J36nB363_p0787c04康熙庚戌二月十五日入院,諸檀護及本山大眾恭J36nB363_p0787c05請上堂。拈香祝J36nB363_p0787c06聖畢,乃云:「白雲出岫,朱頂翔空,去來本無間然,動靜寧J36nB363_p0787c07分彼此?符命既苦相追,業緣應難掣肘。既然事到如J36nB363_p0787c08斯,只得颺下笠子,脫卻草鞋,重扇爐鞴,再理鉗錘,為J36nB363_p0787c09汝斯人徹骨徹體。是故是……」,以拄杖畫一畫,云:「舊店新J36nB363_p0787c10開則不無,且道:主顧在甚麼處?」良久,云:「可來白雲裏,J36nB363_p0787c11教汝紫芝歌。」
J36nB363_p0787c12上堂。僧問:「十二時中作何行業即免生死?」師云:「近前J36nB363_p0787c13來,與你注解。」僧擬進語,師打,云:「無將鶴唳當作鶯啼。」J36nB363_p0787c14乃舉:「興化因僧問:『四方八面來時如何?』化曰:『打中間J36nB363_p0787c15底。』僧便禮拜。化曰:『我昨日赴箇村齋,中途遇一陣卒J36nB363_p0787c16風暴雨,卻向古廟裏躲避得過。』」師云:「流水高山,伯牙J36nB363_p0787c17故善其操,然風雅離微,非子期又孰能發其聲價?雙J36nB363_p0787c18林固無過人之眼,且有利人之心。今日有問:『四方八J36nB363_p0787c19面來時如何?』只對道:『山僧打退鼓。』他擬眼目定動,劈J36nB363_p0787c20脊便棒。何則?黃金自有黃金價,終不和沙賣與人。」
J36nB363_p0787c21請追嚴,小參。「鳶飛戾天,魚躍於淵,恁麼論量,美則美J36nB363_p0787c22矣,未是極則。若論箇事,天不能蓋,地不能載,日月莫J36nB363_p0787c23並其輝,千聖難同其轍,十方剎海無所不週,蝡動蜎J36nB363_p0787c24飛無所不具,能為萬象之主、能作諸佛之師,梯航津J36nB363_p0787c25濟,行布圓融,豈獨上下之察哉?雖然,祇如古德道:『實J36nB363_p0787c26際理地不受一塵,今世門頭不捨一法。』不受一塵即J36nB363_p0787c27且置,敢問現前大眾:不捨底是那一法?這裏菽麥得J36nB363_p0787c28出,非但知此位尊靈安身立命處,便知諸佛諸祖、乃J36nB363_p0787c29聖乃賢安身立命處,乃知自己本命元辰落處無不J36nB363_p0787c30了了。還委悉麼?彌陀非外得,遍界是西方。」擊拂子,下J36nB363_p0788a01座。
J36nB363_p0788a02晚參。舉:「盤山寶積禪師上堂:『向上一路,千聖不傳。學J36nB363_p0788a03者勞形,如猿捉影。』慈明曰:『向上一路,千聖不然。』」師云:J36nB363_p0788a04「二老提唱,如小兒啖李,只向赤邊噉。雙林道:向上一J36nB363_p0788a05路,停囚長智。」
J36nB363_p0788a06上堂。「三登九上,祇原這裏未穩;八十行腳,直以心未J36nB363_p0788a07悄然。欲得超凡入聖,急須緊把繩頭,莫顧危亡得失,J36nB363_p0788a08一念萬年,箇事自然成辦。雙林雖恁麼道,也是抱橋J36nB363_p0788a09柱澡浴,作死馬醫。是汝諸人如何委悉?」良久,云:「啼得J36nB363_p0788a10血流無用處,不如緘口過殘春。」
J36nB363_p0788a11上堂。舉:「僊天禪師因僧參,擬禮拜,僊曰:『野狐兒!見甚J36nB363_p0788a12麼了便禮拜?』曰:『老禿奴!見甚麼了便恁麼問?』僊曰:『苦J36nB363_p0788a13哉!苦哉!僊天今日忘前失後。』曰:『要且得時,終不補失。』J36nB363_p0788a14僊曰:『爭不如此?』曰:『誰甘?』僊呵呵大笑曰:『遠之遠矣!』僧J36nB363_p0788a15四顧便出。」師云:「僊天恁麼施設,雖無生擒活捉之機,J36nB363_p0788a16且喜收放自在。這僧縱解掣電光中轉身,未免傷鋒J36nB363_p0788a17犯手。雙林今日黨理不黨親,檢點僊天老人合喫拄J36nB363_p0788a18杖。何故?不見道:多處添些子。」
J36nB363_p0788a19上堂。「法不孤起,仗境方生。」乃豎拄杖,召眾,云:「大眾!且J36nB363_p0788a20道:這箇是法耶?是境耶?若檢點得出,共你七十三、八J36nB363_p0788a21十四;其或未然,別峰相見。」卓拄杖,下座。
J36nB363_p0788a22上堂。舉:「雪峰問僧:『甚處來?』曰:『近離浙中。』峰曰:『船來?陸J36nB363_p0788a23來?』曰:『二途俱不涉云云。』」師云:「此案古今提唱,故多覓J36nB363_p0788a24箇不錯會者,不啻水中擇乳。然這僧將謂雪峰屈辱,J36nB363_p0788a25殊不知卻被同行換卻鼻孔。此事且置,還委這僧中J36nB363_p0788a26夜焚香禮拜的意旨麼?看來盡是人面虎,能有幾箇J36nB363_p0788a27聖賢心?」
J36nB363_p0788a28上堂。舉:「韶山寰普禪師,白頭因參,山問:『莫是多口白J36nB363_p0788a29頭因麼?』因曰:『不敢。』山曰:『有多少口?』因曰:『通身是。』山曰:J36nB363_p0788a30『尋常向甚麼處屙?』因曰:『向韶山口裏屙。』山曰:『有韶山J36nB363_p0788b01口即得,無韶山口向甚麼處屙?』因無語,山便打。」師云:J36nB363_p0788b02「截得別人腳跟,失卻自己鼻孔。」又云:「因白頭氣宇如J36nB363_p0788b03王,為甚麼拶著便冰消瓦解?雖然,韶山耀武揚威,故J36nB363_p0788b04是當仁不讓,檢點將來,也只贏得一屙。」
J36nB363_p0788b05上堂。舉:「雲居佛印了元禪師入室次,蘇子瞻適至,印J36nB363_p0788b06曰:『此間無坐榻,學士來此作麼?』瞻曰:『暫借和尚四大J36nB363_p0788b07為坐。』印曰:『山僧有一問,學士道得即請坐,道不得當J36nB363_p0788b08輸玉帶。』瞻欣然曰:『便請。』印曰:『四大本空,五蘊非有,學J36nB363_p0788b09士向甚麼處坐?』瞻無對,遂解下玉帶。」師云:「捨己從人,J36nB363_p0788b10雲居也則是婆心太殺,祇不合按圖索驥,非但蘇公J36nB363_p0788b11落節風前,兼且自己打失鼻孔。」
J36nB363_p0788b12晚參。舉:「保寧勇禪師上堂:『若說佛法供養大眾,未免J36nB363_p0788b13眉鬚墮落;若說世法供養大眾,入地獄如箭射。去此J36nB363_p0788b14二途,且道:保寧今日當說甚麼?三寸舌頭無處用,一J36nB363_p0788b15雙空手不成拳。』」師云:「玉本無瑕,雕文喪德。雙林即不J36nB363_p0788b16然,說佛法也得、說世法也得。不見道:『世諦語言、資生J36nB363_p0788b17業等皆與實相不相違背。』雖然,去此二途又作麼生?J36nB363_p0788b18翻憶長髭見石頭,解道紅爐一點雪。」下座。
J36nB363_p0788b19上堂。「知幻即離,離幻即覺。大乘小乘,錢索井索。無影J36nB363_p0788b20林中鳥不驚,空裏磨盤生八角。若人於此識根源,勝J36nB363_p0788b21似然燈親囑託。」復舉:「百丈入就禪師,因僧問:『如何是J36nB363_p0788b22佛?』丈曰:『葉落秋林。』曰:『學人不會。』丈曰:『遍地殘紅。』」師云:J36nB363_p0788b23「百丈祖翁太殺直捷,怎柰這僧當面錯過。當時若雙J36nB363_p0788b24林在會,但云:『春去夏來常相似,高山流水自如今。』」喝J36nB363_p0788b25一喝,下座。
J36nB363_p0788b26示眾。舉:「《金剛經》曰:『若見諸相非相,即見如來。』法眼別J36nB363_p0788b27曰:『若見諸相非相,即不見如來。』天童覺曰:『世尊說如J36nB363_p0788b28來禪,法眼說祖師禪,會得甚奇特,不會也相許。』」師云:J36nB363_p0788b29「買帽相頭,世尊言中有響;因齋慶讚,法眼句底無私。J36nB363_p0788b30如來禪、祖師禪,天童可謂善別。若論向上一著,並皆J36nB363_p0788c01喫棒。何謂?不見道:好手手中呈好手。」
J36nB363_p0788c02說戒,上堂。「無情劍插眉端裏,奪命符懸肘後頭,發大J36nB363_p0788c03機時顯大用,虎頭虎尾一齊收。雖然如是,且不動鋒J36nB363_p0788c04鋩,坐致太平一句又作麼生?域中日月縱橫挂,一亙J36nB363_p0788c05晴空萬古輝。」復舉高峰海底泥牛語,師云:「妙老祇解J36nB363_p0788c06步步登高,不解從空放下。雙林即不然,饑喫飯、渴飲J36nB363_p0788c07泉、寒向火、倦打眠,內有一句有權、有實,有照、有用,檢J36nB363_p0788c08點得出,不惟三聚週隆,亦與高氏沙彌把手共行,黃J36nB363_p0788c09面瞿曇同一鼻;其或未然,少間登壇,志心諦聽。」
J36nB363_p0788c10晚參。「見見之時,見非是見,見猶離見,見不能及。大小J36nB363_p0788c11瞿曇抓頭不知癢處。」
J36nB363_p0788c12至節,晚參。「灰飛律管陽初復,天子南郊大有年。雲物J36nB363_p0788c13交章饒瑞氣,聲光浩浩慶堯天。」
J36nB363_p0788c14上堂。舉:「金峰從志禪師,因僧問訊次,乃把住曰:『輒不J36nB363_p0788c15得向人道,我有一則因緣舉似你。』僧作聽勢,峰與一J36nB363_p0788c16掌。僧曰:『為甚麼打某甲?』峰曰:『我要話行。』」師云:「得之於J36nB363_p0788c17心,伊蘭作栴檀之香;失之於旨,甘露成蒺藜之園。切J36nB363_p0788c18磋琢磨,這僧也則其善,何其鉤索別牽,便乃龍頭蛇J36nB363_p0788c19尾,惜乎好則因緣,以致翻成特地。雖然,金峰檢點,不J36nB363_p0788c20得無過,這一掌須是自喫始得。何故?既稱飽飫叢林,J36nB363_p0788c21不合有年無德。」
J36nB363_p0788c22晚參。「天童雲外岫禪師,一日問眾曰:『天童今日大死J36nB363_p0788c23去也,汝輩作麼生救?』無印證出,曰:『請和尚喫飯。』岫曰:J36nB363_p0788c24『天童今日大死去也,汝不要相救。』證曰:『寱語作麼?』岫J36nB363_p0788c25曰:『天童今日大死去也,阿誰與我同行?』證曰:『和尚先J36nB363_p0788c26行,大證後隨。』岫呵呵大笑,遂示寂。」師云:「天童慣向虛J36nB363_p0788c27空裏剜窟寵,若非證老見義勇為,怎得功歸至化?然J36nB363_p0788c28父為子隱、子為父隱,故是檢點將來,也是屋裏泛楊J36nB363_p0788c29州。會麼?聽取一頌:和尚先去,大證隨後。呵呵大笑,更J36nB363_p0788c30復何究?夜靜煙銷兮玉柳含輝,更闌雲霽兮梅神巧J36nB363_p0789a01裒。冰壺影裏晶簾開,迸出金烏明夜後。」
J36nB363_p0789a02上堂。僧問:「青蘿夤緣,直上寒松之頂;白雲澹泞,出沒J36nB363_p0789a03太虛之中。為是神通?為復妙用?」師云:「兩重公案。」進云:J36nB363_p0789a04「截流之機,故是源遠有據。只如至孝無達,敢問如何J36nB363_p0789a05奉重?」師云:「輕煙籠皎月,薄霧鎖寒巖。」僧禮拜。乃舉:「巖J36nB363_p0789a06頭因僧問:『浩浩塵中如何辨主?』頭曰:『銅䤬鑼裏滿盛J36nB363_p0789a07油。』」師云:「雲巖即不然,今日有問:『浩浩塵中如何辨主?』J36nB363_p0789a08只對道:『熏風自南來,殿角生微涼。』」下座。
J36nB363_p0789a09晚參。舉:「天寧希辨禪師垂問:『色見聲求俱是妄,問君J36nB363_p0789a10那箇是如來?』」師云:「一日打眠三五度,也消不得許多J36nB363_p0789a11閒。是則是,大似平地阬人。」
J36nB363_p0789a12上堂。「恁麼恁麼,古墓毒蛇頭戴角;不恁麼不恁麼,銅J36nB363_p0789a13䤬鑼裏滿盛油。若是摩霄俊鵠,自合乘翔;止濼困魚,J36nB363_p0789a14不勞激浪。」
J36nB363_p0789a15浴佛,上堂。「柳緣桃紅赤體彰,儂歌歷歷為誰忙?悉達J36nB363_p0789a16面目周沙界,珍重諸人仔細看。」
J36nB363_p0789a17晚參。舉:「馬祖道一禪師,因僧問:『離四句,絕百非,請師J36nB363_p0789a18直指西來意。』祖曰:『我今日勞倦云云。』」師云:「馬師父子J36nB363_p0789a19雖善暗藏春色、明露秋光,要且總被這僧一狀領過。」
J36nB363_p0789a20為座主我期小參。「窮諸玄辨,若一毫置於太虛;竭世J36nB363_p0789a21樞機……」,卓拄杖,云:「到底不離於這裏。其或尚留觀聽,何J36nB363_p0789a22妨再為指南?依時演教,十二類生咸證果;律儀精專,J36nB363_p0789a23三千里放淨光明。刱大廈而廣結人緣,脩聖像而倍J36nB363_p0789a24增福慧,翻身藏於無縫而鬼神莫測。到這裏,將謂珍J36nB363_p0789a25之重之,誰知今日被山僧徹底掀翻,和贓捉敗?大眾!J36nB363_p0789a26還見期公行履處麼?陋巷不騎金色馬,回途卻著破J36nB363_p0789a27襤衫。」
J36nB363_p0789a28上堂。「善能分別諸法相,於第一義而不動。」遂喝一喝,J36nB363_p0789a29云:「山青水緣,鳥語花香,歷歷分明,更無回互。這裏薦J36nB363_p0789a30得,維摩大士在你腳下;脫或未然……」,擲拂子,云:「此去西J36nB363_p0789b01天路,迢迢十萬餘。」
J36nB363_p0789b02臘八,上堂。「昔世尊正覺山前觀明星,於此日便云:『奇J36nB363_p0789b03哉!一切眾生俱有如來智慧德相,但以妄想執著而J36nB363_p0789b04不證得。』大眾!瞿曇與麼道,大似開眼說夢。汝等諸人J36nB363_p0789b05還惺覺麼?不見道:『有時拈一莖草作丈六金身,有時J36nB363_p0789b06將丈六金身作一莖草。』雖然雙林如是告報,也是貧J36nB363_p0789b07兒嚼冷飯。」喝一喝,下座。
J36nB363_p0789b08上堂。「丹霞燒木佛,院主墮眉鬚。一字入公門,九牛拽J36nB363_p0789b09不出。」喝一喝。
J36nB363_p0789b10除夕,上堂。「雙林別無所長,又無除舊供養,權借古人J36nB363_p0789b11鼻孔拈向樽前,一任飽吞樂飲,趙州茶、雲門餅、曹山J36nB363_p0789b12酒、禾山鼓,雖是上古遺局,未免應箇時節。眾中莫有J36nB363_p0789b13知音的麼?」拈拂子,云:「囉囉招,囉囉搖,囉囉送。莫怪荒J36nB363_p0789b14疏,伏惟珍重。」
J36nB363_p0789b15晚參。舉:「丹霞天然禪師因過慧林寺,值凝寒,乃取木J36nB363_p0789b16佛燒火。向院主呵曰:『何得燒我木佛?』霞以杖撥灰,曰:J36nB363_p0789b17『吾燒取舍利。』院曰:『木佛何有舍利?』霞曰:『既無舍利,更J36nB363_p0789b18請兩尊來燒。』院主自後眉鬚墮落。投子青曰:『不會作J36nB363_p0789b19客,勞煩主人。』」師云:「趁風使帆,丹霞慣得及便;因事長J36nB363_p0789b20智,院主未免郎當。投子故是評品端的,畢竟具何三J36nB363_p0789b21昧?」良久,云:「為伊同睡,深知被底穿。」
J36nB363_p0789b22至節,上堂。拈拂子畫○相,云:「不是大圓鏡,亦非精靈J36nB363_p0789b23窟,任他劫火洞然,到此了無滲漏。訝!錯了也。今日是J36nB363_p0789b24冬至佳節,群陰剝盡之時,葭管灰飛,為識陽回宇宙;J36nB363_p0789b25蓂莢榮枯,祇緣晦朔依時。乾坤變態無私,日月循環J36nB363_p0789b26匪異。是故是,只如群陰欲去未去、一陽欲來未來,正J36nB363_p0789b27當恁麼時,合作麼生道?庭前凍竹翻新浪,溪畔寒梅J36nB363_p0789b28吐冷煙。」復舉:「徑山散木禪師。因巡漕雲浦蘇公問:『鴛J36nB363_p0789b29鴦繡出從君看,不把金鍼度與人。如何是金鍼?』山曰:J36nB363_p0789b30『我在京師走一遭,不曾遇著一人。』公擬進語,山曰:『金J36nB363_p0789c01鍼失也。』」師云:「徑山祖翁好沒道理。蘇公問的金鍼,何J36nB363_p0789c02得拈箇無孔鐵錘示之?雖然,別寶須是碧眼胡,不遇J36nB363_p0789c03其人真箇苦。天劍大師遠離楚國,過訪雙林,不惜衣J36nB363_p0789c04珍,為眾請法。苟非其人,曷能為哉?大眾!既遇其人,還J36nB363_p0789c05識金鍼麼?」顧左右,云:「山僧不惜脣皮,為汝諸人道破。J36nB363_p0789c06劍公是徑山祖翁第四世孫。」
J36nB363_p0789c07晚參。舉:「道吾因趙州過訪,吾著豹皮褌,把吉撩棒,在J36nB363_p0789c08三門前等候。纔見州來,便高聲唱喏而立。州曰:『小心J36nB363_p0789c09祇候著。』吾又唱喏一聲而去。」師云:「道吾因文攻義,趙J36nB363_p0789c10州就窩行劫。雙林據令而行,各與烏藤三十。何故?鷸J36nB363_p0789c11蚌相持,俱落漁人之手。」
J36nB363_p0789c12上堂。「蹋破飯床,不是尋常供養;打開布袋,祇原別示J36nB363_p0789c13佳珍。明明聲色全彰,歷歷見聞不昧,大展光明幢,永J36nB363_p0789c14鎮無為地,三世諸佛斫額,一切眾生倚憑。」乃豎拂子,J36nB363_p0789c15云:「還端的麼?萬籟有心聞不得,孤巖無耳卻知音。」
J36nB363_p0789c16上堂。舉:「曹山本寂禪師,一日聞鐘聲,乃曰:『啊㖿啊㖿。』J36nB363_p0789c17僧問:『和尚作甚麼?』山曰:『打著我心。』僧無語。徑山琇曰:J36nB363_p0789c18『賊不打自招。』清化嶾曰:『沒量大人卻向聲色裏鼓弄J36nB363_p0789c19人家男女。』」師云:「曹山捏鼻偷香,這僧白日著賊。徑山J36nB363_p0789c20恁麼道也是普州人,祇有清化猶較些子。何謂?大功J36nB363_p0789c21雖是前賢事,肝膽何妨此日傾?」
J36nB363_p0789c22晚參。舉百丈野狐因緣,師云:「不落因果,開眼也著;不J36nB363_p0789c23昧因果,合眼也著。雖然款段無私,檢點太殺漏逗。你J36nB363_p0789c24等還知漏逗處麼?直饒緇素分明,未出野狐圈繢。」
J36nB363_p0789c25上堂。舉:「白雲子祥禪師問僧:『不壞假名而談實相,你J36nB363_p0789c26作麼生會?』僧指椅子曰:『這箇是椅子。』祥以手撥椅,曰:J36nB363_p0789c27『與我將鞋袋來。』僧無對。祥曰:『這虛頭漢。』雲門偃聞曰:J36nB363_p0789c28『須是他始得。』」師云:「蜀桐秦鏡,氣質匪常。鑒影發聲,初J36nB363_p0789c29無二致。惜乎曲高和寡,致使風吹別調。要得條理始J36nB363_p0789c30終,雲門未免其責。何故?不合將下里巴歌,指作陽春J36nB363_p0790a01白雪。」
J36nB363_p0790a02臘八,上堂。僧問:「盧行者負舂,功高蓋代;丹霞老燒佛,J36nB363_p0790a03千古流芳。未審雙林如何施設?」師云:「看取令行時。」僧J36nB363_p0790a04擬進語,師便打。僧問:「法筵大啟,主伴交參。正令當行J36nB363_p0790a05即不問,洞宗落脈時如何?」師云:「中書堂內事,不許外J36nB363_p0790a06人知。」進云:「如何是正中偏?」師云:「滿頭白髮離巖谷,半J36nB363_p0790a07夜穿雲入市廛。」進云:「如何是偏中正?」師云:「數片白雲J36nB363_p0790a08籠古寺,一條緣水繞青山。」進云:「如何是正中來?」師云:J36nB363_p0790a09「手指空時天地轉,回途石馬出紗籠。」進云:「如何是兼J36nB363_p0790a10中至?」師云:「風吹柳絮毛毬走,雨打梨花蛺蝶飛。」進云:J36nB363_p0790a11「如何是兼中到?」師云:「半夜黑漆屏風上,寫出盧仝月J36nB363_p0790a12蝕詩。」進云:「恁麼則申伯宗風從此振,神州佳氣又亨J36nB363_p0790a13通。」師云:「伽陀不必從頭念,知是般事即便休。」乃云:「處J36nB363_p0790a14處叢林臘月八,焚香稽首慶悉達。雙林不守舊循途,J36nB363_p0790a15免落世間成話把。既不守舊循途,又何須這場特地?J36nB363_p0790a16不見道:有條攀條,無條攀例。」便下座。
J36nB363_p0790a17老和尚六旬初度,命上堂。師陞座,拈香畢,乃云:「今晨J36nB363_p0790a18迺吾方丈老人耳順之期,不肖念於三千里外入山J36nB363_p0790a19省覲,復承嚴命,令兩序諸兄請陞斯座,大似偪石女J36nB363_p0790a20生兒,驅生蛇入竹。既不獲已,祇得藉斯山景,聊夫塞J36nB363_p0790a21乎其白。」遂揮拂子,云:「柱峰卓立,秀獨拔乎五嶽;銀燭J36nB363_p0790a22煒煌,光迥耀夫三湘。曼殊窈窕於雲端,僊趺全彰於J36nB363_p0790a23巖畔。滔滔花澗,吐廣長之妙舌;條條古木,示清淨之J36nB363_p0790a24法身。欲窺堂奧幽玄,須透向上關戾,直須打疊淨潔,J36nB363_p0790a25始堪股肱宗猷。誠能如是,則不披萊衣而師顏已悅,J36nB363_p0790a26不獻函圖而壽算無疆。不肖雖恁麼舉揚,猶是中原J36nB363_p0790a27俗氣。還有共相慶祝底麼?道價盡輸天下響,虛裏惟J36nB363_p0790a28許小師知。」擊拂子,下座。
J36nB363_p0790a29臘八,上堂。「雪山夜半睹明星,冷地欺顢一切人。我若J36nB363_p0790a30當時見恁道,一鋤掘斷葛藤根。岐山老人可謂和身J36nB363_p0790b01放倒,還有扶得起的麼?將此身心奉塵剎,是則名為J36nB363_p0790b02真報恩。」
J36nB363_p0790b03解制,小參。「三月安居,九旬禁足,鍋眼大小,杓柄短長,J36nB363_p0790b04大眾咸知。今聖制告圓,草鞋錢各自打點,飯米錢須J36nB363_p0790b05要算還常住。諸昆仲!出一叢林,入一保社,大須審細,J36nB363_p0790b06不可忽略放過。若不休去、歇去,徒摩客路之塵,大限J36nB363_p0790b07臨頭,悔之晚矣。山僧一冬雖未晚參,其如觸境逢緣,J36nB363_p0790b08未嘗不為激勵。每見汝等開口諸緣,放下嘲著,是非J36nB363_p0790b09熾然。蓋因生死心不切、能所念未忘,所以病入膏肓,J36nB363_p0790b10不惟良醫拱手,假使釋迦復起、達磨再來,亦未免限J36nB363_p0790b11此牛跡。故洞山問僧云:『世間何物最苦?』僧云:『地獄最J36nB363_p0790b12苦。』山云:『不然。衣線下大事不明,是為最苦。』洞山和尚J36nB363_p0790b13可謂吐膽傾心,柰何直下無人領略,幾成虛設。若論J36nB363_p0790b14衣線下事,苟非親履實踐一回,如蓮花開、如大夢覺,J36nB363_p0790b15縱饒學通三藏、才富五車,有電光之舌、波濤之辨,祇J36nB363_p0790b16成得箇知解口滑之流,生死岸頭依然黑漫漫地。欲J36nB363_p0790b17得生死穎脫,也須剔起眉毛,著些精彩始得。邇來刱J36nB363_p0790b18叢林亦不稽古,祇圖熱鬧為勝。嗟乎!豈不聞:首山道J36nB363_p0790b19冠四海,稽其座下眾不滿於三十。遇祖初住法昌,名J36nB363_p0790b20震寰宇,上堂,曾聞命一力士撾鼓藥山,未遇時曾統J36nB363_p0790b21六人於牛圈,其後道行英賢疊出,故雲門、法眼、曹洞J36nB363_p0790b22悉出其源。惜乎!二宗流通未幾而止,獨吾宗鼎峙支J36nB363_p0790b23那者,符初祖嫩桂之讖也。後有訛誤,謂此二宗出自J36nB363_p0790b24馬祖,吾雲門祖翁曾有普說,為誅心孛理之徒指出J36nB363_p0790b25二支五派立宗來源。嗣後徑山《嚴統》偽書一出,諸方J36nB363_p0790b26咸皆髮豎,故有摘欺說、闢謬說、指迷說、救蛾說、熄邪J36nB363_p0790b27辨、明宗正訛、曹溪眼、宗門弊洗、五燈正論、溯源問、平J36nB363_p0790b28心論、五燈先、南嶽說,及公揭、公檄等書,恥其非。自乙J36nB363_p0790b29未年正月十八日,於杭州碧蓮館會諸當道宰官,燬J36nB363_p0790b30嚴統偽版後,天下咸知此是魔事。雖今山鬼衒技於J36nB363_p0790c01無人之處,吾又復何辨哉?沼和尚記讖,仰山再來,痛J36nB363_p0790c02法脈恐絕,故七載單丁於風穴,濟北之道重新,始其J36nB363_p0790c03然也。法門重任,莫過擇人,必致形正影端,方堪雕琢,J36nB363_p0790c04始其祖道有賴,豈可依樣葫蘆,稱人天眼目耶?諸昆J36nB363_p0790c05仲非是罔談彼短,靡恃己長,蓋謂古風墮地,寧忍懼J36nB363_p0790c06謗而不言哉?昔仲尼道流諸國,況遭陳蔡之厄,取讎J36nB363_p0790c07於桓魋,招毀於叔孫,尚爾不合於人,山僧安可苟免J36nB363_p0790c08於今日?雖道義節儉,未似愛惡皆一揆也。此箇門頭J36nB363_p0790c09戶底,大非容易撐持,若不具正法眼,識邪正、驗濁清,J36nB363_p0790c10怎敢提挈綱宗,激厲後學,消檀越信施,受人天禮拜?J36nB363_p0790c11這些境界,惟證乃知,非福報因緣之所論也。若非浹J36nB363_p0790c12背汗流,直饒福盈四海,眾闐支那,臨結梢頭,只落得J36nB363_p0790c13一場乾打哄,依舊業識茫茫,無本可據。雖然,這一絡J36nB363_p0790c14索,適纔不過偶爾成文。若是箇伶俐漢,望剎竿而走、J36nB363_p0790c15見鞭影而行,山僧不妨瞻之仰之;其或未然,祇知事J36nB363_p0790c16逐眼前過,不覺老從頭上來。珍重。」
J36nB363_p0790c17示眾,兼謝兩序茶。「愛無偏黨,理長即就,光明燦爛,今J36nB363_p0790c18古恆然。說心說性,埋沒己靈;論禪論道,誑諕閭閻。縱J36nB363_p0790c19使鼻頭邊觸著、布毛下翻身,未為伶俐,那堪向實際J36nB363_p0790c20理地用心、佛事門中駐念?既不如是,何妨合取兩片J36nB363_p0790c21皮,省煩許多氣力?雖然,正恁麼時,清光燭梵座,瑞氣J36nB363_p0790c22繞精藍即不問,只如古德道:『菴內人不知菴外事。』是J36nB363_p0790c23何意旨?這裏緇素得出,不但受他諸公今宵供養,直J36nB363_p0790c24饒萬兩黃金也合消得;脫或未然,莫道喫果品,白水J36nB363_p0790c25也防噎。」
