J40nB485_p0283a04慶忠老人五九,四眾設供,請拈香。云:「纔見金烏駕鐵J40nB485_p0283a05船,撲落虛空顛倒走,山河大地作琴鳴,特為吾師應J40nB485_p0283a06五九。五九四十五,馬腹驢胎今亙古,這回掉臂去還J40nB485_p0283a07來,面目依然照下土。還見麼?依稀似是,彷彿不同,這J40nB485_p0283a08裡薦得,許見師翁;其或未然,瞎驢滅卻正法眼,滿地J40nB485_p0283a09兒郎唱祖風。既云滅卻,因甚又道唱祖風?」良久,云:「鴛J40nB485_p0283a10鴦繡出從君看,不把金針度與人。」
J40nB485_p0283a11慶忠老人周年設供。「吾師六十年前提綱挈領,六十J40nB485_p0283a12年後慣妄脫空,向人天眾前賣悄贏乖,假示出生入J40nB485_p0283a13死榜樣,直是瞞某甲不得。不肖兒郎今日也只得屈J40nB485_p0283a14順人情,將計就計,燒一炷香,點幾盞茶,敘兩句寒溫,J40nB485_p0283a15略盡人子之念。諸昆仲還知麼?若向這裡知得,不謬J40nB485_p0283a16作他兒孫;其或未然,大家作禮。」
J40nB485_p0283a17參府靖遠袁居士請為王母對靈。驀拈拄杖云:「見麼?J40nB485_p0283a18身從無相中受生,猶如幻出諸形相,幻人心識本來J40nB485_p0283a19無,幻出無根無實性。即如袁母太夫人從如幻受生J40nB485_p0283a20以來,營家治業,懿德受褒,柔順內貞,膺夫榮子,復承J40nB485_p0283a21圓通大士之願,持佛母準提之素,一夕知身是幻,內J40nB485_p0283a22寢告終,可謂得大自在、得大受用。雖然如是,猶屬泡J40nB485_p0283a23影漚花,未是太夫人本命元辰落處。且道落在甚麼J40nB485_p0283a24處?」復畫圓相云:「還見麼?蠟炬滿堂明似鏡,靈臺一點J40nB485_p0283a25照無偏。」
J40nB485_p0283a26為用禪人舉火。「偃月爐,大火聚,禪人到此休迴避,鍛J40nB485_p0283a27盡無明,掃除根蒂,勝熱坑中,無向無背。」以火炬遶龕,J40nB485_p0283a28云:「還會麼?吞卻金圈栗棘蓬,出頭天外阿誰是?」
J40nB485_p0283a29慶忠老人忌辰,拈香。云:「年年三百六十日,日日聚頭;J40nB485_p0283a30晝夜十二時辰,時時親執。甘則同甘,苦則同苦,說甚J40nB485_p0283b01寒暑迭遷,違時失候?柰有先德儀規,未免依期展布。J40nB485_p0283b02茲乃吾師忌辰,有恒禪人設齋供養,燈顯但將吾師J40nB485_p0283b03龜毛拂、兔角杖、咬不破的鐵饅首、無滋味的木楂羹J40nB485_p0283b04呈在吾師座前。諸昆仲!還知這等供養麼?若也知得,J40nB485_p0283b05是真報恩共;或未然,須依舊列。」
J40nB485_p0283b06為冰玉沙彌舉火。「生也,玉潔冰清;滅也,泥團土塊。出J40nB485_p0283b07脫一步,別有生涯。」攛下火炬,云:「還見麼?赤光灼出金J40nB485_p0283b08獅子,巨燄堆中結聖胎。」
J40nB485_p0283b09為鳴岐文學對靈。「戒慎恐懼,守約安貧,苦樂順逆,素J40nB485_p0283b10位而行,此是相公生平踐履。且道今日事作麼生?」彈J40nB485_p0283b11指云:「會麼?吾無隱乎爾。」
J40nB485_p0283b12為近軒禪德舉火。「菊花黃,秋露碧,木落水寒,龜哥眼J40nB485_p0283b13赤。汝近軒,須委悉,功全行全,心直口直,念佛八十圖,J40nB485_p0283b14甲子六百一,于今捨妄歸真,卻也敏速端的。還知端J40nB485_p0283b15的事麼?」擲火把,云:「巨燄堆中飛鐵馬,琉璃地上產狻J40nB485_p0283b16猊。」
J40nB485_p0283b17慶忠老人忌辰,有恒設供,請拈香。云:「年年有恒,歲歲J40nB485_p0283b18性一,有恒性一,非離非即,不獨忠孝兼全,更喜恒久J40nB485_p0283b19不易。如何是不易底一句?」以香插爐云:「祈師慈悲,伏J40nB485_p0283b20惟尚饗。」
J40nB485_p0283b21為明初禪德起龕。喝一喝,云:「直截一句,迥絕言詮,向J40nB485_p0283b22上路頭,還須獨步。若欲歸根得址,也須親到一回;設J40nB485_p0283b23使顧後瞻前,終是半途作活。且到家一句如何指陳?」J40nB485_p0283b24以拄杖指龕,云:「楖栗橫擔休顧人,直入千峰萬峰去。」

J40nB485_p0283b26執炬,云:「萬仞嵒巔撒手,栗棘蓬裡轉身,務須穩步,毋J40nB485_p0283b27得因循,火把在手,休要生嗔,與君燒卻臭皮袋,換取J40nB485_p0283b28金剛不壞身。」

J40nB485_p0283b30指穴,云:「離中虛。」入靈骨,云:「坎中滿。透體玲瓏,如驢覷J40nB485_p0283c01井,女媧煉石補天,至今猶填不滿。毋住此中,勿離根J40nB485_p0283c02本。」復掩卻蓋,云:「休云密密不通風,須知別有好光景。J40nB485_p0283c03還識別的光景麼?」復畫圓相,云:「江頭雪積擁蘆花,山J40nB485_p0283c04寺臺高明月迥。」

J40nB485_p0285b13十戴檀波,一宗弘護,當此道法衰微之際,悉荷我公J40nB485_p0285b14大力鼎新。然治平禪林之有今日,得非香山公不忘J40nB485_p0285b15鳥窠記莂、柳谿遺規,安能有此?惟願我公于政事之J40nB485_p0285b16暇留心堅實,庶幾入世出世方得兩全。昔馮給事有J40nB485_p0285b17云:「公事之餘喜坐禪,未嘗將腋到床眠,雖然現出宰J40nB485_p0285b18官相,長老之名四海傳。」又清獻趙公云:「默坐公堂虛J40nB485_p0285b19隱几,心緣不動湛如水,一聲霹靂頂門開,喚起從前J40nB485_p0285b20自家底。」可見從上名公巨卿于公事之餘不忘本分J40nB485_p0285b21一著。公歷來著意治平、留心佛法,不啻蘇文忠之解J40nB485_p0285b22帶、韓子之留衣、王沂公之捨宅,施其財、捐其粟、塑其J40nB485_p0285b23金像、永其香燈,豈非白文公不忘其舊,復承悲願再J40nB485_p0285b24來耶?緇衣輩知恩有懷,啣環未遂,惟朝暮向黃面前J40nB485_p0285b25頌視,注候綸音晉爵、仙任榮升,尹喜堂前又得重瞻J40nB485_p0285b26紫氣。
J40nB485_p0285b27昔老和尚以一見相投,遂闢荊棘,和尚復以半紙J40nB485_p0285b28應命,搆結梵林,此俗語所謂都是會中人也。數年J40nB485_p0285b29來雖未曾施捨資財,然一片護持之心,未嘗一刻J40nB485_p0285b30稍懈。正期共講禪機,徐探妙理,而滄桑變矣,而離J40nB485_p0285c01情生矣。以何因緣,墮此火宅?分手之前,屢承和尚J40nB485_p0285c02瞻瞻戀戀,方外之朋情,反深于世間之交道。某靜J40nB485_p0285c03坐舟中,回想景況,使人不能不一低徊、一歎息也。J40nB485_p0285c04夔門之苦,一時難述,惟願和尚踐石上之言,垂三J40nB485_p0285c05顧之雅,便航過我,那時方話終夕矣。
復城守李公附來書
J40nB485_p0285c07季春廿二日,自尊衙作別。舟次五林,連日阻雨,廿八J40nB485_p0285c08日方抵夔門。寤寐神思,無刻不懷我公護持之德。然J40nB485_p0285c09則桃投有自,瓊謝未能,致令此心怏悒。本欲圖歸,因J40nB485_p0285c10夔門諸公挽留休夏,直得勉應其誠。俟秋水小落,買J40nB485_p0285c11棹方歸。五柳堂前,淵明、遠公又得重新一番話會。
J40nB485_p0285c12初夏晤別,倏忽新秋,企慕之私,莫能自逭。且愧寒J40nB485_p0285c13官恒以俗務掣肘,弗獲少申供養,屢荷垂注殷殷,J40nB485_p0285c14愧感交集。今寶剎已得眾禪師協力肩任,諸務就J40nB485_p0285c15妥,佇望轉棹,俾髮弟再得時聆禪教為幸也。臨穎J40nB485_p0285c16佇切。
寄同鄉李公書
J40nB485_p0285c18三十年破家散宅,浪蕩天涯,只做得個沒勾當人,欲J40nB485_p0285c19與家鄉父老阿翁作一出世了生脫死的榜樣,其柰J40nB485_p0285c20沒個知音,為之柰何?客歲溯舟上遊,適值我公他出,J40nB485_p0285c21凡所到處,滿目盡屬異鄉,四顧徬徨,一帶寒煙荒坰,J40nB485_p0285c22總屬眾生業感,居士以為何如?倘念疇昔知交,至情J40nB485_p0285c23骨肉,那玉治平一晤,不獨蓬薜生輝,便是再生良晤。
復楚省童真和尚書
J40nB485_p0285c25八經寒暑,兩辱佳音。昨接雲章,三番又至。柰弟年來J40nB485_p0285c26癖懶成性,未及回音,幾拂來意。若非手足相關,不幾J40nB485_p0285c27以不情視之耶?殊不知正是我弟兄親切處。只這親J40nB485_p0285c28切處,國一馬師猶落下風,思備雪峰猶剩白紙。這裡J40nB485_p0285c29說甚福盈福虧,苦樂安養?四無量何據何憑?鈍阿羅J40nB485_p0285c30是真是假?遊戲神通非分外,美食不中飽人餐。既能J40nB485_p0286a01快活優游,誰是寂寥境界?湖北之山,兄無住足。花冠J40nB485_p0286a02萎墜,弟等何干?若云會聚之緣,不須彈指,蓋其中自J40nB485_p0286a03有不隔者在也。臨穎神馳,依依不盡。
復南濱三一和尚
J40nB485_p0286a05雷驚出蟄,雨化從新,桃花浪暖時,南濱萬壽金毛哮J40nB485_p0286a06吼,須是恁麼人,始解恁麼事。賀賀!茲以薄務縈身,不J40nB485_p0286a07及握椎座右,共唱卷阿,實深抱歉。雖然,一昌眾甫,化J40nB485_p0286a08母機梭蚤已逗漏于山前嶺後,更看阿兄復從何處J40nB485_p0286a09啟口?
復靜默上座
J40nB485_p0286a11來札殷勤,深感關切,正謂水乳蘭蒞,馨味自投,知我J40nB485_p0286a12者其誰歟?今不能無說,但當此時世,隱處為高,其奈J40nB485_p0286a13欲隱彌露?所以古人居山林、隱朝市,或出或處、或語J40nB485_p0286a14或默,總皆方便機權。若論箇裡關頭,最難透過。果爾J40nB485_p0286a15透得過,客歲玉乾處境不曾逢、今日夔門亦不曾別,J40nB485_p0286a16說甚舊歲新春、悲懽離合、鶴跡翩翻之語,個中消息J40nB485_p0286a17已露;獅音海底之言,無耳偏能得聞。猿腸寸斷我知J40nB485_p0286a18音,爐鞴欲開君自得,不須捨此覓彼,直須密在汝邊,J40nB485_p0286a19不妨反覆二三,莫作口頭讀過。
復睿珍單傳二座
J40nB485_p0286a21年來虧二座導引,勷厥勝事,總欲智行兩全,方是聖J40nB485_p0286a22賢能事。唯願二座日新其學,以悟為期,行坐準于清J40nB485_p0286a23規,動止合乎先德,休矜己長,勿論彼短,自有出頭時J40nB485_p0286a24節。古德云:「不惜過秋霜,徒教滋味長,縱然生摘得,終J40nB485_p0286a25是不馨香。」唯二座勗之。

J40nB485_p0286b02 J40nB485_p0286b03釋之不類于儒者,其立教宗旨,崇虛蹈實,迥然異也。J40nB485_p0286b04釋之有合于儒者,其往繼來開,薪傳燈續,無弗同也。J40nB485_p0286b05考釋之達磨初祖,以釋迦為百世不遷之宗;東土之J40nB485_p0286b06傳,則臨濟之派稱盛。其間別戶分門,禪代衣缽之詳,J40nB485_p0286b07釋氏子孫自能言之,非吾所得悉,即非吾所能贅也。J40nB485_p0286b08𭎸至忠南,獲睹吹萬大師及鐵壁和尚語錄,閎博奧J40nB485_p0286b09衍,機敏警拔,賞者久之,訝者久之。以為儒也,而居然J40nB485_p0286b10釋也;以為釋也,而又有非儒不能及者,未嘗不欲溯J40nB485_p0286b11其源流于從遊者。一時證道上人,不啻數十輩,而普J40nB485_p0286b12門顯師,其最著者。師俗姓夏氏,故涪陵右族,與津邑J40nB485_p0286b13之夏,一本而分支于涪。津、涪兩派,代各有顯者。乃今J40nB485_p0286b14普門師不以儒顯,而以釋顯,則自其命名之初,其意J40nB485_p0286b15固以遠矣。且其顯也,不惟自顯其大法,並吹萬、鐵壁J40nB485_p0286b16二大師未墜之統緒亦藉以顯。則是昔以儒顯者,但J40nB485_p0286b17焜燿于一時;今之以釋顯者,直昭垂乎奕祀。其顯之J40nB485_p0286b18久暫,殆未可同年語也。師諱燈顯,號普門,開堂者二:J40nB485_p0286b19一為涪之迴龍,一為忠之曇華。年五十示寂迴龍堂J40nB485_p0286b20中,蓋誠得首丘之仁者。今涪、忠兩地門人各崇塔以J40nB485_p0286b21藏不朽之骨,是又能以其師顯者,果不負師命名之J40nB485_p0286b22意已。顯師乎?顯師乎?樂有師之弟,而師之所師又不J40nB485_p0286b23均賴師以顯乎?惜辭世早,語錄秖一卷,貽似刻行,余J40nB485_p0286b24未獲見其人,亦尚未讀其語也。其慈仁戒行度越等J40nB485_p0286b25輩者,涪、忠從遊之士類能稱述之,余無容置喙也。聊J40nB485_p0286b26因其弟子之請,略誌其譜系始末云。銘曰:
J40nB485_p0286b27不有以作之,孰從而成之?卓哉顯師,吾不得而見J40nB485_p0286b28之矣。卜之以其師,且卜之以其師之師。善乎仲尼J40nB485_p0286b29之論宓子賤也,曰:「魯無君子者,斯焉取斯?」雖然,不J40nB485_p0286b30有以述之,亦孰從而聞之?燈燈之相續者,匪伊二J40nB485_p0286c01三子,其何以使來許之昭茲?善乎子與之敘道統J40nB485_p0286c02也,曰:若禹、皋,若伊、萊,若望散,則見而知之;若湯,若J40nB485_p0286c03文王,若孔子,則聞而知之。後之作者,其亦將徵信J40nB485_p0286c04于斯。
