天童宏智覺禪師語錄序
J32nB272_p0181a02洞上宗風,自同安兩世至芙蓉、長蘆,卓然今古。天童J32nB272_p0181a03宏智禪師與大慧杲、真歇了同時。智住天童、慧住育J32nB272_p0181a04王,其唱酬入滅事頗著神異。紹興迄今殆數百年,語J32nB272_p0181a05句散亡罕睹全錄,晴雲法兄於他家雜見者,廣為搜J32nB272_p0181a06緝,勒成一卷。昔靈山法藏傳彼貝多,韶陽語句得自J32nB272_p0181a07衣裓,此皆目擊口宣借書在手。晴兄嘿契古人,探微J32nB272_p0181a08集逸,能使太白山巔自開生面,固知金鍼玉線迥異J32nB272_p0181a09尋常,陽燧取日、方諸印月也。洞山宗旨持以問之,此J32nB272_p0181a10集功位宛然新豐尚在矣!

J32nB272_p0181c04上堂:「黃閣簾垂,誰傳家信?紫羅帳合,暗撒真珠。正恁J32nB272_p0181c05麼時,視聽有所不到,言詮有所不及,如何通得箇消J32nB272_p0181c06息去?夢回夜色依俙曉,笑指家風爛熳春。」
J32nB272_p0181c07上堂,舉:「《參同契》云:『回互不回互。』僧問雲門:『如何是回J32nB272_p0181c08互?』門指板頭云:『不可喚作板頭。』僧云:『如何是不回互?』J32nB272_p0181c09門云:『者箇是板頭。』」師云:「石頭舌頭無骨,雲門眼裏有J32nB272_p0181c10筋,千古之下聲光赫奕。如今要把手共行,直須恁麼J32nB272_p0181c11始解不恁麼,然後沒交涉。還相委悉麼?少年曾決龍J32nB272_p0181c12蛇陣,潦倒還聽稚子歌。」
J32nB272_p0181c13上堂:「心不能緣,口不能議,直饒退步荷擔,切忌當頭J32nB272_p0181c14觸諱。風月寒清古渡頭,夜船撥轉琉璃地。」
J32nB272_p0181c15上堂,舉:「白水垂語云:『眼裏著沙不得,耳裏著水不得。』J32nB272_p0181c16僧便問:『如何是眼裏著沙不得?』水云:『應真無比。』僧云:J32nB272_p0181c17『如何是耳裏著水不得?』水云:『白淨無垢。』」師云:「白水老J32nB272_p0181c18人可謂大而無外、小而無內,具足千變萬化,秖箇赤J32nB272_p0181c19手空身;不受一滴塵,直是滿眼滿耳。還見麼?立足無J32nB272_p0181c20閑地,知心有幾人?」
J32nB272_p0181c21上堂,舉:「金峰示眾云:『事存函蓋合,理應箭鋒拄。若人J32nB272_p0181c22道得,金峰分半院與他住。』時有僧出禮拜,峰云:『休!休!J32nB272_p0181c23相見易得好,共住難為人。』」師云:「重賞之下,必有勇夫。J32nB272_p0181c24者僧擬乎強取,金峰又卻不甘。還知蚌鷸相持,盡落J32nB272_p0181c25漁人之手?若也辯得函蓋箭鋒,金峰一院兩手分付。」
J32nB272_p0181c26上堂,舉:「僧問曹山:『子歸就父,為什麼父全不顧?』山云:J32nB272_p0181c27『理合如斯。』僧云:『父子之恩何在?』山云:『始成父子之恩。』J32nB272_p0181c28僧云:『如何是父子之恩?』山云:『刀斧斫不開。』」師云:「翡翠J32nB272_p0181c29簾垂,絲綸未降,紫羅帳合,視聽難通。犯動毫頭,月昇J32nB272_p0181c30夜戶,密移一步,鶴出銀籠。還知麼?脫身一色無遺影,J32nB272_p0182a01不坐同風落大功。」
J32nB272_p0182a02上堂:「今日是釋迦老子降誕之辰,長蘆不解說禪,與J32nB272_p0182a03諸人畫箇樣子。祇如在摩耶胎時作麼生?」以拂子畫J32nB272_p0182a04此⊙相,曰:「秖如以清淨水浴金色身時又作麼生?」復J32nB272_p0182a05畫此[○@水]相,曰:「秖如周行七步目顧四方,指天指地成J32nB272_p0182a06道說法,神通變化智慧辯才,四十九年三百餘會,說J32nB272_p0182a07青道黃指東畫西,入般涅槃時又作麼生?」乃畫此⊕J32nB272_p0182a08相,復曰:「若是具眼衲僧必也相許;其或未然,一一歷J32nB272_p0182a09過始得。」
J32nB272_p0182a10上堂,舉:「僧問雲門:『不起一念,還有過也無?』門云:『須彌J32nB272_p0182a11山。』」師云:「不起一念,向道須彌,舌頭一臠肉,口唇兩片J32nB272_p0182a12皮。雲門機用妙如許,不落是非知不知?」
J32nB272_p0182a13上堂,舉:「風穴垂語云:『若立一塵,家國興盛;不立一塵,J32nB272_p0182a14家國喪亡。』」師云:「還有同生同死底衲僧麼?復頌云:『幾J32nB272_p0182a15許歡心幾許愁,好看野老兩眉頭,家邦平貼清如鏡,J32nB272_p0182a16水瘦山空一樣秋。』」
J32nB272_p0182a17上堂,舉:「鏡清問靈雲:『混沌未分時如何?』雲云:『露柱懷J32nB272_p0182a18胎。』清云:『分後如何?』雲云:『如片雲點太清。』清云:『秖如太J32nB272_p0182a19清還受點也無?』雲不對。清云:『恁麼則含生不來也。』雲J32nB272_p0182a20亦不對。清云:『直得純清絕點時如何?』雲云:『猶是真常J32nB272_p0182a21流注。』清云:『如何是真常流注?』雲云:『如鏡常明。』清云:『向J32nB272_p0182a22上更有事不?』雲云:『有。』清云:『如何是向上事?』雲曰:『打破J32nB272_p0182a23鏡來,與子相見。』」師云:「分與未分,玉機夜動;點與不點,J32nB272_p0182a24金梭暗拋。直是一色純清,未得十成安穩。且道打破J32nB272_p0182a25鏡來向什麼處相見?還會麼?清秋老兔吞光後,湛水J32nB272_p0182a26蒼龍蛻骨時。」
J32nB272_p0182a27上堂,舉:「石鞏上堂,乃張弓架箭,三平擘開胸當之。鞏J32nB272_p0182a28云:『一張弓、兩隻箭,秖射得半箇聖人。』」師云:「石鞏習氣J32nB272_p0182a29不除,三平相席打令,卻云:『三十年,一張弓兩隻箭,秖J32nB272_p0182a30射得半箇聖人。』豈不是以己方人?大都不入驚人浪,J32nB272_p0182b01到了難尋稱意魚。」
J32nB272_p0182b02上堂:「空劫有真宗,聲前問己躬,赤窮新活計,清白舊J32nB272_p0182b03家風。的的三乘外,寥寥一印中,卻來行異類,萬派自J32nB272_p0182b04朝東。」
J32nB272_p0182b05上堂,舉:「雪峰住庵,二僧來拜。峰見,兩手托門,放身出J32nB272_p0182b06云:『是什麼?』僧云:『是什麼?』峰低頭歸庵。僧到巖頭,頭問:J32nB272_p0182b07『什麼處來?』僧云:『嶺南來。』頭云:『曾到雪峰麼?』僧云:『曾到。』J32nB272_p0182b08頭云:『有何言句?』僧舉前話,頭云:『他道什麼?』僧云:『他無J32nB272_p0182b09語,低頭歸庵。』頭云:『噫!我當初悔不向他道末後句,若J32nB272_p0182b10向他道,天下人不奈雪老何。』僧至夏末,再舉前話請J32nB272_p0182b11益,頭云:『何不早問?』僧云:『未敢容易。』頭云:『雪峰與我同J32nB272_p0182b12條生,不與我同條死,要識末後句,只者是!』」師云:「切磋J32nB272_p0182b13琢磨,變態淆訛,葛陂化龍之杖,陶家居蟄之梭,同條J32nB272_p0182b14生兮有數,同條死兮無多。末後句,只者是,風舟載月J32nB272_p0182b15浮秋水。」
J32nB272_p0182b16上堂,舉:「僧問趙州:『學人乍入叢林,乞師指示!』州云:『喫J32nB272_p0182b17粥了也未?』僧云:『喫粥了。』州云:『洗缽去。』」師云:「粥罷令教J32nB272_p0182b18洗缽盂,豁然心地自相符,而今參飽叢林客,且道其J32nB272_p0182b19問有悟無?」
J32nB272_p0182b20上堂,舉:「僧問雲門:『如何是清淨法身?』門云:『花藥欄。』僧J32nB272_p0182b21云:『便恁麼去時如何?』門云:『金毛獅子。』雪竇著語云:『太J32nB272_p0182b22無端。』」師云:「賊來須打,客來須待。雲門、雪竇二俱作家,J32nB272_p0182b23者裏莫有恁麼去者麼?切忌撞頭磕額。」
J32nB272_p0182b24上堂,舉:「誌公云:『終日拈香擇火,不知身是道場。』」師云:J32nB272_p0182b25「弄精魂漢有甚麼限?玄沙云:『終日拈香擇火,不知真J32nB272_p0182b26個道場。』」師云:「奇怪!八十翁翁入場屋,不是小兒嬉。且J32nB272_p0182b27道利害在甚麼處?有智無智,較三十里。」
J32nB272_p0182b28上堂,舉:「藥山久不陞座,院主請為眾說法。眾纔集,山J32nB272_p0182b29登座良久,便歸方丈。院主云:『和尚何不為眾說法?』山J32nB272_p0182b30云:『經有經師,論有論師,爭怪得老僧?』」師云:「家法簡嚴,J32nB272_p0182c01非二非三,月來明湛水,雲退露寒嵒。真機自得,妙處J32nB272_p0182c02誰參?不是文殊白槌後,也應千古屈瞿曇。」
J32nB272_p0182c03上堂,僧問:「如何是向去底人?」師曰:「白雲投壑盡,青嶂J32nB272_p0182c04倚空高。」曰:「如何是卻來底人?」師曰:「滿頭白髮離嵒谷,J32nB272_p0182c05半夜穿雲入市廛。」曰:「如何是不來不去底人?」師曰:「石J32nB272_p0182c06女喚回三界夢,木人坐斷六門機。」乃曰:「句裏明宗則J32nB272_p0182c07易,宗中辯的則難。」良久曰:「還會麼?凍雞未報家林曉,J32nB272_p0182c08隱隱行人過雪山。」
J32nB272_p0182c09上堂,舉:「僧問魯祖:『如何是不言言?』祖云:『汝口在甚麼J32nB272_p0182c10處?』僧云:『無口。』祖云:『將什麼喫飯?』僧無對。」師云:「者僧只J32nB272_p0182c11解握死蛇頭,不能捋猛虎鬚。當時待他問:『你口在什J32nB272_p0182c12麼處?』便與一喝,拂袖便行。直饒魯祖全機,往往做手J32nB272_p0182c13腳不及。」
J32nB272_p0182c14上堂,舉:「仰山夢往彌勒內院居第二座,有一尊者白J32nB272_p0182c15椎云:『今日當第二座說法。』仰乃起白椎云:『摩訶衍法,J32nB272_p0182c16離四句、絕百非。諦聽諦聽!』次日,舉似溈山,溈云:『子已J32nB272_p0182c17登聖位。』」師云:「玉女依稀夜動機,錦絲歷歷吐梭臍,水J32nB272_p0182c18天湛碧全功墮,雪月寒清一色迷。諸禪德!全功負墮,J32nB272_p0182c19一色猶迷,作麼生體悉得相應去?權挂垢衣云是佛,J32nB272_p0182c20卻披珍御復名誰?」
J32nB272_p0182c21上堂:「諸禪德!吞盡三世佛底人,為甚麼開口不得?照J32nB272_p0182c22破四天下底人,為甚麼合眼不得?許多病痛與你一J32nB272_p0182c23時拈卻了也,且作麼生得十成通暢去?還會麼?擘開J32nB272_p0182c24華嶽連天色,放出黃河到海聲。」
J32nB272_p0182c25上堂,舉:「雲門因僧問:『秋初夏末,前程若有人問,作麼J32nB272_p0182c26生秖對?』門云:『大眾退後。』僧云:『未審過在甚麼處?』門云:J32nB272_p0182c27『還我九十日飯錢來。』」師云:「大眾退後,衲僧去就,豈用J32nB272_p0182c28機關,那容體究?蓑翁老熟慣風波,櫓橈不施船放淄。」
J32nB272_p0182c29上堂,舉:「僧問曹山:『佛未出世時如何?』山云:『曹山不如。』J32nB272_p0182c30僧云:『出世後如何?』山云:『不如曹山。』」師云:「佛與曹山主J32nB272_p0183a01賓互換,出世不出世各具一隻眼,未有長行而不住,J32nB272_p0183a02長住而不行。還會麼?幽洞豈拘關鎖意?縱橫不涉兩J32nB272_p0183a03頭機。」
J32nB272_p0183a04上堂,舉:「雲門示眾云:『直得觸目無滯,達得名身、句身J32nB272_p0183a05一切法空,山河大地是名,身亦不可得,喚作三昧性J32nB272_p0183a06海俱備,猶是無風匝匝之波,直得亡知於覺,覺即佛J32nB272_p0183a07性矣。喚作無事人,更須知有向上一竅在。』」師云:「賓主J32nB272_p0183a08不諧,二俱有過,各與二十棒。秖如向上一竅又作麼J32nB272_p0183a09生?犀因玩月紋生角,象被雷驚花入牙。」
J32nB272_p0183a10上堂,舉:「石霜因僧自洞山來,霜問:『洞山和尚有何言J32nB272_p0183a11句?』僧云:『解夏上堂云:「秋初夏末,兄弟們或東去西去,J32nB272_p0183a12直須向萬里無寸草處去。」良久云:「祇如萬里無寸草J32nB272_p0183a13處作麼去?」』霜曰:『有人下語否?』僧曰:『無。』霜曰:『何不道:出J32nB272_p0183a14門便是草?』僧舉似洞山,山曰:『瀏陽有古佛耶!』」師曰:「出J32nB272_p0183a15門是草,涉芊芊莽莽之間;葉落知秋,墮黯黯青青之J32nB272_p0183a16處。到者裏,須體取機雖轉紐印未成文處始得。」良久J32nB272_p0183a17云:「水明老蚌懷胎後,雲重蒼龍退骨時。」
J32nB272_p0183a18上堂,舉:「僧問雲門:『如何是塵塵三昧?』門云:『缽裏飯,桶J32nB272_p0183a19裏水。』」師云:「塵塵三昧,彼彼不外,千峰向嶽,百川赴海。J32nB272_p0183a20更無一法不如來,只箇堂堂觀自在。」
J32nB272_p0183a21上堂,舉:「乾峰示眾云:『舉一不得舉二,放過一著落在J32nB272_p0183a22第二。』雲門出眾曰:『昨日有人從天台來,卻往徑山去。』J32nB272_p0183a23峰曰:『來日不得普請。』」師云:「坐斷十方,千差路絕;放開J32nB272_p0183a24一線,萬派朝宗。二尊宿開拓家風,方見衲僧去就。還J32nB272_p0183a25端的麼?太平天子寰中旨,汗血將軍塞外心。」
J32nB272_p0183a26上堂,舉:「首山念禪師因僧問:『如何是佛?』山云:『新婦騎J32nB272_p0183a27驢阿家牽。』」師云:「新婦騎驢阿家牽,體段風流得自然,J32nB272_p0183a28堪笑效顰鄰舍女,向人添醜不成妍。」
J32nB272_p0183a29上堂,舉:「香林遠禪師因僧問:『如何是衲衣下事?』林云:J32nB272_p0183a30『臘月火燒山。』」師云:「老大叢林快說禪,不將禪挂口皮J32nB272_p0183b01邊,谷深山遠空無像,何處人呼應不圓?」
J32nB272_p0183b02上堂,舉:「僧到夾山,山問:『近離甚處?』曰:『洞山。』山曰:『洞山J32nB272_p0183b03有何言句?』曰:『和尚道:我有三路接人。』夾山曰:『有何三J32nB272_p0183b04路?』曰:『鳥道、玄路、展手。』山曰:『實有此三路耶?』曰:『是。』山曰:J32nB272_p0183b05『鬼持千里鈔,林下道人悲。』後浮山遠著語云:『不因黃J32nB272_p0183b06葉落,爭知是一秋?』」師云:「欲明三的旨,莫向二邊求。」復J32nB272_p0183b07云:「洪波浩渺接盲龜,鳥道無私絕有為,開口見心玄J32nB272_p0183b08路香,扇兒遮面露蛾眉。」
J32nB272_p0183b09上堂:「一點環中照極微,智無功處卻存知,緣思淨盡J32nB272_p0183b10無餘事,半夜星河斗柄垂。」
J32nB272_p0183b11上堂,舉:「盤山垂語云:『若言即心即佛,今時未入玄微;J32nB272_p0183b12若言非心非佛,亦是指蹤極則。』」師云:「有錢不解使,解J32nB272_p0183b13使卻無錢。且道作麼生得十成去?娶他年少婦,須是J32nB272_p0183b14白頭兒。」
晚參
J32nB272_p0183b16晚參,舉:「大耳三藏得他心通,朝見肅宗帝,帝命忠國J32nB272_p0183b17師驗之。藏見國師便禮拜,側立於右。國師云:『汝得他J32nB272_p0183b18心通是不?』藏云:『不敢。』國師云:『汝道老僧秪今在什麼J32nB272_p0183b19處?』藏云:『和尚是一國之師,何得在西川看競渡?』國師J32nB272_p0183b20再問:『汝道老僧即今在什麼處?』藏云:『和尚是一國之J32nB272_p0183b21師,何得在天津橋上看弄猢猻?』國師第三次問:『老僧J32nB272_p0183b22即今在什麼處?』藏罔知去處,國師叱云:『者野狐精!他J32nB272_p0183b23心通在什麼處?』」師云:「三藏不見國師則且置,你道國J32nB272_p0183b24師自知下落處麼?若謂自知,則百鳥銜花,諸天供養,J32nB272_p0183b25未有休日。且道正當恁麼時,落在什麼處?」
J32nB272_p0183b26晚參,舉:「陸亙大夫問南泉:『弟子家中有一片石,有時J32nB272_p0183b27坐、有時臥,欲鐫作佛,得不?』泉云:『得。』陸云:『莫不得不?』泉J32nB272_p0183b28云:『不得。』雲巖云:『坐則佛,不坐則非佛。』洞山云:『不坐則J32nB272_p0183b29佛,坐則非佛。』」師云:「轉功就位,轉位就功,還他洞上父J32nB272_p0183b30子。且道南泉意作麼生?直是針錐不得。」
J32nB272_p0183c01晚參,舉:「佛前有一女子入定,佛敕文殊出定,殊乃運J32nB272_p0183c02神力托上梵天出定不得,佛乃云:『下方罔明大士能J32nB272_p0183c03出此定。』須臾,罔明至,敕令出定,罔明彈指三下,女子J32nB272_p0183c04便出定。」師云:「若定若動,當人變弄,鴻毛輕而不輕,太J32nB272_p0183c05山重而非重。還知老瞿曇鼻孔在我手裏麼?」
J32nB272_p0183c06晚參,舉:「雪峰與三聖行次,見一隊猢猻,峰云:『秖者猢J32nB272_p0183c07猻各各背一面古鏡。』聖云:『歷劫無名,何以彰為古鏡?』J32nB272_p0183c08峰云:『瑕生也。』聖云:『一千五百人善知識,話頭也不識。』J32nB272_p0183c09峰云:『老僧住持事繁。』」師云:「當時若見雪峰道:『瑕生也。』J32nB272_p0183c10但近前云:『喏喏!』且道何故如此?爭之不足,讓之有餘。」
J32nB272_p0183c11晚參,舉:「法眼問覺上座:『船來?陸來?』覺云:『船來。』眼云:『船J32nB272_p0183c12在甚麼處?』覺云:『船在河裏。』覺退,眼問傍僧云:『你道適J32nB272_p0183c13來者僧具眼不具眼?』」師云:「水不洗水,金不博金,昧毛J32nB272_p0183c14色而得馬,靡絲絃而樂琴,結繩畫卦有許事,喪盡真J32nB272_p0183c15淳太古心。」
J32nB272_p0183c16晚參,舉:「曹山問德上座:『佛真法身猶若虛空,應物現J32nB272_p0183c17形如水中月,作麼生說箇應底道理?』德云:『如驢覷井。』J32nB272_p0183c18山云:『道則太煞道,只道得八成。』德云:『和尚又如何?』山J32nB272_p0183c19云:『如井覷驢。』」師云:「驢覷井,井覷驢,智容無外,淨涵有J32nB272_p0183c20餘,肘後誰分印?家中不蓄書。機絲不挂梭頭事,文彩J32nB272_p0183c21縱橫意自殊。」
J32nB272_p0183c22晚參,舉:「長慶示眾云:『淨潔打疊了,近前就我索,驀脊J32nB272_p0183c23與你一棒。有者棒到你,你須具大慚愧;若無者一棒J32nB272_p0183c24到你,你向甚麼處會?』」師云:「開口喫常住飯,展腳臥長J32nB272_p0183c25連床,求箇知慚愧者難得。還知長慶棒落處麼?雷開J32nB272_p0183c26蟄戶電燒尾,引出崢嶸頭角來。」
J32nB272_p0183c27晚參,舉:「黃檗示眾云:『汝等諸人盡是噇酒糟漢,與麼J32nB272_p0183c28行腳何處有今日?還知大唐國裏無禪師麼?』僧云:『只J32nB272_p0183c29如諸方匡徒領眾又作麼生?』檗云:『不道無禪,只是無J32nB272_p0183c30師。』」師云:「岐分絲染太勞勞,葉綴花聯敗祖曹,妙握司J32nB272_p0184a01南造化柄,水雲器具在甄陶。屏割繁碎,剪除氄毛,星J32nB272_p0184a02衡藻鑑,玉尺金刀。黃檗老!察秋毫,坐斷春風不放高。」
J32nB272_p0184a03晚參,舉:「雲巖問道吾:『大悲菩薩用許多手眼作麼?』吾J32nB272_p0184a04云:『如人夜間背手摸枕子。』巖云:『我會也。』吾云:『汝作麼J32nB272_p0184a05生會?』巖云:『遍身是手眼。』吾云:『道即太煞道,只道得八J32nB272_p0184a06成。』巖云:『師兄作麼生?』吾云:『通身是手眼。』」師云:「一竅虛J32nB272_p0184a07通,八面玲瓏,無象無私春入律,不留不礙月行空。清J32nB272_p0184a08淨寶目功德臂,遍身何似通身是?現前手眼顯全機,J32nB272_p0184a09大用縱橫何忌諱?」
J32nB272_p0184a10晚參,舉:「僧問洞山:『時時勤拂拭,莫使惹塵埃,為什麼J32nB272_p0184a11不得他衣缽?』山云:『直饒道本來無一物,也未得他衣J32nB272_p0184a12缽!且道什麼人合得?』僧下九十六轉語,不契,末後云:J32nB272_p0184a13『設使將來他亦不受。』山深肯之。雪竇云:『他既不受是J32nB272_p0184a14眼,將來必應是瞎。』」師云:「長蘆則不然,直須將來,若不J32nB272_p0184a15將來,爭知不受?若不不受,爭免將來?將來底必應是J32nB272_p0184a16眼,不受底真箇是瞎。還會麼?照盡體無依,通身合大J32nB272_p0184a17道。」

J32nB272_p0184a26晚參,舉:「密師伯與洞山行,見白兔子面前走過,密云:J32nB272_p0184a27『俊哉!』山云:『作麼生?』密云:『如白衣拜相。』山云:『老老大大J32nB272_p0184a28作者箇語話。』密云:『你作麼生?』山云:『積代簪纓,暫時落J32nB272_p0184a29魄。』」師云:「抗力霜雪,平步雲霄,下惠黜國,相如過橋。蕭J32nB272_p0184a30曹謀略能成漢,果許身心欲避堯,寵辱若驚深自信,J32nB272_p0184b01真情參跡混漁樵。」
J32nB272_p0184b02晚參,舉:「嚴陽尊者問趙州:『一物不將來時如何?』州云:J32nB272_p0184b03『放下著。』嚴云:『一物不將來,放下箇什麼?』州云:『恁麼則J32nB272_p0184b04擔取去。』」師云:「不防細行輸先手,自覺心麤愧撞頭,局J32nB272_p0184b05破腰間斧柯爛,洗清凡骨共僊遊。」
J32nB272_p0184b06晚參,舉:「僧問青林虔禪師:『學人徑往時如何?』林云:『死J32nB272_p0184b07蛇當大路,勸子莫當頭。』僧云:『當頭時如何?』林云:『喪子J32nB272_p0184b08性命。』僧云:『不當頭時如何?』林云:『亦無迴避處。』僧云:『正J32nB272_p0184b09當恁麼時如何?』林云:『失卻了也。』僧云:『未審向甚麼處J32nB272_p0184b10去?』林云:『草深無覓處。』僧云:『和尚也須隄防始得。』林撫J32nB272_p0184b11掌云:『一等是箇毒氣。』」師云:「三老暗轉柁,孤舟夜回頭,J32nB272_p0184b12蘆花兩岸雪,煙水一江秋。風力扶帆行不棹,笛聲喚J32nB272_p0184b13月下滄洲。」
J32nB272_p0184b14晚參,舉:「巖頭辭德山,山云:『子向甚麼處去?』頭云:『暫辭J32nB272_p0184b15和尚下山去。』山云:『子他後作麼生?』頭云:『不忘和尚。』山J32nB272_p0184b16云:『子憑何有此語?』頭云:『豈不聞智與師齊,減師半德;J32nB272_p0184b17智過於師,方堪傳授?』山云:『如是!如是!善自護持。』」師云:J32nB272_p0184b18「德山尋常棒下不立佛祖,及乎到者時節得恁麼老J32nB272_p0184b19婆,雖然是養子之緣,爭免得後人檢責?待伊道:『智過J32nB272_p0184b20於師,方堪傳授。』拽拄杖,驀脊便打。」
J32nB272_p0184b21晚參,舉:「《金剛經》云:『若為人輕賤,是人先世罪業應墮J32nB272_p0184b22惡道,以今世人輕賤故,先世罪業則為消滅。』」師云:「綴J32nB272_p0184b23綴功過,膠膠因果。鏡外狂奔演若多,杖頭擊著破灶J32nB272_p0184b24墮。破,來相賀,卻道從前辜負我。」
J32nB272_p0184b25晚參,舉:「劉鐵磨到溈山,山云:『老牸牛汝來也。』磨云:『來J32nB272_p0184b26日臺山大會齋,和尚還去麼?』山放身臥倒,磨便出。」師J32nB272_p0184b27云:「百戰功成老太平,優柔誰肯苦爭衡?玉鞭金馬閒J32nB272_p0184b28終日,明月清風富一生。」
J32nB272_p0184b29晚參,舉:「南泉垂語云:『王老師牧一頭水牯牛,擬向溪J32nB272_p0184b30東去,不免犯官家苗稼;擬向溪西去,不免犯官家苗J32nB272_p0184c01稼。爭如隨分納些些,總不見得?』」師云:「南泉牧牛可謂J32nB272_p0184c02奇特,直得一切處關防不得。為甚麼如此?是他隨分J32nB272_p0184c03納些些。」
J32nB272_p0184c04晚參,舉:「僧問乾峰:『十方婆伽梵,一路涅槃門,未審路J32nB272_p0184c05頭在什麼處?』峰以柱杖一畫,云:『在者裏。』僧復問雲門,J32nB272_p0184c06門云:『扇子𨁝跳上三十三天,築著帝釋鼻孔,東海鯉J32nB272_p0184c07魚打一棒,雨似盆傾。會麼?』」師云:「入手還將死馬醫,反J32nB272_p0184c08魂香欲起君危,一期拶出通身汗,方信儂家不惜眉。」
J32nB272_p0184c09晚參,舉:「米胡和尚令僧問仰山:『今時人還假悟否?』山J32nB272_p0184c10云:『悟即不無,爭奈落第二頭何?』胡深肯之。」師云:「第二J32nB272_p0184c11頭號分悟迷,快須撒手捨筌罤,功兮未盡成胼拇,智J32nB272_p0184c12也難知覺噬臍。兔老冰盤秋露泣,鳥寒玉樹曉風棲,J32nB272_p0184c13持來大仰辨真假,痕玷渾無貴白圭。」
J32nB272_p0184c14晚參,舉:「黃蘗問百丈:『從上相承底事,如何指示於人?』J32nB272_p0184c15丈踞坐,蘗云:『後代兒孫將何傳授?』丈云:『將為你是箇J32nB272_p0184c16人。』便歸方丈。」師云:「言滿天下無口過,行滿天下無怨J32nB272_p0184c17惡,還他百丈。黃蘗不是不知有,且要此話大行。還會J32nB272_p0184c18百丈歸方丈麼?林間風葉落,化外水天秋。」
J32nB272_p0184c19晚參,舉:「僧問夾山:『撥塵見佛時如何?』山云:『直須揮劍。J32nB272_p0184c20若不揮劍,漁父棲巢。』僧問石霜:『撥塵見佛時如何?』霜J32nB272_p0184c21云:『渠無國土,何處逢渠?』僧回,舉似夾山,山乃上堂舉J32nB272_p0184c22了云:『門庭施設不如老僧,入理深談猶較石霜百步。』」J32nB272_p0184c23師云:「拂牛劍氣洗兵威,定亂歸功更是誰?一旦氛埃J32nB272_p0184c24清四海,垂衣皇化自無為。」
J32nB272_p0184c25晚參,舉:「趙州問投子:『大死底人卻活時如何?』子云:『不J32nB272_p0184c26許夜行,投明須到。』」師云:「芥城劫石妙窮初,活眼寰中J32nB272_p0184c27照廓虛,不許夜行投曉到,家音未肯付鴻魚。」
J32nB272_p0184c28晚參,舉:「風穴垂語云:『若立一塵,家國興盛;不立一塵,J32nB272_p0184c29家國喪亡。』」師拈拄杖云:「還有同生同死底衲僧麼?」復J32nB272_p0184c30云:「皤然渭水起垂綸,何似首陽清餓人?只在一塵分J32nB272_p0185a01變態,高名勛業兩難泯。」

J32nB272_p0185a03示眾:「參學眼目須辨來端,莫認頑空便為自己,洞山J32nB272_p0185a04五位曲為今時,不究根源妄生階塹。古德云:『莫將真J32nB272_p0185a05際雜頑空。』又云:『心同虛空界,示等虛空法。』又云:『莫於J32nB272_p0185a06中路事空王,策杖還須到本鄉。』正偏之旨妙在體前,J32nB272_p0185a07五位君臣功勳王子名異體同,毫髮有差誤,萬劫繫J32nB272_p0185a08驢橛。君為正位,臣為偏位。君視臣為正中偏,臣奉君J32nB272_p0185a09為偏中正,君臣道合兼帶語也。如森羅萬象,日月星J32nB272_p0185a10辰,乾坤大地,色空明暗盡屬今時,傍求妙協切忌當J32nB272_p0185a11頭明顯玄旨,是正中來。交鋒兩刃不懼死生,泥牛吼J32nB272_p0185a12月、木馬嘶風、火裡蓮花方有出身之路,是兼中至。直J32nB272_p0185a13造玄宗,不坐他床榻,冥應眾緣不隨諸有,非染非淨、J32nB272_p0185a14非正非偏,虛玄大道無著真宗,從上先德推此一位J32nB272_p0185a15最妙最玄,是兼中到。朕兆未萌,會要借功明位;影響J32nB272_p0185a16纔露,還須借位明功。分一句子,菊花紅蓼正芬芳;借J32nB272_p0185a17一句子,月船親到水雲鄉。恁麼時、恁麼處、恁麼來、恁J32nB272_p0185a18麼去。其來也內紹到家,其去也傍分借路。月色練鋪J32nB272_p0185a19江曲,蘆花月映門頭,分明只是箇人,宛轉歸來舊處。」
