嘯堂和尚語錄敘
J37nB389_p0505a22嘯堂汾和尚挾複子上靈巖,時予在侍寮典記,見其J37nB389_p0505a23敝衣楚音,翛然自得,絕無近世禪殼子陋習。 退翁J37nB389_p0505a24先師心賞之,俾居不租寮,朝夕勤懇不自廢,椎拂之J37nB389_p0505a25下有所證入。然性謙抑,秘其芒耀,不喜以所長病人,J37nB389_p0505a26故人亦莫知其所得也。未幾,典藏鑰,陞掌書記。會同J37nB389_p0505a27門古嶷和尚唱滅於匡廬之乾明山中,緇白咸謂丈J37nB389_p0505a28室不可久虛,專使齎牘至吳門,請先師遴主法者以J37nB389_p0505a29慰群望。先師集群弟子於廣堂,瞬顧一匝,語和尚曰:J37nB389_p0505a30「汾!汝堪此任。」和尚亦欣然請行,自攜瓶缽長揖故山,J37nB389_p0505b01惟知師命尊嚴,不計眾緣缺乏。一眾錯愕,始悟其久J37nB389_p0505b02蒙記莂,特時至而理彰耳。予嘗有詩送之曰:「下板沉J37nB389_p0505b03埋苦自持,囊錐穎露眾方知。但令猛虎馱行橐,當有J37nB389_p0505b04神龍獻住基。隨事不妨加損益,乘時何必問艱危?此J37nB389_p0505b05回只作看山想,竹杖芒鞋任所之。」領院三閱月,知事J37nB389_p0505b06有梗化者,和尚拂衣徑行。或者進曰:「盍少貶以順機J37nB389_p0505b07宜,無致山林岑寂。」和尚笑曰:「莊生嘗謂:『觀德人之容,J37nB389_p0505b08令人意消。』今劈腹剜心,朝夕與之提訓,不能少變其J37nB389_p0505b09習染,自愧德涼,未敢學蚖蛇之戀窟宅也。」識者聞而J37nB389_p0505b10韙之。自是聲望愈高,列剎爭致,如黃安之赤城、竟陵J37nB389_p0505b11之芝紫、京山之桐泉、武昌之東巖。最後應楚撫大中J37nB389_p0505b12丞張公之請,中興洪山寶通禪寺和尚不出戶庭,莊J37nB389_p0505b13嚴畢備,顧瞻歎嗟,以為神運。前後皆有上堂示眾等J37nB389_p0505b14語,門人住京都翊教楚林睿公編次共若干卷,將壽J37nB389_p0505b15諸梓,以廣流布,不遠數千里走山中,乞一言弁其首。J37nB389_p0505b16予嘉其志,而敘夙昔之同在師門一段,以表終始,翛J37nB389_p0505b17然自得。事皆緣會而興,非若屈己從人,喪其固有,卒J37nB389_p0505b18被聲利所束縛,而為智人之所深愍者,可同日語也。J37nB389_p0505b19昔人有言曰:沙門華言離欲。離欲則方寸自虛,而萬J37nB389_p0505b20景畢入,入必有所展泄,垂慈應物,發為心聲。此教之J37nB389_p0505b21所由興,道之所由立也。譬如洪鐘在虡,有扣則鳴,細J37nB389_p0505b22梴巨杵,判然自別。而鐘則初無限約於其間,惟赴來J37nB389_p0505b23機而成其應耳。詎非古人虛靈寂妙之旨,併所謂識J37nB389_p0505b24取無依,佛亦無得者乎?輓近說法,必主摹仿,否則以J37nB389_p0505b25為杜撰而共非之。墨數行循,一摸脫出,雖充棟汗生,J37nB389_p0505b26真如像龍,不能行雨,雖多亦已奚為?讀斯錄者,蓋可J37nB389_p0505b27少悟其翛然自得之旨矣。
時J37nB389_p0505b28康熙丙寅秋日,前住靈巖同門法弟曉青題於華山J37nB389_p0505b29之臥雲深處。

J37nB389_p0505c02 J37nB389_p0505c03師順治丁酉十一月十七日在蘇州靈巖受請,十二J37nB389_p0505c04月二十二日到寺。
J37nB389_p0505c05山門。「無門之門,阿誰篆額?看得分明,君子可入。」
J37nB389_p0505c06佛殿。「太尊貴生,自號滿覺,三拜不施,令人疑著。」
J37nB389_p0505c07伽藍。「用汝全心,推我半面,禮尚往來,隨家豐儉。」
J37nB389_p0505c08祖堂。「東土西天,一堂風冷。接響承虛,有人不肯。」
J37nB389_p0505c09據室。拈拄杖,云:「打開青嶂踞虎頭,按下白雲收虎尾,J37nB389_p0505c10一掌一握,一棒一條,皮下有血底,自不怪新長老手J37nB389_p0505c11腳毒辣。且道畢竟圖個甚麼?」卓一卓,云:「不入虎穴,爭J37nB389_p0505c12得虎子?」
J37nB389_p0505c13拈當道請疏。「昔日靈山親付囑,直須當道與人看。」
J37nB389_p0505c14紳衿疏。「一毫頭上文彩全彰,有眼者見;三千里外音J37nB389_p0505c15響各別,有耳共聞。」顧左右云:「此回不是夢,真箇到廬J37nB389_p0505c16山。」
J37nB389_p0505c17山門疏。「相隨來也,言端語端,山僧要放此話大行,諸J37nB389_p0505c18人切須記取這轉。」
J37nB389_p0505c19指法座,云:「大寶華王座,究竟如虛空,作禮而陞,忒煞J37nB389_p0505c20難為。作者因地而起,還他本分宗。」師喝一喝,云:「出頭J37nB389_p0505c21天外看,誰是我般人?」遂陞。拈香祝J37nB389_p0505c22聖罷,又拈香,云:「此一瓣香著甚來由?特地驚群駭眾。J37nB389_p0505c23既然心不負人,難免痛定思痛。今朝落在手裏,單為J37nB389_p0505c24穿過J37nB389_p0505c25靈巖山頭,面無慚色。這老和尚一雙鼻孔,特與諸人J37nB389_p0505c26出氣。」插入爐中,便攬衣就座。上首白槌云:「法筵龍象J37nB389_p0505c27眾,當觀第一義。」師云:「第一義諦放下槌來,早已千里J37nB389_p0505c28萬里,捫空追響,勞汝心神。有不離當處直下取證底J37nB389_p0505c29衲僧出來,乘風起舞,相席打令看。」僧問:「機先一著,到J37nB389_p0505c30者方知。有一句子,請師答話。」師云:「香谷林中風颯颯。」J37nB389_p0506a01進云:「作家宗師,再乞端的。」師云:「虎溪橋下水淙淙。」僧J37nB389_p0506a02呈起坐具云:「這邊的又作麼生?」師打一棒云:「領過得J37nB389_p0506a03也未?」問:「遠離鷲嶺,來振濟宗。雙峰峰頂上,相見意如J37nB389_p0506a04何?」師云:「臘月火燒山。」進云:「新乾明,舊法令,向上向下J37nB389_p0506a05作麼提持?」師云:「龍蛇易辨。」進云:「信知佛種從緣起,拈J37nB389_p0506a06花始驗箇中人。」師云:「真箇那!」僧以坐具打一圓相,師J37nB389_p0506a07打云:「百雜碎。」問:「天寒日短,滴水冰生。如何是和尚家J37nB389_p0506a08風?」師云:「徹骨徹髓。」進云:「客來將何款待?」師云:「兩人共J37nB389_p0506a09一碗。」僧便禮拜,師云:「來日更與一頓。」問:「如何是乾明J37nB389_p0506a10境?」師云:「橫看成嶺側成峰。」進云:「如何是境中人?」師云:J37nB389_p0506a11「不住孤峰頂,常伴白雲閒。」進云:「未審人在境中?境在J37nB389_p0506a12人中?」師云:「你向甚處去來?」進云:「人境已蒙師指示,祖J37nB389_p0506a13意西來更若何?」師云:「五九盡日又逢春。」又一僧出,師J37nB389_p0506a14云:「且住,三世諸佛橫說豎說,徒逞詞鋒;歷代祖師全J37nB389_p0506a15提半提,虛張意氣。山僧今日打頭貴遇作家,實情好J37nB389_p0506a16與伊二十拄杖。何以?廣大門風,威德自在,權衡在手,J37nB389_p0506a17生殺臨機,十地到此魂驚,二乘聞之膽裂。若也未有J37nB389_p0506a18奔流度刃底眼目,總不勞拈出。跳脫一步,地闊天寬,J37nB389_p0506a19便可十方剎土應緣而至,百千三昧無作而成,一切J37nB389_p0506a20時煥古騰今,一切處騎聲蓋色,獨超象外,迥絕羅籠,J37nB389_p0506a21譬如寶劍揮空,空空絕跡,驪珠鑑物,物物流煇,七穴、J37nB389_p0506a22八穿、四通、五達,十成好箇沒量漢子,更說甚千聖不J37nB389_p0506a23攜、萬機寢削?」隨喝一喝,云:「無煩久立,冀自知時。」上首J37nB389_p0506a24復白槌,云:「諦觀法王法,法王法如是。」便下座。
J37nB389_p0506a25當晚,小參。「佛祖之道,一切現成,眾生日用不知,遂致J37nB389_p0506a26自生違背,家中捨父、衣裏忘珠,馳逐天涯,伶俜辛苦。J37nB389_p0506a27諸聖問出頭來,千般言、萬種喻,只要時人知有。果然J37nB389_p0506a28知有,總是碧眼胡僧、黃面老子一齊教伊且向背後J37nB389_p0506a29立地,其餘七十三、八十四,當甚茄子、瓠子?在汝諸人J37nB389_p0506a30面前又作得箇甚麼伎倆?山僧道業荒疏、才識短闍,J37nB389_p0506b01胸中實無絲毫見處,齒縫亦不挂箇字腳,願居學地,J37nB389_p0506b02豈欲稱師?無端被人推出鼻地,濫膺斯席,大家相聚J37nB389_p0506b03喫莖虀,隨分有鹽兼有醋,饑餐渴飲,且恁過時。江東J37nB389_p0506b04西、湖南北行腳高士挾複到來,入門貴須辨主,方見J37nB389_p0506b05參學眼正。若是佛法的的大意,山僧未出靈巖,早與J37nB389_p0506b06諸人道過了也。午間上堂是第二頭,適才小參是第J37nB389_p0506b07三首,乾明方當入院之初,肯教諸人落七落八,只得J37nB389_p0506b08倒行此令,返流旋一去也。」隨顧侍者,云:「收取拄杖子。」J37nB389_p0506b09便起身,歸方丈。
J37nB389_p0506b10次日,請兩序頭首,上堂。「恁麼恁麼,鶴鳴子和;不恁麼J37nB389_p0506b11不恁麼,虎嘯風生。恁麼中不恁麼,昨日住持事繁;不J37nB389_p0506b12恁麼中卻恁麼,今朝量才補職。」喝一喝,云:「俊快底自J37nB389_p0506b13肯承當,本分底放他閒去,堪作人天眼目,便與祖佛J37nB389_p0506b14為師,琢玉烹金,有權有實,變生為熟,無黨無偏,符到J37nB389_p0506b15奉行,客來須看。我若坐時你應立,彼彼顯出身之機;J37nB389_p0506b16我開口時你即聞,剎剎驚險崖之句。髑髏常干世界,J37nB389_p0506b17鼻孔摩觸家風,唱拍相隨,一多無礙,紀綱畢正,賓主J37nB389_p0506b18克諧,直得白牯黧奴助揚佛化,叢林草木現瑞放光。J37nB389_p0506b19且大功不賞一句作麼生道?回而更相涉,不爾依位J37nB389_p0506b20住。」
J37nB389_p0506b21開爐,上堂。問:「爐韝洪開,烹凡煆聖,出格人來,如何施J37nB389_p0506b22設?」師云:「上座每日拈匙把箸甚有氣力。」進云:「掀倒禪J37nB389_p0506b23床又作麼生?」師云:「打了拖聲勢。」進云:「看取令行時。」師J37nB389_p0506b24便打,僧一喝,師云:「知汝不易。」問:「火種和煙得,柴頭品J37nB389_p0506b25字堆,不與萬法為侶底,還覺脊背汗出麼?」師云:「破皮J37nB389_p0506b26厚三寸。」進云:「和尚慈悲何在?」師云:「靜處踝了打。」僧無J37nB389_p0506b27語,師云:「且去,別時來。」乃云:「西江叢林剎竿相望,或有J37nB389_p0506b28栴檀叢林栴檀圍繞、或有荊棘叢林荊棘圍繞、或有J37nB389_p0506b29荊棘叢林栴檀圍繞、或有栴檀叢林荊棘圍繞,火爐J37nB389_p0506b30頭一千五百坐得骨臀生胝,不見冷灰豆爆,祗聽熱J37nB389_p0506c01碗鳴聲。乾明這裏斬新握方外鉗鎚,乘時開作家爐J37nB389_p0506c02韝,無論栴檀荊棘一齊投入。」喝一喝,云:「直得陝府鐵J37nB389_p0506c03牛通身汗下,嘉州大象滿面光生,諸禪德當爐不避J37nB389_p0506c04火,迸眨上眉毛,看是甚麼火色?」便下座。
J37nB389_p0506c05上堂。「冰枯雪槁,天寒人寒,一有多種,二無兩般。少室J37nB389_p0506c06鐵牛,常甘水草,黃梅石女,子母團圓。惟有物外閒人,J37nB389_p0506c07衲被蒙頭,圍爐打坐,得失是非,一時放卻。堪笑韶陽J37nB389_p0506c08跛足師,把得雲簫繚亂吹,千古萬古和難齊。」拍手一J37nB389_p0506c09下,云:「即今還和得齊麼?剛被風來吹別調,知音知外J37nB389_p0506c10更誰知?」
J37nB389_p0506c11除夜,小參。「大盡三十日,小盡二十九,露柱掛燈籠,僧J37nB389_p0506c12堂佛殿後。恁麼會得,隨例餐鎚子,未有衲僧氣息在。J37nB389_p0506c13乾明今夜不似北禪烹露地白牛,大驚小怪,但向紅J37nB389_p0506c14爐上拾一點雪,枯木上糝些子花,與諸人赴箇時節。」J37nB389_p0506c15遂於身上拈起布毛,吹云:「短燭看隨殘臘盡,春風轉J37nB389_p0506c16入我門來。」
J37nB389_p0506c17歲旦,上堂。問:「深山裏佛法罕逢,新年頭家風平展,如J37nB389_p0506c18何是和尚最初一句?」師云:「今朝正月旦。」進云:「斬新條J37nB389_p0506c19令,更請施行。」師云:「伏惟知事頭首起居萬福。」進云:「天J37nB389_p0506c20雨四花盈寶座,拈香祝聖慶昇平。」師云:「重說偈言。」問:J37nB389_p0506c21「元正啟祚,萬物咸新,一句無私,請師便道。」師云:「拄杖J37nB389_p0506c22抽條丈二長。」進云:「果然恩大難酬。」師隨聲便喝,僧罔J37nB389_p0506c23措,師云:「惱亂春風。」乃云:「化育之本,物我同途,生佛之J37nB389_p0506c24元,古今不易。」卓拄杖一下,云:「山僧今日已是打開門J37nB389_p0506c25戶了也,乾坤大地、日月星辰、草木昆虫、森羅萬象總J37nB389_p0506c26在這裏𨁝跳,山門頭合掌、佛殿裏燒香,揖釋迦、拜彌J37nB389_p0506c27勒,禱祝咒願遞相慶賀,直是有意氣時添意氣,不風J37nB389_p0506c28流處也風流。」復卓一下,喝一喝,云:「吾助汝喜。」
J37nB389_p0506c29上堂。「昨夜雪上更加霜,今朝佛面增百醜,文殊普賢J37nB389_p0506c30行路難,黧奴白牯卻知有,寒山燒火滿頭灰,拾得風J37nB389_p0507a01前拈起帚。」良久,顧眾云:「你這一隊漢,冷冰冰地在這J37nB389_p0507a02裏討甚麼碗?」
J37nB389_p0507a03古嶷和尚生忌,上堂。「大善知識!以無邊虛空為正體,J37nB389_p0507a04以香水海不可說塵剎為化境,卷舒九有,出沒四生。J37nB389_p0507a05是以去年七月一葉落,天下秋;今年正月一花開,大J37nB389_p0507a06地春。其落也,隨處釋迦;其開也,千身彌勒。雖然,猶是J37nB389_p0507a07我古嶷師兄應緣化物時節。若論本分提持,坐斷死J37nB389_p0507a08生,不通凡聖,諸人又向甚處相見?」攛下拄杖,云:「直下J37nB389_p0507a09來也。」
J37nB389_p0507a10上堂。問:「但得雪消去,自然春到來。是否?」師云:「花須連J37nB389_p0507a11夜發,莫待曉風吹。」進云:「狼藉不少。」師云:「腳跟下掃來J37nB389_p0507a12看。」僧一喝,師云:「過猶不及。」乃云:「天地與我同根,萬物J37nB389_p0507a13與我一體,爪生髮長,筋轉胍搖,露結為霜,雲騰致雨,J37nB389_p0507a14那有些子違時失候?諸人到這裏,何不猛著精彩進J37nB389_p0507a15前三步?踏一踏,則須彌起舞;唾一唾,則香海興波。若J37nB389_p0507a16更呆椿椿地坐定,布袋裏老鴉雖活如死。」
J37nB389_p0507a17元宵,上堂。「奇怪,諸禪德!然燈佛與月光童子在中庭J37nB389_p0507a18裏相爭佛法甚鬧,撞倒功德天,把黑暗女髑髏一擊J37nB389_p0507a19百雜碎,過去正法明如來以平報不平,椎鐘告四方,J37nB389_p0507a20直得清涼山裏萬菩薩有馬騎馬、無馬步行,一時走J37nB389_p0507a21入鬧籃中,獨有普賢願王端坐高樓呵呵大笑,云:『你J37nB389_p0507a22這一隊弄影漢,面皮厚多少?』現前諸仁盡是傍觀者,J37nB389_p0507a23且道有恁麼事?無恁麼事?」驀顧眾,云:「明眼人難瞞。」
J37nB389_p0507a24上堂。問:「久雨不晴,山門頭金剛渾身濕透,父母未生J37nB389_p0507a25面目為甚針劄不入?」師云:「一年春過一年春。」進云:「覓J37nB389_p0507a26火和煙得,擔泉帶月歸,是神通妙用?是法爾如然?」師J37nB389_p0507a27云:「牆壁有耳。」問:「雲橫大野,水滿清溪,略彴不是趙州J37nB389_p0507a28橋,未審行人如何得過?」師云:「拽脫鼻孔。」進云:「畢竟借J37nB389_p0507a29誰之力?」師云:「你眼在甚麼處?」僧作禮,云:「和尚三寸甚J37nB389_p0507a30密。」師便打。僧云:「須到如此。」師云:「天地懸殊。」乃云:「釋迦J37nB389_p0507b01掩室於摩竭,推門落臼;淨名杜口於毘耶,咬定牙關;J37nB389_p0507b02須菩提唱無說而顯道,莫謗如來正法輪;天帝釋絕J37nB389_p0507b03視聽而雨花,未必心頭事悄然。乾明慈悲之故,有落J37nB389_p0507b04草之談,前廊下與你說,後架上與你說,這裏聲鐘伐J37nB389_p0507b05鼓、豎拂拈椎也與你說,那裏開單展缽、運水搬柴也J37nB389_p0507b06與你說,你更不會,卻近前就我覓,我劈脊與你一棒。J37nB389_p0507b07有一棒到你,彩鳳舞丹霄;無一棒到你,鐵蛇橫古路。J37nB389_p0507b08擬看腳下,多少人喪身失命?若是箇不受人處分底,J37nB389_p0507b09點著便轉、撩起便行,南北東西如雲似鶴,山河大地J37nB389_p0507b10有甚麼過?」
J37nB389_p0507b11上堂。問:「山青水綠,打開金剛眼睛;日上月下,捩轉衲J37nB389_p0507b12僧巴鼻。學人今日要與和尚作境話會。」師云:「桃花杏J37nB389_p0507b13花鬥開。」進云:「還有指點處也無?」師云:「柳條桑條憋破。」J37nB389_p0507b14進云:「果然車不橫推,理無曲斷。」師豎起拄杖云:「幾人J37nB389_p0507b15信得他及?」進云:「虎溪橋下月,光接漢王峰。」師便打,僧J37nB389_p0507b16一喝,師云:「詐明頭。」乃云:「見色明心,心不是佛;聞聲悟J37nB389_p0507b17道,道不屬知。不屬不知,景物欣榮,山川晴媚,桃花一J37nB389_p0507b18樹兩樹紅自紅,脩竹三叢四叢綠自綠,喚作色得麼?J37nB389_p0507b19鴉鳴鴉鴉,鵲噪鵲鵲,郭公鳴郭公,姑惡鳴姑惡,喚作J37nB389_p0507b20聲得麼?山僧明明向你道,尚自不會,何況蓋覆將來?J37nB389_p0507b21兄弟!日月易流,應是從前肯重處盡情颺卻,大用現J37nB389_p0507b22前,不存軌則,盡十方世界有甚麼物與你為緣為礙?J37nB389_p0507b23如只倚他門戶傍他牆,東覷西覷,明聽暗聽,得些小J37nB389_p0507b24知小解,其實半瞽半聾,他時後日也要開這兩片皮,J37nB389_p0507b25向聲前色後鼓弄人家男女,莫言無事好。」
J37nB389_p0507b26上堂。問:「千林聳翠,萬嶽攢奇,向上一機,請師別轉。」師J37nB389_p0507b27云:「蔥嶺那邊有。」進云:「為甚麼這邊無?」師云:「日頭出來J37nB389_p0507b28看。」進云:「九萬里鵬斯展翼,百千年鶴便翱翔。」師云:「不J37nB389_p0507b29必。」問:「有一人常在歡喜中,不受讚歎;有一人常在冤J37nB389_p0507b30苦中,偏愛謗毀。只此二人,那箇為親?」師云:「賞不避仇J37nB389_p0507c01讎。」進云:「快人一言。」師云:「尋思去。」僧便歸眾,師云:「眼不J37nB389_p0507c02見鼻孔。」問:「日日是好日,時時是好時,大通智勝佛,十J37nB389_p0507c03劫坐道場。為甚麼佛法不現前?」師云:「略無些子衲僧J37nB389_p0507c04氣息。」進云:「鈍置殺人。」師云:「有甚饆饠䭔子,快下將來。」J37nB389_p0507c05僧擬議,師便打。僧云:「莫教屈著。」師又打,云:「總是山僧J37nB389_p0507c06罪過。」乃云:「眼睫橫亙十方,眉毛上透乾坤,下透黃泉。J37nB389_p0507c07諸人未得箇入頭,須得箇入頭;既得箇入頭,須得箇J37nB389_p0507c08出頭。祗如到江吳地盡作麼生去?隔岸越山多向那J37nB389_p0507c09裏住?有人道得轉身句不著,還草鞋錢。」
J37nB389_p0507c10上堂。「世尊三昧,迦葉不知。迦葉三昧,阿難不知。阿難J37nB389_p0507c11三昧,商那和脩不知。商那和脩三昧,優波麴多不知。J37nB389_p0507c12恁般說話,顢頇佛性,儱侗真如。且作箇模子,搭卻諸J37nB389_p0507c13人。晨朝熱水洗面,夜間脫襪打眠。食辦擊鼓,眾集撞J37nB389_p0507c14鐘。燒香掃地,合掌搖頭。菜園牆倒晴方築,房舍籬穿J37nB389_p0507c15雨過脩。東廊上上,西廊下下。並不曾差了一步,錯了J37nB389_p0507c16一事。因甚不知有分緇素識好惡底衲僧,及早解開J37nB389_p0507c17胸懷,笑一聲子。惺惺直言,惺惺歷歷。直言歷歷,乾明J37nB389_p0507c18自知。你不是箇謾人自謾漢。」
J37nB389_p0507c19上堂。「好雨知時節,春無三日晴,溈山五百頭,真箇可J37nB389_p0507c20憐生。溪東溪西,一任橫拖倒拽,且道這片田地始終J37nB389_p0507c21屬阿誰?」一僧出云:「和尚豈得問別人?」師下禪床把住J37nB389_p0507c22云:「道!道!」僧擬議,師便掌云:「感你不徹。」
J37nB389_p0507c23上堂。「滴水滴凍,道一句善言,言者言所不能言;崖崩J37nB389_p0507c24石裂,示一機善跡,跡者跡所不能跡。諸人終日區區,J37nB389_p0507c25有口只是喫飯,乾明冷地相為,不妨好手彰名。」遂拈J37nB389_p0507c26拄杖卓一下,云:「已是徹困向汝也。」
J37nB389_p0507c27上堂。拈拄杖云:「丁一卓二有手腳,放兩拋三無背面,J37nB389_p0507c28明眼人看不見。看得見,山僧實落分付與你。」卓一卓,J37nB389_p0507c29云:「切忌謾承當。」
J37nB389_p0507c30佛涅槃日,上堂。僧問:「宴寂熙連河側,金棺特示雙趺。J37nB389_p0508a01正恁麼時,莫便是佛否?」師云:「夜半須彌安鼻孔。」僧云:J37nB389_p0508a02「賴遇和尚證明。」師云:「疑殺天下人。」乃云:「二月十五日J37nB389_p0508a03以前,有佛處不得住;二月十五日以後,無佛處急走J37nB389_p0508a04過;正當二月十五日,黃面瞿曇做盡腸肚,猶自死不J37nB389_p0508a05甘心。以手摩胸,告眾曰:『汝等善觀吾紫磨金色之身,J37nB389_p0508a06瞻仰取足,勿令後悔。』大似靈龜曳尾,拂跡跡生。諸仁!J37nB389_p0508a07二千餘年後誦伊之言、服伊之服、行伊之行,一箇箇J37nB389_p0508a08眼光爍破四天下。且道釋迦老子即今甚處去也?」拍J37nB389_p0508a09禪床一下,云:「時人只看絲綸上,不見蘆花對蓼紅。」
J37nB389_p0508a10上堂。「夫學般若菩薩,直須諦當去,始得千里萬里。至J37nB389_p0508a11此行立,總在人前。賓則始終賓,主則始終主。賓無二J37nB389_p0508a12賓,主無二主。擬議思量,即沒交涉。」顧左右云:「要會乾J37nB389_p0508a13明賓主句麼?鶴冷移巢還避月,龍寒出洞早生雲。」
J37nB389_p0508a14大士誕日,覺心道人請上堂。僧問:「淺綠深紅,莫非文J37nB389_p0508a15殊妙境;啼鶯語燕,盡是觀音普門。未審寶華座上是J37nB389_p0508a16第幾應身?」師云:「山僧常念觀音。」僧云:「百千手眼利濟J37nB389_p0508a17無邊,因甚麼高麗不去?」師云:「觀音,觀音。」僧云:「翠柳拂J37nB389_p0508a18開金世界,紅蓮湧出玉樓臺。」師云:「不勞讚歎。」乃云:「惟J37nB389_p0508a19一堅密身,一切塵中現。」豎起拂子,云:「觀世音菩薩來J37nB389_p0508a20也,即今在山僧拂子頭上揭示圓通妙門,以不思議J37nB389_p0508a21無作妙德成就一切眾願,上合十方諸佛本妙覺心,J37nB389_p0508a22與佛如來同一慈力;下合十方六道眾生,與諸眾生J37nB389_p0508a23同一悲仰。令諸眾生不涉情解意想,頓獲十四無畏。J37nB389_p0508a24汝等諸人有智若聞,則能信受。」遂擊拂子一下,便喝J37nB389_p0508a25一喝,云:「非唯觀世音,我亦從中證。」
J37nB389_p0508a26上堂。「久雨熟梅天,柴生滿灶煙,林間泥滑滑,時叫屋J37nB389_p0508a27頭邊。銅䤬鑼裏滿盛油底,途中善為不遺一滴,何處J37nB389_p0508a28見他滲漏來?是你問凡答凡、問聖答聖,為甚隨他舌J37nB389_p0508a29頭轉?」良久,云:「腳下泥深。」
J37nB389_p0508a30上堂。「諸仁在此,饑餐渴飲,閒坐困眠。一箇渾身,若無J37nB389_p0508b01事事。與汝驪龍明月珠,卻道分文不直。與汝蜣螂糞J37nB389_p0508b02彈子,卻道價重千金。是顛倒情深,是轉移力重。於此J37nB389_p0508b03分疏得下,足表智眼洞明。若只儱侗顢頇,切忌口銜J37nB389_p0508b04羊角走,區區不是好生涯。」
J37nB389_p0508b05上堂。「三周寒暑,遠泛重溟;十萬里西來,直上梁王殿。J37nB389_p0508b06雖是小過,令人大怒。何故?不合欺我唐土人。山僧與J37nB389_p0508b07麼說話,是肯老胡?不肯老胡?若道肯,易掩當門齒,難J37nB389_p0508b08藏蓋膽毛;若道不肯,達磨一宗掃土而盡。諸人到這J37nB389_p0508b09裏作麼生為祖師出氣?」良久,云:「還我骨髓來。」
J37nB389_p0508b10上堂。僧問:「道也者,不可須臾離也,可離非道也。如何J37nB389_p0508b11是不離底道?」師云:「碓搗東南。」僧云:「無聲無臭又作麼J37nB389_p0508b12生領?」師云:「磨磨西北。」乃云:「一徑直,二周遮,衲僧會得,J37nB389_p0508b13萬別千差。是你諸人認著門前屋後,便乃叉手當胸,J37nB389_p0508b14這邊稱楊,那裏稱鄭,進一步即迷其理,退一步又失J37nB389_p0508b15其事。殊不知,平田莊裏,草色青隨杖;險峻岩頭,藍光J37nB389_p0508b16碧照衣。何處客來閒共語?免教望斷夕陽西。」
J37nB389_p0508b17精進七內,上堂。僧問:「百年三萬六千日,返覆元來是J37nB389_p0508b18者漢,請和尚驗過。」師云:「胡地冬抽筍。」僧云:「現前大眾J37nB389_p0508b19沾恩有分。」師云:「得到口也未?」僧一喝,師便打。又,僧問:J37nB389_p0508b20「有物先天地,無形本寂寥,能為萬象主,不逐四時凋。J37nB389_p0508b21如何是萬象主?」師云:「山高路遠,到這裏甚不容易。」僧J37nB389_p0508b22云:「等閒模著虛空鼻,生死猶如戲一場。」師打一棒,云:J37nB389_p0508b23「免怪空疏。」乃云:「去卻一,拈得七,上下四維無等匹,逼J37nB389_p0508b24得鯰魚上竹竿,俊鶻迅鷹趁弗及。諸人未得箇入處,J37nB389_p0508b25但向己求;有箇入處,莫就他覓。絕羅籠,脫羈勒,不風J37nB389_p0508b26流處也風流,大抵還他好丰骨,這邊與那邊,許汝放J37nB389_p0508b27膽說。」喝一喝。
J37nB389_p0508b28解制,上堂。「今朝正月十五,雪霽雲收天宇,叢林制解J37nB389_p0508b29放行,究竟無法可取。山僧起倒因人,歡喜無過,直與J37nB389_p0508b30各攜杖笠出松門,萬里溪山誰共語?」驀拈拄杖卓一J37nB389_p0508c01下,云:「咦!春風漸見花狼籍,珍重還須帶眼看。」
J37nB389_p0508c02上堂。「行腳衲僧也須識取去底,識取住底。如何是去J37nB389_p0508c03底?離家舍不在途中者是。如何是住底?在途中不離J37nB389_p0508c04家舍者是。說甚你有則與,你無則奪。直饒說得去住J37nB389_p0508c05分明,三千里外猶被拄杖子穿卻鼻孔。」靠拄杖,下座。
J37nB389_p0508c06上堂。「劫外靈機,悟心者始顯;聲前活路,達道者能行。J37nB389_p0508c07雲在嶺頭,乍舒乍卷;水流澗底,可淺可深。花開葉落,J37nB389_p0508c08豈是榮枯?春去秋來,原非遷變。復生居士二十五年J37nB389_p0508c09前與山僧欣逢白鶴古寺,早已聞斯道矣。今秋七月J37nB389_p0508c10廿六,正值從心之辰,特到山中齋我一眾,山僧更說J37nB389_p0508c11箇甚麼以資綿遠?」良久,朗吟曰:「佛法人情不用分,抬J37nB389_p0508c12頭撞著自家底,火棗冰梨信手拈,子子孫孫皆可喜。」J37nB389_p0508c13便下座。
