36nB357_p0584b30可說得;你既上來,不免向你好肉上剜瘡。你還知痛J36nB357_p0584c01癢麼?知得,可謂如飲醍醐,渴心永寂;其或未然……」乃拈J36nB357_p0584c02拄杖,喝一喝云:「有甚掩處?雖然如是,於此門中未出J36nB357_p0584c03見聞,以為戲論。」遂失聲叫云:「阿㖿阿㖿!你諸人剜卻J36nB357_p0584c04一塊肉,為甚麼西來長老受痛?豈不見先德道:『懷州J36nB357_p0584c05牛喫禾,益州馬腹脹,天下覓醫人,炙豬左膊上?』忽有J36nB357_p0584c06箇漢出來道:『和尚又苦作麼?』即向伊道:『無智人前莫J36nB357_p0584c07說,打伊頭破腦裂。』」卓拄杖下座。
J36nB357_p0584c08師誕日,上堂。豎拂召眾云:「於此會得,無生示有生、無J36nB357_p0584c09身現有身,即知四大、五蘊自受用境界蕩然;過、現、未J36nB357_p0584c10來三際平等。如是從上佛祖覓得的捷徑路頭,教人J36nB357_p0584c11身心一如,身外無餘處,壁立千仞。所以道:『諸法不自J36nB357_p0584c12生,亦不從他生,不共不無因,是故說無生。』無生之理,J36nB357_p0584c13佛祖同源,眾生亦爾!如是山僧生不生?既生不生,且J36nB357_p0584c14道今日作麼生折合?」以拂子作▆相云:「兩箇五伯文,J36nB357_p0584c15元來是一貫。」擲拂下座。
J36nB357_p0584c16西密禪德請上堂。拈拄杖,卓一卓云:「一葉落,普天秋;J36nB357_p0584c17一塵起,大地收。片雲鼓太虛、群鴈鳴匝地。西風頓冷、J36nB357_p0584c18野水漸寒,明明顯露、歷歷全彰。」復呈拄杖云:「有眼者J36nB357_p0584c19總見。」卓一下云:「有耳者悉聞。既見既聞,且道佛法在J36nB357_p0584c20甚麼處?」擲下云:「築著額頭磕著鼻。」
J36nB357_p0584c21解夏,上堂。「九夏已過,初秋方新,百期制滿,衲子自恣,J36nB357_p0584c22箇箇頂門眼開、人人隨處見成。便恁麼承當得去,不J36nB357_p0584c23妨一杖清風、一瓢明月,橫行天外,闊步大方;苟或眼J36nB357_p0584c24目未清、路頭未熟,不免明眼相逢難為透脫。直饒通J36nB357_p0584c25方達者,眼光爍破四天下,猶在半途。且不涉途程一J36nB357_p0584c26句作麼生道?撒手到家人不識,更無一物獻尊前。」
J36nB357_p0584c27中秋,上堂。「水中捉月,正好修行;朱砂畫月,正好供養。J36nB357_p0584c28移舟趁月,南泉拂袖便行;掉棒打月,仰山與長沙一J36nB357_p0584c29蹋。直饒這幾箇老凍濃一時遊玩,各露風光,檢點將J36nB357_p0584c30來,盡是猢猻伎倆賣弄光影,殊不知吹糠著米翻成J36nB357_p0585a01特地?雖然,不因一事不長一智,今日被山僧把條斷J36nB357_p0585a02貫,孃生鼻孔一齊穿卻,擲向他方世界,碧霄及爾翳J36nB357_p0585a03絕,陳年珮玦廓清。而今揭露一輪新鮮光彩,輝天鑑J36nB357_p0585a04地、耀古騰今,直得桂魄增輝、驪珠添耀。」遂豎拂子云:J36nB357_p0585a05「大眾看看!照境俱不立,誰分上下池?昔年鷲嶺,徒勞J36nB357_p0585a06話會;當日曹溪,枉用指陳。千差萬別等恢恢,四聖六J36nB357_p0585a07凡一晃晃,豈待娥眉若線而後方明?中不容他,彌滿J36nB357_p0585a08清淨。設或眼目定動,更聽一偈:皎潔蟾蜍無晝夜,十J36nB357_p0585a09分明耀向人舒,堂堂密密何曾間?一道寒光爍太虛。」J36nB357_p0585a10結制,小陂湖廣濟寺澂源禪德請上堂。僧問:「昨夜霜J36nB357_p0585a11風皎更清,今朝杲日照分明,獅威遠布狐蹤絕,臨濟J36nB357_p0585a12宗風耀古今。濟上宗乘即不問,弘開爐鞴事如何?」師J36nB357_p0585a13云:「烈燄堆頭透體涼。」進云:「恁麼水到瀟湘異樣清,月J36nB357_p0585a14朗天心絕點塵。」師云:「蒼蒼庭柏鬱霜凌。」問:「拈起橫遍J36nB357_p0585a15十方;放下了沒蹤跡,秖如不拈不放一著落在甚麼J36nB357_p0585a16處?」師良久云:「會麼?」進云:「不會。」師云:「汝道不會是會了J36nB357_p0585a17不會?是果然不會?」進云:「不會不會!」師云:「儱侗禪和。」便J36nB357_p0585a18打,僧一喝,師復打,乃云:「十方同聚會,三月一結制,爐J36nB357_p0585a19鞴大鉗錘,佛祖急迴避。將長年念死話頭、無繩自縛J36nB357_p0585a20底禪和,妄生測度、認賊為子底衲僧,驅來炖炖烈燄J36nB357_p0585a21中,煆得伊箇箇皮穿骨露,然後蘇醒轉來,即猛省得J36nB357_p0585a22從前一片方圜田地,不妨道盡大地無寸土。到恁麼J36nB357_p0585a23時節,脫體轉身空裏步,方知法法是通衢。于時,若有J36nB357_p0585a24箇作家漢子出來云:『和尚既為臨濟兒孫,必明臨濟J36nB357_p0585a25堂奧大機大用;既明堂奧大機大用,因甚麼今朝結J36nB357_p0585a26制只說門庭邊事?』山僧要問伊:『向甚麼處見臨濟堂J36nB357_p0585a27奧門限?』脫或未知,更為重說偈言:三載西來唱祖機;J36nB357_p0585a28一條拄杖振全威,狸奴白牯腦俱裂,衲子通身喫得J36nB357_p0585a29歸。」遂下座,旋棒打散大眾,歸方丈。
J36nB357_p0585a30臘八,上堂。「祖師門下更無等者,世出世間了無別法,J36nB357_p0585b01若未得拌命一下,不免被萬境惑,妄立凡聖等障。故J36nB357_p0585b02我釋迦世尊於雪山六載,臘月八日忽睹明星,頓破J36nB357_p0585b03空劫無明,即云:『奇哉!一切眾生具有如來智慧德相。』J36nB357_p0585b04可謂箇箇成佛久矣!奈何今人不踐正徑,多入邪途,J36nB357_p0585b05被無明瞞昧過了一生。雖然如是,切忌承當。且看釋J36nB357_p0585b06迦世尊有甚玄玅超人處?後輩謬解,謂佛有成道,檢J36nB357_p0585b07點將來不無拖泥帶水,正眼觀之都是閒名假字。其J36nB357_p0585b08後祇舍諸處、四十九年說法度生,既雪嶺睹星,明得J36nB357_p0585b09大地眾生一時成佛了,又以誰作眾生受度?於此曉J36nB357_p0585b10了,可名無為道人。雖然,猶恐有超凡入聖出格道理J36nB357_p0585b11在,未能脫略。諸人將多生氣力併在一處,極力直造J36nB357_p0585b12到父母未生前故家田地,方稱本懷、方契玄旨。如是,J36nB357_p0585b13佛恩、君恩、親恩、師恩一時頓報,正與麼時,報無能報J36nB357_p0585b14亦無所報者。山僧恁麼告報,未免明眼者哂,今日不J36nB357_p0585b15避檢責,只要諸人自信得及。」良久云:「佛法無你會處。」J36nB357_p0585b16喝一喝,下座。
J36nB357_p0585b17戊戌冬,方伯聚五王護法同眾檀越於小陂湖廣濟J36nB357_p0585b18寺豎佛殿上梁,請上堂。僧問:「古德道:『卓錐地也無。』和J36nB357_p0585b19尚今日向甚麼處說法?」師云:「斬新豎方外乾坤,縱橫J36nB357_p0585b20挂域中日月。」進云:「野老已知堯舜力,好把瑤琴徹底J36nB357_p0585b21彈。」師云:「誰是知音者?」進云:「東風吹閫外,庭際報新梅。」J36nB357_p0585b22師云:「直饒玄會得,也是眼中塵。」僧噓一聲作禮,師云:J36nB357_p0585b23「雪上加霜。」乃卓拄杖云:「擊大法鼓、吹大法蠃、登大法J36nB357_p0585b24壇、演大法義。廣濟乃智者大師舊隱,今日山僧暫借J36nB357_p0585b25陞陟,良以深愧志素非才,明眼人前,提持祖令,此法J36nB357_p0585b26印不從人得。若正令提綱,佛祖蹤泯,放過一著,聖凡J36nB357_p0585b27交集。所以道:『斯事不可有心求、不可無心得、不可語J36nB357_p0585b28言造、不可寂默通。』蕩蕩目前,森羅頓現;昭昭日用,彼J36nB357_p0585b29此無分。非文字相,絕見聞緣,直下截斷眾流,不留眹J36nB357_p0585b30跡。是日人天集會,法以遇時,略建化門中,普示大眾!」J36nB357_p0585c01顧左右云:「諸公見麼?若恁麼承當,能入一乘閫域、蹈J36nB357_p0585c02向上玄關,坐微塵裏轉大法輪,於一毛端現寶王剎。J36nB357_p0585c03茲者澂源禪德於此統理大檀越,揮金鼎新大寶殿,J36nB357_p0585c04一木支大廈之室、一柱回千江之流,於時只要紳衿J36nB357_p0585c05眾善,莫忘靈山記莂、永作佛法金湯,正眼圜明,重光J36nB357_p0585c06祖印。諸公還見此間公輸子麼?」以拂子招眾云:「起!」遂J36nB357_p0585c07上梁。
J36nB357_p0585c08臘八,上堂。「十方普照,坐斷乾坤,大地絕塵,誰人舉目?J36nB357_p0585c09昔日釋迦聖主,正覺山中折本。睹明星、開正眼,也是J36nB357_p0585c10徐六擔版。若真正道流,豈捨長從短?西來門下還有J36nB357_p0585c11具眼衲僧麼?」驀豎拂子云:「我法玅難量,非思議分別J36nB357_p0585c12能解,若擬分別卜度,即落眾生境界。只如不思量分J36nB357_p0585c13別,又是箇甚麼?」良久,擲拂子,下座。
J36nB357_p0585c14立春,上堂。僧問:「雲散家家月,春來處處華,春魁獨占J36nB357_p0585c15即不問,牛過窗櫺事如何?」師云:「五九盡時春體露,千J36nB357_p0585c16林亂吐象先華。」進云:「一身頭角都過了,因甚麼尾巴J36nB357_p0585c17過不得?」師展手云:「只為在山僧手裏。」僧一喝,師便打,J36nB357_p0585c18僧作禮歸位。問:「死了燒了,風吹灰散,向何處安身立J36nB357_p0585c19命?」師云:「十方世界覓無蹤。」僧禮拜,師打云:「元來在者J36nB357_p0585c20裏。」乃云:「正逢五九今朝盡,溢目風光鼓劫外,寒谷春J36nB357_p0585c21回、嶺梅爭馤,所以時節到來,因緣合會,那堪意下摶J36nB357_p0585c22量,不用心中模楷?隄楊金眼醒,野水鴨綠濊,光彩廓J36nB357_p0585c23清兩曜明,春風影裏乾坤大。」卓拄杖,下座。
小參
J36nB357_p0585c25師受宗旨,歸院小參。拈起源流示眾云:「會麼?曹溪旨、J36nB357_p0585c26臨濟宗、黃龍法總在裏許,且道以何憑據?」乃展兩手J36nB357_p0585c27云:「我見燈明佛,本光瑞如此。」眾作禮,師歸方丈。
J36nB357_p0585c28小參。舉拂云:「大眾看看!諸法蕩然,奚拘奚絆?汝於是J36nB357_p0585c29中自生易難。心源大統,彌亙十方,上上機人自然曉J36nB357_p0585c30了。不見南泉和尚道:『如斯癡鈍,世且還稀,歷歷分明,J36nB357_p0586a01有無不是,只欠個丈夫志氣,致織妄枉受疲苦。』汝欲J36nB357_p0586a02得易會麼?從曠大劫來,無伊呈伎倆處、無伊擬解會J36nB357_p0586a03處,無箇聖人凡夫出現汝前、無句善言惡語到汝分J36nB357_p0586a04上。何以故?覓善善無形、覓惡惡非相,既本無我,喚甚J36nB357_p0586a05麼為善為惡?立那箇乃聖乃凡?諸公信得及麼?還保J36nB357_p0586a06任得麼?有甚麼迴避處?恰如日中避影,還避得麼?還J36nB357_p0586a07隱諱得麼?今之古之,今古同時,佛法玄旨唯契證知,J36nB357_p0586a08勿兢小緣礙於大事,汝不見教中道:『唯此一事實,餘J36nB357_p0586a09二則非真?』吾今為汝保任斯事,終不虛也。敢問諸人:J36nB357_p0586a10如何是不虛的事?還會麼?各歸衣缽下看!」
J36nB357_p0586a11小參。「大凡參學人,須具自家眼、識得自己心,心眼明J36nB357_p0586a12了、腳跟點地,將心相示,方可諦當。若認奴作郎,把揚J36nB357_p0586a13眉瞬目、一語一默印與人為心要者,此實未了。吾今J36nB357_p0586a14與諸人分曉說出,各各聽受,但除一切妄想現量、思J36nB357_p0586a15惟舉止即真汝心,此心與靜慮塵境、攀緣計度全無J36nB357_p0586a16交涉,即心是佛,不假修證。何以故?應用隨照,覓用處J36nB357_p0586a17了不可得,乃是本心,善自護持。」
J36nB357_p0586a18結制,小參。「開第二門,三月結制,於此高挂缽囊、放下J36nB357_p0586a19袱子,都教洞明劫外風光、徹見本來面目。山僧與麼J36nB357_p0586a20道,正是陷人阬塹,埋沒仁者。何故?不見道:『覿面分付,J36nB357_p0586a21尚涉廉纖;直下承當,猶存情識?』所以道:『道人行處,如J36nB357_p0586a22火消冰,箭既離絃,無反回勢。』那有許多之遶?直得盡J36nB357_p0586a23乾坤大地無纖毫過患尤是轉句,不見一色始為半J36nB357_p0586a24提,更須知有全提時節。若欲做個透頂透底、脫灑的J36nB357_p0586a25漢子,雖是恁麼一回,可以往復三界、獨步十方。」驀拈J36nB357_p0586a26拄杖云:「便如西來拄杖子,𨁝跳上三十三天,𡎺著帝J36nB357_p0586a27釋鼻孔,東海鯉魚打一棒,雨似盆傾。若也恁麼峭峭J36nB357_p0586a28巍巍、活活卓卓,運用通身手眼,不落見聞知覺,包括J36nB357_p0586a29天地、籠絡古今,舉必全真,縱橫歷落,撒手懸崖,便是J36nB357_p0586a30到家消息。直是西來要問伊:如何是到家消息?脫或J36nB357_p0586b01未委,更副一頌:東西南北沒邊疆,遍覆三千舌廣長,J36nB357_p0586b02轉地回天聲落落,騰今耀古歷蒼蒼。兩輪日月通霄J36nB357_p0586b03漢,八極風雲透座涼,過得祖師關鍵客,不妨於此徜J36nB357_p0586b04徉彰。」
J36nB357_p0586b05至節小參。「群陰剝盡,大心無依;一氣潛回,大化無跡。J36nB357_p0586b06洞山掇退果桌,大巧無作;魯公臺上書雲,大任無力。J36nB357_p0586b07慈明揭牓僧堂,萬法全彰;漢女宮中測日,一毫不露。J36nB357_p0586b08今日秀上座將世法、佛法打成一片,喚眾生作諸佛,J36nB357_p0586b09體亦何殊;喚諸佛作眾生,理未曾失。冷地裏忽有個J36nB357_p0586b10漢出來道:『眾生自眾生、諸佛自諸佛,何得混濫聖凡,J36nB357_p0586b11令他釋迦、彌勒受屈?』只向他道:『你等諸人,無始妄流J36nB357_p0586b12轉,莫不由此執,定性凡夫聖所呵,千手大悲推不出。』J36nB357_p0586b13然領會在人不在法。何也?法無必固,須是恁麼人便J36nB357_p0586b14說恁麼話。祇如古德道:『向上一路,千聖不傳;頂𩕳一J36nB357_p0586b15機,萬靈罔測。』意作麼生?諸人還自擔荷得麼?若未擔J36nB357_p0586b16荷,山僧更為傍通一線。」以拂子空中劃一劃云:「汝諸J36nB357_p0586b17人還見空中寫兩行梵字麼?若見,何名虛空;若不見,J36nB357_p0586b18當面蹉過。所以道:『一動一靜,未曾有纖毫異相,更無J36nB357_p0586b19絲髮許作見聞心識解會。』諸仁!這裏見得便見得。昔J36nB357_p0586b20日五祖演和尚示眾云:『將四大海水為一枚硯,須彌J36nB357_p0586b21山作一管筆,有人向虛空中寫得「祖師西來意」五字,J36nB357_p0586b22太平下座大展具,禮拜為師;若寫不得,佛法無靈驗。J36nB357_p0586b23有麼?有麼?』便下座。還知演祖落處麼?若知,即知西來J36nB357_p0586b24落處;亦知萬木凋殘處,常住不遷義;亦知諸佛寂滅J36nB357_p0586b25性,都在眾生心行中。祇如眾生心行中,心心煩惱、念J36nB357_p0586b26念無明,作麼生識得諸佛寂滅性?祇如暑往寒來、陰J36nB357_p0586b27退陽生,又作麼生明得常住不遷義?果於其中明辯J36nB357_p0586b28得分曉,說甚麼動靜去來,豈妨湛寂?」拈拂子擊禪床,J36nB357_p0586b29乃擲下云:「便如秀上座拂子相似,拈不自拈,依義而J36nB357_p0586b30拈;擊不自擊,依義而擊;擲不自擲,依義而擲。諦觀此J36nB357_p0586c01義,峭巍巍、活卓卓,橫亙十方、豎窮三際,拈時非拈、擊J36nB357_p0586c02時非擊、擲時非擲。如是了知,洞然無礙。報知音,瞥不J36nB357_p0586c03瞥?泥牛吼處天關轉;木馬嘶時地軸回,晷運推遷日J36nB357_p0586c04線長。且道佛法長多少?」良久云:「九九八十一。」喝一喝!
J36nB357_p0586c05除夕,小參。「即今臘月三十晚,若是明眼高流,不在鑽J36nB357_p0586c06龜打瓦;若是棒頭取證、喝下承當者,千里萬里。若論J36nB357_p0586c07斯事,直下無私,輝騰今古,不離當處,那涉舊歲新年,J36nB357_p0586c08吐新納故?直得萬機休罷、一念融會,說甚麼此際正J36nB357_p0586c09在舊歲欲去未去之時、新年欲來未來之候?說甚麼J36nB357_p0586c10世間富貴貧窮戶戶不同?說甚麼憂愁喜樂家家各J36nB357_p0586c11別?然雖如是,若是道業荒蕪未透祖關者,只知事逐J36nB357_p0586c12眼前過,不覺老從頭上來。時光易邁,歲月虛消,入息J36nB357_p0586c13雖存、出息不保,今夜直須剔起眉毛仔細看,不可作J36nB357_p0586c14尋常放過。而今緇素濟濟,面面相覷,且道祇圖箇甚J36nB357_p0586c15麼?」良久,呵呵大笑云:「兄弟們若尚留觀聽,山僧未免J36nB357_p0586c16相席打之遶。西來者裏,聚千聖於同堂,不受纖塵;會J36nB357_p0586c17十方於一室,那隔寸步?超佛祖於一時,至簡至易;鎔J36nB357_p0586c18今古於一刻,最玅最神。雖然,隨家豐儉,不可將無作J36nB357_p0586c19有,也要應箇時節。」拈拄杖云:「諸兄弟!若信得去,不妨J36nB357_p0586c20省力,可謂十世古今,始終不離於當念;無邊剎境,自J36nB357_p0586c21他不隔於毫端。赤灑灑全露、淨裸裸無遺,可以使十J36nB357_p0586c22二時。不特使十二時,亦乃逆推甲子,便能反年頭、作J36nB357_p0586c23歲尾,當日午、打三更,延一念為三祇不長,促三祇為J36nB357_p0586c24一念不短。到此田地,莫道閻羅大王那裏算飯錢,縱J36nB357_p0586c25饒釋迦聖主,何處摸巴鼻?還會麼?謬加穿鑿傍觀笑,J36nB357_p0586c26收起葛藤任貶剝。」拽拄杖,歸方丈。
J36nB357_p0586c27立宗上人領江右周祥卿、彭秀卿、嚴文盛三善士請J36nB357_p0586c28小參。僧問:「龐居士一家悟道,悟箇甚麼?」師便打,僧擬J36nB357_p0586c29進語,師以杖擉退。問:「法王座上饒紅舌,拽動諸人鼻J36nB357_p0586c30孔徹,獅子吼,獸腦裂,各各具眼看,親切聲未絕。」師云:J36nB357_p0587a01「且道節目即今落在甚麼處?」進云:「謝師指示。」師打云:J36nB357_p0587a02「喫棒有分。」問:「三世諸佛從此出,歷代祖師從此入,未J36nB357_p0587a03審出入事如何?」師云:「朝到西天、暮歸東土。」有僧出,師J36nB357_p0587a04不顧,乃云:「萬法歸一,不撥一塵;一歸何處,不立一境。J36nB357_p0587a05秤錘上拶出汁,枯骨裏敲出髓,無些子藉,慣賣弄觜。J36nB357_p0587a06臨濟用金剛王,望影猶難;德山遣木上座,追蹤莫及。J36nB357_p0587a07所以道:『黃面漢四十九年有手,只好拿空;白拈賊千J36nB357_p0587a08七百箇有口,惟堪挂壁。』只為大地眾生太不惺惺,所J36nB357_p0587a09以舌頭瀾翻,平地波起,手裏指東畫西、口中說黃道J36nB357_p0587a10青,一著全提,纖毫不露。趙州柏樹子無根,虛空有骨;J36nB357_p0587a11雲門乾屎橛臭氣,潑天難聞。狗子無佛性,一點心如J36nB357_p0587a12黑漆;父母未生前面目,夜夜天上星亂灑。不是心、不J36nB357_p0587a13是佛、不是物,眼睛難見耳難聽;麻三斤,提頭拽不起,J36nB357_p0587a14放下卒難收。金剛圈,至小難跳,一跳跳過;栗棘蓬,有J36nB357_p0587a15刺難吞,一吞吞下。鐵缽盛貓飯,一頓忘累饑。西來村J36nB357_p0587a16叟昔曾效顰,也作這般伎倆,不是等閒誑嚇,平生所J36nB357_p0587a17參得底,直要涅槃堂裏用。且道作麼生是這般伎倆?J36nB357_p0587a18咦!恁麼一回,方知道世間死不得的活人以活法死J36nB357_p0587a19之;世間活不得底死漢以死法活之。吾不欺也。」遂擊J36nB357_p0587a20拂子云:「還會麼?」良久云:「知音者少這些子,要在直下J36nB357_p0587a21承當,負之而趨,千聖羅籠不住、十方呼喚不回,有恁J36nB357_p0587a22麼衲僧纔可到此烹佛煉祖之場、紅爐大冶之內,一J36nB357_p0587a23一與你拔楔抽釘、解黏去縛,做箇脫灑丈夫;其或未J36nB357_p0587a24透脫,一路從上披枷帶鎖、擎頭戴角,老古錐折本消J36nB357_p0587a25息,九旬日內使現前眾兄弟打辦精神,不可左商右J36nB357_p0587a26量、東覷西覷,擔閣時光。應是從前學解,凡聖疑情一J36nB357_p0587a27時掃卻,向一念未起之先猛然省得,渾身擔荷,豈不J36nB357_p0587a28慶快平生?若是半疑半信、取捨未忘,究竟奈何伊不J36nB357_p0587a29得;縱有一箇半箇相似做得去,翻去依他樣子簸弄J36nB357_p0587a30識塵,不肯全身信入。今日眾居士撝金遠詣當山設J36nB357_p0587b01齋,山僧因齋慶讚多方委示,便是沒羞恥,有甚落魄。J36nB357_p0587b02雖然,也與作軌格。參!」
J36nB357_p0587b03重陽,小參。僧問:「如何是奪人不奪境?」師云:「遍界露形J36nB357_p0587b04容,昂藏絕眹跡。」進云:「如何是奪境不奪人?」師云:「寂歷J36nB357_p0587b05無蓋藏,直教眼睛枯。」進云:「如何是人境兩俱奪?」師云:J36nB357_p0587b06「行不出戶、坐不當堂。」進云:「如何是人境俱不奪?」師云:J36nB357_p0587b07「驪珠閃爍,光射衣裓。」進云:「謝師答話!」師云:「無毛鐵鷂J36nB357_p0587b08過新羅。」乃云:「纔過中秋,又逢重陽,炎涼倏改,時節不J36nB357_p0587b09饒。心不是佛,風生大野;智不是道,菊綻庭前。華曾無J36nB357_p0587b10媚人之心,風豈有振人之意?夫出家兒具大知見,心J36nB357_p0587b11不附物,所以道:『真實明達,能與諸佛同徹,寂照忘知,J36nB357_p0587b12虛含萬象。』如今無一處不是汝、無一處不分明、無一J36nB357_p0587b13處不露現,若非到者箇田地,爭免諸般滲漏?何所謂J36nB357_p0587b14心違境逆、情暢物舒?若有箇兄弟向者裏揭開夢眼、J36nB357_p0587b15獨露當前,便見十方無壁落、四面亦無門,露裸裸、赤J36nB357_p0587b16灑灑,沒可把,逍逍遙遙、騰騰運運,也只成得箇了事J36nB357_p0587b17道人。若到衲僧門下,千聖立下風,誰敢出頭道?且道J36nB357_p0587b18衲僧據箇甚麼道理便乃如是?」良久,喝一喝云:「千手J36nB357_p0587b19拽不住。」
J36nB357_p0587b20為武昌太守劉公護法筠菴居士對靈小參。拈香云:J36nB357_p0587b21「以此玅香特薦尊靈,現宰官身、勤勞王事,學博才優、J36nB357_p0587b22沛德施仁。金湯法苑,濟宗鳳麟,滿衙芝蘭,孕秀靄著,J36nB357_p0587b23聲名唱傳,唯公以之。萬民仰戴,正宜榮耀百年富貴,J36nB357_p0587b24何期終不惑四齡。蹋翻生死路、端坐涅槃城,覺功名J36nB357_p0587b25幻、識富貴空。千倉萬頃,世上資糧,積玉堆金,兒孫活J36nB357_p0587b26計。幸佛慈悲,垂手接引,極樂淨邦瞻彌陀玅相,率陀J36nB357_p0587b27內院參慈氏真容,三千銀世界任意逍遙,十二玉樓J36nB357_p0587b28臺隨心自在。雖然如是,此由化門,未是到家。且作麼J36nB357_p0587b29生道到家句聻?佛國天堂休措足,腳跟一步即真宗。」J36nB357_p0587b30安陸府城太音庵印文耆宿集各剎耆德,結普同塔J36nB357_p0587c01社,弟子慈筏、繼燄、月幢、穎石、月修同眾禪德,恭送得J36nB357_p0587c02戒本師一真法主靈骨到普門寺入塔,請對龕小參。J36nB357_p0587c03「佛教未易墜,五十二春秋以來,作教中龍爪、劃五天J36nB357_p0587c04雲影;為法中義虎,吞三藏雄文。垂手入廛,接物利生,J36nB357_p0587c05開講肆、弘毘尼,孰不稱奇歎美?非唯今少,於古亦稀,J36nB357_p0587c06可謂千秋傑士、一代法主也。佛教失所望,五十二春J36nB357_p0587c07秋而云歸。來耶、去耶?果離合,非智眼而莫睹;祖意、教J36nB357_p0587c08意,果同異,獨神心而了知。當時恁麼來,未曾來;如今J36nB357_p0587c09恁麼去,未曾去。公於真常不動之際,而又安得有生J36nB357_p0587c10乎?死乎?然則如是,公必以我說為然也。且道一公本J36nB357_p0587c11來面目在何處?還委悉麼?直是世界生佛未形未具J36nB357_p0587c12已前,眉目十分顯露。還有人於此識得去,堪與大師J36nB357_p0587c13把手同行,不於意地中度量;設或未然,山僧不免將J36nB357_p0587c14錯就錯,隨例顛倒。」遂以杖指龕云:「若道這箇是,則有J36nB357_p0587c15兩箇了也;若道這箇不是,則又蹉過了也。畢竟如何?J36nB357_p0587c16不蹉過,沒兩箇,面目本來無向背,明明遍界不曾藏。」
J36nB357_p0587c17薦忠宇葉居士,法名照意,對靈小參。「世間最苦唯生J36nB357_p0587c18死,是箇縵天底網子,盡大地裏賢愚人,被伊籠罩莫J36nB357_p0587c19可逃,獨有大丈夫漢,直下翻身透脫。忠宇葉公生緣J36nB357_p0587c20本地,自幼好善,長素念佛。山僧往歲乙未據淨土丈J36nB357_p0587c21室,公捐檀財,仍誘眾姓建百二十日禪期,弘揚大法、J36nB357_p0587c22傳授毗尼,公遂爾圜具。丁酉歲,山僧遷豐鎮西來祖J36nB357_p0587c23剎,公不惜身命,出己財,傾心護持十有五載。山門不J36nB357_p0587c24幸,歾此股肱,眷戀相關,不勝涕泗。今則報緣謝盡,長J36nB357_p0587c25揖人間,然既告寂,夫復何云?雖然,還明得金剛正體J36nB357_p0587c26麼?汝等諸人向甚麼處相見?若也見得,塵塵爾、剎剎J36nB357_p0587c27爾,突出無位真人、發明現成面目,直得上不見天,下J36nB357_p0587c28不見地,中不見聖人、凡夫、萬象森羅,內不見眼、耳、鼻、J36nB357_p0587c29舌、身、意,外不見色、聲、香、味、觸、法,說甚洞達承當?設使J36nB357_p0587c30三世諸佛、歷代列祖,各各箇裏不資一毫。所以道:『正J36nB357_p0588a01體獨露,萬象無所覆。』敢問諸人,忠宇葉公即今在甚J36nB357_p0588a02麼處?還委悉麼?正體無生無住處,如如處處是全身。」J36nB357_p0588a03以拄杖卓一卓!
J36nB357_p0588a04薦葉門善女余氏,法名常照,對靈小參。師舉拂云:「此J36nB357_p0588a05一機,天不能蓋、地不能載,游四生不能絯、歷生死不J36nB357_p0588a06能礙,風雨不能隤、水火不能壞,佛祖覷之無路、鬼神J36nB357_p0588a07度之難猜,淨裸裸、赤灑灑,寸絲不挂。所以道:『目前無J36nB357_p0588a08法,森羅萬象眼中塵;脫體無依,無影樹頭消息斷。截J36nB357_p0588a09斷聖凡情解、剿除惡見稠林,世出世頭無向背,人間J36nB357_p0588a10天上絕羅籠。』如斯見得,覓聖凡亦不可得、迷悟亦不J36nB357_p0588a11可得、生死亦不可得、去來亦不可得。既是去來、生死、J36nB357_p0588a12迷悟、聖凡了不可得者,所在無邊剎境自他不隔於J36nB357_p0588a13毫端,十世古今始終不離於當念。示一毫端現大千J36nB357_p0588a14沙界,擲大千沙界于一毫端。大中現小、小中現大,翻J36nB357_p0588a15濁處為淨域,易短壽作長年。生死為游戲、三界作旅J36nB357_p0588a16亭,從來徹古今,一一非分外。今日山僧于靈柩前……」復J36nB357_p0588a17舉拂云:「無非舉揚此一機,追悼余氏老孺人,直下諦J36nB357_p0588a18明此一機,以見昔日生本非生,全體恁麼來;今日死J36nB357_p0588a19本非死,全體恁麼去。且道伊歸何處?夢斷人間幻化J36nB357_p0588a20機,神游天上真常地。」
示眾
J36nB357_p0588a22示眾。「今朝七月一,北斗面南看,大智得大用、大人具J36nB357_p0588a23大見。高高無上深無際,文彩已彰錦簇攢。」揮拂云:「大J36nB357_p0588a24眾看看聻?」復舉:「三聖云:『我逢人即出,出即不為人。』興J36nB357_p0588a25化云:『我逢人即不出,出即便為人。』」師云:「兩箇漢間出,J36nB357_p0588a26並列提持。一人高提祖印,獨耀寰中;一人大啟洪爐,J36nB357_p0588a27烹凡煆聖。各出隻手,發明臨濟正法眼藏。好則好,未J36nB357_p0588a28免二俱失利,殊不知臨濟一宗掃土而盡。且道利害J36nB357_p0588a29在什麼處?具眼者辯取。還委悉麼?」擲拂子云:「金鏃慣J36nB357_p0588a30調曾百戰,鐵鞭多力恨無讎。」
J36nB357_p0588b01因雪示眾。「長空酣戰玉龍陣,潑地潑天呈似人,一色J36nB357_p0588b02渾然銀世界,箇中何處不超倫?」
J36nB357_p0588b03示眾。「佛祖出興於世,無法與人,只要一切眾生自見J36nB357_p0588b04本性。本性自見,則知一切法即自心性,成就法身不J36nB357_p0588b05由他得。所以從上佛祖不令人泥著文字,只求休歇J36nB357_p0588b06者何?祇教伊明自心、見自性,至於德山入門便棒、臨J36nB357_p0588b07濟入門便喝,已探頭太過,何更立言語?且如諸公坐J36nB357_p0588b08立儼然,歷歷聽法,無形段底一著子還薦得麼?若也J36nB357_p0588b09薦得,與佛祖把手共行;如或未薦,自是渠儂甘為下J36nB357_p0588b10劣。今既至寶山,不可空手而還。還委悉麼?須是獲寶J36nB357_p0588b11者,便好向伊道:『禍不單行、福不重受。』」
J36nB357_p0588b12楊紫雲、甯開之率眾善士請示眾。「此箇色身,四大假J36nB357_p0588b13攢,聊憑一氣,呼吸無賴。二六時中,妄逐聲色、強安名J36nB357_p0588b14姓,不思年華長短、旦夕安危,命若殘燈,期約不定,從J36nB357_p0588b15昔至今,生死海中頭出頭沒,甘受淪溺,不求出離。是J36nB357_p0588b16故至聖悲心不已出現於世,罔倦長舌譬喻言辭,種J36nB357_p0588b17種方便說法開示,辭宏如海涌波騰、理貫似珠回玉J36nB357_p0588b18轉,欲令眾生悟佛知見,豈徒然哉?惡業沉迷者難遭,J36nB357_p0588b19善根深厚的易值。今日眾居士知身是幻,奉戒持齋,J36nB357_p0588b20從教攝心有進、禮念無虧。攝心有進功成就,禮念無J36nB357_p0588b21虧德漸優。功就德優、水澂珠現,此際慎勿作容易,宜J36nB357_p0588b22生難遇想。山僧斯說未圜,更為葛藤一上。真如界內J36nB357_p0588b23本絕凡聖之蹤,平等場中原無迷悟之跡,更討甚麼J36nB357_p0588b24地水火風、六根六塵、色聲味觸、生死去來?都盧是箇J36nB357_p0588b25真實正體,了無異相,箇裏還有人當處解脫,直捷承J36nB357_p0588b26當底麼?若承當得,迥絕知見,更無覆藏。如今活鱍鱍、J36nB357_p0588b27淨裸裸、孤迥迥、峭巍巍,廉纖不涉,一切截斷。當恁麼J36nB357_p0588b28時,裂轉上頭關捩子,眼聲耳色不思議;設或躊躇,抖J36nB357_p0588b29擻精神期早悟,莫教辜負兩莖眉。」
普說
J36nB357_p0588c01普說。舉:「古德云:『衲僧是通變道人,若遇鑊湯鑪炭諸J36nB357_p0588c02般厄難,又如何免得?若是免不得,何名通變道人?作J36nB357_p0588c03麼生是透脫諸般厄難底句?』」師云:「諸禪德!鑊湯無冷J36nB357_p0588c04處,眾苦不能到,措意者則差。若人鑑辯透脫得,許伊J36nB357_p0588c05出得陰界。莫有透脫者,試對眾道看!山僧為你證據,J36nB357_p0588c06抑且不辜負古人。若透不得,決欲臘月三十日,四大J36nB357_p0588c07分散時,要得這著有下落,無有是處。到此,諸人自不J36nB357_p0588c08本分,以有所得心求無所得法,與麼又爭得?云何是J36nB357_p0588c09有所得心?靈利聰明、心思意想、度量計較底是;云何J36nB357_p0588c10是無所得心?度量計較不到、心思意想不及、靈利聰J36nB357_p0588c11明無處安著底是!箇裏皎然如白日青天,不動不變、J36nB357_p0588c12無增無減,當人應緣日用處,物物頭頭明顯,取之捨J36nB357_p0588c13之蕩蕩無礙,如水上葫蘆拘他不得。豈不見釋迦世J36nB357_p0588c14尊在法華會上盡力只道箇『是法非思量分別之所J36nB357_p0588c15能解』。此是釋迦老子開方便、顯實相之包括也。誌公J36nB357_p0588c16和尚云:『內外追尋覓總無,境上施為渾大有。』昔雪峰J36nB357_p0588c17存禪師亦為此事不明,三登投子、九到洞山,尚機緣J36nB357_p0588c18不契。後參德山鑒禪師,造室中問:『從上宗風以何法J36nB357_p0588c19示人?』德山云:『我宗無語句,亦無一法與人。』後又問:『從J36nB357_p0588c20上宗乘中事,學人還有分也無?』德山拈拄杖打云:『道J36nB357_p0588c21甚麼?』雪峰於時撞破漆桶。諸禪德!以此諦觀,計較心J36nB357_p0588c22思,靈利聰明,此箇門中一點也用不著。所以云:『般若J36nB357_p0588c23如大火聚,近之則燎卻面門。』擬思躊躇,便落意識。者J36nB357_p0588c24裏唯證者方知;若未證者,直須證取,方名真正出家J36nB357_p0588c25兒。若心不正,心外取證,是名出家外道,不堪為種草。J36nB357_p0588c26永嘉大師云:『損法財、滅功德,莫不由此心意識。』是故J36nB357_p0588c27心意識乃障道業,亦使人七顛八倒,儘在外邊走,為J36nB357_p0588c28諸不善。䜋則還源達本,不逐其末,但得本,其末自至。J36nB357_p0588c29眾禪德!既有窮究此道之心,誠欲立堅固志,挺身勇J36nB357_p0588c30猛直前,不至大休、大歇、大解脫處誓不退墮。驀然向J36nB357_p0589a01心思意解計較不及處,見徹父母未生面孔,即是伊J36nB357_p0589a02脫生死放身命處也。久立,珍重!」
