晚參僧問:「不受一物底人如何接待?」師云:「棒教誰折?」J29nB223_p0049a06乃云:「不與萬法為侶早須吸盡西江不與諸塵作對J29nB223_p0049a07除非推倒法座誰是言中取的誰是教外垂宗正好J29nB223_p0049a08逢茶喫茶遇飯喫飯無人處靈光獨燿破院邊體露J29nB223_p0049a09金風者箇說話最是直截若不策起眉毛赤身擔荷J29nB223_p0049a10則枉勞人事。」

晚參僧問:「天地未分誰名太極?」師云:「腦後看。」進云:「J29nB223_p0049a12濛既判萬象歷然誰當空無?」師云:「面前看。」乃云:「偏圜J29nB223_p0049a13互照趁去喚來且許諸方宗匠生殺全威放開掜聚J29nB223_p0049a14猶較護國門庭大眾門庭既爾且誰是當場不避鋒J29nB223_p0049a15莫是太極先臧主向石頭城將一大臧教海迻住J29nB223_p0049a16平越十年來又將黑豆一一數盡是當場不避鋒者J29nB223_p0049a17雖然若無今日棒折焉知飯是米做底?」驀卓拄杖J29nB223_p0049a18:「等閒識得沙門眼照破山河千萬重。」

晚參。「文字不立義虎魂消師象猛獸腦裂看他J29nB223_p0049a20魯祖尋常見僧來便面壁南泉聞云:『我尋常向師僧J29nB223_p0049a21:「佛未出世時會取尚不得一箇半箇他恁麼驢年J29nB223_p0049a22。」』大眾者事須具超方眼目始可到祖師門下尋箇J29nB223_p0049a23入路如其不然空嚼言語有何益哉山僧恁麼只如J29nB223_p0049a24气味相投羽毛相似底又作麼生棒頭喝下翻身去J29nB223_p0049a25終不全身落半涂。」

晚參。「山色谿光裂破文殊面孔擔勞執役洩盡普賢J29nB223_p0049a27頂門見將軍身有慈有威作比丘相無喜無怒應身J29nB223_p0049a28三界踐蹋轠轢垂手四生炮燒鬻炙頭頭上章物物J29nB223_p0049a29上顯原離聲色不假求離本脫見聞何處云脫此之J29nB223_p0049a30門風若不刳骨摟髓幾盡筋力受用尟有如是古人J29nB223_p0049b01:『行腳高士直須向聲色裏睡眠聲色裏坐臥始得。』J29nB223_p0049b02山僧把古人肝膽傾盡了也委悉麼?」良久:「莫春行J29nB223_p0049b03秋令好。」

晚參。「香嚴擊竹作聲識得半生伎倆靈雲開眼見桃J29nB223_p0049b05打失一箇疑團二人於聲色𠂤頭許他具一隻眼J29nB223_p0049b06古佛已前不立聲色未有箇入路在雖然此話大行J29nB223_p0049b07也須三十年後。」

晚參。「長老年來段聖煉凡將謂空勞心力元來有箇J29nB223_p0049b09好處適來龐居士出來贈箇頌子云:『十方仝聚會J29nB223_p0049b10箇學無為此是選佛場心空及第歸。』」乃顧眾云:「誰是J29nB223_p0049b11厭第者莫是頭首知事是心空及第者麼莫是J29nB223_p0049b12內外大眾是心空及第者麼莫是拄杖拂子是心空J29nB223_p0049b13及第者麼莫是森羅萬象有情無情是心空及第者J29nB223_p0049b14莫是鐙籠露柱佛殿三門是心空及第者麼?」拋下J29nB223_p0049b15拂子云:「放出無毛鐵鳳馮伊為瑞為祥。」

晚參。「者件事須是志固念堅言真語實可做得者家J29nB223_p0049b17種艸不然終是流俗阿師三日風雨日雨便過一生J29nB223_p0049b18何能起佛祖之道於末世邪山僧近見有一種虛做J29nB223_p0049b19模樣底說我會禪會道說我持戒修行及乎問他喚J29nB223_p0049b20甚麼是禪甚麼是道甚麼是戒甚麼是修行依舊無J29nB223_p0049b21詞可對者般死模樣底可不痛哉山僧十六七年行J29nB223_p0049b22見十八員知識凡相見必詞鋒相激法利為心J29nB223_p0049b23以虛消歲月仝一混流人不然何以有今日也兄弟J29nB223_p0049b24家既仝住須以生死事放在面前一一審究那箇是J29nB223_p0049b25生死根本那箇是成佛根本一一究得分明始不受J29nB223_p0049b26黑面老子气亦不受黑暗房子羈山僧苦苦相勸J29nB223_p0049b27要你做高尚之流不落流俗之士與佛祖吐气扶持J29nB223_p0049b28教門。」良久卓杖云:「歸來不繫船蘆華眠自孰?」

晚參。「登須彌寶王座捉虎捉龍據師子無畏床棒佛J29nB223_p0049b30棒祖正與麼時是阿誰竟界?」喝一喝

晚參。「達磨老子來震旦覓箇不受惑底人不可得J29nB223_p0049c02誰是不惑者莫是山僧適才堅臥不起麼?」乃大笑J29nB223_p0049c03:「你道笑箇甚麼山僧被人催偪只得又到寶座上J29nB223_p0049c04有甚不受惑底雖然不見道事無一向。」

晚參。「赤心片片則入艸求人雪刃堂堂則埽除邪見J29nB223_p0049c06所以衲僧家據一條棒接待四方佛來也打祖來也J29nB223_p0049c07如擊塗毒鼓令人耳其聲者了無涽意。」以杖卓云J29nB223_p0049c08會麼?」便下座

晚參拈拄杖卓一卓:「天地仝根諸佛即是者箇拄J29nB223_p0049c10杖子萬物一體拄杖子即是者箇諸佛如此見得便J29nB223_p0049c11見一切眾生世界草木昆蟲根塵虛習天地日月J29nB223_p0049c12至打鼓撝劍輥毬舞笏面壁扣齒指簾張弓拓缽J29nB223_p0049c13乾屎橛麻三斤柏樹子七斤衫蘆菔頭都與者裏J29nB223_p0049c14輥作一團何有一豪苦樂一豪迷寤只是你不肯承J29nB223_p0049c15終日不在無事甲裏便落妄想𠂤所以受人羅J29nB223_p0049c16不得自由正如諸人在者堂裏一般鼻孔既在山J29nB223_p0049c17僧手裏要教你東也與你一撦要教你西也與你一J29nB223_p0049c18要教你惺惺也與你一撦要教你寂寂也與你一J29nB223_p0049c19要教你上單下單也與你一撦要教你穿衣喫飯J29nB223_p0049c20也與你一撦要你屙菌放屎也與你一撦總是你出J29nB223_p0049c21不得所以有如此敗露。」

晚參僧問:「雷轟電埽來時如何?」師云:「勘過了打。」進云J29nB223_p0049c23水窮山盡如何轉身師云山斷疑無路溪回別有村J29nB223_p0049c24乃云:「眉毛八字智者知疏頂門一關賢者不圖焦桐J29nB223_p0049c25彈松下悠然見古初。」

晚參僧問:「如何是有句?」師云:「梢頭垂下。」進云:「如何是J29nB223_p0049c27無句?」師云:「七十二不逢。」進云:「如何是非有非無句?」J29nB223_p0049c28:「青天無隱微白雲不露頂。」進云:「如何是亦有亦無J29nB223_p0049c29?」師云:「腳蹋滄溟水手提鐵金鞭。」隨後便打:「杲日J29nB223_p0049c30當空時如何?」師云:「處處無私鑑。」僧便喝師乃打:「J29nB223_p0050a01母未生時如何?」師云:「頭指天。」:「如何是不生不滅?」J29nB223_p0050a02:「一百五日又欲來。」:「如何是佛?」師云:「頭上角未生J29nB223_p0050a03身上毛先出。」乃云:「道無明昧因無故明性離見聞J29nB223_p0050a04離故見所以目前指著擬究即乖格外談宗欲明則J29nB223_p0050a05故般若無緣慮之功對緣便照正法無偏圜之柬J29nB223_p0050a06欲柬則邪倘不如斯何有頭頭盡妙物物全施猶若J29nB223_p0050a07太虛能含萬象會麼如不會今日失利。」

晚參僧問:「雪覆千山因甚一峰獨露?」師云:「祇是闍黎J29nB223_p0050a09疑著。」:「牛頭未見四祖時如何?」師云:「虎咬大蟲。」進云J29nB223_p0050a10見後時如何?」師云:「蛇吞鱉鼻。」乃云:「德山小參不畣話J29nB223_p0050a11海底紅塵起趙州小參要畣話山頭白浪生大眾知J29nB223_p0050a12有者謂者般說話總是權柄在他手裏是則也是J29nB223_p0050a13只是山僧未點首在何也若言不畣話是必也屈著J29nB223_p0050a14趙州若言畣話是必也屈著德山。」顧左右云:「有為二J29nB223_p0050a15老人出气者不妨道看。」

晚參僧問:「如何是無生之旨?」師云:「卷起簾子著。」進云J29nB223_p0050a17祖師之機狀似鐵牛時如何?」師云:「闍黎倒退有分。」J29nB223_p0050a18:「恁麼則厭良為賤去也。」師云:「竹畢竟成篾。」乃云:「J29nB223_p0050a19錯節盤根方可施利器有銀山鐵壁方可展鉗椎J29nB223_p0050a20人恁麼大似厭良為賤不見至道無難惟嫌撿擇J29nB223_p0050a21莫憎愛洞然明白。』如是則開眼便見開耳便聞有甚J29nB223_p0050a22盤根錯節有甚鐵壁銀山大眾山僧恁麼且道還有J29nB223_p0050a23便恁麼去底麼既無別轉一路去也。」:「傅大士夜夜J29nB223_p0050a24抱佛眠』」師云:「且莫亂統。『朝朝還共起』」師云:「又恁麼去J29nB223_p0050a25。『起坐鎮相隨』」師云:「赤眼火柴頭。『語默同居止』」師云J29nB223_p0050a26著甚麼死急?『纖豪不相離』」師云:「抱橋柱澡浴。『如身景J29nB223_p0050a27相似』」師云:「貼肉汗縿子。『欲識佛住處』」師云:「狗咬枯骨J29nB223_p0050a28。『祇者語聲是』」師云:「三生六十劫大眾恁麼為你別J29nB223_p0050a29轉一路且道還諦當也無!」

晚參僧問:「如何是應無所住而生其心?」師云:「蘇嚕蘇J29nB223_p0050b01。」進云:「如何是即心即佛?」師云:「張七也哭趙八又笑。」J29nB223_p0050b02進云:「如何是非心非佛?」師云:「趙八也哭張七又笑。」J29nB223_p0050b03:「善財因無著菩薩問曰:『我欲見文殊何者即是?』J29nB223_p0050b04:『女發一念心清淨即是。』無著曰:『我發一念心清淨J29nB223_p0050b05為甚麼不見?』財曰:『是真見文殊。』古人為你露者一著J29nB223_p0050b06可為平坦坦地有甚礙著只是不肯一念回光J29nB223_p0050b07機自照所以不得解脫作者驢前馬後漢真可憐生J29nB223_p0050b08大眾若能於此瞥地便見三世如來天下老和尚J29nB223_p0050b09切天人一切有情是者一念心清淨乃至佛祖所有J29nB223_p0050b10言教種種施設盡是者一念心清淨豈有差別豈有J29nB223_p0050b11兩箇大眾莫妄想向者裏覷覷看倘覷得分明不枉J29nB223_p0050b12今日在山僧門下學道一番。」

晚參僧問:「知不到處切忌道著道著則頭角生大丈J29nB223_p0050b14夫須向異類中行意作麼生?」師云:「如犬吠景。」進云:「J29nB223_p0050b15鱗透網去四海任優游。」便行師便打乃云:「適纔想將J29nB223_p0050b16起來昨日出坡不覺打入葛藤窩裏通身羈絆只得J29nB223_p0050b17盡力斬之纔堪著腳及至歸來力倦極矣忽上繩床J29nB223_p0050b18瞌睡不成又想將起來原來一大臧教也是葛藤J29nB223_p0050b19七百則也是葛藤孔孟老莊也是葛藤諸子百氏也J29nB223_p0050b20是葛藤乃至普天匝地談玄說玅也是葛藤無有一J29nB223_p0050b21法一事不是葛藤者如要斬之使盡除非向者裏把J29nB223_p0050b22箇生來死去底頓在面前著實窮究窮究到心識不J29nB223_p0050b23言思路絕忽地得箇轉身始是無繫縛道人J29nB223_p0050b24或未然葛藤未有了日在。」

晚參師召眾云:「見麼山僧昨夜濃睡忽見諸人各各J29nB223_p0050b26攜手入寒冰去也急欲相救背後馬郎婦點鐙不覺J29nB223_p0050b27照斷夢竟醒將起來追悔不已如今你諸人跳出也J29nB223_p0050b28?」眾無對師起身云:「何須痴人前說夢?」

晚參舉丹霞燒木佛話頌云:「正賊不驗驗旁賊諸方J29nB223_p0050b30據款判不得當年船上謝三郎原是廣南釣魚客。」

晚參。「若論此事須是單刀直入更莫回顧你若根思J29nB223_p0050c02遲回不但失卻本領亦無參學眼也古人常云:『向威J29nB223_p0050c03音已前薦取父母未生前薦取未棒未喝前薦取J29nB223_p0050c04出方丈時薦取言語未形時薦取。』豈是謾語只是當J29nB223_p0050c05人不會故古人又立種種名形種種言作種種事J29nB223_p0050c06是一期方便女若不會真沒奈你何。」時太極先臧主J29nB223_p0050c07呈偈云:「因師省得此宗猷了無一物繫心頭三尺鋒J29nB223_p0050c08芒如白雪十方网兩伎全休。」師證偈云:「三尺吳鉤雪J29nB223_p0050c09刃寒堂堂拓出與人看有時能勝勤王力裨海馮君J29nB223_p0050c10一劍安。」

晚參:「石屋珙初見高峰不契萬法歸一之旨峰命J29nB223_p0050c12參及菴菴云:『何來?』珙云:『天目。』菴云:『有何言句示人?』J29nB223_p0050c13舉前話菴云:『女作麼生會?』珙云:『不會。』菴云:『此是死句J29nB223_p0050c14甚麼害熱病底教女與麼?』珙乃求的旨菴云:『有佛處J29nB223_p0050c15不得住無佛處急走過意旨如何?』珙又不會菴云:『J29nB223_p0050c16亦是死句。』珙大駭。」師云:「莫道權柄在手掜聚也在伊J29nB223_p0050c17裂破也在伊好我有三十柱杖要伊喫在何故放過J29nB223_p0050c18即不可。」僧問:「如何是萬法歸一?」師云:「魏安城裏月照J29nB223_p0050c19。」進云:「意旨如何?」師云:「六百般若一句通。」:「如何是J29nB223_p0050c20法身邊事?」師云:「此是疊翠峰西去雲霧山。」

晚參舉疏山倒屙因緣召眾云:「者便是學道利害處J29nB223_p0050c22今叢林視此事為泛常盍不知利害中复有利害在J29nB223_p0050c23女等切不可向者裏作容易直須有出身路方是J29nB223_p0050c24者如是不但坐斷今人要津抑連古人無地安排也J29nB223_p0050c25聽吾一頌肯兮不肯全歸重三十年中看倒屙萬壽J29nB223_p0050c26便歸方丈了是非取舍竟如何?」

晚參。「先達磨得大雄心印一葉東來初與梁武不契J29nB223_p0050c28乃止雒陽九年方得慧可盍大道簡易奚假繁詞J29nB223_p0050c29以得人之晚也者箇所在若形言詮反成魔魅末後J29nB223_p0050c30雖慧可禮拜歸位涉波濤付缽傳衣益為蹊徑J29nB223_p0051a01奈今之學者不見自性卻誚宗師家不通文字殊不J29nB223_p0051a02知一落詞鋒便成窠臼一涉脣吻便落下風況公然J29nB223_p0051a03章其文言以為不傳之道可乎不見先德恐上紙墨J29nB223_p0051a04山僧見近代以金屎訣為宗門要語南華雜學使學J29nB223_p0051a05者孰讀而長老日與學者講數遍烏乎大壞吾宗J29nB223_p0051a06斯人始余昨見天童老人中興祖道以為不承言J29nB223_p0051a07滯句使學者究此道之原如古昔之世孰知斯人一J29nB223_p0051a08法綱即解紐矣求道之士何由而得究竟哉山僧J29nB223_p0051a09觀金屎訣雖諸家言句中有不過借方語方便導引J29nB223_p0051a10豈有實法乎南華雜學雖文字高玅恐非性地實學J29nB223_p0051a11若以為事豈不與先宗左之邪爾輩既欲究明大道J29nB223_p0051a12不可將此作鏡體其害不細。」

晚參。「若論者事本無奇玅只要把作一件事自然了J29nB223_p0051a14得生死了得生死則知目前一切竟盡成受用盡是J29nB223_p0051a15我家裏物元不曾欠少本自具足要用即用有何隔J29nB223_p0051a16如是簡易不能活達者盍謂事存取舍理落是非J29nB223_p0051a17背覺合塵隨物流轉即目前竟翻成障礙如今若不J29nB223_p0051a18著緊一上何時得箇解脫?」

晚參僧問:「無門無善財意旨如何?」師云:「石人夜來天J29nB223_p0051a20外歸。」進云:「恁麼則兵隨令轉去也。」師便打:「有無不J29nB223_p0051a21涉時如何?」師云:「處處催歸深夜啼。」進云:「即今事又如J29nB223_p0051a22何道?」師云:「洛伽獨鎮海門東。」乃云:「半嶺寒煙疏林宿J29nB223_p0051a23翡翠之禽萬頃秋光白菊映冰霜之月木人提攜眾J29nB223_p0051a24石女撫掌三更若無金剛證盟幾乎灶婦笑倒J29nB223_p0051a25玄機獨唱貴圖作者知音玅用全施祇許上士委J29nB223_p0051a26故山僧法席幾處燒香數回糙破脣皮瀝盡肝膽J29nB223_p0051a27如今卻來者裏橫枕苔石獨坐高峰對谿邊楊柳日J29nB223_p0051a28往月遊共峰前麋鹿朝吟莫笑灌園蔬於竹畔鉏農J29nB223_p0051a29畝於山阿負薪歸來撥開盧頭熱燄鬻薇食罷展鋪J29nB223_p0051a30榻上蒲團諸仁者山僧既有如是自在且不涉二緣J29nB223_p0051b01一句又作麼生蟬聲不是無情甚祇為夜來時節催。」

晚參僧問:「如何是金剛眼?」師云:「玉兔出扶桑海門最J29nB223_p0051b21先照。」「如何是擇法眼?」師云:「當軒縣古鏡胡漢景無虧。」J29nB223_p0051b22如何是透關眼?」師云:「入門不舉手凡聖兩齊空。」「如何J29nB223_p0051b23是超宗眼?」師云:「閉門閒打坐冰雪五湖消。」乃云:「古佛J29nB223_p0051b24不出世亦無有涅槃祖師不西來亦無有直指佛既J29nB223_p0051b25出世祖既西來便有許多起模畫樣或作聖見或作J29nB223_p0051b26凡情若不是未曾行腳時便有本領底人盡被他弄J29nB223_p0051b27得一場慌亂然而說得如此痛快也要具箇眼目始J29nB223_p0051b28人亦有言:『不是弄潮人休入洪波裏。』所以你若穿J29nB223_p0051b29衣喫飯吾與女穿衣喫飯你若上單下單吾與女上J29nB223_p0051b30單下單你若惺惺吾與女惺惺你若寂寂吾與女寂J29nB223_p0051c01何故只為要箇打頭知尾底人。」

晚參僧問:「趙州見南泉時如何?」師云:「跛驢上高。」「J29nB223_p0051c03後如何?」師云:「不如未見。」乃云:「沒量大人挑鐙夜坐J29nB223_p0051c04覺坐久成勞遂致魔便打翻舊日病骨忽爾三百六J29nB223_p0051c05十骨節八萬四千毛孔一時攢促呻吟枕簟徹夜不J29nB223_p0051c06是時盡力呼盡力喚無人應卻自慰云:『女哎喲J29nB223_p0051c07繼阿箇可憐女女何不自淨其心是諸佛道:「恁麼也J29nB223_p0051c08只解靜處打坐不解鬧裏神通。」不見先宗道:「行於非J29nB223_p0051c09乃合佛道邪?」』如是知得便知黃面老子初生一手J29nB223_p0051c10指天一手指地天上天下惟吾獨尊是此病骨雪山J29nB223_p0051c11六年夜睹明星說寤得自家本命元辰是此病骨J29nB223_p0051c12十九年演一大臧教是此病骨末後拈華示眾迦葉J29nB223_p0051c13破顏微笑是此病骨迦葉倒竿阿難斷化是此病骨J29nB223_p0051c14乃至初祖東來分皮分髓是此病骨盧行者在黃梅J29nB223_p0051c15打碓拾得箇缽盂子是此病骨馬石互顯宗趣是此J29nB223_p0051c16病骨臨濟在黃檗棒下識得佛法無多子是此病骨J29nB223_p0051c17德山於龍潭吹滅紙鐙寤得不疑之道是此病骨J29nB223_p0051c18州親見南泉得平常心是道是此病骨雪峰向鼇山J29nB223_p0051c19鎮上成道是此病骨諸仁者不止如是即佛佛祖祖J29nB223_p0051c20橫說豎說總是此病骨山僧今日不覺走漏祕要J29nB223_p0051c21諸仁者於此承當去好還會麼十世古今煩惱焰J29nB223_p0051c22邊剎海瞋怒光。」

晚參。「禾山有鼓可打德山有歌可唱道吾有劍可舞J29nB223_p0053b17祕魔有叉可擎總不如長松者裏百不會百不管J29nB223_p0053b18只耦耕於石田蒔蔬於山圃龍泉清冽石漿甘美J29nB223_p0053b19則炊白飯燒青筍渴則烹雷牙鬻翠柳雖無佛法教J29nB223_p0053b20卻有一種清閒所以道水似琉璃山似玉眼前儘J29nB223_p0053b21有許來多。」

晚參。「去聖時遙而學人心術不古其來舊矣常觀曹J29nB223_p0053b23谿已還馬石而後猶以道眼未明為急務動即三二J29nB223_p0053b24十年於叢席中必欲辨明此事然後辭退向青山緣J29nB223_p0053b25水把茅盍頭尚有警曰:『雖得一念頓寤猶有無始虛J29nB223_p0053b26及見前流識未盡將此除去然後乃已。』近日學人J29nB223_p0053b27朝入叢林莫生位望不思法眼未明而徒欲慕此虛J29nB223_p0053b28將來何面見古人於地下乎兄弟家倘念先佛皇J29nB223_p0053b29皇鉅業赫赫宗功必立志如古人道眼一年不明J29nB223_p0053b30年不解初心道眼十年不明十年不解初心乃至百J29nB223_p0053c01千年亦如今日則何愁大法不獲明而寶位不獲J29nB223_p0053c02斷邪故又警曰:『十年五載不離叢林無人喚伊作啞J29nB223_p0053c03。』珍重。」

晚參豎拂子召眾:「者裏還見得麼若見得去江西J29nB223_p0053c05湖南一任提攜萬象撫憐赤子若見不得山僧者裏J29nB223_p0053c06有鬻有飯急將者事著實究竟不可今日也在書史J29nB223_p0053c07上翻明日也在經論上講有甚利益不見先德山J29nB223_p0053c08諸玄辦若一豪置於大虛竭世樞機似一滴投於巨J29nB223_p0053c09。』參學若不到此地步即將三臧五車一時背得J29nB223_p0053c10字不遺也只是箇經臧子如來常云:『記持十二部伽J29nB223_p0053c11不如一日修無漏業。』如今看來此非誅心之論邪J29nB223_p0053c12兄弟家只須信去更莫遲疑時日不多光陰有限J29nB223_p0053c13常一至噬齎莫及。」
