J37nB391_p0553a02余乃楚之孝感世宦,攻儒業,生平專以文學為念,貪J37nB391_p0553a03浮名幻利為樂,竟不知鼻祖之門庭、單傳之要玅。余J37nB391_p0553a04任江南池州府推官,一日私遊九華,探閱藏經,細覽J37nB391_p0553a05《景德傳燈》,閱至分燈錄,觀吾儒中從上諸大老、大護J37nB391_p0553a06法者,不過於裴公深領黃檗之痛棒。有蘇東坡老先J37nB391_p0553a07生者,往往與佛印酬酢,後法嗣東林禪師,雖是海內J37nB391_p0553a08名公,爭奈鼻孔被人穿卻。有黃庭堅先生,選館太史,J37nB391_p0553a09好作艷詞,嘗謁圓通秀和尚,日有慕道之心,後法嗣J37nB391_p0553a10黃龍禪師,雖是聰明之人,難出頭陀之手。有張無盡J37nB391_p0553a11先生,乃閣下侍郎,提刑兩浙,嘗以佛道留心,遍參天J37nB391_p0553a12下大善知識,機鋒掣電,後法嗣兜率悅禪師,一語雜J37nB391_p0553a13著落在法海窟中,一念萬年去也。陸亙大夫法嗣南J37nB391_p0553a14泉和尚,嘗向口角邊討鹽覓醬喫,有麼奇特?余雖露J37nB391_p0553a15布諸大老之醜,未免今日又被長目禪師錐著痛處,J37nB391_p0553a16要請作敘,自露己之醜。長目禪師者,乃同條梓邦寶J37nB391_p0553a17郡鄧氏之子也。年少薙髮,傲骨名山,經歷江海,單瓢J37nB391_p0553a18隻杖,泛吳楚,過洞庭,涉滇雲,尋訪賢士。至彌陽大隱J37nB391_p0553a19寺,撞著冤家路頭恒秀大和尚,奪下腰包,隨侍一載,J37nB391_p0553a20授手歸山。至蒙自白雲山中,坐靜三載,又策杖河西J37nB391_p0553a21普應山圓明寺坐靜。余奉命改補河西知日,往謁之,J37nB391_p0553a22見其師之嚴護,尊其師之威德,非彼國之師乎?乃天J37nB391_p0553a23上人間荷賴之津梁矣。余敬誠拜問:「師之何派?」師曰:J37nB391_p0553a24「吾西蜀破山之派,幻翁之孫,恒公之子。」余曰:「自古道:J37nB391_p0553a25龍生龍子,鳳生鳳兒。」余閱師坐靜,鄉紳護法請上堂、J37nB391_p0553a26小參、語錄、詩歌少許,如珠滾盤,出於大方,句句奪大J37nB391_p0553a27慧杲之體裁、字字雜圓悟勤之骨髓,料揀截中峰本J37nB391_p0553a28之舌頭、棒喝劈洪覺範之正眼,四大家攪成一團,捷J37nB391_p0553a29徑為己。倘今之相季,或久參衲子、或初進晚學,若睹J37nB391_p0553a30師之語錄,縱有宗眼精明、透徹古今者,適難窺師之J37nB391_p0553b01涯岸;縱有胸負五車者,讀師之語錄,未免如水中撈J37nB391_p0553b02月、鏡裏簪花,何能下手乎?但師為人孤硬,不與時人J37nB391_p0553b03同類,草衣木食,日持大悲聖號千遍;舌湧香泉,獨栖J37nB391_p0553b04圓明破寺。做務無暇,掀翻華藏世界;觸著磕著,盡用J37nB391_p0553b05本地家風。一縱一奪,挽回萬峰疊翠;一殺一活,競起J37nB391_p0553b06海上騰波。余雖住在塵勞堆裏、聲色窩窟,動靜語默J37nB391_p0553b07安敢自欺?無時不在無底缽盂裏嚼鐵釘飯、酒肆淫J37nB391_p0553b08房內臥無畏床。雖然如是,黃面老子曾分半座,今日J37nB391_p0553b09與師同一鼻孔,兩處出氣。

J37nB391_p0553c04康熙辛亥春,受蒙自縣個舊眾紳衿同諸耆舊請住J37nB391_p0553c05彌陀寺。當日陞座,拈香云:「此瓣香,舉起輕似鴻毛、放J37nB391_p0553c06下重如泰山,信手拈來爇向爐中,端為祝延J37nB391_p0553c07當今皇帝聖壽萬歲萬歲萬萬歲,伏願J37nB391_p0553c08統億兆而歸皇仁政,宇宙維新;御彌劫而信佛旌崇,J37nB391_p0553c09乾坤永久。」次拈香云:「此瓣香從袈裟世界得來,拋向J37nB391_p0553c10娑婆國土,至誠至禱,爇向爐中,端伸祝為J37nB391_p0553c11東宮皇后、太子千秋、滿朝文武諸大護法高增祿位,J37nB391_p0553c12伏願 效伊周之佐、忠禹舜之勤。」復拈香云:「此瓣香J37nB391_p0553c13共顏子而居陋巷,樂道安貧;契孟軻而弘戰國,輸忠J37nB391_p0553c14信實。爇向爐中,供養 三世諸佛、歷代古錐、天下宗J37nB391_p0553c15匠,伏願遊戲酒肆婬房裏度生,行權不違正法;變形J37nB391_p0553c16鑊湯爐炭中濟物,那辭戴角披毛?再瓣香臭如瘡腿、J37nB391_p0553c17香似沉水,欲取取之不得、欲捨捨之未能,幾番躊躇J37nB391_p0553c18置得,忍氣吞聲,拈來爇向爐中,供養 現住彌陽大J37nB391_p0553c19隱堂上傳臨濟正宗第三十三世本師恒秀老人,用J37nB391_p0553c20酬法乳之恩。」斂衣敷座。雪濤和尚拍椎云:「法筵龍象J37nB391_p0553c21眾,當觀第一義。」師云:「若論第一義,山僧三十年前過J37nB391_p0553c22洞庭,早被西北風吹向蘆華蕊裏去也。眾人莫有透J37nB391_p0553c23網錦鱗麼?不妨請出相見。」問:「銕牛過窗櫺,頭蹄俱過J37nB391_p0553c24了,置尾巴過不得,意旨如何?」師拈拄杖橫膝云:「會麼?」J37nB391_p0553c25僧罔措,師便打,乃云:「五祖演使縵天網,用武略文韜,J37nB391_p0553c26任是沖霄鸞鳳,出不得這格子。光上座即不然,盡十J37nB391_p0553c27方世界是個窗櫺,盡十方世界是個鐵牛身子,盡十J37nB391_p0553c28方世界是個鐵牛尾巴,五臟六腑、肝膽腸胃、三百六J37nB391_p0553c29十骨節,節節相通,八萬四千毛竅,竅竅出氣,使這不J37nB391_p0553c30唧溜漢抱定個尾巴,似餓狗嚼枯骨,臨死不肯放手。J37nB391_p0554a01祇如今日眾護法請山僧住者寺裏,決不釘樁搖櫓,J37nB391_p0554a02賓主相安,焚掃不勞他力,又與毗盧古佛像開光圓J37nB391_p0554a03滿功德,以了住持之信念,佈施齋僧,增檀那之福果。J37nB391_p0554a04若是祖師門下即不然,故永嘉云:『著相布施生天福,J37nB391_p0554a05猶如仰箭射虛空。箭力盡,勢還墜,招得來生不如意。』J37nB391_p0554a06縱伊福慧莊嚴,一生兩世不墜人身,三生四生作麼J37nB391_p0554a07生支持?不如修無漏因,以實相無相、不生不滅、不增J37nB391_p0554a08不減為涅槃道,不取不捨、無依無倚、無求無縛為解J37nB391_p0554a09脫門。不然,且回三毒為三聚淨戒,坐斷善惡兩頭;回J37nB391_p0554a10煩惱作菩提,接物群迷,冤親平等;回六識作六神通,J37nB391_p0554a11不辭向劍樹刀山中,那論虎穴魔宮裏?深弘大願,不J37nB391_p0554a12惜己身,不顧己命,如鹿王菩薩,似惜鴨禪者、割耳道J37nB391_p0554a13士、忍虻耆舊,千百億劫中不求如意,因果逢緣而義J37nB391_p0554a14脫。何故?不見道:行直影端,不須疑惑;聲和響順,豈獲J37nB391_p0554a15追尋?雖然如是,且道超宗一句作麼生道?雞生鳳子J37nB391_p0554a16登九翔,馬產龍駒追千里。」卓拄杖,喝一喝,下座。
J37nB391_p0554a17上堂。「金鴨香銷錦繡幃,笙歌叢裏醉扶歸,少年一段J37nB391_p0554a18風流事,祇許佳人獨自知。這老古錐恁麼偈曰,祇好J37nB391_p0554a19瞞得川巴子,要且難哄當鄉人。光上座即不然,金鴨J37nB391_p0554a20香銷有甚幃?笙歌叢裏是誰歸?風流不向佳人泄,空J37nB391_p0554a21腹熱腸頓九迴。推倒圓悟老人,卻是光上座推倒。諸J37nB391_p0554a22人還有扶得起底麼?」一僧云:「某甲得。」師云:「圓悟老人J37nB391_p0554a23在那裏?」僧擬議,師便打,下座。
J37nB391_p0554a24上堂。「智者不講經,仁者不論道,聖人多註解,凡夫被J37nB391_p0554a25他覆。三人兩隻靴,兩人共頂帽,石女產麒麟,須瑞而J37nB391_p0554a26不玅。自性天真佛,猿啼并虎嘯,好與三十棒,高處要J37nB391_p0554a27鏟平,低處要堆厚。」良久,云:「曾到祝融峰,海上紅輪跳。」
J37nB391_p0554a28上堂。「眼若不睡,諸夢自除;心若不異,萬法一如。祖師J37nB391_p0554a29恁麼道,祇知截人後尾,要且不解攤頭。光上座即不J37nB391_p0554a30然,眼也要睡,夢也要作,心也要通,法也要說。不見道:J37nB391_p0554b01有時鞭木馬向火裏騰輝今古,有時抱石女入海底J37nB391_p0554b02渾身絕跡。」良久,云:「心不負人,面無慚色。」
J37nB391_p0554b03上堂。「寂光三昧遍河沙,凡聖含靈共我家。一念不生J37nB391_p0554b04全體現,六根纔動被雲遮。斷除煩惱重增病,趣向真J37nB391_p0554b05如亦是邪。隨分世緣無罣礙,涅槃生死等空華。張拙J37nB391_p0554b06秀才恁麼道,美則美矣,猶有俗氣在。山僧即不然,寂J37nB391_p0554b07光三昧統河沙,凡聖含靈頭路差。一念不生跨玉象,J37nB391_p0554b08六根纔動斬龍蛇。斷除煩惱窮算計,趣向真如富者J37nB391_p0554b09奢。莫道世緣無罣礙,都城浪子戀脂花。」
J37nB391_p0554b10上堂。「山花開似錦,澗水湛如藍。一句明報身佛,一句J37nB391_p0554b11透法身佛。若人定當得出,許你坐曹溪勝過六祖,許J37nB391_p0554b12你歸西去超越達摩。不然,飲水也雖妨噎。」
康熙癸丑歲,通海縣諸山耆舊領眾紳士請住湧金J37nB391_p0554b14寺。
J37nB391_p0554b15上堂。「至道莫測,愈窮愈遠,偶爾忘失,擲在目前。劈之J37nB391_p0554b16不碎,捏之不團,高低險危,左右逢源。推之不去,瞻之J37nB391_p0554b17在前,深溝野壑,一概塞滿。不與菩提共處,豈礙煩惱J37nB391_p0554b18合煎?婬房酒肆,喜怒不遷;屠兒魁膾,義氣相連。道無J37nB391_p0554b19名字,孰能強安?道無形狀,描邈難傳。不在三乘十二J37nB391_p0554b20分內,豈在五教言詮?攝歸方寸,藏身始無蹤跡;放之J37nB391_p0554b21不去,縱橫體遍大千。壁立萬仞,佛祖難窺;撲落丘陵,J37nB391_p0554b22樵牧同歡。蜉蝣出穴,承誰恩力?蝴蝶穿花,晝夜相生。J37nB391_p0554b23入山呼而則響,退步二三,覓之不見。此玅道兮,無根J37nB391_p0554b24無蒂,能養萬物,統森羅為己眷屬,包八卦兮御星象,J37nB391_p0554b25驅兩儀兮明知有物。玄玄難極,不可思,不可議,晃晃J37nB391_p0554b26然,沒巴鼻,湖南女子害相思,江北郎君雙流涕。」師以J37nB391_p0554b27手拍膝云:「相識滿天下,知心能有幾?」
J37nB391_p0554b28上堂。「不用尋真,無真可尋。不消遣妄,無妄可遣。嶺上J37nB391_p0554b29一團雲,坡下一隊牛。三個鷂子相打,內中有個必勝。J37nB391_p0554b30二人齊下浴池,內中有個不濕。不見道,孟姜女節氣J37nB391_p0554c01哭倒長城,究竟元來不出范郎妻。呵呵!」
J37nB391_p0554c02上堂。「大通智勝佛,十劫坐道場,佛法不現前,不得成J37nB391_p0554c03佛道。」師云:「既坐道場,因甚麼不成佛道?既成佛道,為J37nB391_p0554c04甚麼佛法不現前?大通智勝也是靈龜曳尾,徒勞拂J37nB391_p0554c05跡。僧問歸宗:『如何是佛?』歸云:『我向汝道,汝還信否?』僧J37nB391_p0554c06云:『和尚誠言,安敢不信?』歸云:『汝便是。』僧云:『如何保任?』J37nB391_p0554c07歸云:『一翳在目,空花亂墜。』汝等諸人還識歸宗語麼?J37nB391_p0554c08識歸宗語,便識大通智勝佛落處。不然,光上座為伊J37nB391_p0554c09指出。」揮拂子云:「還見麼?全心即佛,全佛即心,心佛不J37nB391_p0554c10二,彼我無差。離心佛相,是名真坐道場;離我我見,是J37nB391_p0554c11名真成佛道。已成佛竟,為甚麼又道佛法不現前?皆J37nB391_p0554c12為不能轉山河大地歸自己去,不能轉自己歸山河J37nB391_p0554c13大地去。所以佛法不現前,不得成佛道。有僧問明覺J37nB391_p0554c14云:『如何是諸佛之本源?』覺云:『千峰寒色。』者豈不是轉J37nB391_p0554c15山河大地歸自己去?僧云:『向上還有事也無?』覺云:『雨J37nB391_p0554c16滴巖花。』者豈不是轉自己歸山河大地去?」驀拈拄杖J37nB391_p0554c17云:「這個是拄杖子,將甚麼喚作山河大地?」良久,云:「也J37nB391_p0554c18是一場漏逗。」
J37nB391_p0554c19上堂。「風濤松嶺,四禪之下,洪波運箭墜鋒鋩,劫到想J37nB391_p0554c20天還壽命。指月話月,自設撈摝之殊途,但盡凡情,本J37nB391_p0554c21虛出沒。」驀舉拂子,召眾,云:「向這裏會得去,始知玉浪J37nB391_p0554c22翻波,不假輪王頂髻;紅爐焰裏,顯現百億神威。雲收J37nB391_p0554c23霧捲,風過群靈而體玅;隨緣赴感,應無所住是阿誰?J37nB391_p0554c24獸鳴兔走,大施門開解脫道;漁父樵歌,不忘付囑暗J37nB391_p0554c25傳機。梅寒鬥雪,全彰古佛肝膽;華綻喬林,獨露涅槃J37nB391_p0554c26玅心。所以道:見色原非色,聞聲不是聲,若作實義會,J37nB391_p0554c27埋沒汝己靈。說法如畫餅,原為止兒啼,目前繫驢杖,J37nB391_p0554c28誰悟又誰迷?殺活在臨時,權衡立宗規,若是本色匠,J37nB391_p0554c29相逢不展眉。德山有言:『一毛吞海,海性無虧;纖芥投J37nB391_p0554c30鋒,鋒利不動。學有學無,惟我知之。』山僧如此舉揚,且J37nB391_p0555a01道為人一句作麼生?」良久,云:「鷺鷥飛入碧波中,抖擻J37nB391_p0555a02一團銀繡線。」
住河西縣圓明寺,邑侯張公諱象賁請J37nB391_p0555a04上堂。卓拄杖,云:「未入圓明,處處攢花簇錦,迦葉道場;J37nB391_p0555a05已入圓明,頭頭月白風清,文殊境界。已入、未入,信手J37nB391_p0555a06拈來,著一分奉釋迦牟尼佛、著一分奉多寶佛塔,燃J37nB391_p0555a07燈佛即不與我授記,可謂張公喫酒李公醉。昨夜寒J37nB391_p0555a08山子道:『圓明寺裏二三十年塵生破釜、草絕窮嚴,晝J37nB391_p0555a09看牧童燒糞火、夜聽青獐老猿啼,窮廝炒、餓廝煎,如J37nB391_p0555a10何得個自由去?』不見道:青蘿寅緣,直上寒松之頂;白J37nB391_p0555a11雲淡佇,出沒太虛之中。萬法本閒,為人自鬧。恁麼,你J37nB391_p0555a12暫舉心,塵勞先起;如我按指,海印發光。」以拂子擊禪J37nB391_p0555a13床,云:「今到這裏,傍通一線,露布賢劫面門。雖然如是,J37nB391_p0555a14也要應時及節。爭奈他一口吸盡西江水,且向珊瑚J37nB391_p0555a15枝上拈一片無滋味香,就爐供養 見任河西縣令J37nB391_p0555a16張公,伏願 御白牛而出化城、施祇園而登寶所,豈J37nB391_p0555a17似山僧欲向三家村裏躲雨、右廟廊下藏頭?雖不是J37nB391_p0555a18嚴陵遯跡之所,慶幸洗耳掛瓢之場,總為明人不作J37nB391_p0555a19暗事,貴圖現前緇白男人同一眼見、同一耳聞,若作J37nB391_p0555a20聲色會,黧奴白牯塵沙劫無有出頭時節;倘作佛法J37nB391_p0555a21商量,擬將魚目以比明珠。丹霞過慧林,寒逼將木佛J37nB391_p0555a22焚燒,院主道:『何得燒我木佛?』霞以杖撥灰云:『燒取舍J37nB391_p0555a23利。』主云:『木佛豈有舍利耶?』霞曰:『既無舍利,再取幾尊。』J37nB391_p0555a24主眉鬚墜地。」師曰:「丹霞燒木佛,以強凌弱;院主眉鬚J37nB391_p0555a25墮地,柔能克剛。今日山僧入此寺,也要燒取幾尊木J37nB391_p0555a26佛,諸人向未寒朕兆以前開得一隻眼,便能識得丹J37nB391_p0555a27霞燒木佛的事、院主眉鬚墮落的緣因。不然,更聽一J37nB391_p0555a28頌:父母未生前,眉鬚早墮地,因風吹動火,暫借他人J37nB391_p0555a29力。識心起我見,無端遭霹靂,條條在目兮,爍爍沒巴J37nB391_p0555a30鼻。」
J37nB391_p0555b01上堂。「病除不須服藥,氣滿徒勞食參。究玅窮玄,未勉J37nB391_p0555b02向好肉上挖瘡;諷經禮懺,可惜為甚重生遽障。六祖J37nB391_p0555b03原不住曹溪,達摩何曾西歸去?」卓拄杖,良久,云:「是何J37nB391_p0555b04心行?」
J37nB391_p0555b05上堂。「濁兮者是天,清氣者是地,陰陽調和,鬼神寂息,J37nB391_p0555b06截斷衲僧伎倆,佛祖沒處出氣。」喝一喝,云:「這個聻?」
J37nB391_p0555b07上堂。「三界不安,猶如火宅。盡大地是個胡餅,何處著J37nB391_p0555b08三界?既無三界,火宅從甚得來?」驀拈拄杖云:「識取自J37nB391_p0555b09己兒孫,休戀他家眷屬。」
J37nB391_p0555b10上堂。「有心是業種,無心是道場。雲光曾做牛,涕泣兩J37nB391_p0555b11心傷。明白不通理,滯在個名相。持戒不修行,雲上更J37nB391_p0555b12加霜。」顧視左右云:「仔細。」
J37nB391_p0555b13師淨髮,張天德、胡應魁居士請 上堂。「昨日要晴卻J37nB391_p0555b14雨,今朝要雨卻晴,好事弄成煩惱,年年淨髮求人,不J37nB391_p0555b15如戴冠做個救苦天尊。三牧本屬一源,誰人論彼親J37nB391_p0555b16疏?有女須當早嫁,有男決定要婚,莫待光陰錯過,何J37nB391_p0555b17緣報國資恩?所以,雲門大師常向山門頭合掌、佛殿J37nB391_p0555b18裏燒香,禱祝咒願:『願黃梅石女生兒,母子團圓;少室J37nB391_p0555b19無角銕牛,常甘水草。』雲門恁麼說話,不管長安甚鬧,J37nB391_p0555b20惟貴我國咸寧。光上座則不然,也要據斯相當。今日J37nB391_p0555b21且向毗藍園裏合掌、無憂樹下燒香,禱祝咒願:『願摩J37nB391_p0555b22耶夫人謹守閨門,寸步不移,管取天下太平,皇風永J37nB391_p0555b23扇。』倘有纖毫滲漏,依舊日午打三更。」
J37nB391_p0555b24上堂。揮拂子,云:「源流不止問如何,久住令人賤;真照J37nB391_p0555b25無邊說似他,勤來親也疏。離相離名人不秉,觸著磕J37nB391_p0555b26著吹毛;用了急須磨抱得,不哭孩兒有甚用處?昨夜J37nB391_p0555b27楊岐三腳驢子報道:『溈山水牯牛喫盡國王水土,有J37nB391_p0555b28犯人家苗稼。』六根纔動,青山起舞;一塵纔起,大地全J37nB391_p0555b29收。雪峰毬一擊百碎,破砂盆從新扶起。雲門扇子𨁝J37nB391_p0555b30跳上三十三天,築著梵釋鼻孔。須彌主人喝一聲:『如J37nB391_p0555c01今南瞻部洲有千七百善知識,浸殺在鼻祖法海裏,J37nB391_p0555c02還許相救麼?』娑竭龍王打一棒,血似盆傾。到如今,只J37nB391_p0555c03得三根骨、兩條筋,七零八落。且道:眾中還有與雲門J37nB391_p0555c04出氣者麼?」卓拄杖,云:「觀世音菩薩來也,請進齋堂吃J37nB391_p0555c05茶去。」
J37nB391_p0555c06說戒,上堂。問:「面前銀山銕壁,背後萬丈懸巖,阿誰出J37nB391_p0555c07得頭也無?」師喚,僧諾,師云:「若不入虎穴,爭得金豹子?」J37nB391_p0555c08乃云:「一法若有,毗盧墜在凡夫;萬法若無,普賢失其J37nB391_p0555c09境界。正當恁麼時,且道非非想天幾人退位?」豎拂子,J37nB391_p0555c10召眾,云:「百億須彌爐、百億華藏海,盡在山僧拂子頭J37nB391_p0555c11上湧出,諸大菩薩、諸阿羅漢次第出興,轉大法輪,說J37nB391_p0555c12般若無邊際;般若既無邊際,十方世界亦無邊際;十J37nB391_p0555c13方世界既無邊際,諸人本命元辰亦無邊際;本命元J37nB391_p0555c14辰既無邊際,諸解脫門亦無邊際;諸解脫門既無邊J37nB391_p0555c15際,此無住心亦無邊際;此無住心既無邊際,山僧以J37nB391_p0555c16此無邊際境說此無邊際。昔有僧持戒精嚴,忽因夜J37nB391_p0555c17行,踏著一物作聲,謂是一蝦蟆腹子,有子無數,驚悔J37nB391_p0555c18不已。正睡,夢數百蝦蟆索命,其僧深懷更怖,至天曉J37nB391_p0555c19觀之,乃一老茄耳。其僧當下疑情頓息,方知三界無J37nB391_p0555c20法,解履踐修行。這僧只知道三界無法,不知頓破疑J37nB391_p0555c21情處,要知有向上一竅在。為頌出:參差松柏籠煙薄,J37nB391_p0555c22重疊峰巒月上遲,夜聽寒江漁父笛,順風吹過洞庭J37nB391_p0555c23西。」
J37nB391_p0555c24得戒師誕,上堂。「心月孤圓,恢豁人天正眼;辣棒當軒,J37nB391_p0555c25殺活佛祖靈機。」問:「靈機且擲,如何是一印印空?」師云:J37nB391_p0555c26「露柱畫眉。」「如何是一印印水?」師云:「泥牛火裏嚼寒冰。」J37nB391_p0555c27「如何是一印印泥?」師云:「琉璃瓶子盛穢物。」問:「一口吸J37nB391_p0555c28盡西江水即不問,如何是意到句不到?」師云:「矮子不J37nB391_p0555c29渡河。」「如何是句到意不到?」師云:「長人不著靴。」「如何是J37nB391_p0555c30意句俱到?」師云:「薰風自南來,殿閣生微涼。」「如何是意J37nB391_p0556a01句俱不到?」師云:「雪深迷了路,黃昏馬不前。」士問:「古鏡J37nB391_p0556a02未磨時若何?」師云:「寒山逢拾得。」「古鏡已磨時若何?」師J37nB391_p0556a03云:「國清寺裏少知音。」「已磨未磨又作麼生?」師豎拂子,J37nB391_p0556a04云:「會麼?」士拂袖便出,師云:「好一面古鏡,可惜照不著。」J37nB391_p0556a05乃云:「長空一月映千江,處處圓通觀自在,白雲深處J37nB391_p0556a06不朝天,頭頭遊戲毗盧界。進一步,許嘉州大象一口J37nB391_p0556a07吸盡錦江水;退一步,那容陝府銕牛久住長安?不進J37nB391_p0556a08不退,使黃花翠竹常現般若之光,青山綠水顯露古J37nB391_p0556a09佛心源。破沙盆裏和羅飯,不從香積世界得來;急水J37nB391_p0556a10灘上打毬,徒勞猢猻眨眼。」舉:「溈山睡次,仰山問訊,溈J37nB391_p0556a11以面向壁,仰曰:『和尚因甚如此?』溈云:『我剛纔做一夢,J37nB391_p0556a12子與我圓看。』仰取水一盆與溈洗面次,香嚴到,溈云:J37nB391_p0556a13『我剛纔做一夢,寂子與我圓了,子要與我圓看。』香乃J37nB391_p0556a14點茶一碗,溈歎云:『二子見解過於鶖子。』」師云:「溈山作J37nB391_p0556a15夢因風吹火。二人圓夢用力不多,肘後靈符須是溈J37nB391_p0556a16山始得。今日我得戒璩山和尚降生,與溈山作夢是J37nB391_p0556a17同?是別?若道是同,截鶴豈能續鳧?若道是別,銀盆裏J37nB391_p0556a18長年盛雪。雖然如是,且道為人一句作麼生?」良久,云:J37nB391_p0556a19「淨法身本無出沒,大悲願力示現受生。」
J37nB391_p0556a20佛誕,上堂。問:「世尊未離兜率,已降皇宮;未出母胎,度J37nB391_p0556a21人已畢。意旨如何?」師曰:「牛圈裏是牛,馬圈裏是馬。」進J37nB391_p0556a22云:「豈不隨類去耶?」師便打,僧一喝,乃云:「靈明假為佛,J37nB391_p0556a23愚魯分優劣,虛空不曾壞,修行塗結業,聲色如影響,J37nB391_p0556a24覓地不可得。」以拂子驀召眾,云:「昔雲門推倒世尊,山J37nB391_p0556a25僧今又扶起。且道扶起後如何?更聽頌出:爛額焦頭J37nB391_p0556a26糞裏寶,相逢覿面沒邊表,舒光腦後重現瑞,處處神J37nB391_p0556a27通風偃草。」喝一喝,下座。
J37nB391_p0556a28秉拂,上堂。問:「獅子未出窟時如何?」師云:「風行草偃。」「已J37nB391_p0556a29出窟時如何?」師云:「水到渠成。」「已出、未出時如何?」師云:J37nB391_p0556a30「逼塞虛空。」「且道成佛後又作麼生?」「有水皆涵月,無山J37nB391_p0556b01不帶雲。」乃舉:「文殊、普賢起佛見、法見,貶向二銕圍山,J37nB391_p0556b02如今還許他委悉也無?不見道:太平原是將軍定,不J37nB391_p0556b03許將軍見太平。今日我圓明寺裏有個伶俐衲僧起J37nB391_p0556b04佛見、法見,山僧倒退三千里。何故?國清才子貴,家富J37nB391_p0556b05小兒嬌。」
J37nB391_p0556b06三韓劉定邦、余登科二檀護送法衣,請J37nB391_p0556b07上堂。拈衣云:「者個法衣,披起則嚬呻六種,放下則萬J37nB391_p0556b08國咸寧,胎卵離慾,濕化滅想,五濁劫盡,三塗脫化。既J37nB391_p0556b09然如斯,且道施者、受者後還有優劣也無?」良久,云:「但J37nB391_p0556b10行好事,莫問前程。」
住臨安府寶覺禪院,慧月禪人請J37nB391_p0556b12上堂。問:「靈雲未見桃花時如何?」師云:「價重娑婆。」「見後J37nB391_p0556b13如何?」師云:「半文不直。」「且如玄沙不肯他又作麼生?」師J37nB391_p0556b14云:「苦口是良藥。」問:「如何是龍潭境?」師云:「兩峰觀不足,J37nB391_p0556b15秋月印潭寒。」「如何是境中人?」師云:「石女熱腸傾不盡,J37nB391_p0556b16木人愁聽五更鐘。」「超宗一句作麼生?」師云:「塞破汝口。」J37nB391_p0556b17僧一喝,師云:「病入膏肓漢,難言醫者痾。」乃云:「一人在J37nB391_p0556b18孤峰頂上,無出身之路,朝打三千,暮打八百;一人在J37nB391_p0556b19十字街頭,一無向背,心不負人,面無慚色。不是釋迦J37nB391_p0556b20文,本非維摩詰,毗婆尸佛早留心,棄卻珍寶織芥籬。J37nB391_p0556b21蝦蟆吞大象,時人笑不徹;鯉魚上竹竿,一日一千里。J37nB391_p0556b22蝦跳不出斗,無端遭點額,金烏拍天飛,玉兔坐明月,J37nB391_p0556b23彈指圓成八萬門,剎那滅卻僧祇劫。」復舉:「前百丈,僧J37nB391_p0556b24問:『大修行人還落因果也無?』丈云:『不落因果。』墮五百J37nB391_p0556b25劫野狐身。後百丈問:『大修行人還落因果也無?』丈云:J37nB391_p0556b26『不昧因果。』脫卻野狐身。」師云:「一墮一脫,自招其禍,全J37nB391_p0556b27體恁麼來,全體如是住,赤條條,光爍爍。山僧即不然,J37nB391_p0556b28問:『大修行人還落因果也無?』向他道:『兵隨印轉,將逐J37nB391_p0556b29符行。』」喝一喝,下座。
J37nB391_p0556b30師誕,上堂。「一靈塊,我形骸,天地受生而托質,如水上J37nB391_p0556c01泡、似草頭霜,幻生幻滅,有甚了期?山僧在塵得智十J37nB391_p0556c02七、八、九,俟後薙髮,著著現前,恰似冤家債主觸境遇J37nB391_p0556c03緣,便是這個。大矣哉!巍巍乎!眼光射入兜率宮中,彈J37nB391_p0556c04開彌勒樓閣,三十三天光光相接,亦無窮盡。闊矣哉!J37nB391_p0556c05蕩蕩乎!世界倘有缺陷處,斯光圓滿成就,亦無邊畔。J37nB391_p0556c06有時歌舞,聽鸝聲而起性;有時放曠,睹山色而舒心。J37nB391_p0556c07冬季雪滿群山,獼猿披古鏡而投青嶂;秋天月明千J37nB391_p0556c08里,丹鳳啣寶珠而趣向紫微。盡從這裏付囑去,不過J37nB391_p0556c09借他舌頭而發機。奈何盡大地人不守本分,這條窮J37nB391_p0556c10性命落在目前久矣,卻被楊岐三腳驢子轉身退步J37nB391_p0556c11踏碎了也。幸慶今生逢緣,捏聚一團,雖是他人之物,J37nB391_p0556c12竊得自己受用。畢竟為人一句作麼生?」以拂子打圓J37nB391_p0556c13相,云:「義海不同性海。」喝一喝,下座。
