J38nB433_p0993a02一閻浮提,降兩聖人。東西分化,南北風聞。假布衣而J38nB433_p0993a03幽贊王綱,捨軒冕而鼓舞黎庶。止商▆之威,以助養J38nB433_p0993a04於生生;導春風之和,用飾喜於元元。其教澤流注千J38nB433_p0993a05古,沛然莫之能禦也。第學鄹魯者,以存心養性為談J38nB433_p0993a06柄;學指月者,以明心見性為口籍。究其踐履天光、咀J38nB433_p0993a07嚼德性,如龜毛之服、兔角之梯,不惟舉世罕逢,即曠J38nB433_p0993a08代亦未之聞也。吁!是不亦說在飛龍之先,而行在跛J38nB433_p0993a09鱉之後與?我達磨鼻祖,憫聖道之式微,迴狂瀾於既J38nB433_p0993a10倒,航海達番,適梁如魏,開法藥於少室,授心印於神J38nB433_p0993a11光,而教外別傳之旨,始得揚溢乎神州,以致燈燈續J38nB433_p0993a12焰,昭若日星矣。我慈雲老人冢孫天圓法兄,世嫡純J38nB433_p0993a13備德公,坐斷報化佛頭,卻來峽上呈橈,恰遇兩大參J38nB433_p0993a14府睿初傳公、鳴山王公,善識其人,挽入月峽名藍,施J38nB433_p0993a15格外鉗錘,煆銅頭鐵額,予奪不下臨濟,縱橫雅稱楊J38nB433_p0993a16岐。一日持錄入山,徵余序弁,灼然言與佛符、行與祖J38nB433_p0993a17契。方之今據猊床者,求其如公之洞然大觀,拈提無J38nB433_p0993a18▆,包攝八荒,融通萬有,彈指為經,掉臂為法,亦不多J38nB433_p0993a19覯矣。噫嘻!賁我東塔祖風,舍吾姪而誰與?是以不禁J38nB433_p0993a20舌木瀾翻。偈言曰:嚼碎冰輪物外遊,眼光爍破四神J38nB433_p0993a21洲。而今把斷黃牛峽,不放狂瀾泙湃流。

J38nB433_p0993c04康熙丙午歲,師受參府傅公、遊府魏公請,住黃陵月J38nB433_p0993c05峽禪院語錄。
J38nB433_p0993c06山門。師以杖指門云:「門開八字,路設一乘,孤迥迥J38nB433_p0993c07廓似太虛,洞玄玄明如杲日。山僧今日到來,且道入J38nB433_p0993c08門一句又作麼生?」驟步云:「舉步直超千聖外,十方世J38nB433_p0993c09界總毘盧。」
J38nB433_p0993c10禹殿。「聖矣哉!功匹河山。大矣哉!德同天地。山僧今J38nB433_p0993c11日遭逢,佛法從斯肇起。咦!不是神通妙用,實乃法爾J38nB433_p0993c12如然。」
J38nB433_p0993c13佛殿。「佛身克滿於法界,普現一切群生前。」目顧左J38nB433_p0993c14右云:「見麼?目似青蓮,面如滿月。」展具便拜。
J38nB433_p0993c15據室。「據此室,行此令,顯佛祖家風,開人天正印,要J38nB433_p0993c16識吾宗格外機,杖頭有眼明如鏡。」
上堂。於傅公手中J38nB433_p0993c17接疏示眾云:「者個是昔日靈山會上付囑國王大臣J38nB433_p0993c18的,落在我傅公手裏,山僧不敢囊藏,拈來當陽揭示。J38nB433_p0993c19諸人會麼?若也會得,不須重說偈言;其或未然,卻請J38nB433_p0993c20維那宣過。」法座。「者個蘇迷盧座,巍巍然無見其頂,蕩J38nB433_p0993c21蕩乎莫測其涯,山僧到來作麼可上?」卓杖云:「幸有山J38nB433_p0993c22形拄杖子,昂然扶上寶華王。」遂陞。拈香云:「此瓣香經J38nB433_p0993c23塵沙劫而不朽,歷億萬年以常新,爇向爐中,端為祝J38nB433_p0993c24延J38nB433_p0993c25今上皇帝聖躬萬歲萬萬歲,伏願J38nB433_p0993c26聖祚彌隆逾劫石,王畿永固越塵沙。」再拈香云:「此瓣J38nB433_p0993c27香雖無聲臭,卻有宏為,放去太虛莫能載,收來毛竅J38nB433_p0993c28可藏身,爇向爐中,奉為 滿朝文武、闔國公卿並本J38nB433_p0993c29府本州當道尊官,惟願生生作國家柱石,世世為法J38nB433_p0993c30道金湯。」次拈香云:「此瓣香拳踢相應,過犯彌天,棒喝J38nB433_p0994a01交馳,冤深逾海,爇向爐中,供養我現住夔府百福山J38nB433_p0994a02天圓堂上傳臨濟正宗第三十三世耳毒先師太和J38nB433_p0994a03尚,用酬法乳之恩。」斂衣就坐。維那白椎云:「法筵龍象J38nB433_p0994a04眾,當觀第一義。」師卓杖云:「盪出扁舟劈浪斜,飄然徹J38nB433_p0994a05透碧光華。」以杖作釣勢云:「直饒四海金鱗也,一釣從J38nB433_p0994a06茲不困沙。眾中有透海者麼?出來與山僧相見。」僧問:J38nB433_p0994a07「覿面相承,請師著棒。」師便打,僧便喝,師云:「上座猶有J38nB433_p0994a08根塵在。」僧擬議,師云:「徒遭點額歸。」問:「和尚陞堂說法J38nB433_p0994a09即不問,如何是黃陵境?」師云:「嵐煙翠折峰橫挂,碧海J38nB433_p0994a10漩流岸曲斜。」進云:「如何是境中人?」師云:「八面玲瓏四J38nB433_p0994a11海客,十方透脫五湖僧。」進云:「人境俱奪時如何?」師云:J38nB433_p0994a12「可惜林巒裏,無人問落花。」僧佇恩,師打,云:「龍頭蛇尾J38nB433_p0994a13漢。」乃云:「立教明宗,活捉龍蛇手腳,乃能直下承當;安J38nB433_p0994a14邦定國,生擒虎兕機關,方可全身擔荷。所以,祖師心J38nB433_p0994a15印狀似鐵牛之機,去即印住,住即印破。只如不去、不J38nB433_p0994a16住,印即是?不印即是?於斯擬議,錯過三關,少涉思惟,J38nB433_p0994a17白雲萬里。致使三世諸佛半放不下、歷代祖師全提J38nB433_p0994a18不起、一大藏教詮註不及、伶俐衲僧自救不了。正恁J38nB433_p0994a19麼時作麼生履踐?」喝一喝,云:「振奮吒沙無向背,爍迦J38nB433_p0994a20羅眼不能窺。雖然如是,幸參府傅公夙承佛記、久種J38nB433_p0994a21靈根,在在新圓覺伽藍、處處建祗園精舍,率眾復修J38nB433_p0994a22大悲樓閣、觀音聖像,敦請山僧陞此寶座,大展華嚴J38nB433_p0994a23法席,闡揚微笑宗風,指入毘盧性海,洞開樓閣院門,J38nB433_p0994a24俾塵塵剎剎無不明然、物物頭頭悉皆顯現,所謂色J38nB433_p0994a25心不二、空有齊彰,理事圓融、一多無礙,祝一人有慶、J38nB433_p0994a26祈諸宦多祥。如是功勳且置,謳歌帝力一句作麼生J38nB433_p0994a27道?大朝天子坐明堂,四海生靈盡安枕。」結椎,云:「諦觀J38nB433_p0994a28法王法,法王法如是。」下座。
J38nB433_p0994a29上堂。「明明歷,洞玄玄,杳無聲臭闊無邊,徹底搜尋無J38nB433_p0994a30一物,有何佛法與君傳?雖然,只得丁一卓二、放兩拋J38nB433_p0994b01三,向無言處形言、無相中設相。」驀豎拄杖,召眾云:「會J38nB433_p0994b02麼?若能物我渾無礙,剎土無非是佛身。」
J38nB433_p0994b03亭珮鄒公誕辰,請上堂。「仔細思公果異然,端於火內J38nB433_p0994b04種青蓮,只饒烈焰猛風起,華更馨香色更鮮。今日是J38nB433_p0994b05我鄒護法初度之辰,請山僧陞座舉揚個事,正所謂J38nB433_p0994b06處塵勞而作出世功勳、居火宅而獲清涼道果,在在J38nB433_p0994b07助揚法化、處處輔弼宗猷,王事、佛事並行,君恩、親恩J38nB433_p0994b08共報。山僧別無所示,憑拈七尺烏藤,發明本地風光,J38nB433_p0994b09亦爾因齋慶讚。」卓拄杖,云:「會麼?從斯不變入元常,永J38nB433_p0994b10證金剛無量壽。」
J38nB433_p0994b11樂登科居士披剃,請上堂。問:「盡大地是學人一隻眼,J38nB433_p0994b12盡乾坤是學人一卷經,念到水窮山盡處時如何?」師J38nB433_p0994b13云:「且道轉身句看。」僧作禮,師云:「忘前失後漢。」乃云:「昨J38nB433_p0994b14是俗流今是僧,翻然換轉舊時人,方袍圓頂從斯著,J38nB433_p0994b15八難三途更不侵。如是,則知樂氏子宿秉靈根,具大J38nB433_p0994b16智力,頓脫塵勞而直超物外,踏翻苦海而直證菩提,J38nB433_p0994b17有如是因,獲如是果,豈小補哉?雖然,猶有向上一路J38nB433_p0994b18在。作麼生是向上一路聻?」良久,云:「行到水窮處,自有J38nB433_p0994b19轉身時。」
J38nB433_p0994b20結制,上堂。「黃陵堂上,弘開爐鞴,揮龜毛拂,譚空說有,J38nB433_p0994b21握兔角杖,打雨敲風,重重露布,種種蔓延,外無他說。J38nB433_p0994b22總之,欲諸人將歷來無明種子、業識根芽盡情拋向J38nB433_p0994b23大冶紅爐之中,一火頓淨,絲髮不存,成一箇空空洞J38nB433_p0994b24洞的物件、活活鱍鱍的東西,隨高隨下,無彼無此,處J38nB433_p0994b25虎穴魔宮之中不起畏心,居梵宇瑤池之上不生喜J38nB433_p0994b26念,如木如石、如山如水,不但與天地同根、萬物一體,J38nB433_p0994b27上與諸佛同一鼻孔遼天,下與眾生同一腳跟點地,J38nB433_p0994b28到個般田地,方可言結言解。其或未然,各依本位,念J38nB433_p0994b29茲在茲始得。且道兩頭截斷、中道不居一句作麼生J38nB433_p0994b30道?披簑獨立千峰外,引水澆蔬五老前。」
J38nB433_p0994c01上堂。「真空湛寂,無臭無聲;一性圓明,無餘無欠。為甚J38nB433_p0994c02諸人不能直下承當去?休將閒學解,埋沒祖師心。」
J38nB433_p0994c03佛成道日,傳戒,上堂。「正眼當陽,明如杲日;真柔格外,J38nB433_p0994c04廓似太虛。只得峭峗峗,玲瓏八面;孤迥迥,透徹十方。J38nB433_p0994c05致使深機莫能考究,千聖無以比倫,把住諸法無遺,J38nB433_p0994c06普令群英有作。今世尊成道之辰,乃諸人圓戒之日,J38nB433_p0994c07黃陵不敢囊藏,故爾和盤托出。」驀豎拄杖,召眾,云:「會J38nB433_p0994c08麼?萬里神光頂後相,雪山南面是阿誰?」
J38nB433_p0994c09念一唐居士請上堂。「冰河發燄,洞明劫外真風;陸地J38nB433_p0994c10蓮敷,香遍大千世界。所以,根深蒂固,流遠淵長。故於J38nB433_p0994c11宦海之中,了知夢幻空花;文字堆頭,撥出本來面目。J38nB433_p0994c12特入山中,請山僧陞座,發明靈山奧旨,揭示少室宗J38nB433_p0994c13風。山僧只得將無作有,應物隨機。」驀拈拄杖,卓一卓,J38nB433_p0994c14云:「會麼?無法與君堪對說,惟憑此個作單傳。」復卓一J38nB433_p0994c15卓,下座。
J38nB433_p0994c16解制,度一居士請上堂。問:「結制已前即不問,解制一J38nB433_p0994c17句作麼生?」師云:「不費纖毫力,始末一時收。」進云:「解制J38nB433_p0994c18後如何?」師云:「徐行踏斷水流聲,縱觀寫出飛禽跡。」僧J38nB433_p0994c19作禮,云:「謝和尚指示」。師云:「逢人切莫亂舉。」乃云:「怪哉J38nB433_p0994c20一夜降濃霜,艸木昆蟲盡著忙,獨有黃陵拄杖子,搖J38nB433_p0994c21唇鼓舌話郎當。說到一切法無解、一切法無結,恁麼J38nB433_p0994c22說話大似孟八郎。何以故?雖大圓鏡中無解無結,且J38nB433_p0994c23建化門內有合有開,況拄杖子在山僧手裏?所以把J38nB433_p0994c24住放行惟在我,縱橫殺活豈由他?如斯解結得明、開J38nB433_p0994c25合得所,方可握上上鉗鎚、用衲僧巴鼻,處處烹佛煆J38nB433_p0994c26祖、方方洞智化愚,使一切人返本還源、歸根得旨,則J38nB433_p0994c27不孤譚居士千里來山供眾,請山僧登曲彔木床、彈J38nB433_p0994c28沒絃琴、歌無生調,共樂昇平。敢問大眾:風清古格即J38nB433_p0994c29且置,聖制告圓一句作麼生道?彈指圓成八萬門,一J38nB433_p0994c30超直入如來地。」
J38nB433_p0995a01解制,天圓本師命專使至,上堂。「把住要津,不通凡聖;J38nB433_p0995a02截斷眾流,豈容走作?所以,童龍難徹底,雛鳳易迷巢。J38nB433_p0995a03今日幸我天圓古佛起大慈悲,廣設伊蒲,命某甲陞J38nB433_p0995a04曲彔木床,彰殊勝境,向人天眾前略露些子,只得揮J38nB433_p0995a05太阿劍、擲無孔錘,將生死根株一刀兩段、明暗窠窟J38nB433_p0995a06一鎚粉碎,只教八面通明、十方洞徹,以大千界為伽藍、J38nB433_p0995a07恆沙國作法席,優游自在,豈不暢快?何必區區以長J38nB433_p0995a08期短限相為拘執者哉?不見道:東勝神州射箭,西瞿J38nB433_p0995a09耶尼中垛。縱有如是奇特,且拈向一邊。且道:為眾解J38nB433_p0995a10制一句作麼生道?」揮拂子,云:「慇懃為解丁香結,放出J38nB433_p0995a11枝頭自在春。」下座。
J38nB433_p0995a12佛成道日,上堂。「昨夜迥然一事奇,鷲峰𨁝跳上須彌,J38nB433_p0995a13剎塵透入剎塵去,天上人間總不知。所以世尊三昧,J38nB433_p0995a14迦葉不知;迦葉三昧,阿難不知;至於開堂演教尊宿J38nB433_p0995a15三昧,諸人不知,惟佛與佛乃能知知。山僧不惜眉毛,J38nB433_p0995a16再三舉似。昨夜世尊睹明星悟道,發顛騎鷲峰,向諸J38nB433_p0995a17人鼻孔中出出入入,週旋往返,復向拄杖頭上回觀J38nB433_p0995a18大地眾生,即高聲歎云:『奇哉!一切眾生皆有如來智J38nB433_p0995a19慧德相,只因妄想執著,不能證得。』者老漢恁麼說話,J38nB433_p0995a20大似壓良為賤。山僧忍俊不禁,只得震威一喝,滿面J38nB433_p0995a21慚惶,倒退而去。不見道:心、佛、眾生,三無差別。詎出此J38nB433_p0995a22語耶也?是則雖似,似則未是。何也?梅須遜雪三分白,J38nB433_p0995a23雪卻輸梅一段香。」
住大悲禪院語錄
J38nB433_p0995a25康熙壬子年,師受本州文武紳衿等請,創建秭歸佛J38nB433_p0995a26興山大悲禪寺語錄。
J38nB433_p0995a27上樑,上堂。拈香,云:「此瓣香非天地所產,是一無手人J38nB433_p0995a28攜一無底藍子,直入無影林中採來,結而為雲,蓋覆J38nB433_p0995a29三千世界;化而為雨,普滋大地眾生。爇向爐中,供養J38nB433_p0995a30本師釋迦牟尼佛、大悲觀音大士,致祝J38nB433_p0995b01當今皇帝萬歲萬萬歲,皇后齊年、太子千秋,闔國公J38nB433_p0995b02卿、滿朝文武、本府本州大護法、文武縉紳、諸大檀越,J38nB433_p0995b03惟願壽山聳翠挂當陽,福海騰波橫大地。」斂衣就坐。J38nB433_p0995b04白槌竟,師以拂子指空,云:「盡虛空是一重大悲殿,遍J38nB433_p0995b05法界是一尊大悲像。其殿之闊也,莫測其涯;其像之J38nB433_p0995b06高也,無見其頂。羅十虛而無盡,包三界而有餘。十方J38nB433_p0995b07碧落為門,百億須彌作陛。日月為燈,千古長明不夜;J38nB433_p0995b08雷霆作鼓,四時普振中天。其大悲大人端居其中,乘J38nB433_p0995b09悲願力現百千億身,一一身具千百億手眼,一一手J38nB433_p0995b10眼執千百億器械,一一器械有千百億作用,隨緣赴J38nB433_p0995b11感,應現無窮。或以宰官身得度者,即現宰官身而為J38nB433_p0995b12說法;或以長者、居士、童男、童女等身得度者,即現如J38nB433_p0995b13是身而為說法。徹底老婆心,古今無間歇。怎奈法大J38nB433_p0995b14機小而不領悟?山僧忍俊不禁,只得向大中現小、小J38nB433_p0995b15中現大,將無作有、將有作無,於殿中起殿、門內安門,J38nB433_p0995b16從無見頂相中現一尊有見頂像,使人睹像生善,易J38nB433_p0995b17入其門。如是建立,則不辜我副府州侯二位大人率領J38nB433_p0995b18通州文武諸大檀越於斯捐金鼎建,盡力維持,成千J38nB433_p0995b19古名藍,作萬世規模。試問大眾:如何是建立一句?古J38nB433_p0995b20剎重開敷五葉,傳燈千古更新名。」下座。
J38nB433_p0995b21進新方丈,小參。「此剎永為諸佛坐,山僧權借一枝棲,J38nB433_p0995b22惟冀慈光恆攝授,悉令眾善獲菩提。」以拄杖卓一卓,J38nB433_p0995b23云:「向此居,行此令,何憂魔佛不歸正?七尺烏藤任縱J38nB433_p0995b24橫,十方剎海悉安靜,忽若金鱗攫霧來,當頭一棒開J38nB433_p0995b25心印。」驀豎拄杖,云:「且道者個具甚威光便有如是行J38nB433_p0995b26逕?」復卓杖,云:「咦!莫怪他家得自由,從前曾竭於明聖。」
J38nB433_p0995b27佛成道日,眾居士請上堂。舉拄杖云:「山僧毫無佛法,J38nB433_p0995b28憑這烏藤打殺,有不顧危亡者麼?」月幢問:「和尚陞堂J38nB433_p0995b29即不問,世尊成道作麼生?」師和聲一棒云:「不唧溜漢。」J38nB433_p0995b30月即喝,師復打,月又喝,師又打云:「再喝一喝看。」月拂J38nB433_p0995c01袖歸位。問:「如何是本分事?」師卓杖云:「覿面相呈。」進云:J38nB433_p0995c02「此事不在內外中間,畢竟在甚麼處?」師打一棒云:「且J38nB433_p0995c03道在甚麼處?」問:「如何是萬法歸一?」師云:「天上有星皆J38nB433_p0995c04拱北。」進云:「一歸何處?」師云:「人間無水不朝東。」問:「有一J38nB433_p0995c05金毛師子露爪張牙,請和尚看。」師云:「者畜生。」惟一趙J38nB433_p0995c06居士問:「承和尚開示,把生死貼在額上,弟子眼看不J38nB433_p0995c07見,耳聞不著,和尚又作麼生指示?」師云:「翻轉面門腦J38nB433_p0995c08後觀。」乃云:「釋尊昔日太郎當,皇宮不住入山藏,若無J38nB433_p0995c09夜半明星出,六載空教臥雪霜。雖睹明星而了悟真J38nB433_p0995c10常,觀大地而圓融性體,仔細推窮,未免一得一失。何J38nB433_p0995c11故?金屑雖貴,落眼成翳,所以雙放雙收,全明全暗,致J38nB433_p0995c12使數千年來猶令人檢點。眾中有梯天撥路者麼?如J38nB433_p0995c13或袖手旁觀,不惟辜負己靈,亦且埋沒先聖。今幸眾J38nB433_p0995c14居士宿植德本,叨成佛記,處塵勞而深信此事,握慧J38nB433_p0995c15劍於五欲七情之中一斷一切斷,剔心燈於暗室之J38nB433_p0995c16內一明一切明,所以眼不求色,舌不求味,素食靜居,J38nB433_p0995c17陶然自樂。今乘世尊成道之日,恭詣大悲座下,香焚J38nB433_p0995c18牛首,燭點蘭膏,請山僧陞座葛藤。聽取一頌:群英斂J38nB433_p0995c19念越城西,適遇如來成道期,以此觀之為預兆,當來J38nB433_p0995c20必獲佛菩提。」
J38nB433_p0995c21送敏樹、辯堂二位師翁牌位入祖堂,上堂。以拂子拂J38nB433_p0995c22一拂,云:「敏師翁,辯師翁,二老相將出海東,到跨須彌J38nB433_p0995c23歸劫外,雲山隔斷幾重重。如是,則見之不見、逢之不J38nB433_p0995c24逢,只得握兔角杖擊碎千重鐵壁,揮龜毛拂掃清萬J38nB433_p0995c25里煙雲,致使智鑑圓明,了無礙隔,真空湛寂,迥絕倪J38nB433_p0995c26端,直饒那邊更那邊、不可說不可說無邊香水海浮J38nB433_p0995c27幢王剎不出山僧這拂子頭上。所以,我慈雲老人有J38nB433_p0995c28經天緯地之才,出入縱橫於楚、蜀、滇、黔,一條白棒打J38nB433_p0995c29雨敲風,兩片唇皮訶佛罵祖,處處開人天眼目,頭頭J38nB433_p0995c30露佛祖宗猷,享壽八九,堂開六七,至化緣已竟,即登J38nB433_p0996a01座說法而逝。我辯堂師翁髫年出俗,披剃於京都戒J38nB433_p0996a02壇,孤身萬里,參遍諸方,放下腰包,橫眠十字,等觀音J38nB433_p0996a03之慈心,行普賢之願海,春秋七十有餘,臘坐四十單J38nB433_p0996a04四。一日,跏趺坐脫,試問大眾:即今拈香上供已畢,且J38nB433_p0996a05道二位師翁是已涅槃?是未涅槃?若道已涅槃,是謗;J38nB433_p0996a06若道未涅槃,是誑。且作麼生道?還悉麼?幾度白雲空J38nB433_p0996a07聚散,銀河斗柄未曾移。」
J38nB433_p0996a08浴佛,上堂。「但臨此際於諸剎,盡把香湯浴悉達,惟我J38nB433_p0996a09大悲則不然,願拈海水驀頭刷。何故?佛真法身猶若J38nB433_p0996a10虛空,豈以杓水而能浴哉?所以,大悲以大地作盤、須J38nB433_p0996a11彌為寶座、裁白雲作淨巾,將無邊剎海為香湯信手J38nB433_p0996a12拈來、徐徐傾出,通身、遍身,透頂、透底,眼裏、耳裏,徹上、J38nB433_p0996a13徹下,爪、齒、毛、髮俱已磨光刮垢,足、頂、臀、腋盡皆洗滌J38nB433_p0996a14蠲塵,致使三百六十骨節節節光明、八萬四千毫竅J38nB433_p0996a15竅竅洞明,老大世尊被者一浴即現大人相,湧身向J38nB433_p0996a16山僧拂子頭上週行七步、目顧四方。大眾見麼?一手J38nB433_p0996a17指天、一手指地,道:『天上、天下,惟吾獨尊。』大眾聞麼?脫J38nB433_p0996a18或不見、不聞,則背覺合塵,當面錯過去也。」驀豎拂子,J38nB433_p0996a19云:「這個聻?」復以拂子敲禪案三下,云:「萬古碧潭空界J38nB433_p0996a20月,再三撈摝始應知。」下座。
J38nB433_p0996a21上堂。「歸真了妄實然奇,恰遇大悲成道期,錦浪競搏J38nB433_p0996a22金燄影,綠楊搖映白蓮池。隨緣赴感悲無盡,救苦尋J38nB433_p0996a23聲願不移,速把未生前面目,趁斯諦當好修持。即今J38nB433_p0996a24覿體相承,試問大眾:會麼?」良久,云:「切忌漏逗。」便下座。
J38nB433_p0996a25聖一自修比丘尼薙髮,請上堂。「去髮蠲塵事匪輕,俄J38nB433_p0996a26然轉作丈夫身,從茲再不潛閨閣,直上菩提路上行。J38nB433_p0996a27急參究,莫因循,切須識取本來人。試問大眾:即今法J38nB433_p0996a28法昭然,頭頭顯露,金猊吐燄,長明不夜之光;玉鴨啣J38nB433_p0996a29煙,恆篆不雕之印。眉目宛然,見聞不昧,且道喚甚麼J38nB433_p0996a30作本來人?」一僧云:「覿面相呈。」師云:「認著依然猶隔海。」
J38nB433_p0996b01新戒,請上堂。「戒之一字不尋常,三世乘此證寶王,若J38nB433_p0996b02論甚深無上戒,百千萬億舌難量。眾中有能量者麼?」J38nB433_p0996b03西堂問:「三世諸佛即不問,目前一句作麼生?」師云:「照J38nB433_p0996b04膽蟾光沉碧漢。」進云:「如何是秭歸境?」師云:「拍天滄浪J38nB433_p0996b05浸須彌。」進云:「如何是境中人?」師驀頭一棒,僧一喝,師J38nB433_p0996b06云:「臨濟兒孫猶在。」乃云:「戒月騰輝,徹照豈離於性體?J38nB433_p0996b07禪天寥廓,包涵無外乎心宗。所以地天無外此而函J38nB433_p0996b08蓋,王臣無外此而定鼎,士庶無外此而修身,艸木無J38nB433_p0996b09外此而長養,諸佛無外此而紹續,歷祖無外此而傳J38nB433_p0996b10持,尊宿無外此而接物,山僧無外此而利生,諸人無J38nB433_p0996b11外此而受戒。敢問大眾:且道無外個甚麼?」以拂子擊J38nB433_p0996b12案,云:「海神知貴不知價,留與人間光照夜。」
J38nB433_p0996b13鏡一披剃,請上堂。以拂子召云:「鏟除鬚髮不尋常,迥J38nB433_p0996b14然出俗入僧堂,大悲千手相摩囑,頓釋多生累劫殃。J38nB433_p0996b15累劫殃,若冰霜,只須窮究眼前法,切勿參差心上光。J38nB433_p0996b16莫倉惶,坐臥經行偷眼覷,營為動作暗中詳,倘然識J38nB433_p0996b17得無生忍,始獲名傳於楚湘。」
J38nB433_p0996b18上堂。橫按拄杖,云:「太阿橫按,迥絕端猷。」復打圓相,云:J38nB433_p0996b19「寶鏡臨臺,舉無移照,何況大雄始建,爐鞴初開?必須J38nB433_p0996b20丁一卓二,豈肯就四將三?鉗錘惡辣,鎔銅瓶釵釧作J38nB433_p0996b21一金;妙密神機,攪酥酪長河為一味。致使純清絕點,J38nB433_p0996b22百煉精金,轉穢邦成淨土,化火宅作蓮池,永為金剛J38nB433_p0996b23道種、般若根芽。如是,則不辜負山僧抱病陞堂,向曲J38nB433_p0996b24彔座上與汝等東語西話,直要汝透第一義。試問大J38nB433_p0996b25眾:即今地迥天高,山青水綠,日月交輝,森羅顯現,喚J38nB433_p0996b26甚麼作第一義?」眾無語,師喝一喝,下座。
J38nB433_p0996b27因事上堂。「古德云:『施主一粒米,重如須彌山,若還不J38nB433_p0996b28了道,披毛戴角還。』試問大眾:且道這一粒有多少斤J38nB433_p0996b29兩,便道重如須彌?又云披毛戴角。所以雪峰在溈山J38nB433_p0996b30處作米頭,一日溈山入碓磨房云:『莫拋撒十方信心。』J38nB433_p0996c01峰云:『某甲不拋撒。』山於地上拾一粒米云:『莫輕這一J38nB433_p0996c02粒,百千粒從這一粒生。』峰云:『且道這一粒又從甚麼J38nB433_p0996c03處生?』山低頭歸方丈,即上堂召眾云:『食須仔細,米裏J38nB433_p0996c04有蟲。』然這二大老互相愛敬,無非為檀越信心、行人J38nB433_p0996c05脂膏、儂夫血汗,誠恐諸人恣縱放逸,不能了明己事、J38nB433_p0996c06償他宿債,故爾叮囑。今日老僧亦有一偈:告諸崑眾J38nB433_p0996c07莫依稀,常住絲毫當重之,茶飯三餐檀信脂,水薪二J38nB433_p0996c08事行人皮。只宜培補來生福,不可輕拋後世基,不信J38nB433_p0996c09但看牛馬畜,償他宿債苦難啼。」
J38nB433_p0996c10佛成道,上堂。法幢問:「世尊成道即不問,如何是佛興J38nB433_p0996c11境?」師云:「雲樓月殿萬山阿。」進云:「如何是境中人?」師云:J38nB433_p0996c12「曲彔水床千指繞。」進云:「奪人不奪境時如何?」師云:「細J38nB433_p0996c13㓟明月洞林煙。」進云:「奪境不奪人時如何?」師云:「手握J38nB433_p0996c14清風揮遍野。」進云:「設若人境俱奪時如何?」師云:「物我J38nB433_p0996c15渾忘大夜中。」進云:「人境俱不奪時如何?」師云:「焦桐席J38nB433_p0996c16上彈真諦,撾鼓村中演妙音。」進云:「人境已蒙師指示,J38nB433_p0996c17殺活全彰事若何?」師驀頭一棒,云:「且道是殺?是活?」幢J38nB433_p0996c18拂袖歸位。月幢問:「世尊成道已久,今日大悲殿中現J38nB433_p0996c19像一句作麼生道?」師云:「雪壓竹枝千點翠。」進云:「目前J38nB433_p0996c20境界事如何?」師云:「煙籠怪石一堆雲。」進云:「像雖如是,J38nB433_p0996c21且道正法眼衲僧作麼生見?」師打一棒,月一喝,師云:J38nB433_p0996c22「好喝即不無,正法眼作麼生見?」月禮退。問:「世尊成道J38nB433_p0996c23是如何?」師云:「劍為不平離寶匣。」進云:「和尚陞座作麼J38nB433_p0996c24生?」師云:「藥因救病出金瓶。」進云:「世尊和尚且道是同J38nB433_p0996c25是別?」師云:「雪月梅梢鶴。」進云:「恁麼則不別矣。」師云:「墨J38nB433_p0996c26煤夜半雞。」惟一居士問:「四面無門時如何?」師云:「好個J38nB433_p0996c27消息。」士云:「八方無路時如何?」師云:「轉過話頭來。」士云:J38nB433_p0996c28「望和尚指示。」師豎拄杖,云:「向者裏薦取。」乃云:「大道虛J38nB433_p0996c29玄,函天蓋地;真機密運,罩古羅今。日月難並其明,太J38nB433_p0996c30虛豈此其量?大而無外,渺莫邊涯;細而無內,毫無縫J38nB433_p0997a01隙。超城芥而不古,歷拂石而匪今。所以我大覺世尊J38nB433_p0997a02久遠劫來成等正覺,豈待今日睹明星而成道也?然J38nB433_p0997a03雖如是,白雲乍可來青嶂,明月難教下碧天。」
J38nB433_p0997a04傳真,上堂。以拂子拂一拂,云:「四大本空,五蘊非有,縱J38nB433_p0997a05有丹青,無處下手。所以者個事,隱微幽寂,妙奧遐深,J38nB433_p0997a06絕相絕名,無把無鼻,佛眼莫可覷,魔外豈能窺?卷舒J38nB433_p0997a07收放了莫端倪,聞見覺知絕無依倚,不但紫雲范公,J38nB433_p0997a08設若吳道子、張僧繇到者裏亦無下筆處,只得向第J38nB433_p0997a09二門露頭露面,任伊澹描幾筆以遺於後。然雖如是,J38nB433_p0997a10傳得吾色身,難傳法身。何也?妙湛明圓空色相,看渠J38nB433_p0997a11何處可名模?」
小參
J38nB433_p0997a13結制,小參。「叨居法位已多年,究竟未曾出一言,不是J38nB433_p0997a14不言言不得,誠聞怠惰反生愆。何故?蓋此一事最玄J38nB433_p0997a15最妙,無鼻無把,所以中下根信相半,行說全虧,致使J38nB433_p0997a16愈覺愈頑,轉凡轉昧者多矣。不見一古德於三乘十J38nB433_p0997a17二分略頗麤知,只是不持戒律。一尊宿問云:『如何不J38nB433_p0997a18持戒?』荅曰:『不戒而戒,不持而持。』遂招報墮牛中。一日,J38nB433_p0997a19拽車至爛泥裏難行,尊宿近前喚云:『法光。』牛即抬頭,J38nB433_p0997a20尊宿徵云:『何不道拽而非拽?』牛自覺知,便墮淚暴跳J38nB433_p0997a21而死。故世尊云『我寧不說法』者,蓋為此也。然山僧又J38nB433_p0997a22不忍恁麼去,只得權實互興,正遍兼帶,故設音聲道J38nB433_p0997a23場,開演無邊妙相,復建不語禪席,洞明劫外真空。如J38nB433_p0997a24斯建立,別無他說,總欲諸人心心契證元常,步步踏J38nB433_p0997a25著實地,於諸相夾雜之中絕不沾染,向聲色混融之J38nB433_p0997a26際毫無繫縛,成一個乾淨淨的物件、潔白白的東西,J38nB433_p0997a27明如杲日、廓似太虛,到者裏方可紹續宗乘、聯芳佛J38nB433_p0997a28印,在在顯勝身、處處彰妙淨,不以凡聖相隔、不被生J38nB433_p0997a29死相拘,出入自由、卷舒自在,豈不暢快也耶?何必區J38nB433_p0997a30區以此世務為念,而不以此事為要哉?諸人者,音聲J38nB433_p0997b01之道雖明,無言之旨猶未曉在。今夜乃結制之初,欲J38nB433_p0997b02與說明,惜山僧口門窄,儘力道不出,只得舉則公案J38nB433_p0997b03與諸人體會看。昔世尊在座,一外道請益云:『不問有J38nB433_p0997b04言,不問無言,望世尊大垂悲憫。』世尊默然,外道即禮J38nB433_p0997b05謝云:『承世尊大慈大悲,開我迷雲,令我得入。』諸仁者!J38nB433_p0997b06外道秪恁麼問,世尊秪默然,因甚麼外道即悟去?試J38nB433_p0997b07體會看。如體會得出,可謂古今一道、理事一揆;脫或J38nB433_p0997b08未然,東土衲僧不如西天外道去也。」
J38nB433_p0997b09小參。「若論此一事,人人本有、個個不無。既人人本有、J38nB433_p0997b10個個不無,因甚麼又道百姓日用而不知者,何也?蓋J38nB433_p0997b11為諸人自迷真逐妄已來,將此一事汩沒於五欲七J38nB433_p0997b12情之中、見聞聲色之內,從生至生、從劫至劫,浸染濃J38nB433_p0997b13厚,竟不得灑然,故我佛佛出世、祖祖西來,無非為此J38nB433_p0997b14一事。然此事不在別處,就在汝諸人從朝至暮喫飯J38nB433_p0997b15穿衣處、迎賓待客折旋俯仰處、屙屎放尿運水搬柴J38nB433_p0997b16處,乃至一呼一吸、一動一靜處。諸仁者!但折旋俯仰J38nB433_p0997b17處著眼迴光返照,看者喫飯穿衣、迎賓待客、運水搬J38nB433_p0997b18柴,乃至一呼一吸、一動一靜底是個甚麼物?在中間J38nB433_p0997b19鼓舞、在中間搬弄,使人七顛八倒、頭出頭沒。若向間J38nB433_p0997b20中認得真、把得定,勿使他走作一纖毫、動搖一絲髮,J38nB433_p0997b21然後行則同行、住則同住、坐則同坐、臥則同臥,一即J38nB433_p0997b22一切、一切即一,到者裏方可以坐微塵裏轉大法輪、J38nB433_p0997b23於一毛端現寶王剎。雖然,猶未是衲僧向上事在。試J38nB433_p0997b24問諸人:且道如何是衲僧向上事?」轉身,云:「霜天月落J38nB433_p0997b25夜將半,誰其澄潭照影寒?」
J38nB433_p0997b26為左部王檀越對靈小參。「來無蹤,去無所,一道神光J38nB433_p0997b27淨裸裸,天上人間任縱橫,海雲露布實難裹。羅十虛,J38nB433_p0997b28似粟顆,一鎚擊碎太虛空,萬象之中獨露我。雖然如J38nB433_p0997b29是,切不可以形色觀。所以,崑翁王檀越得此三昧,現J38nB433_p0997b30大身於閻浮提內,種佛果於劍戟叢中,廣建橋樑,度J38nB433_p0997c01人度馬,重修殿宇,供佛供僧,致使神人共慶,真俗同J38nB433_p0997c02歡。及至世緣已畢,踢起便行,一夕之間即生淨上。適J38nB433_p0997c03然聞山僧說話,即向拂子頭上巍巍然彰殊勝境、作J38nB433_p0997c04奇特事,與諸人相會了也。且道:諸人見麼?於斯見得,J38nB433_p0997c05則知從上諸佛、歷代祖師安身立命處;若知從上諸J38nB433_p0997c06佛、歷代祖師安身立命處,則知自己一段靈光安身J38nB433_p0997c07立命處;既知自己安身立命處,則知我大檀越生亦J38nB433_p0997c08未曾生、死亦何常死?譬如淨月輪,遍界隨居止。敢問J38nB433_p0997c09大眾:且道王大檀越即今向甚麼處居?」以拂子拂一J38nB433_p0997c10拂,云:「妙嚴清淨土,穩坐白蓮花。」
J38nB433_p0997c11參府傳公請為楊二夫人對靈小參。「圓陀陀,光皎皎,J38nB433_p0997c12亙古亙今常不老,雖然露布海雲遮,恰是金烏透碧J38nB433_p0997c13沼。故古德云:『處生死流,驪珠獨躍於滄海;踞涅槃岸,J38nB433_p0997c14桂輪孤朗於碧天。』如是孤迥露布,海雲而安可遮障J38nB433_p0997c15者哉?所以,歸天夫人來於明,歸於清,歸去來兮未著J38nB433_p0997c16塵,竹影埽階猶有跡,冰輪透海杳無痕。敢問諸人:既J38nB433_p0997c17來去分明,了無痕跡,且道楊夫人一段真靈即今端J38nB433_p0997c18居何所?」良久,云:「清虛湛寂無聲臭,要識真宗覿面看。」
J38nB433_p0997c19千府黎公請為王夫人對靈小參。以拂子打圓相,云:J38nB433_p0997c20「珪月初圓輪玉宇,金風乍扇試靈霄,地軸天關誰撥J38nB433_p0997c21動?卻令木葉滿空飄。所以,秋色澄清,乾坤肅殺,風出J38nB433_p0997c22瀟然,炎涼變改,致使蛩吟幽砌,雁淚長空,一一七穿J38nB433_p0997c23八穴,明明百匝千重。以此觀來,正是王夫人歸根之J38nB433_p0997c24際、復命之時,故爾請山僧對靈小參,舉揚個事,令生J38nB433_p0997c25益死。安敢問大眾:且道王夫人者段真靈即今向甚J38nB433_p0997c26麼處去也?」以拂子畫○相,云:「露柱分明無向背,更於J38nB433_p0997c27何處覓燈紅?」
J38nB433_p0997c28守府王公請為夫人對靈小參。「幾回生,幾回死,生死J38nB433_p0997c29悠悠無定正,自從識破了無生,於諸榮辱何憂喜?雖J38nB433_p0997c30然如是,也要同道者方知,同德者方證。坐中有同德J38nB433_p0998a01同證者麼?如有,則知王夫人歸根復命處;若知王夫J38nB433_p0998a02人歸根復命處,則知自己一段大光明藏無減無增,J38nB433_p0998a03輝騰今古,橫遍十方。如是奇特則且置,且道夫人畢J38nB433_p0998a04竟向甚麼處安身立命?」卓杖,云:「從茲掣斷黃金鎖,一J38nB433_p0998a05道神光遍大千。」
J38nB433_p0998a06參府傅公發夫人柩歸,請對靈小參。「頓卻塵勞意極J38nB433_p0998a07端,徹然直下彩雲鸞,雖居那畔威音外,不出諸人覿J38nB433_p0998a08面看。既居威音那畔,因甚麼又覿面相看?不見道:無J38nB433_p0998a09邊剎海,自他不隔於毫端;十世古今,始終不離於當J38nB433_p0998a10念。如是,則知昇天楊夫人生亦未曾生、滅亦未曾滅,J38nB433_p0998a11猶如淨月輪,隱顯俱明徹。所以,處塵勞而作大佛事、居J38nB433_p0998a12宦海而作大功勳,仁慈隱惻、惠物洪深,便能福慧齊J38nB433_p0998a13修,致使軍民共戴。及至世緣已畢,離塵垢而生淨界、J38nB433_p0998a14棄異地而歸故鄉,如是完備即且置,且道西歸一句J38nB433_p0998a15又作麼生?委悉麼?閻浮樹下親修得,九品蓮中妙果J38nB433_p0998a16圓。」
J38nB433_p0998a17為州牧胞兄明甫王公對靈小參。以拂子指空云:「遙J38nB433_p0998a18憶甫翁千里隔,回眸即便在當然,昔雖未悟而今悟,J38nB433_p0998a19覿體堂堂不動遷。不動遷,步步高登極樂天。試問大J38nB433_p0998a20眾:既不動遷,因甚麼又高登極樂?不見《華嚴經》云:『東J38nB433_p0998a21方入定西方出,南方入定北方出。』所以,我甫翁大人J38nB433_p0998a22來去自由,縱橫無礙,不動步而高登極樂,未舉念而J38nB433_p0998a23週遍大千,捨此生彼,脫凡證聖。即此西歸一句作麼J38nB433_p0998a24生道?從茲迥脫根塵去,直透威音更那邊。」
J38nB433_p0998a25儒學范巽公請為母對靈小參。師以拂子豎起,云:「來J38nB433_p0998a26無形,去無影,地厚天高無見頂,來去分明渺莫知,徒J38nB433_p0998a27將血淚沾衣領。急參尋,莫待冷,免教梧葉砌寒井,幸J38nB433_p0998a28值大悲千手提,俄然迥出萬重嶺,翻身直入淨居天,J38nB433_p0998a29得證無生真法忍。」

示乾齡王居士
J38nB433_p0998b08世尊拈花示眾、達磨航海西來,無非為此一事。然此J38nB433_p0998b09一事明如杲日、廓似太虛,蓋為汝等將此一事撇向J38nB433_p0998b10一邊,斷不說著,遊戲於聲色之中、脫灑於見聞之際,J38nB433_p0998b11如膠似漆,竟不得自由自在、隨處隨安,如斯之輩深J38nB433_p0998b12可痛惜。幸汝決不如斯,所以親近知識,助揚法化。雖J38nB433_p0998b13然,不可得少為足,要將生死二字貼在額頭上,朝也J38nB433_p0998b14如是參、暮也如是參、行也如是參、坐也如是參,乃至J38nB433_p0998b15揚眉瞬目、一卷一舒亦如是參,參得年深月久,自知J38nB433_p0998b16生死去處;若知生死去處,則知佛祖根源;既知佛祖J38nB433_p0998b17根源,人間天上任汝往來、虎穴魔宮隨伊擺手,縱閻J38nB433_p0998b18老子百千里外看伊無分,又有何生死之可慮哉?
示歸源宋居士
J38nB433_p0998b20古德云:「此一事不在內,不在外,不在中間。」試問居士:J38nB433_p0998b21既不在內、外、中間,且道在甚麼處?可去二六時中著J38nB433_p0998b22衣喫飯處回光返照看。者一動一靜、一往一來,在內J38nB433_p0998b23耶?在外耶?在中間耶?一一檢點看。如檢得出,與諸佛J38nB433_p0998b24同一鼻孔遼天,諸祖共一腳跟點地;其或未然,毫釐J38nB433_p0998b25有差,天地懸隔。
示弘玄道人
J38nB433_p0998b27踏盡溪山,參遍知識,無非為者一著子。然者一著子J38nB433_p0998b28在汝腳跟下放光動地,頂門上耀古騰今,蓋為汝不J38nB433_p0998b29覺知。汝若覺知,踢起便行,開口便道,與諸佛諸祖無J38nB433_p0998b30二無別,又何必向人門戶求涕吐也?珍重。
示融一監院
J38nB433_p0998c02監院於方丈禮云:「乞和尚一語,以垂於後。」老僧云:「法J38nB433_p0998c03語者,乃修行之法則也。汝既為監院,必要起早睡晚,J38nB433_p0998c04料理常住,廢寢忘餐,了明己事可也。設若依稀而道J38nB433_p0998c05理未明,倘如忽略而因果不識,則未免流入巨浸。不J38nB433_p0998c06見一僧於門外忽逢二鬼現前,便云:『奉大三差來取J38nB433_p0998c07長老。』僧云:『我乃寺中監院,有院事未明,惟乞轉訴,待J38nB433_p0998c08我七日,將院事交待即來。』其鬼便去。僧回寺,晝夜苦J38nB433_p0998c09參,於七日後,二鬼尋覓不見。倘汝有如是志力,如是J38nB433_p0998c10勇猛,方可離諸苦趣,而高登極樂矣。致囑!致囑!」
