萬峰和尚蚤歲於虎跑室中得其肉壯歲於伏龍室J40nB492_p0485a03中得其髓自是通身慶快徹骨清涼無一絲毫為障J40nB492_p0485a04為礙爾後張鋪席於蔚嶠開飯店於嵩山不假文字J40nB492_p0485a05不資語嘿單單以一色本分草料接人而四方來者J40nB492_p0485a06如歸不舍晝夜室中得指明心者莫知其數嗣法立J40nB492_p0485a07宗者列布山川化緣既終其徒齡山壽上人捧此帙J40nB492_p0485a08過苕溪之上見示於稿室稿室即合爪加額焚香三J40nB492_p0485a09既而掩卷而謂齡山曰:「老師和盤托出盡在此J40nB492_p0485a10書矣正是活人之丹殺人之藥故其胸中流出一一J40nB492_p0485a11高玅使天目正宗伏龍的派二十年後話當大行。」J40nB492_p0485a12問余:「何以知之?」:「我知言。」

住蘭溪州嵩山開堂上堂拈香祝聖云:「此香爇向爐J40nB492_p0485c05端為祝延 今上聖壽恭願三千大千世界盡屬J40nB492_p0485c06華封百億萬億須彌咸歸正化。」次拈香云:「奉為伏龍J40nB492_p0485c07山聖壽禪寺佛慧圓鑒千巖和尚用酬法乳之恩。」

就座。「千聖難明不了因代代相傳古到今今日嵩山J40nB492_p0485c09重舉似鐵樹花開別是春向無影樹下打眠宏開飯J40nB492_p0485c10於虛空背上經行大闡宗乘塵塵剎剎全彰物物J40nB492_p0485c11頭頭合轍擊碎魔王窠臼斷送衲子命根不作奇特J40nB492_p0485c12商量不作玄妙解會直得淨名杜口共贊昇平巖頭J40nB492_p0485c13密啟咸宣至化正恁麼時開堂祝聖報恩句子作麼J40nB492_p0485c14生道?」良久:「一片定光暉宇宙直教萬國奉君恩。」

施主請說大法陞座良久:「三世諸佛如是說歷代J40nB492_p0485c19祖師如是說天下老和尚如是說嵩山道者亦如是J40nB492_p0485c20若有不如是說者與他三十棒若有如是說者J40nB492_p0485c21與他三十棒何故?」卓拄杖一下:「嵩山門下令不虛J40nB492_p0485c22。」下座

上堂:「現成公案不肯承當向嵩山追求何J40nB492_p0485c23若言求佛汝即是佛若言求道道無可道若言求J40nB492_p0485c24法本無法切莫妄想。」時有僧問:「佛法即不問如何J40nB492_p0485c25是嵩山境?」師云:「四面好山擎日月一湖秋水浸青天。」J40nB492_p0485c26:「如何是境中人?」師云:「三仙描不就終不與君傳。」J40nB492_p0485c27如何是目前事?」師云:「眉毛眼上橫。」:「莫不是他安身J40nB492_p0485c28處麼?」師云:「錯認定盤星。」進云:「爭奈觀山觀水何?」師云J40nB492_p0485c29觀外如幻觀內亦然去此二途汝作麼生觀?」僧無對J40nB492_p0485c30師乃云:「只如老子道:『內觀其心心無其心外觀其形J40nB492_p0486a01形無其形遠觀其物物無其物。』三者既悟唯見於空J40nB492_p0486a02亦是吾宗金鎖玄關之難何況觀山觀水觀佛觀法J40nB492_p0486a03所以道:『不是目前法亦非目前事。』且道是個甚麼?」J40nB492_p0486a04一喝卓拄杖下座

設齋示眾:「古德云:『不見三頭六臂能拈匙放箸。』J40nB492_p0486a10也大奇也大奇。」拈拄杖指左邊一指:「這裏是山J40nB492_p0486a11裏是水?」又指右邊一指:「遮裏是水那裏是山?」舉拄J40nB492_p0486a12:「這箇是拄杖子主在甚麼處向這裏一一見得J40nB492_p0486a13明白許你有口堪喫飯然雖恁麼亦未見他三頭六J40nB492_p0486a14臂在且道那裏見得?」拈拄杖一齊打散

因僧論禪教示眾:「如來妙道難解難知靈山會上J40nB492_p0486b30五千退席大覺世尊愍物垂慈開演三車誘引諸子J40nB492_p0486c01出離火宅然後但以大乘而為度脫若總不說不為J40nB492_p0486c02眾生普施妙道若別有說反令眾生隨於諸有經云J40nB492_p0486c03一切諸世尊皆說一乘道我有方便力開示三乘法。』J40nB492_p0486c04世尊如是剖露太煞老婆心切後學初機不知聖意J40nB492_p0486c05往往沉於語言之下不能體會玄微徒觀標月之指J40nB492_p0486c06不睹當天之月遂以語言文字為礙醍醐上味翻成J40nB492_p0486c07毒藥豈不聞世尊云:『為了此事更無餘事。』為你學人J40nB492_p0486c08不明自是佛向外馳求先聖以慈愍故遞相出興J40nB492_p0486c09遞相傳授開方便門示真實相或威或慈或擒或縱J40nB492_p0486c10或隱或顯或棒或喝頭頭顯露處處全彰即要當人J40nB492_p0486c11直下領會玄旨不得已而為之將蜜棗子換汝苦J40nB492_p0486c12葫蘆水潦和尚見馬大師欲伸問間被馬祖一腳踏J40nB492_p0486c13起來呵呵大笑百千法門無量妙義即向一毫頭J40nB492_p0486c14上識得根源了了分明若也住心觀靜舉心外照J40nB492_p0486c15心內澄凝心入道總是無風匝匝之波我此一門J40nB492_p0486c16貴利根上智領之於二言之下若也世智辯聰縱然J40nB492_p0486c17通得一大藏教乃至九經十七史諸子百家只嬴得J40nB492_p0486c18口頭滑於本分事遠之遠矣士大夫有留心意於此J40nB492_p0486c19多謂佛道懸曠久受勤苦乃可得成又謂千生學J40nB492_p0486c20威儀萬劫學細行如何博地凡夫便得入手此皆自J40nB492_p0486c21推一座須彌山一障障了豈不見黃山谷道人問道J40nB492_p0486c22晦堂因論吾無隱乎爾山谷於是瞥地張無垢居士J40nB492_p0486c23初見靈隱明善權清久之不契及登妙喜之門因論J40nB492_p0486c24但知格物不知物格頓悟厥旨世出世間得人憎J40nB492_p0486c25出遮些子如水行地中無往而非水若謂水專在J40nB492_p0486c26此澄清大海惟認一浮漚目為全潮若果得此事J40nB492_p0486c27手只消一滴便可興波作浪全卷全舒全起全滅J40nB492_p0486c28浮幢王剎海皆具吾一滴中矣倘或不然只守澄澄J40nB492_p0486c29湛湛未免死水裏淹殺大丈夫漢向威音王以前空J40nB492_p0486c30劫那畔擔負得行何處有許多周由者也豈不見臨J40nB492_p0487a01濟在黃檗會下問祖師西來的的大意三度問話J40nB492_p0487a02遭痛棒不領玄旨後至大愚和尚處被他一拶豁然J40nB492_p0487a03大悟便道:『黃檗元來佛法也無多子。』大愚云:『你適問J40nB492_p0487a04有過無過便道黃檗佛法無多子畢竟有多少速道!』J40nB492_p0487a05濟於大愚脅下𡎺三拳到這裏一點子也謾他不得J40nB492_p0487a06自後開堂演法顯大機發大用開鑿人天眼目發揚J40nB492_p0487a07佛祖宗猷機鋒如石火電光相似實難近傍凡見學J40nB492_p0487a08人入門便喝示眾云:『有時一喝是金剛王寶劍有時J40nB492_p0487a09一喝是踞地獅子有時一喝是探竿影草有時一喝J40nB492_p0487a10不作一喝用。』敢問諸人道阿那一喝是金剛王寶劍J40nB492_p0487a11阿那一喝是踞地獅子阿那一喝是探竿影草阿那J40nB492_p0487a12一喝不作一喝用向這裏緇素得出許爾具一隻眼J40nB492_p0487a13看破臨濟祖師會麼會麼?」喝一喝:「是金剛王寶劍J40nB492_p0487a14是踞地獅子是探竿影草是一喝不作一喝用?」又喝J40nB492_p0487a15一喝:「是照是用是照用同時是照用不同時?」又喝J40nB492_p0487a16一喝:「是賓是主是賓主同時是賓主不同時遮裏J40nB492_p0487a17會得亦未全提如臨濟會下兩堂首座齊下一喝J40nB492_p0487a18那喝是主那喝是賓遮裏見得徹去便見臨濟老J40nB492_p0487a19人立地處便見汾陽白雲慈明楊岐祖師立地處便J40nB492_p0487a20見自己立地處便見大地眾生立地處懷藏智鑑J40nB492_p0487a21在機先顯發大用用超格外以至東家杓柄長西家J40nB492_p0487a22杓柄短無不知之如今叢林參學高士至死不明此J40nB492_p0487a23病在何為堪嗟學人不了妄自執法為病以病攻J40nB492_p0487a24致使佛性愈求愈遠轉急轉遲伶俐漢回光返照J40nB492_p0487a25直下知非藥病兩忘眼睛突出爍破山河大地耀開J40nB492_p0487a26百億須彌全卷全舒全殺全活捉敗德山門戶看破J40nB492_p0487a27臨濟家風是則是要見德山即易要見嵩山即難J40nB492_p0487a28須知死句中有活句活句中有死句死句中有死J40nB492_p0487a29活句中有活句。」驀拈拄杖舉示大眾會麼善財到此無行J40nB492_p0487a30有在渠儂彈指間。」

示眾。「從上佛祖剖露單傳開權顯實說玄說妙契理J40nB492_p0487b02契機只要學人識取自心累他先聖曲垂方便誘進J40nB492_p0487b03斯門所以道:『摩尼珠人不識如來藏裏親收得六般J40nB492_p0487b04神用空不空一顆圓光色非色。』此珠人人具足箇箇J40nB492_p0487b05圓成非特如來藏中三世諸佛歷代祖師何嘗少欠J40nB492_p0487b06若佛若祖是聖是凡莫不皆有此珠汝等諸人六根J40nB492_p0487b07門頭放光動地因甚不見即為情生智隔想念體殊J40nB492_p0487b08無端雜毒種在八識田中醍醐上味翻成惡水埋沒J40nB492_p0487b09自己靈光決定無由得見若是決烈丈夫直下一刀J40nB492_p0487b10兩段不被邪師惑亂不受塵緣繫縛具大眼目具大J40nB492_p0487b11手段直入斯門得獲大寶豈不見大梅常禪師參馬J40nB492_p0487b12問云:『如何是佛?』祖云:『即心是佛。』便向大梅一住二J40nB492_p0487b13十年馬祖令僧去探其是否僧到便問云:『和尚見馬J40nB492_p0487b14大師得何道理便住此山?』常曰:『向我道即心即佛」,J40nB492_p0487b15便向這裏住。』僧云:『馬祖佛法近日又別。』常曰:『作麼生J40nB492_p0487b16?』僧云:『又道非心非佛」。』常曰:『這老漢惑亂天下人未J40nB492_p0487b17有了日在任他非心非佛我但即心即佛。』看他一得J40nB492_p0487b18永得了無退失遮箇便是參禪問道底英靈衲子J40nB492_p0487b19見便了更不狐疑如百丈問長慶云:『如何是佛?』慶云J40nB492_p0487b20騎牛覓牛。』僧問西明和尚云:『如何是佛?』尚云:『即汝便J40nB492_p0487b21。』便是自家珍寶更莫他求如斯會得看破馬大師J40nB492_p0487b22心肝五臟苟或不然更聽一偈一對眉毛眼上橫J40nB492_p0487b23問渠儂短與長八字打開全剖露分明遍界雨花香。」

示眾。「禪無可參道無可證無證無參是為禪定定無J40nB492_p0487b25所定所定非定欲得真定但莫諍兢諍兢既忘不存J40nB492_p0487b26心境道本無修從茲而證如斯證者方知無三界可J40nB492_p0487b27無涅槃可證無禪定可修無輪迴可脫無染無淨J40nB492_p0487b28不生不滅古云:『不斷煩惱而證菩提。』煩惱即是菩提J40nB492_p0487b29菩提即是煩惱離菩提即無煩惱離煩惱即無菩提J40nB492_p0487b30菩提煩惱出乎心更無別法明只明自本心見即見J40nB492_p0487c01自本性見又離見離見之見即見本心本心非心J40nB492_p0487c02心之心即見真心此名為正悟此名為精進亦名為J40nB492_p0487c03解脫亦名般若真如佛性大覺金仙總是假名如是J40nB492_p0487c04悟者方知佛與眾生性原平等無二無別只因迷妄J40nB492_p0487c05不能修禪定智慧淪墜生死苦海無有出期大覺世J40nB492_p0487c06尊方便誘進眾生假說六度萬行布施持戒忍辱J40nB492_p0487c07禪定智慧若無禪定智慧布施持戒者何也即貪J40nB492_p0487c08嗔癡煩惱賊劫奪功德法財若無貪嗔癡更無言說J40nB492_p0487c09五千餘卷如葉止啼相似達磨大師自西天十萬八J40nB492_p0487c10千里道途來至此土教外別傳不立文字直指人心J40nB492_p0487c11見性成佛自後神光立雪斷臂覓法安心從此問荅J40nB492_p0487c12為禪頓契明心為道嵩山到這裏恁麼也三十棒J40nB492_p0487c13恁麼也三十棒恁麼不恁麼亦與他三十棒。」卓拄杖一下云J40nB492_p0487c14夜來風捲殘雲去一輪明月照天心。」

示眾。「大凡參禪做工夫者不得安然靜坐忘形死心J40nB492_p0487c16澄空守寂昏沉散亂須是抖擻精神猛著精彩急下J40nB492_p0487c17手腳剔起眉毛咬定牙關提起話頭立地要知分曉J40nB492_p0487c18不得今日也恁麼明日也恁麼便就萬法歸一一歸J40nB492_p0487c19何處上大起疑情疑箇一歸何處即將此一則公案J40nB492_p0487c20盡平生氣力提在手中如一柄銕掃帚相似佛來也J40nB492_p0487c21魔來也掃邪來也掃正來也掃是也掃非也掃J40nB492_p0487c22也掃無也掃掃來掃去掃到無下手處無著力處正J40nB492_p0487c23好著力無掃蕩處正好掃蕩忽然掃破虛空突出一J40nB492_p0487c24箇苕帚柄來元來在這裏在這裏依前即是箇J40nB492_p0487c25張上座一翻翻轉山河大地明暗色空盡是自家珍J40nB492_p0487c26草木砂礫盡是自法身到這裏說甚麼一歸何J40nB492_p0487c27只這一柄銕掃帚亦乃和身放下坐斷常寂光J40nB492_p0487c28出無生界喚作無為無事人也若是打不徹透不過J40nB492_p0487c29切莫匆匆草草道我會禪會道不用參疑我問你J40nB492_p0487c30月三十日到來從前會得底道禪用得著麼所以參J40nB492_p0488a01須實參悟須實悟不可弄虛頭認光影不求正悟J40nB492_p0488a02向遮裏將本參公案三百六十骨節八萬四千毫竅J40nB492_p0488a03併作一箇疑團頓在眉毛眼睫上看定通身是箇萬J40nB492_p0488a04法歸一一歸何處行也如是參坐也如是參靜也如J40nB492_p0488a05是參動也如是參參來參去通身是箇話頭物我俱J40nB492_p0488a06心識路絕澄澄湛湛寂靜無為驀然疑團子爆地J40nB492_p0488a07一聲直得須彌粉碎大地平沉迸出一輪杲日照耀J40nB492_p0488a08山川遮藏不得那時來嵩山門下喫痛棒。」
