J37nB401_p0773a02海內禪宗,激揚祖道者,代不之J37nB401_p0773a03人。若夫繼續心燈,親承密印,振J37nB401_p0773a04鐸斯世,闡發奧旨,播之語言文J37nB401_p0773a05字間,而一時緇白欽歸,而推重J37nB401_p0773a06其人,宣傳其言,相與尊之禮之,J37nB401_p0773a07以共稱揚於名勝之地。是當時J37nB401_p0773a08之善姓,固因言以傳其人,而不J37nB401_p0773a09知其人之實副於言,與人之有J37nB401_p0773a10補於名勝之地為之也。余宰沅J37nB401_p0773a11邑,歲經數易,所謂名山大川,所J37nB401_p0773a12稱善知識者,余嘗疑其以勝地J37nB401_p0773a13為郵舍,以說法為聲聞者有之,J37nB401_p0773a14猶未之過而扣焉。時有長明禪J37nB401_p0773a15師者,初遊龍泉山,相侍於穎秀J37nB401_p0773a16老人之門,勤修參悟,蓋以有得。J37nB401_p0773a17遽老人示寂後,師乃首立法幢J37nB401_p0773a18於澧之七星山,次豎剎竿於沅J37nB401_p0773b01之明山,復自沅歸辰,掃穎公塔。J37nB401_p0773b02返舟經浦市,而士庶耆老久聆J37nB401_p0773b03師德,茲幸質之,遂延入浦峰禪J37nB401_p0773b04寺,請主法席。雖人之遇合有機,J37nB401_p0773b05寺之興廢有數,師之行藏有地,J37nB401_p0773b06咸於此可概見矣。師自入是寺,J37nB401_p0773b07睹其殿閣樓臺,自經兵燹,盡屬J37nB401_p0773b08傾圮,遂令剃度弟子各領職事,J37nB401_p0773b09苦行募修,未及三年,百廢俱舉。J37nB401_p0773b10是師之有功於興廢,師之不以J37nB401_p0773b11勝地為郵舍也。殳寺成大觀,開J37nB401_p0773b12堂說法,出昔之所悟者達之於J37nB401_p0773b13言,即以今之所言者傳之於後,J37nB401_p0773b14相與登進後人,振醒蒙昧,一片J37nB401_p0773b15婆心,期披宣於生前,甚無已也。J37nB401_p0773b16未幾而師圓寂,遂塔於寺之左。J37nB401_p0773b17其嗣法門人法柱大師以所輯J37nB401_p0773b18請余為之序,余亦何以辨師之J37nB401_p0773c01行之有異而為之辭?緣訪之紳J37nB401_p0773c02衿耆老,稔述其人非復聲聞說J37nB401_p0773c03法、空言無補之可比也。余始取J37nB401_p0773c04其所著而閱之,見其言每從靜J37nB401_p0773c05悟中出,字字性宗,句句真偈。余J37nB401_p0773c06乃焚香遙禮,三復其語,心意豁J37nB401_p0773c07然,始知有真善知識在邇。惜哉!J37nB401_p0773c08覿面難逢,緣乎!緣乎!余用是服J37nB401_p0773c09其人之可傳,非僅傳夫言也,蓋J37nB401_p0773c10以服其人之有德於言,而言與J37nB401_p0773c11人之可並傳也。後之君子讀是J37nB401_p0773c12錄也,即師之語以思師之人,且J37nB401_p0773c13以思師之勞心於勝地,及終塔J37nB401_p0773c14於是地者,以思其語與人爾。浦J37nB401_p0773c15峰自是其不朽已,師之語錄獨J37nB401_p0773c16可斁歟?

J37nB401_p0774b02 J37nB401_p0774b03師在龍山受眾檀越請住辰州天雲山浦峰禪寺,於J37nB401_p0774b04康熙丁未歲九月一日入院。眾檀越請J37nB401_p0774b05上堂。僧問:「昔日靈山會上人天普集,世尊拈花示眾;J37nB401_p0774b06今朝浦峰寺裏海眾雲臻,且道和尚將何惠施?」師云:J37nB401_p0774b07「拄杖頭邊明歷歷。」進云:「學人腳跟點地去也。」師云:「好J37nB401_p0774b08與三十棒。」問:「佛未出世,祖未西來,且道還有佛法為J37nB401_p0774b09人麼?」師云:「諦聽,諦聽。」進云:「聽個甚麼?」師云:「知音不必J37nB401_p0774b10頻頻舉,達者須知暗裏驚。」進云:「金雞抱子歸青嶂,野J37nB401_p0774b11鶴穿雲出碧霄。」師云:「也要闍黎具隻眼。」乃云:「梵苑弘J37nB401_p0774b12開,慶雲結蓋,流通般若,舉唱宗乘,作不可思議奇特J37nB401_p0774b13事,成無量法門殊勝因。若能直下迥超聞見、透脫識J37nB401_p0774b14情,松風鳥語演不盡圓音,水綠山青現至真實相,法J37nB401_p0774b15法頭頭渾成大用,更不犯手傷鋒,須知建化門中有J37nB401_p0774b16坐斷天下人舌頭分。」驀拈拄杖召眾云:「且看浦峰門J37nB401_p0774b17下全明全暗、全放全收,舉止自在,不易絲毫。正當恁J37nB401_p0774b18麼時,且道人境相稱一句作麼生道?龍得水時添意J37nB401_p0774b19氣,虎逢山勢長威獰。」
J37nB401_p0774b20十月十五日,本郡眾護法請開爐,上堂。J37nB401_p0774b21指法座,云:「者個寶華王,覿面相呈,本無向背。」擊一下,J37nB401_p0774b22云:「敲開正眼,腦後見腮。」遂陞座。拈香,云:「此瓣香,根培J37nB401_p0774b23地厚,幹挺天高。金枝懸日月之光,照臨萬象;玉葉吐J37nB401_p0774b24山河之秀,覆幬八荒。熱向爐中,恭為J37nB401_p0774b25今上皇帝祝嚴聖壽,萬歲!萬歲!萬萬歲!伏願皇基等J37nB401_p0774b26南山之固,帝德齊北極之尊。此瓣香,威音那畔,正體J37nB401_p0774b27全彰,朕兆未分,通身顯露。奉為闔國文武公卿、當道J37nB401_p0774b28勳貴、縉紳文學,伏願功著唐虞之日,位重三台;力振J37nB401_p0774b29佛祖之風,名高八座。此瓣香,大爐韝中幾回煆煉,智J37nB401_p0774b30竭情枯,一朝契證,惡辣手中得來,逢人觸發生燄,今J37nB401_p0774c01為酉陽龍山虎谿堂上傳臨濟正脈第三十三世穎J37nB401_p0774c02秀和尚,以酬法乳之恩。伏願生生為人天眼目,世世J37nB401_p0774c03作佛祖鉗錘。」乃攝衣就座。維那白槌,云:「法筵龍象眾,J37nB401_p0774c04當觀第一義。」師豎拂子,云:「第一義諦,耳聞目擊。若向J37nB401_p0774c05聲色堆頭薦得,已落二三;若離聲色堆頭薦得,落七J37nB401_p0774c06落八。且二途不涉,作麼生湊泊?久參上士出眾激揚。」J37nB401_p0774c07僧問:「者個消息,前無形,後無影,向甚麼處搆取?」師云:J37nB401_p0774c08「鼻孔大頭向下垂。」進云:「頭頂青天,腳踏實地去也。」師J37nB401_p0774c09云:「直須看腳下。」問:「坐具蓋覆恒沙界,拄杖撐開劫外J37nB401_p0774c10天,猶是門外風光,未審如何是今日正令?」師打,云:「且J37nB401_p0774c11將此意為君通。」進云:「棒頭痛徹通身快,不落尋常第J37nB401_p0774c12二機。」師云:「闍黎具個什麼眼?」僧便喝,師復打,乃云:「選J37nB401_p0774c13佛場開,人天普集,門庭孤峻,不設階梯。言外承當者,J37nB401_p0774c14早已途轍;機前負荷者,猶涉簾纖。要且升堂不許挑J37nB401_p0774c15燈,入室不勞撥火,目前萬法,本自如如,隨緣不變,處J37nB401_p0774c16鬧常寧。卷舒自在,氣宇吞空,寶劍橫抽,全行正令。闡J37nB401_p0774c17大機,發大用,提持佛祖鉗鎚,開鑿人天眼目,共助無J37nB401_p0774c18為之化,用酬不報之恩。大眾!茲值時豐道泰,海晏河J37nB401_p0774c19清,開堂祝聖一句作麼生道?五分香雲五色瑞,萬年J37nB401_p0774c20天子萬方寧。」復白槌,云:「諦觀法王法,法王法如是。」下J37nB401_p0774c21座。
J37nB401_p0774c22上堂。問:「如何是奪人不奪境?」師云:「兩眼看青山。」進云:J37nB401_p0774c23「如何是奪境不奪人?」師云:「通身無一物。」進云:「如何是J37nB401_p0774c24人境兩俱奪?」師云:「晴空無片雲。」進云:「如何是人境俱J37nB401_p0774c25不奪?」師云:「松下閒趺坐。」進云:「秪如黑白未分,無人無J37nB401_p0774c26境,何處辯親切?」師豎拄杖,云:「高著眼。」問:「橫按莫邪時J37nB401_p0774c27如何?」師便打。進云:「未犯鋒鋩時如何?」師云:「早已血腥J37nB401_p0774c28遍地了也。」進云:「忍痛不徹,不放過和尚時如何?」師云:J37nB401_p0774c29「未是闍黎作用。」乃云:「掀翻末後一著,坐斷毘盧頂門;J37nB401_p0774c30撥轉向上一機,裂破祖師鼻孔。洞視渺邈,囊括十虛,J37nB401_p0775a01設使文殊大智莫測端由、普賢威神失其境界,到者J37nB401_p0775a02裏添一些子如眼中著刺、減一些子似肉上剜瘡,便J37nB401_p0775a03見陸地平沉,豈有佛法商量者哉?今日山僧不免從J37nB401_p0775a04猛虎穴中奪子、獰龍項下解珠。」豎拂子,云:「三世諸佛J37nB401_p0775a05在者裏放大光明,諸人見麼?」復以拂子擊禪床,云:「歷J37nB401_p0775a06代祖師在者裏轉大法輪,諸人聞麼?若也見得透、聞J37nB401_p0775a07得徹,古今盡在目前,凡聖同歸一致,山河大地總顯J37nB401_p0775a08真常。拈起也,萬機齊赴;放下也,十聖潛蹤。只如不拈、J37nB401_p0775a09不放又是何人境界?還委悉麼?古佛本身元獨露,堂J37nB401_p0775a10堂直下絕纖塵。」
J37nB401_p0775a11上堂。問:「座上獅子吼,格外展宗風,如何是親切句?」師J37nB401_p0775a12云:「鼻直眼橫。」進云:「如何是全體作用?」師劈頭一棒,僧J37nB401_p0775a13擬開口,師復打。問:「狼煙掃盡,大地清寧,祖令高提,弘J37nB401_p0775a14機獨振。如何是利物興慈句?」師云:「人人共睹此時風。」J37nB401_p0775a15進云:「如何是轉凡成聖句?」師震威一喝。進云:「恁麼即J37nB401_p0775a16心空及第歸去也。」師云:「秪恐不是玉。」乃云:「脫體無依J37nB401_p0775a17徹骨貧,秪因自肯乃方親,寥寥意外渾無物,綠水青J37nB401_p0775a18山共此身。如是則知會萬物為己者,其唯聖人乎?所J37nB401_p0775a19以道:我有時見山不是山、見水不是水、見男不是男、J37nB401_p0775a20見女不是女、見色不是色、見空不是空,我有時見山J37nB401_p0775a21是山、見水是水、見男是男、見女是女、見色是色、見空J37nB401_p0775a22是空。若向者裏會得,明暗同歸一轍、收放總共一源,J37nB401_p0775a23諸緣無以階梯、萬象不能覆藏,一語一默、一動一靜,J37nB401_p0775a24皆衲僧巴鼻。且不涉語默動靜一句作麼生道?萬里J37nB401_p0775a25山河收眼裏,十方世界契本真。」
J37nB401_p0775a26上堂。「者個極則事,三世諸佛有口難開,歷代祖師全J37nB401_p0775a27提不起,一大藏教詮註不及,今日說個甚麼?山僧自J37nB401_p0775a28揣口門窄,只好引則古人因緣以酬所請。」舉:「藥山久J37nB401_p0775a29不陞座,院主請為眾說法,山令打鼓陞座,良久下座。J37nB401_p0775a30院主白云:『大眾久思法誨,因甚一詞不措?』山云:『經有J37nB401_p0775b01經師,論有論師,爭怪得老僧?』」師云:「藥山老漢可謂光J37nB401_p0775b02前絕後,把斷要津,爭奈知恩者少,負恩者多?若是山J37nB401_p0775b03僧則不然,或有人問道:『因甚一詞不措?』秪對他道:『不J37nB401_p0775b04可向虛空裏掘洞。』待伊擬議,正好劈脊亂棒打出,不J37nB401_p0775b05惟與天下衲僧抽釘拔楔,亦且流通正眼。大眾!還委J37nB401_p0775b06悉麼?龍袖拂開全體現,象王行處絕狐蹤。」
J37nB401_p0775b07值雪,上堂。問:「天地不能蓋載,日月不能照臨,且道是J37nB401_p0775b08何人境界?」師云:「名不得,狀不得。」進云:「今日是何境界?」J37nB401_p0775b09師云:「別有風光一段奇。」進云:「明日又是何境界?」師云:J37nB401_p0775b10「退後看。」進云:「看個甚麼?」師打云:「看明日境界」。乃云:「東J37nB401_p0775b11西南北通同,前後左右透徹,突出無孔鐵鎚,觸碎虛J37nB401_p0775b12空竅穴,驚起他藤六神,無處覓藏身訣。」喝一喝,云:「卻J37nB401_p0775b13被山僧一喝,大降彌天瑞雪,忽然宇宙同源,俄爾乾J37nB401_p0775b14坤一色,鐵龍轉見威猛,石虎重增挺特,宛然一段風J37nB401_p0775b15光,古今目前親切。浦峰看取分明,告報兩堂禪德,不J37nB401_p0775b16被前境相謾,關山了無阻隔,直下略自返觀,諸相一J37nB401_p0775b17齊勦絕,廓然腦後見腮,坐斷十方差別,凍得布袋和J37nB401_p0775b18尚撫掌呵呵太悅。且道他悅個甚麼?心生大歡喜,自J37nB401_p0775b19知當作佛。」
J37nB401_p0775b20佛成道日,上堂。問:「世尊未睹明星時如何?」師云:「眉橫J37nB401_p0775b21眼上。」進云:「睹明星後如何?」師云:「眼橫眉下。」進云:「本來J37nB401_p0775b22者一著,了了太分明,為甚麼卻有悟不悟?」師云:「只為J37nB401_p0775b23太分明。」乃云:「頂門具眼,千聖無以等階;腦後見腮,十J37nB401_p0775b24方從此坐斷。堂堂無回互,一一絕羅籠,今日浦峰不J37nB401_p0775b25惜眉毛,普為諸人點破。」驀豎拄杖,云:「向者裏透脫得J37nB401_p0775b26去,正好不向佛求、不向法求、不向僧求,人人本有、個J37nB401_p0775b27個圓成,蠢動舍靈悉皆具足。豈不見?釋迦老子初出J37nB401_p0775b28母胎,指天指地,便道:『唯吾獨尊。』八字打開,早已分付J37nB401_p0775b29了也。復向雪山睹明星,嘆:『奇哉!』又是一番漏逗。若是J37nB401_p0775b30個出群漢,一眼覷透,便見玉轉珠回處壁立萬仞、壁J37nB401_p0775c01立萬仞處玉轉珠回,可以拈兔角杖攪長河為酥酪、J37nB401_p0775c02用龜毛拂變大地作黃金,豈待後來四十九年、三百J37nB401_p0775c03餘會,重重入泥入水,堪作甚麼?雖然如是,現前若有J37nB401_p0775c04羅籠不住、呼喚不回的,向未鳴鐘鼓之際、未出方▆J37nB401_p0775c05之先撩起便行,山僧合掌讚嘆不及。何故?寒山逢拾J37nB401_p0775c06得,轉笑轉相親。」
J37nB401_p0775c07元霄,上堂。問:「梅花開雪裏,臘去復春來,如何是不涉J37nB401_p0775c08新舊句?」師云:「年年此日,歲歲今朝。」進云:「有意氣時添J37nB401_p0775c09意氣,不風流處也風流。」師云:「向甚處添得許多光彩J37nB401_p0775c10來?」乃云:「今霄共賞太平年,露柱燈籠盡快然,盡力若J37nB401_p0775c11能挑撥轉,光明滿眼照無邊。且道:那裏是挑撥處?莫J37nB401_p0775c12不是三世諸佛說下一大藏教、歷代祖師說心說性、J37nB401_p0775c13論事論理是挑撥處麼?料掉沒交涉。莫不是臨濟行J37nB401_p0775c14棒行喝、雲門說露說普、曹洞立君立臣、溈仰分體分J37nB401_p0775c15用、法眼指物指心是挑撥處麼?料掉沒交涉。莫不是J37nB401_p0775c16諸人日用尋常中穿衣喫飯、屙屎放尿、運轉施為是J37nB401_p0775c17挑撥處麼?料掉沒交涉。莫不是今日監寺營齋,普請J37nB401_p0775c18諸人著衣持缽、三匙五觀是挑撥處麼?料掉沒交涉。J37nB401_p0775c19既總沒交涉,作麼生是挑撥處?」以拄杖指云:「我見燈J37nB401_p0775c20明佛,本光瑞如此。」
J37nB401_p0775c21解制,上堂。問:「把斷要津,不通凡聖;解開布袋,一任縱J37nB401_p0775c22橫。把住解開即不問,超宗越格事如何?」師云:「自有▆J37nB401_p0775c23群作略。」進云:「三祗鍊就金剛種,一旦新開般若花,且J37nB401_p0775c24道作用在甚麼處?」師云:「拄杖橫肩不顧人。」進云:「驊騮J37nB401_p0775c25不待窺鞭影,快俊追風過九逵。」師云:「猶未唧溜在。」乃J37nB401_p0775c26云:「九旬盡地為牢,個個在裏許東涌西沒、左轉右旋,J37nB401_p0775c27任性逍遙,優游自在,只得千差坐斷,分明一體同然,J37nB401_p0775c28有甚麼結?有甚麼解?若解丹霄獨步,何防宇宙橫身?J37nB401_p0775c29且出門慶賞一句作麼生道?芒鞋腳底龍蛇活,拄杖J37nB401_p0775c30頭邊日月懸。」
住澧州七星山菩提禪院
J37nB401_p0776a02上堂。僧問:「一天光影重重見,照徹山河萬象全。如何J37nB401_p0776a03是七星境?」師云:「蒼松夾曉嶂,瀑布挂寒嚴。」進云:「如何J37nB401_p0776a04是境中人?」師云:「掃雲開曲徑,掬水入深溪。」進云:「人境J37nB401_p0776a05俱蒙師指示,常陽一著事如何?」師云:「眼上眉毛分八J37nB401_p0776a06字。」進云:「觸目無非向上機。」師云:「森羅萬象絕疏親。」乃J37nB401_p0776a07云:「靈光獨耀,迥脫根塵,離相離名,蓋天蓋地。既然內J37nB401_p0776a08絕淆訛,要且外無點翳,無一物不彰大用,無一法不J37nB401_p0776a09顯真乘,了了更無回互,堂堂覿面相呈。今朝四眾強J37nB401_p0776a10請山僧登曲彔木床,未免當陽指出。」乃豎拂子,云:「屋J37nB401_p0776a11後青山疊疊,門前綠水澄澄,左看竹影參差,右聽松J37nB401_p0776a12聲歷落,總是山僧拈來拂子頭上,七縱八橫,無同無J37nB401_p0776a13異。然雖如是,且超聲越色一句作麼生道?萬仞巖前J37nB401_p0776a14能撤手,千峰頂上現全身。」
住沅州明山太和禪院
J37nB401_p0776a16上堂。僧問:「塞卻鼻孔,坐斷舌頭,作麼生出氣?」師云:「頂J37nB401_p0776a17門上七縱八橫。」進云:「取用時如何?」師云:「腳跟下玉轉J37nB401_p0776a18珠回。」僧便禮拜,師乃云:「芷水年年綠,明山歲歲青,廓J37nB401_p0776a19然空劫外,何處有遷更?如是,則知天地同根,萬物一J37nB401_p0776a20體,凡聖一源,古今一道,人人壁立萬仞,個個常光現J37nB401_p0776a21前,不假修為,本來成現。雖然如是,即今椎鐘擂鼓,四J37nB401_p0776a22眾雲臻,虎驟龍驤,當機𨁝跳,還有空劫已前消息也J37nB401_p0776a23無?」良久,云:「但見落花隨水去,不知流出洞中春。」
J37nB401_p0776a24上堂。一僧纔出,師云:「止止不須說,我法妙難思。」僧拂J37nB401_p0776a25坐具,師便喝,僧亦喝,師便打。又一僧出云:「某甲禮拜J37nB401_p0776a26是?不禮拜是?」師拈棒云:「山僧打即是?不打即是?」僧退J37nB401_p0776a27後三步,進前三步,師云:「不是,不是。」乃云:「今朝衲子當J37nB401_p0776a28機,一味棒喝齊施,不是強生枝節,要人翻轉面皮。眾J37nB401_p0776a29中還有翻轉者麼?如無,且看木上座自翻轉去也。」擲J37nB401_p0776a30拄杖,下座。
J37nB401_p0776b01為道徹胡居士披剃,上堂。「瞿曇昔日棄皇宮,道徹今J37nB401_p0776b02朝辭俗業,時節古今雖不同,轉身要且路無別。大眾!J37nB401_p0776b03還識轉身路也麼?」卓拄杖,云:「入此大解脫門,遊此大J37nB401_p0776b04莊嚴路,目前萬別千差,直下一刀兩段,更無遮欄,更J37nB401_p0776b05無回互,如杲日麗天,似明鏡當臺,羅籠不肯住,呼喚J37nB401_p0776b06不回頭,直向千聖叢中下腳,孤峰頂上橫眠,何必七J37nB401_p0776b07日斂念,相見別峰,樓閣門開,方參慈氏?如是氣宇,堪J37nB401_p0776b08出三界之家,堪報四重之恩。雖然如是,且諸佛道場、J37nB401_p0776b09祖師門下畢竟作麼生行履?」喝一喝,云:「將此身心奉J37nB401_p0776b10塵剎,是則名為報佛恩。」
示眾
J37nB401_p0776b12師云:「諸人若欲究本窮源,只須識取自心,不可受一J37nB401_p0776b13切諸境所惑,一動一靜處、尋常作用處,截斷人我,脫J37nB401_p0776b14去是非。凡遇順逆境緣,此心寂然靈然,不變不動,猶J37nB401_p0776b15若虛空,一切時中心不間斷。若能如是,即塵勞而得J37nB401_p0776b16解脫,即煩惱以證菩提。不見石頭和尚一日問龐居J37nB401_p0776b17士曰:『子自見老僧以來,日用事作麼生?』士以偈荅曰:J37nB401_p0776b18『日用事無別,唯吾自偶諧。頭頭非取捨,處處沒張乖。J37nB401_p0776b19朱紫誰為號?丘山絕點埃。神通并妙用,運水及搬柴。』J37nB401_p0776b20頭乃然之。敢問諸人:浦峰者裏日日搬柴運水,動轉J37nB401_p0776b21施為,且道是神通妙用?不是神通妙用?若道是神通J37nB401_p0776b22妙用,正是頭上安頭;若道不是神通妙用,又是斬頭J37nB401_p0776b23覓活。試定當看。若定當得,可以彈指收功,剎那證聖;J37nB401_p0776b24其或未然,萬古碧潭空界月,再三撈摝始應知。」
J37nB401_p0776b25示眾。云:「春生夏長,秋收冬藏,四時遷改,萬彙無常。」驀J37nB401_p0776b26呈拄杖,云:「惟有我木上座卻甚奇特,迥出無遷無改J37nB401_p0776b27之外,不墮萬彙無常之中,終日淨裸裸、沒可把,赤條J37nB401_p0776b28條、無回互,顯大妙用、發大神通,或縱、或奪,或抬、或搦,J37nB401_p0776b29有時教伊揚眉瞬目、有時不教伊揚眉瞬目,有時教J37nB401_p0776b30伊揚眉瞬目是、有時教伊揚眉瞬目不是。汝等諸人J37nB401_p0776c01還識得麼?若識得,超生死於剎那、轉玄機於當下,妙J37nB401_p0776c02體無私、圓光匪外,山河大地獨露真常、埜水雲林宣J37nB401_p0776c03明妙法,塵塵剎剎齊歸顧盻之中、物物頭頭盡入智J37nB401_p0776c04鑑之內,佛佛祖祖安有不從此契證者哉?大眾!拄杖J37nB401_p0776c05子恁麼竭力告報,汝等還委悉麼?」驀豎拄杖,云:「能為J37nB401_p0776c06萬象主,不逐四時凋。」喝一喝,拽拄杖歸方丈。
J37nB401_p0776c07示眾。云:「八字打開一著奇,回光自照緊參疑,勿隨愛J37nB401_p0776c08欲渣滓轉,休逐攀緣妄境馳。善惡兩頭都泯絕,尋常J37nB401_p0776c09一念莫遷移,忙閒惺覺通歸體,動靜虛靈總是伊。是J37nB401_p0776c10聖是凡情坐斷,無人無我意堪持,廓然拶著泥團破,J37nB401_p0776c11便見娘生舊面皮。物物現成真妙用,頭頭如是白天J37nB401_p0776c12機,了明向上玄中旨,始信山僧不惜眉。」
J37nB401_p0776c13除夕,示眾。云:「流光一度奄然過,保任泥牛事若何?性J37nB401_p0776c14海深澄應自徹,心珠無垢不須磨。樹鳴鳥語穿崖谷,J37nB401_p0776c15花吐春風燦薜蘿。耳目洞超聲色外,但饒舌處總禪J37nB401_p0776c16那。」
J37nB401_p0776c17眾乞開示。師云:「釋迦老子唯以一大事因緣故出現J37nB401_p0776c18於世,欲令一切眾生開佛知見、示佛知見、悟佛知見、J37nB401_p0776c19入佛知見,且作麼生是佛之知見?作麼生開示?作麼J37nB401_p0776c20生悟入?」驀拈拄杖云:「唯此一事實,餘二則非真。大眾!J37nB401_p0776c21若向者裏見得真、知得的,步步腳踏實地,心心契證J37nB401_p0776c22真常,頭頭顯至真之妙諦,物物明般若之玄機,可謂J37nB401_p0776c23明通正法眼,遍界轉光輝。只為無始劫來習氣深厚,J37nB401_p0776c24故有迷悟差殊、聖凡不等,迷者一向逐外馳求,認假J37nB401_p0776c25迷真,妄分他境,隨境生情,發邪亂知見,翳於覺心,立J37nB401_p0776c26幻化色身,謬為他法,所以智隔體殊,汩沒塵寰流浪,J37nB401_p0776c27種種之苦無有了期,遂爾做個忘家失業之子,甘受J37nB401_p0776c28伶俜辛苦。若具大根器、秉大信力,纔聞舉著便達本J37nB401_p0776c29源,觀三世平等、一道清虛,不涉階級即證真常,不厭J37nB401_p0776c30塵勞、不取寂滅,無凡可捨、無聖可求,此則各為頓悟J37nB401_p0777a01之門。近來負缽擔囊、登山涉水,或見一個半個善知J37nB401_p0777a02識,不肯勵志,久受鉗鎚,做來做去,多生疲懈,退失初J37nB401_p0777a03心,返說禪道,無有靈驗。所以先德云:『佛法無多子,久J37nB401_p0777a04長難得人。』山僧向來每每與汝等盤桓,必要諸人發J37nB401_p0777a05明此段大事,秉般若慧劍,斬斷妄識之絲纏,具頂門J37nB401_p0777a06正眼,入解脫無礙之知見,人人鼻孔遼天,個個腳跟J37nB401_p0777a07點地,隨方如龍得水,在處似虎靠山,任運縱橫,無拘J37nB401_p0777a08無繫,始是得大安樂,得大自在也。若是機思遲鈍,正J37nB401_p0777a09好將本參話頭貼在眉尖上,疑之又疑。此疑不是別J37nB401_p0777a10尋修習,即在日用中穿衣喫飯處、屙屎放尿處、動靜J37nB401_p0777a11忙閒處、坐臥經行處、掉頭舉足處、聞聲見色處,回光J37nB401_p0777a12自照,時刻不放,日益日新,打成一片,通身遍身是個J37nB401_p0777a13疑情,志泯心灰,前後際斷,人法雙忘,忽地漆桶掀翻,J37nB401_p0777a14豁開正眼,始知日是金烏,月是玉兔,秤鎚原是鐵鑄,J37nB401_p0777a15磚瓦本是泥成,原來與佛祖同一知見,共一鼻孔出J37nB401_p0777a16氣,同一真實受用,無二無別。到者裏說個如來,欲令J37nB401_p0777a17眾生入佛知見,祖師西來直指單傳,早是曲了也。山J37nB401_p0777a18僧今日傾心吐膽,據實論量,汝等諸人當思韶光易J37nB401_p0777a19邁,歲月如流,大事未明,寸陰可惜,急發大志,高出人J37nB401_p0777a20一頭地可也。惟望辦取,各宜珍重。」

示淨參禪人
J37nB401_p0780a02者著子,在聖不增,處凡不減,一見一聞,妙體圓光,匪J37nB401_p0780a03內匪外。古德云:「百千法門不離方寸,河沙妙德總在J37nB401_p0780a04心源。」汝若未會,可將本參話頭密密提撕,忽地冷灰J37nB401_p0780a05豆爆,原來見處聞處總不隔礙。偈曰:個中見處見非J37nB401_p0780a06見,就裏聞聲聞不聞。隨處見聞無別物,明明獨露法J37nB401_p0780a07王身。
示止岸禪人
J37nB401_p0780a09即心即佛,無容擬議絲毫;非心非佛,不用別處尋討。J37nB401_p0780a10直饒討得,也是依他作解,尋常日用,舉動施為,無不J37nB401_p0780a11承此恩力,無不秉此威光。唯在一念不生,前後際斷,J37nB401_p0780a12不落情識意想,超出知解見聞,迥然透脫,惟一清虛,J37nB401_p0780a13則通身無影相,遍界不曾藏,頭頭法法,大用現前,拈J37nB401_p0780a14一莖草現丈六金身,將丈六金身現一莖草上。爾輩J37nB401_p0780a15隨吾杖頭有年,急須勵志操履,學識不群,見地明敏,J37nB401_p0780a16養得如獃如癡,證入文殊、普賢大人境界,只待霜露J37nB401_p0780a17果熟,方提持向上一著,紹續祖風,規繩後學,從自己J37nB401_p0780a18胸中流出,蓋天蓋地,受用豈有窮極耶?勉旃。
示大徹胡居士
J37nB401_p0780a20佛祖出世,特為此段大事因緣,欲令人人回光自照,J37nB401_p0780a21直下大悟大徹,剋證本源自性法身。今上人者,號曰J37nB401_p0780a22大徹。蓋大者,法身浩大,充滿法界,應遍恒沙佛國;徹J37nB401_p0780a23者,智鑑照徹,頭頭上顯,物物上明,隨處作主,遇緣即J37nB401_p0780a24宗,縱橫妙用,一概無私。向者裏識得大徹之旨,說甚J37nB401_p0780a25麼在家出家、分別同異哉?所謂百千法門、無量妙義,J37nB401_p0780a26惟在一毛頭上識得根源。若識得一毛頭上根源,便J37nB401_p0780a27是步步踏著實地,頭頭顯露真常,可以與維摩居士J37nB401_p0780a28共一鼻孔出氣。但居士一片誠念護持山埜,予豈不J37nB401_p0780a29以直心相酬?八字打開,無背無向,只要居士覿面承J37nB401_p0780a30當,薦得分明。其或未然,正好將個萬法歸一,一歸何J37nB401_p0780b01處?蘊在胸中,猶如一柄利劍相似,不容是非鋒起,纔J37nB401_p0780b02有起處,一劍斬斷。只將此個話頭疑著,疑來疑去,動J37nB401_p0780b03靜忙閒,打成一片,疑到那人忘情絕、志泯心灰,忽然J37nB401_p0780b04大夢覺來,始知者著弗從人得,本自固有家珍,方信J37nB401_p0780b05法身大也、智鑑徹也,覿體全彰,無藏無覆,觸著磕著,J37nB401_p0780b06總是神通妙用。到者裏,管教受用不盡,快活平生。
示我靜趙居士
J37nB401_p0780b08一見一聞,更莫別尋。明明至道,歷歷天真。縱橫妙用,J37nB401_p0780b09無不現成。勤加精進,勿染貪嗔。諸緣截斷,體究無生。J37nB401_p0780b10其志愈固,其道愈親。閒忙動靜,一片純真。洞開正眼,J37nB401_p0780b11本自圓成。靈光獨耀,迥脫根塵。頭頭上顯,物物上明。J37nB401_p0780b12芬芳垂露,菊藥生雲。山搖翠色,鳥唱玄音。滿眼滿耳,J37nB401_p0780b13非色非聲。咄,高著眼,莫自謾。識得者些消息子,無邊J37nB401_p0780b14法界我為尊。
示雲棲胡居士
J37nB401_p0780b16大道洞然,本無愚智,貴在自己腳跟立穩,行之不疑,J37nB401_p0780b17守之不易,如此日益日新,故曰:操則存,捨則亡耳。但J37nB401_p0780b18居士一段英銳夙熏智種,雖處塵緣,慕道心切,終不J37nB401_p0780b19被情雲愛水埋溺靈根,可謂就塵勞而作佛事,即煩J37nB401_p0780b20惱以證菩提。山埜所以只要居士更進一步,直下親J37nB401_p0780b21切,頂門具眼,勿外馳求,好向自己六根門頭內回光J37nB401_p0780b22洞照,一一究研精奧,時節到來,心花發燦,八面玲瓏,J37nB401_p0780b23始知黃花翠竹灼然意氣全彰,綠水青山悉是當人J37nB401_p0780b24受用,頭頭合道,物物皆真,觸目逢緣,總歸快樂。如斯J37nB401_p0780b25信得及,彌勒、釋迦盡在者裏,更無別法也。珍重。
示恒智文居士
J37nB401_p0780b27學道之士,唯在竭志出大信力,知有向上一著,本真J37nB401_p0780b28妙圓,蕩然虛寂,從無始劫來,曾不間隔。至於日用二J37nB401_p0780b29六時中,舉動施為,全憑此大機要。若能直下透脫,不J37nB401_p0780b30與千聖同途,不其諸塵作對,唯是湛若虛空,凝然不J37nB401_p0780c01動,觀生死去來,如夢如幻,豈有彼我是非得失計較J37nB401_p0780c02耶?誠患信門不堅,腳跟不穩,不能徹證。直須當下超J37nB401_p0780c03脫意想情識,一念無為,萬緣截斷,胸中潔潔淨淨,蕩J37nB401_p0780c04然脫灑,隨處作主,遇緣即宗,物物頭頭,皆自天真妙J37nB401_p0780c05用,佛法世法,總成一片,獨耀堂堂,金剛正體,此乃解J37nB401_p0780c06脫截徑,即塵勞而入佛界矣。
示恒遠彭居士
J37nB401_p0780c08熏風乍拂,梅雨初收,新荷開一池之綠,細雨拖兩岸J37nB401_p0780c09之青,山花鳥語一一顯露者個消息,不假文字語言J37nB401_p0780c10而自具足現成矣。我恒遠彭居士得大信力,更乞山J37nB401_p0780c11埜一言以勵精進之志。予曰:「此個法門本無言說相,J37nB401_p0780c12盡力吐不出個元字腳來,只如行到銀山鐵壁處作J37nB401_p0780c13麼生轉身?」聊拈一偈以進之:看取山雲水月情,人人J37nB401_p0780c14鼻直兩眉橫,還將兔角拈為杖,擊得虛空嚗嚗聲。
示唐居士
J37nB401_p0780c16靈山拈花微笑,少室斷臂安心,無非直截提持,當人J37nB401_p0780c17本地風光,不假修證,不從人得,是凡是聖,無欠無餘,J37nB401_p0780c18或動或靜,皆承此個恩力,雖在日用間而不自覺也。J37nB401_p0780c19今居士夙因不忘,靈機不昧,初以念佛為業,信入有J37nB401_p0780c20年,後來浦峰乞授戒法,要明向上一事,果能腳跟穩J37nB401_p0780c21當,披衣自看,忽然看得衣珠朗瑩,始知拈花微笑、斷J37nB401_p0780c22臂安心猶是無事生事。何故?我從本已來成佛舊矣。
送別懶木禪友
J37nB401_p0780c24頂門拶破一輪紅,機用超群迥不同,萬仞巖前垂隻J37nB401_p0780c25手,千峰頂上現全功。操持臨濟金剛劍,吞吐楊岐栗J37nB401_p0780c26棘蓬,任是銅頭鐵額者,收歸大冶爐韝中。
贈明山法柱上座

J37nB401_p0782c23為法輪禪人起龕。「觸目菩提,絕無真偽,來亦無來,去J37nB401_p0782c24亦無去,昨夜泥牛海底行,今朝石虎高插翅。」遂拽杖J37nB401_p0782c25引行。舉火炬,云:「煙霧飄飄籠大地,雨花片片散長空,J37nB401_p0782c26壁間驚徹龍飛起,萬別千差一路通。」攛下,云:「烈焰光J37nB401_p0782c27中無一髮,人間天上總清風。」
J37nB401_p0782c28為澹泊禪師下火。「閒雲澹蕩,出沒太虛,正體凝然,一J37nB401_p0782c29塵不立。伏惟大方閣澹泊禪師所得真誠,用處俊拔,J37nB401_p0782c30來去關頭,坐斷廓然,當體無依,末後一著,不帶皮膚,J37nB401_p0783a01惟存真實。」舉火炬云:「還見真實處麼?」攛下云:「萬里無J37nB401_p0783a02雲不肯住,三賢十聖一時超。」
重修酉陽天雲山浦峰寺序
J37nB401_p0783a04三楚之上,五溪之中,天雲寶山,浦峰禪院,真龍象蟠J37nB401_p0783a05居之所,乃檀那積福之場。天然蒼古,不假鑿為。錦江J37nB401_p0783a06玉浪,長迎大覺之門;翠嶂雲山,盡拱螺峰之頂。松風J37nB401_p0783a07鳥語,頌不二之圓音;草樹村疇,現至真之實相。山花J37nB401_p0783a08蘿月,篆不彫之心印;樵歌漁唱,顯不說之真常。珠樹J37nB401_p0783a09玲瓏,錫飛近鶴;清江繚繞,缽出潛龍。不啻鷲嶺巍峨,J37nB401_p0783a10境培祗園壯麗。堪嗟烽煙變運,難為見聞。珠宮紺殿,J37nB401_p0783a11困荊棘之圍;月相金人,遭塗炭之慘。花墮淚而庭荒J37nB401_p0783a12鴉亂,雲封樹而徑冷苔生。黠鼠每居廚積,妖狐恒驟J37nB401_p0783a13雲堂。幸我朝定鼎以來,皇風蕩蕩,帝道平平,欲將梵J37nB401_p0783a14剎再整,般若弘通。或現宰官居士,惟願不忘靈山附J37nB401_p0783a15囑,大家齊出手眼。扶整法席,名傳萬古清高;追復古J37nB401_p0783a16風,聲播千秋大雅。施金施粟,無非大事因緣;助棟助J37nB401_p0783a17梁,悉是當人受用。信得及,正好大破慳囊;見得透,不J37nB401_p0783a18妨鋪花錦上。莫謂善財一去,杳無消息;他時春來門J37nB401_p0783a19外,芳草自青。急須直下承當,慎勿覿面錯過。謹序。

J37nB401_p0783a21公諱性炅,號長明,蜀東涪陵石氏子也。有嗣法門人J37nB401_p0783a22法柱求銘於予,以為久長記。予按公行實,幼年禮極J37nB401_p0783a23初老宿剃落,復從渤水法師習大乘經論。公昔年曾J37nB401_p0783a24遇象崖和尚,知有此事,雖看教中語言,知非極則,迺J37nB401_p0783a25上黔中思南東山參穎秀悟和尚,直叩濟北宗旨。公J37nB401_p0783a26立願不睡,夜靜坐間,忽然如人拍一掌相似,不覺通J37nB401_p0783a27身汗下。一日,悟上堂,公出問:「上無佛道可成,下無眾J37nB401_p0783a28生可度,是何人境界?請和尚道破。」悟云:「高高處觀之J37nB401_p0783a29不足,低低處平之有餘。」公云:「千差萬別,不出者裏。」悟J37nB401_p0783a30云:「切莫錯認。」公便喝,悟云:「者一喝落在什麼處?」公云:J37nB401_p0783b01「當陽突出已相呈。」悟云:「卻是闍黎道破。」悟行道楚之J37nB401_p0783b02西陽,公侍悟同住辰州龍山,任維那事,紀綱龍象,日J37nB401_p0783b03夕激揚,聲名大振。以帥眾多年,志欲居山,悟付曹溪J37nB401_p0783b04正脈。公出龍山,行到澧州慈利,值大休禪師、道徹胡J37nB401_p0783b05居士、我靜趙居士延住七星山,瞻仰道範,俱生喜躍。J37nB401_p0783b06感悟夙因,轍請開法,聞公垂示,得未曾有。時沅州聆J37nB401_p0783b07公道望,請住明山,公隨機開導,闔郡皆親槌拂。康熙J37nB401_p0783b08丁未,歸龍山,掃悟和尚塔。復上沅江,過浦市,鄉紳士J37nB401_p0783b09庶耆舊歸宗,特虛浦峰法席,請主其事。蓋浦峰自宋J37nB401_p0783b10嘉定年開刱,屢經兵燹,殿閣樓臺漸成傾圮,公力為J37nB401_p0783b11重建。時有剃度弟子百餘人,各領職事,交相肘腋,未J37nB401_p0783b12及三年,百廢俱興,頓成大觀,四來瓢笠共集如雲。眾J37nB401_p0783b13檀越、護法居士等請公開堂,公唯施本色鉗鎚,請益J37nB401_p0783b14門人甚多,得法者有法柱棟公、止岸慈公二人焉。越J37nB401_p0783b15明年,公示微恙,叮嚀訓眾,努力辦道,端坐而逝,塔於J37nB401_p0783b16寺之左。時四方僧俗聞者莫不流涕,以公素行真誠,J37nB401_p0783b17其德感人如此,乃為之銘曰:
