J28nB221_p0829a02 J28nB221_p0829a03師於甲寅春寓嘉興天寧寺,刻顓老人語錄,至丙J28nB221_p0829a04辰秋工竣,於九月望日束裝回豫。舟至吳門,值J28nB221_p0829a05本郡諸大護法、縉紳、孝廉、文學、士庶,暨諸山耆宿、J28nB221_p0829a06各剎知識、本寺經主、十地各師公啟請主楞嚴法J28nB221_p0829a07席,於J28nB221_p0829a08康熙十五年十月十五日進院。
J28nB221_p0829a09山門。師以拄杖指云:「大方門八字打開。」復劃云:「微玅J28nB221_p0829a10道不妨直入。」拽杖便進。
J28nB221_p0829a11彌勒殿。師云:「彌勒真彌勒,分身千百億。分身百億即J28nB221_p0829a12不問,且道那個是真彌勒?」遂進前拈香。
J28nB221_p0829a13韋馱殿。師云:「摧邪輔正,願力弘深,吾既不辜負汝,汝J28nB221_p0829a14亦不得辜負吾。如何是兩不辜負處?」遂彈指云:「恰。」
J28nB221_p0829a15佛殿。師久視云:「巍巍挺特,慈視眾生,新長老到來,且J28nB221_p0829a16作麼生相見?」遂展具大拜。
J28nB221_p0829a17伽藍堂。師云:「十方常住,賴汝維持,而今而後,呼之應J28nB221_p0829a18之。」遂拈香,云:「功驗太速。」
J28nB221_p0829a19祖師堂。師云:「者一夥老凍儂在者裏成群作隊,欺瞞J28nB221_p0829a20天下人,今日不肖遠孫也須別峰相見始得。何故聻?J28nB221_p0829a21明眼難瞞。」
J28nB221_p0829a22方丈。師云:「座已據,令當行,任是鍼鋒上走馬、劍刃上J28nB221_p0829a23翻身的,到來也須各喫三十痛棒。且道有什麼長處?」J28nB221_p0829a24驀拈拄杖,云:「一條楖栗當軒坐,鐵額銅頭也皺眉。」
J28nB221_p0829a25本日,諸護法請J28nB221_p0829a26上堂。師至法座前,拈疏云:「者是諸佛諸祖的正法眼J28nB221_p0829a27大光明藏,落在諸大護法毛錐子上,放光動地。今日J28nB221_p0829a28欲得山僧據款結案,諸人還會麼?會得,則洞明心地J28nB221_p0829a29了也;其或未然,再煩宣過。」宣畢,師指法座云:「獅王寶J28nB221_p0829a30座未許輕登,的骨兒孫方堪跨步。」喝一喝,便陞。師即J28nB221_p0829b01拈香云:「此一瓣香,天上天下最貴最尊,爇向爐中,端J28nB221_p0829b02為供養J28nB221_p0829b03南無本師釋迦牟尼文佛暨西天東土歷代祖師,伏J28nB221_p0829b04願傳燈續焰,慧命流通。」次拈云:「此一瓣香,光吞日月,J28nB221_p0829b05眼蓋乾坤,爇向爐中,端為祝延J28nB221_p0829b06今上皇帝聖躬萬歲萬歲萬萬歲,伏願道高堯舜,德備J28nB221_p0829b07禹湯。」次拈云:「此一瓣香,上格君心,下鍾民望,爇向爐J28nB221_p0829b08中,奉為J28nB221_p0829b09滿朝文武、闔國公卿、本省各憲,暨本郡道臺、府主、各J28nB221_p0829b10廳主、兩縣主、眾衙尊官,伏願永作朝廷砥柱,長為法J28nB221_p0829b11海金湯。」次拈云:「此一瓣香,靈山受囑,法社秉心,爇向J28nB221_p0829b12爐中,奉為J28nB221_p0829b13闔郡諸大護法、縉紳孝廉、文學碩德、諸多勳貴,伏願J28nB221_p0829b14德被鄉閭,光通梵宇。」次拈云:「此一瓣香,透金剛圈,吞J28nB221_p0829b15栗棘蓬,爇向爐中,奉為J28nB221_p0829b16各剎耆宿、諸大知識,并本寺經主、十地尊師,伏願道J28nB221_p0829b17化攸隆,慈風遠大。」次拈云:「此一瓣香,弘宗演教,卓古J28nB221_p0829b18振今,爇向爐中,專為供奉J28nB221_p0829b19開山長水法師、中興達觀和尚暨密藏大師,伏願門J28nB221_p0829b20庭水振於寰中,法化長宣於界內。」次拈云:「此一瓣香,J28nB221_p0829b21南參雲谷,喫盡鉗鎚;北見笑巖,親蒙印可。爇向爐中,J28nB221_p0829b22專為供養J28nB221_p0829b23中興曹谿堂上憨山師翁大和尚,伏願根深葉茂,源J28nB221_p0829b24遠流長。」次拈云:「此一瓣香,猛虎口中奪來,驪龍頷下J28nB221_p0829b25爭得?第五回拈出,爇向爐中,專為供奉J28nB221_p0829b26前住雲居山歸老紫竹林堂、上傳臨濟正宗三十世J28nB221_p0829b27傘居先師顓愚老和尚,用酬法乳之恩。」斂衣就座。金J28nB221_p0829b28明東巖和尚白椎云:「法筵龍象眾,當觀第一義。」師云:J28nB221_p0829b29「年來何事不歸山?也效諸方入鬧籃。多是諸公憐法J28nB221_p0829b30社,故將野衲下鉤竿。」以拄杖作釣勢云:「莫有上釣者J28nB221_p0829c01麼?」靈岳西堂問:「楞嚴古剎,藏典攸關,不是其人,難為J28nB221_p0829c02主席。今日和尚到來,且道得何三昧?」師便打,岳云:「與J28nB221_p0829c03麼則從上諸祖各各相持來也。」師云:「正要闍黎恁麼J28nB221_p0829c04道。」岳云:「只如十方賢善、四海衲僧一齊到來,又作麼J28nB221_p0829c05生接待?」師云:「各領三十痛棒。」岳云:「四大本空,五蘊非J28nB221_p0829c06有,棒從何處著落?」師復打,岳便喝,師又打,岳遂退步J28nB221_p0829c07云:「恁麼則龍得水時添意氣,虎逢山勢長威獰。」師云:J28nB221_p0829c08「是子本分事。」岳作禮云:「恭惟和尚萬福。」師云:「太也。」野J28nB221_p0829c09拙禪師問:「三乘十二分教到者裏也須結舌,且道如J28nB221_p0829c10何是奇特句?」師卓拄杖云:「會麼?」拙云:「恁麼則盡大地J28nB221_p0829c11俱得承此恩力去也。」師云:「如何是汝承恩得力處?」拙J28nB221_p0829c12云:「有賴和尚證明。」師云:「也須薦取始得。」拙以坐具覆J28nB221_p0829c13肩歸位,師云:「太殺伶俐。」僧問:「有龍無水時如何?」師云:J28nB221_p0829c14「足下升騰。」僧云:「有水無龍時如何?」師云:「乾坤浩蕩。」僧J28nB221_p0829c15云:「龍水俱到時如何?」師云:「萬里風雲,扶搖直上。」僧云:J28nB221_p0829c16「適值和尚到來,法雨繽紛,未審是何祥瑞?」師云:「微雨J28nB221_p0829c17灑階前,白雲覆其頂。」僧云:「恁麼則鴛鴦湖畔浪滔天。」J28nB221_p0829c18師云:「切忌淹殺。」乃云:「若論此事,必須向山僧未入楞J28nB221_p0829c19嚴已前直下會取,方較些子。若待擊鼓陞堂、拈錐豎J28nB221_p0829c20拂、立主立賓、行棒行喝,然後思量擬議,早已落二落J28nB221_p0829c21三,堪作什麼?諸仁者還會麼?會得,不妨與山僧同居J28nB221_p0829c22般若之堂、共入無為之化,此時正好披鶴氅、著羊裘,J28nB221_p0829c23向鴛鴦湖畔擲下絲綸、十字街頭打開布袋,婬房酒J28nB221_p0829c24肆大放癡憨,歌管絃樓自稱尊貴。果能如是,方許號J28nB221_p0829c25令人天、鉗鎚佛祖,倒用橫拈亦非分外;其或不爾,且J28nB221_p0829c26聽山僧開堂祝聖,格外商量一句。」良久,顧左右,云:「但J28nB221_p0829c27願皇風充宇宙,管教大地息干戈。」遂起立,云:「山僧道J28nB221_p0829c28荒德薄、學淺行疏,只宜雲壑耕棲,那堪利生接物?茲J28nB221_p0829c29因J28nB221_p0829c30闔郡諸大護法、諸山耆宿、各剎知識,暨本寺經主、十J28nB221_p0830a01地尊師,深憐楞嚴古剎法席久虛,特命山僧來斯主J28nB221_p0830a02席,建立綱宗、弘通大法,挽回先德之遺風、整肅前人J28nB221_p0830a03之龜鑑,山僧辭不獲已,只得勉強應命。嗣後須賴諸J28nB221_p0830a04人各各同心鼓舞、共力匡持,方不辜紫柏老人刺血J28nB221_p0830a05書聯、長水大師刳心註疏、密藏大師規模後學之苦J28nB221_p0830a06心也。既然如是,山僧今日不免炭中著墨、錦上鋪花,J28nB221_p0830a07索性為諸人滿口道破。」驀拈拄杖劃一劃,云:「達老引J28nB221_p0830a08錐留法社,長翁陞座雨花香,都盧一段西來意,今日J28nB221_p0830a09拈來復舉揚。」卓一卓,喝一喝。東巖和尚結座,云:「諦觀J28nB221_p0830a10法王法,法王法如是。」下座。
J28nB221_p0830a11當晚小參。師云:「從上諸祖建立門庭,莫不皆有成就。J28nB221_p0830a12今日山僧主持此席,且道還有成褫者麼?」良久,顧左J28nB221_p0830a13右,云:「諸兄弟!若向者裏成褫得,則規繩未展、法式先J28nB221_p0830a14行,寸刃不施、魔風已喪,自是叢林丕振、道化攸隆,十J28nB221_p0830a15方雲水爭歸、四海魚龍競舞,青青紫柏仍為郡邑觀J28nB221_p0830a16瞻、簇簇黃花更足人天賞鑑,同堂共住、聲氣相求,出J28nB221_p0830a17入周旋、頭頭合道。果能如是,要使灰頭羅漢出定揚J28nB221_p0830a18威、土面彌陀放光現瑞;其或不然,也須山僧握霧拿J28nB221_p0830a19雲與諸人排布一上。」復舉:「三聖道:『我逢人則不出,出J28nB221_p0830a20則便為人。』興化道:『我逢人則出,出則不為人。』」師云:「二J28nB221_p0830a21老疆界雖嚴,未免家風散誕。若是山僧,斷不作者般J28nB221_p0830a22見解。何故聻?出不出兮花正發,為不為兮點翠苔,但J28nB221_p0830a23願東風齊著力,一時吹入我門來。」拽杖歸方丈。
J28nB221_p0830a24茶話。「山僧入院已半月日矣,其中一出一入,周顧人J28nB221_p0830a25情,作揖打躬,咳唾掉臂,總與般若實相不相違背。汝J28nB221_p0830a26諸人在於二六時中,行住坐臥、一動一靜處,還與般J28nB221_p0830a27若實相不相違背麼?設若違背,則諸佛自諸佛,眾生J28nB221_p0830a28自眾生,有迷悟,有死生,早被聖凡關鎖隔絕了也,於J28nB221_p0830a29自己分中有何交涉?古人道:『日用事無別,惟吾自偶J28nB221_p0830a30諧,神通并玅用,運水及搬柴。』所以般若實相就在二J28nB221_p0830b01六時中,頭頭上顯、法法上彰,左右逢源,抑揚自在。汝J28nB221_p0830b02諸人還會麼?設若不會,山僧更有一則陳爛葛藤,再J28nB221_p0830b03為諸人舉破。昔日,鄧隱峰推車次,馬祖展腳在路上J28nB221_p0830b04坐,峰曰:『請師收足。』祖曰:『已展不縮。』峰曰:『已進不退。』乃J28nB221_p0830b05推車碾損祖腳。祖歸法堂,執斧子曰:『適來碾損老僧J28nB221_p0830b06腳底出來。』峰便出,於祖前引頸,祖乃置下斧子,歸方J28nB221_p0830b07丈。」師云:「者兩個漢,父子英雄,氣存千古,雖則為法亡J28nB221_p0830b08軀,未免鋒鋩太露。」復喝云:「法令當行,了無回互。」遂翹J28nB221_p0830b09足云:「今日眾中假如有個直前不退者,山僧亦不吝J28nB221_p0830b10者一足。有麼?有麼?」眾無語。師云:「風流賣盡諸方去,剩J28nB221_p0830b11得堂中趙老茶。」
J28nB221_p0830b12立規僉職,上堂。師至座下,以拂子打○相,云:「會麼?若J28nB221_p0830b13向者裏會得,立規僉職了也;其或未然,不免向曲彔J28nB221_p0830b14木上開兩片皮,播弄葛藤去也。」喝一喝,便陞,斂衣就J28nB221_p0830b15座,云:「孤掌不浪鳴,兩掌鳴摑摑,奉告知音者,那個是J28nB221_p0830b16先達?眾中莫有先達者麼?有則不妨出來相見。」靈岳J28nB221_p0830b17西堂問:「規條整肅,職事森嚴,和尚陞堂如何舉唱?」師J28nB221_p0830b18云:「獅鳴象吼,虎嘯龍吟。」進云:「且道泥人木馬還得知J28nB221_p0830b19音也未?」師卓拄杖,云:「是什麼?」進云:「獅鳴象吼,虎嘯龍J28nB221_p0830b20吟。」師便打,岳便喝,師又打,進云:「恁麼則寒風摧古木,J28nB221_p0830b21慧日轉蒼松。」師云:「腳跟下何不薦取?」進云:「也須和尚J28nB221_p0830b22證明始得。」師云:「高著眼。」芝庵知藏問:「入廛垂手即不J28nB221_p0830b23問,如何是大佛頂?」師打,云:「千聖莫能窺。」進云:「恁麼則J28nB221_p0830b24萬古楞嚴開寶藏,千秋大樹覆人天。」師云:「不勞讚歎。」J28nB221_p0830b25進云:「爭奈光輝大地?」師云:「留得雙眼覷雙眉。」進云:「者J28nB221_p0830b26是什麼所在?」師云:「卜度看。」巖碧副寺問:「祖席重開即J28nB221_p0830b27不問,頂珠突出事如何?」師云:「爍破四天下。」進云:「既然J28nB221_p0830b28如是,則現前大眾各各現大悲手眼去也。」師云:「親口J28nB221_p0830b29道出。」進云:「謝師指示。」師云:「也須會取。」僧一喝,歸位,師J28nB221_p0830b30云:「赫倒須彌。」竺庵悅眾問:「瑞氣凝空,香煙滿座,從上J28nB221_p0830c01綱宗,請師拈出。」師便打,進云:「恁麼則迦葉峰前金鳳J28nB221_p0830c02舞,洪崖谿畔玉雞啼。」師云:「都向此中著到。」進云:「正是J28nB221_p0830c03野老聲聲賀太平。」師云:「者消息那裏得來?」僧便喝,師J28nB221_p0830c04云:「者一喝未有落處在。」進云:「人天交接,兩得相應。」師J28nB221_p0830c05云:「喫棒有分。」乃舉:「昔日趙州會下有二僧相推不肯J28nB221_p0830c06作第一座,主事白州,州云:『總教伊作第二座。』主云:『第J28nB221_p0830c07一座教阿誰作?』州云:『裝香著。』主云:『裝香了也。』州云:『戒J28nB221_p0830c08香、定香、解脫香。』」師云:「趙州老漢慣用就裏金鎚輕輕J28nB221_p0830c09一擊,驚得獅鳴象吼、虎嘯龍吟,月映千江、雲投萬壑。J28nB221_p0830c10是則是,檢點將來也是拖泥帶水。若是楞嚴門下,並J28nB221_p0830c11無者般舉止。豈不見山僧一入門來,雲水皆歸、象龍J28nB221_p0830c12畢集,兩序排布於堂前、列職森羅於座後?然雖如是,J28nB221_p0830c13不免再為諸人從頭註破:第一座,千聖到來覷不破;J28nB221_p0830c14第二座,一曲巴歌少人和;第三座,美玉無瑕有幾個?J28nB221_p0830c15以及監院化士猛力承當、街坊化導,知客侍者,周顧J28nB221_p0830c16人情、進退有禮,香積廚善調在手,般若堂收放存心,J28nB221_p0830c17內外大眾莫不風行草偃、逆順相隨。既然,且道無位J28nB221_p0830c18真人作何良補?」復拈拄杖高豎,云:「號令人天,于法自J28nB221_p0830c19在。」卓一卓,喝一喝,下座。
J28nB221_p0830c20茶話。「設規條,僉職事,無非建立叢林;開爐韝,鍛聖凡,J28nB221_p0830c21總是敷揚法道。山僧初居此席,無補先人,煩賴諸人J28nB221_p0830c22各各發勇猛心、行真實行,饑則同餐、渴則同飲,不以J28nB221_p0830c23苦樂二其心、不以貧富奪其志,水陸勤劬、春秋耐守。J28nB221_p0830c24果能如是,則不惟繼續先風、開通後學,亦且正法眼J28nB221_p0830c25藏、涅槃玅心皆有承順之際。豈不見楊岐燈盞、寶壽J28nB221_p0830c26生薑、投子油瓶、溈山典座,歷來聲價如山之高、海之J28nB221_p0830c27深,不容絲毫假借、不費點滴週遮,自然轟轟烈烈展J28nB221_p0830c28演叢林、復興法道;其或未然,再聽山僧重下註腳。」良J28nB221_p0830c29久,顧左右,云:「大家出隻手,扶起破沙盆。」
J28nB221_p0830c30佛成道日,上堂。師拈香畢,驀豎拄杖,云:「釋迦老子來J28nB221_p0831a01也,在山僧拄杖頭上現大人相。眾中還有相見者麼?」J28nB221_p0831a02僧問:「頓捨皇宮,深居雪嶺,為什麼卻向泥蓮河畔出J28nB221_p0831a03現?」師云:「滴水滴凍。」進云:「與麼則滿目迦文無覓處。」師J28nB221_p0831a04云:「杲日麗中天。」進云:「大眾證明。」師打,云:「也須喫棒。」進J28nB221_p0831a05云:「明眼宗師,天然猶在。」師復打,云:「更須一頓。」問:「世尊J28nB221_p0831a06成道即不問,未降皇宮事若何?」師云:「退後三步看。」進J28nB221_p0831a07云:「降後如何?」師云:「進前三步看。」進云:「現今說法事如J28nB221_p0831a08何?」師便打,乃云:「年年此日臘月八,睹星悟道稱悉達,J28nB221_p0831a09無端眼裏著空華,殃及兒孫逞惡辣。惡辣且置,只如J28nB221_p0831a10世尊六載雪山勤行苦行、睹星悟道,檢點將來也是J28nB221_p0831a11眼中著屑。奇哉!一切眾生各各皆具如來智慧德相,J28nB221_p0831a12但因妄想執著不能證得,亦是虛空釘橛。山僧恁麼J28nB221_p0831a13告報,但要諸人向自己清白地上、威音已前一覷覷J28nB221_p0831a14破,始知本來寂淨,不立纖塵,海宴河清,十方洞徹。正J28nB221_p0831a15恁麼時,你諸人還委悉麼?若悉悉得,則滴水▆凍,可J28nB221_p0831a16以超過釋迦老子一頭地去;倘或不爾,再聽才上座J28nB221_p0831a17為汝道破。」遂拋下拄杖,云:「撲落非他物,縱橫不是塵」。J28nB221_p0831a18下座。
J28nB221_p0831a19野拙上座誕日,請上堂。竺庵悅眾問:「師登寶座,法雨J28nB221_p0831a20均霑,慶生一句如何舉唱?」師云:「海底泥牛銜月走。」進J28nB221_p0831a21云:「恁麼則蒼松增瑞彩,古鏡倍光輝。」師云:「雲中木馬J28nB221_p0831a22逐風嘶。」進云:「秖如未生一句又作麼生?」師云:「庭前翠J28nB221_p0831a23柏日參天。」進云:「情與無情,一齊慶生去也。」師云:「親言J28nB221_p0831a24出親口。」巖碧副寺問:「新春氣爽,遍界光生,今日到來,J28nB221_p0831a25是何祥瑞?」師云:「龜浮綠水,鶴舞蒼松。」進云:「亙古千秋J28nB221_p0831a26藏不住,當陽一句請師宣。」師打一棒。進云:「悟得無生J28nB221_p0831a27忍,即知向上機。」師復打,云:「也須知痛癢。」師以拂子一J28nB221_p0831a28拂,云:「三心坐斷,雲中木馬逐風嘶;一念不生,海底泥J28nB221_p0831a29牛銜月走。者箇境界不墮威音那畔,豈住今世門頭?J28nB221_p0831a30亙古亙今,無來無去,天地不能蓋載,萬物不能渾融,J28nB221_p0831b01歷歷孤光,了無遮障。諸仁者!還委悉麼?委悉得,則知J28nB221_p0831b02趙州百二、寶掌千秋總不出者箇境界;其或未然,也J28nB221_p0831b03須向生死岸頭、寒暄隊裏覷破一回,方許箇中有縱J28nB221_p0831b04有奪、有殺有活,隨方建立法幢,在處傳持祖道。今日J28nB221_p0831b05野拙上座母難之辰,特來楞嚴堂上萬佛期中設齋J28nB221_p0831b06飯眾,請山僧登座,舉揚向上宗乘,用報洪恩罔極。罔J28nB221_p0831b07極則且置,只如超群拔翠一句更作麼生道?」以拂子J28nB221_p0831b08一擊,云:「㘞地一聲消息斷,擎頭戴角出山來。」
J28nB221_p0831b09圓萬佛懺,請上堂。師云:「言前薦得未是英靈,句後承J28nB221_p0831b10當猶為鈍漢,秖如坐斷兩頭又作麼生?」顧左右云:「腳J28nB221_p0831b11跟自有通霄路,十聖三賢豈得聞?眾中莫有知音者J28nB221_p0831b12麼?」匡菴問:「第一義諦,三世諸佛口掛壁上,未審和尚J28nB221_p0831b13陞座更說何法?」師云:「只教人人立地。」進云:「東海鯉魚J28nB221_p0831b14打一棒,雨似傾盆,還超得多少?」師云:「地厚天高。」進豎J28nB221_p0831b15拳云:「金雞解銜一粒栗,供養十方羅漢僧,試問者一J28nB221_p0831b16粒從什麼處得來?」師打云:「你還夢見也未?」進云:「但願J28nB221_p0831b17好風生席上,年年吹入此門來。」師云:「閑言語。」德培居J28nB221_p0831b18士纔出,師便打,士便喝,師又打,士復喝,師復打,士拂J28nB221_p0831b19袖歸位,師云:「去則去,者兩喝未有落處在。」魯公范居J28nB221_p0831b20士問:「古云:『法筵龍象眾,當觀第一義。』如何是第一義?」J28nB221_p0831b21師云:「即今第幾義?」進云:「開口的是第二義,畢竟如何J28nB221_p0831b22是第一義?」師打云:「鈍置煞人。」進云:「和尚亦覺頂門重J28nB221_p0831b23麼?」師云:「更加一頓。」士一喝,師云:「何不親切道將來?」士J28nB221_p0831b24云:「鴛湖古渡,不駕舟航,如何過得?」師云:「一任浮沉。」無J28nB221_p0831b25跡張居士問:「如何是海底泥牛銜月走?」師云:「浪裏挂J28nB221_p0831b26燈毬。」「如何是巖前石虎抱兒眠?」師云:「切忌爪牙。」「如何J28nB221_p0831b27是鐵蛇鑽入金剛眼?」師云:「你向那裏去?」「如何是崑崙J28nB221_p0831b28騎象鷺鷥牽?」師云:「沒來由處有來由。」進云:「秖如離四J28nB221_p0831b29句、絕百非,意旨如何?」師打云:「無你開口處。」士禮拜歸J28nB221_p0831b30位,師云:「且放一著。」乃云:「一佛出世,萬佛證明,萬佛雲J28nB221_p0831c01臨,是誰恭敬?莫是現前大眾麼?既是現前大眾,且道J28nB221_p0831c02出世的是什麼佛?」驀豎拂子,云:「釋迦老子來也,在楞J28nB221_p0831c03嚴拂子頭上放大光明,出廣長舌,道:『我從此座上下J28nB221_p0831c04四維、東西南北、若遠若近、若邊若中,莫不有百千萬J28nB221_p0831c05億諸佛各居世界、各坐蓮華,放百寶無畏光明、說三J28nB221_p0831c06秉無窮妙法,開化一切群生、利益河沙國土,亦不離J28nB221_p0831c07當處而週遍十方。』今為現前大眾禮請殷勤,盡在老J28nB221_p0831c08瞿曇頂門中現身,汝等諸人四十日內眼同諸佛見、J28nB221_p0831c09耳同諸佛聞、舌同諸佛嘗、鼻同諸佛嗅、身同諸佛觸、J28nB221_p0831c10意同諸佛思,乃至一語一默、一動一靜,無不與三世J28nB221_p0831c11諸佛同一真常、同一受用。到恁麼時,方知海底泥牛J28nB221_p0831c12銜月走,崖前石虎抱兒眠,亦知此四句中有縱有奪、J28nB221_p0831c13有殺有活,不唯與萬佛眉毛廝結、氣宇相同,要且與J28nB221_p0831c14古人刀斫不入、斧劈不開,承此薰脩萬佛之因,以報J28nB221_p0831c15國王水土、檀信脂膏,情與無情一齊成等正覺;其或J28nB221_p0831c16未然,縱饒說盡三千七百葛藤,有何交涉?諸仁者!到J28nB221_p0831c17者裏還委悉麼?今日乃慧瀾、宇慈、清遠、南衡諸公領J28nB221_p0831c18眾設齋,特請山僧陞座,圓滿道場佛事,是以因齋慶J28nB221_p0831c19讚,與諸人作箇結角羅文,舉揚末後句子。且道如何J28nB221_p0831c20是末後一句?」良久,云:「人人自有天真佛,莫教辜負兩J28nB221_p0831c21莖眉。」揮拂,下座。
J28nB221_p0831c22佛誕日,兩序請上堂。師至法座前,以拂子打○相,一J28nB221_p0831c23喝便陞。師拈拄杖云:「釋迦老子來也,眾中有相見者J28nB221_p0831c24麼?」踞頂維那問:「今日釋迦降誕之辰,普天之下莫不J28nB221_p0831c25咸生恭敬,恭敬即不問,目前一句請師宣。」師云:「龍藏J28nB221_p0831c26亭前人影靜,雨花臺畔竹煙生。」進云:「恁麼則等閒識J28nB221_p0831c27得東風面,萬紫千紅總是春。」師云:「有眼還他窺不見。」J28nB221_p0831c28進云:「目前一句蒙師指,迦文降誕又如何?」師云:「寶篆J28nB221_p0831c29玉香騰瑞彩,人間天上布威儀。」進云:「正是當陽露出J28nB221_p0831c30摩醯眼,照徹乾坤萬里天。」師云:「正好喫棒。」進云:「有時J28nB221_p0832a01踏破千江月,密移一步看飛龍。」師云:「腳跟下更與二J28nB221_p0832a02十。」進云:「杖頭點出千峰翠,獨羨楞嚴第一枝。」師云:「者J28nB221_p0832a03段風流那箇知?」僧禮退,師乃云:「四月八日夜,皇宮生J28nB221_p0832a04悉達,周行七步太無端,指天指地漏七八,惟有雲門J28nB221_p0832a05跛腳師,一棒當頭要打殺,就中消息沒遮欄,惹得兒J28nB221_p0832a06孫遍塵剎,年年惡水驀頭澆,萬古千秋成話杷。眾中J28nB221_p0832a07還有知恩報恩者麼?」良久,卓拄杖,喝一喝,下座。
J28nB221_p0832a08不動菴,三聚禪宿像前燒香。師云:「般若妙體,無去無J28nB221_p0832a09來;自性天真,不生不滅。恭惟順寂三聚老禪宿,世壽J28nB221_p0832a10七十九載,僧臘六十七年,悟性空而恒持金剛般若,J28nB221_p0832a11厭塵俗以不入十字街頭。整規繩,垂教誡,子孫各各J28nB221_p0832a12爭先;嚴淨土,肅威儀,檀越人人信實。一生解脫,視事J28nB221_p0832a13空華,每以無住為心,清淨自守。是以山僧舊冬來居J28nB221_p0832a14此席,得接片語,己識高明,但恨情偏,向懸崖撒手。今J28nB221_p0832a15值山僧托缽遠歸,特叩像前,拈一瓣香,略申道懷。」顧J28nB221_p0832a16左右云:「且道者老宿面目即今在什麼處?」遂進前鳴J28nB221_p0832a17指云:「彈指頓超空劫外,相看惟此一爐香。」
J28nB221_p0832a18中元,小參。靈嶽西堂問:「中元令節,諸方解制之辰,楞J28nB221_p0832a19嚴今日未審作何條段?」師云:「秖教人人一回汗出。」進J28nB221_p0832a20云:「一居十字街頭,終日擾擾;一居深山窮谷,盡日閒J28nB221_p0832a21閒。且道此二人到來還有偏正也未?」師云:「總無交涉。」J28nB221_p0832a22進云:「勝負未分人力盡,徒勞汗馬不矜功。」師云:「似地J28nB221_p0832a23擎山。」進云:「白雲乍可來青嶂,明月難教下碧天。」師云:J28nB221_p0832a24「此後秋風漸漸涼。」進云:「伏惟和尚珍重。」遂禮退,師乃J28nB221_p0832a25云:「諸兄弟!者一夏來,人人果得一回汗出麼?古德云:J28nB221_p0832a26『若端的得一回汗出,一莖草上現瓊樓玉殿;若端的J28nB221_p0832a27不得一回汗出,玉殿瓊樓被一莖草覆卻。』」師云:「此老J28nB221_p0832a28立論雖高,未免打作兩橛,不能令人通身爽快。楞嚴J28nB221_p0832a29則不然,若端的得一回汗出,一莖草即瓊樓玉殿;若J28nB221_p0832a30端的不得一回汗出,玉殿瓊樓即一莖草。此話有縱J28nB221_p0832b01奪殺活,如辨別得出,今古是同;辨別不出,天地懸隔。J28nB221_p0832b02豈不見古人云:『似地擎山,不知山之孤峻?』所以,諸方J28nB221_p0832b03一味放行,楞嚴依然把住。何故聻?」驀拈拄杖一卓,云:J28nB221_p0832b04「芒鞋脫卻雖超越,缽袋仍懸舊案頭。」
J28nB221_p0832b05中秋,示眾。師云:「靈山指月,曹溪話月,馬祖玩月,者三J28nB221_p0832b06箇漢雖然一體為人,未免多存知見,惹得後代兒孫J28nB221_p0832b07俱作色塵流布,正所謂貪觀天上月,失卻手中橈。楞J28nB221_p0832b08嚴者裏則不然。」驀拈月餅,云:「圓復缺,缺復圓,一輪皎J28nB221_p0832b09潔照山川,倘能直下離聲色,自是閻浮別有天。」
J28nB221_p0832b10結制,眾居士請上堂。師至座前,以拂子打○相,云:「會J28nB221_p0832b11麼?設若會得,不勞如何若何;其或未然,也須直透上J28nB221_p0832b12頭關,更為諸人饒舌去也。」便陞。師云:「十方同聚會,個J28nB221_p0832b13個學無為,此是選佛場,心空及第歸。眾中還有心空J28nB221_p0832b14及第者麼?」靈嶽西堂問:「籬邊菊蕊枝枝綻,屋後松枝J28nB221_p0832b15樹樹蒼,三月安居即不問,今朝陞座請敷揚。」師云:「杲J28nB221_p0832b16日當空,雲水畢集。」進云:「今日開爐結制,鍛煉聖凡,且J28nB221_p0832b17道還有不受鉗鎚者麼?」師云:「有。」進云:「在什麼處?」師喝,J28nB221_p0832b18進亦喝,師云:「再喝一喝看。」進云:「男兒自有翀霄志,不J28nB221_p0832b19向前人行處行。」師打,云:「更須喫棒始得。」進云:「與麼則J28nB221_p0832b20黃金失色,瓦礫生光去也。」師云:「親口道出。」進云:「龍歸J28nB221_p0832b21大海方尊貴,水到瀟湘一樣清。」師云:「須是恁麼。」嶽禮J28nB221_p0832b22退。范雲閒居士問:「天地以萬物為芻狗,聖人以百姓J28nB221_p0832b23為芻狗,未審祖師門下以何為芻狗?」師卓拄杖,云:「會J28nB221_p0832b24麼?」士云:「恁麼則十方同聚會,凡聖盡交參。」師云:「向甚J28nB221_p0832b25麼處著腳?」士一喝,師便打,士云:「和尚棒折了也。」師連J28nB221_p0832b26打,士云:「古人道:『懸崖撒手,自肯承當,絕後再甦,欺君J28nB221_p0832b27不得。』正與麼時,還有為人處也無?」師以杖橫案,云:「識J28nB221_p0832b28取者箇。」士作禮,云:「謝和尚慈悲。」師顧左右,云:「卻有證J28nB221_p0832b29明在。」乃云:「楞嚴今日開爐,以大地為禪堂,以虛空為J28nB221_p0832b30爐鞴,以日月為火炬,以南嶽、天台為鉗錘,于中水陸J28nB221_p0832c01空行、飛禽走獸、森羅萬象、草木叢林,若聖若凡、若佛J28nB221_p0832c02若祖,各類其類、各種其種,各證無上妙道、各轉無上J28nB221_p0832c03法輪。諸仁者!還信麼?若信得及,寒則加衣、熱則趨涼,J28nB221_p0832c04饑來喫飯、困來打眠,作一無事道人,豈不快哉?雖然J28nB221_p0832c05如是,無為無事人猶有金鎖難,必須三月安居、九旬J28nB221_p0832c06禁足,三條椽下、七尺單前,豎起脊梁、鼓定雙眸,看箇J28nB221_p0832c07狗子無佛性話,直看到水窮山盡、絕後再甦,撒手懸J28nB221_p0832c08崖欺若不得,方與此事少分相應。設若不然,楞嚴為J28nB221_p0832c09諸人道破。」遂牽衣云:「衲衣之下本來人,畢竟者回親J28nB221_p0832c10見面。」復舉:「趙州初參南泉,問云:『如何是道?』泉云:『平等J28nB221_p0832c11心是道。』州云:『還假趨向否?』泉云:『擬向即差。』州云:『不擬,J28nB221_p0832c12焉知是道?』泉云:『道不屬知、不屬不知,知是妄覺、不知J28nB221_p0832c13是無記。若真達不疑之道,猶如太虛廓然虛豁,豈可J28nB221_p0832c14強是非耶?』州便言下大悟。」師云:「南泉老漢被趙州一J28nB221_p0832c15問,只得順水推船,不解逆風把柂。趙州雖然大悟,也J28nB221_p0832c16是眼見空華。檢點將來,二大老未免無過。今日設有J28nB221_p0832c17人問楞嚴:『如何是道?』便與道:『山門前東通天寧、西通J28nB221_p0832c18三塔。』畢竟如何?」以拄杖卓一卓,下座。
J28nB221_p0832c19燄慧菴祖安禪師陳母濮氏對靈小參。師至像前,以J28nB221_p0832c20拄杖打○相,云:「圓明玅體,本無去以無來;幻質匪堅,J28nB221_p0832c21示有生而有滅。恭惟清故,恩表貞節。陳門濮氏孺人J28nB221_p0832c22正值三週除靈之期,有孝子祖安禪師,道風遠馥、德J28nB221_p0832c23業孤隆,知生母恩深難以酬報,特請高流熏修誌公J28nB221_p0832c24寶懺,深酬罔極之恩。今日山僧復為舉揚大法,且道J28nB221_p0832c25大法作麼生?」舉:「昔有文殊問菴提遮女:『生以何為義?』J28nB221_p0832c26女云:『生以不生生為生義。』殊云:『如何是生以不生生J28nB221_p0832c27為生義?』女云:『若能明知地、水、火、風四緣未嘗自得,有J28nB221_p0832c28所和合而隨其所宜,是為生義。』殊云:『死以何為義?』女J28nB221_p0832c29云:『死以不死死為死義。』殊云:『如何是死以不死死為J28nB221_p0832c30死義?』女云:『若能明知地、水、火、風四緣未嘗自得,有所J28nB221_p0833a01離散而隨其所宜,是為死義。』菴提遮女問文殊云:『明J28nB221_p0833a02知生是不生之理,為什麼被生死之所流轉?』殊云:『其J28nB221_p0833a03力未充。』」師云:「文殊慣拋絲綸,菴提遮女隨釣便上,者J28nB221_p0833a04兩箇漢慣打葛藤,猶繫樁橛,至今不知性命在。今日J28nB221_p0833a05若有人問楞嚴,便與他道:朝朝白雲起峰頂,日日紅J28nB221_p0833a06輪東復西。」以拄杖一卓。
J28nB221_p0833a07除歲,上堂。師乃云:「一年三百六十日,數到今朝歲已J28nB221_p0833a08畢。」驀拈拄杖高豎,云:「唯有者具老藤條,無是無非無J28nB221_p0833a09變易。無變易,雨花臺畔逞風流,那管人間名與利?名J28nB221_p0833a10利則且置,秖如林下道人除歲一句又作麼生?」良久,J28nB221_p0833a11喝一喝,云:「當陽一喝催殘臘,野老謳歌賀太平。」下座。
J28nB221_p0833a12元旦,上堂。拈香祝 聖畢,晦嶽西堂白椎云:「法筵龍J28nB221_p0833a13象眾,當觀第一義。」師云:「元正啟祚,萬象初回,斬新句J28nB221_p0833a14子,是誰和得?眾中還有和得者麼?」爾天副寺問:「昨日J28nB221_p0833a15除夕陞座,今朝元旦上堂,除夕元旦即不問,一年四J28nB221_p0833a16季佛法請師當陽顯出。」師云:「從頭問將來。」進云:「如何J28nB221_p0833a17是春景佛法?」師云:「大地春回芳草綠,梅花幾點洩天J28nB221_p0833a18機。」進云:「如何是夏景佛法?」師云:「杲日當空紅燄烈,薰J28nB221_p0833a19風吹水芰荷香。」進云:「如何是秋景佛法?」師云:「千紅萬J28nB221_p0833a20紫歸何處?黃葉紛飛滿地金。」進云:「如何是冬景佛法?」J28nB221_p0833a21師云:「寒徹骨。」進云:「四季佛法已蒙師指,即今祝聖一J28nB221_p0833a22句作麼生?」師云:「皇圖鞏固,帝道遐昌。」進云:恁「麼則萬J28nB221_p0833a23民有賴去也。」師云:「且莫詐明頭。」爾一喝,師打云:「再犯J28nB221_p0833a24不容。」野拙禪師問:「新年頭佛法即不問,秖如梅影橫J28nB221_p0833a25窗知月上,花香入戶覺春來,如何是知時識候的句?」J28nB221_p0833a26師云:「今朝正月初一日。」進云:「山中無曆日,寒盡不知J28nB221_p0833a27年,如何是不涉春秋的句?」師豎拄杖云:「且道者箇還J28nB221_p0833a28有春秋也無?」進云:「秖如古人道:未得以前,被十二時J28nB221_p0833a29轉;已得之後,使得十二時。如何是使得十二時的句?」J28nB221_p0833a30師卓拄杖,云:「你還使得者箇麼?」進云:「恁麼則峰頭歲J28nB221_p0833b01月頻來往,誰識壺中別有天?」師打,云:「正好喫棒。」拙禮J28nB221_p0833b02拜,歸位。師舉云:「香嚴道:『去年貧,未是貧;今年貧,始是J28nB221_p0833b03貧。去年貧,猶有卓錐之地;今年貧,錐也無。』洞山道:『去J28nB221_p0833b04年富,未是富;今年富,始是富。去年富,唯有一領墨黲J28nB221_p0833b05布褊衫;今年富,添得一條百衲山水袈裟。歲朝抖擻J28nB221_p0833b06呈禪眾,實謂風流出當家。』」師云:「者兩箇漢,一箇道貧、J28nB221_p0833b07一箇道富,揀點將來,未免兩俱無過。楞嚴者裏也不J28nB221_p0833b08道貧、也不道富,行住坐臥只平常,一日三餐飯與粥,J28nB221_p0833b09大家喫得飽欣欣,不是凡兮不是佛。諸兄弟!還會麼?J28nB221_p0833b10若會得,便知二老落處;知二老落處,始識大地春回J28nB221_p0833b11芳草綠,梅花幾點洩天機。正恁麼時,秖如今日拈香J28nB221_p0833b12祝 聖一句作麼生道?」良久,拈香獻爐,云:「八荒歌有J28nB221_p0833b13道,四海樂無虞。」以拄杖卓一卓。結椎,云:「諦觀法王法,J28nB221_p0833b14法王法如是。」便下座。
J28nB221_p0833b15解制。野拙上座領眾居士設齋,上堂。師至座前,以拄J28nB221_p0833b16杖橫肩,云:「燈王古佛來也,諸人還見麼?若直下見得,J28nB221_p0833b17山僧便把手共行;其或未然,且看為諸人更進一步。」J28nB221_p0833b18便陞。晦嶽西堂白椎畢,師云:「解開布袋口,獅兒曠自J28nB221_p0833b19偶,百獸絕形蹤,群狐遠奔走,若是真獅子,不妨對眾J28nB221_p0833b20吼。」問:「上元令節,家家鑼鼓爭先;聖制已圓,人人腳跟J28nB221_p0833b21點地。聖制即不問,如何是然燈已前句?」師良久。進云:J28nB221_p0833b22「如何是然燈已後句?」師一喝。進云:「如何是正燃燈句?」J28nB221_p0833b23師云:「家家觀世音,處處然燈佛。」進云:「燈傳無盡心無J28nB221_p0833b24盡,如何是心燈?」師云:「正好喫棒。」進作禮,云:「恭惟和尚J28nB221_p0833b25萬福。」師云:「大家在裏許。」乃云:「三月安居,一期事竣,諸J28nB221_p0833b26兄弟還有向銀山鐵壁透得底麼?還有向獅子項下J28nB221_p0833b27解得鈴底麼?還有向驪龍頷下取得珠底麼?還有向J28nB221_p0833b28猛虎口中奪得食底麼?若具如是手段,方可干木隨J28nB221_p0833b29身,逢場作戲,隨處建立,遇緣即宗。脫或未能,切須身J28nB221_p0833b30心寂靜,掃脫根塵。所以,古人道:『一念萬年去,寒灰枯J28nB221_p0833c01木去,休去歇去,古廟香爐去,冷愀愀底去。』忽然向無J28nB221_p0833c02陰陽地上撞破虛空腦蓋,豁開然燈面門,方許東去J28nB221_p0833c03西去,勘驗諸方,收放自由,縱橫無礙。到恁麼時,可以J28nB221_p0833c04續佛慧命,接物利生,亦不負今日野拙上座暨眾居J28nB221_p0833c05士設齋請山僧為諸人解制,舉揚大法。大法則且置,J28nB221_p0833c06秖如末後羅紋結角一句又作麼生道?」良久,云:「七縱J28nB221_p0833c07八橫隨例去,前途腦後重三觔。記取,記取。」師以兩手J28nB221_p0833c08靠拄杖。結椎,下座。
J28nB221_p0833c09平湖幼文居士請為先室孺人對靈小參。師至靈前,J28nB221_p0833c10以拂子打○相,云:「者是金門張氏孺人本來面目,若J28nB221_p0833c11會得,生也未曾生,死也未曾死,生死本來空,萬法皆J28nB221_p0833c12如此。既是生死本空,畢竟不死不生底者箇面目即J28nB221_p0833c13今何在?」豎起拂子,云:「者裏會得,自性靈虛,十方洞徹,J28nB221_p0833c14時時自在自由,處處隨宜解脫。所以道:隨順世緣無J28nB221_p0833c15罣礙,涅槃生死等空華。到恁麼地,便是張氏孺人出J28nB221_p0833c16身的所在。然雖如是,猶是入理之談,尚未是超情離J28nB221_p0833c17見、獨脫之句。且道:作麼生是獨脫之處?」以拂子一擊,J28nB221_p0833c18云:「竹密不妨流水過,山高豈礙白雲飛?」
J28nB221_p0833c19八月初三日,益之羅居士六旬禮懺設齋,請上堂。師J28nB221_p0833c20至座前,云:「突出虛空是甚麼?」以拄杖一卓,云:「若向者J28nB221_p0833c21裏會得,早已為居士祝讚了也;其或不然,不免為諸J28nB221_p0833c22人註破去。」便陞。晦嶽西堂白椎畢,師舉:「古德云:『天地J28nB221_p0833c23與我同根,萬物與我一體。』天地萬物則且置,只如喚J28nB221_p0833c24甚麼作我聻?眾中有撿點得的麼?出來試撿點看。」野J28nB221_p0833c25拙問:「諸佛洪名即不問,未審即今諸佛居何國土?」師J28nB221_p0833c26云:「總在楞嚴寺裏。」進云:「一音演出無今古,八百椿齡J28nB221_p0833c27孰與齊?」師云:「千歲老兒顏似玉,萬年童子鬢如絲。」進J28nB221_p0833c28云:「恁麼則有意氣時添意氣,不風流處也風流。」師拈J28nB221_p0833c29棒,云:「好與三十僧作禮。」機先問:「師登寶座,四眾雲臻,J28nB221_p0833c30向上宗乘即不問,因齋慶讚事如何?」師云:「杲日正當J28nB221_p0834a01空。」進云:「一句無私含宇宙,萬象騰輝耀古今。」師云:「切J28nB221_p0834a02須記取。」僧以坐具打○相,歸位,師云:「放過一著。」靜遠J28nB221_p0834a03問:「慶誕一句即不問,法王座上有何垂示?」師劈脊便J28nB221_p0834a04棒。進云:「除卻一棒作麼生道?」師又棒,僧退步,云:「某甲J28nB221_p0834a05即不然。」師云:「倒退三千里。」僧作禮,歸位。師乃云:「麗天J28nB221_p0834a06杲日,爍破虛空面門;匝地金風,拂開森羅萬象。紅蓮J28nB221_p0834a07丹桂,常飄劫外之香;翠柏喬松,時露生前之態。春秋J28nB221_p0834a08不落,靈苗常滋,無古無今,無終無始。秖如今日益之J28nB221_p0834a09居士母難之辰,入寺禮懺飯眾,兼請山僧舉揚大法。J28nB221_p0834a10只如大法作麼生舉?若以第一義諦為君壽,個中不J28nB221_p0834a11存元字腳;若以百億須彌為君壽,早已一鎚擊碎;若J28nB221_p0834a12以四大海為君壽,被古德一口吸盡;若以十方世界J28nB221_p0834a13為君壽,被一切諸佛坐斷。若恁麼去,把斷要津,不通J28nB221_p0834a14凡聖。然雖事無一向,山僧向者裏只得格外商量。」驀J28nB221_p0834a15豎拄杖,云:「我知百億須彌,一一須彌有百億日月,而J28nB221_p0834a16君之壽命亦如百億須彌,一一須彌有百億日月。四J28nB221_p0834a17大海無有窮盡,而君之壽命亦無有窮盡;十方世界J28nB221_p0834a18無有邊際,而君之壽命亦無邊際;第一義諦不可思J28nB221_p0834a19議,而君之壽命亦不可思議。所以道:一為無量,無量J28nB221_p0834a20為一,大中現小,小中現大,不動道場,遍十方界。到恁J28nB221_p0834a21麼地,秪如今日因齋慶讚末後一句作麼生道?」良久,J28nB221_p0834a22一卓,云:「千歲老兒顏似玉,萬年童子鬢如絲。」下座。
J28nB221_p0834a23為歡喜庵足音禪友燒香法語。師至像前,久視,云:「大J28nB221_p0834a24家正好常相聚,何意懸巖撒手回?萬象叢中無個事,J28nB221_p0834a25喜君獨露兩莖眉。今日山僧托缽遠歸,無何致奠,特J28nB221_p0834a26備薄供,聊表道懷。且道足音上人還來受也未?」師遂J28nB221_p0834a27進前,拈香插爐,云:「香煙堆裏全身現,盡日逢人不覆J28nB221_p0834a28藏。」

中道眾生輪迴J28nB221_p0834b19世間,有二顛倒,分別見妄,皆由妄想業識,夢寐往來,J28nB221_p0834b20念念覓相續心,無片時寧靜。若向者裏轉念,孰管伊J28nB221_p0834b21見見非見?總為燈上之圓影,那安排夢魂生死、西方J28nB221_p0834b22東方之有哉?所以道:一念相應,掃除凡聖。其中覓影J28nB221_p0834b23像了不可得,真也是眚,妄也是眚,求西方也是眚,成J28nB221_p0834b24佛作祖也是眚,參禪學道也是眚,夫妻求引也是眚,J28nB221_p0834b25眚亦是𤯞。既然如是,且向那裏著腳?既無著腳處,今J28nB221_p0834b26日山僧將已上種種夢幻,以龜毛束作一橛,用兔角J28nB221_p0834b27杖挑向南湖,令他當下翻身,不使重生異念,亦免逐J28nB221_p0834b28妄逐真,拋家散走。還有人救得麼?咦!翻洋須是弄潮J28nB221_p0834b29手,縱步沖雲跨九霄。

J28nB221_p0835a24僧作禮,師問:「從那裏來?」僧云:「福嚴。」師以手指杖云:「福J28nB221_p0835a25嚴還有者箇麼?」僧云:「有則有,不堪舉似和尚。」師云:「試J28nB221_p0835a26舉看。」僧云:「實不堪舉。」師云:「腳跟下放汝三十棒。」僧云:J28nB221_p0835a27「只得禮三拜。」師云:「早已奪卻了也。」
J28nB221_p0835a28僧參,師問:「從那裏來?」僧云:「楊墳來。」師云:「楊墳為你說J28nB221_p0835a29個什麼?」僧云:「平常。」師云:「楊墳是善知識,你為什麼道J28nB221_p0835a30他平常?」僧云:「若不平常,焉得是善知識?」師舉拳,云:「你J28nB221_p0835b01道楊墳與者個是同?是別?」僧便作禮,師云:「腳跟下放J28nB221_p0835b02你三十棒。」
J28nB221_p0835b03一爾尼來參,禮拜次,師問:「你一向做什麼來?」爾云:「海J28nB221_p0835b04底泥牛啣月走。」師云:「忽遇石獅子,作麼生迴避?」爾云:J28nB221_p0835b05「彼此沒交涉。」師云:「且道石獅子與泥牛有甚奇特?」爾J28nB221_p0835b06云:「石獅眼裏火星飛,泥牛背上翻白浪。」師休去。
J28nB221_p0835b07師落堂打七,舉:「昔有僧問洞山:『如何是佛?』洞云:『麻三J28nB221_p0835b08觔。』又僧問雲門:『如何是佛?』門云:『乾屎橛。』且道乾屎橛J28nB221_p0835b09與麻三觔是一?是二?」爾尼出眾云:「一則總一,二則總J28nB221_p0835b10二。」師云:「為什麼如是?」爾云:「人人觀世音,箇箇彌陀佛。」J28nB221_p0835b11師云:「者老尼猶說道理在。」爾便彈指云:「道理那?」師乃J28nB221_p0835b12打一香板云:「汝試頌出看。」爾禮拜云:「請和尚先頌。」師J28nB221_p0835b13云:「如何是佛麻三觔?說與傍人笑轉新。」爾即續云:「八J28nB221_p0835b14萬四千稱不足,一齊分付定盤星。」師云:「如何是佛乾J28nB221_p0835b15屎橛?信手拈來作禪悅。」爾又續云:「十字街頭馬大郎,J28nB221_p0835b16喫著明明滋味別。」師云:「卻是汝會。」爾便拜。
J28nB221_p0835b17解七日,師落堂問眾畢,復云:「眾中還有要老僧證明J28nB221_p0835b18者麼?」爾尼作禮云:「昔日龐老龐婆有馬祖證明,且道J28nB221_p0835b19今日是甚麼人證明?」師云:「大眾與汝證明。」爾云:「馬祖J28nB221_p0835b20說法與和尚說法是同是別?」師以如意擊香几云:「會J28nB221_p0835b21麼?」爾云:「某甲秖得禮謝和尚。」師乃舉起衣云:「大庾嶺J28nB221_p0835b22頭提不起的,汝試道一句看。」爾遂接衣云:「適纔道過J28nB221_p0835b23了也。」師指衣云:「怎奈者個何?」爾披衣便珍重九拜,師J28nB221_p0835b24云:「善自護持。」
J28nB221_p0835b25僧參,作禮畢,請問和尚:「某甲千里遠來,乞師一接。」師J28nB221_p0835b26云:「曾作什麼來?」僧云:「西邊補籬,東邊揀漏。」師云:「者裏J28nB221_p0835b27用不著。」僧以臥具覆頭作女人拜,師云:「弄虛頭漢。」直J28nB221_p0835b28打出。
J28nB221_p0835b29僧參,問:「師唱誰家曲?宗風嗣阿誰?」師云:「三更明月傳J28nB221_p0835b30消息,音韻元從河北來。」僧云:「今日親見臨濟大師。」便J28nB221_p0835c01作禮,師劈頭一棒,云:「照顧頂門。」
J28nB221_p0835c02僧參,師問:「從那裏來?」僧云:「十八澗。」師云:「你那一澗?」僧J28nB221_p0835c03云:「覿面相呈。」師云:「有甚言句?」僧豎拳,云:「秖有者個。」師J28nB221_p0835c04云:「燒了你又作麼生?」僧便喝,師云:「未在,更道。」僧云:「學J28nB221_p0835c05人不道。」覆具便行。師云:「放汝三十棒。」
J28nB221_p0835c06師問慧力侍者:「你在都城清化堂中道個虛空粉碎、J28nB221_p0835c07大地平沉,今日嘉禾楞嚴堂中不見子露個消息。」者J28nB221_p0835c08云:「某甲到這裏了無消息。」師云:「不易到這個田地。」者J28nB221_p0835c09便作禮,師拋下香板,者拾香板便行,師云:「子得之,受J28nB221_p0835c10用不盡。」者以香板度,師云:「某甲自有。」師接住便打,者J28nB221_p0835c11便喝,師復打,者接住拉一拉便行,師微笑云:「這杜撰J28nB221_p0835c12漢。」

J28nB221_p0835c19師問呼山侍者:「你在青州住,聞有布衫重七觔,是否?」J28nB221_p0835c20者云:「重八觔。」師彈指云:「是七?是八?」者云:「不勞重舉。」師J28nB221_p0835c21云:「未在,更道。」者云:「教學人道個什麼?」師云:「速禮三拜。」J28nB221_p0835c22者拂袖便行,師休去。

禮阿彌陀佛偈有引
J28nB221_p0835c29丁巳夏,郡之天寧寺為千佛閣傾頹有年。時主席J28nB221_p0835c30者指開法師講《法華》諸經,募眾修補,兼造大悲相J28nB221_p0836a01告成,欲立閣下為大悲堂,第無主佛,不合時宜為J28nB221_p0836a02慮耳。幸郡之紳衿葵石朱翁、孟高張翁、元中徐翁J28nB221_p0836a03同為計議,知長蕩沈府家菴有彌陀佛一尊,庵廢J28nB221_p0836a04佛存,僅無焚所,遂聞之蘧林張翁,敬聞于郡主盧J28nB221_p0836a05翁,乞迎為堂之補住焉。不期盧翁公冗旁午,喜捐J28nB221_p0836a06途費命迎,其不足之資,轉托鶴田陸翁代為完美。J28nB221_p0836a07是時陸翁家于平湖,宦于侍御,不憚河途窵遠,不J28nB221_p0836a08拘服飾尊崇,大破慳囊,赤身擔荷。議者曰:一葉扁J28nB221_p0836a09舟,煙波往返,得無勞乎?買舟以迎,貿金以飾,得無J28nB221_p0836a10費乎?人所不能耳。豈知陸翁宿植德本,善荷如來J28nB221_p0836a11慧命,不生退屈者哉?故郡之緇衣,法語謖謖;郡之J28nB221_p0836a12素衣,文章簇簇。以誌以銘,為賀為揚。獨山僧前此J28nB221_p0836a13托缽他方,不遑緣例,今值開光之辰,虔率諸子過J28nB221_p0836a14寺頂禮,喜其佛之莊嚴殊勝,不異西方境耳。特作J28nB221_p0836a15俚言,一頌護法之功德,一祝彌陀之遐齡云。

J28nB221_p0836b04師諱法會,號雲谷,嘉善胥山懷氏子。生於弘治庚申,J28nB221_p0836b05出世投本邑大雲寺落髮。年十九,即決志操,方受具J28nB221_p0836b06法,舟濟禪師住郡之天寧,師往參,舟授以念佛審實J28nB221_p0836b07話頭,令重下疑情,師日夜參究。一日受食,碗忽墮地,J28nB221_p0836b08有省。復請益舟,乃蒙印可。閱《宗鏡錄》,大悟唯心之旨,J28nB221_p0836b09從此經教公案,了然如睹家中故物。於是韜晦叢林,J28nB221_p0836b10陸沉賤役。時江南佛法禪道絕聞,師至金陵,寓天界。J28nB221_p0836b11魏國先王聞之,請于西園供養。報恩住持西林僧錄J28nB221_p0836b12司,即憨山和尚。太祖往禮師,即請住本寺之三藏殿,J28nB221_p0836b13足不越閫者三年。師辭,拽杖之棲霞,誅茅千佛嶺下,J28nB221_p0836b14影不出山。太宰五臺陸公偶遊棲霞,見師氣宇不凡,J28nB221_p0836b15雅重之。信宿山中,欲師重興其寺,師堅辭,舉嵩善公,J28nB221_p0836b16住持不久,叢林大成,皆師之力也。道場既成,往來者J28nB221_p0836b17眾,一時宰官居士聞師道風,往往造謁。西林僧錄復J28nB221_p0836b18請師主報恩方丈,憨祖時為童子,親近執侍,師器之。J28nB221_p0836b19憨翁年十九,有不欲出家意,師知之,問曰:「汝何背初J28nB221_p0836b20心也?」憨翁曰:「第厭其俗耳。」師曰:「汝知厭俗,何不學高J28nB221_p0836b21僧?當取《傳燈錄》、《高僧傳》讀之,則知之矣。」憨翁即簡書J28nB221_p0836b22笥,得《中峰廣錄》,持白師。師曰:「熟味此,即知僧之為貴J28nB221_p0836b23也。」憨翁由是決志薙染,實蒙師之開發,乃嘉靖甲子J28nB221_p0836b24歲也。丙寅冬,師集五十三人結禪期於天界,師力拔J28nB221_p0836b25憨翁入眾同參,指示向上,教以念佛審實話頭,是時J28nB221_p0836b26南都始知有宗門事。了凡袁公未第時參師,相對默J28nB221_p0836b27坐三日夜,師示以唯心立命之旨,公奉教,由是師道J28nB221_p0836b28日益重。隆慶辛未,憨翁辭師北參,師囑曰:「佛法在汝J28nB221_p0836b29肩頭,慎勿忽之。」憨翁禮別。壬申,嘉禾吏部尚書吳公、J28nB221_p0836b30刑部尚書鄭公、平湖五臺陸公與弟雲臺同請故山,J28nB221_p0836c01諸公常入室問道請益,執弟子禮。達觀可禪師常同J28nB221_p0836c02尚書陸公、中書徐公謁師,扣華嚴宗旨,師為發揮四J28nB221_p0836c03法界圓融之妙。師住山四十餘年如一日,脅不至蓆,J28nB221_p0836c04終身禮誦,未常輟一夕。師居鄉三載,所蒙化千萬計。J28nB221_p0836c05一夜,四鄉之人見師庵中火發,及明趨視,師寂然而J28nB221_p0836c06逝矣。萬曆三年乙亥正月初五日,師生於弘治庚申,J28nB221_p0836c07世壽七十有五,僧臘五十有六。弟子真印等茶毘,葬J28nB221_p0836c08于棲真寺右。憨翁離師,遍參知識,未見操履平實,真J28nB221_p0836c09慈安詳之。若師者,每興想師之音聲色相,昭然心目,J28nB221_p0836c10以感法乳之深,故至老而不能忘也。前于丁巳歲東J28nB221_p0836c11遊,赴沉定凡居士齋,禮師塔于棲真,乃建塔院,置供J28nB221_p0836c12贍田,少盡一念也。正印叨為憨翁法孫,昔親近顓愚J28nB221_p0836c13老人,老人常為印言:「憨先師初參雲谷大師,深蒙開J28nB221_p0836c14發向上一著,故至老常不忘也,子當知之。」印聞有三J28nB221_p0836c15十載,在識田中不去。甲寅年,至嘉禾,寓天寧,刻老人J28nB221_p0836c16語錄,入楞嚴藏板。今丙辰七月初二工竣,攜一二子J28nB221_p0836c17往棲真,禮師塔前,九頓起立,師塔忽倒,印疑之。師逝J28nB221_p0836c18于明之萬曆三年,至今大清有一百零二年,可為久J28nB221_p0836c19矣,何緣印至而塔倒?想法脈之有係,又或是師弟子,J28nB221_p0836c20前師之弟子名真印,今印名正印,是荷願而來,為師J28nB221_p0836c21重修塔事,未可知也。印讀了凡袁公作師塔銘,未詳。J28nB221_p0836c22師嗣臨濟下斷橋一枝,故憨翁作師傳,刻于全集,行J28nB221_p0836c23世久矣。亦以傳中有係於法道處,一一錄之,刻之于J28nB221_p0836c24石,以傳後世,知古人操履真實由來也。是為記。

湖州天然禪院碑記
J28nB221_p0836c28湖郡長邑之有天然禪院也,去城東南四十里許,有J28nB221_p0836c29鄉曰維新,有區曰嘉會,目山其里,下吳其村,山明水J28nB221_p0836c30媚,霞蔚雲蒸,鳥啼花笑于村前,鶯囀葛覃于秀谷,郊J28nB221_p0837a01有田可耕,地有桑可植,曠遠平湖,天然其處。是處也,J28nB221_p0837a02得不為異人之居乎?乃有居士吳永壽,法名明一,室J28nB221_p0837a03人蔣氏,法名明性,宿植德本,一其身心,不憤而啟、不J28nB221_p0837a04悱而發,聞一善言、見一善行,莫不書之紳、蘊之心,以J28nB221_p0837a05俟因緣時至而躬行焉。由是修行念切,不及離塵,先J28nB221_p0837a06于某年月日,夫婦同心禮師,起名受戒,將俗室而為J28nB221_p0837a07苾芻之堂,用伊蒲以代葷酒之饌,晨昏課誦,日夕焚J28nB221_p0837a08修,悟法華之最勝三昧,明金剛之不壞真詮,即女即J28nB221_p0837a09男而不揀,非僧非俗以全提。及乎親友之交也,談吐J28nB221_p0837a10間,必以世諦而擊之,佛法而導之。雖然,此猶居士在J28nB221_p0837a11家修積之所,未為出家行道之處也。是以前此之際,J28nB221_p0837a12自捐金若干,建立精舍一區,額天然禪院,門墻素雅,J28nB221_p0837a13梁棟輝煌,佛像莊嚴,靡不微妙。算其層也,前廠山門,J28nB221_p0837a14中聳佛殿,後之方丈,亦同其列。數其傍也,廚寮、庫寮J28nB221_p0837a15八楹間,齋堂、客堂六楹間,前有月池鑑其心,後有塔J28nB221_p0837a16基鎮其地。紀其時也,康熙乙卯年四月朔二日經營J28nB221_p0837a17其始,本年六月十九日告報其成。又思歲月遙長,不J28nB221_p0837a18可無諸恒產,因置僧田十二畝,基塘三畝有零。自是J28nB221_p0837a19而後,聽其十方雲來,不足以慮僧堂之供贍也。仍于J28nB221_p0837a20是年九月十八日,恭請臨濟第三十三世石泉和尚J28nB221_p0837a21進主方丈,開堂祝 聖,說法安禪,煆煉四海雲流,開J28nB221_p0837a22鑿人天眼目,兼之應時焚守,以待居士之緣熟,為僧J28nB221_p0837a23居此,透生前之面目,披世後之羅籠,弘揚法化于今J28nB221_p0837a24時,繼續燈傳于異日。爰有時乎拈禪版,挾蒲團,趺于J28nB221_p0837a25綠竹青楊之澳,當其白雲流水之機,吾知其得于此J28nB221_p0837a26者,信可樂也。居士又喜此一坐具地,在于諸山祖庭J28nB221_p0837a27之中,西之有吳山端獅子,南之有霞霧山石屋,東之J28nB221_p0837a28有道場山,北之有龍華寺,雲水往來,交參相繼,此乃J28nB221_p0837a29居士建剎緣起之底意,吾孰得而知之?吾居禾之楞J28nB221_p0837a30嚴禪寺,往來苕霅之間,與市人親,與居士契。而居士J28nB221_p0837b01一日過吾寓,問吾心餘,時告以其事。曰:「弟子有天然J28nB221_p0837b02禪院者,欲得和尚記之,以證將來之稽考也。」吾良久J28nB221_p0837b03曰:「雖不文,然見居士乘願而來,有此勝心,作此勝事,J28nB221_p0837b04皆吾法門有幸,有補後人之志者,豈可堅然而不為J28nB221_p0837b05之者哉?」遂援筆書斯,用為之記。
為夢文禪宿封龕眾居士請
J28nB221_p0837b07師至龕前,拈拄杖指龕云:「諸仁者!還知此老麼?設若J28nB221_p0837b08不知,山僧不免為諸人饒舌一上。三十年來住此菴,J28nB221_p0837b09蒲團一箇坐忘緣,如今拋卻塵寰去,定入西方上品J28nB221_p0837b10蓮。然雖如是,此老猶是不唧溜,留者殼漏子,要山僧J28nB221_p0837b11為伊掩卻。且道即今作麼生掩?」以杖封龕云:「雲龕箇J28nB221_p0837b12裏閒消息,今古從來不許通。」拽杖便行。
為悟雲禪德舉火
J28nB221_p0837b14師以火炬打○相,云:「杲日當空紅燄煖,寒風颯颯面J28nB221_p0837b15門開,箇中者段真奇特,說與禪人任往來。莫挨排,腳J28nB221_p0837b16跟下事甚奇哉!且道如何是腳跟下事?」喝一喝,擲下J28nB221_p0837b17火炬,云:「風流賣盡無餘事,朵朵紅蓮脫垢胎。」
