師誕日小參。「父母未生無處著名㘞地一聲以J40nB475_p0047b22秪可傍通拈花微笑徒增紺目之沙斷臂安心J40nB475_p0047b23益靈臺之垢德山用傾湫倒嶽之棒欺瞞嬰兒臨濟J40nB475_p0047b24展疾風迅霆之喝誑嚇閭里恁麼告報惡水潑人J40nB475_p0047b25若叨叨誠為自謗且道無名無相無滅無生又作麼J40nB475_p0047b26佛祖位中留不住夜來依舊宿蘆花。」

順治辛丑春師在蓮池山秉握老人命代席嶷山唐J40nB475_p0048a10至仁請小參。「懸寶鏡於堂前顯露無私之照設紅爐J40nB475_p0048a11於室內全彰妙用之功舊店新開冷灶著火離相離J40nB475_p0048a12名的從頭煆煉向上向下的徹底銷鎔不是盡法無J40nB475_p0048a13且要覿體相見。」遂豎拄杖曰:「竿頭絲線從君弄J40nB475_p0048a14犯清波意自殊。」

解制小參豎拄杖曰:「木上座或時為雨為霖普資萬J40nB475_p0048b05或時為祥為瑞廣庇群生或包括乾坤絲毫不洩J40nB475_p0048b06或展開法界物色齊明雖然理事渾融正偏兼帶J40nB475_p0048b07道解制一句又作麼生橫擔楖栗無拘束一任東西J40nB475_p0048b08南北遊。」

小參:「昔有二僧各住菴旬日不會一日相見上菴J40nB475_p0048b10主乃問:『多時不見在菴中作甚麼?』下菴主曰:『在菴裡J40nB475_p0048b11造個無縫塔。』上菴主曰:『某甲也要造個就師借個樣J40nB475_p0048b12子可不?』下菴主曰:『何不早道恰被人借去也。』二老雖J40nB475_p0048b13則明穿玉線暗度金針未免遞相鈍置試問諸人J40nB475_p0048b14菴主與麼問下菴主與麼答且道是借伊樣不借伊J40nB475_p0048b15若撿點得出許汝具一隻眼。」

起七小參。「諸禪德要明此個大事貴乎自信自肯J40nB475_p0048b25著精彩將從前習染底學解底積蓄底冊子上看底J40nB475_p0048b26閒談中記底善知識口邊聞底及四大五蘊六根六J40nB475_p0048b27明暗色空是非得失盡情收作一束拋向東洋大J40nB475_p0048b28單單靠著本參話頭行住坐臥折旋俯仰穿衣喫J40nB475_p0048b29屙屎放尿畢竟是個甚麼孜孜無間念念不停J40nB475_p0048b30時刻刻追拶到結角羅紋處更須努力一拶原來J40nB475_p0048c01腳跟下自有通天活路若不藍田射石虎何人知是J40nB475_p0048c02李將軍?」

避世小參召眾曰:「諸禪德本源國土太平麼若太平J40nB475_p0048c08正好喫鐵釘飯嚼木札羹忽然嚼破舌頭自然蕭然J40nB475_p0048c09物外一任楗椎龍象陶鑄聖凡在在稱尊門門作主J40nB475_p0048c10且道如何是蕭然物外一句長安雖鬧我國晏然。」

小參。「達磨老子昔年將一隻履放在白雲峰頂幾千J40nB475_p0048c12年來風吹日晒雨打霜侵竟無有人識得今日覿面J40nB475_p0048c13拈來。」遂以拄杖作挑勢:「不是皮造亦非布成J40nB475_p0048c14還有識得者麼無則西歸去也。」便下座

晚參:「南泉曰:『王老師自小養一頭水牯牛擬向溪J40nB475_p0048c17東牧不免犯國王水草擬向溪西牧不免犯國王水J40nB475_p0048c18不如隨分納些些總不見得。』南泉垂一言半句J40nB475_p0048c19當與人解黏去縛抽釘拔楔秪如東邊也犯西邊也J40nB475_p0048c20如何得隨分納些些若是南源者一頭在東不東J40nB475_p0048c21在西不西橫身宇宙處處逢源動則森羅萬象悉放J40nB475_p0048c22光明靜則凡聖含靈咸皆斂蹟且道與王老師相去J40nB475_p0048c23多少?」

晚參:「香嚴曰:『若論此事如人上樹口銜樹枝腳不J40nB475_p0048c25踏枝手不攀枝樹下忽有人問:「如何是祖師西來意?」J40nB475_p0048c26若不對違他所問若對又喪身失命當恁麼時作麼J40nB475_p0048c27生即得?』時有虎頭上座出問曰:『樹上即不問未上樹J40nB475_p0048c28時請和尚道。』嚴乃呵呵大笑香嚴真如金剛圈栗棘J40nB475_p0048c29吞吐不得虎頭上座雖善應來機未免遭他惑亂J40nB475_p0048c30若遇南源不消一個噴嚏教他在樹上也不得在樹J40nB475_p0049a01下也不得看他如何合煞。」

晚參:「殃崛摩羅尊者因持缽到一長者家值婦產J40nB475_p0049a03長者曰:『瞿曇弟子汝為至聖當有何法能免產難?』J40nB475_p0049a04崛曰:『我乍入道未知此法待我回問世尊卻來相報。』J40nB475_p0049a05及返具事白佛佛告殃崛:『汝速去報言:「我從賢聖劫J40nB475_p0049a06來未曾殺生。」』崛奉佛語疾往告之其婦得聞當時分J40nB475_p0049a07者則公案不惟眼中無珠者識他不得即大慧禪J40nB475_p0049a08師曾被他惑蓋因他如八陣圖一般善識門戶者自J40nB475_p0049a09然出入似入無人之境未透關隘者寧免沉迷南源J40nB475_p0049a10當初若作殃崛待長者恁麼問便噓一噓管教直下J40nB475_p0049a11令產婦分娩。」

起七晚參。「換骨脫胎自然七通八達轉凡成聖依然J40nB475_p0049a13落二落三俯仰折旋豈能羈絆行住坐臥孰敢羅籠J40nB475_p0049a14若也信疑不定心志不堅行則逞情放意坐則亂想J40nB475_p0049a15胡思聞警策則憤氣翀天遇閒談則葛藤遍地與麼J40nB475_p0049a16參學了生脫死直至彌勒下生所以道:『參禪須是鐵J40nB475_p0049a17著手心頭便判直取無上菩提一切是非莫管。』J40nB475_p0049a18恁麼時還有透綱的金鱗麼?」:「結制小參即不問J40nB475_p0049a19七勘驗事如何?」師隨聲便打僧便喝師又打僧又喝J40nB475_p0049a20師曰:「來者裡弄鬼眼睛。」乃連棒打退

晚參:「百丈上堂有一老人隨眾聽法一日眾退J40nB475_p0049a22老人不退丈問:『汝是何人?』:『某非人也於過去迦葉J40nB475_p0049a23佛時曾住此山因學人問:「大修行人還落因果也無?」J40nB475_p0049a24某對曰:「不落因果。」遂五百生墮野狐身今請和尚代J40nB475_p0049a25轉一語貴脫野狐身。』丈曰:『汝問。』老人曰:『大修行人還J40nB475_p0049a26落因果也無?』丈曰:『不昧因果。』老人於言下大悟作禮J40nB475_p0049a27:『脫野狐身住在山後乞師依亡僧津送。』丈乃J40nB475_p0049a28領眾至後山巖下挑出一死狐遂依法火葬。」師舉畢J40nB475_p0049a29問傍僧曰:「夜來老鼠咬破油罈你等知麼?」一僧曰:「J40nB475_p0049a30。」師隨聲打曰:「墮也墮也。」復以杖作挑起勢曰:「百丈J40nB475_p0049b01火葬我者裡活埋。」又僧出曰:「幸和尚高鑑。」遂抽身歸J40nB475_p0049b02師曰:「一隊野狐。」拈棒一齊打散

晚參:「乾峰示眾曰:『舉一不得舉二放過一著落在J40nB475_p0049b04第二。』雲門曰:『昨日有人從天台來卻往徑山去。』峰曰J40nB475_p0049b05明日不得普請。』一個高高峰頂立不露頭一個深深J40nB475_p0049b06海底行不溼腳山僧則不然。」乃顧左右曰:「路遠夜長J40nB475_p0049b07休把火大家吹滅暗中行。」

晚參按拄杖:「進堂一七了也本參還破了也未J40nB475_p0049b09一任放曠於蝸角尖頭橫身於蟭螟眼裏拈兔角J40nB475_p0049b10而剝落鶻臭汗衫以龜毛而牽轉黑漆崑崙直饒恁J40nB475_p0049b11猶是作略邊事須知更有格外一機在策起眉毛J40nB475_p0049b12聽取一偈:『脊梁鐵鑄緊捏拳細究孃胎未出前忽爾J40nB475_p0049b13踏翻無縫罅峰頭浪湧潑中天。』」

晚參:「徑山示眾曰:『有一人一生修善有一人一生J40nB475_p0049b15造惡善者一日偶犯不與取戒惡者一念了悟自心J40nB475_p0049b16犯戒者即名為賊了悟者即名為佛二人同到徑山J40nB475_p0049b17著那一人即是著善人而卻惡人則是著賊而卻佛J40nB475_p0049b18著惡人而卻善人則是怕惡而欺善若二人俱著J40nB475_p0049b19賊不分若二人俱不著則善惡不明若決定指佛J40nB475_p0049b20是惡人則招謗佛之愆入地獄如箭射若指賊是善J40nB475_p0049b21未有善人而做賊者當人未具智眼在到者裡還J40nB475_p0049b22有斷得者麼若斷不得徑山為諸人斷卻賊是善人J40nB475_p0049b23佛是惡人做佛賊善惡人不出者兩個還會麼?』J40nB475_p0049b24拈拄杖面前畫一畫:『建昌紙貴一狀領過。』徑山無J40nB475_p0049b25端向善惡途中惑亂人家男女末後不得一狀領過J40nB475_p0049b26堪作甚麼若到南源未免喫棒有分。」遂豎拂子召眾J40nB475_p0049b27:「此是善耶惡耶佛耶賊耶?」揮拂子:「雲中石筍莖J40nB475_p0049b28莖嫩燄裏水花朵朵紅。」

晚參舉子胡看狗公案畢乃曰:「子胡狗子古今孰不J40nB475_p0049b30遭他毒口若遇南源待云:『看狗。』便好踏倒曰:『畜生J40nB475_p0049c01也不識。』免使逢人亂咬。」

大士誕日示眾。「鳥啼花笑入理深談竹韻松吟圓通J40nB475_p0049c09妙旨跨金獅於千峰頂上卻在十字街頭騎石虎於J40nB475_p0049c10十字街頭卻在千峰頂上不是神通亦非妙用諸人J40nB475_p0049c11信得及麼如不信問取觀音大士。」

戒壇示眾。「凜凜朔風紛紛瑞雪毘盧遮那凍破面門J40nB475_p0049c13清淨法身寒徹骨髓毘尼境界齊彰木叉家風大振J40nB475_p0049c14於斯會得撩衣護缽總屬千花臺藏開單展具無非J40nB475_p0049c15心地法門五篇七聚總是閒言輕重開遮悉歸剩語J40nB475_p0049c16其或未然……」拈袈裟:「者裏不得錯過。」

示眾:「金陵則監寺問青峰云:『如何是學人自?』J40nB475_p0049c18:『丙丁童子來求火。』後謁法眼舉前話眼云:『上座作J40nB475_p0049c19麼生會?』則曰:『丙丁屬火以火覓火如將自覓自。』J40nB475_p0049c20眼曰:『恁麼會又爭得?』則曰:『某甲只恁麼和尚作麼生?』J40nB475_p0049c21眼曰:『汝問我我為汝道。』則曰:『如何是學人自?』眼曰J40nB475_p0049c22丙丁童子來求火。』則於言下頓悟西峰玅曰:『者則公J40nB475_p0049c23自古至今覓一個不錯會底人如星中揀月秪如J40nB475_p0049c24則監寺於法眼言下悟去要且不是順硃具眼的J40nB475_p0049c25辨看。』」師呵呵大笑:「西峰老漢龍頭蛇尾直饒辨得J40nB475_p0049c26也是泥裡洗土塊。」

示眾:「七賢女同游屍阤林一女曰:『屍在者裡人在J40nB475_p0049c28甚麼處?』一女曰:『作麼作麼?』諸姊諦觀悉皆悟道感得J40nB475_p0049c29天帝釋散花供養女曰:『空中散花者何人?』:『某乃天J40nB475_p0049c30帝釋見諸姊悟道特來散花供養凡諸姊所需我皆J40nB475_p0050a01供給。』女曰:『我家四事七珍悉皆具足惟要三般物J40nB475_p0050a02要無根樹子一株要無陰陽地一片要叫不響J40nB475_p0050a03山谷一所。』釋曰:『一切珍寶我皆有之此三般物而我J40nB475_p0050a04實無。』女曰:『汝若無爭解濟人?』」師曰:「七賢女自不識羞J40nB475_p0050a05拋卻家中寶藏無端走在屍阤林裡嗅得些臭氣J40nB475_p0050a06嬌賣俏撒盡風流憍尸迦貪他小利被索三般物便J40nB475_p0050a07乃慳吝不捨未免取笑傍觀南源當時若在見伊恁J40nB475_p0050a08麼索即與三頓痛棒且看七賢女面皮安放何處?」

示眾。「南山鱉鼻蛇大雄山下虎圓通死貓頭雲門一J40nB475_p0050a10字普此意太郎當切忌莫莽鹵是事且置昨日有人J40nB475_p0050a11從廣西來今朝卻往湖廣去且道他所傳何事若有J40nB475_p0050a12信可通未免傳言送語若無信可通可惜空費草鞋J40nB475_p0050a13去此二途諸人試定當看。」
